✓ Great game - but…Amazing game that is incredibly easy to sink time into. My only issue is that I have encountered a game-breaking bug in one of my saves where builders are stuck adding to and removing from the stockpiles… they never actually break out of this cycle to build any of my in-progress structures. They just take resources and immediately add them back to the stockpile… indefinitely. Aside from this (albeit very annoying, game-breaking bug), I’d say it’s a masterpiece..Version: 1.0.8
✓ The game is crashingThe game won’t stop crashing every time I play it every few minutes when I get to a certain amount of progress it crashes. ✓ We need more games like this on iOS!The title says it all. Most city builders on iOS are either “tappers” or gem pushers. This game really feels like a classic PC city builder. So why 4 stars? I have hit a few of the bugs that others have mentioned and they really messed up my progress. I also have a recommendation for the Devs... please include the character’s trait in population summary list. It’s very hard once you have a lot of people to keep track of everyone’s special skills. Still, this is a very good game for those that want traditional city builds on iOS..Version: 1.0.6
✓ Great concept, controls and menus need a little tweakingFor a pocket survival game this game does a lot of things right! I’m a big fan of games that drop you in with an idea on how to get started without trying to “hold your hand” the whole time. I’ve only played up to day 45 so far; where you start seeing how much more this game has to offer in exploration. The menus used to assign the characters to different structures and roles, are little difficult to navigate. Having a pause function to stop the game definitely helps with this. When you grow your population to about 20+, managing who goes where and who does what is more challenging, when you have to cycle trough multiple filters and menus to see where they would be best suited. Having a single menu to view all of your characters strengths, equipment, status, and current role, without having to apply multiple filters or view each individual structure’s inhabitants would be much easier..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Absolutely stunning but just one thingThis is a great game to play. Graphics are great and it’s a good challenge though. There is a couple glitches but one thing is bugging me. At night when a guard dies sometimes they announce there own death. Jeff would say: “oh no, we lost Jeff!” After he dies. ✓ Developers please readJust got the game and grinded it out to day 60+ trying to build the rest of the archer towers and animal farms and more. I’ve had them placed to get built for a while. Builders only put the wood in and don’t finish it. Can’t seem to figure out why they won’t transfer iron or food into the buildings to finish it anymore. They just go to the loggers camp and say they are depositing resources all day. I am maxed out on iron and food so resources aren’t the problem. I can’t seem to find anyone else with this problem by reading other reviews or trying to look it up on google. Is there something I am missing? ✓ AmazingThis is simply an amazing game. It’s got the challenge of the first game and has added amazing 3D graphics, longer play time and easier to understand skills. There are a few things I would like in it though so here is a list of what could be fun! 1. Negative perks. While some could be positive maybe have some downsides? So brave will never wait for reinforcements and loyal won’t steal food even if they die. 2. Tactics. I have lost so many warriors to the raider dudes cause they run so far ahead, so maybe make it so they wait unless they attack something? 3. A beastpedia. Just something so newer players know what they do rather than miss an enemy or not know where to go next. Over all it’s a great game and if you replied it would be awesome!.Version: 1.0.8

✓ Great but a few bugs to work outThe game is great, vast improvement on the first. The graphics are nice, world building solid, mechanics easy to understand. The only thing keeping it from a five star review are a few bugs that I hope the fix soon. The first of which is that workers get stuck behind things and eventually either die of starvation or are killed at night. Second the workers AI could use some work worked constantly go clear across the map to get supplies or food that they can get from store houses their right next to..Version: 1.0.2
✓ Pretty cool city builder with one hilarious bugI've enjoyed the game so far but one dumb bug has frustrated me. I overextended my village. To regroup, I moved all my villagers to occupations on the center isle and destroyed my bridges. Theoretically, this should stop monsters from crossing to the main isle from the others (sure, they can pillage my stores on those isles). It would also keep my villagers patrolling and working in the middle while I recoup. BUT that isn't the case. Villagers and monsters just run across the water where the bridges used to be. So now it's just a game of attrition. I can't rebuild or protect my main isle. Eventually the monsters, will kill my village..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Very good early onFresh take on city building and unit management. Only thing that’s bugged me so far (and I know it’s still early and easily fixable) is when you bridge all 3 islands together, when nighttime comes my villagers all go and eat at the far side Hunters Lodge, not always the closest one. It doesn’t seem that big of a deal but when villagers work on the rightmost island (south-East) they walk ALL the way to the leftmost island (north-west) to eat at that Hunters Lodge before hitting the sack. The problem is that the boogeymen who pop out have a free for all attacking about 75% of my villagers before they’re able to hide in their house to sleep. Sometimes it’s ok because my guards who just woke up and wandered off to go snack usually come in the nick of time to save the helpless screaming villager, but every now and then a big momma comes out and 3 shots a villager before help can arrive. I have no idea why everyone congregates to this particular Hunters Lodge to dine (by the way it is the second constructed Lodge if that makes any difference) but it’s forced me to reboot a few times and now has me thinking about reconstructing all my huts to be near this Lodge.Version: 1.0.3
