✓ Very pleased with Osmo Pocket and Mimo app so farI purchased my Osmo Pocket at the Apple Store in San Luis Obispo, CA, a couple of weeks ago, and I think it a great device. I haven’t mastered the app yet, but It’s working quite well for me so far. The one thing I would like is for it to capture all EXIF/meta-data about a photo and video when using the OP connected to the phone. If it already does, that’s great. However, I haven’t discovered this capability yet if the app does this. For anyone who are concerned about the OP not connecting with the iPhone when the phone’s in a protective case, I solved this by buying a IPHONE 8 PLUS SI CASE. It’s cutout at the bottom is large enough that OP connect with the phone perfectly. Also, to secure the OP when tethered with my iPhone 7+, I bought the RCGEEK Phone Mount that’s compatible with OSMO Pocket. It has an accessory mount with aluminum quick release and magnet to keep it tightly fixed to the bracket. It has cold shoe accessory adapter for an external microphone and a 1/4” screw hole for tripod mounting..Version: 1.1.0
✓ Very goodI like this, I actually use it more than some of my other editors on my iPhone X. There are problems and flaws, but it is very very easy to use for the editing side of things. Sadly I expected MORE updates and AI-themes and enhancements as they are pretty lame and far too short…. and also the ability to specify which clip goes where and specify which ‘section’ of the clip is used in the AI editor is a serious mistake by DJI (HINT - a monthly update of a new AI theme would be really promotional of you guys at DJI) FAULT: having spent time on a longer cut of edits in the pro edit (not the AI) and previously saved it…. when you exit again later without saving (maybe you were not happy with your edits) it should do JUST THAT … it guess what… it exits without saving but actually DELETES your whole edit work.. GONE!…. BYEBYE! All work deleted…. No warning and no confirmation question!…. Just EXIT and all your work gone! CRAZY! But…. I like this app a lot, just fix some of the silly mistakes!.Version: 1.5.22
✓ So far so good!Not used my OM4 gimbal for a shoot yet, but so far the app has worked great. It seems well designed, and it takes only a few minutes to familiarise yourself with the various functions. Using with an iPhone 11 Pro: all three main lenses available to flick between using the zoom button on the OM4, and 4K 60fps is available (sounds like others had issues with these aspects, but it’s been 100% fine for me so far). Activation (binding the Serial Number of the OM4 device to my details via the app) was smooth, and that process included the activation of the Care Refresh DJI accidental damage insurance I purchased. Seems like any activation issues (reported by other reviewers) may have been sorted. Quite easy to register and activate. I’ll update if any of the above changes, but so far I’m pleased with the App, and the device itself is fantastic - amazing value!.Version: 1.5.2

✓ Ok but could be betterI love my osmo pocket apart from one thing. The ability to do a motion Timelapse is missing one key feature - real-time recording. There should be the ability to do motion control for recording things with erratic movements like a 3D printer. This allows a controlled smooth motion without the lost frames resulting from a timelapse. Please fix this ASAP.Version: 1.2.24
✓ Great & Intuitive but lacking 24FPSIf you buy a DJI Product, you’re probably looking for a professional-level app. Or at least the option of one. Whilst the DJI Mimo App has many great features, it is still lacking compared to the competition. I bought the DJI Mobile 3 and whilst the iPhone XS has the ability to shoot in 4K 24FPS, this isn’t allowed on the Mimo app. DJI Mimo should grant this option. I am already contemplating moving apps to the competition since this feature isn’t in place. What’s confusing is that when paired with the Osmo Pocket, Mimo does allow you to shoot in 24FPS so the ability is there. My advice, copy and paste the professional/basic setting option that you have in the Pocket for the rest of the product line. The ability to adjust FPS and Bitrate is extremely valuable. Some huge pluses are face tracking and object tracking, which are quick and responsive. Plus the hyper lapse and time lapse features. Story mode is a little gimicky but fun..Version: 1.2.2
✓ Excellent App.Excellent app and works will with the iPhone. The templates for editing are really fun and easy to use. I do a lot of videos of my son In his day to day activities and would like to suggest even more fun kids/adventure themed templates to use for videos. ✓ SmoothWhile I detest the idea of having to activate a device online before being able to use it, I have to say that it all worked smoothly and was up and running within 5 minutes. Installed the app on my ipad mini 4 over mobile wifi, connected the osmo pocket via the lightning plug, entered my account details and it activated ok. Not what I expected at all... ✓ A Few features to add?Hey guys could you consider adding the following; -ability to follow while using the contrast? (The one that you walk towards or away from someone and it does a live photo) mode so that i can use it solo and just walk toward the camera instead - ability to add more then 4 points in timelapse and also add this feature (Pre configured Automated movements) to video and slow motion -i know its probably not possible, but being able to use the follow function while in other apps such as using it in a live video, as that is just not possible at the moment Thx for your consideration, i love my Osmo Gimbal 3 havnt had a single problem with it.Version: 1.7.12

