✓ Terrible compared to Fun Golf GPSWhy on earth did Fun Golf change time this. Fun Golf was great. The presentation of scoring, the ability to see the scorecard. It was faster and easier to change/update scores. This isn’t close to Golf GPS. Very disappointed..Version: 1.4.1
✓ First day failureI am a professional golfer and my first day with my watch after spending $3700. Arrive to my first event this morning and my Tag Heuer Golf edition watch doesn’t launch on my wrist very very disappointing. I am heading into store tomorrow to find out if my $3700 was well spent as I do not expect it not to work at all for that sort of price tag..Version: 1.8.1
✓ Good app for the iphone but not for the watchThe app works well on the iphone with good graphics and overall performance BUT the app frequently loses my place on the course and does not follow me on the apple watch. tends to get stuck on one hole and constantly reverts to that. also many courses that i have played are not recognized by the app. overall, disappointing..Version: 3.0.4
✓ Save your moneyThe graphics on my watch were beautiful but the app itself is rather buggy. It has a tendency to skip to the next hole and after some work I can get it back to the correct hole but then when I go to hit my next shot it is back to the wrong hole again. They say you can get yardage to hazards and different pin locations but that only works if they are in the middle. If the pin is off to the side on a wide green you can’t get the yardage as the sighting line goes down the middle from tee to green and can’t go left and right. If you want to record the length of a shot you have to start where you hit the shot and then stop when you get to your ball, pick the club you used and then hit save all the while your friends are standing around wondering when you will hit your next shot. I don’t need to save but there is no way to cancel. Support is worthless as well. I sent 2 emails and only received back the form that says my email was received and someone would get back to me probably in 2 days. That was 9 days ago. My 6 year old Garmin S20 works way better..Version: 2.2.4
✓ Pretty App that Doesn’t PerformBought this app to use on Apple Watch. While the graphics are nice, especially the ability to scroll the full hole using the Digital Crown of the Apple Watch, I found the GPS accuracy and performance to be so bad as to render the app completely useless for any serious golfer. Regardless of whether I used the Apple Watch’s GPS exclusively, or while paired to the iPhone’s GPS, the yardages given were seldom within reasonable accuracy range (often off by more than 10 yards!) Even worse, the app would freeze or not refresh to update yardages as you moved along the course. Also, the battery drain (on both watch and phone mode) for a single round of golf is far too excessive. I read Tag’s tips and responses to all reviews posted here, and don’t need to have them ask me to contact support and then beg for a 5 star rating. The bottom line: this is a half-baked app for the Apple Watch in my opinion, based upon my actual trial runs. Perhaps it works well on Tag’s expensive golf watch, but the 1 year subscription fee for the iOS app (which I’ve already deleted) is all the cash they’ll ever get from me!.Version: 1.5.3
✓ Nice Interface but short comings with 40 USD per yearWhat I liked, 1)nice visual interface on iPhone and iwatch, 2)easy to work with, 3)fairly accurate distances. What I did not like, 1)on iwatch it kept leaving app and i had to search for it between shots and holes, 2)if I hit off the fairway it sometimes switched to the adjacent hole and i had to reset to current hole, and 3)cost of 6.99 per month or 40 dollars per year feels expensive with its short comings I mentioned before. ✓ Something happened with the last updateI have been using this app for several rounds and I loved. Today was a disaster. At first I detected a new look but after that all the distance projections were very incorrect by far. In every hole the projected distance to the hole was way short than the reality. For example, I was hitting from the 150 yards mark and the app was telling me 130 yards to the center, the first time I obey the app as usual but my shot was very short. After that every thing was a pain in the a... because I realize that a totally forget how to play using the course marks and I there was no time to look for others apps... sorry for the long reviews but I'm very disappointed with the update. It was the perfect golf gps app with low battery consuming and very accurate distance calculations..Version: 1.6

