Flowbird parking for Negative User Reviews

Your app sucksYour app sucks.Version: 3.4

Terrible.Awful UX. If you’re going to force people to type in their city, don’t make us click into the box! Have the keyboard pop up automatically. Let us enter zone numbers before we select our city so it’s a drop down instead of doing extra work on the front end. Have a page that remembers recent zones you parked in. This is simple, day one stuff they teach you when designing for the web. Just pitiful app design. Also, bad software that glitches out. Says the parking zone I’m parked in doesn’t exist. It existed yesterday when I parked in the same spot, and every day before that. Sign is still up on the street, too. Just horrid. I don’t know how my city got swindled into switching their on-street parking over to Flowbird but whoever agreed to this has never used a smart phone in their life..Version: 3.1

Insanely complicated for a 1 time use appNobody *wants* to use this app. You use it because the place you park makes you use it, or stand in line for their equally over complicated pedestals. You use this app once and probably never again because every parking lot uses someone else’s app. Don’t make me enter car registration details and sign up for an account and all this other useless crap nobody actually wants to do. While we’re at it, why did the pedestal make me go through a bunch of menus when there was literally no other option at my parking lot other than “flat rate”? I should punch in my spot # and swipe a card and go. No multiple screens of details and button presses for what should be an easy process, PLEASE..Version: 2.12.1

Ottawa Hospital parkingI attempted to make a payment at the machine instead of using the app, as I found the app download process to be challenging. I observed that three seniors nearby were also struggling and seeking assistance to operate the parking machine. It's worth noting that the app is required for car registration. This situation highlights the importance of considering users with disabilities, neurodiverse individuals, and those without cellphone data who might face difficulties with this system. The app's interface is user-friendly and straightforward. However, there's room for improvement in certain areas that could benefit from further testing and refinement..Version: 3.0.1

Tech support for meter locations absent from mapMap and location show but not stations, tech support were of zero help, suggested I used another phone. Requested assistance earlier on the same issue, no response..Version: 2.21.1

Awful even by the terrible standards of parking appsAs someone who has suffered at the hands of multiple parking apps my heart always sinks when I am forced to download yet another one. All I wanted to do was exchange some of my hard earned cash for the privilege of parking. This app made the process extremely painful - laborious input of data, needless guides on how to use the app that slowed things down, not accepting Apple Pay and then after after asking for my credit card details twice, not even being able to take my money! I joined the queue to use the parking machine instead. Pitiful even by the the terrible standards of the apps in this sector..Version: 3.4

CrashThis app used to be ok, when I used it a few years ago, it worked. Now, it crashes before I get a chance to do anything. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. I had my friend try the app in her phone and she had a similar experience. So because the app kickes me out within moments of logging in, I cant even use it to pay for parking! I plan to take this issue up with the places that use this app where I live. It’s not ok to have an app like this that clearly doesn’t work for several people have the same complaints. I did email customer support. I also called and talked to customer support when I was trying to update a vehicle cc’d and they didn’t have any suggestions that stopped the problem for me..Version: 2.15

Doesn’t workLocal country park has just introduced this for their parking system. Downloaded the app. Set it up and entered payment information correctly and when I went to pay for the parking it simply said there was an issue with payment. It then doesn’t seem to give you an option to check your payment information or try a different card. Really surprised it didn’t link to Apple Pay or PayPal..Version: 2.11.2

Needs MAJOR improvementsTook me 30 minutes to pay because it kept saying payment error and when I called customer service the representative said there’s nothing they can do lol , try resetting the app or paying online, what’s the point of customer service then if they can’t help. Not to mention I still got a parking ticket because Flowbird and the nj transit are separate so when the ticket agent scans your car the Flowbird payment doesn’t show up paid. So now after I paid money to park I still have to pay a parking ticket . You’re costing people money with these issues you need to fix them on get rid of the app,.Version: 2.7.1

Don’t rely on this AppAbsolutely embarrassing. I parked my car at a train station lot and was spending the night/next day away. I went to pay for my new day of parking using this app and it said my visa debit card was not eligible for online purchases and I was declined. Then I tried my discover credit card and got the same message. Because of this, I had a nice fat ticket waiting for me when I got back to my car. Don’t even think about downloading this app. You’re better off just accepting you’re going to get a ticket rather than having hope that you’ll be able to pay for your space, only to have it ripped away from you, leaving you in a rage of frustration, writing a scathing one star review on the App Store..Version: 3.1

Not reliableCompletely usless at times.Version: 2.10.2

DO NOT USE THIS APPDo not use this app. It will confirm you’ve paid for parking but the transaction won’t actually go through. You’ll then end up with a fine from the carpark operator. Oh and don’t bother trying to contact Flowbird via the app or email address as they won’t answer. Their call centre is completely useless and costs a fortune. If I could give this app a zero I would..Version: 2.20.1

Disgusting app used to steal moneyCan’t believe we have to use this app to pay for parking in subsidized housing and the projects. Shame on you flow bird for endorsing this..Version: 2.12.2

Useless payment appIn Italy, tried to open account and store 2 cards, one Visa and one Amex. App refused to accept the Amex card (“experienced an error”). The Visa card was loaded as approved on my account but when I tried to pay to park it just gave error messages. Completely useless in isolation and especially compared to competitor apps. Unfortunately the car park in question only accepted Flowbird.Version: 2.14.1

Worst app on iTunesZero customer service.Version: 3.4

Does let you payUnlike the dozens of other parking apps you have to download, register, enter contact info for, add vehicles to, and payment methods for so you can add to your collection of apps you need to park in the city to avoid the inconvenience of simply just swiping your card at the ticket dispenser, this app has the helpful feature of following all those steps just to find it refuses to process the payment, forcing you to use the ticket dispenser anyway..Version: 3.1

