✓ Cats, cats, everywhereI’ve never felt so safe since installing the Arlo system. The detection is amazing and clear. In the first four weeks, we discovered that our front yard was on the local cat transit lane. We have clear recordings of the cats as they leave each night, always in the same direction, and then return in the morning. Left to right, one cat after another. I swear that the lead cat stopped and glared at the camera as if warning me that it new I was there and if I shared what I knew I’d be eliminated. I felt the death stare right through to my soul. If we can see murderous intent in the eyes of a cat, I can only imagine how good Arlo would be detecting humans. Best system ever..Version: 3.2.2
✓ Brings peace of mindWe have had a three camera system up for over 6 months. The cameras have worked amazing, even in negative winter temperatures in northern Wisconsin, (way north). The two outside cameras that are exposed to full weather and temperatures have only had problems when we were -30 degrees and lower. They will shutdown if to cold, but come back on when it warms up. The third camera is protected a little more and it doesn’t get any colder than 35 degrees and has had no problems. Strong wifi is needed to support the system. We are currently using Starlink satellite and have no problems with delay or coverage. The video clarity is very good and the stored video library has been helpful on several occasions. We have a $9.99 monthly membership. We recommend buying the official Arlo power cords to plug-in if your cameras will have a lot of activity. Otherwise you will be changing/charging your battery, (XL battery), every three days. The two cameras that have extensive activity for detection we have hooked up to Arlo outdoor power cords. The one camera that has very little activity, the battery goes several months between charges. Other family members also have Arlo cameras and they are very happy too. Random pros are we have been able to monitor weather conditions while away from home, get great video of wildlife and monitor people that may be up to no good, but see our security cameras. ✓ Arlo security systemOverall the arlo security system is good, but there are a few areas and operational used that should be improved on! I have two locations with one having a Pro 2 system with 5 cameras. I also have another Arlo security system Pro 3 located in another State with 4 cameras ! The problem I have others have when they have two systems at Different locations is that you can not have both system controlled ( armed and disarmed etc) on one device like a iPhone or iPad ? You need two different accounts on two different devices ? Why ?!! Also if you buy a system say a 3 camera system they only allow one additional camera on the system unless you pay $10 a month fee for any additional cameras ? There also a few minor issues with controlling each device arming and disarming separately On the Pro 3 system as compared to the Pro system ! I am amazed on today technology that the engineers at Arlo cannot solve these basic issues and product a system that is a leading edge in security systems for the buck ! Overall I like Arlo but as stated above the system has its draw backs and issues !.Version: 4.3.5
✓ It’s just works... mostlyOverall it’s pretty easy to set up and use. Have only had system for a week but appears good in terms of function. What it would be good to have is more user defined settings around alerts, face or car recognition if possible and there is no Apple Watch app which is disappointing as I read somewhere that there was. It is sporadic at doing notifications on the watch but full function, video and voice, would be nice. Overall so far I’m happy with arlo..Version: 2.12.1
✓ Feel like a curtain twitcher..Its a fab app, i feel safer knowing that the Arlo bell is super sensitive and detects animals and humans in the perimeters i have given it. Im literally at the end of the houses at the end of the road at the end of an estate at the end of a town and i cannot believe how busy just 3 households can be, now i can see when my neighbours go out, come in, when the postie turns up, workmen, other deliveries and dustman, even the young child walking past picking his nose.. Its good that l have the short, clear videos to check. I have yet to hear the doorbell by pressed and to speal to someone, so ill reserve that review for later :).Version: 3.6
✓ GoodFew things needs to update as my experience with cameras. I’m using phone app for control cameras and there are few things what I can’t set up. Motion detection set it up for only people but still pick up motion from cars etc. Also set up zone is hard because it not allowing for set the different shape for zone, only square. It is bit annoying because all cameras are connect to the Alexa and announcing everything not just people. ( camera only set for people) I’m wondering would it be better and more accurate setting if I will buy the hub? Otherwise Arlo is good security pice of mind!.Version: 4.11
✓ Great but could be betterGreat app! But could definitely have more functions to be able to change settings on seperate cameras. Hoping the camera isn’t drained when my dog is running around the house all day? I want to only capture and send video to the cloud of a person entering, seeing 100 videos of our dog running round the yard is semi annoying. Scheduling also doesn’t understand if I want them working overnight, figured it out but didn’t make it easy! Other than that, they work great and capture decent footage and in enjoying using them..Version: 3.6.5
