✓ Love this game but don’t force me to use my gemsI really love this game I’ve been playing everyday for almost a year now and the main reason I love it is because I can choose when to watch ads which I’m willing to do to enhance my game. But don’t force me to spend 8 gems to max multiple my away earnings... That’s so annoying because collecting gems in the game isn’t an easy process (unless you buy them with real money) this is especially true when you want to get more crew members they require so many gems to get a new member when you have a good amount of members established. My current cost for a new member is in the 2000s ranges for gems and watching an ad for the spinner yields 2 or 3 gems and the random chest yields 1-12 but you need to watch an ad for it and they don’t show up in the water consistently... You can see how difficult that is to collect gems and you need gems to upgrade anything! Items and crew members ... seriously please revert this change....Version: 1.6.2

✓ Bug in this gameHello my name is Michael and I’m been playing this game for a month and the newest update/version has left the game unplayable for me because when I load the game up it freezes for like 5 seconds and then unfreezes and I can play it after the freeze for about 10 seconds then it freezes again and doesn’t unfreeze after that I’ve uninstalled the game and installed it again to see if it was just a glitch but it still happens so I hope in the next update that you guys working at lion studios can fix this soon thx.Version: 2.20.0

✓ Ads make it unenjoyableI really like the game, the concept is great and the gameplay is fun. However… the ads make it almost unbearable to play. I get that free games like this rely on ad income, but this game interrupts gameplay to force you to watch ads, and you have to watch ads to claim rewards from random boxes you catch (not to increase the reward, just to claim it) without even telling you that you’re gonna have to watch an ad. The ads are completely un-skippable, and I have yet to come across an ad that runs less than 30 seconds, some are 1-2 minutes long. I’ve resorted to closing the app and re-opening it to skip ads, it’s faster than waiting for the ad to run. If you choose to watch an ad to increase rewards then I get being forced to watch the whole thing, but the forced ads that interrupt gameplay should be skippable after 5 seconds, like literally any other free game out there. And no, I’m not gonna pay to remove ads, I play free games because they’re free, and I don’t mind the price of having to watch skippable ads..Version: 2.23.2

✓ Glitching issuesBeen playing this game for quite a while now and was enjoying it until the last week or so. When loading up I’m now losing out on the away earnings, and for 4 days now I’m having to save my day streak with the ad (at more than 500 days I’m not prepared to break that streak). Feels like Groundhog Day each day because I am back where I started from the previous day, earnings, spends, all of it like I’ve not been playing. Update did nothing. ✓ Needs work, could be a really good game.So I do like the game but there are some big things I feel need fixing. Number one being the fact if you want fishing experience (at least any to really matter.) it resets all of your boat upgrades, upgraded fishing stuff, and how far along you are on the map, which is really dumb. I clicked the button by mistake and honestly I’m thinking over uninstalling the game over it (or at least timing a very long break from it.), it took a lot of time to get as fair as I was and I’m really not sure I want to waste more time on it, very frustrating. A game should be fun, not annoy you with something like this. 2) I really feel if I’m looking at my crew, items, map, etc. the game should pause not keep going so you’re missing a bunch of items and fish. I had a few other reasons but I honestly can’t recall them all. It could be a really good game if it was worked on more and these things were fixed. ✓ I was enjoying and playing dailyI found this game incredible after seeing in posted in an advert. Ended up playing it from November/ December up until recently. It seems that after updates I can’t equip as many items any more as now there is a paying element involved into equipping items. At one point I was generating so much income however it seems to have dipped greatly although I have cycled to and from the same point multiple times. Tbh I’ve grown tired of this app and only log in so that my streak doesn’t break then I close the app until the next day. This game was promising as it successfully passes time in the past effectively now its a money grabber which I deem uninteresting and will continue to play competitors..Version: 2.8.1