Long stay car park 2 Holyhead portVery poor signage and no sign of promised shuttle bus . Went up and down Turkeyshore Road several time in the end just had to leave car or we would have missed ferry. Don’t even know if we parked in the right place! Had a very long walk back to check in. £16 for two days . Could of left it on the road for free. Very stressful start to long journey . Won’t be using Flowbird again ..Version: 2.7.5

Very limited usage and no Apple PayFunctionally fairly easy to use but no option to use Apple Pay. Therefore app seems more about mining your personal information than the actual purpose of parking..Version: 2.16.2

Can’t Choose the carCan’t choose the car you want to park if you drive multiple cars..Version: 2.14.1

Lag between payment made on app and payment recognized by parking authority agents’ devicesToday, for the sixth time, I payed for parking on Flobird in my hometown of Nyack,NY. Regardless of my good standing I was issued a ticket during paid time because there is a lag between the app and the devices carried by parking enforcement personnel. I was understanding early on when the town implemented this new system, but it has been 6 months now and it’s time consuming to have to go to the village hall over and over after having paid for parking properly. I think syncing all parts of the operation is fundamental to running a paid parking app. How can this continue to be a problem?.Version: 2.4.1

LoginI’ve had to remove the app and redownload it cause it wouldn’t load the app.Version: 3.2

HorribleHorrible app. I think I’ve gotta more parking tickets now than I ever have because we had to switch over to this app. Multiple transactions are incomplete, which in the month and a bit of using this app have left me with 40$ in tickets, I might as well be paying for a pass at this rate. Sad that the previous parking app our city used is no longer in business because I never had these issues. This app also shows random parking zones that don’t belong..Version: 2.14.1

No Individual ReceiptsI can’t separate personal from business receipts. The email option does not look like a professional receipt nor does contain the necessary information. The options for choosing receipts fail regularly. I hate this app! But it’s the only option in my town..Version: 2.14.1

BadForcing people to download an app for parking; and then the app which forces you, unnecessarily to create account. No thanks!.Version: 2.16.2

Credit card support needs to be fixedWhen setting up an account you cannot load a credit card. It says you can load a credit card on your 1st Parking transaction. When you make your 1st transaction it does not allow you to enter a credit card. It then indicates that it is authorizing your transaction with the Bank which of course fails because it has no data to work with. The rest of the UX/UI interface is great but until the financial interface is fixed the app is useless!.Version: 2.20

HorairePerte d’heure payé si veux prolonger une journée … avant la fin du compteur.Version: 2.22

Pain to useHad a constant battle to get it to accept my card and then found out that the app offers no function to extend the stay… forcing you to start a new session at a premium. This is utterly pointless when used in hospital car parks where you could be 20mins or 6 hours. Other parking apps allow you to extend etc..Version: 2.12.3

Parking meter keeps flashing “Expired”.I used Flowbird for the first time. After I entered the zone, time period for the parking session, plus payment authorization, the parking meter kept flashing “Expired”. This created uncertainty on my part whether I completed the process correctly. It would have been helpful if your FAQ section would provide guidance on what users should expect to see on the meter once parking session has started. Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback..Version: 2.20.1

Appalling systemArrived at carpark and tried to pay but we were outside payment period. Ok! Went to pay in the parking period and it would not accept payment. So downloaded app on another phone. Same thing happened. In the meantime 40 mins has passed. So we moved car a long way out from where we wanted to be. No doubt we will get fined for not paying!! Worst parking app ever!.Version: 2.12.4

Useless!!I parked at Sennen Cove using this app and it was the most stressful parking I’ve come across and ruined our day!!! At first I installed the app and paid for my parking quickly and was impressed with how well it worked. However, we was out longer than expected and so had to add time onto my parking. So firstly we could not get into the app….the Flowbird word was stuck on the screen. I switched my phone on and off, deleted the app and reloaded it, went from 4G signal to wifi, and tried getting into it via Google and my email link but still could not get into the app. However I was able to to use the internet, download my emails and use all my other apps on my phone. So it clearly wasn’t a signal issue but was an issue with your app. At this point I’m panicking that my parking ticket is running out and I’m going to get a fine. So, next we tried to set up a new account in my husbands name and it kept kicking us out so we had to start again and then get further verification. Eventually we managed to pay and get a parking ticket, but it took us 30mins of stress to do so. And with the added worry that whilst we was trying to get a ticket, there could be an inspector issuing a fine thinking we didn’t have a valid ticket! This totally ruined our afternoon out and we certainly won’t be staying in a Flowbird car park again. I carried on trying to get into the app all evening using my wifi and it still didn’t work..Version: 2.8.1

Glitchy and doesn’t allow you to give away unexpired time. The rate is 10 cents higher than the municipal rate. It does not allow you transfer or give away your time. The meter says expired so the next person using the app is paying for a free spot. Even if you tell the person you paid they can not use it because the app is linked to your register dmv plates. It doesn’t always show you the neared meter. It bundles them into sections so you have to pay attention to what your meter number is, if it even has one that is legible. Overall it is convenient. It takes money away from the municipalities. It’s a necessary evil..Version: 2.8.2

Appears not to connect - but charges! The app worked fine until last section of payment, where it appeared not to connect. After whirring a while, a message popped up on screen to check back later - as if you have time to ‘come back later’ when parking. I tried a couple of times. Same thing. I didn’t get confirmation of parking but in fact was charged. And because I didn’t get confirmation I paid at the machine by card..Version: 2.15

Won’t accept paymentForced me to download the app and then after filling everything out, it tells me it won’t accept payments from my area… I live in the same city….Version: 2.18