✓ Watch battery deadAs with others, Apple watch battery dead after nine holes - started with full charge. Didn't have this problem with Fungolf. Also, stroke Indexes always out of date. Asking support after the event is pointless unless you are a club golfer only. So back to the scorecard! Why can't we just update the SI's manually (was possible with fungolf) and several other apps! Overall, so far sadly not good. Finishing on a good note, maps are excellent..Version: 1.5.3
✓ Drains batterySince this app has been taken over the Fun Golf app I am now unable to complete a full round of golf as the battery dies around the 13th Hole and has not once lasted a full round. Other golf gps apps I get a full round using between 40-60% battery and so did the Fun Golf app. Although I prefer this app for its features and have paid for subscription I am disappointed with how it drains the battery.Version: 1.1
✓ UnusableI had and enjoyed Fun Golf for years. It had everything I wanted and nothing I didn’t. The Tag app tries, but comes up short. First off, when I get to a hole, my map is blank (white) with the “thinking circle”. I don’t have time for it to load before I must tee off. Other hole maps show up, just not the current hole I am on. FunGolf used to show a map of courses. Very useful when you wan to see where they are in relation to your current position. The hole map options were better as well with FunGolf. Tag may not want to make this fixes, which is fine. Please just tell me what other golf app has the functionality that FunGolf had..Version: 1.8.3
✓ Course not updated after a year and customer Svc not workingI have tried to submit this through customer service link at least ten times in the app and no progress. The Atlanta Athletic Club Riverside course was redesigned and reopened in October of 2022. It is now a 17 months later. You have the wrong gps info on it. The satellite images and the scorecard are for the redesigned course, but all of the yardages show where the greens were before the redesign. I signed up for another app and it is right and a much better experience..Version: 3.3
✓ Hole tracking is hopelessly brokenSometimes my Apple Watch app just thinks I'm playing the same hole even when I've clearly moved off that hole. By several 100 yards. The worst part is when I manually correct it, as soon as the screen goes dark it switches back to the wrong hole again. Guys, if the user goes to the trouble to FIX the hole, maybe you should figure that's right. Also... I would like a "no score" option. Seriously, I will never... NEVER use your app for scoring. ✓ Course needs updatingHi, I have just joined Stonehaven Golf Club and purchased the App to help me with the course and distances, however during my first round I found that the watch and where I was on the course differed. I checked with my playing partners who confirmed the layout has changed and some holes are now played in a different order! ✓ Worst Golf App for Apple WatchThis app works great on the IPhone 12 but not with an Apple Watch. While the app works on the watch it usually doesn’t recognize that I am paying for the premium version, what it says most times out golfing it that to get distances get the premium version. When it does work on the Apple Watch it works very well but those times are few and far between. I did try to use the app support link but it seems to focused in their own watch not the Apple Watch. ✓ Issue Since Last UpdateTo start, the reply here will be to reach out to customer service. I’ve done that, and there are no replies. Maybe the worst customer service ever. I paid $2,800 for a watch that now will not sync to the Tag golf app. It used to run just fine. Now every time I try to sync the round in my watch to the app, the round on the Tag Connected golf watch just crashes. Today I played 17 holes then opened the app to let it sync, and it only synced 6 holes, then crashed. Entire round lost. Before at any point if I open the app on my phone, it would simply sync with the last hole completed and go from there. Now, crash. Before it crashes it tries to download the course data over and over. I have the most current iOS. The tag golf app on the watch is most recent, as well as on the phone. I’ve restarted. If I could I get my money back tomorrow on this. It’s absolutely terrible..Version: 1.9.1
✓ Not acquiring locationLatest update is another step backwards as app is now not immediately acquiring location when starting a round. Never previously had the problem until recent update but now have to restart watch/app two or three times (at best) before location is found. ✓ Scoring issueThe app seems to work ok on the IWatch giving all distances to hole, hazards etc. The only issue I can see is the inability to change the scoring from ‘score to par’ to ‘gross score’ on the IWatch, even though I’ve set the iPhone app to show gross score, the IWatch won’t change and remains still showing ‘score to par’..Version: 1.5.5

So this is my story played about 10 rounds with the tag connect 41mm and it never lasted a full round with the golf app... Gave benefit of the doubt I have now used it for 5 rounds on all different settings and lucky if I get 9 holes and I’m not a slow player.... ✓ Some issuesI tried the Apple Watch app out over this past weekend. It worked very accurately for yardages, but I had a few issues with keeping score, and understanding the interface. I couldn’t reliably put scores in for prior holes - it would default to par or 2 below my entered score (I’m a 3-over typical golfer). I also had issues with the watch interface where I couldn’t scroll forward or backward for yardage. Plus, I’m unsure of the interpretation of the distance and direction curves - it seemed to be opposite of my interpretation (logleg right actual looked like left to me on the watch) Mostly worked well for me though..Version: 2.1
✓ Waste of moneyTAG Golf Watch is impossible to read outside so often need to ask someone for yardage and time of day. Also, while updates are appreciated, they have ruined more than a few rounds as nothing works as expected. Changes would be easier if the UI and UX was like Apple Watch or Apple in general. ✓ IPhone App Good, Apple Watch not soI like the app on my iphone11, but disappointed after paying the £38 extra sub for my Apple Watch 6. The refresh on the watch is simply too slow and yardages inaccurate so I find I have to refer to my iPhone for the required yardage etc anyway. So pretty much no point paying the extra. Both Apple devices are fully updated. I have tried using solely the watches GPS and also using the GPS solely off the phone which is a few yards away in my bag. I have tried over various course, still the watch is pretty much unusable. I did report it to TAG Support and got what I felt a generic response, i.e. updated your devices, reinstall the app, hardly helpful. Could be great but watch usage if poor and you will only just get round 18 holes if you start with 100% battery.Version: 2.1
✓ Hole distances all understatedJust installed the Tag Heuer Golf app and really love it. But there's one serious problem: I'm not on the course so it's displaying each hole distance from the back (white) tee to the centre of the green. In every case it is understating the distance by about 9% compared with the course card. The course in question is Southampton Golf Course, UK. The course card is in yards and the app is in meters but that in no way accounts for the discrepancy. I installed another app (Hole 19) and that uses the same distance data as the course card. I prefer your app but can you correct the data? (By the way, I can't see how to switch from meters to yards though as I said this does not account for the difference in the distance data)..Version: 2.4.3