✓ Could be way betterOverall the game is a okay with a few tweaks it could be great. For one the crew challenge is ridiculous as they are way to expensive and you don’t get to choose the person. Unless you are able to afford them when you level up it’s almost impossible to get them without spending more money then is reasonable for a game like this. It would also be nice if there was one more slot to equip your boat with equipment. Four slots is not enough if you want to catch birds or do the traps. As of right now I am on the second to last level and it seems like it ends there. Maybe once you get there more opens up. I will say it’s quite a lot of money between the last 2 levels and the other ones. Not sure if they realize people play these games as a way to pass the time and starting over more than 15 times to beat one level and still have to wait to accumulate more is rather annoying. ✓ The event is a buggy messSo far the game has been ok, but in the recent Independence Day event, it’s buggy in terms of the counter for the number of fish obtained. Every time I restart the game the counter resets back down to 11K fish and the next milestone is over 100K away. How can you be expected to complete the event without being forced to fork out cash due to bugs reseting everything? On top of that, there’s no feedback option in the settings, so I’m forced to do it here. Do better next time..Version: 1.4.6
✓ This could have been a great gameI find this game really relaxing. I like playing it. Just swipe your screen, you catch some fish it’s got a snappy little tune, birds even chirp. It’s like being outdoors. what’s not to like? The ads! I could put up with the ads at first - sometimes I find games that I really want to play so I don’t mind ads. I want to see them! But then the game asked me a question “do you want to spend 1.99 to get rid of forced ads?” and I said no! I don’t mind the ads. I find games that I maybe want to play! But now! It’s overkill! do you want to collect something? You have to watch an ad BEFORE you can collect an item, then As soon as you have collected it, you have to watch another ad. I have twice the many ads as I did before. It’s disheartening, because now I don’t want to collect the items the coins, the gems, because I have to watch two ads instead of one. Even when I don’t collect, it forces me to watch an ad every once in a while. It’s not gonna be long before I’m gonna have to give this game up entirely. You’re lucky I gave you three stars. ✓ An excessive amount of adverts.Literally an advert for everything you do. You give the option, claim your reward that you earned or watch a video for 2X the amount. Yet you click claim and still get adverts. In around 3 mins of playing I had 3, 30 second videos. So for half the time you play, you’re watching adverts. You also then have the cheek to say “tired of adverts, buy something and we’ll remove them” Maybe try fix your game so they majority of it isn’t adverts. ✓ I want to give my review finally after playing for over a year or it may be a few nowSo I rally do like the game but it has a few problems. For one my items I use to help fishing with and build up my points via lures and such. Well it seems I’ve used the same ones so long that I can’t use anything else. When I apply another lure recently, leave game then come back, that lure is gone. So when I put back any of my original line up, it stays in tact. Two: my auto fishers stopped staying where I put them long ago and always reset to the middle when I leave. I don’t like that. And thirdly it seems that as your progressing along and moving up faster and faster it suddenly hits a plateau. It takes a lifetime to upgrade anything and funding seems to slow down like your barely getting anywhere. Like life I guess it’s meant to keep you in one place and it gets stagnant. I’m close to being bored with it now. Thug life got my attention now.Version: 2.12.1
✓ ADS GALOREI had this game a few years ago and loved it the art style the music all of it. I lost touch with the game a while back and recently saw it in the App Store and went for it again. Immediately I was hit with ads. Anything I wanted to do that wasn’t upgrading the boat or catching fish I had to watch an ad to do. Open a chest to get gems have to watch an ad like before. Didn’t have an issue with that. Watched the ad hit the claim button. And.. another ad. It’s never ending. And the only way to collect these are by watching ads same with the boxes. Unless you buy the no ads version which is great. If you want to spend the money. Unfortunately I found it weird that once it was purchased the chest and boxes became fewer and fewer. So then the only way to really get gems is to.. you guessed watch ads, Or pay for them. I would’ve loved to given more stars on this game but the ads and inconsistency with them really threw it for me. Besides ads it’s overall a great mobile game for passing time..Version: 2.23.8