UselessFirst used this app about a year ago and it worked ok. Using it again, late Sept 2022. The app simply doesn’t work. Selected parking and duration. Enter card details, directed to my banks payment authorisation, authorise in that app and return to Flowbird. App frozen. Tried several times on mobile and wi-fi. Same result. Tried reloading app, rebooting phone, ipad, same result. Even tried deleting and creating a new account, same result. Conclusion. If you can’t use a parking app to pay for parking it can only be judged as, useless. Not worth 1 star..Version: 2.15

Too Difficult & Confusing1st, why charge additional convenience fees…that’s absurd. 2nd, your app would not accept my phone number, I had such a hard time trying to use this app. It’s too difficult to pick a particular “circled pin” when the map showed several at my location. I didn’t know which one to pick, you should just be able to use the station’s I’d number or something. After I tried all that, I had know idea how to enter my card number…mind you, we’re at the beach standing outside trying to figure this all out. Pay-by-Phone App is much easier. You should take notes & DROP THE CONVENIENCE FEE! Especially since the pay stations don’t warn you of the additional fees , they just say “download Flowbird app”, like wth..Version: 2.7.5

A WASTE OF TIME & ENERGY!Without fail this app has been useless each time I’ve tried using it. It was introduced to our local Waitrose store and as apps are usually easier than having to have change around so I uploaded it. At the point of payment there is often an error message and you just have to keep going back and trying again until Payment goes through. This can prove rather stressful when you are aware that you be liable to receive a fine if not done in time. Plus it means you have to factor in extra time to allow for any problems with parking. I’ve ended up having to ensure that I take change with me so I can try to use the parking machines (which coincidentally appear these days yo be ‘out of order’ ) with me now as otherwise I’m left unable to pay at all. Extremely cheeky to charge 20p extra for a text to confirm payment too. In all feels like we are being ripped off!! Terrible App!.Version: 2.21.1

Charged me for free parkingWent at Zone 103 Railyard East parking lot, which is free for the first two hours (the app even says so - it does not let you select a time less than 2 hours because it’s supposedly free anyways). I was charged for the full two hours at full price. Called the app support, was told to call the parking enforcement of the city and ask for a refund. I said that both the lot signage and the app itself indicated that the lot was free, and the app should either indicate that there’s a charge or fix the technical issue that charged me for free parking. I’ve called the city and need to wait for my statement to come in at the end of the month in order for them to begin to process my refund. I could not find how to make a bug report so I am writing this review as this cost me money and time trying to figure out how to remedy the issue..Version: 2.16.1

Worse parking app everUsed this app to park at hospital whilst taking my sick mother to appointments. The first time it crashed I reloaded it and managed to park. The second time it crashed 3 times and charged my bank 3 times, however it didn’t show in my app the parking session had registered. Tried the customer service phone number which is a deadline. Tried emailing several times no response. In the end I had to get my bank to investigate to get my money back. Would not recommend. Use the pay machines and avoid!!.Version: 2.15

Useless app, horrible customer serviceI downloaded this app to pay for long term parking at a regional airport. The app never worked for me, it just kept sending me to the screen to enter my address. I spent hours of my vacation trying to get the app to work, verifying my address was the same as my banking information, and on the phone with customer service—which were of no help at all. (Their advice was to “park at a meter”…This was a very small airport. There were no meters or any other parking options) Why isn’t customer service set up to accept payments if the app isn’t working? Returning from my vacation tomorrow and expecting a ticket on my car thanks to this horrible app..Version: 2.12.3

Not working, not using payment infoJust does not work. Does not use saved payment information, and keep asking to enter credit card at each utilization. And then « Verified by Visa » does not work, even after entering the code. Other parking apps (e.g., PayByPhone) work just fine..Version: 3.0.1

Used to be greatIt used to be great, clunky but very effective. As of the last 6 months it seems more like a side project that someone has forgotten about. Every other to every two weeks it won’t load past the splash screen, even after confirming app is up to date, restarting and un/re-installing. Further more, the website’s login page has an expired certificate which is concerning in and of itself. Please get it together or just remove the app. It’s quite frustrating to realize how negligent and unreliable this company has become..Version: 2.10.2

No ApplePay, too cumbersomeThis app wants far too much information. I had never heard of this particular parking app. We parked in a spot where it is used. I started setting up the app to pay for an hour of parking, but when it asked me for my credit card info, rather than offering ApplePay, I decided not to spend another 10 minutes typing on my phone and put quarters in the meter instead. Municipalities looking for parking solutions should evaluate their choices carefully, and keeping in mind those parking may be tourists, not locals. Simpler to use apps are a must, as is quick setup for those visiting a place..Version: 2.12.3

They charge a service feeIt’s 35% more expensive than paying at the machine. Ridiculous.Version: 2.16.2

Not one of the best Parking apps.Sadly there are several different parking apps which we have to use as we move around towns. The best ones are rapid and efficient. Flowbird is neither. The biggest hassle is that it insists on connecting with your bank to take payment. Most other apps use Apple Pay which is very rapid. Way to go Flowbird developers!.Version: 3.1

This app is terrible. Many issues with this app. Chief among which is that it just comes up with an error when you want to pay. The interface has clearly been design by a sadist who wants to make parking as complicated as possible. Nothing intuitive at all about the way this works. Ringo isn’t great but is infinitely better than this app. Doesn’t take Apple Pay for some reason. Just terrible. I still can’t understand who looked at the design of this app and said, “perfect, that is exactly what we were going for”..Version: 2.16.2

Constantly refreshing and moving mapI have to park my car several blocks away from my work. When I get to my office I open up the app and try to pay for a session. However, when I attempt to zoom out on the map, the app refreshes the screen for new parking kiosks. All expected behavior. And then GPS drift happens and the app thinks I’ve moved so it snaps back to my “location” which is three blocks north of where I actually and is three blocks north and two blocks west of where my vehicle is actually parked. Then I have to zoom back out and try to select a kiosk close to my vehicle before the GPS drifts again and the app snaps to my “location” ... again. Please allow us to DISABLE the “map centering/snapping”..Version: 2.6

