✓ Surveys are a jokeThey want you take surveys to earn coin, no problem, easy & practical. What they don’t tell you is, when you take say, a 6 minute survey, you’re 8 minutes, and 25 or so questions, into the survey, it abruptly ends and you get NOTHING, says you’re not qualified for this survey. Other times it may give you 20 coins for trying. A majority of the attempts, you get NOTHING! A TOTAL WASTE OF VALUABLE TIME! This has literally happened to me over 50% of my survey attempts. I’d have well over 100,000 more coins than I actually have, if the app worked he way they say it does. They’re eager to engage you in the option to upgrade, however, their ability to fairly allow you to obtain free coins is ridiculous! Aside from that, I think it’s pretty awesome & fun..Version: 2.9.2
✓ XyoWould love to see people earning xyo while walking and without opening the app after setup( you can require it but make it a week or a month at most. Sweatcoin requires login claim every 2 months even better. I’m sorry I doubted Sweatcoin but it’s definitely one of the basic essential features I like. As more of these apps become a thing I can see myself focusing on the ones with these essential functions privacy. Secure and able to use even while we have vpn on. Xyo is my second favorite crypto generator. I don’t know what app is more passive then the Sweatcoin jars staking and generates free crypto at the same time. ✓ Sadly just not worth itHaving fully embraced the app and purchased the lite/pro subscription I was sure the app would be worthwhile, given that your geomining was supposed to be multiplied 36x in effect, plus a myriad of other bonuses. Sadly this did not turn out to be the case. Despite going out for a long walk / run most days, and running the app whilst driving, the sad fact is the numbers simply just don’t stack up. You’d be much better off just buying the rewards (Xbox, AirPods etc), as it’d be cheaper and quicker than trying to acquire them through the app..Version: 2.3.1

✓ Not really worth it honest reviewAfter at least three weeks of this app. Here’s a honest review. First off you might as well mine for real cryptocurrency. The mining only mines such a small amount even with the extra paid subscription. The amount you mine is not worth the prizes you can redeem the coins for. Mining for bitcoin or any cryptocurrency with real value is better than this app. Even with the extra multiplier and the sentinmals, they gain more money from you through the subscriptions than you will ever make on trying to redeem for the bitcoin. With the subscriptions you can possibly make an average of 7000-7700 coins in a week. The bitcoin in 485,000 to get 0.025 (265 cad). The bottom line is you don’t make money, and the amount of money the company makes is far more than the amount offered in cryptocurrency. DO NOT GET OR PAY FOR ANY SUBSCRIPTIONS. ✓ Interesting conceptSo coin mining is roughly between 0.01 to 0.04 coins every time.. I’m not sure but it looks like roughly 2 minute refresh on the same space on the basic plan.. so to earn the roughly 500k coins required for 0.025 bitcoin it would take around 63 years of leaving the app open 24/7. Definitely not a quick money making scheme for anyone but themselves. Even as a pro user it would take a very very long time and dedication. Not worth it..Version: 2.3.5
✓ Terrible accessibilityAs a user with low vision that relies on accessibility by using voiceover, this app performs terrible. It is impossible to navigate to many of the different buttons on the screen. The accessibility needs to be addressed. It seems with each update, buttons are moved and it’s very difficult to navigate the app with low vision. As an example you cannot activate the buttons using voiceover to complete surveys. You can’t even activate the button to manually start the morning process. Thankfully I can use the zoom accessibility feature on the iPhone to enlarge the screen and find these buttons. I understand that app development is not typically looked into very well when it comes to persons with less than the best vision. I really wish you guys would work on that..Version: 2.6.3

✓ YOU ARE NOT MINING COINGThey change the amount of xyo you can redeem for the coin you worked so hard to collect and drive for and all the gas you spent for driving. A few days ago 10k coins could be used to redeem 153 xyo now 10k coins can be used to redeem 126xyo. I know the more Coin you redeem in bulk you do earn a slight more XYO for your bulk coin redeems but it’s minuscule like only 15-20 more coins whoopty ? Before 153 xyo was trading at .027 cents Now it’s trading for about .036 cents Any one could have saved there time, gas at the pump, phone data if you just used all that money to buy xyo directly at the market. On top of that you have to pay 35 dollars to get any good value out the app. Why not just buy the coins from the market. And you really have to drive more than a Uber or Lyft or dasher would drive than to make any kind of compensation for doing this work. You will have to drive and make 10k in app coins to convert that into 126 xyo which will trade to about 4.54 dollars. And it’s