Home by ShowingTime for Negative User Reviews

Useless to the Home OwnerComments aren’t required for cancellation or rescheduling. People shouldn’t be permitted to cancel within three hours of the scheduled showing unless there are extenuating circumstances, and Home Owners should be able to leave feedback on the people viewing. I’ve had people refuse to adhere to CDC guidelines and insist on wearing dirty shoes and no mask or gloves in my home, cancel 15 minutes before a showing, and block only fifteen minutes and stay for over two hours! Perhaps if modeled like Uber or VRBO where there is mutual feedback by both sides, folks would be more respectful of the hoops we have to go through when getting a home ready to sell. Example: I wouldn’t reschedule for someone if they cancelled on me twice already, etc..Version: 1.6.1

Horrible appIt gives an agent minimal accountability in noting feedback from the showing. This to me is lazy. Instead of pre choice selections how about changing showing feedback to one where an agent has to actually work and type in the “ real time” feedback from their viewers??? Home owners do like to read the feedback so they can improve if possible. Having an “ excellent “ viewing rating than a 2 star listing feedback (5 being best 1 being worst) is quite a contradiction and only confuses the sellers. Make the agent actually type backup for their ratings would make this app more professional..Version: 2.0.11

More customizability for the sellerThe app is helpful for scheduling showings of my home. However, especially post Covid, with more and more people working from home, there needs to be a way for the seller to block out times when the home is not available for showings. I work from home and I take appointments with my clients in my home. Having to contact my agent every time I have an appointment with a client to let her know to block that time for showings is super annoying. There needs to be a way for me to block out periods of time in a calendar in the app when the home is not available for showings. I have seen multiple requests for this feature in the reviews of this app, yet nothing has been done to make this happen. Hopefully my home sells quickly so that I don’t have to continue to deal with this needless frustration..Version: 2.0.10

Still needs the help of a trained UX designerWhy does this app forget your login every time you try to use it? Still shows the notifications update on the app icon even if you have marked all updates as “read”. These type of issues have to get fixed if you’re serious about your app. Functionally, this app can deliver the information that a homeowner needs to know, however you have to fight it all the way. It constantly times out, forcing you to login most times you use it. The responsiveness of the UI is poor, it’s laggy and uses non standard gestures. It has font sizing that is harder to read than it should be, all things that are entirely avoidable..Version: 2.0.3

Convenient but needs more featuresAs a homeowner this app makes in convenient to accept or reject requests for showings. However I wish there was a spot in the app where all confirmed showings were listed. The way it is now the list shows all requests, confirmations, rescheduled and cancelled showings so it can be a bit confusing if you have a lot of activity. I also wish there was a way to easily add showings to my calendar from the app..Version: 2.0.10

FreezesThis app keeps freezing when use with iPad Pro.Version: 2.0.10

Your app doesn’t workEvery time I tap link I was sent to confirm my home showing, I just get the “wait” wheel churning infinitely. I was sent link likely by my realtor. I tapped on iPhone and was given choice to open either on Safari or the app. I downloaded app, and made user account since I never used before, linked my email, and then infinite “wait” wheel. Whe I don’t tap on the link, and open the app separately, it shows no showing time confirmation at all. When I remove the app, and tap the link and show on Safari, works immediately. Fix your app..Version: 2.0.10

Useless appApparently my real estate has been sending me updates on our showings. I have received nothing. I find nothing in this app to be beneficial. I would not recommend this app at all..Version: 1.6.1

Not enough functionality for homeowners1) The homeowner should have the option to block off time when they are unavailable on their own. It’s annoying having to decline why you know in advanced you’re available. 2) The homeowner should not have to justify why they decline or cancel a visit. We’re adults and quite frankly it’s no one’s business. 3) The homeowner should be able to give feedback for the visit as well. For instance, if someone leaves cigarette buds in front of your house, you should be able to inform the visiting realtor you do not appreciate it. 4) The homeowner should be able to see the name of realtors who book and leave feedbacks. There is no need for secrecy; after all, they are walking around in your house. 5) The homeowner should be able to adjust the maximum length of time for visits for instance, max of 30, 45 or 60 mins. This is especially useful during covid-19 restrictions in the middle of winter when there is nowhere to go but sit in your car with two dogs and a cat..Version: 2.0.7