Scam.Card was hacked the only time the app was used. I don’t think this is at all safe. Such a disappointment.Version: 2.12.1

Just one problemGood app but keeps signing me out for no reason it seems. Please fix!.Version: 2.16.1

TerribleDownloaded to avoid queue at machine and went through the sign up process. Then tried to pay for parking & got an error. Restarted app, (facial recognition login not active despite requesting it) paid for parking to receive different error saying payment had failed. Tried to be pay again….to receive the first error message again. Came out of app & back in (still no facial recognition), tried to pay to be told I had already paid. So unsure if my situation I went the parking history to see there was no history of any past or active parking (but it says I’ve paid???) Only option to risk driving to exit and hope I don’t cause mayhem. Barrier opened so I had indeed paid….will just check bank account now to check how many times! The company had also saturated the picturesque area of woodland by the car park with dozens of garish purple signs advertising their horribly faulty app. I’ll queue for the machine next time! Oh and don’t get me started about charging 20p to *receive* an automated text confirming payment!!.Version: 2.8.2

Waste of time. This app never works!Waste of time. This app never works! Tried different days. Nope. Always encountering an error..Version: 2.16

I’d Rather Get A Parking TicketI’ve tried to use this overly complicated app multiple times in multiple states. Every time I give up because they ask for too much information or they can’t locate the specific meter I am trying to use. I tried again yesterday and after several unsuccessful attempts for the app to determine which meter I was trying to use, I determined it was a better use of my time to risk a parking ticket than to be late for my meeting. Other apps are so much easier and less interested in knowing every detail about you and your car..Version: 2.21.1

Very poor - doesn’t work!I arrived at a new parking location and was just short of the right amount of change for the ticket machine. So, I downloaded the app, added my vehicle, registered my debit card and tried to pay but It just responded with an error with no explanation. This happened several times. In the end I had to find a shop and buy something to get some change so I could buy a ticket at the machine. All this took nearly 30 mins, eating into the parking time! When I tried to use the app again and log in with my Apple ID it said it was loading but then just returned to same screen, stuck in an endless loop. Totally useless app, it simply doesn’t work!.Version: 2.7.1

Poor ExperienceDownloaded app a few months ago and linked to Apple ID for authentication. App doesn't seem to remember this and asks to set up on every use. Recently it started to fail while processing payment for parking. Tried re-adding payment card but didn’t work. Removed app and reinstalled only to find my country (UK) is no longer listed in available regions. Absolutely useless..Version: 2.12.3

Ridiculous app feeMy girlfriend’s apartment complex recently started charging for parking using this app. It wouldn’t be that bad except they charge a ¢35 flat fee for using the app each time you park, no matter how long you park for. Even if I am there for 1 hour I have to pay the dumb ¢35, and the fee is not even shown as you are paying when you park for the first time. Probably the most ludicrous thing about this fee is that you are charged it when you extend your parking session. So if you end up extending your 1 hour session to 2 hours, you end up paying ¢70 more than the actual parking rate. Screw this greedy app..Version: 2.7.1

Glitches On Location and PaymentI must say park mobile worked just fine for Wrightsville Beach. I never had this many issues! I have downloaded the app multiple times trying to get it to work and pay for parking instead of constantly coming back to pay for parking over and over. Yes I could just pay for the entire time but who knows how long they will stay at the beach when you could just pay with the click of a button. Please fix, this makes it difficult to come to the beach and enjoy yourself..Version: 2.7.1

Useless!!!Tried to set up an account and add a payment method but it just froze. Tried to log back in, password not recognised. Tried to reset password, password link expired immediately so it wouldn’t work. Tried again, same thing happened. Tried Facebook set up - nearly blocked my account. Utterly hopeless! Now getting change to pay for my parking the old fashioned way!.Version: 2.11

Worst app everI reviewed this app already but I didn’t get a response. Today I needed to park downtown again and this is the app the city of Paso Robles unfortunately switched to. We did have “Way to Park” which was so simple…AND it sent you a message when your time was running out. With Flowbird I again did not receive the 15 minute warning I signed up for. I checked all my settings and every single button for notification was on. I couldn’t verify if you received my payment. There was no countdown on my free parking session, which you ask me to “pay” for. And when I tried to look for a timer you wanted me to enter my info and start all over! Is this even a real app? I notice all your responses to other negative reviews are the same. Hellooooo. Anyone competent out there?! And why the heck do you call it “Flowbird”? Out of all the apps on my phone, when I park I’m looking for something that cleverly has the word PARK in it..Version: 2.21.1

Don’t let Flowbird take your city for a rideThe Flowbird app and meters probably make for a slick PowerPoint pitch to city bureaucrats, but in practice the app and parking meters are buggy and slow and extremely inconvenient. After going through the slow, halting process to pay a meter the app and physical meters often inexplicably say the transaction didn’t work, returning you to the start screen. Then you have to do it all over again (and, sometimes, again) until it works, all to pay $1. Don’t let Flowbird take your city for a ride..Version: 3.1

Doesn’t workI thought the concept was really good. But unfortunately the app only worked once. Always have to login to it. The first time was perfect. Drove in and out with no problems. Second time the barrier didn’t open, I had to reverse away and go and pay at the machine. Lucky there wasn’t a queue to get out!.Version: 2.22

Can’t register card for paymentThis company was selected to run parking at hospitals. I might be unusual but when I come to hospital it’s not for something nice, and I have a huge load already on my shoulders. Trying to get this ridiculous app to work, having already wasted a lot of time hunting for a space, is the last thing anyone needs. I tried 2 different cards and got an error message each time. Ridiculous!!.Version: 2.12.4

