LEGO® DUPLO® WORLD for Negative User Reviews

It’s awful why do you need to be an adultWhy why why it’s not fair why would you make a app for kids and there’s only one level for kids it’s so bad😤😡🤯.Version: 1.5.0

GreedApp is fine wouldn’t say it’s worth the money but my daughter loves it. So, imagine my confusion when she comes to me crying saying it won’t work anymore. It does work but this greedy company do not unlock everything for the £20 you spend on it just what is released on the day you buy it!! So expect to keep paying £5 each time a module is released and they cleverly stack these at the front meaning your child will spot it first and be unable to play it. I know Lego became greedy but this is insane! Sack your management team bunch of corporate idiots. Stay well clear!.Version: 5.6.0

Waste of $$$Honestly the worst game I have ever come across. Each scene is $8.99 to unlock and does not spark joy. It’s basic and boring. Save your money and download something else. ❌❌❌.Version: 8.0.0

Needs improvement but good app for learningThis app could use various improvements. First being that the “play pack” versions of the app should last longer. I just paid $6 for a version of Lego DUPLO to be unlocked. The VERY NEXT DAY that promo was gone and replaced with a new play pack. This is so frustrating. I’ve unlocked/payed for each section within the app for it to be locked right back the very next day. So frustrating to be throwing money away at a game that my son loves and learns from. Please change this so that we can actually enjoy the features of the app completely. Secondly the arrows at the bottom left and right corner are exactly where my son holds the iPad/phone. I think the arrows have a much better spot at the top of the page. Lastly the parent side of things should be telling us how long the play pack will stay available..Version: 11.1.0

Rob dogsPaid an extortionate amount to open this games content , only to find that instead of it being a one time purchase I have to subscribe… not only that but I’m expected to pay more for new content. I think you’re getting enough out of us without expecting us to pay for more especially with it being subscription.Version: 9.1.0

Family Sharing doesn’t work…Bought the annual subscription using my ipad to unlock everything as the app store page says family sharing is supported and specifically mentions subscriptions but it actually doesn’t seem to work. Edit: developer provided a workaround, not ideal but better than nothing..Version: 8.1.1

Not a good company to deal with.I bought this game. Now that there are new levels I’m told I didn’t buy the full game. My kids see the new levels at $5 a pop and are disappointed they can’t access them. So I contact the company and ask about it. They can see when I bought the game, yet ask me to provide a receipt to prove I bought the game. They try to tell me I chose a smaller version of the game which is not true. I bought the whole game. If you look at the reviews you’ll see this is common practice for this game. Many many people have this exact same complaint and the developers response is it’s always the customers fault, we didn’t buy what we thought we did. Odd so many people are making the same “mistake” yet they haven’t fixed the situation. If I hadn’t already spent real money on this I’d delete it entirely. I spent $23 on this game ans apparently it wasn’t for the “full version” like they advertised. I had given this app a few stars because my kids like it, after emailing with the developers I’ve amended it to 1 Star because I can’t give zero. Not a good company to deal with..Version: 7.1.0

Several IssuesI purchased 2 of the games for 6.99 each then over the next couple of weeks expandedvthe games until I exceeded the 29.99 for the year and so it should have granted access to all the other games but they are all locked The breadth of the games are very shallow. They have a limited range of things they can do. My 3 yr old gets bored pretty quickly. There are no instructions for the games. A few sounds but no speech. Video effects are pretty low tech. The series charges a lot of $ for little value..Version: 10.1.0

FAMILY SHAREUpdate: I reported to Apple and requested a refund which I was granted. I made the purchase on the account I needed it on. I still feel like Lego should still offer this app as a family share option to be on any device in the family, especially for the price of it. The developer also reached out asking how they could help. The app itself is great and my son loves it (and matches some of the play sets he has). I’m giving the app a low star rating because NO WHERE in the purchasing instructions does it mention not available for Family Sharing on Apple devices! I’ve spent so much time this morning trying to figure out why it wasn’t working. I finally found in the Settings FAQ section that you would have to sign out and into account app purchased under…sorry but it’s not that simple switching accounts on Apple product. I’ve purchased from other developers and this is no issue for them but Lego can’t do it???? I’ll be reporting the purchase to Apple as soon as the option is available to do so and then make the purchase on my child’s device. Still ridiculous that Lego of all company’s isn’t able to apply the Family Share for Apple users…infuriating 😡😤.Version: 13.0.0

Very disappointedI don’t usually leave negative feedback on anything, but I’m very disappointed that after less than 24 hours after purchasing the very expensive yearly subscription, my son is locked out of all the games as if the purchase never happened. There seems to be nowhere in the app where I can contact the developer directly to help fix this. This is a pretty ridiculous glitch for the price wouldn’t you agree? Sorry but it’s not good enough..Version: 8.1.1

To expensiveNice little game for toddler but rip off at the cost of it. Not much in the game especially for £4:99 each scene. Would be so much better if you paid £4.99 for the whole thing. I’m sure this was free years ago as me eldest had one and I’m sure I never paid for it and you got much more.Version: 2.6.0

Ok but...It’s quite good but isnt the best. If someone wants to get through it quickly this game isn’t the best with time and for me it glitched quite a lot..Version: 7.0.0

Why doesn’t this support family sharing?I have paid a lot of money for one of my kids but now the other wants to play on his iPad.?..Version: 13.0.0

