✓ This game isn’t bad until you get to round 170The game is pretty cool, playing in scenarios like the Napoleonic wars, and its all fun and games until you get to about round 170. Once you hit this threshold prepare for a world war, every major power against you. Even if you are a peace lord up until round 170, countries like Russia, the UK, France ,Denmark, Sweden, all start forming coalitions against you (playing as Prussia). Then one of them invades one tile with over 5000 troops and you and your 2000 strong army can’t do anything about it. Then that army splits into 100s and 10s and the A.I just starts snaking everywhere. Then out of nowhere a 5000 army recks your now 1200 army and the war is pretty much over, the enemy has captured enough provinces to the point you don’t make anymore money and can’t field more men. While you probably won’t lose the game you will be crippled for a while. Overall the game can be fun but the ai always knows how to ruin it. You can definitely win playing as Russia or another world power, but playing as a smaller country like Prussia, A German state, an Italian state, or a country with less than 40 provinces will definitely be a test of your strength..Version: 32
✓ CrashesThis game is fun especially playing offline, but the most annoying thing is the crashing. Constantly almost every 10/20 turns this game crashes, in fact you have to save game every 5 turns just incase all your progress is lost. ✓ Fun but please fix this bugThe Game is very fun and I highly recommend getting it but there is a bug. I finally finished conquering the USA so I wanted to invite Russia to my alliance, but our relations were 0. Thats weird I thought so I clicked on Brazil and my relations were 0 even tho 1 turn ago they were 97. It turned out half of the worlds relations were stuck on 0 no mater what I did. ✓ Awesome game, some problemsThe game is one of the best strategy games I’ve ever played, but it has many problems with crashing and the recent problem where after 100 or so turns the game breaks and you have to re-install. ✓ ScamThis game is total rip-off, it’s obvious the developers did very little effort into porting this to mobile, as AI often just wander units wherever they want, my units, that is, and the UI is so poorly designed, and everything is so shabby, that there is very little joy in the game..Version: 32
✓ A simplistic SatisfactionThis game will make you feel a little bit like an emperor, leading a nation to its destiny. After a while however, the experience is shown for what it is, and that is a shallow game. Very similar to risk in its execution of attack orders, but risk might be more complex since it uses dice rolls. In AOH2 it is based on whoever has more troops, and then some fortification percent modifiers get involved. This is worsened by the fact that the AI doesn’t often engage in diplomacy, and the game is incredibly easy. In short, this is not the empire simulator your looking for, but it helps pass the time, which you shouldn’t do anyway, time is valuable. Did you know total war: Rome is on the App Store?.Version: 34
✓ Could be a great game however a major bug ruins it.I recently downloaded Age of History II, because it seemed like an interesting game that I thought would be good for passing the time. Upon downloading it I got exactly what I had hoped for, a cool game with many features to learn. I immediately sat about trying to learn the features of the game, which I found quite enjoyable and once you get them down it is a blast. While working on this though I was invaded by a neighboring country, which was fine they were significantly weaker than me and no match. I figured I‘d just send my armies to stop them. I was greatly mistaken however because the moment they invaded my land the game completely froze up for me. All I could do was click Next Turn over and over and watch as this weak nation slowly ate up mine, all because I was unable to make any moves, or gain an income. I am not sure if this is a bug or a feature or what it is. All I know is I clicked just about ever button on my screen trying to figure out how to get back control over my country but nothing worked. That I tried, maybe I just didn‘t see what I was supposed to press to get back control, but it seems that all that works to bypass this is just saving the game ever single turn and then restarting the game to get back in. If this bug, or whatever it is, was not there this review certainly would have been five stars..Version: 34

✓ Good but the crashing IS A BIG PROBLEMThe game is great, it’s obvious the developers put a lot of work into it. Game play is fun and addicting and easy to get into but takes a while to master. I’ve gotten lost for hours in trying to expand and conquer. But there’s 2 glaring issues so HUGE it’s brings it down 2 stars. One HUGE PROBLEM is the AI and how they can feel impossible to beat sometimes. Right now I’m playing as Germany during World War 2 and every time I have a good line the AI will snake around with 5 units and you have to chases them down and then that screws up everything. Another Problem that is the biggest out of all is the constant crashing. If you don’t save your progress every 5 turns the game is at a huge risk of losing all your progress. Right now I’m the same let’s play as Germany I just lost almost all the progress I made against France cause I forgot to save and then my game crashed again. And in another game I crashed 3 TIMES in less than 10 minutes. If the game can’t run on a powerful phone like an iPhone X then why is it on mobile to begin with..Version: 32
✓ Lazy developerThis is easily my favorite iOS app by far and I’ve easily spent 1000+ hours playing this game, however, this games crashes waaaay to frequently. The developer oughtta put time into optimizing this game. What makes it frustrating is his lack of communication and lack of actual updates. He changed the name 8 months ago and fix some bugs, that’s it. I also got this game on my low end lg phone and it hardly ever crashes but my iPhone can’t handle it? I made a habit of saving EVERY 5 turns because the game crashes so often. The developer is a genius for the gameplay but incompetent for actually optimizing and fixing his games. ✓ Really fun game but could add some more things!To start off, this is the best mobile strategy game on mobile. I also love how their is many time periods you can play in. what i wish was in the game was civil wars. Kinda like hoi4 where if you want to change government type you have can cause a civil war and overthrow the government. Also, the edit mode where you can make civilizations, leaders, etc, is really hard to follow and i hope it can become simpler. Overall, this game is really fun and i recommend it to everyone. edit: Today when i was playing, the game kept glitching out. ✓ It is an awful functioning game on mobileYes this is an amazing game in terms of grand strategy but it is a garbage patch in terms of functionality. I will use a game I played as an example. I was playing as brandenburg and worked up to the German empire and that part was fun but then the game started constantly crashing. It deleted areas of land I have discovered and just now it deleted the entire map from this game that I put 3+ hours into. There are no longer any countries on the map and every province is neutral. ✓ Ok gameIt’s a good game and all, don’t get me wrong. But it is buggy to the point that it is unplayable. Every 70 turns or so I get kicked out of the game with my last save being when I was much smaller. On top of that, the treaty system is awful to deal with. Sometimes you could hold up a good fight or beat the enemy in a few turns and you’ll have to take only half their country. Other times, you can’t actually make peace treaties! I was playing as Greece in the Victorian era with about 400 provinces when me and Qing took out Russia. It was quite quick, but the problem was that after I made a treaty, it would repeatedly tell me to make peace with Russia while I did every turn. They didn’t even reject it, it just spammed the same message..Version: 32