Errors thrown once you add credit card and try to remove itI tried to remove the credit card after my session was over for security reasons. I happen to exhaust all possible effort to remove the credit card, reach out Flowbird app and its support to report a major financial security glitch that exists in the app. Next step will be to reach authorities as the developer is not able to fix this technical bug..Version: 2.11

Ease of using Flowbird appThe reservation part of app is ok but the part that is annoying is making reservations the day before. If you don’t pay attention you will get charged for the day before you actually start your reservation. I called the support line and the person told me it’s the way the city sets up their system. The day of going to the airport is busy enough without having to make a reservation at the time of parking or shortly before getting there. Please change the reservation process to be consistent everywhere on the app..Version: 2.21.1

Not sure what’s worse. This app, or Cornwall councils for using it.So, most parking apps are complete garbage. And there are almost as many parking apps as there are car parks in Britain. So my heart sank when I tried to pay and display and found the machine broken, but telling me to pay via this new app I’d never heard of. Despite being in Cornwall which has more mobile telecoms black spots than Antarctica, I eventually managed to download the app. But the app keeps crashing, and made it impossible to pay for my parking. No way to pay over the phone either. So who knows if I will get fined. This is an app that has created a problem that never used to exist. If the parking machine was broken you used to get to stay for free. What do you do now when both the machine and app are broken? Cos we all know the parking company will claim the app is working fine, don’t we..Version: 2.14.1

Location code entry can be improvedThere shouldn’t be a need to enter the city name when there is a location code. This little step slows down the entire payment process. Also, when is the point of giving my cell number when it doesn’t send SMS text reminder on time expiration..Version: 2.14

Trash appNot working well , have to phone the number to parking …..Version: 2.11.2

Failure to load when neededOK, it is winter in Tahoe, temp about 25F. App was slow to down load, and would not open after downloading. The optional pay at Kiosk machine was also broken. Total time spent trying to get this to work - 20 minutes. Since it seems to be the only option in some locations I am sure I will have to try it again. Hope the company that produced this App gets some Federal Infrastructure money to improve their infrastructure. It doesn’t seem they are investing much of their own resources to ensure a good customer experience first time out..Version: 2.11.2

Lack of internet connection & Lacking Payment HistoryI firstly had an issue at the car park as it only took coins ( no notes or card payment) then as there was no WiFi I couldn’t download the app and pay on-line. When I eventually could get a signal whilst on my walk I downloaded the app and set my account up. I purchased my parking whilst I was out for my walk, but when I got home and had WiFi connection I thought I would double check the transaction. I went into history and couldn’t see any info on my earlier payment so to be on the safe side I purchased the hour again. I then thought I would check on my payment card that it worked okay and noticed BOTH payment transactions clearing my card. What’s the point in offering payment history if you can’t support the service........ not good as it made me pay twice to avoid the threat of a fine..Version: 2.7

Flakes Out on Last StepI’ve tried using this app multiple times over the course of a few months - hasn’t worked once. I go through a lot of song and dance every time I open it, standing there for ten minutes entering all my info… only for it to ultimately tell me my credit card is invalid - the same card I use multiple times a day with no problem. It could at least have the courtesy to not work upfront, instead of on the very last step. I guess if you enjoy using apps that don’t work, give it a try!.Version: 3.0.4

Don’t log in using AppleApp constantly forgets Apple log in and loops back to log in screen after you use app for first time. Have to delete and re-download to fix... developers, please please please fix this. Listen to these reviews (disclaimer - I wouldn’t use this app if it wasn’t for my local car park requiring use).Version: 2.7.1

Absolute trashAfter downloading this app to park, it soon seemed like a scam parking app. I have used many parking apps but this was so unusable that I deleted it within a day. It looks very amateur and just feels like a scam. I am glad I don't live in an area where they use this app and I will not park anywhere that uses this as their default payment method. If you can pay any other way then do so. Do not download this app..Version: 2.16.1

Utter crapAnother money grabbing pos that doesn’t work. Password reset doesn’t work. Trash..Version: 2.16

Not fit for purposeApp barely works, you have to reinstall it any time you need to log back in or it will just keep refreshing the login page. They charge extra for reminders that your parking is going to expire and generally the app is not user friendly and was quite frustrating to use. I’d rather start carrying cash than use this again!.Version: 2.7.1

Yet another crappy parking appTakes forever to set up, doesn’t integrate well with anything, wants to store your card info (can’t just use Apple Pay like so many others), and wouldn’t open when I wanted to extend parking so I had to leave early. It’s obvious their customer is whoever they talk into requiring their app, and not the actual user. Kept pestering me to let it always know where I am, not just when using the app, which is super creepy. Wish the town would use one of the other 47 parking apps I already have on my phone instead of this one..Version: 2.14.1

Editing Payment cardWhy can’t we just edit an expired credit card? Instead I have to re-enter the same credit card number just to update my expiry date. When I tried to do that during a transaction my transaction expired so I had to start all over again. Very annoying!.Version: 2.10.2

Dark ages appWhat is wrong with this app? I have passwords for all my apps stored in both the password file on my phone and in LastPass. Normally when I use an app it offers me automatic login completion with the ability to choose which password store to use. Flowbird? Nothing. Not only am I supposed to remember the password out of the hundreds I have, but I'm meant to stand in a wet windy car park and key it in letter by letter on my phone having navigated away from the app to look it up! Really poor functionality and I haven't even got as far as using it for parking yet. Got it all set up for my local supermarket car park a couple of weeks ago and then last week when I went to use it this is what happened. This is not acceptable functionality in this day and age (mirrors the awful parking meters in said car park which are the slowest on the planet). Developers, get your act together. I want to use facial recognition and make a quick payment - not to be left standing in the rain jabbing my finger at a tiny keyboard..Version: 2.7.1