✓ UPDATE ADDED to Buggy, keeps crashing, causes a click with mounted microphoneThe DJI OSMO MOBILE 3 came highly recommended, and isn’t cheap. It’s great in theory. But the app keeps closing on me! Constantly! I’ve tried all the workarounds, still happens. Worse yet, I bought a pricey microphone that mounts in the lightning port. There is a click at the beginning of any video, very distracting when stringing them together. This does not happen when using the camera app on the iPhone, but then you can’t use all of the features of the Mobile 3. I’m not happy! UPDATE-after hours of experimenting, it turns out that the Shure MV88 microphone does not play well with the DJI app. When the microphone was attached, app crashed constantly, and had a popping sound at the beginning of each video. Remove the microphone and VOILA! Works like a charm. I’m happy with DJI OSMO MOBILE 3, returning the $150 microphone and using Apple earbuds instead..Version: 1.3.1
✓ Good with Osmo Mobile 3The Osmo Mobile 3 is a great piece of kit, but let down by the Mimo camera. The white balance is very cold and every picture and video needs colour grading. DJI should compare the direct pictures taken from the iPhone camera and the Mimo app. The contrast is stark! Using with the iPhone 11 Pro..Version: 1.2.4
✓ Great camera, not meant for streaming.Please allow seamless streaming to twitch. Additionally when connecting via RTMP, it says no networks (wifi) are found. Even after trouble shooting with support, the issue still has yet to be fixed for over a year. (Pocket 2) Adding this, or webcam allowance functionality, would be extremely important to address given the number of people itching for these problems to be addressed..Version: 1.7.8

✓ First DJI product reviewJust got the DJI Osmo 6. Overall great product and a lot of the issues people have can be solved with tuning features in app. The app is easy to use and I understand you need it to access all the features, but that is where the product and app lack overall. I’d like to use the product to track my face while FaceTiming with friends and family and from what I can tell, you can’t do that. ✓ Outstanding App for making quick shoots happenColor me impressed, I like this app. Obviously I got this app because I own an Osmo Mobile 3. I put it through a pretty hefty workload today and it was perfect. The weight was right (matched to my SE 2020) and the controls were smooth. But the footage? Yeah. It’s good. I’m proficient with Filmic Pro, and I know I can rely on it to make some great footage. The DJI app blew my expectations away. Other than minor frame rate/shutter mismatches, everything was smooth. Files were decently sized and easy to work with on my post workflow. Keep up the good work..Version: 1.6.6

✓ A Decent Companion Except One Major FlawI use this app for my OM4 all the time and it is a major improvement over the old DJI Go App. I like the ease of use and that video clips are saved to your phone’s camera roll unlike Go which stored footage in the app, where I would then download manually into my camera roll. One major I dislike is that whenever I record a time lapse and go back to regular video mode, the app reverts the video resolution back into 720p, i have to check everytime to ensure I am recording in 1080p. ✓ Dope conceptI love the Gimbal itself provides amazing content WHEN using the native iPhone camera. Using the dji mimo app to record provides shaky clips at first I thought it was just me until I did some research and seen it was just the DJI app. Also the motionlapse I set it up for a 5 min time lapse with given points and it gives me a 0.1 sec motion lapse then I thought maybe 5 min isn’t long enough so I bumped the time up to 10 min and still same thing 0.1 sec time lapse.. So I tried a time lapse in the native iPhone app and only left it for like 3 min or so definitely not as long as I left it while I was shooting on the DJI app and the 3 min gave me a beautiful 20 sec clip. The Gimbal itself is amazing doe. Just some of the features in the app need to be fixed..Version: 1.5.11

✓ IPhone adaptor - take your protective cover OFFIf you have a protective cover on your iPhone, odds are it will not allow the adaptor to insert reliably and consequently cause all sorts of intermittent problems. Although it feels like the connector has docked, I kept getting ‘Connection Lost’ - all because I was being a complete dick! If you have one fitted, take your iPhone protective cover off first! Be sure to allow any firmware update to happen too, the latest one adds loads of additional functionality. This little Ozmo device is amazing!!.Version: 1.0.0
