Absolute worstI’m gonna say it one last time. I tried to create a business account and wouldn’t let me. Was asking to link an old profile. An old attempt to create account last year but it was never opened. An agent said that she deleted that profile and now I can proceed. I tried but now was asking me for my personals account passcode. Which I typed and it keep saying it’s wrong. Although I can login with the same passcode from the app. Clicking on forgot my passcode and putting personal and business address then shows an error saying forbidden action. Support doesn’t help 4 hours now no resolution. Imagine what will happen if you can’t access your business account and need to make payments. Amazing.Version: 2.12

Reported to Financial Ombudsman - Terrible, Horrible and Worst excuse for a business accountDON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND SANITY WITH REVOLUT. THEY ARE USELESS!!! Having successfully used Revolut personal account along with Monzo for travelling, when I needed to open a business account to receive payment from foreign clients I thought Revolut would be a great choice. For the type of service I needed I had to opt for a paid account, £25 pcm. I was informed whilst setting up the account that I could change account type easily at any time. The app is so useless there was no access to a chat in the help section just FAQ. No email for contacting them. I couldn’t get payment from my clients for 2+ months. In the end I opened a business account with Tide, which I have been using since without any issue. Then the next and ongoing issue was closing the account and getting back my fees. Have now taking the case to the financial ombudsman and will start legal proceedings if that doesn’t resolve this nightmare. - No telephone number just an automated number that directs you to an email. - Difficulty finding correct email to contact them. - Chat service was not on the app and difficult to find in web version. - Generic email response to your complaint. No urgency from customer service. - A clear intention from customer support to delay closing account for as long as possible to keep collecting fees. - Falsely advertising services that they cannot provide current.Version: 1.28

Don’t waste your time.Good luck validating your freelance business. They require proof of business, which I provided, and document after document was rejected without explanation. Website, proof of government registration, portfolio, client contracts…nothing sufficed. I contacted customer support to get more information. I then received a notification that they wouldn’t open a business account for me and the decision was final - still without providing any details as to why. Total waste of time..Version: 3.82

Do not get!Literally the worst banking experience I’ve ver had as the company clearly doesn’t allow customers to interact with a real human either via Zoom or via phone and forces all interactions to a super painful experience through a chat. This has been the experience consistently with Revolut for years without any change. Complete waste of time in current formWhat a complete waste of my time. Having used the personal revolut app which is good, I thought I would go through the arduous setup of the business app for my business. After testing the first top up which worked in the same way as the personal app, I thought I had a good solution. Now I discover that future top-ups require a manual bank transfer initiated from my main business account - what was supposed to be convenient is now a 2-step process. I made the transfer and started making a payment only to discover the next issue. I cannot add a beneficiary or counterparty. Apparently the functionality is “coming soon”. So now I’m stuck with funds in the revolut account which were meant to be paid to a third party. What a mess! Why launch an app that is incomplete? One star from me..Version: 1.13

They are really lacking in customer serviceSigned up now over a week ago for Revolut business and had to reach out to THEM yesterday as my account is still not active. They said it is technical difficulties and I should have my account activated in three hours yesterday. Still not active today. Instead of apologizing and offering anything to smooth over the situation they simply took no accountability and blame it on technology. Pathetic excuse for the lack of customer service. Merchant AccountBy all means, avoid opening a Merchant Account with Revolut Business. We used our account for our first transaction with our first customer, and we haven’t been able to withdraw funds after two months from our first request. Revolut’s answer has been that Merchant Accounts can only be used with e-commerce websites, which we have yet to develop, but this was never pointed to us when they allowed us to receive payment. The answer we get from chat agents from the Business Support team is the Merchant account group has a significant backlog of issues. Think twice before relying on this service..Version: 3.64