Annoyed. It’s a Monday. I’m just trying to pay for my parking. It keeps crashing when I try enter my vehicle info. I’ve spent 20 mins trying to redownload, restart my phone and refresh my app. It keeps crashing! I didn’t have time to stop at a atm. I will have to get a parking ticket today. I spent 20 mins trying to pay. Now I will spend 20 minutes ranting on this review. Jk. Please fix this ASAP.Version: 2.14

Incredibly glitchyI have been using this app for over 6 months. Every third/fourth time of use I have to delete and reload it because it fails to open properly. Today, when reloading, it asked for my country of residence but UK (or any variation of that) was unavailable as an option so I could not progress with the purchase of my parking permit. I ended up buying a ticket at the meter after 10 minutes of trying to get the app to work!! Please sort these issues out..Version: 2.12.3

AppallingSecond location tried to use. App gave message “No payment method defined” even though it had taken my card details. So I paid in cash at machine only to find, approximately 15 minutes later than the App sent a notification confirming payment had been taken from the card it claimed was not defined..Version: 2.18

Warning ticketI parked my car and paid for 3 hours of parking. When I returned to my vehicle I found a warning ticket on the windshield. I paid the Flowbird Parking system at 10:51 AM and the 3 hours I paid for was good until 1:51 PM. The warning ticket was issued at 11:31AM. The parking fees were paid 40 minutes before the warning ticket was issued. I still had 2 hours and 20 minutes left on the 3 hours of paid parking. I drove to Flagstaff City Hall to talk with the city clerk and he told me that this is NOT a city problem but a Flowbird Parking Application problem. I would like a full refund of $3.35 and Flowbird to fix the poor communication and coordination with the City of Flagstaff..Version: 2.18

I do not recommend this app if you have a choice use any other meansI used this app because the local state park switched to it to pay for parking. However, I will ever use it again and do not recommend anyone else using it. I signed up put my credit number in and they immediately charged the card, then I get an error message the they couldn’t connect to the city. I went back made sure I did everything correctly and tried again and got the same error. So thinking that nothing went through I went to the little machine and paid for parking. Only to find out the next day that the app charged me for both times even though it said it didn’t go through. I called the app customer service and was only told to call the city and they will have to address it. Then after I wouldn’t give up they said that they would submit a ticket to have it reviewed. The next day their resolution was to deactivate my account because I used my Apple ID to create the account. Never address the refund and then a day later charged me a third. If you decide to use this app good luck and make sure you check your statements hopefully you have better luck than I did..Version: 2.16.1

Over chargeTried to register at car park signal insufficient and couldn’t do it found a card machine and paid then found it was cheaper than payment by phone on another site found no signal had to leave car park no card machine,to around 1000 Mts away to get signal.Version: 2.11.2

Lousy save to pdf function… does not workThe save to pdf from billing does not work..Version: 2.22

Would give zero if I couldAwful app..Version: 3.1

Absolutely uselessIt doesn’t work - not sure what more to say! When I tried to pay for parking it simply repeated an error message (but gives no details so I don’t know how to fix it). Very annoyingly, the last time I tried to use it, I assumed it would do the one job it’s designed to do, so had walked away from the car park whilst trying to pay for my parking on the app. It ended up not working after several attempts so I had to go back and move the car for fear of getting a ticket. Also, I see you can’t delete your account in the app, but have to contact the customer service team separately? Avoid!.Version: 2.11

Poor application instructionsUnable to process transactions for parking..Version: 3.2

Almost unusable appAbsolutely awful! Does not auto fill so you have to manually type in email address etc. card details were the worst - the parking booking session expired before I’d managed to manually copy over my card details from my banking app. Then it defaulted the location to Barcelona when I tried to start a new parking session. It’s 20p to use the service plus an hour of parking while you try to get the app to work. Plus a new iPhone because I threw mine into a nearby field in frustration! I would actively find a car park that uses a different payment app than go to a flowbird one.Version: 2.22

MarcusJust overall rubbish doesn’t update password in requested link. Doesn’t ask for password on sign up then locks you out. Simplicity is key when, standing in the rain trying to download another app to pay for parking in a car park you probably never visit again so please refine and test the log in and app access for new customers..Version: 2.11.2

Fault after faultFirst of all I never leave reviews but felt like I had too after this terrible app. Downloaded it then input my data and when I finally got to the pay part. I would just get the same fault over and over again. Even tried deleting and reinstalling but nothing. Then even tried creating a new account on another number but still same fault. So I was left with no choice but to just drive out of the car park otherwise I would of been there all night. I’ve sent a message to the app support team but I’m not expecting much. Just hoping they don’t have the nerve to fine for not paying when their app DOES NOT WORK!!!.Version: 2.21.1

TerribleI tried to pay for parking at a local airport and it just got stuck on the address verification when I was adding my credit card. 100% sure of my own billing address. It didn’t say that it verified or failed verification. It just puts me in an endless loop. I call the support number for the app and she can see nothing wrong with my account or why it doesn’t work. She gives me a number to call the parking directly, but the number has nothing to do with parking. No way to pay for parking and so now we will be fined..Version: 2.12.2

Terrible app!!!I had to park on the ISLE Of Palms at the Windjammer for my kids volleyball game. None of the meters were working. Every card was declined. So I put in change, yet the machine said in sufficient funds. Put in $3 of change. When I saw the sign that you had to download the app, it was not clear how to pay or how to pick your parking place. I missed out on 30 minutes of my child playing. I was able to watch her play for 3 minutes. I think your technical team needs to go back and figure out a better way to work the app. People are stressed. It’s bright outside and you gave a thousand directions. I wish I could give it a zero. That’s how awful your machines and app are. Do better..Version: 2.12.1

