Don’t rely on it.I installed the app several months ago and got my COVID vaccine pass which took quite some time to verify me. Then added my drivers license. Last month the app didn’t work, and had me verify again who I was and I spent about 45 minutes going through that process again. When I got my booster shot I went back into the app to see if it was registered. Well, I had to verify myself for the third time!!! All was working last week. Two days ago Denver went into a mask mandate or allowing a business to admit COVID vaccinated people. One of our entertainment centers already had that mandate in place. So, with $249 in tickets in hand, I was not admitted. Why, I could not open the Mycolorado app. I showed the ticket taker a pic of my card, but it was a bit to dark and out of focus. Frustrating. Well, after observing a bunch of people having the same problem the center relaxed the rule for the night. Don’t trust this app..Version: 5.2

Won’t get past uploading DL and selfie picturesTried several times several different way to get the front and back of my drivers license and the selfie. Photo checks out during the process and gives green checks but fails every time when it tries to upload and says the photos are blurry or have a glare or something is wrong in general or an error occurred . Then it makes you log in again and redo it to have the same thing happen. It’s funny how my iPhone can recognize my face in near pitch black to unlock my phone but this app can’t recognize a face in a photo and upload to finish the account setup. Really frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP..Version: 1.8

Can’t create accountI think this may be more of my phone issue, so i hate to leave such a low rating. i have the iPhone 12 Pro (3 cameras) and the app defaults to using the main camera (standard wide angle). most apps do, the main is usually the best to use overall, so i get it. only problem is the main camera has a limited focus distance, and won’t focus on the barcode of my card because it has to be so close to the camera in order to fit into the rectangle graphic. i’ve tried this is the regular camera app too (same distance from lens) so i know it’s at least an Apple issue. it would work if the app allowed me to use the telephoto lens but it doesn’t do unfortunately this app is useless for me at the moment. maybe if the rectangle graphic could be made smaller for certain phone models? that way i can have my barcode far enough for the camera to focus on it while still fitting the rectangle graphic fully..Version: 4.6

If you’re going to upgrade your iPhone, read this first.I had my electronic vaccination card already on myColorado app with the info of my first 2 vaccinations. Then I decided to upgrade my iPhone and when I was checking if my booster vaccination info was added on the app, myColorado app deleted/removed my electronic vaccination card completely after upgrading my iPhone. I tried everything I could to retrieve it and even filled out an electronic form to investigate the issue. I also chatted with customer service and they told me, out of nowhere, that suddenly there was a name mismatch. Apparently they fixed the name mismatch issue and told me that in 48 hours, I’d be able to see my vaccination card again. After 3 days, I’m still waiting for my vaccination card to be posted electronically with my 3 vaccinations. Is management looking into this? I’m going to travel soon and I need my electronic vaccination card on the app ASAP..Version: 5.3

Don’t count on this app.So you really hurt me today. It’s practically impossible to get a replacement license now that do offices are so limited. They just want you to renew online rather than just sell you a new copy. But I had to save up for an eye appointment first. Same nothing changed but it cost me a hundred dollars just so I can say to you I checked. When you could have just checked. So anyway no license yet and now the app I have really needed doesn’t work at all. New software update on apple maybe. Just to let people know. Don’t ever trust state apps to to a point you count on them. And in this case since all it does is provide very important docs. Make other plans. Colorado doesn’t give a you know what..Version: 7.8

My Colorado app is terribleI’ve had the app since its inception and was excited to have the ability to carry my important information (ID, insurance, car title) on my phone but because the app is SO hinky I’ve had to delete the app 4 times over time in order to re-register so it will work. For lack of a better term it continually kicks me off and does not recognize my log in. I just deleted the app AGAIN to re-register but the camera function cannot scan the back of my license. How is this the only app approved by the State?! Surely there are developers out there that can make this concept work consistently!! Bottom line: when it works, it’s great but it OFTEN does not work..Version: 8.1

Doesnt workLiterally the only time I’ve ever tried using the app for my ID and the reset password function just straight up doesn’t work. Consistently breaks on at least 1 of the steps with the least useful error message ever created- “Something went wrong. Please try again.” How helpful…. Not only that, but they seem to have override the default popups for text somehow and if you click any of the options the app immediately crashes no matter what you’re doing. Lastly, for some reason they decided you could “use” the app without signing in or creating an account, only your prompted to sign in/create an account if you try and do anything in the app. What is the point? Simply not worth using in its current state. Edit in response to dev response: The funny part is I DID try and contact through the proper channels first, but it was all entirely unhelpful and the bug submission just didn’t work after I spent the time to try to submit the bug. Verification ProblemsI would not recommend downloading this app if your DMV picture is older than 5 years. I contacted support after not being able to verify my account and they said trying to verify your account can take up to 25 times of taking a picture to compare to your license or it’s just not going to work. I think it’s a good idea, but if these problems are known and they are using tax dollars to develop this solution they need an alternative way to verify identity to make use of the app open to everyone paying for it. If they came up with a secondary way to verify identity then this might be a better app..Version: 4.9