Good in concept, not in practiceI joined Revolut as I wanted a seamless digital experience. I travel often and had heard great things about the bank’s services and ease of transaction locally and while travelling. Unfortunately I have had 2 problematic instances where technical issues from Revolut’s end have resulted in failed merchant payments (Direct Debits and single payments). My merchants have identified Revolut as notoriously bad and unreliable for Direct Debits. This has resulted in negative credit record for the company and arrears with my merchants. I have contacted Revolut numerous times with the issue, leaving the chats going for hours without any resolution. The agents expect to be fully briefed every time I speak about the same issue (as the days end waiting for responses) and we never get to the solution. Cancelling this account and changing babks now. Most horrible experience with a bank I’ve had in my lifeMy account has been blocked for no reason and now will be deactivated, I am asked to withdraw my funds but the transfer functionality is still disabled. I’ve try to reach out the in app customer service but had the most useless conversation with a customer service, and now I cannot even contact the customer service anymore. At the attention of the developers, please I just would like to withdraw my funds.. Compromising my safety and privacyEvery single time I log in, they force me to share sensitive data with Google, for no good reason! Then, they send me an email saying there was a log in attempt from an unusual device, when it’s actually the same device I’ve used every single time. They say, that in order to avoid those ridiculous emails, I need to have less security and less privacy in my browsing. They even told me to disable the ad blockers which is extremely dodgy! Also, after they sent me my card and I put money in, they told me that I would lose access to my money, unless I set my home address as the business address. They wanted to dictate how I’m managing my business. Luckily, I got my money out quickly. I created an account with a different bank and now I have peace of mind..Version: 3.33

Dangerous Bank for Small BusinessIf you’re a small business, you should steer well clear of this bank. Accounts are randomly frozen for “compliance reviews” when you hit certain thresholds, but their teams are not adequately resourced. My account (and all funds) have been frozen for weeks despite all information being provided promptly. A brief Google shows this is extremely common, and it is utterly shocking during a pandemic when businesses are struggling that they would put the final nail in the coffin by freezing accounts. The support team are useless and claim they have no way to tell where things are or how long it will take. Not can you speak directly with this mysterious team. You risk your business and your livelihood if you choose Revolut. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I’m now in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Ombudsman and regulator..Version: 2.41

Don’t trust them anymore after customer service interactionI’ve been trying to open a business account for over two weeks now. I’ve been sent round and round on a whack-a-mole game that’s still not finished. I keep getting told that the team is going to review the remaining one item (“nature of business” - which was previously accepted but then moved back to needing verification). We’ve been stuck on this task for 4 days now. I’ve spoken to half a dozen customer service reps, escalates a few times, been told this is a high priority, got promised it would be done in 12h multiple times. It’s still not done. To be clear, the task consists of reviewing a short paragraph that they already reviewed and approved before. I also know that after he opened a business account and moved some money into it, one of my friends (who’s also a business owner) was told that the account might go under review and the funds might get frozen. Given this disastrous customer service and that they also seem to be willing to freeze operational accounts while they “investigate” things (an indeterminate process which could take any amount of time) I must strongly recommend anyone wanting a reliable banking partner from working with Revolut at this time..Version: 3.74

A new business will be denied and day response timesWith a normal bank when you’re a new business you can open up a bank account with proof of incorporation, EIN or social. With Revolut they literally want invoices and bills from previous months before you open up your first business Revolut account. You seeing the issue here? As a brand new business that is starting out how can you give them bills and previous invoices if you are just starting as a new business. Well you can’t because you are starting a business account with Revolut so you can invoice and pay bills. And there is the issue. I wish they had on their website that if you are a new business you won’t be able to use them. Even if you have all of the right documentation. It also takes them a day to get back and they have generic responses which makes it even more frustrating. Over all an extremely unprofessional company..Version: 2.30.1

