✓ Great until it stopped workingBeen playing this for a while and like it but unfortunately today the game seems to have broken. I’m able to play the daily game, but when I move on to a regular game (I’m at level 556) it freezes. Too bad because I like the weekend competition. UPDATE: Still broken on 6/22. Everything seems fine except that no game loads at level 556 which means I can’t move on. I guess I could delete and reinstall, but that probably means I lose all my coins (over 18,000) and my advancement. I guess I will just delete. UPDATE 2: So I got an email response from the designers. They are aware and working on a fix, but gave me a workaround. Go back to the first game of the first level and play it again. This unlocks everything and after you finish that first game it brings you to your current, pre-lock level. YMMV - but this worked for me and I did not lose any coins or levels. Giving back the stars I took away for their quick response and easy work around until they get it sorted out..Version: 2.5.7

Now, with quarantine I decided to and I’m happy I saw this game in another’s games add. I love the calm music, if you’re stressed it’ll definitely not only ease your mind but reduce stress. ✓ Pay to play in higher levels...I found this fun and somewhat challenging but am about to give up and uninstall. Once you get into the upper more challenging levels a lot of categories/subjects are very vague and you don’t even know where to start. Either that or you have to keep shuffling letters more and more often to get words and complete the level, which drains all your coins quickly. I bought the 660 coin pack for 2.99 and within half an hour to an hour I have none. No coins = no advancing and it repeatedly begs you to buy from the store to keep progressing. I’m not constantly spending money to play this. Shame because it’s a good boredom cure and fun to play. :(.Version: 2.5.2

✓ Free game 👍🏻Some of the reviews I read were people saying they’d spent so much money on this game, I’ve been playing it for 3 weeks and never once spent money on it, I’ve got loads of coins but rarely need to use them. Addictive game, yes the ads are a bit annoying but you can skip them after about 10 seconds and you don’t get an advert after every single game. Only thing I would suggest to the creators is that sometimes I accidentally use one of the hint features when I didn’t mean to press that button. If there was a confirmation stage after selecting the hint it could stop that happening..Version: 2.8.4

✓ Can’t ComplainAt the time of writing I’m onto Level 128. No complaints so far. Yes there’s regular ads but thats to be expected if you download a free game. Have barely had to spend in-game coins, or use up hints or anything else either, so there’s been no pressure of running out of coins/hints as opposed to some other games where you then end up stuck waiting to watch your next free video. If you stay patient long enough you’ll find the word you need - or sometimes I’ll ignore the game for a few hours, come back and spot that key word right away that begins clearing the level. Aside from that it’s also great for falling asleep to - if I’m struggling to drift off, I’ll stick this on quickly and the concentration quickly gives you that extra edge of tiredness to fall asleep too. Not the original intention of the game but it’s a good bonus feature in my case..Version: 2.8.4

Level 71 - “Firework” (singular) is also a word. Level 79 - “Noel” is also a word. Level 93 - if you accept Adams as a word, then “Adam” is also a word. Level 104 - “Russian” is also a word. Non-level specific - “ads” is also a word (as in short for advertisements). May 31 daily challenge - “gluttons” is also a word. There have been more but I wasn’t taking note of them at the time. I’ll update this review as I find more. Also, the game quite frequently freezes and crashes and the only way to continue playing is to force close the app and re-open it….becomes fairly annoying after the first few dozen times..Version: 3.0.6
✓ Best word game everThis game is awesome!!! You get to take part in tournaments and it is highly addictive!! There are no compulsory in-app purchases and every time you exit the buy coins area you get to watch an advert to get coins!!! I’m on level 1412 and have been playing for ages now. This is an amazing game! However, there is one teensy little issue - whenever the Royal Match advert happens it crashes my game and I have to start again. ✓ Please fix crashingI’ve loved playing this game for the past couple of years. I did purchase it so I can play ad free. It has had a lot of interesting puzzles and themes. I like being able to customize my background and having the option to watch ads for more coins if needed. I agree with another review about the placement of the hints. I have also accidentally purchased a hint by bumping it with my thumb. Maybe just a simple confirmation after touching the hint would eliminate the accidental buying. I recently had to delete the game due to it constantly crashing after an update. I have reinstalled it and it still closes the app randomly during play. So I deleted it again. I do hope it is fixed soon. I really miss playing this word game. It is a great game to keep your mind busy and sort of clear your thoughts and I like that you can play at your own pace. ✓ Perfect Word Game!!!I just quit playing a game I really loved (Warlords of Aternum) after 3 years because the devs ruined it. Been playing Word Crush for just one week and am already at level 312. Saw my wife playing, so I downloaded it. Quickly got going and am now totally addicted. Extremely enjoyable, relaxing game, with vivid colors, great themes and not too heavy on ads. Other word games I’ve tried are frustrating and poorly conceived. Word Crush’s Bonus feature is fantastic because it accepts nearly every word in the English dictionary including many colloquialisms. Overall the game is challenging, but not completely ridiculous. Game fits my brain structure so well that I haven’t needed to use any of the hints or helps thus far. The few times I was stuck, I got a notification after a few hours with a “suggestion” which was very helpful. Further, I was enjoying myself so much that I won a tournament that I didn’t even know I was in! I am a vocal player regarding glitches and suggestions. But so far I haven’t seen a single thing I would change, which is why I rated it 5 stars. ✓ Really enjoyableThis has become my favorite word game! I do wish the badge challenges were structured differently though. This should be a daily all day challenge instead of timed like it is now. The way they are structured now if you trigger a badge challenge by playing a game then you have to finish all three levels in a certain time period. Well that means one sitting playing for hours which I just can’t do and I would think many people can’t. Let those of us who can only play a few puzzles at a time have a chance at badges too Update: I noticed the badge challenges are more accessible now so kudos to the game developers! There’s a couple of mildly disturbing things: 1) as this is obviously made by a country that is not the US, This winter season 2021 include native themed teepees and feather headdresses. This is a huge faux pas. Indigenous headdresses are current and culturally specific and not to be copied or used outside of specific ceremonial settings and then only by specific people who have earned and made them. So that was pretty shocking to see. 2)The other is why does the November 2021 bonus theme sun look like a corona virus? It’s pretty funny but still seems in poor taste.Version: 2.9.2