✓ ExcellentSo I was hesitant to get this game because it was £5 but when I got it I was not disappointed now I can say this is a fantastic game but it may not be everyone’s favourite game This game is literally a massive upgrade from the last one and I can say They have my recommendation The game I would say isn’t worth £5 but £3 though if u do get it you wouldn’t be disappointed either way things I found a little annoying Most buildings take an entire day to build even with 5 builders but that’s to be expected they can’t make it that easy (Edit: thanks for the response devs it really shows how devoted you are I would just like to say I’ve been playing a while now and my game is a bit laggy. ✓ Great, addictive, buggy.Great addictive little sim town survival game. Charming graphics, good gameplay mixing city builing, survival elements and a bit of tower defence. During day you build the city, and at night you need to defend it. Few bug i guess, my carpenter, level 8 doesnt do anything now and my whole village dyuing because of him... for 20+ days i keep asking carpenter to make spears for my guards but he never makes them... wood is 5/5... but he never makes them. So every night i get attacked i lose 1 or 2 guards constantly. Now all the village is dying because of this a$$#0Ie..Version: 1.0.2
✓ I enjoy the gameI like this game. Something fun to play while relaxing for evening. I’ve had game force close once one me. Also when you give visitors food/wine etc and they leave you something behind it it’s shows in the notifications and you click you can keep getting a gift they leave behind untimely setting your guards up for life. ✓ This games been keeping me up at night !It’s been a while since I’ve played something on my phone that’s captivated me for hours and I mean hours ! ✓ Fun but maybe too soonI enjoyed the first game and was very eager to pre order this one. I have been playing for a few days and have enjoyed my experience and like the settlers style gameplay, however there are a few glitches I think need to be corrected. For example I have been awaiting Nekron’s Fury for about 30 days and he still isn’t worried about attacking me (great for me as all my guards have solar armour and solar swords!) however I wasn’t expecting to wait around forever. ✓ Amazing game but needs a few fixesThis game is amazing and if I had to describe it and faster paced fallout shelter, the building is great it is a great time killer for an hour or two, this game is pretty long but it has some bugs, the first big one is all my guards disappeared the people counter says they are alive but they there names don’t pop up and I can’t do anything with them, seccond again with the guards they sometimes just stand near the body’s and don’t collect them, (if u assasign them and reassaign they pick up the body’s) and then third and finale sometimes people get stuck in the wierd storage building for metal, only way out is to scrap the building. ✓ Just one more turn...Absolutely love this game but it’s ruining my life, I can’t put it down! :) it’s the perfect Civ type game where you just want to stick around for “just one more turn...” But you can also go at your own pace. You do need to hurry a little to make sure your guards are strong enough to take on the beasts that attack at night but there’s an endless supply of unwitting recruits to fill the gaps if they’re chewed on and spat out :) The art is nice too, simple and easy to look at and I love the progression of technology. Very well paced. Perhaps as a suggestion...it would be even more awesome if, when you pinch to zoom out you could zoom out further? As it is, you have to keep scrolling to the left and right to view your growing town. It’s not a deal breaker but it is a bit of a pain :) Other than that, having no other issues with it. Massive congrats to the devs for doing an amazing job on this. A well thought out and thoroughly enjoyable game!.Version: 1.0.6
✓ Love!!! Please update more!!!I spent the best hours of quarantine a few weeks ago on this game; it’s been so long but I still think back to it. It’s so so fun. I love all the little hyper managing I get to do.. and the nights get me stressed sometimes!! But I couldn’t stop playing til it was all done. I cant wait for more updates!! ✓ Wonderful and addictive game, until the endgame. (Spoiler free)As soon as a purchased the game I was hooked. I reached day 100 on my second day of playing. Enjoying every second, a few quality of life improvements would be welcome. A better way to look at villager stats, auto equipping job required tools, and possibly a way to assign villager to homes nearer their jobs. This was until I hit, what I presume, is the endgame. Which is achieved by building a certain building and triggering an attack. Which, wiped my whole town with ease. So, not wanting to loose my progress, I exited the game and reverted to the previous day to destroy the building and rebuild it to give myself enough time to properly prepare. Only to find that the sunstone were gone. Effectively