✓ Course information incorrectThe app is excellent and better than the other golf apps I have tried with intuitive navigation and an perfect integration with the Apple Watch. The major drawback is that it is impossible to contact customer services to get the course information updated for my home course. I have tried to use the links in the app but this just returns an error message. This means that scoring data and handicap data is completely useless. If it was possible to get the course information updated then it would warrant 5 stars..Version: 3.0.3

✓ Not FunGolf anymoreWell they sold out and people are mad because of subscriptions I’m mad because of the new functionality switch. Forced to switch over and bought the half off for the year of Apple Watch played it today. Buggy and confusing as far as interface goes the watch and phone don’t sync well at all the only thing similar to FunGolf app is the map graphics. They tripled your inputs for one simple shot that the original FunGolf had. This app is horrible and contacted customer support for a refund on the upgraded app. I think it’s a five day trial period and this one lasted one day and 2 holes of golf before I just stopped trying to input every shot and just entered my score manually with no logging of distance. This app is so dumb when I entered my scores it could not even figure out that I had shots of over a mile ruining any of my other stats when it comes to long game and club length ect ect. I will update this review if customer service ever gets back to me and I will contest my purchase with my credit card company if I am charged and not refunded because I did notify them of my poor experience with their app within the trial period..Version: 1.1

✓ TerribleThis used to be a fantastic golf app when it was fun golf, but since the switch over to TAG it has fell apart. App crashes constantly and the yardages are incorrect. One of the last rounds I played had the middle of green yardage and back of green yardages as the same distance. And it was like that on every hole. My playing partner uses TAG as well and his was experiencing the same problem. On my round yesterday the app ended my round about 5 holes in and my scorecard was lost. On a precious round the app crashed somewhere on the front 9 and would crash every time I tried to reopen it, so I had to ask my playing partners for distances. I’ve used this app for years, but I just deleted it off my phone after yesterday’s debacle. TAG took a great app and messed it up for the worst. ✓ Great courses/stats- horrible user interfaceI have been trying to use this App as a paid subscriber for several courses, both with phone and/or watch. A coupe good things: it has excellent course maps and a great set of statistics. The problems is actually recording stats of any value...Trying to keep track of each hit is near impossible as I need to click record/stop for every hit and any mistake is near impossible to fix. The watch and phone show different data and don’t match: Sometimes it jumps to another hole and any GPS tracking is mangle. I’m sure this is all because I don’t understand how to use it, but there is no manual included on the app, I have searched for good set of instruction on TAG Heuer site, You Tube, etc. and found nothing but promotional videos..Version: 1.5.1
✓ Closest to the pin?I’ve been trying hard to find the best golf app that utilizes the Apple Watch for GPS position and actually shows the hole on the watch....and this is the closest that I’ve found to accomplish that. One thing missing and one bug to fix and these guys might just satisfy my wishes. First thing, functionality is great and I really just wish that I could initiate the shot measurement with my watch, instead of the phone. This is a big one that would make the use of the watch independent of the phone. You can end the shot distance recording via the watch, so I’m sure that isn’t far off. The only “gripe” that I have has been mentioned in other reviews and it keeps happening to me as well....the app keeps coming back on by itself when away from the course. ✓ Course updates/GPS problemsI have a Tag Connected (non golf edition) I recently purchased in November. After asking to update and add my local course, they were very quick to do so which I appreciate very much. However, the course 2-d map doesn’t update on my watch or phone. (On my watch it says the course can’t be displayed), I can’t get any GPS, there is no distance information on any shots, the “map” on the phone app isn’t even close to the right course. Basically the only thing I could do was plug in my scores and putts on both the phone and my watch. The handicaps/hole were incorrect but the par/hole were. Please help, would be happy to change my rating if I could get some assistance but it’s hard to get through to anyone in a timely manner..Version: 1.8.3
✓ Fungolf is way betterIt’s missing some of the important aspects of the Fungolf app such as the round recap which is shareable. It doesn’t summarize the whole round and it doesnt show the front 9 vs the back 9. It also doesnt let you change to landscape mode. Hopefully they will have updates to fix this. I thought that it will be better since TAG took over but Fungolf is definitely way better. “If it aint broken, don’t fix it”.Version: 1.0.2
✓ Nice when my course has been updatedI’ve enjoyed using the app on my ultra, A clear display even in full sunlight it has some fiddly bits with regarding what club you’ve used, sometimes it will ask what club was used you can select and confirm, but sometimes it will keep on asking. I don’t know why. The only problem is is my local course in which I am a member, changed its configuration about eight months ago and this app has not updated so I am unable to use the app which is frustrating.
