✓ Games goodFirst I have to say I like the game. It’s not pay to win imo. You can do everything for free just takes way longer. The variety of characters is great and the graphics are good as well. Now the bad even though there are a variety of characters 90% of them are pointless this game is strictly meta like right now baymax team is stupid strong along with a few other characters. I have the kingdom team and I’ll be 5-10 levels higher than the baymax team even tiered higher but somehow only get like 2 attacks off and can’t even kill one of their team. Baymax is wayyyyyy too strong. Along with beast and Hercules. It’s to the point if you don’t have them or have to face them just surrender soon as possible kinda ruins the game cause there is no challenge unless you have those specific characters. Following the schema of SWGOH and Marvel Strike Force, this was a fun, Disney-themed game for individuals and “clubs.” Overall, I think the game is just poorly designed, and Glu and EA are too greedy. There are dozens of limitations to slow growth. It takes weeks or months to gather enough resources, gear, gold, runes, to get characters usable. The only way a player can stay relevant and have good characters is to pay to play. I don’t know many other games that have multiple $100 bundles. As a F2p, I grinded for months to get a decent team to participate in the different game modes... except then the game developers just pulled the rug out from under me. They nerfed 4 of my main characters in one go, months of collecting down the drain. How can I play knowing that any character I invent weeks and months in can be destroyed any minute? ✓ Once we had a unique game......now with the changes to combat and in game progression & economy it’s not worth investing in. Combat used to be unique & dynamic in real time, but has now gone with turn based for some reason. There’s now no appeal to play this game over any other turn based game (And there are many doing it better than this) Save your install until they switch the combat system back, or simply play something else. ✓ Enjoying it, but buggy as hell!I’m enjoying the game so far. It is pay to win, but 95% of games are nowadays so I can live with that. What I can’t live with is the constant bugs and loading issues. You get a “circle of death” every time you load a screen. Then to top it all off, shortly into the guild conquest starting the developers have to turn it off as (presumably) the server couldn’t cope! The game is fun the only downfall is most of the characters you have to pay for if you want them or spend months getting enough character tokens to unlock them. If you have the time or money I say go for it. Most others however have a fair free to play level of progression and with time you can drag yourself up without spending a penny. ✓ From game with huge potential to money hungry developersPlaying this game for over 2 years it started out like an amazing idea with limitless potential. In over 2 years being active part of the game and discord community i can tell you this : any and every feedback gets ignored, game is full of bugs that are constantly reported but gets ignored. They keep rolling new updates and new characters without testing them and they just keep adding broken characters full of bug that are only obtainable by spending lots of money. I do spend money on a good game from time to time , did it a few times in this game but never again. Zero communication with community , zero actions toward resolving real issues of the game , everything the DSA and Glue team did in past year is figuring out best way for new content to get paid. ✓ Decent Turn by turn, can pay-to-win.This is a pretty standard turn by turn, the characters are fun to see pitted against each other, and you really don’t have to pay anything to have fun. However, you sure can buy characters, upgrades and currencies to make your team broken and not fun to play against. Some nerfing of “movie” teams such as big hero 6 or the frozen characters are too OP to have any fun when playing against these teams. It become less about skill and more about who can spend enough money to buy all these characters. That’s really my only true complaint. I don’t mind people spending their money. Just annoying when a low level team that has natural attack strings can completely destroy 2-3 of my teams higher level characters because of multiple stuns, extra hits, multiple evasions and infinite slows and afflictions before I even have the chance to attack once. ✓ Not playableThe first few weeks the game is a lot of fun! You level up quickly, earn lots of characters, and level them up quickly as well. But after you hit level 25 maybe (which I hit in 2 weeks). The game is near impossible to play, it just becomes a chore. You can do the PVP battles (which take about 10-15 minutes & are unevenly lines up). Or you can do sorcerers battles, but you don’t get anything out of it so why? But in order to level up your characters you need to equip 6 pieces of gear onto your character. It takes me about 2 days to get one piece of gear and I play twice a day. Also in order to get characters you want or to participate in the special events you need certain characters. I’ve spent the last 4 days using all of my energy to try and get a character. And I play 10x and instead of getting a token every time. I get a token maybe 1-2x so then I have to wait for energy to reload. And it takes 6 minutes for one energy. And you need between 8-16 to participate in ONE battle. So 48 minutes - 1.5 hours just for ONE battle. Not to mention the max energy levels are so low so even if you do let it completely refill you can participate in about 10-12 battles.Cheer050897Version: 11.3

