✓ Not Recommended! They know you are recording!I would not recommend this app if you do not necessarily want the other party one is calling to know you are recording. There are legitimate reasons you may not want this. For example if you are in an abusive relationship and you were recording your calls for protection this can cause issues for you. When you merge the call the app says “beeep…call ready..” something to that effect. I am a palled at the price of this application and considering this major flaws which undermines the applications purpose!.Version: 6.3.2
✓ Fails to work as promisedThis app looked to be an excellent choice to handle voice recording for my iPhone 6S. But it simply didnt work, as recordings did not take and are all blank. After many attempts I contacted tech support and after an initial response it was radio silence for the next two weeks. Very disappointing for an app that costs $26 per month. And yes I contacted the support centre, several times and after an initial response they abandoned me. And yes I was able to merge calls and my phone showed it was recording. ✓ A bit jankyThe app is the best possible implementation given iOS’s limitations, but the user experience and security and privacy implications should be made clearer. The service works by having you dial their service from within the app, then dialling the number you want to call and record them by merging the calls via call waiting. This allows them to record the audio on both sides via a third participant. This is a bit of a privacy risk since calls can’t be recorded locally on your device. Numbers pressed on the keypad during the call don’t seem to be passed through to the dialled number, so recording customer service interactions or your voicemail service isn’t possible without strategic timing. The person using the app seems to record much louder and clearer than the person being called, who sounds quite distant and muted. The audio file sounds reminiscent of an old tape recorder, with a distinct lo-fidelity warble. I think this app is better suited for reference recording, like going back to review an interview, and not for production use in something like a podcast. It sounds much different a normal phone call between two iPhones with AirPods. The developer of the app blamed my cell phone service. Then it calls some other random number and it asks you to add the call where you’re initially calling and the you must “merge” the calls.