Schedule out of controlI’m giving this 2 stars because I’m sure there are other elements at play (showing agents not marking when they are done showing the home, scheduling wrong days, etc), but the app is very difficult to navigate. Updates take a long time to sync - most infuriating is that last minute showings added by my agent will not register the same way others do: if I approve a showing time, it syncs to phone phone calendar, and notifies me by all methods selected. Showings not approved by me sneak in unannounced. I am trying to navigate selling a home with 2 toddlers and two dogs, so delays in notifications and multiple, similar looking pages (notifications and activities) with different data is unhelpful. It’s hard to click between menus and not intuitive. I can’t trust my iPhone calendar and have to constantly check the ‘activities’ tabs for latest data, if I can even trust that. At this point, despite this app working 75% of the time, that last 25% is a real killer and can make or break a showing if we’re caught off guard..Version: 1.5

Almost uselessI can’t believe how many good reviews this has as it’s actually so pointless I’m compelled to write a review. I am living and working in the house that’s being shown and can’t block off times that the house is unavailable via the app myself, instead I must call the realtor. There is no option to decline a showing via replying to text, it makes you use the app and of course the app kicks you out and forces you to re-log in frequently. There’s also a notification that will NOT go away despite my having clicked every tab and every message, and of course, logging out and back in. Oh well, at least there’s a graph with data that is not enhanced at all by being expressed graphically. Overlay showing count with area averages or interest rates or something. Geez..Version: 2.0.10

No calendar view?I find it very hard to believe there’s no calendar view of showing appointments… you really expect me to look at a list of “activities”?? Come on, you already have the info to do this! You do realize some homes are owner occupied so this would be extremely helpful to keep track of when to be out of the house… instead I have to make my own calendar entries for each visit. So basically all this is good for is to accept showing requests..Version: 2.0.10

It’s okayIt’s nice to be able to see feedback when left by those who have viewed our house. We get notifications via phone all and text about requests, but then the history doesn’t show up until a few days later as notifications from the app. And there’s no way for us to block out times we do or do not want to show the house. And I’m not sure if people are getting our texts back when we respond with alternate times because we receive no responses about it..Version: 2.0.10

Buggy, Very FrustratingVery buggy app. This thing will log you out constantly. Multiple times per day. Just about every time I need to check something on the app (new feedback, new showing scheduled, etc) I have to log back in. Probably even more frustrating is that nothing is chronological within the app. Received a new notification for a scheduled showing? It’s listed at the top of your schedule, even if it’s not next chronologically. I’ve raced to get things together, just to find out that a scheduled showing is not even on the same day. Received new feedback? If it was from a showing a week ago, it’ll be buried in a long list of feedback, not at the top where you would expect. App needs a lot of work. I see that the devs tend to respond to negative reviews, but my complaints echo others. So it seems like they haven’t worked it out. I’m sure it’s better than what’s been used in the past, it’s just not as good as it could be. I hope our home sells soon so that I can delete this app and stop having to log in..Version: 2.0.3

AnnoyingThey call at exactly 8am & if we do not answer they’ll keep blowing our phones until we answer. It can be over ten calls in a matter of minutes. They’ll also text us repeatedly over 6 showings in one day after I even told them my daughter was sick with the flu & we didn’t want anyone coming in & out of the house until 5 days later. We still kept getting calls even after calling them & telling them to put us on the - “Do not call list”. To show the house 3 times after I told them no & then again the following days. Our agent even told us to just ignore them. My husband works the night shift oil/gas & they’ll still blow his phone up after he tells them he’s asleep. I had to block their number because I would be working and it would also constantly go off. I almost got fired from the phone going off multiple times a day. Now they just text & text. There’s times they schedule at a certain time & they don’t show up until an hour later..Version: 1.4

TerribleAll you can do is just ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when you receive a showing request. You can’t write down any note nor ‘communicate’ like counter request for another showing time appointment. When I have to decline a showing request due to time conflict, I couldn’t write down anything and my realtor also didn’t do anything but wait. It looked declined by a seller without any reason. And later, we found that the buyer’s realtor was very angry. And it’s very unreliable. Yesterday, we haven’t received any text. Maybe realtors like this app because it can save their time, but as a seller, I don’t like this app..Version: 1.6.2

