✓ First few problemsI’ve been using the app for a year in about July and it’s been going great! Everything has been working nicely and I’ve been able to save my videos with no problem. I’ve been able to download my QR code’s from TikTok with shakes and effects easily so I can use them. But today however, I tried to get in to make an edit. My screen stayed white for about 20 seconds and then it just went back to my Home Screen. I ended up having to delete the app and redownload it. When I got back in all my edits and edit packs were gone and I couldn’t get them back. I then went back into TikTok to put in a few more QR code’s so I could make a new edit and it either took me into the app and said I needed a membership to use it because it was over 5MB, or it took me to the App Store to download the app even though I already had the app. I clicked “open” to open the app and the pack showed up nowhere. It has worked in the past but today it stopped. Alight if you could please fix this so everybody can insert the QR code’s into the app again to make it and easier app to use. All you are trying to do is make people end of needed to buy the membership so they can use it properly and people will not want to spend 80 dollars a year on a editing app. So please fix this as fast as you can. ✓ What happened?I got this app a little while ago, and It’s a great app. It’s easy to use, great quality, and a lot of my other friends use it. I even used it and won a competition in school. Eventually, I lost some of my motivation and stopped using it for a bit, but when I came back, I tried to export my video, and now it’s saying `Members only feature’ I could no longer export my videos. I’d press the button in the corner and it just kept saying `Members only feature’ . I might just have a glitch or there’s a misunderstanding, but charging people to save their own creations will just cause people to try and find a different app to use. Overall, it’s an amazing app, transitions are smooth, effects help the video com to life and this is one of the best apps that you can use for almost anything. Which is why I really want to use it but it no longer allows me to download my videos, so there’s truly no point. Once again, great app but please explain why you’ve done this..Version: 3.6.1
✓ Bugs! Please Fix Them.Awesome for edits but there are quite a lot of bugs. I can edit just fine on this app but one downfall is when I get loads of crashes. I’d like there to be an update where there would be less crashes. Sometimes, the screen would freeze with the audio still playing in the background. ✓ Way to laggyWhen I first downloaded alight motion it was alright, don’t get me wrong it’s a very good editing app though after awhile it got way to laggy! I tried to export my project about 10 times and every single time it glitches me out of the app, the fact I spent so long on the edit is making me give up. ✓ Crashing and adsI’ve been editing on Alight motion for a long while now. I absolutely love the idea of bringing in ads to be able to use pro features, but, when you leave the project for a day or two, you have to watch at least 3 ads just to export. I already watched an ad once to use that feature, now I’ve got to watch 3 more. And today, when I tried to get into a project, it kicks me out of the app. I’ve been working on this project for four hours, and any time I try to open it, I’m kicked out. Honestly, I love alight motion, but the crashing and lag is too bad. I’ve tried updating the app, which helped for a brief second but then it went back to kicking me out. The thing is, I don’t want to reinstall the app because it deletes all my projects. I think you should start linking projects to account you make, so that when people need to reinstall, they have their projects saved. ✓ Not that good anymoreI used to really love this app, but it’s gone downhill ever since I started using it less than a year ago. You can’t export higher quality than 1080p without paying, you have to pay to export the project a different way, you get random ads in the midst of editing, and some essential features are also behind a paywall. I understand the effects, but export quality? Why isn’t that the one thing that we can have for free? I don’t have money to pay for this app and am trying to make means end editing but I cant because my quality gets trashed. I understand that money is needed to keep the app running, but the competition is better than this at this point. I just wish the one thing that would be salvaged was the export quality. I am probably gonna try to switch to a different editing app because this one is hardly usable anymore. ✓ Ads everywhereBro i be trying to edit and everytime theres an ad. Before i had no problem but now it makes you watch an ad to export even without premium effects. And when you do export theres another ad that pops when it finishes. Not only that everytime you switch to a different project it also gives you an ad. What happen to alight motion? ✓ I cant even use the appI love this app and have used it for years, but lately it has been getting worse. I open the app load up one of my projects which barely has anything in it and it lags and eventually just closes when I try and reopen the app sometimes doesn’t even let me in. I literally cannot edit sometimes I don’t know what is wrong, I’m not sure if this is a personal or Internet issue, but if so why is this the only app that has this much lag? ✓ This app has so much potentialThis app has so much potential but in the very end, its