There are 3 rare fish you can’t find, and progression is slow. Need to leave the game open. I got a fisherman pack and was not given the pack. ✓ Used to be great, now buggy and way too many adsI used to really enjoy this game, but after coming back to it I’ve found that the game is very laggy, often crashes and has an excessive amount of ads. There used to be only ads for rewards (which were pretty much necessary to play the game, but I was okay with that in order to support the game) but now they pop up randomly, and I’ll be made to sit through a 30-40 second ad (not including the time it takes the ad to load) once every 3-5 minutes. ✓ Bad but got scammed for my money and time…I absolutely love grinding this game, but I decided to buy an 11$ pack to get my game moving faster and everything was great I got the mechanic from my pack, Blackbeard, 1000 gyms, 6000xp points, and a free spin an amazing deal. After all of that I stupidly deleted the game on complete accident now I have no idea how I did this it was on complete accident, and after redownloading it I come to realize that I took multiple hours of progression and my pack that I bought within the same day. I send a report to Apple and sent a report to the developer myself and It seems that I haven’t gotten a response back yet… I just want my progress and my items I bought with actual money and I’ll keep playing this amazing game but I’m getting worried that I’ll never get that back. If you own a game you should be immediate to respond to your players that especially pay money and spend the time watching your ads all day that’s earning them money for ad revenue and they should take immediate actions. :(.Version: 2.28.3
✓ Don’t get hookedThis app was great for the first month. There are lots of opportunities for strategy for experience and earning cash to upgrade. I don’t mind spending a few bucks on in app purchases either but when the game starts to actively work against you, that is where I felt I had to write this review. Suddenly it starts to “glitch” on your biggest bonus multiplier opportunities. Everything from gem discounts disappearing, multiplier videos not loading at all on large earning opportunities, to ads locking you out of the game forcing you to reset and lose your progress, consistently happened over the last month. The customer support was responsive and did fix the first obvious glitch I took a screenshot of. More problems and then they would just reply and not actually fix anything. The game is definitely designed to either frustrate you to the point of deleting or make you spend enormous amounts of cash once you get into the higher levels. Don’t waste your time..Version: 2.27.0

✓ Sneaky developers, find a new gameFlaws- 33% of ads watched get a spin at the wheel; 66.7% of ads watched are a benefit to the developer but not user. I’ve spent hundreds on gems and system eats it and makes you pay again. 1 star that it would be fun if there wasn’t a ridiculous amount of money needed to advance. I’ve done the reset to the beginning umteen amount of times and still don’t collect at a reasonable rate unless I use gems. When I pay 5 gems for 60 seconds, there are no fish!! What gives? I left it open overnight to collect idle and it was more money than turning the screen off, but why am I using funds for that boat advancement if it’s useless? Time to give my money to other places. Tried to give it another chance…hoping something will get fixed and they don’t listen. Had 16x money rate for 60 sec plus the 10x I had for 2 hrs (cut off at 15min) and it wasn’t adding up. I’m now annoyed that I even paid a cent to this game to remove ads. The list of problems I am encountering now are endless: - constantly glitches - randomly crashes - freezes on reopen - bonus ads often freeze, causing me to hard close the app and not receiving any bonus - some ads have no mute option (this should legit be a criminal offence lol) - my items often reset on reopen - if I close the app for even a second it has to restart completely, subjecting me to all of the same issues over and over again Further to this, can the devs actually do math? Or are the perks just for aesthetics? 