SHRED: Gym Workout Planner for Negative User Reviews

ScamIt’s a scam you need to pay annually it’s not free.Version: 1.4.5

Not worth itMost of this app is just body weight exercises unless you go to bulk which is just the same couple of moves over and over. Really having buyers remorse. If your new to working out this may be ok for you but if your experienced you will find it too basic..Version: 2.6.1

SubscriptionHow do I cancel my subscription.Version: 1.4.5

Good app but needs moreI have been using this app know for 2 months and while it provides challenging workouts, I find that workouts have core exercises always in the workouts. Especially if I do full body one day and the next day I do a specific muscle group it has many of the same exercises—it would be great to have it recognize what I did yesterday and offer up something different. Also a BIG opportunity for the app is to add more granular muscle groups—for example, if I want to work legs, I would really like to be able to select Quads or hamstrings or glutes or a combination of those. Currently when I select legs it typically builds a program that targets all areas which leave me having to do adhoc or make changes to get what I need from the workout. I don’t always have a lot of time so I was counting on the app planning the workout for me so I can just perform the workout..not always the case when I want to target a specific muscle group..Version: 3.2.2

Not good for a beginnerI would start out saying that if you don’t know what you’re doing. Then stay away from this program. This doesn’t have any pre or post warm ups or cool downs. Some of the exercises can hurt you if you don’t know what you’re doing. I used this for about a week and pulled a groin muscle. I decided ( after) not to use it any long. Which was my fault because I know better then to do exercises like foward and backward lunges without warming up first. I do think it’s kind of pricey for what you get. But thankfully i only purchased a months worth. So it’s not a big loss. If you’re a seasoned person that knows what they’re doing and know how to warm you body up. Then this is a good program. It won’t bore you with the same exercises over and over again. When your done, you’ll feel the work that you’ve done. I probably should of gave it a 3 star instead of a 2. It does have good qualities to the program.Version: 2.0.1

Costs money????Took me a whole 10 minutes to sign up just to realise it cost 22.30 per month. Should of informed us that it had cost money to use the app..Version: 1.4.5

Update stops musicLatest updates stops music constantly when using app..Version: 1.7.2

So dumbAll I want is a workout app that is free all these apps you have to pay for it’s so stupid!.Version: 1.6.5

I’m a foolTorn everything in my legs doing a home work out! Jumped right into the exercises without an option or even a suggestion of warming up, and finished halfway through knowing something really bad has happened. I haven’t been able to get up or down the stairs and have virtually pulled the bathroom sink off the wall trying to ease myself down with as less pain as possible! Perhaps this has opened my eyes to an opportunity of creating an app more suitable for someone such as myself! (Someone who thinks they can do it, because they used to be able to) before more people like me are injured and put off exercising. It’s over priced in my opinion too! And I find the app clunky and difficult to follow.Version: 1.6.6

Great appI’d love to have an option to build my own routines, and maybe have a few more options on the free version. Also I’m not really willing to upgrade, I think it’s too expensive. Having a gym membership makes it hard to justify purchasing the app for more than I pay at the gym. It’s a great app and I’ll continue to use the free version daily..Version: 1.4.5

Not an assetDoesn’t let you work on what you need had to do around 5 fake workouts to get to what i need.Version: 1.5.0

Not realThis app asks you a couple questions and then: surprise: pay if you want to check the app. Looks like a scam..Version: 1.6.4

“Includes profanity”Excuse me?.Version: 1.6.4

So many bugsCommon guys, great app but this version is horrible, too many bugs and glitches.Version: 1.6.1

You have to payReviews said it was free to use but it isn’t. It’s a subscription based app.Version: 1.5.0

O m gWhen will there be a fitness app without a monthly subscription?? i swear, when they tell me i have a plan set up... boom. right in my face i see the subscription!😑.Version: 1.3

Apple Watch integration very buggy and doesn’t workI like the workout element, but the Apple Watch Ultra integration just doesn’t work. The watch app crashes/closes every 10 second during a workout. Half the time I don’t use it but then when you reopen it to try again it after a few sessions its runs through every set you’ve done since across all workouts. It’s also not clear if you’re meant to open an Apple fitness workout at the same time, either way the watch integration needs sorting out. I find I have to still use Apple fitness workout as otherwise my workouts are not recorded into the health app..Version: 3.3.1