Terrible - Don’t renew using the appRenewed my license on Jan 1st in the app and received a text the same day stating my renewal was accepted. It’s now Feb 3rd and still no license received. I looked on the Colorado DMV website and it says my license was processed but was never mailed. I contacted the DMV and they told me the license may have been lost in the mail. Here’s a question for you, how can a license be lost in the mail if the state is saying it was never mailed in the first place. I followed the instructions in the app to open a ticket and also sent an email to the address listed in the app, and guess what, no response has been received. Maybe my expectations are too high for a government service..Version: 4.0

Not even worth it if it’s free doesn’t workThis app is constantly causing me to re-login and resubmit all of my IDs and fishing license every week. The point of this app and see you have your IDs on you and it could be used as an identifier but if it’s not reliable to keep them on the phone then why use it. My fear as a fisherman is to be fishing asked for my fishing license in the app doesn’t have it on there this time. That causes a lot of problems and headaches that no one needs. Suggestion keep your IDs with you your fishing license with you this app does not work. I have use this app since it’s inception and it has not worked once longer than a day or two..Version: 4.7

No user support providedI updated to the latest version and, as warned, the face id on my iPhone no longer worked for sign in. Because I’m old and lazy, i never wrote down my user id. The app doesn’t give me a way get my user id or update my password without a user id. I called user support three times and was on hold for more than 45 minutes each time before I gave up. I sent at least two messages to the support system and, other than an automated “We received your email” I haven’t heard anything back from them. (They really deserve a 0 star rating).Version: 5.3

Cool idea but not working for meEverything worked well until I tried to take a picture of the front and back of my DL. Each time I’ve tried to take a picture of the back of my license and submit it, it just takes me to a blank white screen. I don’t know if it’s loading or processing because there’s nothing to indicate that so I’m just left staring at a blank white screen that I can’t move past. I have to go back, resign in, retake the picture of the front, and retake the picture of the back, and then I’m back at the white screen where I was before. Either there’s a glitch or I need to be more patient while the app processes my photo—but if that’s the case, a loading indicator or spinning dial of some sort would be helpful. :).Version: 1.8

Non-functional appFor most purposes, this app has perfected triggering the fatal Apple spinning wheel which indicates nothing works. And, if you try to set up your Covid vaccine information, after you have scanned your Driver’s License, you will never be able to pull up your vaccine information if that license data doesn’t match what was entered originally into the state’s vaccine database, which it likely won’t. You see, the inquiry by this app will not allow you to edit the data for name etc. to try to search the vaccine data for your information, rendering this function completely worthless. Didn’t anyone working for the Developer even think to test their product to see if it is properly functional? Additionally, this app is painfully slow to respond using the latest IOS. How could this be rated so highly when it barely functions at all? Perhaps the State instructed employees to falsely give it five stars?.Version: 4.9

Log in destroys functionalityI have had this app for several years, and once you’re logged into the app, it has a lot of opportunity and great things. The asinine aspect is logging in. Approximately every two months, when you need to go onto the app, your login is never remembered, there is no option for a Google/Apple/etc. login, and there is no option for Face ID. This turns into a cycle of trying to re-create a password, ping verification, apple suggested password fails, and ability to tap into any of the password boxes, text verifications, and the loop just continues and continues. This destroys the ability to actually use the product. Truly awful UX..Version: 8.3

Great but obnoxiousLike the app whenever I happen to be fortunate enough to get logged in. I use Face ID so I don’t have to remember my password, as do most people, right? I rarely use this app, so it seems that each time I login, it has been so long since the last login that Face ID has expired and it wants my password instead. But I don’t remember my password and for some annoying reason, it doesn’t auto save on my phone, so then I have to spend 5 solid minutes resetting the darn thing. It’s stupid and annoying and a waste of time. If Face ID would just work all the time, the app would get 5 stars..Version: 6.4

Can’t creat accountFirst of all, scanning the license is so hard, I have to hover my phone over the barcode for like a minute before it scans it. But my main issue is that I cannot create an account because every time I try it, after creating a username/password and all that stuff, it displays a message saying something like “oops, you caught with our system down, try again later” and it doesn’t matter how long I wait to try again (minutes, days, weeks, over a month now) it simply doesn’t work as it keeps displaying the same message. Verification process is annoying, but worth itAfter getting my CO ID, I was excited to get the app. Had issues getting it started and support was hard to find. After going through text verification many many times, restarting my phone, deleting the app and reinstalling it, going through the photo verification steps several times in different lighting situations… I finally got it. Great. Did it have to be this hard though? Well, nevertheless, I’m glad I have it. It’s a little clunky, but for a government developed app, not bad..Version: 5.1