1000% increase in fish value is a 10x my dudes. Yet every time I waste money on that stupid perk their value seems to increase maybe ~50%. ✓ Poor Job at fixing bug and answering questions.I cannot believe this is my first bad review. I am almost 45, and I have never written a bad review on an app before. This time, I had to. I have been playing this game for 742 days. In the beginning, it was amazing. There was a bug that occurred that made me lose an offer; however, the company was great at rectifying the situation. Over the past year, there has been a bug when it comes to experience. I have written the company several times. Unfortunately, they have not responded and they have not fixed the bug. Here is the bug. My “experience” is the same each and every day, and if I do not go back to the beginning of the game, every day, I lose my experience for that day. This means it is impossible for me to go to the last stage without losing experience, as it takes over a day to get there. Also, the experience is the same every time I do go back to square one rather than increasing as it should. Again, bad reviews are not my thing, but over the years, when you have spent a few hundred dollars on a game, you would think the developers would care. I’m not sure if the company changed hands or what happened. You would think that they would at least have the courtesy of returning one of my emails to say that they are looking into it. ✓ Good game, but 1 ad ruins the fun!I would give this a five star ratings if it wasn’t for two things. One, I lost all money accumulated when I tiered up to level 4 boat upgrades when in-game “Rod” suggested we return to shallow water to our total “experience points” accumulated. Soon as I did, my accumulated money pot zeroed out! What happened?!? No warning if any kind that that would happened. I’ve long recovered from that initial losses, but that was disappointing to say the least! Secondly, and still a current problem is this one very annoying ad calls “billionaires casino...” something, refusing to close when its runtimes zeroed out and you clicked on its x’s and so you have no choice but to close and reopens the game, thereby losing the free “wheel spins” rewards. And also you lose whatever bonuses you would’ve had! That’s unacceptable. Hence it loses 2 star ratings. If such is fixed I’d changed my rating it to a 5 stars! ✓ Fun but plz fix bugThis game is fun and I really am hooked ;) I like this game and it is really fun and doesn’t need your full attention, but my goals aren’t working. My goal is to reach 200 fishing Exp, and I am at 528 Exp, but it still says I’m only 50% there. So now there is no way for me to get a new goal so I am unable to get the benefits from goals, which is annoying. Not being able to get the rewards from goals makes it harder for me to purchase the expensive crew. Also sometimes when you watch an ad to get a prize or something, when I watch the ad I don’t always get the prize. This is annoying cause I just then wasted 30 seconds of my life. Also as a warning, if you collect your fishing Exp you restart. More item slots would be better too. I really like this game and I would give it a higher rating but there are some changes that need to be made cause I am upset about the goal thing, please fix this!!! ✓ Addictive Game!The prices for the upgrades within this game need to be drastically reduced and partway through the game, I began to see some glitches and unexplained changes e.g. After spinning ‘The Lucky Wheel’ I will not receive the ‘x2,x3’ or ‘x4’. Also the jackpot gems will remain even after receiving the jackpot, and the crew member ‘Mahku’ after activated will project an orange line vertically through the screen. The boosts are also now not accessible for me now as if pressed 5 gems will be deducted, however no boost will be given..Version: 1.1.0
✓ Too many adsMany apps have a ad cool down, where once I’ve watched an ad willingly to get a reward, the normal actions that trigger ads won’t trigger. Idle world, for example, has this feature. This game… does not. If I watch an ad to double my reward on a crate, when the ad ends and I can hit claim, another ad plays. These ads are the type where “30 seconds maximum” is very loose, where after the 30 seconds, another 15 second clip plays, then you have to find the tiny x button while the information for the ad keeps popping up. And then there’s another one. These triggered ads don’t have a small timer before you can x out alike most unwanted ads; you have to watch the entire 45+ seconds to claim your reward. The crates come pretty frequently, too, so this happens many, many times. Oh, and if you exit out of the app and come back in to trick the system into thinking you’ve already watched the ad, at any point? You get no reward and all the crates you’ve stacked up have $0 in them now. And airplane mode doesn’t work. It’s so simple to just disable the ad that pops up when I hut claim immediately after I’ve already watched an entire ad. The game layout is great. The simple art is lovely. The mechanics are simple and easy to understand. Even the pacing of the game makes sense. Truly, a 5 star game. But the ads annoy me so, so much that I’m on the verge of deleting the game altogether..Version: 2.21.2