Playing with kids psychology for money?Summary *** This game is money grab scam. And plays with kids Psychology. Period. *** For every sub game there is money to be paid. Fine. As a business, that’s ok. However what I can’t comprehend is the Advertisement Logo sitting on top for your other games? This game is intended for toddler. And putting an advertisement logo is just another ‘in game icon’ for kid. Whereas this is simply an advertisement. How can a toddler differentiate between an ad and real game when they all look like similar logo? When fully paid for this game, there should be option to disable full ad. Which is not the case. So for toddlers emotions, you are doing business which seems not right..Version: 10.1.0

Good ….butOur 2 year old loves the app and content so well done for that, some reviews say this is expensive but in our opinion it’s worth it. However, 2 issues from a parents perspective, first the arrows to advance forwards/backwards are located at the bottom of the screen, this is the worst possible location as they are accidentally caught by our child, why locate them here?? Much better to have them at the top of the screen!! Secondly the family sharing doesn’t work so unable to have full content on a parents phone with a different Apple ID. These 2 fundamental issues mean 1 star sorry..Version: 10.1.0

Needs in app purchase SharingMy child will use my wife or my iPad based on who is using theirs. Because of that this game is only usable half the time. Please add in app purchase sharing as your suggested method in other reviews abbot signing in with different accounts us unreasonable. We did that at first but after a month or so the app was not usable because there was an update and it required the original account that downloaded the app to be logged in. There is no way I’m switch accounts back and forth every time you update the app when all you have to do is allow the purchase to be shared..Version: 13.0.0

You have to pay for everythingCool idea game but it sucks that you have to pay for everything.Version: 11.2.0

Expensive and Family Sharing of in-app purchases not supportedIt’s a great game, my 4 y.o. loves it. But does quickly lose interest in individual games. Okay, so we buy an expansion, very expensive, but okay, whatever. Oh wait… what’s this? Despite the app saying “Family Sharing Supported”, the in-app purchases are *not* shared. Don’t waste your money until this is resolved. Absolute joke..Version: 8.0.0

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬66.9 29.99.Version: 4.0.0

Not free?No 3 yr old can buy the other sections of game. Sound not working and no settings option?.Version: 6.0.0

Too expensive!!!My two year old enjoyed this app right up until she couldn’t access the next level. TOTAL MELT DOWN! I think it’s really uncool how the app gives NO option to hide this, so’s the child is not upset and as parents we’re not made to feel completely horrible should we choose not to purchase more levels (although I believe this to be the creators intent) NOT COOL >:( !!! Also, there are “NO bundle & save options.. NO discounts of ANY kind! I gotta admit.. I thought getting this game would help me with entertaining with my little one being home everyday & working from home myself, instead it added more stress to a very challenging time as it is. I’m afraid if I delete it, she’ll only make her more upset. Com’n LEGO, I’m sure you can do better for you’re current & potential customers..Version: 7.1.0

Great gameNeeds family sharing though.Version: 15.3.0

It forgets you purchased the add oneMy kid loves this app but I am sick of him bringing me his iPad asking me to unlock things I have already paid to unlock , sometime you go to unlock them and it kindly tells you that you have already purchase them and they unlock , sometimes it lets you pay for them again , I paid twice for at least 2 dlc’s , I know as I unlock every one upon release , I won’t be paying again for any new content unless they are all unlocked again , no other app does this. Tip , don’t be so paranoid people will obtain your content for free that you end up screwing over those that pay..Version: 12.0.0

Not like the old oneI don’t like this one I liked the one where you had this pizza bit and you could make your own house and there was an airport and a park but I can’t remember what it was called. And this one you have to pay to like actually have fun where with the old one you didn’t have to pay please bring back the old one even if you had this one and the old one please..Version: 10.0.0

No family sharing for in-app purchasesIt’s ridiculous that my children cannot both access the in-app purchases under family sharing. Feeling very ripped off..Version: 2.6.0

Family sharing of purchases does NOT work.I look for family sharing when I get apps for my kids. That way they can both have it on their own iPads without any arguments. This says it supports Family sharing, however it does not. I got the app and bought a bundle on my phone thinking I'd be able to restore the purchase on my kids iPads but nope. I only get a no purchase to restore message. It's sad because my kids really love the game but at these prices I'm not about to purchase each level or bundle for each of their iPads..Version: 8.0.0

When you buy the app it doesn’t release all the new levels?!My little buddy loves the app, but after spending $20 to unlock the levels. (what is is already outrageously expensive!!) a week or two later a new level comes out and now i would have to pay $5 again?! For that price the app should be for free for every level that comes out after..Version: 7.0.0

Over-priced and still dealing with adsThe game is fun but grossly over-priced for what it is, and even paying the exorbitant yearly price, you still have to deal with ads and whinging children wanting the next thing. I will not be renewing for the next year..Version: 14.0.0

No In-App Sharing for PurchasesI have three kids and I bought this app thinking they could all use it on their devices. They can’t. It’s a really cute app and they loved playing it on my device. Now that they each have their own iPad though they are upset they can’t play the locked games. Apple support told me that this is an app that doesn’t do family sharing for purchases. I would have spent $30 just so they all could have had it. I’m not spending $66 though. Too bad. Don’t buy if you’re trying to share it with all your kids..Version: 5.7.0