We should see who the booking agent is.It works well but it’s very far from perfect. We found it frustrating that people book 30 min and end up staying an hour so your agent has to fix it. It should be up to the homeowner to be able to block times or make sure times reflect what is going on. So if you see everyone books half hour but need 1 you can make sure that’s only what’s available. It’s an issue if you’re home and need to leave. Your agent has to be on top of the times. *** Also it would be very helpful to see who the agent who comes is, like before you had their card now you don’t even know who is coming! That is the most important missing part. **.Version: 2.0.10

Good idea, terrible executionIt makes selling your house easier, yes. Notifications come through and sometimes you can approve showing items yourself. The app falls short in so many areas though. Just a few simple changes and it could be amazing. For one: when last minute showings come through (and I mean requests to see the house in literally 1 minute, we got a request to show the house at 8:20 and it was 8:19) the seller can’t approve them. On 2 occasions I had to call my realtor at odd hours to approve them. Two: the app doesn’t allow any type of showing window restrictions. There are times during the day where we CANNOT show the house. We hate denying showtimes but how difficult would it be to simply set a time window in the app?? No I do not want to show my house when I’m laying in bed about to fall asleep. Three: certain things are just not coming through to the seller. I never get feedback from the showings that my realtor gets. Also it took like 24 hours for my house to even show up on the app. Four: the app is not user friendly. It is not easy to navigate. Just bad. Hire a gen z intern to fix it..Version: 2.0.10

SillyApp is okay, but The feedback questions are utterly silly. No agent will say “home is a great price” or “below market value”. They want the best deal for their clients and won’t show their hand so to speak. Comments left by some agents can also come across as borderline flippant or insulting. Most homeowners are proud of their homes and perhaps should not be privy to these comments. Perhaps the agent could go old school and verbally give people feedback with a better bedside manner. Also, Home owners should be allowed to see who the agent is, why the secrecy? Homeowners should also be able to adjust settings ie showing times, pictures etc..Version: 2.0.3

Really needs improvementI can see how this app would be easy for people who are not residing in the house for sale. For anyone who lives at the house for sale, there are massive pitfalls. There is no way to message the potential agent to ask anything. But most annoying is there is no way to schedule out the home owner’s availability. A simple calendar showing the confirmed showings on the home owners end and a calendar of when the house is available that the home owner could fill out weekly would be massively better. While our realtor can say that the house is available specific days, other agents still contact outside those times via the app then are irritated that they’ve been “declined”. Create an availability calendar. This app is supposed to help eliminate issues with having the listing agent as the go between, but in truth, it creates problems for those living in their homes..Version: 1.3

Just needs to be more user friendlyFunctionality is fine, but holy crap am I tired of logging into this app. Just a few updates would make this five stars: 1) enable realty password integration so I can just use the password saved for the website in my keychain. Almost every other app I use does this, it can’t be that hard to enable 2) make it so I don’t have to re log in every time I open the app. This isn’t like a banking app or something, just save an account token in the app and log me back in 3) move the bottom three controls up on iOS devices without Touch ID. They overlap the swipe bar and it’s super annoying. The only functional improvement I have is allow me to block times from being booked as showings without having to contact my real estate agent. Do those 4 things and you have a five star app..Version: 2.0.3

Broken Notification BadgeThe notification badge consistently gets stuck. The support solution is to just wait for the next one to come in and clear it. The next one clears the last one but then gets stuck itself so there is always a badge. It’s impossible to tell if there is a new notification or a stuck one and so renders the badge useless. This has been an issue for months and needs to be fixed. The “solution” is not a solution..Version: 2.0.10

Doesn’t deserve 4+ stars imoIt’s not an awful app but it’s not great. My biggest gripe is that it doesn’t have a good way to display showings for sellers. A simple calendar with your showings on it would be a game change for this app. It looks like this might exist for buyers in the app but I’m not certain. The idea that is the case just makes the absence of a calendar for sellers the more frustrating. When you get a lot of showings in a day it’s very hard to visualize what that looks like. There is a tie in to external calendaring but I’m not sure to what calendar. The links to add to calendar in the confirmation emails have never worked for my using Outlook online on my pc or the Outlook iOS app. And outlook is one of the most ubiquitous email apps around. So I have to manually interface this app with my calendar. Another gripe is that the propose new time feature doesn’t really do that. It’s a decline with a note. I have stopped using it because even proposing 15 minutes earlier or later often leads to the buying agent skipping it altogether and not re-booking. All in all, I find it barley more useful as a seller than text or email... all it really does is act as a basic proxy between me and buying agents wanting to look at my home with me having only ‘Yes’, ‘No’ or ‘No, but’ as reply options..Version: 1.6.0

