✓ Good and bad please get a dev to see thisThe game is brilliant but the only down side is the lobbies I’m in are filled with bots or maybe the game is so slow pace it feels like the people in it are bots because it’s take for ever to do something and they probably forget so my point is get rid of bots I want to play against real people and make the game a bit more fast pace.Version: 0.81

✓ Pay To Win Ruins a Good GameThe game itself would be a 4.5/5 for me if it wasn’t for the uncapped pay to win. Unless you are playing on the smallest map you are guaranteed multiple players who will dump 100s into the round. Accessing buildings and units many days before you. And will have 80 planes before you can produce one, which can only really be countered by other planes leaving you no chance. Once day 8 hits and people can start buying factories, it doesn’t matter how far ahead you are. The only strategy is to hope you joined a coalition with one of the people who will pay more than the other people. Just adding a daily limit to the amount of money people could spend would give people who won’t dump a few hundred dollars a realistic chance..Version: 0.131
✓ The Gold Spammers & Card System is Killing the StrategyThis can be a wonderful game! It was until the new card system was implemented… now the strategy went out of the window… you can spam units from anywhere and whenever you want, lacking the needed realism that can make this one of the best games of its kind out there… And although we all know that people spending in Gold is necessary, there should be a better handling of this, limiting its use a little bit, so the strategy is not that affected… one example is the “contested province” fix, where users can’t use gold in a province with enemy troops in it’s territory… Hope it gets better so I can improve the rating!.Version: 0.160
✓ Cool strategic game, but no freedomSupremacy is an incredible game that outcompetes many others in this genre. I appreciate the strategic depth in the game which is truly commendable. I want to say that Supremacy 1914 offers a wide range of captivating game modes. And it does, except not really. While these game modes offer a diverse gameplay experience, i find that what many players are missing is the freedom to join a game to their likings. Events pop up now and then but never the ones they want to play or have time to play. Me and my friends love speed rounds (gold rush, rush for europe). In fact we only play these game modes. This means we are limited to a few scenarios and thus we either have to play a tutorial game and are at a huge troop disadvantage or we wait months for a new speed event. Me and a lot of other people want to be able to play/create a x 4 or x 6 world game or europe map. Not many people have time to play a 4 month game or wait 12 days for a battleship..Version: 0.135

✓ Ads are ridiculousI don’t think I’ve ever rated an app one star or deleted one out of anger but this takes the cake. The game itself is a fun game. however the ads are actually infuriating, coming from someone who doesn’t usually care about ads. When you finish a round it gives you an option to watch ads for extra rewards or continue, however if you click continue you are forced to watch an ad anyway. So either way you’re watching an ad after your round. Secondly, in the MIDDLE of playing your round, it asks you if you would like to upgrade your units by watching an ad, it says ok, but no option to decline. And clicking everywhere else on the screen automatically chooses okay, meaning you HAVE to watch an ad yet again. The ads are infuriating, don’t bother wasting your time where you’re watching more ads than playing the game..Version: 0.133
✓ Too easily boughtThe outsize influence of Goldmark ruins an otherwise great game in Supremacy 1914. Goldmark is the premium currency you can only get by watching ads, taking quizzes/surveys, buying/subscribing to products, or outright just buying it with your money outside the game. There are big spenders that make it nearly impossible to succeed unless you are spending ordinate amounts of money to get this goldmark and funnel it into your production in the game. The alternative is to spend inordinate amounts of time taking surveys, which is highly ineffective because the survey companies often say you’re not a good match for the survey and don’t give you the goldmark you have earned even after up to half an hour taking the survey. Who can feel good about winning this way? It doesn’t feel good to lose because you refuse to g along with this greedy scheme either. Unless they get rid of goldmark, I cannot recommend this game..Version: 0.151
✓ How to buy prestigeAnd to many of the players in this game thats exactly what they do. In game purchases dominate the game to the extent that skillful play is not rewarded. For players on a budget its an impossible game. I have played many games and reached a respectable ranking without buying gold, but there are just so many players who think buying victory makes them good players. The ranking system within the game takes no account of what players spend to win so those with money can buy there way up the ladder and its killing the game. Also once a big spender is identified lots of players simply drop out leaving the game with just a few holdouts who spend the rest of the gaming mopping up the vacant lands. Like a lot of strategy war games, there are a few who seem happy to sink hundreds of dollars in to conquer everyone as soon as possible, maybe have the game split into levels, so everyone is competing on a level playing field otherwise not much fun when you spend a little bit to speed up buildings and come back later to find all has been destroyed and most of your map area taken over by someone dominating half the map..Version: 0.141