NOT FREEYou have to pay.Version: 7.0.0

Good games ruined by profiteeringThe games are good but the whole experience is ruined by the continual upsell, the fact the in-app games are expensive is one thing - happy to make an intelligent decision on my wether to buy but the locked games are always present in the rotating menu as locked PLUS extra advertising for the Marvel game. In practice for my Toddler it means he is continually clicking on locked games he cannot play, and presented with multiple annoying prompts. The only real way to get rid of this is to purchase all the in-app games at a very expensive 6/7 pounds monthly for life… I assume even if you did this you’d still get upsell for the Marvel game so even this doesn’t solve the problem. This kind of exploitation is not worthy of the LEGO brand and they should kick these greedy developers to the curb..Version: 15.2.0

This took effortWhy do you make little three year olds that play this pay for their games, that’s just rude and what’s the god damn (excuse my language) point of downloading the game if you have to buy it all?!? I would definitely recommend not to download it, it’s a big waste of time, space and money..Version: 6.0.0

Beware of upsellBought a bundle previously that covered all games. New update adds locked content which you have to pay $5 for. Now, I’m sure the developers will point out that they have the right to add additional content, but just be warned that every time they do, you’ll get incessantly asked by your kids to purchase the new levels. If they want to do it this way, they should have the courtesy to allow parents to hide levels from the main selection screen. The way it works is an obvious plow to continuously upsell you for more money..Version: 4.0.0

Age guidance is inaccurateAs many other users, I think the modules for the game are overpriced for the content provided. I did pay for a 4 game package after downloading the game, but in some modules, such as the zoo one, the content is very limited. My 2 year old granddaughter likes it but my 5 year old grandson becomes bored very quickly, there’s just not either enough content or challenge. I think an age of 18 months+ would be more accurate. I think also, having read other reviews that the issue of paying a lump sum for “all” content needs clearing up. Does it mean all that is available at the time, or does it include future modules? The latter is what I would expect..Version: 10.2.1

Publicité ++ adressé aux enfantsImpossible pour un enfant de jouer à ce jeux sans avoir à tout bout de champ une publicité qui lui apparaît pour un jeu payant. Décevant pour un jeu s’adressant aux tout petit.Version: 19.1.0

I’m 8It is awesome yayayayyayy I love it thank you.Version: 9.1.0

No sharing of in-app purchases, sad 4yoMy 4yo son bought many of the extra games with his own allowance on my iPad but now has his own and we can’t access any of the games because in-app purchases can’t be transferred with family sharing. It seems the purchasing also doesn’t work with parental controls enabled, which seems ridiculous for a preschool game!!.Version: 12.1.0

Dear LEGOI had it downloaded before but all of a sudden one day they decided to change it and make money for it and half of it isn’t even unlocked.😑😐😶🙄☹️😒😤😡.Version: 6.0.0

Disappointed 😕My three year old is a big DUPLO fan. We bought the full bundle which he loves and has been played with a lot. I like that it develops skills too. However, I’m very disappointed by the new ‘play house’ add on. Definitely not worth the money. No games or skills like the other sections. You just walk around the rooms moving things around. It won’t keep him amused for long I’m afraid..Version: 3.0.1

Disappointing in app purchasesGreat app for kids but there are fundamental flaws with the in app purchases. Two complaints specifically. Firstly, the cake puzzle IAP unlocks 3 very basic cake puzzles for £1.79. It takes my 3 year old 2 minutes to make them. Extremely poor value for money - very disappointing. Secondly, we have been using the app since it was released and we purchased all of the available worlds individually. It now appears that there is additional content for which we can pay a yearly subscription. But in doing so we effectively pay for the content we have already purchased again. Previous purchases should be taken into account when calculating the cost of future IAPs and the structure of IAPs should be consistent. Otherwise longer term customers are penalised..Version: 10.1.0

Child game with no family sharing!?!?We use to love this game. We pay for DUPLO World and DUPLO Marvel because we loved them so much. I finally set up family sharing though so my kids could play on their iPad and not my phone…. Well guess what, it doesn’t work! I have seen all these things saying there is a “work around” but it hasn’t worked for us. Very disappointing! There are responses from the developers that are over two years old saying they are working on fixing it but there is no fix in sight. I just think it’s crazy that a game made for toddler can’t be shared with the family..Version: 19.0.0

Cash grab!I honestly don’t understand why all of the games can’t be linked together for one subscription price like Sago Mini! There’s a new game every couple of months so if you want variety you need to pay a separate subscription for all of the games or $5 per set for four worlds (Duplo World, Marvel, Mickey, and now Peppa the spoiled Pig) which is Ridiculous! I’ve spent more money on annual subscriptions than I have at the Lego shop and my children own EVERY Duplo set that has been released since 2018 even the re-colors..Version: 23.0.0

Too expensiveUnless you are prepared to buy all the packs, dont download it for kids with asd. They just get frustrated by the locked packs..Version: 20.0.0

Please unlock more levelsSo my younger sister likes this game but she says there’s one big fat problem there’s only one level to play and she’s BIG on medical stuff like how I was when I was 5 so all I’m asking is to unlock about like half the levels including the doctor one please my sister and I would be thankful. Now I would rate more point if more levels were unlocked thank you.Version: 17.0

WhyI liked the game where you built houses and airports but....WHY THIS!?!?!!! Lego you keep changing the one game when you can just make new games.Version: 1.6.0

Utter scamWhile the app is great and keeps a toddler entertained, it’s is not worth it when you have to try and explain why new activities are added so regularly but remain locked until we stump up an extra £4.99. I think I’ve spent around £20 unlocking activities so far, and yet more still get added, adding more confusion about why toddler suddenly can’t play with them! Please either leave the app as it is; or give loyal users who already paid for the “full app” access for free..Version: 4.0.0