Scammers. Useless app doesn’t work in UkScanned app from your machine in brighouse Yorkshire England as had no money to pay and wasn’t going to get caught with number plate cameras. Loaded very slowly then first page asks for country. No United Kingdom on there! Other users have said the same. How are we supposed to pay!? Is this how you make money out of us by then sending a fine out saying we haven’t paid? Absolute scammers! I note you haven’t replied to any of the other negative reviews on here?? I await a response to mine..Version: 2.12.3

Ps l’ancienne application était mieux faite.Version: 2.7.3

App billing Fail and Helpdesk Unable to ResolveVacation to NC coast trying to use app curbside parking. App would not complete transaction with error indicating my credit card address did not match. Multiple update attempts then called help. The person answering was nice, polite and remorseful. Suggested finding a lot with payment machine that accepts credit cards. I’m on vacation visiting so asked for suggestions. No information available. Suggested paying by coins but did not have $10 in coins for the expected 2 hours. Mentioned there must be a technical problem as they recently received 7 or 8 calls for the same issue. Drove to another location and used a payment machine. Need to have a reliable app before releasing for public use..Version: 2.7.5

Poor FunctionalityThis app is way too time consuming to figure out. You can simply type is the zone you are parked in without entering the location you are at. The location list is short and doesn’t even have an option for my city. I sat there for 30 minutes playing with the app to try and enter my details in order to pay..Version: 3.4

No noticeI was parking since march at Aria parking place and suddenly there were tents and trucks , i mean to notice prior to closing parking lot . I have already paid for month and there is no refund or anything. Worst parking lot. I wish if i could gave them 0 stars..Version: 2.12.3

FlowbirdHorrible.Version: 2.22

I’m just trying to give you moneyBut you won’t let me, Flowbird. Can’t update the payment method while parking, can’t do it when not parking. Loop after loop after loop. Why do I try, again and again, when I know that I’ll just give up after five minutes and pray that my car is not towed? I’ve used other parking apps successfully. I know it can be done. But not you, Flowbird. You were meant for greater things; perhaps tracking ovulation cycles, or monitoring household water use. But not the sordid business of parking transactions. It is beneath you. I feel your pain, Flowbird. Now eff off and let me give my money to a company that sees the value in exchanging American dollars for the use of a parking space..Version: 2.11.2

Terrible UIFirst time use. It walks me through a 9 step tutorial I don’t want, the skip button doesn’t work, swipe left/right doesn’t work, I have to ploddingly click the tiny right arrow 9 times. Now the only thing I can do is add vehicle, but I have to tap add vehicle, then ANOTHER add vehicle, to do that. Then select zone, select time (this one step had a nice UI I will acknowledge, the time dial works well). Then, time to pay. Doesn’t accept Apple Pay which would be easy, wants me to fill out a web form with credit card, which doesn’t work with my password manager or auto fill either (!) so I have to ploddingly fill out credit card details manually. By the time I finish, I paid for 30 mins parking and it says 26 minutes left, yes the 3 minutes I spent on clunky app interactions came out of my parking session. Not impressed..Version: 2.16.2

Honestly the most useless parking appFortunately I’ve only had to use a car park operating this app a handful of times and without fail, EVERY time I try and use it, it doesn’t work. Thankfully so far there’s also been the option to pay contactless, otherwise I’d have had to park elsewhere. Either the location can’t be found (even though I’m literally standing in front of the sign and typing it in) or for some unknown reason it crashes or won’t complete payment. So so frustrating when paying for parking is just one of those things you should only need to spend about a minute doing..Version: 2.21.1

Problems loading appApp downloaded and paid fee for 3 hours parking. On return to car park had option to pay for extended parking having now stayed for over 4 hours. On opening app and selecting “continue with Apple” then proceeding with thumb print, app starts to open but then returned to homepage, as if stuck in some sort of loop. It did this numerous times so gave up and ended up with PCN, currently under appeal process with POPLA as parking company rejected initial appeal. Also car park charges shown as £2.50 for one hour plus 40p for each additional 20 minutes. (ie £4.90 for 3 hours) but charged £6.00 plus the 10p service charge as displayed..Version: 2.6.3

StationnementPas pratique pour les stationnements de plus de 24 h mais moins que 48 heures. Pas de facture accessible pour mes remboursements (travail)..Version: 3.2

Extremely Rude Customer ServiceI purchased a 4 month parking passthrough the app but recently had some vehicle trouble and my car needed to go to the mechanic. Due to this I needed to use a loaner vehicle for a few days. I logged into the app to add a secondary vehicle to my pass but found that I was unable to do, which I thought was odd. I called customer service and explained my situation (which can’t be uncommon can it?) to which they replied “sorry we can’t help you, but you can buy new day passes”. I explained again that I had bought a 4 month pass already and didn’t feel like it should be an issue as I already paid for 4 months. They again said “no” and I asked if there was anything else we could try, credit my account or talk to someone else and THEY HUNG UP! I called back feeling frustrated and ended up with the same rep! I tried to explain again and said “what if my car had been totaled? You’d tell me to buy another 4 month pass?” They paused for a few seconds and then proceeded to help me find a solution - to which there really isn’t in there system. How can it be the is hasn’t come up before? I ended up contacting the parking owner and explained the above. They added my temp car to their system and everything was ok. But I don’t ever want to deal with this company again. Will do everything to avoid them in the future..Version: 3.1

Parking Ticket for Healthcare WorkesHealthcare workers be advised you will get a parking ticket when you are at work even if registered in lot!.Version: 2.20.1