locking me out of the end. Perhaps it was my fault, I certainly wouldn’t have planned for what I have done. But, I still find it disheartening. ✓ Resource management is rightBit of a slow start and could use even basic explanations (how villagers heal, that the bridge unlocks more hits, etc) but a fun little game. Def worth five bucks if that’s what you’re looking for in reviews. Go for it! If you like this sort of game you’ll get your money’s worth. Only thing is the bigger the settlement the bigger the impact on your device. I’m on day 80+ and the game has begun devouring my battery. It is chewing through my charge faster than even the beefiest, most layer heavy files I run in my art software! ✓ Better than the first.I’m glad to see Bonfire 2 has every improvement that us players of the original wanted. I even laughed at the “somewhat of a story” that loads up with the title because I remember it was one of the first complaints about Bonfire 1, not having one. I believe neither game needs a story but the developers are obviously people pleasers. All the extra details we wanted are in this game and because of it, there’s more strategy. Choose where to place buildings, weather can affect movement, more space to build, people and buildings can be upgraded, and more. I felt like a lot of people from the first game are wondering “how much of an improvement is Bonfire 2 from Bonfire?” and I’m here to say “Bonfire 2 is an improvement on all aspects and are obviously based on customer feedback from the first Bonfire”. ✓ There’s a big bug.I’m running this on a iPad 6, and after about 1 to 5 minutes of opening the app it crashes every time, other than that the game is great, a perfect sequel to a perfect game. Edit 1: upon deleting the save file and starting a new one after restarting my iPad, the problem is fixed, now the only bug I’m experiencing is that workers get kinda stuck, it doesn’t ruin the game but it just kinda takes away from the game. For example I would build something, but when it’s finished the character would stay in the same place as if it were bugged in the object, but as soon as I build something else the bug stops til the build is finished. Other than that it’s a great game, the style of it is amazing, the pacing is amazing, and the overall quality is amazing. It’s an amazing sequel to a amazing game. Edit 2: something weird happens around day 49 or 50, on the 49th night production of anything doesn’t work, 17 of my workers starve to death when I have 2 fishermen, 2 farms, and 2 fishers..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Amazing game! Truly!I love this survival, strategy and simulation type of gam. Yes it’s really hard at first but it’s part of the strategy! If you’re having hard time playing the game just change the strategy. Learn the environment and villagers behavior. One thing though is I’ve already kill the slayer and the game kinda halt. ✓ Annoying, but brilliantThis is a brilliant game and highly enjoyable. It’s about getting resources, building and expanding, and surviving attacks through the night. I love playing this game, but it keeps crashing. I still give it a very high rating, even though it keeps crashing and I can’t immerse myself in it (as each crash breaks my concentration, and I also have to save my progress every 10 seconds so that I don’t lose it in a crash). Buying this game, and not being irritated with advertisements, is another MASSIVE advantage. ✓ A game worth the time and money.Game is great. Never been this addicted to a mobile game I rarely even play mobile games. i find my self playing it 1 to 2 hours a day its not too difficult not too easy its great and the art style is wonderful. All that being said id give it 5 stars but the game has bugs here and there but certainly less then before it also has overheating problems I’m playing on iphone X and still lags most of the times. Guards need bit more fixing they sometimes freeze when the village is under attack even infront of enemies or monsters causing them to lose health. Also i wish there was a “Grouping” system where we can sign groups of guards that way they can cover the village better and each one can go on a different route instead of having them go to the same place and by the time they reach the other side the guard tower men are already dead. ✓ Excellent game! Just a few bugs early on.This game is excellent if you’re looking for a simulation/adventure civilization! It doesn’t require lots of wasted time watching things build or spending money to speed it up. In the week that I’ve been playing, I’ve seen many of the early issues be resolved. It’s very simple in the beginning but requires a decent amount of effort and management as time goes on. There are a few minor bugs as far as villager movement goes, sometimes they’ll get stuck when completing a building or you’ll have to reassign them elsewhere before moving again. ✓ Guard response problemThis game is great but I got a minor problem it’s with the guard. the path finding and response from them A lot of of my guard keeps on go up to the forest when the tribal raid arrive and it’s getting annoying I’m losing more people from this then any other creatures and alongside the response from them how they ignore the enemy until the reach destination then they turn around and attack. ✓ Problem with minor mechanicsLove the game, best 5 bucks I've ever spent. Although there is a minor problem with some mechanics, alot of the movement with the villagers seems jumbled and sometimes even glitches out. The guards will run to the woods right after killing an intruder, leaving the others to either die or get majorly hurt. When i need to assign more guards at night to fight bigger mobs, some will glitch out near the house and never move. Lastly (that I’ve experienced) the ship cant be reloaded on food when docked back home. Thats it! Other than that the game is fabulous, a true masterpiece of base building euphoria!!.Version: 1.0.8