✓ Depressingly glitchy.Let me start off saying that I do like this game, or at least, I like the idea of it. A grand strategy game for mobile is a dream come true for me, and I think a lot of the mechanics work well. My issue with this game is the lagging, and the glitching, and the crashing. More or less every game I have started has been ruined by some game-breaking bug that ruins the whole thing for me. There’s a bug where the game will crash and when I reload it the civilisation I most recently annexed is still conquered but it’s territory is classed as being occupied instead of annexed. There’s one where it crashes and when I reload it seems fine until I find out it no longer lets me save, and there’s one where it crashes and when I reload it the screen will start flashing like mad the moment I press anything. I’m so sick of having my games ruined constantly by these bugs that I have decided that I won’t play the game any longer unless these issues are addressed. I hope the developer of this game sees this review and looks into the issue because it completely ruins the game for me..Version: 32
✓ Awesome Game : Bad BugI love playing this, it was almost worth spending the money. However, I have run into an issue which is quite the nuisance. The game likes to auto end my turns, this is especially annoying when I am in wars and it messes up my entire strategy. I haven’t found anything to turn off this auto turn ending thing so it seems to be a bug too me. Please fix this, if you value your player base. It is no fun trying to think of a plan and all of a sudden it’s ending your turn! Other than that this game is amazing for being mobile. EDIT: GAME CRASHES way too much, I have an iPhone 7 so I’m sure it’s not my phone that’s the problem, because it runs higher capacity games way better. Between this and the turn ending on its own bs I regret having spent any money on this game. ✓ Good game with some problemsThis game is overall good and fun. However, I do have some problems with it. For a paid game, I honestly have better expectations. The music bugs, and if your volume is loud it can really hurt your ears. There are several flaws with the various countries such as wrong diplomatic details and incorrect borders. But since the developer has abandoned this game, the game is riddled with numerous bugs, for instance once you get past a certain turn you’ll be unable to make diplomacy to other nations which is very important in this game, another issue I’ve occurred is my phone heating up (iPhone 12) a simple game like this shouldn’t be heating my phone but here we are and it crashes once you hit over 3000 plus turns. ✓ Needs to be optimized for mobileFor starters don’t get me wrong I love this game, its really fun, however it is made for computers and not phones so why they put it on the app store and google play store without even attempting to optimize the gameplay for mobile is beyond me. ✓ Good game but needs improvementThis game itself has a good concept and is fun to play but it just needs updatesssss. First of all it crashes so much on me, so in order to avoid that I would need to save every now and then. The buttons also are way too small. I this is just the desktop versions of the game, that was purposefully shrunk to fit on a phone. I think the creators of this game need to come up with a better mobile experience. Make the buttons larger and the words bigger to be able to see. Keep in mind I was playing this on my iPhone XR, the screen is one of the biggest you can get and after playing an hour or so much eyes would get strained and it would hurt. Make the zooming experience smoother. And fix your bugs on the app crashes!!!! That is my biggest complaint, it’s crashed three times the first hour I played. Also maybe offer a better tutorial on how to play the game. ✓ Don't BotherIf you're on an iPhone, most buttons on the margins of the screen are impossible to press, and none of the graphics settings seem to do anything. Starting out, nothing makes sense and the UI is so condensed that anything you try to press, you end up pressing something different. The tutorial doesn't really explain anything that you would need to know to actually be successful in the game. Once you start to get the hang of it, it starts crashing on you. Some of the game modes don't work at all, just crashes every turn. You have to save very often if you don't want to lose progress in an app crash, but even that is no guarantee. Several times I've saved my game and gone back later and it's sent me back maybe 50+ turns. I imagine this would be a great game on PC, but this iOS app is basically unplayable..Version: 32

It also seems to sometimes corrupt during these crashes, to such an extent that basic gameplay mechanics just stop working.
