✓ Terrific train game!!I played this game for many years on my PC. I like the convenience of playing the game on my IPAD. The game runs flawlessly on my IPAD 6 with 128K memory. I Appreciate buying the game completely upfront with no in app purchases necessary to advance. Play the game as much as I want with each scenario and no additional purchases necessary to win or complete the scenario! Having said that I would gladly pay for additional map/scenario packages! Are there any plans to offer additional map packages? I hope so!.Version: 1.3
✓ Best Train Sim! No In App PurchasesThis is the real deal. This game is enjoying and challenging. Different objectives for different maps that keep it interesting and make you alter your strategy. There are MANY train sims in the App Store but almost all of them are timed sequences that you can bypass if you plonk down cash. There are no in app purchases in this Railroad Tycoon just pure fun..Version: 1.3

✓ Just like the old daysIf you remember this from when it came out on PC, the port is faithful and plays just the same. The trains and maps look great and the interface is fine once you figure out where everything is. It’s a fun, well designed game, but if what you’re looking for is a model train set, be forewarned. There is a sandbox mode, but the main game involves a lot more than laying tracks, choosing engines, and routing cargo. Stock prices, patents, changing markets, and cutthroat competitors all must be managed. For me that business layer is too prominent and saps some of the joy out of running your railroad. But not enough to keep me from recommending this if the premise sounds appealing. A lot of train joy still shines through..Version: 1.3

✓ Amazing game and addictive!Buy and play, the way games used to be, the way game should be! In 1991 while attending college (yeah I’m that old) I still remember shopping in Comp USA for a new game and said “this looks interesting”, it was Civilization for DOS, the first one, and I got hooked and my friends too! It was $40, equivalent to $90 in 2023, and I went on to buy Colonization but it was just ok. That was all a lot of money back then and I never chanced Railroad Tycoon…never played it on the PC, but I’m hooked on this iPad game with a 12” screen! Amazing graphics and port of the game! Well worth the $14 or whatever it was to play endlessly! It does take some learning, I started getting frustrated at first because it was not completely intuitive to me and no good tutorial, but if you to go help there is a guide that will take you to a series of short YouTube videos. That was the ticket to Railroad Tycoon! (No pun intended) Get it! Watch the videos to learn, and have fun! Well worth it!.Version: 1.3
✓ Simply the best ever!My goodness, I’m so nostalgic! Used to play this game for hours and hours on PC listening to some good music in 2008/2009. It’s exactly how I remember it! All the elements are there. One of my favorite PC games of all time. I’m so happy. To see it on iPad. It can be complicated at first, but, once you get the feel for all the elements it’s so much fun and you want to keep going. Buying industries, patents, winning auctions, hostile take overs, upgrades, improving efficiency’s, customizing the trains, it’s all there! No in app purchases! The full game and it’ll have you hooked for hours!.Version: 1.3

✓ The last railroad tycoonI remember when this game came out on PC. It was the last installment of the Railroad Tycoon series. It is just like I remember and plays really well on iPad. Lots of fun. My only complaint about this game, and it’s a complaint I had when it originally came out, is the laughably tiny maps. It takes no time to conquer the map, especially with 3 players. I don’t know why that change was made from the large maps of older games. I wish there were more Railroad Tycoon and Transport Tycoon games!.Version: 1.3