✓ Great game, multiple bugsThis is a great game, just wish I did not get frustrated and restart all the time. Workers constantly get stuck in place and then either starve to death or get angry and rob my stocks before leaving. If I destroy the building this usually frees them from their doom but then I have a pile of resources laying there that never get used or go away. Had a great guard but he got an extra trait, running super fast, and ran straight to bis death against a horde of raiders while his three backup guards watched from the entire settlement away. It is worse when the guards just run in circles around invaders and watch their compatriot be murdered because they will not attack or defend, just run in a circle around the invader..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Great GameReally love this game. 5* well deserved. I do have two suggestions, though. 1) On the save feature, would be nice if it asks you if you’re sure before saving. Too many times I’ve accidentally saved when I didn’t want to because my finger (or hand) was too close to the screen. On an ipad, at least, you don’t need to touch the screen. If you’re hand is too close, it registers. 2) Would be nice if you could “banish” people to remove those with unwanted traits..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Quite good with a few fixable bugs.This game is a strong sequel to the original and it has at least twenty + hours of gameplay. I can tell that it is nearly a five star game. The only issue is how the villagers seem to get stuck behind and inside of buildings. Like I said, fixable. Unfortunately, this is a survival game so every villager is critical and demolishing a building to free them is devastating. Other than that, there are many kinds of enemies and buildings to experience with an interesting world. I am having a great time. Update: the new update fixed about a quarter of the problem. Workers still get stuck. It is most noticeable in buildings of the 3x3 tile configuration. They also get stuck if buildings are touching and a new one is finished. ✓ Great Game; Strong DevsEdit: The devs really earned their five stars here. 24 hours after launch they have patched the most important bugs and 72 hours later have added improvements requested by new players. It’s rare to find a mobile game with competent, active devs and that alone makes this game worth playing. Original: This is a game I really want to give five stars but there are just too many bugs at launch. I look forward to the next patch so I can edit this review. The game is still playable and the gameplay is great. The devs clearly listened to feedback on the first game and improved in almost every aspect of the game. At $5 this game is a bargain and provides at least 20 hours of play plus replay ability. If you enjoy strategy games and city-builder/survival games, you will love this. ✓ Very addictive but please get rid of bugsAmazing game! Very addictive and interesting to play. Quite wholesome building & resources system that keeps you entertained and at times challenged (in a good way). But please please please - solve the bugs, because they are quite painful. The most annoying thing I’ve encountered so far was villagers getting stuck in one another / buildings / textures. Not sure why this happens but I’d normally occur towards late game when I had 40+ villagers. This makes the late game very difficult to play as you need to manually relocate each village to another task (this gets them moving)... Otherwise, a great game! Thank you devs:).Version: 1.0.4
✓ Enjoyable but buggyI appreciate from the other reviews that the developers are actively working out the bugs. This is a fun survivor/crafting game, and it takes a reasonable amount of time to play. I am most concerned with the endgame at the moment—there must be another bug. I built the final building and saw the cutscene, after which I summoned the final beast at night but never have seen the enemy that is supposed to come. Many game days have passed without the final enemy showing itself, and there isn’t much for me to do now..Version: 1.0.6
✓ Enjoyable but UnbalancedVery fun and you can tell a lot of care was put into making this 2nd version. The camera can be frustrating at times since it seems to move at inappropriate times, however that is nowhere near as frustrating as the some difficulty balance shortly after hitting day 100. A large enemy can wipe out 8 armored guards in a blink and then new workers do not show up quickly enough to replenish them resulting in a downward spiral that you cannot pull out of. That said it is still a very fun game. I just don’t plan on making it too far past day 100 before having to start over..Version: 2.0.2

✓ Great but some awkwardnessExcellent game, though balance could be better (e.g. you’ll often be waiting on one resource while flooded with others without trying) and some systems seem unintuitive or incomplete (e.g. no shields or bows allowed in dungeons). Important: Send a single high-intelligence villager to make trade deals on inhabited islands as the ship and entire crew will be lost forever. Select a ship again after a non-trade voyage to access the previous crew. If you like this, also check out A Dark Room which originated the genre essentially (though this game adds Settlers-style elements)..Version: 2.0.2
✓ Love this game!Probably my fave game at the mo. I loved Settlers as a kid and this is the closest I’ve seen on mobile. I wish we could occasionally have peaceful nights though. The constant attacks stress me out!.Version: 1.0.6