My son loves it but wish it was affordableI am loving the educational value of the free train set & I think it’s great to have free sample, however the annual charge is just completely out of reach & over the top. I think if it were a one off or not so expensive I would consider it. Unfortunately we are not willing to purchase it for the current cost annually. Edit to add, not entirely a fair cost based on quite a high number of reviewers. Maybe something to consider..Version: 9.0.0

Excessively expensiveFar to much for what it does. Blows my mind how much LEGO can charge given they are global.Version: 3.1.1

Doplo worldIt is quite hard get under sea.Version: 2.6.0

Do not buy!Have purchased twice and both times after a few days, the upgrade packs lock and the restore function won’t work. Both times I have paid for the full bundle. It takes am absolute age to sort out and results in a very upset child and frustrated parent. Definitely avoid..Version: 2.8.0

Constant crashing and doesn’t work offlineMy son liked the free offerings from this game so we decided to buy a 9.99 pack of 3 activities. Well as expected the first time we opened the game I connected to the internet to download the content. While downloading the game crashed multiple times. We finally got all 3 activities downloaded and 2 minutes after he started playing it crashed again. We opened the game back up and it needed to download all 3 again (crashing multiple times) every time the app closes, whether through the constant crashing or if we just close it, it always needs to download again, making it useless on a car trip or anywhere offline. Very Disappointed!.Version: 8.0.0

Kids love itGreat little game but awful price to unlock all the levels that they obviously want after months of playing the free levels over and over. We also have the same problem on both iPads it’s on.... NO SOUND. I’ve checked the sound button is in, volume turned up high and nothing coming out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Version: 3.1.0

A lot of work! The lack of family sharing and price aside this game is poorly planned. The game doesn’t automatically download all of the games. You have to manually open each game for it to download. Woe to the parent who discovers none of the puzzles or games are downloaded at 1200 feet and no Wi-Fi. There should be a page in the parent portal with the option to download each game, like in Sago Mini World. My kids love this game and we are happy to pay but its annoying how much maintenance this app requires..Version: 18.0.0

Duplo TownWhat happened to Duplo Town? And also this game is horrible.Version: 2.8.0

Not as interesting as it soundsMy kids liked number train so we bought the rest. Looks like number train was the best one! Waste of money. I’ll try to cancel and get reimbursed. Not educational and the people don’t talk. I had hoped there would be language learning with these games too but apart from counting to ten, they just squeak..Version: 2.8.0

Family shareWould be great if the is app enables family sharing..Version: 7.1.0

Deceiving pricingPaid for this app for my grand children. Thought I was purchasing the whole thing for $4.99. Received a message saying payment did not go through. Tried again. There were still several games that were locked so I tried again. Realized later that I had spent $15 and still many games are locked. Very frustrating for the grandchildren when they can’t play many of the games. Other apps Have unlocked all games when you paid the money. I’m sure it’s my mistake but not happy about it..Version: 10.2.1

Dev needs to turn on IAP family sharingGreat game for kids but needing to rebuy in-app purchases for each family member is totally a no. Please turn on family sharing for IAP and then this game would be 4-5 stars.Version: 13.0.0

RubbishHonestly on of the worst apps for toddlers you could think about. It’s so expensive for what you actually get and the controls are frustrating for kids. I’ve downloaded it 5 minutes ago and now will be asking for a refund due to not being fit for purpose. Do yourself a favour and avoid this game.Version: 5.7.0

Most frustrating purchaseI bought the monthly subscription so that my kids can access all the worlds and like many others have said, for whatever reason, every month the kids end up not having access to 75% of the worlds because they somehow aren’t included in the monthly “unlock all” subscription. This is the third month in a row this has happened and although my kids have loved this game immensely we are cancelling because they can’t play with most of it!!!!.Version: 20.0.0

I like it but I also don’tFirst, only the number train is open and you have to pay just to get more apps. Next, You only have a limited number of games on the number train. Then, when my little brother sees a type of level he wants it but I do not want to pay 4 dollars just for one game. Finally, when I go to delete the app my little brother cries do then I download it again, he ends up wanting all the levels of.Version: 5.7.0

It okay! It’s is an okay game but it’s expensive you can only play one game for free.Version: 6.1.0

Really nice appLove this app for my 3yo. We have all of the worlds available. Just really would like the arrows that move to the next screen moved. My toddler accidentally bumps them all the time and we loose where we are at in the game. Leads to lots of frustrations..Version: 6.2.0

Family Sharing Will NOT workI have purchased each “Set” as they have come out over the years on one device. I just set up family sharing as I have a new device for my youngest and want to move all his stuff over. This is the only game wanting me to repurchase each set OR all of a sudden pay 50 bucks per year. Even though it clearly states up to 6 people can use this app with family sharing. As much as my son loves and plays this game I refuse to purchase everything all over again. Update: I have sent all the receipts I can find as well as a video of the game fully unlocked on one of my devices. I am awaiting a response. Update: This issue is still being worked on, my ticket is not yet closed so I am not sure why the company has posted an update alluding to such. My last correspondence with CS was at 12:17pm today and I have yet to hear back. still cannot add the purchased items to other devices linked via family plan as of 6:30pm 12/10..Version: 10.0.0

I miss the old gamesAs a kid I downloaded multiple FREE duplo games (when they weren’t money hungry) and I remember the one where you make an ice cream and the giraffes serves you :( why is it gone? Shame on you guys.Version: 6.0.0