✓ AwesomeIt’s amazing, the quality it really really clear and so it the audio. It has only started recording a bit late when someone approaches the door like 3 times since I got it 4 months ago and people come and go to my house including package delivery about 20-25 times a day at least, no exaggeration. The only thing holding back from 5 star is that when someone rings the doorbell, it takes it like 45 seconds to connect to my phone before I can start talking to them and there’s a pretty major delay every single time I’ve done it. It could be my Internet though so I don’t wanna fault it too much in that department. I’ve also opted to hardwire it to my existing doorbell but no matter what I’ve tried, I’ve been unable to successfully get it to chime. Even in the app, it’s just gray and I can’t do it. Luckily though my phone rings whenever someone rings the bell, but like I said it takes like 45 seconds to fully connect to interact with whoever is ringing the bell which doesn’t sound like long, but it is when you’re sitting there waiting for it to load. Luckily though, Arlo pairs super easily with my Alexa device so whenever someone rings the doorbell and I’m not home, but others are home who do not have the Arlo app, Alexa announces on all devices that someone is ringing the doorbell and she makes a doorbell sound. ✓ Room for improvement on NotificationsI got the cameras after someone breaking my car window at night. The cameras were simple and easy to install although I found worked better with a wifi signal extender. My problem is finding a balance of too many notifications and good recordings. My drive points to the inner state with plenty of cars, people and animals activity all day about 70+ events per day. Smart notifications help minimize the amount of notifications I have set to only people, but I will get about 30 notifications a day. Activity Zones helps cut down on notifications but they often cut the footage too short, also I would like to still have footage outside the activity zone, like the small motivations does, as neighbours found the person that vandalised or tried to steal my car was inspecting the area hours before actually doing it. I would like the ability to use Activity Zones within Smart notifications and still keep footage outside the activity zone. And also a different notification sound, so when I do get notified, I don’t think it’s a everyday notification..Version: 3.5.12
✓ Not perfect but close…I’ve experienced some functionality issues, and some non intuitive settings in the interface. However, overall the Arlo system and App have exceeded my expectations. Battery life on the remote cameras isn’t 6 months but is multiple months; good enough that I don’t find it a hassle to keep them charged. It gives me such peace of mind to be able to review my home in real time whilst away, including checking on my dog! Not a perfect system (yet) but the minor imperfections aren’t enough for me to drop off from 5 stars..Version: 3.6.6
✓ The app does its job, mostly.It does what it says it does. Remote access to my Arlo devices with the standard features of recording, motion alerts, sound alerts, allows the changes of setting on the cameras and the base station. All videos are available through the app which have been recorded in the past. Easy to disarm and allow other members of my family access too. Bugs are a problem though. The camera relatively often freezes when viewing the cameras or recording on them. Recordings carry on recording but with my view from the camera everything just stays still apart from audio. This is incredibly annoying especially when you spend £500+ for two cameras and the app can stop you viewing them at any moment and the only fix is a full restart of the app. From when I first started using the app I must say the freezing has become less common but not fixed completely. Other than the bug I mentioned the app works well. It allows you access to all the options/ settings you need or want from anywhere as long as you have a internet connection. Fix these bugs and it would become a 5 star. But with them still in the app its generous to give it 4 stars. Hopefully this will be sorted soon..Version: 4.1
✓ Great picture qualityI researched and checked out all home security cameras before settling for the Arlo pro 3. Whilst I am very happy with the overall good picture quality the actual alerts can be frustrating to say the least as delivery men and women are usually leaving my property before I get an alert. I know that the signal has to go through the Arlo server and then my router and to my phone, as do all security cameras but it can be quick some days and very slow to alert on others. Another small but annoying fault as I see it is, you don’t get a specific ring or sound alert as you do with other company’s. All i get on my iPhone is the normal tone used for most app notifications which are ignored most of the time because it’s usually rubbish alerts coming through, unfortunately I cannot change the notification alert tone to make this happen. My daughter has the ring system in her house and you know as soon as you hear the notification alert,It makes you very aware that it is an alarm of sorts and you are instantly aware that something has triggered It. I would have given 5 stars if this was sorted out, which I believe Arlo can definitely and should do asap. Tony.Version: 4.0.2