ruined by the lag. What’s the point of making a great editing software with awesome concepts and effects when you can’t even export them? I made an 8 second video but it crashes as soon as its 20-30% exported. ✓ Good but could be betterThis app is really good except for when it’s time for exporting! I try to export and it makes me watch an ad (which isn’t a problem) but then, out of no where, it kicks me out! ✓ TOO MUCH LAGI try to edit something I’m doing well and the app is so amazing and easy to use but I swear i get lagged out nearly every second, I try to make it stop lagging but nothing works. ✓ Worst app I’ve downloaded.The features in this app are amazing, and what the app can do is stunning, but there’s a HUGE problem, the app is SUPER SUPER laggy and slow, and it ALWAYS crashes after just a few minutes of using it, And when it gets to a point where it crashes so much from you trying to save your work, it just CRASHES YOUR ENTIRE DEVICE this app is garbage and their is absolutely NO point of downloading the app. I’ve lost SO MUCH TIME AND EFFORT on this app it’s disgusting. ✓ SCAM, WATCH OUT BUYING THE YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION!!!!!Yes. The app works great, yet I'm not sure if it's the updates, it's certainly not my ipad pro though. It managed to take away my yearly subscription that's not renewed until august 28, it's expecting me to buy the yearly subscription A G A I N, when my year isn't even over yet, it does not allow me to refresh or restore my subscription. (I have proof that I have been a subscriber since last year) I cannot access the assets or take away the logo. This is really something that all creators should watch out for, the makers intend to do things like this for more money without fixing the app issues and then telling their community, that it's either bugs or glitches, or some things that just need to be patched due to recent/latest updates, I'm finally coming out to say this. At least give me a refund. I even tried restarting my device entirely and reseting it, no luck. This is my honest review. I get that it's 3 months until the renewal but don't do this to people at the last minute just because some of us are poor and not as wealthy as those who can easily afford such a price to pay just to edit. ✓ It’s not great, but not badI often reach issues of the audio going silent,with me having to restart playing the edit from the beginning or some random point. Furthermore, there aren’t any fixes, tricks, or anything i could find to fix it (though this is likely just a problem of me getting another device for this), it doesn't mean it’s not a problem. Alight frequently crashes, lags, and freezes with no light at the end of the tunnel in updates to fix it. There are many features gate kept by them requiring a “premium” subscription fee to reach its “full potential”, although some people like me can watch ads to unlock these features which is great. But it shouldn't even be a problem in the first place as gate keeping shouldn't be a part of communities (whilst i understand they need money, doesnt mean I need to like the fact). To edit greatly you need effects, many moving parts, and layers which alight can’t even handle sometimes in a 30 second edit for me (and I have a high budget). In conclusion it needs to face it’s problems with lag/crashes, bugs/freezes, gate keeping issues, and more to improve. All this isn’t to say it’s bad, but to just show people issues they may find along the way..Version: 6.2.2

✓ Laggy, and watermark is obnoxious, crashes CONSTANTLYI love alight motion for making anime or just normal edits. I really do. But literally, the lag is so horrible. Whenever i use even small effects like RBG glitch, or ray, or anything, it lags so bad. It makes my video move at what looks like about 1 fps, which... is kind of disappointing? I really want to use the ray effect for cool text animations, and everyone else does too. But it just makes my entire phone really slow. This used to be fixable by turning on “Low Preview Mode”, but it’s gone at the moment for some reason. Then, theres the watermark. I understand that Alight Motion would like to promote themselves by adding watermarks.. but this just isn’t it. The watermark is huge and obnoxiously placed right at the place you don’t want it. Yeah, I could pay for premium, but see.. i’m not rich lol. And lots of other people aren’t either. Back to the lag, it crashes CONSTANTLY. Whatever I do, it just goes black for a second, then brings me to my home screen. It’s literally so annoying. I’m not even doing anything that would cause this. (Trying not to lose my cool while typing this lol). Sometimes, it crashes and i can’t reopen the app, or other times it crashes and the music just keeps going with no way to turn it off. ✓ Ads and purposeful glicthesThe app is awful causing me to restart or exit the project for me to hear the audio it is EXTREMELY laggy so you are unable to record “pro features”. Ads are ridiculously long although the effects are nice it still does not make up for it. There is an enormous watermark which is very annoying. ✓ Amazing app but inconveniencesThis app is a brilliant app to use when editing but there’s a lot of problems with what happens when you use it. I was able to make a small edit but it wouldn’t let me go past the 30 second mark without my ipad crashing. Even restarting it entirely. It lags a lot and won’t let you export it sometimes, if it’s to long. The lagging makes you incapable of being able to even go past the