Family sharing is a scamThis app was purchased for my son who is not able to make purchase on his iPad due to age limit. After purchase with my ID and enabled family sharing my son was still unable to play on his iPad as the game is still locked. In the game it says allow family sharing and I understand the purchase is not consumable type of purchase I.e. coins or gems. So I would like apple to either provide a solution to play the game on my sons iPad or refund. Update After all troubleshooting it still doesn’t work. Restore purchase keeps failing all the time..Version: 8.1.1

Too expensive!!!🤯The younger 3year old children cannot purchase a GAME!!! All I am begging you for is to make some more of the packs free please please!!!.Version: 22.0.0

Great game but you have to buy new levelsUnless you get the annual package, you have to constantly purchase new worlds because they appear on the game and of course your child wants them! So they nag and nag about getting the new level. Don’t get suckered into paying $25 for all levels (only the current ones they have you’ll get) or $5 for one world because you will be bugged to buy the rest. And new worlds are always added so it NEVER ENDS. Check out Sago Mini World, they are similar and create new worlds that are always included with your subscription. You pay monthly or annually kind of like this game but you get all the worlds or none. Instead of this game where you spend $25 thinking you’ll never pay that again for new levels... hahaha..Version: 9.1.0

Great but asking for more money! My 3 year old loves this app, purchased the full package and now they update with a new scene and guess what they asking for more money! Joke if you going to update, add more scene and then ask for more money when someone has already purchased a full package deal!.Version: 3.0.1

Glitchy ... very expensive & some games only short livedEvery time they update the app it crashes ... every new game is $5 and some are seasonal... the new valentine update does nothing but crash app... can't play any of $30+ worth of games that we bought ..... constantly having to delete and reinstall app and that only works 1/2 the time ..... I wish I never got this app and my son who loves the games when they work would not be asking me constantly about fixing this app ..... not worth the aggravation.Version: 5.7.0

Buying “all the activities” doesn’t include future activitiesDon’t purchase the pack that includes all the activities in an attempt to never have to buy anything from this app again. They just added a new activity and now my kid is whining because it’s locked. And I’m not spending another $5 on an activity that probably isn’t worth it. As, most of this game wasn’t worth the cost. The building areas are especially frustrating. It’s hard to find the color and type of block you want, and even harder to tell what you need from the tiny picture..Version: 6.0.0

SadThis app was a great app for kids but now has developed into an app to portray other agendas to encourage kids to adapt to ideals that celebrate a type of lifestyle that people have chose to live calling it pride. So I will no longer allow our kids to use the duplo app…. Why include agendas to force these beliefs and ideals that should not be portrayed to a child in their developing years of growth. Why should any person force their lifestyle on anyone? Everyone has a choice and each person will face the consequences and give an account for the life they live. Let’s get back to keeping learning and education to a good foundation in the important values not forcing alternative lifestyles to be excepted. Just because a person believes something is right for them does not make it right..Version: 17.1.0

This is cool but a little upsetting.I wanted to play this game to bring back memories of Duplo games. I saw this and wanted it, thinking it has all the games for free. Now, I know that I get these games and get like 5 for free but in this there was only 1 free game! The rest weren’t available unless I payed. I didn’t want to pay for memories or whatever. I would probably get rid of it later. I still love it though. Keep up the good work, Duplo! ❤️.Version: 12.1.1

Waste of moneyThe problem of this app is you have to pay which is a waste of money. Please make this app free so that it worth downloading again..Version: 2.8.0

Cute but...Nice games but nowhere near worth the price as they are so limited, and some are actually quite fiddly. Basically a small child will exhaust this in about 10 mins, and find some of the glitches very frustrating as the blocks don’t always move the way you want them to. Should have read the reviews before shelling out 😫.Version: 2.7.0

Great kids game that's fun for adults tooMy son absolutely loves this game. It's great for young minds because it gives a little structure to the gameplay to get them started but also lets them free play. He would spend all day playing if we let him. The only problem with the app is that I spent the money to buy the additional levels and he can only play it on my phone, not my husband's phone or our tablet. For the cost of the game, I really wish he could play it on other devices in our family..Version: 8.0.0

Bad gameBad bad bad😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡no it’s not fun.Version: 3.2.0

Need option to hideThe content is great, my kid loves playing these and they have some nice educational elements. But please, as this game is aimed at the young children age group, give us an option to hide non-purchased content! You’re making it a bad experience for parents when our children come begging for a new piece of content and we have to walk the tightrope between buying another $8 and a tantrum..Version: 10.3.0

The App Gets Really Expensive For What it IsThe app cost $20 and each time there is an add-on my 4 and 6 year olds will beg me for it. So far it’s added 3 add-ons. In total $35 for an app that my kids enjoy, but only use for 10-15 minutes every once in awhile before getting bored and moving on to another app. But every time there is a new add-on, cue the meltdowns until I break down and purchase it for them. For what it is I don’t think it is worth the cost. It would be nice if there was a setting to hide new add-ons so my children wouldn’t see that there was something new. Toca Life World has a setting where you can lock/hide the shop, why can’t this app? I guess that would lower their sales..Version: 6.2.0

Bit deceiving...My son loves duplo and loves these games, so decided that we would bite the bullet and buy it, even though it was quite expensive. Thought he would get the use out of it esp since it says it supports family sharing... well actually it doesn’t. The app which is free is supported by family sharing but that doesn’t matter because you could just download it for free anyways. The in app purchases, unlocking it which costs £16 doesn’t share. So if we want it on another family device we have to pay again! Wouldn’t of bought it if I had known that, thinks it’s very devious to do it like that! If it was a few quid I wouldn’t be bothered but £16 a pop is very expensive!! X x x x.Version: 3.1.0

