✓ Best TD game on iOSHonestly I’ve played a ton of TD games even stemming way back to when it originated with Starcraft mods. The dungeon theme fits oh so well with this genre and Dungeon Warfare (2) doesn’t pull any details. With this version, the addition of a skill tree is an awesome way to tweak the gameplay. The best part is if you don’t like a particular setup, you may reset all your unlocked skill points with no consequence. Just plain fun. No micro transactions which to me is quite refreshing and reminds me of the way games should be..Version: 1.0.2

Just trust me and buy it.The beauty of this game is that once you ‘beat’ any of the seemlessly endless amount of levels, you can (and will very much want to) re-play them many, many more times using different techniques to improve the difficulty and therfore improve your score and see yourself creep up the leaderboard. It is an absolute gem of a strategy game, the possibilities/methods are endless and extremely rewarding. If you like to think and stratagise, you will cherish this game. ✓ The Most Rewarding and In Depth Tower Defense Game I Have PlayedThis game is one of the few mobile games that I feel like the price tag is much more than reasonable with how much there is to do. The amount of different strategies one can employ with just a handful of traps is staggering, the branching skill tree, and the equipable items give you anything from more life to a better chance of getting rarer equipment and rarer runes. The runes add a risk and reward system that gives you various negative effects in exchange for a larger multiplier of experience for the selected level. My only wish for this game is for more traps because more traps has been proven to kill more adventurers..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Exactly what thr TD doctor ordered!I just finished the level “Dark Dungeon” where i whacked my first boss and earned an extra consumable trap slot, when i was prompted to rate the game. Well played, good developers; well played. Allow me to whole-heartedly oblige. Ive played my fair share of TD games starting back in the old days when Newgrounds.com was just starting and i gotta tell you, this hits that craving ive been looking for of endless slaughter fests, intensive point distribution management, and placement strategy without sparing any of the tried-and-true TD mechanics one expects in this genre. I love the ahifting enviroment gimmick brought out in this game and the plethora of diverse traps; especially traps that move the enemy into the clutches of another trap. It all gives me a fair amount if play in strategical approach, providing more than one way to skin a cat (or peasent, warrior, etc). A solid purchase, well worth the money and a good dopamine for a gamer on the go :).Version: 1.0.2

✓ Hours of funI often find myself in a hotel in the middle of nowhere without net access. I’m always on the hunt for new offline games. This one has entertained thoroughly me for a few weeks now. Simple to play. I do have a complaint. I do t think the experience multiplier is working correctly. I just had 3m base XP and a 3.4 multiplier and my total XP was 3.8m. My maths is bad but not that bad... I see the developer is Facebook only. I am Facebook never. So it is hard to send photos etc. I hope you read this and are able to fix it!.Version: 1.0.2

Getting 5k experience at the beginning to 11 million later in the game and still level up is great at keeping the player engaged. So many ways to slice an apple (I like cats), you can go back to the same levels and try again with a different combination of traps, skills, and items. Then try your hand at endless mode. The combinations are endless. Caveat: you WILL spend a lot of time playing this game. Just because it is that engaging. Best of all: No IAP. Bears repeating: no IAP. As far as the core gameplay goes, it’s a fantastic strategy/TD game. There is a lot of depth. ✓ This game is phenominal!It is by far the best tower defense game in the app store. Took me forever to find one like this. It has it all: Gore, upgrades, loot drops, talent trees, skills and more. There is no one way to win on each map, you have full customization and choice of loadouts. The game is hard and makes you feel accomplished which makes it super addictive. I played for like 3 hours straight and have maybe uncovered 1/8 of the dungeons available. So much content here giving you hours and hours of replayability. Honestly its the best moneu inthe app store I have spent in along time and i recently bought like 20 games in the app store. Don't be fooled by its pixelated graphics which actually give it more character. If you want a TD game that has rpg and rogue like elements this is a definite buy! I had a problem with freezing early somehow breaking the app even after resetting it. I rebooted my iPad and everything has been fine since. If you enjoyed DW1 you’ll enjoy DW2 even more. Dungeon Warfare 2 is a beautifully crafted sequel that, like many classic sequels, shows a developer fully coming to grips with his own game design. The first game was very fun and replay able but some aspects of the gameplay - especially towards the end of the game- were a bit rough. The second game has many cool new designs for enemies, traps, skills and other layers of managing your dungeon, and many of the rougher aspects of the first game are addressed directly by these changes. This is a great sign of a developer who lives and breathes his own work. Finally, the Dungeon Warfare games are *perfectly* suited to the iPad. (They work well on the larger iPhones too, if you need to kill some time, but it’s just better on the iPad). This game deserves a try from anyone who wants to support those guys who work hard to craft mobile games, even as they know their baby is going to be set adrift in a vast flood of half-assed mobile games. They have faith in people to spread the word about their game. All in all, can’t wait for Dungeon Warfare 3..Version: 1.0.2