At first impressed, then dissappointed..This app appeared to be something useful, especially the vaccine card addition. I was excited to use it. I linked my vaccination info and checked a few times to make sure that it worked, even in airplane mode. All is well. Next time I use the app is when I have to present my information to a venue. Open the app, am logged out. Ok… inconvenient having to step out of line to log back in. What’s the point of Touch ID if the app logs you out anyways. Once I was logged back in I discover that the app no longer has my vaccination information and won’t let me access it again. The whole purpose of this app is that you always have your id and vaccine card when you have your phone with you… really disappointed.Version: 4.9

Fails more often than it worksAfter going through the full app setup, loading all my insurance cards, fishing license, Covid vaccine card, etc. - it will often fail to load my ID when I attempt to retrieve it. It lost/disassociated my Vax card on the second login after linking it, and now it fails to find it and throws an error, even though I searched and linked it through the app the first time successfully. Today it logged me out and when I loges back in it shows my wallet but then when I try to access anything it routes me back to the login page. Honestly this app is more a PITA than it’s worth. Great idea, poor implementation..Version: 5.5

Great — when you can loginI’ll login to the app frequently and no problems. Seemingly out of nowhere, I’ll be prompted to log in again and it rejects my password (which is in a password manager, so I’m not mistyping or forgetting), eventually leading me to reset. I have to go through at least twice because every. single. time. I get “A problem has occurred. Please try again.” Doesn’t tell me what I did wrong but I just have to go through the process again. Once you’re in the app, it’s very handy but the login process is random and inconsistent in terms of UX..Version: 5.9

Zero stars if that was an optionFor the last 2 years at least since I have been trying, I have not been able to create an account with the same message: "myColorado is not able to communicate with the DMV systems right now. Please try again later.". Clicking on "App Support" takes you to a non existant webpage (404 page not found). I cannot believe this is an acceptable state-endorsed app. It is 100% completely useless. I have tried every recommended thread on the internet. I have the latest phone, latest OS and latest app. Still no joy. Even submitted a support ticket and still nothing....Version: 7.4

Problems with the appWhen this app works it’s great and it is really useful, the problem is that it has a lot of issues. One of the issues that appears is that it will randomly not accept the Face ID scan and constantly log in and log you out and the only way to stop this is to uninstall the app. Once uninstalled the app either does not accept your original user name or will, this appears to be random. I really would like for this app to be more reliable so I don’t have carry my vaccination card especially because more places will require it to get in. Please make this app more stable.Version: 5.2

Great concept but some small flawsI really love the concept of this app. Debility to store your Colorado ID, your vaccination records, your insurance and registration information as well as other state related info… However getting access to this information is difficult I will keep the faith and continue using it because it’s the best way for vaccination records to be stored and validated without having to carry your vaccine card everywhere. Looking forward to fixes and updates as the application matures.Version: 5.2

Now brokenThe app used to work, but is now broken for me. I created an account and used a suggested password. When I tried to log in with the latest version, Face ID failed, and the password is no longer in my keychain. I tried to recover the password, but it says my account word is not recognized. So I try to create a new account snd it says the account already exists. So it’s broken…I can’t recover my password, and I can’t create a new account with my email address..Version: 5.2

What’s the point if you can’t stay logged in??It could be so great…. If you didn’t have to change your password every time you used it. This is not an every day app, but when you need it, prepare to update it, go through the forgot my password steps, log back in… what the heck is the point? Simple review: if you’re in your 20’s and need to show your ID all the time, this app is great. If you only use it once in a while, like pretty much everyone, prepare to stand there like an idiot for 15 minutes either updating the app or trying to log in every single time you have to use it, and passwords and logins aren’t stored. Great security, I guess, not really any more useful than paper though..Version: 6.7

Generally convenient. Missing some thingsIt’s great that the state provides this app. Fantastic to have vaccination records from the state in the smart health card format, rather than trying to aggregate from different providers. However, there doesn’t seem to be any way to add the smart card to Apple wallet yet. The share sheet that pops up when attempting to download the smart health card does not appear to be entirely standard, and its last choice, “Print“, overlaps the slide up bar at the bottom of the screen. Also, I am visually impaired and use dark mode, because I cannot read dark text on a white background. It would be nice if the app would respect the choice and provide a dark mode friendly design option..Version: 5.2