Would be great if agents knew how to use itWe are selling our home and our agent arranged for all showing appointments to go through this app. I actually love the app. When it works, it makes keeping up with showings so much easier. Instead of multiple calls, texts, and emails, it is all in one place. The key is when it works. Apparently, agents do not know how to use it and have trouble with it. In a span of just three days, two agents have scheduled a different time and day than they told their buyers/thought they had appointments. We have had two families and two agents show up at our home for showings when we are home and not expecting any showings. For example, we accepted an appointment for Friday at 7pm. That was all confirmed through the app. We had no appointments on Wednesday. But, as our family was home eating dinner, the agent and their buyers let themselves into our home. The agent insisted he had a confirmed appointment - he used the app wrong and had entered Friday instead of Wednesday. If agents do not know how to use it, the value is lost and can cause a lot of problems. As much as I like the app over multiple phone calls, emails, and texts, in the case of our two incidents, the old fashioned way wouldn’t have caused any misunderstandings..Version: 2.0.10

Why can’t the seller enter availability? This app fails at its most basic function. As the seller, we had no way of entering our availability. Given that we’re currently working from home, fitting in showings between meetings takes constant planning. Using this app only added extra work because every time a showing was requested we still had to actively engage the broker. Hilariously, you can call them to enter available times in the calendar. Really? Call? Basically the only thing this app needs to do is let the seller have control over scheduling blocks and it doesn’t do that, which means it just adds friction to the process..Version: 2.0.7

PointlessThis took over two hours to update and show notifications I could interact with. Meanwhile, I had texts coming in asking me to confirm or decline to the tune of over 40 showing requests. Then, the part that says “tours” shows nothing. I synced my calendar so that’s helpful, but it would be nice if “tours” had a timeline of showings. It’s just blank. What’s the point of this app again? My realtor can schedule showings during agreed-upon hours with me. Idc what times as long as I know when to be gone. Also, I requested technical support and got no response. It’s eight hours later and still no response..Version: 2.0.10

ReviewIf we could get feedback from realtors then I would rate a five star. Feedback gives us a chance to improve our showings and help us make it better for the clients..Version: 2.0.10

Needs improvementGreat app theoretically but in practice there are quite a few improvements that would be beneficial from the seller’s point of view. My house is listed on this app so this review is from a selling perspective. Multiple people have requested a showing and have not shown up, or have shown up hours later. I’m not aware as to whether or not it’s possible from the realtor side, but there needs to be an option to either cancel the request or to send a message to the seller that they will be late or need to reschedule. It’s inconvenient for people who are still living at the house they are trying to sell..Version: 1.2

NOT seller friendlyThis happened to be the app that my realtor selected to manage showings. Unfortunately there are so many unprofessional realtors that are NO SHOWS, LATE, VERY EARLY and sometimes show up on the wrong day and time. There is no functionality to see who are the realtor who is requesting for showings. There is NO functionality to block realtors from requesting a showing after No Shows. The developers could care less after feedback given to them. The Response was “take it up to your listing realtor”. The “propose for a new time” functions un-intuitively. It just cancels the request. It’s a dumb function. There is NO way for the seller to block the days and times when the unit is unavailable for showings. Realtors will request at late hours of the night for an early next day showing. The seller has no control of what parameters, but it’s a free for all the realtors. Again, this app was built for realtors NOT sellers. Without sellers, there will be no realtors and there will be NO showing time app..Version: 1.5

App good; Realtors need to support itAs a seller, this app idea is very good. Problem though is realtors need to support it better. Out of 11 showings, only one realtor responded with a showing finished update. And the realtor reviews after the showing are sparse and generally delayed a few days. In fact, I believe my listing agent is providing the reviews after doing a phone call followup with the showing agent. Realtors should realize this is s good tool for the sellers and learn to make an app like this a part of their selling processes. All would benefit..Version: 1.1

Just okApp works ok, sometimes it’s buggy and will close or auto cancel a showing. The main reason for the 2 stars is that there is no way to hold the showing realtors accountable. Many times realtors will come 45 mins to an hour late without notifying us. Some realtors just don’t have respect and common sense that an occupied home has people stepping out during a showing. Wish there was a way to either show the Realtors contact info or to rate them. A rating system would definitely ensure that these realtors take showings more seriously and respect other people’s time..Version: 2.0.10