✓ Fantastic game, slight bugsReally enjoying playing this game, even on easy mode it can be a bit of a challenge. Rising and falling. Bit annoying that when an npc dies you can retrieve armour or weapons off them. So finally you get a good item you loose it straight away..Version: 1.0.8

✓ Great game!This game is great, it’s impressive just how good it is and it’s only been out for a month! To new people this game is a must get, it’s survival and city building in a fun and intense way. The art is incredible and honestly I’ve had loads of fun, and I the hope the creators keep updating the game to make it even more enjoyable. Also if you don’t gotta a better phone like over the iPhone 6 range it’s probably gonna be hard but anything over I’m pretty sure is fine. All the people who are hating saying that there’s glitches don’t get that the game has only been out for a month🤦♂️. ✓ Worth buying but needs better explanationsThis is a really cool game that starts off as a fun building and resource management sim. At higher levels, it gets confusing, though. For example, earlier in the game when you send your ships out, they’re all engaged in trading missions. Later, though, you suddenly find yourself in a dungeon without any way to retreat or better prepare your workers for those very different kinds of tasks. You *can* plow through blindly and learn by trial and error. However, more in-game documentation—like an info button for each building, resource or task, would make this game much, much better. The writing would also need to be made clearer at that point since what written info is available needs some significant editing. A very good effort overall with lots of replay value so definitely worth $5. To make it a truly great game, though, the devs need to give more clues to the player about how to actually play..Version: 2.0.3
✓ Has potential but has a few bugsI’m writing this after the stuck NPC patch but the AI still has some issues, workers choosing to go to food stores far away as opposed to nearby ones, also going to storehouses to get some items on a far away island when a nearby one has some available. Combat AI is pretty poor, your guards sometimes wander off in a group to kill a single wolf leaving your guard towers to get destroyed quickly. Other than that the game is what I've been wanting on iOS for a long time (a settlers-ish type game). You manage a bunch of settlers and provide them a job: woodcutter, guard, hunter, smith etc... And slowly more buildings unlock and you manage your resources as you see fit. The game lacks an in depth tutorial but I personally think its enough to get you going, just keep building the new stuff that unlocks and you can figure enough out. I personally think there needs another speed option and daytime is too short but its just personal preference. A great game regardless and I look forward to some AI improvements and future content. ✓ Very Addicting with Room to GrowI have been playing this game practically every minute for the past two days. It is very fun and it is easy to get involved. It is a very neat concept. I really really love that I am not bombarded with in app purchase ads. I really appreciate that. I agree with other reviews that talk about villagers crossing the entire island to eat food and then being attacked on their way home. That gets annoying after a while. There is also an issue with clicking on dead villagers in order to remove their items It would also be cool if you could upgrade your buildings much further. All in all, this game is very cool and I am looking forward to more updates..Version: 1.0.5
✓ Won’t stop crashing on meI absolutely love this game, everything from the mechanics to the art style, but I find it really hard to enjoy it when I can’t go a single day in the game without massive lag spikes and an eventual crash. ✓ Great game just alot of issuesFirst of all the game needs like teams of gaurds so they can already be there (but if that team finshs its side it goes to help the others) also my guards just freeze and get mowed down by the big guys its very annoying so please fix this ive lost so many to that glitch and please make it where the monsters come when all your villagers r asleep because it’s extremely annoying that they can die in 3 hits by the big boys and then having to wait for new settlers so please fix these bugs and many more thank you also im on wave 143..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Love it...but...I must start by saying that I really love this game! I play it whenever I get a chance! I am a huge fan of management games where you gather resources and craft buildings and items so this game is right up my alley. I enjoy unlocking new buildings and upgrading my weaponry to protect my people. My one gripe is that the guards seem to be setting me up for failure. When intruders I’m the boats, my guards literally run in the opposite direction which has caused my homeless villagers to be killed on several occasions. They also patrol in one clump instead of spreading out which has caused me to lose my tower guards because they take forever to come and help. This is beyond frustrating, especially when you start crafting higher quality weapons and armor. Another issue I have is that the night intruder loot disappears when the sun comes up and there is no further opportunity to get the iron and gems left behind. It wouldn’t be as frustrating if my guards didn’t all go to the same spot to get the same items and spend several precious moments just bending up and down without picking anything up. Please help! I love this game and would really like to love it more!.Version: 1.0.8
