Not accurateMy native Korean friends kept saying that’s not how you say that and correcting my spelling when I’m saying and writing exactly what I learned.Version: 1.5.2

Good but...The app is good. I like how it gets you practicing speaking from the start which can build confidence and allows you to learn how Korean’s actually speak (not textbook). However, I think it would be better if there were easier access to the full conversation scripts as it’s quite time consuming needing to keep playing and pausing the videos to jot down what the other persons saying in order to study those lines which is something that’s necessary in order to learn otherwise the short one liners the students are prompted to say would be useless or not worth the money. And because there’s isn’t a rewind or fast forward button, if you pause too late you need to wait for the video to play through again, which again is time consuming. Overall, good app but more content for studying and learning purposes would be much better and would feel like better value for money..Version: 1.2.8

Korean won't work?I have been using this app for a while before it even got updated with Japanese, my Korean always worked fine and the Japanese still works fine but now the Korean won't work like at all, despite having access to my mic, me making a new account, deleting and redownloading, I've tried everything it wont work, anytime I try to speak it cuts me off not even giving me the chance to try speaking the words when I've never had this problem before until just after the Japanese update came out, I've been learning Japanese for the time being but the Korean just will not work at all which is kinda upsetting since I really wanted to learn Korean, I don't know how to fix this and I really want to learn Korean, I have no idea if it's my phone or the app but yeah :(.Version: 1.15.16

So good, however..I enjoy using this app so much, and because I'm more of a speaking learner it's very useful to me and helps me to remember content, the way it is set up is simple and easy to use so this app is definitely a recommendation for learning Korean and Japanese well! However, after Day 6 on the Korean side for Unit One, whenever I try to do the recap, it doesn't record my voice and my phone becomes really laggy if i try to swipe off the app... so I've tried every day to record myself but it won't pick up any noise for some reason. Apart from that, great app!.Version: 1.14.4

Too many technical errorsI love learning korean on this app, but it does freeze often or sometimes wont let me enter one of the studys which can be frustrating, if these glitches are fixed this would be the best one yet!!! Helped me so much with my korean skills, its just those darn glitches that need to be fixed asap!!!.Version: 1.9.0

Mic issuesIt was great for a while but recently the microphone has not been working. I’m tried turning the microphone off in settings and back on and it hasn’t fixed it. it’s not my device because I’m also having the issue on other devices. I’m not sure why it’s happening?.Version: 1.12.7

Started off really wellThe free trial for this app started off really well. It would automatically listen for my responses. But then I got to the unit about asking someone what they are doing tomorrow, and the listening function stopped working. Tried turning off the automatic function. Didn’t work. Restarted the app. Didn’t work. Had a look to see if I needed to update the app - and no. Not sure what has gone wrong or why, which is an absolute shame. Now I’m reluctant to pay for premium. It was one of of the better language learning apps I’ve tried. Hopefully whatever bug it has is resolved soon so I can use the app to get some knowledge of the language before my trip to Sth Korea..Version: 1.12.5

Very good but there’s room for improvementI find it very helpful with my pronunciation however it doesn’t teach how to read or write and I believe that understanding how to read Hangul is very helpful so I learned that elsewhere. I think the app could do better with allowing an option for imputing your age, county ect. As unless you know how to say your age and country in Korean you only learn how to say that your 25 and American/Vietnamese. Overall very helpful though. 감사합니다..Version: 1.5.4

Why doesn’t it workOkay so at first it was really good, maybe for like 20 minutes. Then once I storages the second day, it would not let me talk. The voice recognition was bugging out and a lot of other things to. So I decided to create another account to see if that would work and guess what. The speaking button had completely gone as well as the subtitles. I checked everything and it was all how I had put it the first time. I think that maybe there is a bug and you should check it....Version: 1.10.0

Pronunciation + Help option + accuracy? This app works decent enough if you continuously remember to use it daily. However, if you miss a day (etc) chances are you’ll forget. During the quiz time near the end of each lesson, I sometimes get very frustrated because I forget an expression. The only option is to restart the entire lesson or Google it, which often doesn’t match. This leads to my next comment being that it might not be super accurate. I’ve realized that on some occasions, I can say whatever I like and it will mark it as correct. Also, this app doesn’t help with pronunciation at all, which is too bad because it’s something many struggle with, including me. Overall, it’s a pretty good app! I like the 1 key per day feature, it keeps me waiting for the next lesson..Version: 1.15.11