✓ New update is bad! Change it back!!I was loving this game until the last update! Changing the idle money boost from watching an ad to to using gems is a con. After you’ve played for long time you need the idle money to progress, and now they are making you use gems to get that money. Gems are hard to come by and you need to watch lots of ads to get them. You need all the gems you can get for crew and upgrades, I feel they are just forcing people to spend money to progress!! SHAME ON YOU!! ✓ Update ruined itI have just passed a year of continuous playing, it is a slow progress game towards the end, having to save up gems for new crew and save for weeks for a boat upgrade, not an issue however...... On the last update they removed the option to watch an advert to tripple away bonus and started charging gems instead, so you can now either save gems or save money, this makes an already slow game basicly move backwards! ✓ Declined qualityI redownloaded this game as I used to really enjoy it, however they have ruined it with the sheer number of ads that plague you while playing. There are so many random, involuntary, unskippable ads now that it there is no enjoyment to be found. Plus after however many ads the offer to pay for no more ads shows up. ✓ Please don’t play this gameThis game is incredibly addicting. It uses large numbers in the form of monetary rewards to create a false sense of novelty for its players. As a result, one will find themselves spending exorbitant amounts of time mindlessly swiping at the screen while concurrently amassing a wealth greater than the world’s total net worth and beyond. While enticing, goals become increasing unreachable and only attainable through a monetary investment in “gems”. In fact, it is nearly impossible to reach the final level, and for a purpose — to convince players of its constant sense of progression. Once your earnings seem to plateau you are sent back to the beginning, only this time, each successive level becomes easier to pass than before — deceptively regenerating the players’ faith in the game, only to hold them stagnantly at the final levels. The creators surely understand psychological/neurological principals of consumption. As such, they feed the consumers’ desires to progress mindlessly. ✓ Was Fun For A WhileI just downloaded this game today, and it was pretty fun. For about two seconds. I guess at the beginning you’re supposed to start off small but I would say at least put in bigger fish that you can see, even if you can’t catch them. It would make the game a lot more fun trying to get bigger fish and maybe even failing, more than sitting there swiping the screen to get tiny fish. And maybe include danger like shark attacks, or maybe you can go to a marketplace or something, or rent an apartment to keep trophies for completing challenges or something. I didn’t get very far before deleting the game, so maybe some of this stuff is already in the game, but it seems useless to play the game. What goal are you trying to reach by playing? Maybe there should be a big fish competition like who brings in the most or biggest fish at the end of the day? This game fell a little short of my expectations. All of these ads come with a bonus pop-up reminding you that you could skip them (but not the “optional” ones, of which there are many) if you just pay cash. So it’s pretty odd that you STILL haven’t listened to the fans of your game who are leaving reviews. It seems like the majority of the reviews are addressing this same issue. Of course I’m talking about the ads. I’m fine with ads for rewards and I watch them often for this game. But you NEED a cooldown before a forced ad can be shown, after I’ve chosen to watch one. The fact that there’s no ad cooldown, a very common mechanic in games that have ads, is downright preposterous. If I voluntarily watch a “30 second” ad, reset a 5 minute timer before you can force me to watch an ad for no reward. As people are saying, this garbage has made the game unplayable. Which is such a shame because the art is gorgeous and the mechanics are simple and fun. The only negative thing about this game is the forced ads with no ad cooldown. ✓ Really love this game (but)I really enjoy playing this game. My husband plays it too and we like how you don’t have to pay to win. With some determination all the gems you need can be gotten by watching ads. And if you don’t want to watch ads? You never will, because ads only play when you want them to play. The idle fishing feature works great and the game is just plain fun! BUT The past few days the game has been glitching and crashing pretty regularly. I also have recently come across a problem where I spend gems on an upgrade and when I come back to the game later, my gems are still gone but the game shows no upgrade. Idle fishing has gotten really slow as well. ✓ Ruined the gameI used to hop on this game fairly often when watching something or whenever i had a little freetime to waste and it was easy entertainment for