Logout bug in version 5.2There appears to be a bug in the latest version, version 5.2, that causes an endless loop of logging in and logging out of the application. It basically renders it unusable. When the app worked in the past it is handy and good start for a digital wallet of key Colorado documents. Unfortunately this latest version has this bug which makes the app completely unusable right now. Hopefully it gets fixed soon and this would be at least a four-star app at that point..Version: 5.2

Upgrading Permit to LicenseI think the MyColorado app is a good app if you need important paperwork with you and you don't want to have the hastle of carrying it around with you, however, when it came down to upgrading my permit to a license, i had the hardest time with it. I had a friend that did the exact same thing as I did and it worked for her but I don't know why it's not working for me. it's been almost two weeks that i've dealt with this issue. Contacting them however wasn't very helpful because they would continue to give me the same solutions that I had previously stated don't work. One person in particular has been a little more helpful in trying to get things sorted out but this has taken so long and it's still not working. Plus the response times to my emails/replies to them are sometimes a day or two which is really inconvenient because I want this sorted out as soon as possible. Overall, the app is pretty good but customer support for me has been a pain..Version: 7.6

Update 5.2 broke appThe 5.2 update broke the app on IPhone. When you launch the app and Face ID tries to log you in, it starts a loop where the app logs you in for a split second and then reverts to the app log in screen prompting Face ID to activate again. This happens seven or eight times and then the log in screen is displayed. Ostensibly you could then sign in manually but that is if you happen to remember your user name and password which I do not because I used the strong password feature when I originally set up my account on this app which was not saved in my phones password list due to the app blocking this feature. So until there is a fix for this issue this app has been rendered useless. Clearly the people who coded the new Colorado unemployment website were also tapped to make this app inoperable as well. Why do government entities still not understand how to make intuitive and functional net mediums? The answer is a lack of beta testing and a lowest bid gets the contract mentality. Do better, we are not in the early days of the internet anymore, these types of coding errors are a direct result of incompetent creators fostered by governmental entities who have neither the knowledge nor the technical aptitude required to make informed decisions about technological viability as it relates to important government operations..Version: 5.2

Update: Can’t get through setupTook the picture of back of my DL, app just hangs. White page with “Log in” and a back arrow at the top. Seems like a good idea if/when it starts working. Update: Got through the setup. Although I got to the submit part and that’s where I’m told it doesn’t like the front Id image. So I have to repeat the whole process (not just the 1 image). Okay, 4 or 5 tries later it FINALLY takes. Pretty neat IDEA, but the not on the digital Id says it doesn’t replace the requirement for having your physical Id and registration with you. So, I guess this is Phase 1? Eventually we won’t need our cards? I set this up thinking I wouldn’t need to take my wallet everywhere because I wouldn’t need my DL. If I need to have that ANYWAY, not sure the benefits of this especially having to put in a 12 char password to access? Okay, I guess Face ID works with it..Version: 2.0

ID verification system to access records doesn’t workThis app uses a facial recognition identity verification system that requires you to take a selfie for facial ID purposes that must match up with the photo on your drivers license before you can access any records. Unfortunately, at least in my case, the system failed to recognize and match up my facial features with my drivers license, and as a result I cannot access any of my documents. I tried about 18 times with different lighting and different facial expressions to get the verification system to work, all with no success. There is no alternate means of identity verification provided, so if you run into the same issue you are out of luck and the app is worthless. Customer support for this app is essentially nonexistent — they are far too busy to answer any calls, and that is probably because this app is highly imperfect and they are very busy dealing with people who can’t get it to work. I suggest you don’t get too excited about this app and try and get your information through the CIIS public portal..Version: 4.9

Not following section 508, wcag and ios accessibility guidelines.This app cannot be used by someone who uses a screen reader or completely blind. The app ask users to scan a barcode in order to register on there Colorado ID which a blind person cannot find. There’s also no guidance of where the barcode is from the app to help a blind person be able to find the barcode and register. In addition, after logging in The app asks users to verify themselves using a selfie video which also a blind person cannot do. I am posting this review here so it’s publicly available and the state is notified about the issues..Version: 5.0

Trash app, the IT folks need to read the commentsThis app will not recognize my face when I take a selfie to verify my identity. Idk why we can’t just type in our last 4, DOB and DL number. And yes, I have tried emailing your support email, also tried using your chat options in the app. Nobody ever replies. The phone number also never picks up. Do a complete rehaul of the facial recognition. I’m not the only ones in the comments with this problem, so you should realize it’s an issue and fix it. This is the first time I have ever left a review of something and the app was so bad I felt I needed to..Version: 4.5