The add on games are ridiculously priced and a bit predatoryThe initial price is fantastic and gives you a lot of content. But then the new add-ons that are added after that cost $5 a pop and the amount of content that’s added is ridiculous and should only cost 2 or 3 dollars at most. Obviously they just anticipate your kid crying cause you won’t unlock it and just giving in which I feel is a bit predatory of them. I’d rather get my kid a whole different game for that $5..Version: 8.0.0

Your kids might like it but it’s not a good appI love lego and duplo products so it leaves me confused that they would put so little effort into making an app for children. This app does not seem to have educational merit. Not sure if my kids learn…. Anything at all. It’s basically nonsense. $4.99 for each “theme zone” or an unseemly $30 for all the theme zones. Each zone has themes like airport or zoo, but nothing connects them together and what you do in each zone is… You just drag pieces around and stack them up like real pieces😳real metaverse stuff going on here. Anyway, my kids play around with it and usually get bored quickly. Waste of money..Version: 9.1.0

No purchase sharingHave it on daughters iPad also downloaded on my phone and purchased the full pack for her iPad off my phone. wasted my money because it doesn’t do purchase sharing. Other than that like the game for her.Version: 10.3.0

DisappointedBought £20 worth of games and there is no sound, all my other apps on the iPad have sound, so it is the definitely the app that is the issue. Very upset about this, especially because one of the games I purchased was the house, which consists of the disco room and we cannot hear a thing. What a waste of my money.Version: 9.1.0

So many glitchesYou’d think the amount of money this app costs the glitches would get fixed in a timely manner. The tree house area has not worked properly since release. This was not cheap to unlock and it should be tested before it gets released. Please fix this!.Version: 18.1.0

Great app, but no family sharingKids really love the app, but in households like ours with multiple devices, just uneconomical to purchase on each device. Would be perfect app for family sharing given its target audience. Other than that quality of each app is great and often educational (sometimes only loosely, but still great interaction activity)..Version: 10.1.0

Whose genius idea was it to not include an exit button, then?Put this on for my baby cousin and grew increasingly frustrated and angry by the second because THERE IS NO WAY TO EXIT THE STUPID GAME! I had to Lock Screen and then quickly swipe up on my screen when going back off Lock Screen so I could stop running the entire page. Maybe there is and I couldn’t figure it out… still a bad sign if someone like me (digital native) couldn’t figure it out..Version: 14.0.0

No sound if the app is shared to another device.I have purchased a full version at 17$ because it is Very well made and my son actually learns by hearing the numbers. I shared the app to my iPhone 10 and the app has no sound. I re installed it, still no sound. This is a bug!!!! Needs to be fixed.Version: 2.6.0

Don’t buyThe game is fun but the full unlock is ridiculously expensive (and it’s an annual subscription!) and the unlocked levels are all much smaller than the free level so the apparent value appears higher than it really is. Also the app says “may be shareable” for Family Sharing but it isn’t so you’re either required to buy it again for multiple devices OR follow a stupid workaround to unlock the app purchases on multiple devices - why? Just make it work with Family Sharing!.Version: 8.1.1

Absurd$8 to unlock EACH game is absurd. It should be no more than $4 per game. Those games are very small and not worth $8 each. Should be $20 annually. Not $42 plus tax. What are you thinking?...Version: 10.1.0

Won’t work after updateMy 3 year old absolutely loves this game and was excited to update it only to find when we did it no longer works! All you get is a blank screen before the app crashes. I now have a really disappointed little boy who can’t play his favourite game! Really annoyed considering the amount we spent to unlock all the games!!.Version: 5.7.0

UpsetSo my grandson LOVES this app. He likes it so much that I have bought almost all the upgrades as he has ask for them. We invested another $10 this week to buy 2 more levels. Had a blast playing them before he went to bed that night. The next day those two and one other that I purchased before are now locked again. How do I get my $15 back for the 3 levels I bought and now can’t get into. He wanted me to buy them again. Nope! I will delete the whole app and just tell him its gone..Version: 6.1.0

No sound ios 14.6Wasted my money for my daughter. No sound! Please fix it!.Version: 10.2.1

Restricted family sharingIt’s good but if your kids iPad has a problem none of the in app purchases share to other devices, so you need to buy them on every device, seems a bit scammy to me but otherwise my kid loves it, just don’t let the battery go flat..Version: 17.1.0

AngryNot very happy to have paid the $30+ to unlock everything within the game not to find they’ve been locked again and are asking me to pay for it all again. Tried restoring purchases but that did nothing. Very disappointed and angry. Don’t waste your money people..Version: 8.1.1

Good but so limitedThe ideas are good here but no where near enough content. For £4.99 for an add on I expect way more. My son had done everything there was to do within about 15 minutes! Plus there is no music or sounds. Not working. Probably worth getting the free bit but DO NOT spend any money here.Version: 1.6.0

Constantly crashesPaid for the full version a while back but as of today all games are unplayable as it keeps crashing. Some crash while loading, others during gameplay. Not acceptable for such an expensive app. I’ve reinstalled, restarted and done all the troubleshooting I could think of but it’s made no difference..Version: 20.0.0

Not goodThe thing is there is only one free thing on this and that’s the number train…….even then it’s not good. The number train has a goal that pretty much every kid can achieve………my young relative found this boring as he didn’t need to know how to count from one to ten. Please make at least SOMETHING else free. And not only that, but there’s this terrible glitch going on with the number train. When my young relative places a block where IT IS MEANT TO BE the game,s charecters keep removing the block and telling him it is wrong. Please fix that glitch.(btw I’m 11 and my young relative is 6).Version: 9.1.0