✓ Used to be 5 stars…This is my favorite game of all time, by far. However, it seems BITRO wants to ruin it. Me and 4 of my friends are considering deleting the app. I was at one point a paying member. The first game I played I was a country with 10 provinces and 10 troops in them each. I also had a cannon. It’s was my first game and I was learning to play and after almost losing multiple times, I ended in 2nd place. That, is simply not the case anymore. Suddenly after months of playing, Newbies are receiving 200 troops and a cannon. Being outnumbers 2 to 1 and fighting ranged units that aren’t even accessible until Day 12 is not just frustrating. Even on the occasion I do beat one newbie, I am so weak I am then taken over by another. There is no way to overcome this. Please fix this and go back to starting everyone even. ✓ Was enjoying until I was robbedI had 11 planes that cost me £75 real money to get resources to make them , speed up and keep healing, they was useful and I had them at full health and sent them to attack 3 infantry , when they arrived 6 instantly changed to the dead state , I had no field report of them getting destroyed, they just glitched to dead, then the remaining planes was frozen in place , unable to move to a airfield to do another attack run , just frozen there until they got killed.Version: 0.83
✓ Adequate strategy game. Serious pay to win issueOriginally played back in 2014 on the pc so I get it for mobile a new months ago and I got put in a tutorial lobby. It Was a blast where me and a french guy joined forces and we won convincingly. Beyond playing a tutorial round with new players, if you play a lobby with regulars you’ll get at least one person in every round who will use gold mark to cut out waiting times or acquire anything else they need. I just got out of a round and had another player messaging me saying he spent over 160 pounds on gold mark to fully upgrade two provinces, build rail guns, bombers and battleships, buy resources, destroy my industry and cut out waiting times all in the space of 10 minutes all because I attacked him. Now to upgrade two provinces to full capacity without cutting the wait and without weapon production would take 3+ weeks playing legit. There should be a limit to how much gold mark you can spend in one game. That would be a start to curb the pay to win advantage. My advice is to stay in the tutorial lobbies and just play with noobs and bots so there is less likely somebody using gold mark, unless you have a stacked wallet and can afford to compete with the person you will eventually bump into and then it becomes a battle of who can spend the most cash..Version: 0.44

✓ Full of bugsSpent months and hundreds of pound on this game yet it’s full of bugs and glitches. Probably the most annoying feature is it will log you out every couple of hours. Mostly not but if you click the small log in button when you launch the app and accidentally click start new game it will create you a whole new account while making it impossible to log out and in. It’s genuinely a good game and you don’t have to pay to win at all, if you want the VIP benefits you just have to watch some ads which is a little annoying but definitely beats paying for it. It’s a good strategy and resource management game. But I’m only giving it three stars because it has some serious balancing issues. I had four armored car brigades and twenty-six infantry brigades attack a level two fortress with only five infantry brigades garrison it and my army struggled so much to break through despite my overwhelming advantage in fire and man power. I’ve had to grind my teeth out trying to take over provinces with just level one or two fortresses. I would understand if it was a level four or five fortress but level two? It’s a bit ridiculous and begs the question of why even waste resources on armored cars? They don’t seem to do much other than to look nice and scary. It’s still a good game! ✓ I had fun the first map.I loved the first game. I have done nothing really different in my first game play to my latter matches . However in all subsequent plays I lost. Not to other players, just to the game. I will have 30 territories with hundreds of troops and then I will lose a few with all my troops in them do to revelation. And a then few more and a few more. Now your down to 5 territories and just 20 troops. No reason my why your moral goes down. Just keep going down. BUT if you would like to spend in-game currency, you can buy back the moral loss. And keep your territory’s and units. However if you do not wish to spend REAL MOMEY to fix the issue you just keep losing and losing and losing with no explanation. I have also played maps were people start out with cannons. This is days before they will become available to you. Not sure how as I have never started with one. Again no explanation why he gets to start with a cannon and just auto win over you. My guess is it’s money related. Nothing like paying to beat AI. And their maths make no sense. I have 60 units you have 20. You have 0 defensive bonuses. Our heaths are comparable per unit. I attack you, you lose 6 units. You attack back I lose 5? 60 units x 4.5 attack per unit = 270. yet some how of the 220 hp you have you still have 178. Ended up losing 9 to their 20..Version: 0.138