✓ Good, but could capture video earlierOverall a good security solution. I find that the videos of automatic detections don’t include the video frames that actually caused the detection to happen. So my main request to Arlo is that the cameras keep a rolling buffer of a few seconds of video so that it can be sent to the cloud if something is detected. I’m assuming there is enough RAM in them for a few seconds of uncompressed video which is compressed and sent only if need be. My other suggestion for Arlo is that the WiFi network’s primary DNS is relied upon too much so the secondary DNS should be used earlier in configuration as I think that was the cause of my very bad experience with setting up the cameras. Or Arlo should only rely on IP addresses not DNS. Also the audio detection often triggers at 4:12am for no reason (I checked!). Anyhow if Arlo wants more info I’m owner of camera serial number A7X41A7XA0491.Version: 4.8
✓ A big improvementI previously had Dlink cameras in my house. I received an email from them saying I had to use an old web browser to make setting changes on line. I purchased Arlo cameras and replaced the old ones. I find this App so user friendly compared to Dlink. No need to use web browsers. Making adjustments and turning recording off and on by mobile is wonderful.Version: 2.13
✓ Arlo cctv system rocks!From the moment I first installed a second hand Arlo 4 - camera system I have had peace of mind with the security of my warehouse in Brendale. I didn’t realise the full functionality of the cameras until I really started monitoring them, and when I needed to check out particular movements of a staff member one day. As I was watching the cameras, seeing them automatically follow the subject, zoom in and pan left or right when required, gave me the feeling these cameras had their own brain! The technology inside the white Arlo casing around me. I can hear conversations clearly, see movement at night in full colour, and zoom in or out as desired. I can even have a conversation with someone through the camera-as clear as if I was talking to them in person. I just went and purchased another system today for our home, and this system doesn’t require a head unit physically plugged into the modem-it’s entirely wireless with only requiring a wifi connection! So out of the 4 new cameras, I can have 3 at home and add another to the warehouse, and have full access and connectivity through the app on my phone. Arlo gets 5 stars and a massive YES from me. ✓ It can detect the wrong things.It’s great most part however the camera’s detect the wrong things. Stating it’s a person when it’s an animal ie: my horses walking about. We are relieved it’s our horses however it does give you a scare as it’s says it’s a person. The charge on them is good but I may think of adding a solar back up due to having animals triggering it so our’s wear down quicker but it’s around a two week charge with them being set off. It can take a while to log in at times for some reason, when it’s alerted so your thinking hurry up. So for that it’s a 4 out of 5 for us, However this is one of the best camera systems so far we have seen and had. You can also talk to people on it whilst they are in front of it or like me talk to your animals. When talking to your animals it’s hilarious as they then start looking around for me. The glitch is minor it would just be great if it came up with misc rather then saying it’s a person or vehicle at 1am when it’s not. It’s shows as a vehicle for our rooster which is also funny. Most part it gets things on point, we would still buy it all over again as it outshines everything else on the market. Hope that help’s..Version: 4.1
✓ CamerasThe app needs to have and update on it cause my cameras are playing up and it won’t let me add 2 more cameras cause I’ve got the set with 4 cameras set up and they won’t start straight away with the motion detector you miss half of what’s walking around and won’t start when someone or thing is is walking up my driveway mite have to throw away and go get some better ones from someone else that’s why you only got one star rating off me you guys are sad people.Version: 4.1
✓ The Arlo app is broken with version 4Arlo used to work great, but since version 4 they have updated the UI for some people and are slowly rolling it out to others. (Even if you are on the same version). The issue is that you can’t share devices with someone that isn’t on your version. So currently my wife can’t see anything even though I have granted access. No amount of re-adding, re-installing or other troubleshooting steps work. The Arlo forums are filled with disgruntled customers and it’s a complete mess. Come on Arlo team, you are losing the good will of your loyal customers on this one. It’s been going on for months..Version: 4.7.1
✓ Seeing awayI can be half a world away and be notified when someone approaches my house and I can see them. Arlo gives me images and sound in (almost) real time as well as a record (for a few dollars a month) of everything that has been recorded, date and time. ✓ I’m rating this appThis door bell security is fabulous, everyone should have one from VENTURE for total security for your self, you can see who’s at the door on your phone and video them at same time also therefore you don’t answer door at all if it’s a stranger, if you do no them you can talk to them WHEN YOU’RE OUT, your phone will ring so normally you think it’s someone you no you can tell them what to do and what time you will be back, for instance I was shopping i had rang for a taxi but the taxi firm said they would be an hour, I rang the another firm and they said the same also the dog’s was due for there walk the lads next door always take them out for me, so the lads rang for the dogs I told them I was waiting for taxi so I told them also to ask their dad would they ask him would he pick me up, yes sure enough he picked me up and the dogs got there walk, how wonderful is that and that’s the security of VENTURE. ✓ Great … but sensitive to bushes movingThe Arlo app is very good with excellent quality video feed and imagery… The only slight complaint I have is that on windy days it will often register movement of long grasses, bushes and trees depending how close they are to the camera … You can limit this to a degree by defining an “active” zone on the camera feed - in other words by selecting an area on screen that provides movement reports… If trees and bushes are not within the selected active zone then theoretically they should not be registered by the camera … Otherwise this is a good system in my opinion and the floodlight cameras provide a decent amount of light during the hours of darkness ….Version: 3.5.4