✓ The developers may hate me....Everyone complains about all of the ads that you must sit through while playing this game. Once when I was on an airline flight, I discovered that this game works great when you have no internet connection. If you play this game in Airline mode, which you can turn on under the Settings menu of your device any time, you can play for as long as you want with no annoying ads and it doesn’t cost you a thing.... Then when you are done playing the game and want to go back online, you just turn the Airline mode off. Simple solution! Of course, now that I have pointed this out, the developers may delete my comment or revise the application so that you can’t play it offline. We’ll see!!!.Version: 2.7.3

✓ Great potentialApp is great for a wordy person but has lots of little weaknesses that detract. Examples include throwing french words into an English game. E.g. “Pape” instead of “Pope” as someone who wears white. Even though you can see a lot of the words before they are crushed into position you can’t get credit til one particular word is found and that word can be a french word so its weird. Also sometimes the app simply won’t accept that you have found a word. I try to select it over and over it wouldn’t take but after flipping the board it let me take it. (I think the example was “Bridge”. If you don’t find a word in 4 seconds it will start bouncing cheat options in the tray which is annoying. But the mix of terms is better than I expected so I still play it sometimes..Version: 2.6.6

✓ Excellently constructed word finding gameBeautiful graphic backgrounds which change over time (later you can choose one of a set you’ve earned), well planned goals, performs quickly and accurately. You have optional help if you need it. You can buy with earned coins the options or work for them, also you can watch ads for additional coins. One thing that is bothersome are the abundance of short ads (you can wait for the arrows which end them) it’s just more than I’ve seen in any other game. Seriously. However the game is worth it. Intermediate goals and competitions keep things interesting plus the daily and normal level word sets. I’ve decided to buy the No Ads option. It’s always good to support creators of good games. I can sit for a couple of hours and get lost in what I’m doing. It’s good for the memory and brain power! Highly recommend if you like word puzzles. The 2 weeks before I came in #1 and the game just all disappeared before I could get my coins. I put up with all your ads and I lose sleep Friday to Monday just to get to #1. When are more levels coming? Make a commitment to get it done and tell your users what is happening with your game. ✓ My favorite word game.Word Crush is, by far, my favorite word game. I’ve played it daily through the pandemic and am on level 3971 with over 137,000 amassed points and the only money I’ve spent on the game was to make it add free. I love that the background image changes every 100 games, there’s a weekend contest and a couple of challenges during the week. I wish the developer would tie an actual dictionary to the app, though because there are occasionally some obscure words in the puzzles and their dictionary doesn’t have a definition..Version: 2.7.6

✓ I LOVE WORD CRUSHI like word crush a lot, the music is super relaxing and it is fun to just find words. It is also super fun to play the different levels to get prizes and themes. The daily is very confusing because it doesn’t have a theme but it is fun to do it every day to get coins and a new theme at the end of any month. Even if you miss a daily puzzle you can redo it you just need to use 25 coins. The only thing I don’t like about it is the ads. You can watch them to get coins and power ups but that’s a choice you don’t have to. But you have to watch one every time you finish a puzzle. Overall It is a lot of ads but it is worth it. I definitely recommend word crush if you are looking for a fun game to play that can take your mind off everything for hours. If your not shire about this game then get it. The only real problem (apart from the insistence on showing adverts for the same games over and over) is that it seems to be based on American English, for example fibre and not the UK spelling of fibre.