Overpriced and has graphical glitchesSide puzzles are super overpriced. Can’t believe I paid $3 for just 3 cupcake puzzles that even my three year old solved in 30 seconds. Please rethink how you price the size puzzle or be very clear that these are just mini activities. The puzzles are super glitchy too. Pieces get stucked and need a restart to fix..Version: 10.1.0

Modules are too expensiveI’m sorry Lego, but £4.99 per scene is pretty much indefensible. (Further to developers email) I disagree with your view about the free content verses cost. I think the quality of work is very good. However I also agree with other purchasers that there is limited interaction on each page for what you pay. Try telling a 3 year old that that can’t have something (that is clearly visible on screen) because you feel it’s too expensive -It’s clearly designed to leverage as much money as possible. £18 to unlock everything is, frankly, breathtaking. Fully fledged LEGO licensed software on other platforms are a similar amount. You need to reduce the price..Version: 2.8.0

HelpTHERE IS NOTHING FOR MY 3 YEAR OLD SON TO DO.Version: 11.0.0

JokeWould love to give them more stars but the fact I pay yearly for this app and have done for almost 4 years when they decided to change the pay everything price even though I’ve already paid they took all the content away and basically my autistic son can’t do anything is a joke Ohh and don’t contact there support I have already done this and it’s been over 3 week of still waiting for a reply.Version: 18.1.0

LolIs good but not like great or something my 8 year old sister doesn’t get mad or a bunch easily when making her try to laugh hard for her to get annoyed but it was funny that it took him a few minutes before figuring out she could move her train lol. (That was a bit mean).Version: 18.1.0

OverpricedNice app but definitely overpriced. There is many others for free which keep kids entertained. Only because it is Lego DUPLO I buy from time to time for my son (monthly) but it is not worth it. After one 1 year subscription I will never do this again. For that money it should be one off payment and access to games should be unlimited also offline. Only if someone would like to get upgraded version then another payment could be required.Version: 22.0.0

╭∩╮(ಠ_ಠ)╭∩╮Too much locked things 😤.Version: 3.0.1

Fun, but constant “you need to unlock” sales and no family sharingDon’t get me wrong, the kids love this app. But be prepared for the app to aggressively push additional purchases or monthly subscription. To top it off these greedy developers don’t let you share in-app purchases with children! We recently set up our eldest child with his own AppleID as he’s getting old enough. BUT NOW HE NEEDS TO RE-PURCHASE ALL OF THE UNLOCKED CONTENT. Even though he’s a child account linked to mine. Just plain greedy. He’d already saved his pocket money to buy them. Super disappointing..Version: 16.0.1

It’s good, but not parent friendlyI have a 7 year old autistic daughter and she loves the Lego Duplo apps. My problem is that she can click on the logo and be directed to all the other available apps. If you’re going to advertise all your apps (and there are several!) Make a package deal instead of trying to milk parents for $6.99/month per app. Also, don’t advertise apps that aren’t available yet. My daughter is having a meltdown right now because she wants to play the Peppa Pig app and doesn’t understand what preorder means. I’ve tried explaining to her it’s not available yet, but because it says download next to it she thinks that means it can be downloaded..Version: 23.0.0

Great app, but changed without warningGreat app, and my child loves it, especially the number train. She would play the game long with her actual DUPLO figures to match the train. Now however, the train has changed to new figures without asking or warning. Is this a sneaky ploy to buy the new physical set? Not really happy that no choice is given..Version: 7.1.0

Too ExpensiveFar too expensive for a kid game but each one does not really do much. RIP off game to be honest..Version: 4.6.0

Lego duplo un gros zéroBug sans arrêt et la première pages avec les chiffres super tout le reste zéro j’aurais jamais dû dépenser tout cette argent la sur cette app la.Version: 10.1.0

Keep charging for new releasesIt was fun at first, but seriously you guys shouldn’t keep charging for every new releases, we have an option to buy Thye whole pack at a discounted price when it was first started, but with every new releases, you are still gonna charge full price on those releases, this is just upright ripped off!.Version: 5.0.0

No Family Sharing - total waste of time unless availableIt’s appalling to me that a game designed for under 5 children is not allowed for family sharing. This is a money grab on their end and a super easy fix that they literally click a box to allow for family sharing. The developer responses are total cop outs and while a fun game my son likes, it’s useless without family sharing. Use Crayola Create & Play instead - they easily allow for family sharing. Incredibly disappointed by this..Version: 13.0.0

Unethical / paid for Bundle and only access 2 gamesI paid for the the full bundle and now you have updated the games my daughter can only access 2 games???? If you add games old games should not be deleted otherwise you are deceiving customers and it’s more like a subscription rather than a bundle purchase Extremely disappointed and upset!!.Version: 6.0.0

Not worth it42$ for 12 games and 6 puzzles. NOT WORTH IT DO NOT BUY!!!!!!.Version: 10.2.1

DOES NOT WORK WITH FAMILY SHARINGI had my husband buy this with family sharing because I thought I read it would transfer. Unfortunately now I’m seeing that it doesn’t transfer and we were supposed to buy with our daughters account (we don’t have credit associated with her account for good reason). Will update this review after I found out if customer service is reasonable enough to reimburse our money. *update: customer service offered us a credit to repurchase on our daughters account. Apple ended up refunding us the purchase, though, and so we just repurchased from her iPad. I still wasn’t happy to authorize a credit card to be used on a toddler’s account so please figure out family sharing!.Version: 10.4.0

