✓ LimitedThere is no way to set up more than one profile. If you have more than one child with different reading levels, you are setting yourself up as picking who the app is for. There is also no way of adjusting the child’s parameters after you leave the set up stage. I will have to delete this app as I don’t want 2 of my three children to feel left out. Using this for a child is just ridiculous to charge that for a children’s app. There should be at least a few free books to try out before purchasing. ✓ Terrible Support/Terrible App. Avoid this AppI tried this as part of Covid home schooling supplementary learning for my toddlers/grade 1 children. It offered a 7 day trial so I figured I can see how my kids engage with it and whether it offered additional benefits to what we were already using. It did not work out for them so after a few days, I didn’t pay attention to it. After 7 days, a charge appears for a full year of service. No secondary email/logon prompt to signup (ie trial period as ended it so please pay up). Just straight to my credit card. After countless emails, through a Bot customer service system, they referred me to Apple as it was charged through their store…that’s a lie. They charge direct through credit card so nothing to do with Apple. Again through the bot email chain i went and finally after 30 days of getting no where, I have contacted my credit card company to see if they have better luck. Terrible after product support. ✓ Religious content and other questionable contentOur enjoyment of this beautiful app has been shattered. The book of genesis? Thomas and Friends and the fat controller? It’s clear nobody is paying attention to this content. If I had known there was religious content i would have NEVER bought this at a $60 price tag. I contacted the app but they are at no obligation to correct this. Just be warned you are buying this app without the benefit of a filter for the books. So disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone who is not Christian. ✓ CAN'T DO THE QUIZZES!!! 😔My son loves this app but he hasn't been able to do the quizzes yet. ✓ No parental controls (beware)Being a teacher and seeing how our next generation of kids are addicted to their phone and games, it is of utmost importance for developers to recognize the addictive nature of devices. When we first purchased this app for our son, it truly was great. However, about a year later, he discovered he could play the games directly from the world board and now, no longer bothers reading the books. Not only that but the “rewards” in the app have also created an obsession with him (ex. Use the app for 7 consecutive days). He is now nagging us to use it constantly and has tantrums if we refuse. This is such an unacceptable oversight by the developers it boggles the mind. It is so important to give parents control of what kids can access on their phones. The LAST thing we want from an educational app is unrestricted access to more addictive games. On the verge of deleting the app despite buying the lifetime membership. What 6 year old knows how to spell excited? The only part of the “park” that they did like was the coloring and painting, which is not what I got this for. So I thought I love my grandson so maybe he would enjoy it and with fingers crossed I downloaded the app I was thrilled when the first two or three pages were absolutely perfect. But then…… The book would not stop moving to and fro and I have no idea why. It was oscillating about 60 to 100 times per minute. I live near an ocean so I was getting seasick. I don’t know if there is one book that they have that’s totally free to really try Out as a way of showing off the potential. And when the first screen popped up it was about $27 or so to buy what I thought was one book. Turns out it is a number of books but that was still a bit of a shocker right off the bat and at that point I was thinking oh forget this as it would be too expensive. You may want to rethink your approach to selling. If there were one or two books that captivated and did what One anticipated it would be a top selling feature to purchase more books. I think there is top notch potential here and probably a few bugs that need to be fixed. Works perfectly on a two-year-old or almost 3-year-old iPad Pro larger screen until The seasickness began.