Worst bank everI made a transfer to India almost 10 days ago (on 20th June 2022). The recipient’s bank account were correct and confirmed by him. The transfer never arrived and I’m still waiting for them to do something about it. I have filed a formal complaint and I am following their “procedure” but they simply don’t care. Also, I have learned that Revolut operates under an e-money licence in the UK, so you aren’t covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). I regret having opened an account with them and would not recommend them at all. One star is overrating them 😓 Update: I’m now trying to close my account and I’m having difficulties both on the app (I’m being ignored) and I cannot access the website either. I followed their instructions but they give you the wrong instructions so it’s a catch 22. I wonder how long they’ll make me wait to close the account and forget about this nightmare. Deactivated RevolutRevolut covers there erroneous actions in their terms and conditions and they restrict peoples’ money, deactivate accounts, go from 2 days to 5 days to 8 days reviews with their “experts” who read from a script and cannot do or answer any questions. Revolt is the scam they call a new bank. Ruining peoples livelihood with no just cause because it’s covered in their T&C’s! If you are going to restrict my money and or deactivate me you have a professional obligation to inform me why. Do your homework, review them well as they have done this to countless businesses and individuals. How long will you last with bouncing direct debits, phones bills, paying your employees, rent, mortgages, car bills, etc…and it will affect your credit rating! Do not open an account with them their customer service does not exist and when you really need to someone you are given a chat “bot” who repeats themselves with no assistance. ShockingSo far, shocking. They subscribe you to stuff like ’expense management’ - which it’s basically the ability to make notes on expenses with some minor frills - and charge you for it, without telling you! So money will start leaving the account about a month after you get their ’totally free’ service. AVOID Revolut businessIf you plan to use this as your MAIN business bank account. DO NOT USE REVOLUT. They will consistently block your account and ask for invoices, customer contracts, supplier contracts etc. That you provide repeatedly. They have now sent me emails saying to withdraw my funds because they will close my account…… keep in mind my account has been blocked for 3 weeks. I attempt to withdraw the funds, the account is still blocked. It takes support 3 days to then inform me that they will transfer the funds to an account on my behalf. I receive another email telling me not to forget to withdraw my funds…. I chase REVOLUT support. Who with their arrogant tone, can not give me a timeframe as to when I will receive my own money. And say they have escalated it. As of writing it’s been 25 days without a business account and so far have received one court order to pay a supplier but I am unable to due to account being blocked. Beware of this scamThis is a complete scam. I opened an account about a year ago and chose the “free” plan. I did not use the account and had not logged into the account for several months. I found out today (Sept 14) that in July my account was “upgraded” to a paid account and I was being charged $40 a month. I did not upgrade the account nor did I authorize Revolut to upgrade my account. I had not even logged into my account for several months. Buggy AFLogging into 2nd account means that the fingerprint login to the first disappears. Went down the email login method. Couldn’t remember password so I Clicked on reset password, clicked on link in email to go to reset password but took me to the reset password page again (caught in a vicious loop) When asked for the latest deposit/money in, I clicked on the dropdown of the currency and all currencies appeared behind this window meaning that I couldn’t select any currency When asked for a selfie with the date, I allowed camera however it was black and couldn’t see myself so had to guess at the selfie angle. Illegal unreliable Untrustworthy Bank DO NOT TRUST WITH a centThe Worst bank. Opened a personal account then liked the app and opened a business account and what a mistake. Shocking customer service / littered with bugsGreat in principle. Worked well for first few months until you hit your first snag. Customer support is only by chat. Chat takes hours to days and is canned responses that don’t ever seem to solve (or understand) the query. Continuous pending business information | useless VA’sI was impressed with the array of features this company had to offer. However the KYC checks are a little absurd. We cannot use our business banking as they continuously ask for updates of information - which I am constantly providing. They ask for government correspondence that isn’t from HMRC or Companies House, so I uploaded a letter with the correct business name and address that is associated with the account - that is from the U.K. IPO. However it seems that their Virtual assistants, think all government correspondence falls under companies house. I can’t deposit money into the account and use it for payments. It’s useless… checks take forever, there are no notifications to let you know if the checks are pending or have been completed. When they ask for Information, they also ask for your ‘business bank account’ statements - but we are a start-up, this was supposed to be the first bank we used. Absolute incompetenceIf I could leave a zero star review I would. This company was “unable to verify my identity” for my sole proprietorship even though I provided both my passport and my SSN. The on boarding process was