free. Recently I hopped on the game and it is now completely flooded with ads. Before ads were optional, for example you could watch an ad to open a treasure chest or watch an ad to spin the wheel and get a point multiplier. Games that do this are the best kinds of games because you actually find it worth it to watch ads for rewards since you’re not constantly getting swamped in ads. Now they have changed the game and you basically get an ad everytime you do anything(claim a reward, open a crate, buy something, just randomly in the middle of playing). Ontop of that there is no ad cooldown so you can watch an ad to spin the wheel and then immediately get another ad 3 seconds later. Sadly in the creators atempt to earn more money by flooding the game with ads they probably are earning less by pushing people away considering i went from jumping on and watching 20-50 ads voluntarily(since it was actually to earn something) and now i barely play and when i do i usually stop after about the 5th ad. Hopefully the change this it just makes it feel like one of those terrible games that needs all the help it can get to succeed even though its a good game and even has in game currency purchases..Version: 2.21.2
✓ Great game but manipulativeI love the main part of this game and do find it very relaxing, however there are two currency’s in this game, coins and diamonds. Coins are used for the main part however diamonds are used to buy new shipmates. For some of the level ‘challenges’ you are required to have so many shipmates. The only way you can get diamonds is through watching videos. ✓ Was good, but...I have hit 2 massive walls in the game that prevent any progression whatsoever. After the 12th zone, everything gets idiotically expensive and after 2 weeks, I’m 1% of the way there, primarily because offline income is only based on upgrades and not crew and items as well. Also the 31st quest is to get 10 crew, however even getting 5 without paying the devs is a challenge. Since the gems you pay for the crew doubles every time you buy one, and it’s a premium currency only available from quests (and the lucky wheel) that quest is basically impossible Edit- pay wall moved back an area, now watching ads for bonuses doesn’t give you the reward. Add a way to get gems from normal gameplay (ad free) and also fix the arena (I’ve played this game for almost a year and people get a ridiculous amount more money in the 6-minute tournaments than I get in normal gameplay - their money is trillions upon trillions more - I get 10 billion in a tournament, 100 nonillion in normal gameplay, and they get 13 septendecillion - which has somewhere around 23 more zeroes after it than 100 nonillion) and this gets 5 stars. I select I want normal because anyway is too small of a reward to be worth the time wasted for ads, and surprise - the option with no ads forced ads on you anyway. Many ads also get stuck and you cannot exit the, which makes me restart game and I need to watch all over again to claim the reward… The game is so cute, and that many ads forced down your throat, plus so many pop-ups asking you to spend money, made me delete the game e en if I actually have the money to spend on it. ✓ Fun but gets boring quickIt’s pretty fun but fairly early on it just gets plain boring. You’ll sit there for like 20 minutes just catching the same fish over and over, occasionally getting a chance at the big fish that swims under but you’re too weak to even attempt it at that point. The goals for deeper water are also stupid expensive and feel like it’s not even worth trying to attempt because of how plainly boring those early levels are. I’ve had this game for a few days and I’ve gotten really pretty far in the game but swiping and swiping and swiping gets boring after a while. Not to mention to gain fishing experience you have to go back to the very beginning of the map and restart all over again. It would probably be more fun if you were getting new fish and new upgrades and new items each time you went to a new location, and you didn’t have to go back to old locations. ✓ A few bugsThe game is fine, lags excessively when the screen is blackened with fish due to Greenville Lucker. Megg doesn't seem to be programmed correctly. Premium slot time seems to still be capped at 2 hours despite having +24hrs from Megg. Giantism is pretty useless compared to most income boosts, might want to tweak the numbers a little. Away income is essentially nil compared to playing, so I don't actually achieve anything from being away, even with another order of magnitude (10x) added. Again, a number that might want to be tweaked. An excess number of fishers I can't hide takes up over 1/4 of my screen. Please allow fishers to be hidden other than the ones with actives. Lastly, there's no way to see your stats, which is a