✓ A great user interface with a few areas for improvement.I’ve been using Arlo for a few months now and overall pleased with the system and the app. I find the main devices screen is poorly designed and confusing. The cameras and the smart hubs are all listed as devices which is odd, the smart hub doesn’t really have a functions beyond controlling the cameras, I wouldn’t list them together. Also, the camera video previews shows still images of previous recordings rather than always showing a live view of each camera. For some reason I have to click each camera to show the live view, my cameras are plugged in, I have no battery issues, why not show me the live view. Lastly, the icons on the videos and below are confusing and redundant, it hard to tell what information they are trying to convey. There is a wifi symbol in a house in the video and a wifi symbol below the video on its own. These icons should be streamlined and allow one to click on them to get short status overview that helps understand the icons (similar to Google Nest products). Additionally, I purchased the continuous video recording for one of my cameras (CRV) and for the price it’s lacking a few obvious features such as the ability to download small periods of recording and to be able to view the footage in fast-forward mode (2x-5x), as scrolling through a several hour period to identify an incident is very laborious. ✓ Excellent CamerasBought the 4 camera pack and it works like a charm. 4k resolution gives you the clarity in those pictures when you need it. The App though, leaves a lot to be desired. I see a minute lag before it notifies me of someone at the front door. I have a gigabit fibre line to my house so can only imagine how slow it would be for lower speeds. The app also keeps telling me my activity zone has changed when I didn’t make any changes. False alarm. I now have a wire free video door bell from Arlo, and every time I change the battery, I struggle I get the door bell working again. A total reset is required each time which is very annoying and while doing that, the battery drains out fast..Version: 4.0.4
✓ My Home Is Now Secure.I have been so happy with Arlo has worked a treat, I can see everything that happens, when it happens at my property now, I can even keep an I on my three cheeky dogs as well. The automatic calls from my Arlo doorbell is fantastic I can greet my neighbours and the postman/woman when they deliver me treats and packages, the subscription is a very affordable price and gives me peace of mind I know my home is guarded, I have even stopped a feral dog attack on my own with the siren feature, thank you Arlo, and for your future customers, trust me you won’t be disappointed. ✓ Ultra Arlo security systemI’m not good with technology or internet stuff. My son set it up ‘mum it’s a piece of cake’... and honestly just seeing the video footage around the house is amazing. You think you know what’s going on but watching stray animals, our pet dog, even everyone coming & going from home shows there is a lot happening. The little girl next door comes over and plays with our dog and kidnaps him and takes him to her place! The peace of mind is the biggest thing. Particularly if you shoot into town to do a quick job. Not that l ever had a need to be worried in the past it’s more that l can have a way to check if anything seams amiss. I can check who has come & gone. It’s definitely worth it. The video imaging is very clear. The audio is a bonus. Absolutely worth it. By the way our insurance company has agree to give us a discount on our premium which does not quite cover the monthly subscription but l still think it is worth the extra cost. ✓ Almost PerfectWe love the fact that Arlo can be wireless or hard wired. We have an older home and hardwiring for our front door would take an”expert” to do. My husband who is a communications engineer was not able to understand 1940’s wiring. We then opted for the wireless doorbell and it worked immediately. The Arlo App it’s self is good and almost perfect. I’m not sure if we have an earlier generation but the gigahertz for the wireless connection has to be low for “successful” connection. We feel that we don’t get immediate notification when the camera is sending us notifications. Otherwise, the camera itself is displaying really clear images on both wireless door camera and wireless spotlight camera. The app does allow us to see remotely the battery life on both devices and adding devices are pretty easy as long as you follow instructions. We like how we can view and save/download recordings but wish we had the option to mass delete rather then delete individual recordings. We have dogs and they run around our house and it’s a annoying task to save data space on our phone and clean up the dozen videos of our dogs being dogs. Hopefully the tech team are working on the slightly inconveniencing issues- but other then that, pretty great system..Version: 4.0.3