Problem with the sound? My toddler loves this app but the sound no longer works? It used to and he had a ton of run with the fire trucks and animals but now there’s no sound at all. I’ve tried messing around with the sound within and outside the app, tried removing and re-downloading the app, but still nothing. Is it a bug? He gets so frustrated that he can’t hear any of the noises (all other apps with sounds work).Version: 14.2.0

The app is ok but it needs more featuresHi I am Nora and the app is good for babies.Version: 2.0.0

Great game but content still locked after purchase!!This. Game is great for young children and I would have given 5 stars if they unlocked the new items for people who have bought the full version. We paid for the full game which is quite pricey in my opinion and the new content is still locked!! My kids really want to play the food truck but I am not willing to pay more money for a game that I paid full price for!!! DO NOT PAY FOR THE FULL GAME BECAUSE THEY KEEP ASKING FOR MONEY FOR NEW CONTENT TO BE UNLOCKED..Version: 5.7.0

New Content inaccessibleI have recently subscribed for a monthly plan but I’m unable to access and download the unlocked content. It always says “something went wrong, check my connection”. My internet connection is just fine..Version: 17.0

It is not the best !!!Theirs not enough games to play for free ..Version: 15.1.0

Family sharing does not workBought full access, however cannot have this on my sons tablet as well as mine without using my Apple ID on his device rather than his- which is ridiculous. Why would a children’s app not support family sharing?.Version: 9.1.0

Pay to playPaid $4.99 for not a lot of content. Beware of the price to amount of content ratio. Not worth it. *Update* the company emailed me back to correct me because they didn’t like my feedback. At the price of $4.99 you can get 6 modules where you where your kid can learn numbers 1-9 on only 2 of them. All the other 4 modules are just “creative spaces” to drag and drop legos, numbers and characters…. All the other learning modules are unlocked with a monthly subscription or you pay to unlock them individually. Save your money buy your kid coloring books and teach them numbers yourself..Version: 19.1.0

Too expensiveThe games are cute, sometimes a little difficult to figure out what the point is in certain scenarios. My biggest complaint is how expensive they are. $5 for each little world when the content in each is so minimal. It just doesn’t make sense. My toddlers like to play with it and want to buy new worlds because they get bored with one in a few minutes but I have to explain that it’s too expensive to buy all of them. It’s just a shame because it’s not enough value for the high cost..Version: 22.0.0

Deceiving in app purchasesI paid for the in app purchase to unlock everything. Yet now another level has appeared and it’s not included. This is incredibly deceiving and dishonest. What makes it worse, is the new level is right there at the start on the main menu. My 2 year old son cannot understand why he can’t play it. The developers know exactly what they are doing to put parents in a difficult position, where they are pressured to buy. There’s also no way to try the new level without paying. So how are we supposed to know if it’s any good? ——— Response to the developer: thanks for your reply but it’s clear that the way you think it works is not how your customers think it works, when they pay for the unlock everything in-app purchase. And judging by the number of negative reviews mentioning the same thing over and over... you’re obviously quite happy with this arrangement. Because it means you carry on using children to pressurise their parents/care-givers into buying more games. It’s shameful..Version: 5.0.0

Don’t get this gameMy three year old sonCried because there were only one thing unlocked and it was extremely boring he almost bought it don’t get this game if you want your kid to be incredibly sad.Version: 10.1.0

Great idea, so frustrating to useMy daughter loves Lego and the Lego train but the app is far too sensitive to move from one section to another it makes playing it a very annoying experience. Even when I am using it I find myself having to pull the train back to each activity every other movement. Not ideal for a two year old at all. If they could make it a bit better that way so the child could actually spend some time on each activity then it would be great..Version: 2.0.0

Great but disappointingWhile this app is great, its biggest downfall is that you have to pay to unlock anything else other than the few parts that are unlocked when you download the app. Why can't you progress and unlock each section as you go? $9ish a month is crazy compared to other apps that allow you to unlock everything for $15 max. I actually hate leaving bad feedback but I'm extremely disappointed in this app..Version: 23.0.0

Too expensiveIf it’s on sale, go for it, but otherwise wait..Version: 4.6.0

Should have read the reviewsI am a huge lego fan, and have a huge basket of duplos for my two year old as well. I tried the app with him, and he enjoyed the train enough that I closed my eyes and spent $20 for everything. It’s the most I’ve ever spent on an app, and thought it was very expensive then. I now know that updates are not included. I’ve read the MANY “you bought a 4/5 discounted bundle” responses from the developers, and yet they don’t make it clear up front that all future updates will cost additional money. I wish I could reverse the update, because now I either have to delete the app entirely, spend the additional money, or really upset my toddler that he can’t open the tractor game. Not happy at all..Version: 7.0.0

Has changed a lot!Well, when I was younger, this game was very fun and I love this game so much but then aiya grew older and stopped playing it and deleted it and today I just saw it on the App Store and I realized that this was a game that I used to love to play so I download it expecting a doll house where I could see the inside of it and I could play with the characters you know the little Lego characters and then I saw a train and you can only go forward and backwards, and that was literally the only thing I could do without spending money and I was shocked and even the things that do not cost money. None of the options seems to be the little playhouse that I used to play on so not what I expected but other than that it’s a really good game for Littles and you should buy it!.Version: 17.1.0