✓ Another pay to win scamThis is another pay to win garbage game. There is no possible way to keep your economy healthy, especially after you initially expand and each province you capture requires so many more resources. At that point you have to capture more provinces to offset the cost of the the ones you captured before, and the cycle continues. But then your troops will lose morale because you never have enough resources (grain especially) so they become weak and ineffective. In one game I built up an army of 162 troops without spending real money, and then somehow they were all killed trying to capture a single province! Then for some reason it doesn’t tell you how many enemies there are, even when you have started fighting them?? What is the logic behind this? On top of that, the wait times are ridiculous. All of this is set up so that you spend money to speed things up or to improve your troops health or to buy resources. If you want to dump real money into it, you can win. ✓ I love this game, but it’s plagued by pay to winI love this game. I’ve been obsessed with it since I started playing at the beginning of the year. But once you start playing with some more veteran players it just becomes who can out pay the other. No other strategy involved. California can expand much faster with the resources they have and much quicker than the east coast. ✓ I love/hate thisI really enjoyed this game. It’s easy to understand and easy to learn to play. Requires some strategy but not overdone. It’s the perfect game to play when you have a little free time on your phone every few hours. Unfortunately I deleted it right before I won my first game. It gives a winning condition of 1000 points, but they do not tell you that there is a time limit to get there. I spent weeks meticulously building a strong army and strategizing how to slowly conquer the map and get my points, only to have a timer appear telling me that my game was about to end. I had to search Reddit forums to see what was happening because the actual game doesn’t explain it. Due to this and a few other features it lacked that made the game unplayable to me, I deleted it..Version: 0.158
✓ Newest update: now pay to playThe newest update stripped away the mantra “watch ads for premium account time.” Which was tolerable and gave us access to some goldmarks and premium time. Now players are forced to pay $6/month+ to enjoy the perks. Those perks are very make/break - free recruitment buildings, rally points, building queues, multiple engagement options for artillery/battleships/etc. Bytro, I can only imagine someone is getting money hungry and hopes to force more players to pay for these upgrades in cash instead of the money you already made from us watching ads. I hope you are prepared for the opposite. A strong loss in active players who aren’t willing to pay and get fed up with the obstacles that are now in place. It could go either way. A line has been drawn. I for one, will continue to try and play. Give you time to come around and balance this better. I will not wait for a long time though. ✓ Ruined by pay to winWas really enjoying this for the first week, set my long term strategy, made careful decisions on construction, production and resources, gained a lot of territory, made plans with allies and decided to attack another player who had made bad strategy decisions, overstretched and left themselves exposed. The other player spawned 20 elite units (battleships, bombers and rail guns) in 2 cities in the space of 10 minutes and obliterated my entire army. Over the next day they took over the entire map spawning at least 60 more units that I could count, I worked out to instant spawn a unit (not including buying the resources) costs about £5.50 each... dude had at least 80 instantly! ✓ Game is good but annoyingEverything about the game is great and fun, but what I cannot wrap my head around is what constitutes a resource shortage. I will have hundreds of thousands of energy resources, but let’s say one of them I am losing more than I am making, regardless of how much I have in stock, it results in an energy shortage, penalizing every single province of mine’s morale development by an average of -30 points. Same goes for food resources. A shortage of energy or food should only happen when you have completely drained your stocks of either resource. But if I have ample amounts, I should not receive a penalty for a shortage that doesn’t exist. It makes late-game expansion extremely hard and frustrating because I cannot advance to take new territory without the territories I have captured revolting to random NPCs due to “shortages” of resources that I have in sufficient stock. Also, there should not be a penalty for expanding. The game literally states that the only way to win is to conquer those around you and expand. Why are players punished then for doing that? The game is fun but all these little things are starting to sap the fun out of it..Version: 0.141

This feature is completely broken and usually results in minutes of ads watched for no rewards. If you complain to the support team about it they just switch off this feature for you rather than fixing it. The stability of the app has been an issue (for me at least) for a while and always seems to worsen after new updates to the point now where the game is unplayable. I’ve been in two games already where players are breaking rules and cheating (which I double checked with the game rules from the Bytro Support bot and confirmed they were violating the rules), yet Support doesn’t really care. The only way to report now is through email apparently, and I sent an email a week ago and no response, and the players are still in my game, breaking the rules. I would hate to think that support doesn’t care about rule-breakers because they’re only in it for the money. Update: Still no response from Support. At this point it is safe to assume that Bytro doesn’t care about exploiters and toxicity. They have game rules but it’s all to make it look like they’re actively taking care of the game. ✓ Was a good gameThis game was the best game I had ever played on the phone. However now due to the new update the amount of rebellions you have to deal with is far to much. I have had all my allies and every real player in a game quite because they had spent weeks trying have a stable country after invading. I myself took America build railways and harbours in every state I could but didn’t work. I spend $10 easy on every state about 