Parents should know, you see Aladdin jump into the air, and stab a guy with a knife every fight. You see this a lot because it is super hard to complete a character. Difficult to get any major movie character without cash. Stuck to getting C-list characters, like the ghost from some random old movie, or Gaston. Most of the battles can be played on full auto after a long tutorial telling you to push at very specific places. Since the team is basically unchanged for a long time, it gets boring very fast. The equip system is super annoying. Game knows that you have items that needs to be equipped, but you have to do it yourself. It's not as if you have a lot of choice since items change based on tier. You are constantly dealing with click through to the equipment menu because you see a notification every time you gain one in any 6 items for a whole lot of characters. That's a lot of gear pieces! There are multiple boxes to open with different currencies it's hard to keep track. Every club is "full". It cost a lot to start a club, so just be lucky that any accept you. However, like other people have outlined - the game has a bunch of technical glitches and is super laggy. Currently writing this review on my iPhone and the load screen for SA has taken so long that the iPad screen went dark (twice and still has not loaded). PVP battles are clunky with half the moves happening on their own. Have lost several rounds because the interface does not let me make the special move selection or target a certain character, just makes the standard attack on its own. Part of my issue with the game is that this is a beautiful re-skin of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. All of the mechanics are the same (7 Star characters, level up to 99, load at you gear, gear tiers, hunting for hexagonal tiles to level up or earn your favorite characters) — the thing is, SW:GoH never had half the technical issues that this one does and explained things in way better detail. Even the level nomenclature is the same (Hero 1A, 2A, 3B - blah, blah, blah). This one deserves more effort, better tutorials for the various functions and a better interface as you move from function to function in-game. ✓ Worst PvP algorithm I’ve ever seenThis game was really good until I unlocked PvP. That’s when I noticed the hackers of this game and it’s terrible algorithm. A quick google search will tell you about the most OP characters, and surprise surprise, that’s what almost everyone has. It’s either Shan-Yu, Hades, or something else. Also the turn-base is awful. The PvP really favoritisms certain players, because I’ve seen people with the weakest characters in the game beat me because they went like, 7 times before I even went once. Also the hackers. I can’t talk about this enough. I’ve been one-hit K.Oed by Duke Kaboom more times than the number of fingers on my hand. Duke Kaboom is obviously the most OP spell, because I’ve seen players play him within the first 10 SECONDS of the match. Also the algorithm. I can’t stress how bad this algorithm is. I’ve been up against players that had over 1,000 more power than me. We’re talking my 3 to 4-star tier 4 team up against 5-star tier 5 teams. It’s awful. If the game expects you to win, good luck. ✓ Climbing downhillWhen the game rolled out, it was a blast. The game was very competitive and hard work paid off. I never minded a few dollars here or there. Once Glu took over the game, there has been a massive decline in performance and customer service compared to the games first year. 1. There is an insane number of glitches that arrive with every update. Sometimes so in unbearable that you can’t play. Takes them months to fix character abilities and bosses who have “invisible heads”. When a glitch gives you millions of coins or extra character nodes, it’s fixed in minutes. 2. You have to spend thousands in order to be competitive. I have spent $15,000 in the last year and my characters are still not in the top. They have debuffed characters I invested in so bad that they are useless. Every new character that comes out is stronger than all the ones you have invested in that took you several months to upgrade. 3. Customer service uses scripts to communicate and require you to record a video of all the glitches. They still don’t get fixed. 4. Discord is not used by the game but outsourced aka “spokesperson” which is 2 guys who communicate for Glu but insult or block players daily. Plus extremely unprofessional. ✓ Wasted a year of my life.I played this game religiously, every day, for almost about a year now. I loved it. I do put some money into buying gems at times, but I’m primarily f2p. That being said, it takes a LONG time to build or unlock characters, and you can spend a LOT of money very fast to help in this game. I had been working really hard to build my team around what was working against the stronger characters and teams at my player level. I recently raced to unlock a player that would complete the perfect team for myself, and build her up (yes, I spent money for this), before an event was over. After said event ended, and I had her at a decent playing level, the trash new update was released... let’s just say that this company ruffled a lot of feathers and screwed over a lot of players, making previous power house characters now completely worthless. It is now painfully clear that this company doesn’t care about the free to play players. They make enough money off of the big spenders that unlock the unattainable legendary characters, and that’s all that matters to them. It’s been fun, but I have no desire to continue playing now. Character collection, and levelling up. However soon after it becomes a very long and laborious task. As a result, you end up playing against very overpowered characters in player-versus-player; you can bet on playing against some permutation of the same 10-15 characters 9 times out of 10. If you do decide you want to pay, you’re looking at anywhere from $10-$100 just for the *chance* to unlock a character and power them up to a usable level. On top of that, there’s always the chance that the developers may release an unannounced update later that nerfs the character you paid for. Overall, the concept is great and I would even be willing to pay money for this or something similar if it were on a console. However, I don’t know many people who are able and