not very easy to do this in a day. Because the app has to be open to even mine geo squares. Sure the bot kind of does this but compared to having the app open and closed we are talking about a 90 % loss. This app also steals your data for there rigging operation or something because I have very good data with 5g and this this slows everything down even when I have all bars. ✓ Buggy and UnsatisfyingMy mom had me download this app because she invested in their geomining kit. They are supposedly well funded and their project is backed by top investors. First of all, the sentinels seem to provide no real effect to coin collection. We have several sentinels on and placed around the city (because of various work places) but no significant change in coin collection has been detected. The app will tell you that sentinels are detected however. Second of all, there were no instructions online or in the box for the kit; I had to figure out how to set everything up based on the available general knowledge. I contacted customer support several times, but I was consistently redirected to the same general resources I have reviewed repeatedly already trying to find an answer to my questions. I read each article to the last word, yet still my questions remained unanswered after clarifying specifically in different ways. Third, the app itself only collects when the app is open. This wastes both battery and data, so if you think you are making money I believe you are sorely mistaken. You require 10,000 coins before you can make your first cash transaction, and my mom has had it open literally every day on her way to work for over a month. Finally, we just discovered some form of bug today; my mother had collected over 7000 coins now and was very proud. But today, she opened the app and all her coins disappeared. Basically, she has to start from scratch. For those that have rated this app 5 stars, please explain to me why you have rated this app this way and how this investment was actually worth all the money my mother has put into this project..Version: 1.9.5

✓ Don’t believe all the hype...I’m giving this app a try it’s been three weeks now and I’m still on the fence if I want to keep going forward. I have been keeping track off my background Geomining as I feel like it’s not running in the background. As of lately I been keeping the app running on the main screen one day and not the other where ever I go to see if there’s a difference and so far there is. I collect more coins if I don’t lock my screen. So when I’m home at night I keep it that way and when I travel I do the same when possible. Running in background I notice at times when I log on I get hardly anything and sometimes nothing get added to my total. ✓ Great potential, but needs more.I’ve been geomining for a couple days. It took me a while to jump on the bandwagon. I like to research everything before I jump into it. I really like what XYO is doing. I’d go with a higher rating, but the app lacks in a couple areas which I’m sure will happen over time. One major thing the Coin app needs is some type of Low Power mode. Like any GPS based application it drains the battery of a phone extremely quick. If a low power mode was implemented it’d help. Another thing I noticed is while it will track location it doesn’t do anything else while running in the background. Most of the time I have the coin app up while walking or driving or any other occasion you can think of, but there are times when I need to use an actual gps for directions to a place. Allowing the app to mine while running in the background would be an absolute plus. I’m waiting on my sentinel to arrive so I have no personal experience with the interactions of adding that device, but I’ve heard good things. I was disappointed because I was intrigued by the concept but after using it I saw that I needed to remember when to turn the app on, walk slower than ususally, change routes every day, charging became a necessity during the day in order to get few bucks in a month’s work. ✓ Do Not Waste Time on the Games with AdGemOverall I’ve enjoyed COIN and it’s fun to mine while doing everyday things. However, dealing with AdGem has completely ruined the experience and my perception of COIN. I already knew the games/surveys were a little sketchy and it was fine. But lately every game I invest time and money into has not been compensated. AdGem is nearly impossible to get ahold of and the support option within the COIN app does not always work. The COIN team tells you to go to AdGem, but then AdGem will just send you endless automated emails saying you have to create a ticket within COIN. Even then, if you manage to get help, they say give it 14 days and give you absolutely no way to reach back out when that 14 days is up with no reward. The fact the COIN app partners with these ridiculous companies that just waste your time and money is beyond frustrating..Version: 3.1.5