✓ Arlo app and camera feedbackLove the cameras and the app they are both awesome the picture quality is great, having the ability to see in real time is great there is some lag but still very good. Also having the ability to add phone numbers in the app is a big asset it makes it easy and quick to make contact with someone without having to go outside the app and hunt for a number, being able to speak through the camera and also the siren if needed is a great asset,. The ability to search through footage is a real plus so quick and easy to find video clips give a real piece of mind all in all a great system thank you all for creating this system..Version: 3.7.1
✓ Almost perfectThe app works really well with excellent functionality, but there are a few minor problems... It’s quite slow - I think this is the cloud services, not the app itself so this could easily be improved. BUG - I keep getting general motion alerts even though I have set all my alerts to be person only. Would be nice to be able to touch to see the HDD version of a camera event after viewing the cloud version. When viewing a clip in landscape, the progress slider interferes with the iPhone X handle thingy. App keeps logging me out. Sometimes I get notifications with no preview. Sometimes it fails when I try to view the clip from the notification. Sort these out, and the other bugs and glitches, and this really will be a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 3.2.2
✓ Awesome app, great reassuranceArlo has been the best choice for us, we love the different push notifications so you don’t have to have the app always open playing. I give it for stars only because sometimes the notifications appear to pause, she might be awake but it doesn’t always notify me, and sometimes the app freezes and won’t load, these are little intermittent issues. The quality of components; the ingenuity of the functionality and physical design; the flexibility of ways to employ the devices for monitoring, and so far,(1 year), the durability. Perfect product! The “doorbell “ systems are stupid! The first thing they do is tell an intruder that you HAVE a security system, and then, whether or not anyone is actually monitoring that system! All the intruder needs is a can of spray paint or a piece of tape to totally disable the system! I put my ARLO cameras in places that are inconspicuous and unreachable. I want to see what potential intruders are doing when they DON’T think they are being watched! The movement detection feature tells me immediately when anything enters my security perimeters, and then, I can watch them to decide whether they are a threat. My system has detected and recorded, cats, birds and even hornets at my front door! I mounted an ARLO camera high in a tree at the back corner of my backyard; I can’t see or reach it, and I know where it is! This camera displays the entire yard and detects movement when I draw the shades on my back door! I feel COMPLETELY secure and in control with my ARLO products and system. Five stars!.Version: 3.6.8
✓ Ultra 2First battery powered camera that I’ve owned and even with a few faults it’s still a good product Have now put solar panels on 3 of 5 of our cameras which make life easier, cameras were needing to be charged every 3-6 weeks Setup is pretty easy -The wind affecting nearby trees can set the cameras off every minute for a good couple of hours even after turning down the sensitivity which is really annoying -acouple second lag on the cameras which at the start was annoying but soon got use to it (doesn’t help though with the microphone part of it though when there’s a lag) -I’m paying for the 4k usage plus storage which I don’t really think about anymore (roll over charges) -wifi and hub need to be in a pretty centralised position in your house so that all of the cameras are in range and don’t drop out of coverage #just my first camera fail, have waited over a month for the replacement so far.Version: 3.6.3
✓ Peace of mindWe use Arlo for 2 things- security and making sure our dog is ok. Once when we were on holiday someone was on our property “spraying weeds”. We were alerted immediately so we spoke to them over the intercom. They took off! We were able to alert our neighbours quickly. ✓ Keeping us secure and safe.We bought an ARLO 2 kits (5 cameras + Base Station) and have been really happy. The custom modes for arming certain cameras are what makes the system so useful. We get a great deal of front door traffic, so that always tells us as soon as somebody is near. We added the powered Doorbell earlier this year and that too is great. Being able to answer my doorbell via my phone from anywhere in the world is just terrific. *note: if you add more than 5 cameras, you are supposed to pay for a subscription- it hasn’t made us do do, even with the doorbell, but I’m unsure what would happen if we bought another standard camera. On the cameras, battery life is frankly unimaginably GREAT. Even if the system is fully armed, at 95% sensitivity for video AND sound, we get at least 6 weeks out of a charge. Literally months per camera if we are at home all the time. Can’t recommend this system enough..Version: 3.2
✓ Best wireless securityI’ve been with Arlo since 2015 and all five of my original cameras work flawlessly presently. Since then Ive added a couple ultra 2’s and indoor baby monitor. All cameras work as they should. There’s been some app issues along the way but the Arlo team continues to work thru them. I do miss the free web service they once offered that included up to 7 days of video and motion notifications alerts for free. I would have like to seen some sort of kick back for original customers who have been there since beginning, discount on services.??? Even with the minor issues that have popped up over the years. I still wouldn’t choose another wireless security system. I do recommend solar charging to reduce the times you charge batteries or you can purchase wired charging cables for outdoor use. So far my favorite camera is the Essential XL. This camera battery lasts for several months without having to charge it. I got three of them for my parents property and they love them. The app can be odd sometimes for some reason logging you out and won’t let you back in until after many attempts. But latest update seem to fix this unless you have an older phone..Version: 4.3.5

