✓ One of the best rpg’s on mobile.This is the real deal. Full premium with no iap’s. A complete port from the pc version and the only difference is the interface is modified for tap screens and it works perfectly. Little things like being able to save at any time and all audio settings having seperate sliders are most welcome. Battles are turn based but are quick and exciting. A ton of areas and dungeons to explore. The graphics and sound effects are top notch. Early release had some crash issues due to RAM not being read correctly but that has been patched. Played on iPad Pro and iPhone 8 plus for hours with no issues or crashes at all..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Blown awayJust utterly impressed by the level of polish this game has - the devs should be so proud of what they’ve accomplished here. this is precisely what “premium mobile game” should feel like. The art and animations are incredible, the character design and attention to detail overall is wonderful, the world is inviting and interesting, there is depth in the mechanics and underlying systems - and I think the UX/UI members deserve a special praise here - to display the level of information required on screen, and it to feel as good as it does, is amazing. There was some small, but really great moments in things like selecting armour/items, and seeing the stat comparison for how it will affect each character. And for the game designers, your hard work has made all of the above worth sticking with, as the number crunching that was probably required to get it to “feel” right and balanced must have been gruelling! 👏🏼 so impressed!.Version: 1.0.5

✓ Beautiful!!Just came across the game today while looking for a deep game that doesn’t require iap’s and doesn’t flood you with apps. This game is simply amazing and well worth the $10 price tag. Graphics are excellent for a mobile game. Seems to have a deep story as well as thoughtful direction and great voice acting. Hard to find on most games. ✓ Solid but needs some quality of life improvementsFirst thing to mention is I’ve not experienced the random crashing other people have mentioned. I have an iPhone 8+. Everything has been pretty solid so far. I would like to see a way to skip the Burst animations as they can get pretty annoying to sit through. The waking speed in dungeons should be increased by 25% to 50%. I feel like it’s unnecessarily slow, especially once you’ve cleared out some rooms already and you’re back tracking. ✓ An iOS RPG masterpieceEdit: The recent update messed up the game. It now permanently says it's on debug mode / preview build. Also icons are in the wrong place. Not sure who tested this update but now I don't even want to play it. ---- Thanks devs for bringing this beautiful game to mobile. Just from the first minutes you know the game is top quality. Worth the cost easily. The battles are really fun, the animations are gorgeous, and the UI was beautifully designed for mobile. I love the use of drag and drop, and also holding down for more info, etc. It has it all. It even has stat tracking which is one of my favorite things in video games which increases replayability. I read that the game is lengthy so it should be worth all the money easily. I can't wait to play more! ✓ Great game, issue fixed in latest updateSince the latest update my game shows the text, “preview build v25572” in the top right and “debug keys on” in the bottom left. In battle it now gives me two options, “fight” or “auto kill (debug feature)” enjoying the game and no issues until now but clearly this was not intended when updating to remove the lightning sigil not charging bug. I am an old school rpg gamer and I only play single player rpgs, but let me say, most don't far well with me, it takes a lot to keep me interested. ✓ Amazing game but 1 very annoying bugAmazing game. Definitely a must buy for any rpg fans. However there is one terribly annoying bug that I hope the devs fix soon. Whenever I exit the game for any reason when I come back to the game the sound no longer works. Even if I just reply to a text message I have to force quit the app and restart it to get the game sound to work again. Extremely annoying for being a mobile game where multitasking is a necessity. ✓ Amazingly GoodSo I’ll start by saying I know this game released with bugs and people had issues, so I held off and only just purchased it recently. This game is absolutely amazing, I play a lot of iOS games and this is by far the best RPG on iOS, I haven’t played anything that comes close to its quality. So far I’m 6.2 hours in and I’m very much a completionist so I have a long way to go yet and so much more to do and enjoy. ✓ Almost greatThere is much to like about this game. The combat is deep and challenging, and thanks to the overcharge system really encourages not just pressing the attack button over and over. The aesthetics and world building are some of the best I’ve seen in a mobile RPG. Still, it’s so much like classic Final Fantasy games that it has some weaknesses in common. I constantly have to worry about running out of potions mid-dungeon. The frequent minor battles become tedious. I have no incentive to change the party. And worst of all, the story is rather cliche. Guess what? A dark lord is resurrecting, and you need to find artifacts to stop him! Ultimately it wasn’t for me, but if you like retro JRPGs this is a good one..Version: 1.0.16