15 states so easy $150 but that doesn’t work. ✓ Supremacy 1914Like it’s WW2 version, Call of War, this is an engaging and enjoyable strategy game. There’s enough economics and infrastructure to organise to make it multi-layered - but it’s not too complicated. I would give it 4 stars but some of the unit interactions are implausible to say the least; ie, a naval cruiser (which takes a lot of time and resources to build) can be defeated by simply sending a few infantry into the sea... That’s obviously not realistic - and is apparently not a bug - which means that someone meant for that to happen. I reported the conversations with screenshots of the hateful and racist comments and nothing was done to correct anything. ✓ Bad strategy game due to hidden mechanicsThis game could be great if all the mechanics are explained to the player. Currently there’s a lot of mechanics that are not only not apparent in game, but also not written about in the wiki or the game manual online. For example, troop mobilization mechanics made it that your troops move at 50% speed for first day, but literally NOWHERE is this explained. I had to ask a veteran to find out that this isn’t a bug but an intended feature. There’s a ton of “features” like this that appears to be bugs because the game doesn’t tell you how things work. Veterans pride themselves on learning the game but really they’re just using trial and error to find out how basic mechanics work. Don’t play this game if you’re looking for in-depth strategy. ✓ Game hacked??This used to be a fantastic game completely addictive and I spend a fair few pounds on it rising to the top 200 players in the world over 4 very happy years. Over the last few months around 25% of the maps I have entered have contained a superwhale, who appears to have spend around £2000 to buy a win. You have to understand this is not a single game experience where money spent and the benefits stay with you for years, but maps can end as soon as 14 days after they start, some can last 3 months. The result of the entry of the super whales is that these maps become completely pointless as you just cannot compete no matter how much you spend. For super whales read hackers, because no one spends £2000 to buy a win that can be over in as little as two weeks. I am very sad that despite reports to bytro they have not responded at all. I’ve been playing a few months and have enjoyed doing so BUT I’m encountering a recurring theme… It seems that in all lobbies there’s always 1 person who is willing to spend a ton of money to win. Playing a game on here takes weeks to complete (which is why I like it). If you’re willing to pay real money you can bypass all waiting times to build units and effectively win the game. ✓ ShameIt’s a good game but ruined by Gold marks. Supposed to be a strategy game which is realistic… It is to a certain extent in terms of it taking literally days to do most things. So you can be playing a world for a month before things start to get interesting which is a big commitment on time. This is not an issue as that’s where the strategy comes in as you need to manage your resources and make tactical decisions on where you will build a factory ect as it can make a massive difference in the time it take for troops to move around your empire. This is fine and quite fun until the players on your world (there’s always one) that spends real world currency’s to effectively buy the win. An example in my LAST game before deleting the app was where I had 4 bombers trying to kill one battleship. I couldn’t kill it as the person kept spending gold to heal the battleship up. Really annoying and quite unfair which just ruins the entire game because some people have deeper pockets then other. My suggestion is to just make a game mode where gold marks can’t be used. I doubt the developers will introduce this as they are not financially incentivise to do so. If they have a game mode like this I’ve never seen one in the 8 months I’ve played. ✓ Riddled with bugs, extremely pay to win and devs don’t careThe game has a lot of potential and can be fun with the right people, however, the game is very much pay2win and actively encourages people to spend more money. For example, they recently increased the cost of currency to do actions against other players under the guise of stopping people who pay $800 for over 1 million in game currency. Best example is, they have an action that reveals another country’s armies, which after their increase cost 8k in game currency and the lowest amount you can buy is 21k which cost $18! Increasing the cost only affects the people who rarely purchase in game currency by furthering diminishing the value of their purchase. There are a lot of old people spending their retirement fund on this game, and splurge and will completely dominate a game and ruin the experience for other people and the devs actively encourage it. Game is ridden with bugs too, you can’t select things, constant crashes etc. Bytro don’t answer their customer service tickets and when you try to get an answer in their discord channel, they answer very smug and tell you to lodge a ticket. First of all you can build a harbour barely anywhere even know there is the option to build it just says there is already one. I gave it a few days as sometimes these games take some time to build up your forces etc etc. But it takes hours to move units a short distance, it takes days complete construction of buildings & production of equipment. More often then not you don’t have the resources necessary to construct or produce anything. And your resources & money barely ever grow. I even tried experimenting with spending some actual money to see if that would make it any better but to not prevail. Don’t waste your time or money on this game, and all the players in the chat for the game I was in agreed, it’s just very boring.