Dangerous workoutsApple keeps deleting my review. Makes you wonder how much this developer is paying them to keep their rating artificially inflated. I’ll save all the problems with the Apple Watch and focus on the meat of the issue - these workouts are randomly generated. No accredited trainer would ever put these together or have their client do them. Exercises that are dangerous are being performed at high reps. Same body parts are being worked out 2-3 straight workouts with no rest. The majority of exercises do not have substitutes available. If they do, it’s usually not an acceptable substitute (for instance, subbing DB Squat Jumps offer only bodyweight squat jumps. The DB is not the problem for most people looking to sub). They also will populate your workout with exercises unrelated to the body part/group that you think you are working out. For instance, I did a bicep workout today. It was full of lunges, mountain climbers, and burpees. Do not give this company money to lazily randomly select exercises for you. You could spend 10 minutes putting them into a spreadsheet and getting a random output from that..Version: 2.2.2

No response from SupportI tried to register for the free trial and was charged the monthly rate. I contacted support for a refund twice. It’s now been over a week with no response from Shred. I would not feel comfortable purchasing an app with poor support..Version: 2.6.1

Why won’t it recognize my login!!I’ve been using Thai app for 3 months and it is the. Eat app out there but all of a sudden after 3 months it won’t recognize my login and password credentials. What the hell is going on!?!? I want someone to get back to my ASAP or I want my money back!.Version: 2.9.1

Underwhelming and gimmickyTried this app on recommendation from a friend, paid for two months and giving up on it: - Can't bounce between exercises, and it'll make you go back and forth between different machines on the same circuit which just doesn't work in a crowded gym. This made me memorize exercises and do them off-app - Bloated: was trying to do a stretch routine and even though I disabled social features, there were pop up notifications of random people cheering me on (?) like I just want to stretch stop killing my battery - If you lose connection, the 5 second videos completely stop loading. It would be nice to cache the active workout, or at least the active exercise (!) so it's not draining my battery every time I play it - and so I can use it even in a gym where the cell signal is spotty. It doesn't even have a thumbnail, it just goes completely blank and if you didn't catch what you're doing next you have to go out and get connection again - I was doing the recommended bodyweight groups and after three weeks found it had made me do arms like 3 times and legs only once, the order didn't seem to make sense / feel balanced (I noticed when it was recommending me arms for the 4th time) - It says it uses AI but it's not clear where... Despite telling it how easy vs hard different weights were, it doesn't make any recommendations with this info, it just saves your previous weights in a confusing interface.Version: 2.9.1

Not freeThis is only a 7 day free trial and then the payments start coming out. Don’t be fooled, this is not a free app as stated..Version: 1.9.2

Not happyNot too happy. Downloaded the app and didn’t really need it so I deleted straight away to find that a week later after deleting it I’ve just been charged for a whole years worth. I don’t have that type of money and I’m not happy I got charged for an app I don’t have !!! 😡.Version: 1.4.5

Looks goodWhat bugged me is that it makes you input your name and email before asking you to join the subscription. I deleted the app straight away, it looks good but what’s the point at least give a free trial of 1 week or something with limited workouts, also do not ask for details until a subscription is purchased, luckily I had a feeling these type of apps would do this and I used a fake email, jokes on you !..Version: 1.6.5

Big bugsApp overall is good but it keeps crashing and knocks me out of it having to resume the exercises and can’t use it simultaneously with Spotify playing music - very annoying having to chose between listening to music or using the app :(.Version: 2.9.12

CrashesLooks alright although every time I go to enter my weight it crashes.Version: 1.6.6

Horrible AppThe app that asks you for all your personal details 1st and then tries to charge you a gym subscription. Guys keep well away from this app I can’t stress enough as the developer should quote price and then give you the option at the beginning. Not happy and deleted..Version: 1.6.6

Don’t botherRecently changed to pay only platform. Free features have been significantly reduced. If you are not in a position to subscribe, probably worth moving on to an free alternative..Version: 3.2.2

It’s a scam! When they say “7 day free trial” don’t believe it. I was charged on Day 1 and haven’t received a refund. Not worth the money. I prefer live workouts online which are easier to follow than this..Version: 1.6.6

Don’t like the recent updateI liked it when I could see the three icons that showed if I was on track with shred etc and what percentage. Its gone now. Still no warm up exercises for before and after..Version: 1.0.7

AdsConstant ads throughout workout.Version: 1.5.0