confusing and while the customer service agent was polite, he was clueless as to how his own process worked and kept directing me to look for links/buttons that didn’t exist. I wasted two hours trying patiently to provide the requested information to no avail. If this company can’t get their own on boarding/ customer identification process to work I wouldn’t trust them with my money. I ultimately cancelled my application and took my business elsewhere. WASTE OF TIME, bad applicationLet me outline a couple reasons why Revolut is so bad: 1. The UX/UI is horrible, I’m having to click 7/8x before I can actually perform an action. It’s competitors i.e. monzo takes 2 clicks 2. If you have a business account and a personal account, guess what, something of unique info has to be different, so if you’re a sole trader, and you’re using the same home address, you’re now UNABLE TO USE the business account you’ve just created. “Something has to be different I.e. add a middle name or address” 🤦🏽‍♂️ a bit stupid because I don’t have a middle name + the address I provide HAS TO BE ONE where you reside/work from which is not always the case for sole traders. Which means the business account you’ve just created...you can’t add money...you can’t make transactions etc. 3. Customer support isn’t helpful, I was going around in circles trying to ask for help on how to perform an action (send international payments) / add money to account, and it takes them a LONG TIME TO RESPOND. 9 times out of 10 you’ll be told that they’re looking into it, and then they disappear for 15/20 min. I’d you don’t respond within 2/3 minutes of getting a response from them, the chat ends 🙃 Overall, it’s not a user friends app, it’s not clear at all, technical limitations from THEIR SIDE means other sole traders like myself can not make use of the business account due to previously having a current account with revolut. Amazing app if you never got scammedI have been using my Revolut account for a while and I have done numerous transactions without any issues. However, last week I got scammed and lost roughly 600£. I have reported the issue to the local authorities and messaged the support team in order to get some help. Have been a week and looks like no one is taking care of it… Every time I tried to talk with a member of the support team, no one knows what is going on… All they say is that they are investigating and to read my email ( I haven’t received any email for Revolut so far) Just stay safe out there and keep your money safe. Revolut is without a doubt a good banking for a small businesses but they don’t care if you lose your money or not. This was 600£ down the drain, i don’t wanna imagine what would have happened if it was 2/3k… They would probably ignore my messages. A small update: They came back to me saying, they determined that the charges couldn’t have be done without my unintentional negligence. So, in other words I got robbed and also accused of robbing myself… Just be careful with your money because Revolut won’t give you back and will accuse you of doing it in order to don’t refund the amount stolen. Unforgivable customer serviceI had revolut personal and business metal plan account since it’s first days. Even though there were teething problems at start I have signed up all of my family and friends to it. This month I have sent money to a member of my family. After keeping account blocked for over a month, no apology or explanation for the delay, even though we have submitted all the relevant documents requested for another flagged random check. Live chat that was suppose to be available to a metal plan holders 24/7 was answered after 2-3 days wait with another excuse. We have now read that there is a trouble with wire card and all banks attached to it . I just wish they could’ve been honest with us and notified us about problems and delays. One of my friends received a notification from his bank about possible disruption. It is very easy to get new customers but keeping them is another matter. Can’t login for 3 days while travelling!I went to Barcelona recently and have already returned to London, but when I try to log in, the app issues a an email link for verification which gives correct device, IP and date, but wrong location!! It says Spain, but I am in London!! And obviously the “confirm” button in email gives error message and doesn’t let me in!! Please fix it as soon as possible!! I wouldn’t mind giving Revolut app location tracking privileges but there is no such option in setting either!! So it probably just uses the location from the last log in which was in Spain! Absolute SHAMBLES!Spent a week setting up the account - sending so much information and working with the account t manager to set everything up. Achieved acceptance quickly - transferred money into the account and prepared to move my business over from another bank. My business has been trading for 7 years with no debt. Had a decent experience except for the fact that the customer services take ages to reply and takes days to get anything done. I thought ok let’s give it a try with my business accounts. What a mistake. At first it seemed ok but after a while they started asking for proof of this and that which I provided they then went to extremes asking for thing that did not have anything to do with the business again which I provided. Everything went on fine and then for no reason they held all the money in my account. When I tried to contact them to ask them why I received automated responses and no resolution. It took me forever and to try and get my funds released and they just did not care that they had damaged my business and I had lost over half of my revenue. They are a bunch of cowboys with a smart looking app. Do yourself a favor stay away..Version: 2.0