✓ Great camera’s, I would recommend these.Easy to use and set up. Completely wireless as they use batteries but the main station is plugged in. See what is recorded on smart phones or tablets. There are various picture quality to choose from but the better the quality the more charge they use. I have 6 cameras in and around the house which a couple are over 25 metres away from the base station. The Pro which I have two of can be set to detect with sound in and out where as the standard Arlo is just detect and record. I use re-chargeable batteries now which is much better and would recommend these over others that are available..Version: 4.0.1

✓ Peace of MindWe iniatially installed the camera because my husband is ill and smokes on the patio where he watches T V His cigarettes were constantly being stolen along with his ashtrays and buts .it was upsetting and demoralising We were able to give the footage to Police who were able to identify the intruders and that area is now safe But the added benefit is because my husband is so ill I have motion alerts when he is moving when I have to go out. ✓ Works for me!Great system. I’m a renter so the essential wire free system suited best. I love the fact that on the spot remotely I can sound an alarm, speak if I need to, turn the spotlight on all from my phone while I’m away from home. I wish the batteries would last longer though. I’ve had to get the solar panel for my back one as my dogs movement & windy days it goes off a lot, in return depleting the battery after 1 week! I’ve ended up turning the camera off when I’m home, so that’s convenient from the app & then it lasted 2 weeks. Just think overall the batteries could be longer lasting. Yep you guessed it when they’re low u need to climb the ladder, unscrew the camera which is really easy to do (after you’ve initially installed them) charging is quite quick, about 30-45mins. ✓ Review update. System performance has improved!I have 3 ultra cameras, 2 essential cameras and a video door bell all connected to a hub. I wrote a scathing 1 star review about 1 year ago. My Arlo system was driving me nuts and although Arlo support tried to help, I could not get my system to work reliably at all. Not a day would go by without multiple issues going on. It was pretty much useless. However, over the last 6 months or more (im not sure how long it has been as I had given up and wasn’t really taking much notice) my whole system has been working 99%. Hardly any problems at all. I have no idea why or what has happened or what improvements have occurred but my system now just works! I have only had one small issue the other day that arlo support fixed for me very quickly. That was that my Apple HomeKit suddenly stopped communicating with the arlo system. The cost of my subscription, that I did cancel at one stage but reinstated, has dropped by $2 per month and I now pay $12:99au per month. Not much I can do about that I guess as it really is needed to get any useful features. Anyway, thanks Arlo. I have no idea what you did or if it’s just a pure fluke, but I am now happy. ✓ Good app with many featureI’ve used the Arlo app now for three months and found it reliable and with a rich set of features. I don’t find much missing and I’ve Ben able to customise and add as needed. I do feel a little stung by the cost of the monthly plan though which given it’s just for storage and compared to other public cloud options I’d like the option to use eg google drive or Dropbox services instead.Version: 3.5
✓ Feeling secure at homeWe’ve certainly enjoyed the functionally and the sense of security that our Arlo Pro has provided for my family for about two years now. Thank you. However, just recently we have been experiencing very annoying connectivity “drop-outs”. It is NOT a battery issue, NOT an internet availability issue, and ALL possible connections & settings have been doubly checked, including all device Two-Step verification settings, etc. We have had to Logout and Login up to five times a day to try and resolve the problem but still the “connectivity” issue continues. Strangely though, I might add, even when we have NO “connectivity”, we continue to (apparently) still receive important video notifications - at least that is a comfort. ✓ Love them. Can watch from overseas or awayI started with one Essential Spotlight and loved it so bought another one. Then was surprised at my sisters doorbell that was it - I bought a doorbell as well. I can keep watch from overseas or away on holidays. I even saw a pesky fox going for my chickens and neighbors dogs coming in my courtyard if someone leaves my gate open. I can straight away contact people/friends back home to set things in order. I can also message my lawnmower guy to mow the lawn. Lol. I don’t have a base unit but find the Arlo App subscription works just fine..Version: 4.3.5

✓ ArloHad the Arlo for a few years now and can recommend. We have a 3 camera system so there are no ongoing costs. Battery life is good with several months between charges. Only problem we have is that, very occasionally after a charge you can’t get the cameras to work and have to reset the whole system. This has happened 3 times in the 3-4 years and only take a half hour to sort out. The only real complaint is the delay of around 30-60 seconds, which may be more down to our broadband connection Overall the system is very good..Version: 4.10