lagging part. I had to screen record it to post it, and even then it lagged, when exporting it would stop me at a certain percentage because of the length of it. It even is lagging my whole iPad out even when I deleted it (which might have been other causes). After video star, this has got to be the second best mobile editing app. Or well that’s what I would have liked to have said.. I can be in the middle of editing but out of nowhere I’ll crash. ✓ AdvertsI don’t usually leave reviews but I feel like I have to now. I’ve been using Alight Motion for about two years and this used to be one of my favourite apps and genuinely in my opinion one of the best editing apps for iphone, aside from a few glitches which were fixed as well as the fact that it can be very slow + crash often on older devices. Now, I don’t think I’ll be using it anymore as there is just so many adverts. I liked using it is because the tools were really useful, easy to use and worked well my phone, and as I can’t buy subscriptions on apps like this the free version was perfect and had a lot available without paying. Now in a recent update, it has become basically unusable without paying because there is so many adverts. Open the app and an advert appears. Then another when starting a project. Another when adding a file. To export and save anything, you have to watch another two. It’s just extremely annoying to use now, which is sad because it’s the reason why I don’t think I’ll be using it anymore. I understand that the developers wants more people to buy the subscription but honestly I would have much rather have less available for free than ads everywhere..Version: 4.4.7

✓ Good app, needs improvement thoughThis app has great features but one of the problems is lag and glitching for example sometimes when exporting a project it takes me out of the app and even after restarting my device multiple times it still does this. Another problem is, when the video is exported while watching the project there would be glitches that were not there before other times the video would just freeze when exported which makes it very difficult to use. Alight motion is known for its glitching/lagging although a good app and many other people would love it if it was fixed. First off, when I preview my edit to see if I made a mistake or not, it either stops my timeline from continuing but still let’s my preview play the edit, stops everything and freezes for an eternity or just crashes completely. ✓ It’s an amazing app, but keeps crashing.Alight Motion has an acceptable amount of transitions and options. However, the app can’t seem to handle itself. It’s extremely irritating that the only way to genuinely lower the chances of the app crashing is to edit in this specific order with the quality way down low. There have also been errors with exporting projects that people, and myself, and worked hours on completing. ✓ Advertisements are ridiculousI downloaded alight motion in maybe 2019, 2020 even, and it had absolutely zero ads which made it amazing. Nowadays, I get about three ads just opening the app, random ad pop-ups, and another three to just export and save a project. This app has become annoying and frustrating as you can barely even do anything without paying ridiculous amounts of money for something that used to be free a few months ago. I understand that the devs need to make money somehow, but there’s no way that I can afford their overpriced pro version. ✓ A few problems, otherwise goodHi Alight Motion! I enjoy using your app even though I only use it for the video movements. Although, I have a few concerns. One thing is that it constantly gives me ads. For example, when I click to like projects and then I create it, I get an ad as soon as I do. Another thing that bugs me is when I have to watch an ad to export, when I finish watching the ad and I press go to press save, it gives me another ad again! Very frustrating. And ANOTHER thing that is awful is the constant lagging and inability to load. My WiFi is always at full bars and my device is an iPad Pro 4th generation with plenty of storage, so there’s no reason for your app to have such difficulty. After watching the ridiculous amount of ads, your app constantly tries to offer me to pay $7.99 A WEEK just to get no ads, export freely, etc. It’s not necessary to charge people that much per week, it would be more understandable is you put it to a month, for example. You should have the option like “don’t ask again” like other Apple apps do. Last thing I was dissatisfied about is when you removed the feature to watch an ad to remove your obnoxious water mark. I understand you have to make money for your app, but there’s plenty of other ways to! I’m probably better off switching to CapCut, since they added better features to their app for free. ✓ Watermark updateAlong with the unnecessary crashes, lag and the adverts that come with Alight Motion, what probably made it more tedious to use is that you can’t move or adjust the watermark (depending on what ratio you’re using) during editing i use the free version of Alight Motion for content creation and throughout the two years of having it, the developers have proved again and again that they do not care for those who can’t afford their subscription and continue to add new updates which makes the app much harder to use For once, can the app developers think of us? instead of slowly trying to restrict us into buying a subscription a lot of us can’t afford.Version: 5.1.0