✓ AwesomenessThis game is worth $5 and has a lot of replay-ability. It’s a lot like gem craft. Update: I finished the game after a month and I probably have more things to explore but I maxed out a few fun traps like the dart trap and spinblade. Once I got enough levels I removed skill points on traps I didn’t like and moved it over to better ones. By the end I had dart traps with 4 times the normal range and over 120 starting damage. I got soul steal and eventually had 633 attack damage. I also got the mastery skill up to 20 that increases damage by 100% for frozen units at max level Now that I’m at level 200 I can focus on testing difficulty runes as I only picked the easy standard ones you can always select.Version: 1.0.2
✓ Best TD game everThe original was my #1 tower defense game of all time. This one is less streamlined, but trades that for more gameplay options and better replayability. Successful sequel. Gripes: Items are a huge pile of busy work. It’s not fun reconfiguring them before every level, so I never optimize. They should have been cut. Skills trees should have something better to work towards. The late-tree skills are not as impressive as just loading up on early-tree skills. Why not make a final skill like “put 30 skill points into this and you can max upgrade all traps, not just one.”? The goal “rush every wave” is frustrating because if you accidentally miss just one by one second, you have to restart. Feels annoying, not challenging. These are all minor complaints. ✓ Deep TD with RPG like MechanicsI’ve played a ton of TD games over the years and while this one lacks the charm of games like kingdom rush, it is one of the deepest TD games out there. Insane number of towers and lots of branching skill trees to experiment with freely. Obstacles can be placed or destroyed to manage the path enemies travel for an extra level of strategy. ✓ Best TD Game I’ve Played in a DecadeI’ve been playing tower defense games for around 10 years now and this is the best one I’ve ever played. I love that you can customize the difficulty level using runes. It means that if you like a particular map, but it’s a little too easy you can replay it on the higher difficulty. While there’s no story element, the game keeps you interested with different types of maps and end goals. There are maps with bosses, ephemeral maps, permanent maps, moving element maps, etc. In general, for every element in the game, there’s a large variation of that thing. For instance, - tons of levels - loads of “towers”: fire, ice, spikes, hex, lightning, pulley, shredder, rocket, etc., etc. - different types of towers: apply on walls, apply on floors, temporary towers that disappear on activation (on a timer, don’t have to waste money) - surfaces: walls, moving walls, temporary walls that can blow up, barricade “tower” that you can put in the way then build another tower on if you upgrade it enough - enemies, balloons (assume shout out to bloons), cars full of mobs, giants, rodents, soldiers, etc. - skills (yes on top of everything there’s a skill tree and leveling system): 3 trees, upgradeable towers, difficulty gems, skill gems - pits: lava, black holes, water And I could go on. I’m sure I’m forgetting an entire section of game elements, also I don’t even have time to describe how much you can engross yourself in the customization elements. I also love that there’s no ads or add-ons, just good fun..Version: 1.0.2