huge bummer. Being able to see the total bonuses for fish value, fish crit chance and damage, epic crit chance and damage, etc would be tremendously useful. It's a really fun game. Quite unfortunate that such a good concept for a game has been ruined by the common scumminess of modern developers. ✓ An honest reviewThis has probably been said a hundred times before I’m saying it, but it still needs to be said. I have a decent amount of hours in the game and as fun as the early levels feel, the game progresses naturally quite slowly when you get higher up. This is not my complaint. My complaint is the fact that you can’t hide or remove the crew member squares on the side, so assuming you’ve played the game a decent amount and spent money or not, by the time you progress enough through the game, you’ll get a decent number of crew members. So that’s a huge limiting factor for people who play on phones as it takes up almost half your screen, and on top of that, once you upgrade your boat high enough, the visible and playable screen becomes even smaller as the boat takes up majority of the screen. Unless you’re fully paying attention to the game every time you play it, you’ll miss fish and whatever else. Also some of the later fishing areas are just so dark that unless you play on max brightness, the fish and the water look almost identical. I’ve stopped playing now because I don’t have fun with it anymore and it feels like it takes too much of my focus to progress, and that’s not what games should be. ✓ Good if you like advertsIm was addicted to this game, but seem to be at a standstill, seem to just spend my time watching ads just to get more gems or more money than actually playing the game. I think the actual cost to buy anything with gems is way too expensive. Its going to take me hours to gain enough to upgrade any boat items. Also the fact that you collect an item box, then it costs u gems to open if you dont want to wait and then you have to pay gems to actually level up the items to use seems a bit of a rip off . Theres no way im every going to gain over 1000 gems to uprade one item. The cost of crew is also way too expensive and once again to get anywhere you need to upgrade ur crew members and once again this costs gems. Its complcated game with many diferent areas to Upgrade or collect and different levels to go up. You fish, go forward through areas, and then reset your fishing progress to gain more experience, and so on. I get it, it’s cool. What I don’t like is the fact that you have this in-game currency of gems which, with the new update, need to be used for you to collect what you missed whilst you’ve been away from the game... These gems are also needed to get team members, which enhance how much you gain through the game. Great - until those team members disappear along with the gems you’ve gained to pay for them... A lot of progress, gems and team have just disappeared from my game, making me feel like I’m wasting time on a game which I semi-enjoyed..Version: 1.6.4
✓ Game developer won’t listenThis game was great for a week but you suddenly hit a brick wall where you cannot progress. Something wrong in the games programming to up prices as you go along but the curve is too steep so you just suddenly get an upgrade that takes weeks to earn and you have hundreds to do. Many people have tried to reach out to the developer but it seems there not interested. Most likely an old stock game which they just keep up as it gets abit of add revenue. ✓ The downfallI got this game before all the “ads” happened. I remember playing this game for hours because of the music and art style. This game was great at entertaining its audience. There weren’t any forced ads either. The only times I had to watch an ad was went I wanted a reward from it. The wheel for example made you watch an ad to receive a boost plus you could get bonus gems. This made players like myself want to watch the ads to get more from the game. This was a time of happiness. I never stopped playing the game but I did leave it alone for a week or two. When I got back however, things had changed. The minute I opened the app I was hit with an ad. This sort of surprised me since I never had an ad I didn’t click on open. Then it became way too frequent. Every time I opened a package, the side bar where you can buy things, and even the quests and news icons, I was hit with an ad. The worst part about this was I could never catch a break. Even when I watched an ad to get a reward, another ad would play right after. This really took the fun out of the game. The music and art style is still fantastic. I will always love how to play the game. But the ads have become too much and I’ve thought about deleting the game several times because of this. This game was fun and I was determined to get to the last