Good, but not great for non-beginnersI’ve been studying Japanese for about a year now, but because I’m mostly self-taught, I don’t get the chance to speak much. I’m going to Japan in a few months for exchange so I downloaded Teuida to help with my speaking. My pronunciation is fine (had my host sister check me on this) but I struggle with saying things normally or simply speaking at a normal pace, and I want to be able to speak faster. Teuida has given me a lot of opportunities to speak and taught me some useful everyday phrases I didn’t learn in my textbook, but I find the voice recognition could use some work. I often have to exaggerate my words to get a correct answer, even though I know that’s not how words would normally be spoken! I want to speak normally! I think for a beginner this would be less of an issue as they have barely spoken the language but I’m trying to establish fluency. Please fix this🙏🙏.Version: 1.16.7

Need helpGreat app. Love that I get to practice voicing it out and not just trying to read and memorise. However, after completing my day 1, my day 2 is still locked the next day. I’ve tried repeating the day 1 lesson and still won’t unlock day two. I don’t know why. I need help with this..Version: 1.13.07

I had higher expectationsI was so exited for this app i downloaded it despite the bad reviews when i first tried saying hello which i already knew i know basic phrases because i listen to kpop and watch A LOT of Kdramas,I love the platform and everything but it was fine when i first said ahnyeonghaseyeo it was fine but then after when i was saying other phrases it kept on saying i was wrong so i was very confused i hope you can fix this microphone issue as from my side i tried to update my phone nothing works. otherwise this app is very nice!💖.Version: 1.15.9

Mic issueI love the app it’s just after coming back to it after so long. I’m having an issue with my microphone and it’s honestly just throwing me off and I’m getting more and more annoyed that it’s not working although I’ve turned on my voice recognition and my microphone and logged in and logged out, as well as uninstall, and read, install , it still won’t work . so if you could guys could please fix this issue, it would be highly appreciated….Version: 1.15.9

This app makes me kinda madFor an instance, i keep saying the right words but it’s not correct and sometimes it doesn’t let me finish my sentence and says it’s incorrect 👎🏻.Version: 1.15.16

It’s great but…..TEUIDA really has helped me learn quite a lot, my pronunciation has improved a bit over the past couple weeks, but here is why it’s a little weird. There is only one key, so you can only do one lesson for the day, not one in Korean and one in Japanese, just one overall, if you do use a key, it’s over for the day, nothing else, and the stories aren’t free either, so you would have to give up a lesson to play them. It gets annoying, because I want to practice what I learned by using the stories, but I can’t, because I’ve used my key for a lesson. The stories shouldn’t also need a key, or we should get more then just one key per day for a lesson. It’s really hard to try and improve myself more if I’m being restricted so much. I hope that helps, I would recommend this to people, but not without a warning. Overall, the app should be a bit better for everyone, so it’s good for people who aren’t willing to buy it, or can’t afford to keep paying..Version: 1.15.9

A couple of things...Ok so I’m gonna give some real conservative criticism here for this app. First of all I think this is a beautiful app. It’s so well constructed and unique. The teachers are great and the videos are really engaging. With that being said I noticed some inconsistencies in the ui. When I complete a lesson there is no green check mark. I have to close the app and reopen it to get the check mark to show up. Also at the part where the teacher gives a quiz, they ask “how do you say....?” and there is a fill-in-the-blank box, under that box sometimes there’s romanization under it, sometimes Hangul, sometimes English. Why does it keep changing? Why is this not consistent across the app? And more importantly why is the answer shown on screen when it’s supposed to be a quiz??? I really wish the answer wasn’t there so I could actually test myself. Also, I’m sorry but I think that at this time there is too little content to justify the price. The levels are really quick to finish. You can finish everything that’s available in one or two days. I feel like you should have waited until the app was full of content to release it or to start charging so much. I’ll check back later when there’s more chapters available. And please.. add a placement test at the beginning so I know what level to start at. Not everyone needs to start at level 1..Version: 1.1.4

It was good at firstThis was an AMAZING app the best by far and I was using it for months it truely helped me so much BUT. When the updated version came out I couldn’t install it because I have an old iPhone. Well it had the option to keep the under updated version so I did buy it didn’t work I am really disappointed because this app was so good.😔🙁.Version: 1.12.4

Good but big issueThe app is really good and I enjoy using it but today when I went to use it no matter what internet I use if it’s mobile data or home data and even if it’s 4 bars and best connection the videos won’t load but they were yesterday on the same internet hope this gets fixed soon.Version: 1.14.7