✓ 5 months inSo the app itself is laid out nicely, easy to use but there are certain things only 1 person can do, and only one person can view at any given time. The app can be slow to respond, often taking a while to load and needing to reload multiple times before you can see what’s happening. You answer the call and it takes so long to load that they have already left can also be hit and miss as to what point you get notified. Sometimes it will catch people walking past the gate other times they already entered the house before you get a notification to say someone’s approaching..Version: 3.6.4
✓ Piece of mind.Had Arlo for over a year now. I work away from home often so this gives me piece of mind. My only criticism is that when you go to full screen the button to bring it back from full screen is far too close to the deafening siren button. But that’s just a minor thing. An improvement I would suggest is a snooze button on the app so you can snooze the system if you want to spend some time in your garden for instance without having to manually change the system to off and then on to stop the notifications. Also, the app crashes my phone if I select a camera for full screen and then switch back to small screen. Overall I’m pretty happy with Arlo..Version: 3.5.5
✓ Only one access to the library is not goodA down side is the ‘invited friend’ cannot access local storage. Which means as a couple, only the one person can view the recordings. ✓ I’m happy!Very pleased with both the cameras and the App. There’s a lot of settings which can take a while to get your head around, and to get your system set up as desired. There’s only a couple of things I’d like to see improved but they don’t really cause me too much grief. 1. A faster response from someone pressing the doorbell, to being able to speak to the visitor whilst away from the home would be great. By the time I’ve answered the call, waited for the App to open and everything is connected, I have on occasion just got there in time to watch them walking off down my drive. 2. Personally I would like to be able to mute notifications for specific cameras. I have a couple cameras that capture footage of the same area of my property but from a different angle. This is great but as I get a notification from each camera, I sometimes get bombarded with notifications. You can arm/disarm the entire system or parts of the system, but if it’s armed, you’ll get notifications. The only ways I’ve found to deal with this is to be more selective with regards to camera position, make use of the masking feature (not perfect but does help), and sometimes mute notifications entirely for a selected period of time. As stated at the beginning, I’d like to have all cameras armed but select which cameras I’d like to receive notifications from. Only minor issues and I may be missing something but so far they are my only issues. Very happy with both the cameras and the App..Version: 4.3.5

✓ Mostly works wellThe app generally works well for its intended purpose. Images are clear, although with a minor lag time between detection and notification. Functionality is good and it allows me to do all that I need to do - program the cameras, fine tune, get notifications and look at the video. Geofencing is a bit hit and miss and perhaps the greatest disappointment. My wife and I both have the app on our iPhones - me as the main account holder and get as a guest. With all of the instructions followed ( mobile data on, location set to “ Always” etc..) it’s either my phone and location that activates the cameras or nothing. So we have to do a lot of manual arming when we are both away from home as the app fails to detect that we are both away. Apart from that Scheduling is excellent. Detections are spot on albeit at times a little zealous. Perhaps the cameras need to be fine tuned a little more..Version: 4.0.1
✓ Great baby monitorWe’re really pleased with the Arlo baby monitor. It’s great picture quality, connectivity through WiFi and accessibility through other devices is great. We just leave the screen on the iPad with the sound down when baby goes to bed and we’re watching TV downstairs. Just a couple of improvements - when you open the app, the sound comes on straight away. We’ve woken the baby up just trying to switch the notifications on! Also - it doesn’t “remember” previous WiFi networks. For example if we stay at my parents house we have to set up the WiFi again and do the same when we get back home. ✓ Peace of mindLove the peace I’d mind the Arlo camera’s bring, the alerts and ability to review footage. I have the version with a light included, which I recommend as it’s super handy for lighting the front door or up the drive when you arrive home at night. ✓ Great So FarI like the design of the camera and the optional solar cell array has kept the battery charged at 100 percent even when checked during the middle of the night. I like the magnetic cable connector as well. The AI seems to be accurate so far. I have it set to only alert for people, animals, vehicles and package delivery. It ignores all other movement which I need since I have a yard with a lot of tree branches that move from wind. The spot light and siren are good features as well. The camera seems to not lag at all which is important to me. The audio when talking to someone near the door is good. I could go on and on but I’ll stop here. It’s a great camera and I will be buying more of them soon. They definitely beat a competing product I had before though they do cost more. Well worth the money. Update: One thing I don’t like is the delay caused by the video first being uploaded to them for AI analysis before we get to see the video. This causes a delay from a few seconds to, in my experience, up to 20 seconds or more. Further the amount of the delay can vary between cameras making them get out of sync. For example someone can knock on your door and the camera can’t yet show them to you. Other than that my cameras with solar panels are great. I do like the AI..Version: 4.3.5