✓ Superb art style!This game is an absolute marvel to look at. Fluid animation and clean art make for great atmospheric gameplay. I hate to be one of those people who say they never review, but I am one and will own up to it. This game deserves mention. For me it was worth the cover price for the artistry alone. The gameplay so far isn't deep, but that's not really the point either. It's the immersive nature of the art mixed with turn based combat that feels good in that old school kind of way. It’s not perfect; it’s very much designed around the (excellent) battle system which never gets boring after hours of playing and is enhanced but the design of perks and bonuses. BUT the storyline is almost non-existant, even the world feels a bit lifeless and designed only around levelling and dungeons. The time was clearly spent on the mechanics. To all the people giving this game one star because it won’t work in their iPad, show a little patience (or better yet don’t waste your money on an iPad). An update went out today to address the memory issue. Issues aside, this game is easily worth 10 dollars. The graphics, animation, story, crafting, turn-based battle systems are all superb and any fan of classic RPGs will thoroughly enjoy BattleChasers. When I spend 10 dollars, this is the quality of game I expect to get. It’s just a shame that games like BattleChasers and Oceanhorn come out so rarely. I find myself mostly replaying games from the Final Fantasy series because so few phone games can match the depth and scale of those console games ported to the IOS. I want to encourage more developers to make games like this. There is a huge fan base for turn-based RPGs, action RPGs and other variations of the like. My only gripe with it is even if this is the only app I am using on iPad and put iPad to sleep over night, I can’t simply continue playing in the morning. And the worse part is when you are in a dungeon, you have to start at the beginning of the dungeon after restart. Even though monsters are already killed, you spend 5 mins walking to the point where you left. iCloud save would be nice as well. Edit: spotted a bug today. Play time displayed is way off. ✓ AmazingThe only reason I can’t give this five stars is that I’m still fighting slimes on the very last area of the map. Make more character models. Otherwise, the game is excellent, just challenging enough, and has amazing depth of development as far as skill unlocks and team combinations. The art and animation are flawless. It’s definitely worth the money and guaranteed to keep you occupied for hours and hours. By the way, developers, the ‘time played’ feature should stop counting when the game is paused. Maybe you’re just looking for something with a long play time and that will challenge you. If so, this is the game for you. Bad first — it has glitches. The second dungeon had be force quit at least four times which was rather annoying. That’s my only bad. The good? It’s based on a comic but I’ve never read it and felt it was very easy to jump into the story anyway. It has tons of skills and two skill paths for each character meaning it’s replayable. It’s graphics are the best. The dungeons are super tough on the hardest difficulty but still beatable. Last, I’ve played for 6 and a half hours and only feel MAYBE 1/4th done. ✓ Where are bretto’s birds?!This is a phenomenal game and a very good port. It’s not perfect, but neither was the game when I played on PC or switch. Every platform has a few issues. This is definitely worth picking up. Art and music coming together beautifully. So far my biggest complaint is that at the end of combat Bretto’s animation doesn’t show the birds landing back on his shoulder. He just looks to the sky… At nothing. ✓ IPhone 8 speakingThis games aspect remind me of “Persona 5” on PS4 with its smooth and fast paced combat with their own unique attacks. The graphics are the same as on PC (depends on your device) with clear detail on me iPhone 8!!! The controls are responsive as well speaking inside the forest village because combat you only have to tap to fight which is superb!!. The voice acting and story is very touching and on point with making you feel connected with the characters in the game, it takes focus on strategy and wise planning to get the win. I think any rpg fan of turn based combat will enjoy this. The story and characters are unique and great. And just when you think you’ve hit the content limit, a new mechanics get thrown in and really add new excitement to the gameplay. Character/weapon/armour customization is fun to play around with! It has a nice cast of playable characters, not too many to be overwhelming, just enough to give variety. ✓ High Quality JRPGI bought this game for US$0.99 and I believe it was a steal. I have sunk around 60 hrs in the game and I’m still having a great time with it. ✓ Great game but constantly crashI love this game, I have it on PC and now on mobile. I have play this game more than 50 hours total and I still enjoy it. So far the game is pretty identical to the game on PC, except the this mobile version is constantly crashing. Most of crashing is ok because it just make me lose little progress, but until I push into the Deathwatch dungeon, doesn’t matter how I tried, the game just crash from room 3 to room 4. Currently I cannot push further than that, because Deathwatch dungeon is main story line. Please make it fix..Version: 1.0.5
✓ 5 star game, but currently unplayableUpdate: latest patch restored full functionality at 100% graphics quality. All good here. Game worked great until the latest patch, now crashes after any battle within Deadwatch. Tried rebooting my device and restarting the dungeon multiple times. iPhone 6s. Really too bad because this has to be one of the best mobile games I’ve ever played otherwise, and very much worth the $$$ if it did work. Will update my score if it changes Update - reduced graphics to 50% did not resolve. Unfortunate that I can’t roll back the last patch... 10+ hours played at full quality without lag or crashes. ✓ Small issues , excellent gameVery much enjoying the game. You will want to run it before getting on a plane. If it is still in memory you can play offline for hours. However if the game checks gamecenter it becomes unplayable offline. Very frustrating for a premium game that has no online components. Fix that and 5 stars easy. No crashes or issues on newer hardware as of yet..Version: 1.0.7