This app is great, accessibility is my only issueI love the app! The interactive learning is genius and works very well, with layout and design also being very well done, but the study key function bugs me a bit for how long you have to wait. Personally I think you shouldn’t have to wait like 20 hours just to be able to do a lesson, and I find it very strange the key function is not able to be unlocked with ads like a lot of mobile apps do. The time limit on study keys also bugs me for the fact if you want to do a lesson, you may have to wait a certain time just to do your lesson, which I find defeats the purposes of streaks because of how easily you can mess up your streak just by not having enough real world time. Assuming the study key resets every 24 hours and you do your lesson at like 4 am you have to wake up at that time to do the lesson so you don’t lose your streak, it just doesn’t seem reasonable and something like maybe a 4 hour cool down would make more sense to me. Other than that the app is great and I often find myself accidentally replying to the tutor when not supposed to because it genuinely works that well. Happy new years ٩(^‿^)۶!!!.Version: 1.15.9

Premium subscriptionLook at first glance this app was really engaging and I was totally excited to learn Korean through speaking it rather than only reading it. The first lesson left a great impression on me. The next day I unlocked the next lesson with a key, (I have not paid for the premium subscription.) and watched an ad to continue to the lesson. But after clicking off the ad and going into the lesson, it always leaves me waiting on a black screen with a loading symbol. I tried again and again each time on different days but it still does not let me start the second lesson. It’s a bit of a shame — and I hope this isn’t only happening because I haven’t paid for the premium subscription. And I would not like to take the chance that the lessons still do not work even after buying the subscription (which is not cheap!). If this was fixed, the app would be perfect..Version: 1.12.5

Good but..You need to have some more grammar focus, you completely skipped out some vowels like the diphthongs in the beginning and jumped straight into putting them into sentences before teaching learners how to pronounce them, you also didn’t teach the grammar rules when it comes to 4 alphabet letters in a block either. fortunately I knew this from having previous Korean lessons but a new learner wouldn’t know this. Not only that but the dictation needs improvement sometimes I say the exact sentence and it will show up as that but say it’s still wrong or I’ll say it exactly how it’s meant to be said and it doesn’t register and the only way to get it to register is to sound the individual consonant blocks to get the dictation to register and then it decides I’m too slow. Also give more time while the learner is speaking before deciding it’s wrong or to give them the hint. I’ll be mid sentence trying to translate and put the sentence together and the system decides I’m taking too long and tells me how to say it even though I’m just trying to process it. The app definitely needs some work but I like the concept of it so far..Version: 1.15.14

For absolute beginnersWhen you first join the app it gives u an option between beginner, intermediate etc. Though I’m quiet fluent in korean I would’ve liked to improve my pronunciation and vocabulary through this app but unfortunately it only teaches you the basics and doesn’t go much more into deeper korean vocabulary..Version: 1.13.03

Fun to use but so buggyEvery time I unlock something… the next day it’s locked again.Version: 1.15.16

AMAZING!!Was a really good curriculum and love the interactive content, but a lot of ads. Otherwise really good app for beginners!.Version: 1.15.9

Buggy but has potentialThe latest update seems to have caused the app to fail detect my voice at all even more often than previously. Although I did get a few B’s this time rather than all A+ or fails so sensitivity may be more accurate. This still needs work because repeatedly saying the same phrase over and over and being told to retry is getting old fast. (It’s not the same ‘retry’ you get when it highlights the problem area it just doesn’t detect me.) Apart from the voice recognition issue the app does have good potential because the format makes learning fun and it does help with listening and speaking skills..Version: 1.2.9

MemorizationThe app is overall really well, but, unless its just a personal issue for me, i find remembering what ive been taught rather complicated. From what im perceiving, you learn very new topics per day. Not that this is a bad thing, but i dont feel that you get enough time to let the information sink in. Everyday is one entirely different lesson. Yes, maybe there will be a word you‘ve already learned thrown into the lesson, but thats just about it. This personally isnt very helpful. It feels like you have to go based on memorization rather than…well…whatever isnt that. Also, at the end of the unit tests, i find it complicated to pass them. i cant fully remember all of what ive learned in the beginning of the unit, mostly just what ive learned towards the end. I keep hitting the small speaker button to listen to what im supposed to say, but cant quite pick up on it. I end up stuck on the tests sometimes. This happens during lessons too. Is this a problem other users have aswell, or just me?.Version: 1.16.3