willing to shell out the kind of money this game asks for, nor do I know many people who are patient enough to farm a character only to have it nerfed when the next new character releases. But overall, this game is a technical disaster. Constant drops, heavy load times getting in (if you can, which is a crap shoot at best), and overall lagginess. But all of that is let down by the sickening pay to win structure and endless game breaking bugs that then take forever to be fixed (if they ever are). ✓ It’s okayI think this game has a lot of potential to be great, but it’s merely a cash grab for Disney. They make it nearly impossible to gain new characters and it’s so hard to tier up your already existing characters. The character tokens, which are used to unlock characters and level up your existing characters, are not even guaranteed after you win the battle. And leveling up yourself is fairly difficult. You get going really fast at the beginning but once you hit like level 9-10 it’s like a brick wall. You’re stuck constantly losing against higher leveled characters, and if u want to level up to beat them you have to replay multiple old levels. You have your starter characters which luckily they’re diverse enough ranging from the little mermaid to monsters inc, but after you get like the first low go characters, it takes forever or money to get enough tokens to unlock new characters. Then you finally have the chance to get character tokens in the special events, but oops, turns out you don’t have enough two star characters so you can’t play past level one. Support doesn’t care at all. When you bring these issues up, they simply take note of them, and say they pass the feedback along. There are 10 or so main characters that people use, and tons that are simply used to progress through events, but have no real value in the game. This speaks to Glu’s inability to balance characters. Iago and Aladdin had a higher percent of getting but Jasmine token drop rates were to low and I wasn’t guaranteed a jasmine token after a battle. I had to keep using gems to get more tries and even when I did pay I still barely got jasmine tokens. I did this everyday when jasmine came out till today and I only got 11/50. The biggest issue with the game is everything is pretty much set up to get you to spend money and I’m not talking about $5. To get a few characters in a bundle it’s $99. You can get a full game on any console for less then that and this is just giving you a few characters to be able to use. You get some basic characters in the beginning, but after that it’s hard to get anyone new. There are a lot of characters that would be fun to use in battle, but you will probably spend $100’s to get them. ✓ Great Gameplay, But Heavy On MTXI love the turn based style gameplay with all of my favorite characters. I love how frequent it seems that more characters are being introduced, the game isn’t lacking in content at all. Unfortunately it is EXTREMELY hard to play as a free to play player since so much of the progression mechanics rely on chance, unless you pay. The game isn’t quite pay to win, but it definitely has a pay to win feel since dropping large amount of money will allow you to max out your characters faster to make a stronger team. I also hate how pricey the bundles are. Everything is over $10 and some even go up to $100. I’ve been tempted to buy, but can’t justify spending $30 on a few characters for a mobile game. Being a Disney fan, I like building up the teams. Unfortunately, a lot of the fun is lost is the additional effects. It is a marketing nightmare. There is a considerable bombardment of offers and advertising that pops up. It is hard to identify legitimate free offers from pay offers unless you visit all offers to remove the badges. The other pain point is connectivity. Nearly every time I play the game, it hangs because of connectivity issues. I am not sure why it has to be that seemingly always connected while I am playing. I think some gameplay should be able to be done without connectivity and update it when you establish it. ✓ The game is good, the store isn’t.Disney is still Disney when it comes to design, the game looks very nice graphics-wise, and the UI is easy to use, one of the best I’ve seen for this mobile game genre. The characters have synergies, allowing for actual strategy in team building, albeit dumbed down for kids’ sake. So the gameplay itself is good, but the store is horrible. You don’t get nearly enough gems from the daily quests, most achievements (which are 1 time) give little amounts of gems. The only notifications you get in the store are for free chests (4hr isn’t worth opening the game for, 24 isn’t worth 24 hrs) and bundles after you collect one shard of a new character. These bundles usually range from 5-10 dollars, though later into the game, I’ve noticed $20 offers. Ever event comes with offers as well. A single character pack can cost anywhere from 500 to 1000 gems, equal to almost 2 weeks of grinding, minimum. To save some time, the game has a good style, but you’ll be slower than a tortoise when it comes to progressing. Most missions are locked behind character star requirements. Basically, has potential, but it’s boring as hell f2p, just play MSF. Edit: Bucket of soldiers is absolutely broken to put it lightly, not using the vivid profanity like whenever I see it in pvp. This game was really fun but now it’s turning into a money hungry system where every turn they are begging for money, and offering you this or that if you upgrade to this in game purchase. The game is set up to only be playable if you spend heavily, and by that I mean 1000s. There is no thought paid to light spenders or the free to play community. You are simply not part of their equation. You will face nothing but maxed teams from those who pay, and to get 1 character at max level and gear takes months as a light spender when you have all the top content on farm. The latest patch is aimed 100% at at very very heavy spenders and is not accessible to most of the community.