✓ Great in theoryI am giving this app 2 stars because of how buggy their app is. While I have made money with this app, their app has gotten worse over time with it crashing and not being able to keep up with the driving that I do. Unfortunately, I am out over 100 miles of driving just from the last week. Maybe this company will focus on the main idea of geominig and forget the rest until the app is working correctly with the geomining. Every penny counts with me and yet, this app wants to freeze and/or crash while I am driving. I have done everything at my end to make sure this doesn’t happen, but yet it still occurs. ✓ Great productAside from the bitcoin being next to worthless, I can’t complain. The only thing that’d make it better is being able to actually come out ahead in the geoclaim. Every time I try it, I never get what I put into it. Came close once, but even when you are in 1st place you don’t come out ahead. So I quit using that. It’s just throwing away the coin you took forever earning. Using the free account with a sentinel you can get between .20 and .05 per mine. With the lowest paid account, ($25) a month, you get between 0.6 and 10 per mine and you get a giant claim way more often. You need 10,000 to cash out.. using free with Sentinel it took me 4 months doing it every day to and from work to get 10,000 I drive around 15 miles each way. I tried the lowest paid account and at 2 and 1/2 weeks in, I collected about 20,000 so I’m estimating 30,000 in 1 month. At the current rate $30,000 is only worth $4 to $5. Still not worth it. Although you can use the coin to buy swag at a better than exchange rate. An item that would be $25 or so would cost you about 30,000 coin, so that’s probably what I’ll use it for then cancel my paid account after the month is up. ✓ I like the ideaThe idea is decent, if nothing more than for a passive way to make a small amount of money. I bought a sentinel, and it makes a significant difference in your mine progress speed. I was very interested in the bridge, but after trying to find info on it, was unable. At the time I started mining (a few months back) the website offered nearly zero information on this whole geomining from your phone idea, which was the reason I bought one sentinel off eBay as opposed to the whole kit from them. I do not pay for the subscription for the same reason, no real info to be found that shows the benefit. ✓ Great app kind of.I have been messing around with this app for a couple months now. First only the free part of the app then I paid for a membership. I think the app is a great way to learn about and earn crypto. I have recommended this app to multiple people especially people who drive a lot, deliver or drive trucks. My problem with the app is in the survey part. There are multiple times I have started a survey finished 50-95% of the survey and then I’m told I don’t qualify for the survey and I receive no coins at all. That is a massive scam. When you answer 90% of a survey they clearly already received all the information they needed for the survey. For you not to receive anything after spending a half hour to and hour on a survey is trash. Also there are surveys that ask a ton of questions BEFORE the survey. It will then tell you great your perfect for the survey then you get to the survey and it says sorry you don’t qualify!!!! How exactly is that possible? And then again no coins at all. The survey part needs to be fixed. Otherwise so far the app seems great. Oh ya one other problem I my uses the app also. Hooked up an ERC-20 wallet to get rewards. She has never received the rewards. The app also doesn’t consider coinbases DeFi wallet an EEC-20 wallet which is odd seeing it holds ERC-20 coins. They will send you coins to your coinbase app but not the wallet? ✓ Beware of these scammersThe app is fine but beware the company behind it. On a special “only pay shipping” offer they signed me up for membership, never told me I was signed up and then billed my credit card $38 a month for about ten months! No monthly statements no receipts, just stealth charges. Their refund policy is non existent so buyer beware. If you are giving them financial information then check and double check your credit card bills! Developer has responded to my review offering to look into this “problem I experienced”. Before leaving my review I spent around two hours on the phone with these people but they insisted they couldn’t give a full refund due to their accounting policy. I have made phone calls and sent emails and the best I got was a refund of two months out of ten. Credit card company got me four more months refund because I disputed charges and coin did not respond to their enquiry so I’m still out four months at $38 a month. Look at the number of reviews all saying they have been ripped off doing business with these people and how poorly the company has treated them. Run away from these sharks. ✓ Cannot Login to App/ Login Button hiddenIt seems a recent update to the app has changed the layout of the app to where you cannot see the bottom of the screen within the app. On the main page, you’ll notice that the “mapbox” bar is now almost entirely cut off at the bottom. But what’s far more frustrating is that you cannot login to the app at all! When you go to sign in you’re able to enter email address and click the red “Next” buttom at the bottom