✓ A hidden gem!Two members of my family started using gps watches. Fine. I have an Apple Watch, there must be something out there. I tried several different golf apps. Many were clunky, slow, or just too expensive. This one though—it worked well. So much so that I got the annual subscription, even though I can’t golf every week during the winter. So far, I’ve had no trouble finding courses in Arizona, Harbor Springs MI, Indiana, and South Carolina. I liked the first layout—it was cleaner. The recent update took an adjustment but I figured it out. I don’t use club suggestions as they are built for men. But, I like the new driver distance tracking. (You hit, it tracks as you walk to the ball.) In preparation for this spring and summer…I bought an Apple Watch with a 45mm screen. This app was fine on 40mm watch 6, but my eyes will appreciate more landscape. Let’s just say the price (if you already have an Apple Watch) is right, no need to buy another gadget, and the app works well. It does drain battery life tho. ✓ Sweet and sour follow upI previously wrote with a 3 rating concerning the iwatch version. Since I have been using the iwatch only version it has worked great. My only issue is the battery drain to the iwatch. Typically it uses 50 to 70%. Make sure you have close to a full charge. I do not believe it is worth the $40 price for iwatch. But since I got stuck with the charge I might as well use it. But I will not renew do to the cost and battery drain..Version: 1.8.1

✓ GoodGood app. Quite user friendly. Suggestions - 1. on the post round shot-map - why can't you show the shot distances along with the white line? No idea how to check how long my shots actually were unless I'm missing something!?! 2. The auto shot tracking is weird as you enter the club used for first shot after your 2nd shot so it feels like you're a shot "behind" each time. Once a shot is detected why not allow to enter club as you're walking to your ball? 3. The yardages take a little longer to update than my friends Garmin and often require me to lower wrist and "raise-to-wake" to get it to update - even with "always-on display" set to ON..Version: 2.6.1

✓ Great app!Enjoying the iPhone and the watch app so far. For the iPhone app, 3D maps aren’t very useful without showing the elevation correctly so I feel like it’s a gimmick. I am sure a lot work went into it but not sure how useful that is. I really hope they can show accurate elevation with future update. ✓ Best free appLove this app! The 3D hole images are very useful when playing a new course. I’ve tried the Apple Watch function too but prefer my shotscope as it gives the distance to front/middle/back whereas as far as I can see the Apple Watch only gives the distance to the middle. The phone app is absolutely brilliant though and is almost always reading the same distances as my shotscope which I trust. If you measure in yards make sure you change the settings as it’s in meters as standard, took me about 6 holes of coming up short to figure that out 🙄..Version: 2.0.3

✓ Lacking some accuracyHaving recently invested in an Apple Watch and having enjoyed my Tag watch for a number of years, I decided to download the Tag golf app. I have found it relatively straight forward to use but was briefly confused on the course (Pleasington) today by the suggested distances . Upon revisiting the issue this evening, I note that the 5th and 11th holes have been transposed! Additionally, some minor alterations have been made to the course over recent years and haven’t been reflected in the app. Perhaps you could add the course to your list of those requiring attention on your next run of updates? ✓ UselessI was forced on to this app. I have been using FunGolfGPS for years and loved it. It appears Tag has bought them out. I loaded Tag Golf. Can not get it to load on watch. Also the two d view has gone on the watch and is replaced by an aerial photograph. The 2 D graphic was much easier to use. After my review someone must have done something as the next time I tried to download to my watch it all worked perfectly. I now have two D graphics as well. ✓ Good but not greatWatch app is excellent and the phone app is great to keep score on. I really like some of the features like adding multiple golfers and being able to select different parts of the course and see how far you need to go. However…the course information and maps just aren’t accurate enough. Hazards are missing in places and I’ve played courses where the layout is completely different to the app. Also pars are not correct sometimes. I’ve submitted requests to change pars on a regular course I use but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears two months later nothing has changed. ✓ Good App for watchPrice is a little steep when compared to similar priced apps that have more features. Overall the app is nice and easy to use. It’s the only app that shows the landing area of the green or fairways. This makes the yardage really clear and allows the phone to stay in the cart/bag/pocket. The addition of the satellite views is very welcome! The one area where the app can improve is the scorecard. ✓ Best Golf App for Apple WatchI wanted to use my Apple Watch as a golf yardage watch and not have to buy a separate one. Although there are many golf apps that allow you to get yardages on your Apple Watch, this app is the only one that allows you to see the whole hole on your watch! By using the Digital Crown to scroll, you can see a graphic of the hole from the green back to the tee. You can scroll to get distances, see bunkers, water, etc. You can also just get simple yardages to front, middle and center like a regular golf watch. When I am hitting my approach shots and don’t have my phone on me, the watch tells me everything I need to know. After I putt out, I can quickly and easily enter my score on the watch and it syncs to the app on the phone. Another terrific feature is that it gives you two maps on your phone - one is a neat 3D graphic of the hole with key distances notes. The other is a satellite view of the hole, with the ability to touch anywhere on the screen and see your yardages to hazards. You can switch easily between views. I love the scoring on the app - it allows you to choose how you want to keep your score - gross or net, etc. And it has lots of stats you can keep track of. It syncs seamlessly between the phone and watch. I always keep my phone in the cart and no matter how far away I am from the cart, the watch yardages always works. LOVE this app!.Version: 1.4.1