✓ Luv my Arlo’s ButI love my arlos and I have 6 cameras 2 bases But Sometimes live feed stops was suggested to get faster speed nbn and didn’t fix problem. Sometimes less sensitive than other times. I think updates should be more regular as this is a fantastic product but lacks proper customer support and updates as I use my iPhone for most things including looking at my cameras. I got the wires that keep them charged as I’m disabled and don’t have to worry about going up and down ladders to charge batteries as I live inner city I get more than 200 people walking passed my house per day. At first with full charge battery lasted 3days. Got solar panel couldn’t keep up. But happy I don’t have to worry about them anymore. They are a great investment for protecting your home and better than any other camera on the market. Well done. Keep the updates coming..Version: 4.6.2

✓ Outstanding and affordable home security cameraAbsolutely superb indeed - quality of an image 10/10 ; easy to install, affordable especially to us pensioners…well, I am using mine to monitor my small birds feeding station and … anyone approaching front door … so I make an informed decision to answer door bell or not. All in all my Arlo camera and my small birds visitors have healed my pandemic miserable days and I am immensely grateful to them. . Every morning birds singing wakes me up and before I open my curtains I watch/ monitor my birds on my mobile and save most interesting clips. The same I do when I am away from home. ✓ Arlo review based on Three Ultra CamerasUser friendly, easy to navigate, plenty of options available. Hope that when the upgrade becomes available it will notify or install automatically. One thing to highlight is that motion sensor still catches and pings about the animals, which come across the cameras in an activity zone even when this option is unselected. I guess this is based on the angle of the camera where it is placed and quality of capturing the image and interpretation in its software is not the best. Well Cameras has be out of reach, not easily accessible by thieves, therefore, at certain height it doesn’t recognise difference between animal and a person. Similarly, app also catches and alerts about the thick smoke or steam coming out of the boilers. Again between smoke and a person it doesn’t recognise. And again Extra cautious doesn’t hurt. In future, I hope this will get sorted. One of the best product with great features to keep you safe with an extra caution and worth every penny..Version: 3.5.10
✓ Best security system/app!!Cheap subscription offers tho offers a couple free features free of charge w/o subscription needed. Easy to set up and even easier to continue to use. I have older cams that don’t have chargeable batteries, but looking to upgrade to them soon and once I do I see how w/ only a couple simple steps it will be to upgrade to new cams &/or hub. Excellent quality + works wonders during weather changing conditions in my experience. Lastly want to add if anyone is looking how to best use the app to set up a tv monitor/television as a solo or shared on any smart tv in your home; if you own or able to purchase Alexia/Alexia app; just download the app on any screen and therefore you can just ask “Alexia show me (front door) cam please”? It’s really a wonderful feature I wish I had learned about sooner bc now while watching tv I can have any Arlo camera either brought up to the small corner of my television OR covered in full screen on my tv!! It’s really cool. ✓ Ruth LarsonThis is a very good application it has clear pictures plus a sound system. I have 5 cameras. It is flexible. Trouble is I have little knowledge of I.T. And do not know how to operate many of its systems. Noel Leeming seem sick of me trying to get fully informed of its use. I have a problem with my husbands girl friends who is constantly here when I am out or asleep at night. She is an expert in I.T. And has full control of my office (locks changed 3 times.) and full control of my cameras. Deletes footage turns the off when it suits take photos when she wants. My husband is worse than me with the system. I felt trapped so I wrote a rough note asking for help and sent you a copy. She also got it and deleted it but not before I sent it to you. ✓ Good but with opportunitiesGood app but could be even easier to use when using more advanced functions. (Chime/door bell usage, show latest triggers in the Library instead of sorting per camera, taking too long time to load alarm mode etc). The Arlo smart function is also good but they should really take away the ~15+ second delay you get when using it (due to that they send the data to a slow far away data center instead of to a close cloud based data center with low latency). Could also be better when alarm goes off to directly show which camera triggered and show the picture. It also isn’t 100% reliable. I get woken up when cats are outside, but not when burglars where going through my car… (that camera had issues though due to that I had dropped it. Now replaced to the latest 4k camera)..Version: 3.5.1