ocean. However I’m seriously considering deleting this game now. Every other minute is an ad. Get a box of cash? Ad. ✓ Okay GameI have been playing for a little over a week now and have noticed that most of the progress costs gems that you can buy with real money. I am only playing this game to pass time when I’m bored and don’t want to spend $100 to progress and buy more crew members. There is a way of getting gems for free and that is playing all the time to get 1-15 gems out of a chest you can pick up or spinning the wheel and trying to get the jackpot. I have tried over the past 3 days to get the jackpot that only keeps rising in amount of gems it’s worth, but never landing on it. I’ve noticed that the spinner has no randomness to it and is fixed to land in almost the exact same spot every time. This spot changes from day to day, but I can spin it 100 times in a day and it will land in the same 2 spots on opposite sides of the spinner, never hitting the jackpot. So basically I’ve wasted my time watching thousands of ads for pretty much no reward for what seems like it could take a week to get a jackpot, it’s absolutely ridiculous..Version: 1.2.6
✓ It keeps freezingAs the title says, I’d love to give a review on this game and share my thoughts about it, whether I had fun or not, and little things to improve or something. I’d love to do all that, but I can’t. I download the game, start it up and after it’s finished loading and I see the boat, after I see the sea gulls swoop in, my game freezes. Granted this may be an issue only I am having, but it’s still an issue that will need fixing. I tried closing the app and reopening it just for it freeze after the birds showed up. I even tried deleting the app and re-downloading it, only to start up the game and have it freeze when the birds once again showed up. This is the making the game unplayable for me which is a shame, I was looking forward to playing as I had some free time to kill. If anyone else is having the same problem then it becomes a bigger issue. ✓ Pay wallSo this game starts out very fun and exciting and progress is at a good pace. Not to fast to have finished the game in a day or so but not to slow to feel like you are grinding every time you open the app......until you reach the mission to hire ten crew members. The only way to get that many gems is to buy them. Making finishing the game next to impossible unless you pay a large sum of real money to get crew members. While I understand that money helps developers pay bills and live and keep making games but at one point crew member number six takes 445 gems meaning crew member 7 will take near 600 something gems so on and so on. To the point that you will need to pay over 100 real dollars or what ever currency you use. Which in my mind for a phone app game is just plain robbery. ✓ Great game but issues a plenty...I have tried playing this game twice now and experienced the same each time. It’s a game which rewards longevity, but feels very slow otherwise. There’s a large wait curve on increments (fishing locations in this case). It’s well presented all be it not great on a small phone, easy to use etc. It’s not very much pay to win but you’ll be watching a load of adverts to earn gems otherwise. Problem with gems is nothing is user check confirmed and, only vague as to what you’re getting. Easy to spend a load of gems on something useless without realising. In either event, there is only a small community. You’ll find yourself trying to find out how things work, how to catch x fish etc from a few Reddit posts. The developer barely posts on Facebook etc. Tip from me is save up your gems. Get a crew of Winston, Mechanic and Lee. This’ll help you enormously in the long run. Worst part about this game is that it will chew your battery in double quick time. This is especially relevant if you have the equipment to spawn more fish on swipe, the screen can flood with fish. ✓ Loved it for years but…Update 8/21: 2 weeks since review, developer response gives useless, cut and paste directions to a problem directly reported in review and has not been resolved. 2 stars I have played this game for several years now, loved it. The last system error has me disappointed. Ads are not working across the board (5+ days,) I am missing out on the triple it feature, spin the wheel, Mystery Mondays that require a spin (you know the one, the big kahoona that helps you out with gems) and today I have lost my 503 day streak. Nowhere I have found in the app have I been able to report a bug. At this level in the game swiping only does so much and cannot advance without ads or premium purchases. The music and the noises when you catch the fish are great and the art style is incredible, however… I maybe stopped playing for about one to two weeks tops and all the sudden AD AD AD AD AD!