of the screen, but then a pop up window opens which is is smaller in size than the page you were just on (looking at the top of the screen, you’ll notice that the new window doesn’t not line up perfectly with the previous window). So when you enter your passcode you cannot access the red “Login” button at the bottom of the screen. It’s totally cut out of the picture. You can swipe up on your phone and see just a tiny piece of the red “Login” button (so you know it’s there), but you cannot physically touch the button to login. So now I’ve been totally locked out of the Coin app and cannot mine or redeem my XYO holdings. Very frustrating. I loved the app until now. My premium membership renews this weekend so I had to go ahead and cancel that. I sure hope Coin gets this resolved quickly so I can get back to mining. ✓ Love / Hate relationshipI’ve been mining with COIN app for about 53 days. I started with the Pro account ($34) and a Sentinel x card ($12). It was fun until I wanted to redeem my coins. There are restrictions with the amount of coins you are allowed to redeem (amount of coins and wait time between requests). I also downloaded games from the App Store and completed levels in order to receive COINS. This part is done through a third party (AdGem) and their response time is not great. They take 7 business days to reply, only to ask another question or deny requests, one having to resubmit another ticket request, and then wait another 7 business days for a response where they ask for more information. Because of these reasons, I decided not to renew my pro account and only kept the basic. However, it is not worth the amount put in with the basic account. And that is me driving an average of 4 hours daily and using the app. Hopefully they will be able to fix some of these things down the road..Version: 2.8.7

✓ Extremely overpriced!!I’ve done the math 4 times and clearly you paying them to gather your data. I think this could be a great thing. Lower the cost if you ever want this to more than a penny coin and allow us to swap our coin at a lower amount than 10k. ✓ Surveys stop paying rewardsGreat concept for an app. More than happy to share location data for a reward. My crypto exchange lists XYO so I do not doubt the legitimacy of it. However, it becomes pretty clear early on that the primary source of ‘coin’ earnings come from either paying to upgrade your account or via surveys. The initial 3 surveys I completed paid good rewards, and rightly so seeing as I spent 20+ minutes on each, genuinely answering questions and taking my time. The “geoclaim” feature costs way more than you get back, even in city’s like Washington DC. The “rewarded play” feature is a scam: the reward amount will drop significantly by the time you claim it and you’ll be denied the reward by the poorly reviewed company (adgem) that runs the offerwall. Geomining working well, but the amount of xyo you get back is dropping significantly by the day due to increasing exchange rates. Don’t expect high gains, I drove 4000mi in 3 weeks with two phones running at once with a sentinel and had about 50k in coin; maybe $50-60 worth, not subtracting the cost of the sentinel and pro account. ✓ Not Very ProfitableSo far a month into testing this app, and the return on my time investment is pretty much nil. In order to get decent gains in their make believe tokens that you can later trade for XYO or merch, you have to buy their sentinel keychain and upgrade to their pro account. I calculate that it will take me 5-6 months to break even if I purchase those items. Also, I have to dump a lot of time playing mini games, taking surveys, going on scavenger hunts or watching ads. Since I mine ETH, it’s probably easy for me to say the gains aren’t there. However there are other options to gain crypto that requires little to no work. Try CryptoTab as an alternative. You don’t have to do much to earn Bitcoin other than keep your browser open on your phone. You can also string other smartphones together or use your pc power to increase hash rates (you don’t need a graphics card). It’s not a ton of Bitcoin you’ll earn, but you hardly have to do anything to earn it - and it doesn’t cost anything but battery power on your phone. I immediately found the subscription in my account’s web portal, and deactivated the recurring billing. If others noticed this, they would’ve gotten it without paying for the subscription. But it doesn’t end there. I recently made a discovery that XY Labs is using Private APIs in their COIN app to circumvent the iOS System Volume features. On speakerphone? Others may hear the ads. Trying to use Apple’s background sounds accessibility feature to sleep through the ads? The app’s Private APIs won’t let you do that, and they force the ads to play louder than the background sounds. Now don’t get me wrong, but I love this geo-mining concept. (I’m trying to save for a Nintendo Switch OLED Model, by the way.) The only problem is that the noisy ads have deprived me several days of sleep, which is why I’d wish they would stop using the Private APIs in favor of Public APIs, which are the only APIs allowed in iOS apps.