RUBBISH! Absolutely terrible to use! REMOVE!This app is absolutely rubbish! Downloaded the app to pay for parking as the machine had ridiculous amount of people queuing up for, finnaly downloaded a 100mb app only for it to not even let you enter a location ID on the side of machine?? So much jargon rubbish to pay for a parking ticket. Ended up queuing to use your machine only for it to work like a chocolate tea pot! Cannot enter your numberplate unless you type your numberplate in 0.2 seconds otherwise ‘numberplate not recognised’. NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. WILL NEVER PARK HERE OR ANYWHERE WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN..Version: 3.2

Full of BugsPayment only goes through some of the time. Fails on multiple occasions. No exportable tax receipt method, only badly formatted summary email. PDF export function does nothing and download button reports error every time. But have successfully paid for parking on second or third attempt on occasion..Version: 2.20.1

Can’t set up payment information in advanceSo, I’m standing curbside yet again trying to use this app. It’s dark out, it’s cold out, I don’t have my reading glasses, I’m running to an appointment. I just logged in with my Apple ID. Why not accept Apple Pay? You’re gonna make me fumble on a small screen on a cold dark night to enter this information now? Cut to Sunday… I’m trying to enter all of this information in advance, but it won’t let me. It Hass to be while I’m parking a car. No problem I think… I’ll just burn $1.50 right now for the convenience of having my card entered. Sorry, paying the meters is not required on Sunday, so I still can’t get my card entered!.Version: 2.10.2

Absolutely worst parking app on the marketYou simply can’t use it. I tried a number of times and I got message “wrong password” whenever I want to pay and the app is logging me out. This is despite of being successfully logged in. The app is collecting way to many personal details, tries to spy on you asking for accessing gps data even when not in use and their customer service number is a premium one. That sums my experience up..Version: 2.16.2

Dreadful.Sat in a car park, download app, you will get an email (which didn’t arrive until much, much later) and asks to set up payment method (which didn’t work). All whilst being concerned that ANPR have caught you coming into the car park so you are on a timetable otherwise you get charged because you didn’t pay because this crappy app didn’t work..Version: 2.11.2

Got a ticket after parkingGot a ticket which i had to dispute as i paid already!.Version: 2.22

Terrible customer service and app.I would give this zero stars if I could. The app told me my session was out of time so I quickly added more time to avoid getting a ticket. Once I paid for another hour my previous session had popped up and I still had half an hour left... I paid for the same half hour twice. I reached out to customer service for a refunded and they said “ I do apologize for the inconvenience, but once the transaction is complete there is no way to cancel, edit, or delete the transaction.” This app has no way to resolves issues. Which is terrible when you have a huge flaw like sessions disappearing so you don’t know how much time you have left. Definitely deleting..Version: 2.10.2

I wouldn’t give a star for this stupidest app!I’m in Akron for the first time, it’s raining and I don’t have enough time for lunch before my next schedule. This app is a complete time waster and ungodly unintuitive to use. How am I supposed to know which part of the city I am in as a total stranger who just needs to use this app once and never again? Just consolidate the parking spots into one city name! I doubt this app is covering 10,000 parking spots in Akron!! Even if it does, why not just add another digit and simply use the spot number no matter which part of the city it is? It would only make sense to divide parking spots into different zones if they were in a big city..Version: 2.16

Why do I need this app.Why do I have to download and app and give you loads of my information and data to park one time for 2 hours. Awful..Version: 2.12.4

Complicated and full of bugs in appNot simplified full of bugs and very expensive price..Version: 2.15

How do they know you’ve paid?It was really easy to set up on the spot when I didn’t have any change. Apple Pay would have been more useful than entering card details though. The only concern I have is that you don’t get a ticket to display in your windscreen. How does a warden know if you’ve paid or not? Particularly disconcerting when the legal signs by the pay machine are so threatening about you not being able to contest a fine with proof of parking! What’s all that about? Answers please!.Version: 2.5.4

Might as well pay on the parameterLet me start by saying that the UI is one of the best I’ve seen in the parking world. But that’s where the good stuff end. First off it logs you out every time you close the app so you have to log in again (if you use Apple log in). Also for ever time you park you have to enter your card details. Even if you add it to the app. Might be a sneaky way to get you to top up your app wallet. Lastly, because of this the Siri shortcut always fails and you might not even notice it. Only to come to your car to find a ticket. If you wanna put this much effort into your parking might as well just pay on the spot. It’s just a simple card tap there..Version: 2.21.1

A completely awful experienceTrying to just pay to park, app takes forever to download, then makes you take a tour, then when you finally have finished creating a vehicle, you’re only allowed to park for 1 hour increments, but even then, the app fails with obscure error messages while trying to pay. Then retrying, the app just gives a blank screen for the payment page. Doesn’t take Apple Pay even if it did work. Ended up causing a fight because partner just wanted to pay at the kiosk and be done. Ruined my day on vacation. Please just quit and let another company take over..Version: 2.7.5

DreadfulThis app is totally dysfunctional and has made what should be a simple payment process extremely stressful and very difficult throughout. I’m presently trying to extend a parking period remotely via the app, which is not working and Flowbird customer support aren’t interested. The initial payment process was also pretty horrific, don’t depend on the app and avoid the hassle of Flowbird car parks if you can..Version: 2.11.2

Doesn’t support Apple PayLooks promising at star you can register using your Apple ID for your account information. This is where the good experience ends it comes to pay you have to register a card which doesn’t work Why this app doesn’t support Apple Pay is a mystery. This needs to be fixed if this is going to be a viable app..Version: 2.15

Do not use!Tried to pay for parking that wouldn’t go through due to lack of connection but the money was still taken from my bank. Paid £9.80 and no parking session was started on the app. Contacted customer services who said they would investigate and I have still not heard back from them after over two weeks :(.Version: 2.14.1

Bad customer serviceThey take away certain parking spots with no warning. No support unless you call them..Version: 2.11