Business app not workingUnlike Revolut personal app, their business app is awful, all our employees have issues with their cards, identity checks has been done several times, it gets verified but then disappears and ask for identity over again, and it has frozen in that verification stage therefore the card info shows as blank, technically useless, the support team is not helping at all with no clear answer, no answer in fact, just repeating it takes times- verification has been taken weeks for all of our team members despite "10 minute" estimation on the app. This has caused so much frustration and complications as payments can't go through, and the sad part is that there is no help or explanation what so ever-.Version: 2.29

They wont cover if your money gets stolenI got more than 140 transactions within 7 hous at mid night total of $4500I contacted customer support in the morning l, they said the transactions were still pending that the system would cancel it, the transactions never got cancelled, now they said those transactions were not fraudulent, the transaction were made from a merchant called Cosmote, all google reviews says that company steal peoples money from their bank. Just make sure to keep the least amount of money in revolut because if your money gets stolen they will not cover for it, complete disappointing..Version: 3.60

Shocking customer Service.Was notified on their message system that they had decided to close our business account, no reason given, just thanks but clear your funds and go. So I obviously asked for the reason why, especially as we had just gone to great lengths in transferring and setting the account up along with five foreign currency accounts to handle our import payments across the world. Three weeks of complete nonsense from Revolut so far. Cut and paste replies, nothing personal or remotely human at all. Every reply has dodged the actual question : WHY ARE YOU CLOSING OUR ACCOUNT????? Worst corporate bank EVERRevolut for business is absolutely dangerous to use if you are a business. The can unilaterally freeze your account and hold your funds for as long as they like. You cannot speak to anyone but can have a series of inane bot text conversations which tell you absolutely nothing. They won’t provide a legal contact if you ask, so your lawyers cannot help you much. Your money is basically theirs…they simply refer you to their GT&Cs if you protest. PLEASE be very very careful if you use them!!! The are the absolute worst..Version: 3.45

Awful bank + awful app, I’ve deleted my accountRevolut bank is absolutely terrible, in the 2 months I’ve had it I’ve only had issues and never managed to use my card. There were issues when doing payments with Apple Pay, issues doing payments online (they need to be approved in the app but we got the request for approval like 1 out of 5 attempts and it still didn’t work) The app itself is absolutely not intuitive, it seems that it tries to sell you services and upgrades at every corner instead of focusing on giving you access to your bank account After dealing with their unresponsive customer service for a month I opened an account with another company, and have been trying to close my Revolut account for the past month, which should finally be done soon In the app itself it asked me to write a review, and the 2 times I tried to do it clicking on the “I do not like the app” option, there was a “mysterious” error, and it didn’t let me, which I think is why it has so many positive reviews as it doesn’t let you post negative ones from their app. This was such a nightmare experience that I felt it was important to come on the AppStore to share my honest review. I’ve had an online only bank for 2 years (another bank) and never had any issues, so I genuinely don’t understand how Revolut is so bad in comparison.Version: 2.57

Warning, they lock you out of your accountIt’s an absolutely disgusting service, they lock you out your account without notice. Claiming regulatory checks. We’ve got bills to pay. We have Rent due to pay, we have staff wages to pay, and they’ve locked me out my account for two days now. I’m getting nowhere with customer service, no manager to speak to. There’s nobody to contact on the phone. They do not appreciate the urgency of getting it resolved. Locking small businesses out of their funds is criminal. They have done this 3 times now and expect you to jump through hoops when you’ve got a business to run. Contacting the financial ombudsman for certain this time. 3 times in the last 2 months. Had the account since oct 2022 and now we are growing they are trying to hinder us every step. They do not care or appreciate running a small business..Version: 4.11

Avoid Revolut businessAvoid Revolut business as they reverted a payment over 250k usd after they kept it pending for one week for security check and after we provided documents required by the idiot team and after we submitted the shipping for the client and (invoice -tax and customer documents) they approved the transaction and reverted to client and I lost the money and the goods .and the only think I got it was (sorry ) bear in your mind that Revolut will restrict your account and hold your money for no reason too and no contact number to talk with .avoid them or you will be regretted and your business will fall down.Version: 3.41

Makes you sign up, send ID then tells you not availableIf this is not available in peoples countries, the app should say so art the point when the country is selected. Not make you go through all the extra ID checks and hoops and then after tell you “Sorry, not available” I consider it a security risk to provide ID when it’s not required so am not happy about this. I suggest they change the app to abort at the point of country selection..Version: 3.85.2