✓ Best app out there for golfI’ve been using TAG since it was called “FunGolf GPS” in 2014 and it is easily the best app for yardages out there. They’re all spot on and it actually gives a 3D map of the course. If they don’t have a course you just message support and they add it faster than you could ever imagine (I emailed on a Friday night and they had it mapped on Monday). All of my friends love it and I recommend it to anybody that asks what app to use. Honestly don’t know how it’s not the highest used, it’s so much better than 18Birdies..Version: 1.5.3

✓ First time user.I bought the newest Apple Watch series 5 gps and cellular two weeks ago... tried two other golf apps and was not thrilled. I downloaded this one and paid the $6.99 for a month as a trial period. I used it yesterday and I am very happy. I will purchase the $40 yearly. All I really want is the distance to green. ✓ Love the app! But...I have used this app for about a year. First when it was FunGolf and now as Tag Heuer Golf. I find it to be a very helpful tool. I play on a lot of different courses during the season and the app shows the course layout and the distances to hazards and greens. Since I wear my Apple Watch every day (!) I always have this app on me, charged and ready for a round anywhere! My one issue is that for some reason the app is now using up way more battery. My watch dies about midway through a round and then I need to use it on my iPhone. This didn’t happen previously (when it was FunGolf) and not sure why it’s happening now... ✓ Very Impressive AppAs part of my 2021 fitness plan I was looking for a golf GPS app for my Apple Watch. I already use two Garmin golf GPS devices, neither of which log my activity so wanted to consolidate (if workable) onto my Apple watch. Whilst browsing the options the TAG app looked interesting. Their watches are of excellent quality and the app designed for their smart watch had to be to equally good. I took out a three day trail and played my first round on day one of the trial. Came home that afternoon and bought a years subscription! Impressive interface and accuracy. The hole played was displayed each time I looked for advice. No need to refresh. ✓ Best Golf App for Apple WatchI’ve tried almost all the golf apps and place a priority on how they perform on the Apple Watch as I don’t like to take my phone out during a round to score or see how the hole looks. Being able to see a 2d image of the full hole on your watch is really useful and the interface is what really makes it stand out compared to other golf apps. My main recommendation would be to have a plays like feature for distances depending on slope, elevation, wind etc.. (this is quite a common feature on a lot of other golfing apps). Another useful feature may be to have a scramble mode for the scoring options. But overall it’s a great app and with a few additions it would be perfect..Version: 2.4.1
✓ Great App for golfUpdate- new updates are great. I’ve used this app for many rounds and love it. Favorite and most used app on my watch. Earlier post: I used to use Fun Golf on my Apple Watch 4, now use Tag Heuer Golf App. Basically the same app but with a different presentation of stats. I Kind of like the new stats better. Courses, distances, shot tracking, scoring all work flawlessly for me. Battery usage the same. Can easily get in 18 holes using watch GPS. A 5 hour round will use about 70% of the battery so try to have a full charge. An improvement I would like is to have is a stat page for all the recorded shots. Currently it just shows for each round. Please keep updating and supporting the Apple Watch. To me it’s the best golf app for Apple watches..Version: 1.1

Was hesitant as it seems designed as a marketing bridge to their own watch, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see how wonderfully it pairs with the Apple Watch and how brilliantly designed the iPhone app is. Clean design, very few if any bugs, data is accurate, and most importantly, stays out of my way on the course. Everything I need is on my watch, the only time I check my phone is when I'm not familiar with a course and need to plan the hole more carefully. My wish list: to be able to see a list of the tracked shots of a particular club when I select it under “My clubs”. ✓ How change tee selection on the Apple Watch app?I love this app! Yet one more feature escapes me! The app on Apple Watch does not seem to have the option to select between tees. It always defaults to “White Tees” when I play the “Blue Tees”. Is there any way to select tee used on the Apple Watch. Please advise as it would make scoring more accurate.Version: 1.5.3
✓ Good app just a few things could make it greatAs an amateur golfer this app does just about everything I would like it to do. Does take sometimes take a few goes to go my watch but my last outing I noticed that if you press and hold the watch face it will let you refresh so hopefully next time that will do it..Version: 1.9.2
✓ Phone AppCan I use the Tag Heyerdahl phone app if I don’t have the Tag Heuer golf watch and if so is there a cost? Star rating because it looks good but I haven’t tried to use it yet but couldn’t send my query without rating..Version: 1.5.1
✓ Almost awesomeThere are 2 things keeping me from giving this app 5 stars. 1. I can’t change the score from my Apple Watch due to what seems to be a bug. 2. There should be a record button on the Apple Watch screen to instantly start recording the shot. ✓ Great Golf AppI rarely write reviews for things, almost never for apps. I feel impelled to do so. This is a great app, runs very smooth, and very accurate. I don’t use a range finder and most times my yardage is with in a couple of yards of the those with a range finder. ( A couple of yards is more than good enough for my level) The watch app is fantastic and better than any other watch app, no comparison. Great visuals directly on your wrist. If I was to ask for anything it would be Slope Adjustment to have a better understanding of how yardage is impacted by elevation change. but no other gps app offers that as well.....Version: 1.6