✓ SO MUCH LAG AMD CRASHES!Ok so I was trying to edit the most SIMPLE video I could POSSIBLY EDIT. I had 3 layers, 2 videos, and 1 element thing. I went to press play and it crashed the app. I tried to finish editing over the CRAZY AMOUNT OF LAG, when I went to save the video, the app crashes, my whole screen goes white and freezes. Then my phone decides to go CRAZY and freeze, lag, turn off, e.c.t. MY PHONE WAS BASICALLY UNUSABLE. ✓ Alight Motion is not great to use anymoreThe alight Motion app will no longer be my favorite because when I messed up alight Motion, it starts to crash so I had to delete it and delete all of the unneeded apps. Sorry that it keeps crashing every day :( so I’m deleting it forever. The only way I can use to video edit perfectly is not using the camera for the project. All I have to do is just stay where the project has layers in them. I’d rather use KineMaster, but not on iOS. That’s the only app I’d use on my Samsung tablet instead. Oh my! No explosion is needed: When I tried to replace the layer, the replacement won’t work! I had to close the project and reopen it again, but the problem is that the project was completely empty and the aspect ratio won’t go to 16:9. And then I would get out of the app! I had to open it again. I tried to replace and edit the layers a lot of times once I copied my project. I tried to do that but the reasons is that the layer would disappear. I have been using your app for multiple years over multiple devices and i think it is a great app. I have made hundreds of edits with it and overall the app is very good, but, over the years I have also had many complaints. For one, the subscriptions are WAY too expensive. a weekly subscription is $5 and it’s displayed as a “cheaper” option to the yearly subscription when it costs more to buy this one YEARLY than the actual yearly subscription; and this is a recent problem too, as i’ve been seeing the prices of the subscription rise over the years as the quality falls. Quite frankly, it feels like a scam, seeing as all of your competitors have much cheaper prices with much more content. Speaking of the quality falling, there has been no fix to the constant lag that comes with using too many effects, even if they’re basic. This leads to freezing, crashing, and corruption of files. I know you may say that this is because of my device, but this has been a problem for YEARS across all of my devices including my newest generation iPad with a lot more space than my older phones. ✓ Needs some work defoHopped on the app and was shocked to find nothing, no login just a home page with a bunch of random stuff I didn’t yet understand, but I was happy to find that I didn’t need to enter my email and wait for verification. I pressed the + button which 8 assumed was to create a project, I was correct but there was a bunch of numbers and other things, I pressed random buttons and there it was, I didn’t understand anything at all, only just a bunch of shapes that didn’t help. I soon found out how to add a video but there wasn’t any clear button to adjust the volume and everything was good for abt 3 minutes, I was understanding the mechanics until it crashed, I opened it up again and it crashed, this continued for about 5 tries. ✓ Problem with trimming video 😕Okay so I was trying this app because I’ve seen many people use this app for editing and I wanted to try to make edits. So the problem is that when I trim the videos it lags the video and I’ve tried multiple videos. I also don’t know how to trim it so I pressed the button that had squares I pressed them and when I played the video it lagged but before I trimmed it the video didn’t lag. ✓ Please just let me editThis app is great, I think the whole subscription for taking off trademark makes sense, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I close the app and open it again, a pop up appears to ask me to subscribe for a year. The first time I saw it, I tried to click the free version and continue with my business. ✓ Lagging A LOTIt’s a great app! I usually use it to add overlays and transitions. Although recently it’s been laggy and I am unable to watch my video through without it being blocky and glitching, usually this would be okay as long as I can watch it through once i’ve saved it to my camera roll and it comes out clean. ✓ Don’t even bother with thisThe app is extremely laggy and will crash constantly by literally using editing opinions in the app. Once your project starts lagging and glitching, consider it gone because the constant crashes will only make it worse as you try to salvage it. You can’t even export your projects in an attempt to save them since it will crash in the downloading process. So you’re left with one option: Start over again from scratch on a new project. But oh wait, it’ll just lag and crash again. 🥰😍 The developers have been told this is a common issue with their app for MONTHS. ✓ I Love This App But it’s Letting Me DownI love this app, ive been using it for a couple years and i’ve started to rely on it just for normalcy in my life. But when I go to export projects every once in a while they won’t export saying it failed. So I lose all my hard work and I can’t save it or watch it or any of that stuff. And it just hurts me every single time because there’s nothing I can do. Lately it’s gotten incredibly easier for my app to lag when scrolling through my project. I used to be able to hold over 100 projects on my phone without a problem and without the storage on it in my phone to exceed 30 GB, now I can’t seem to get it below 50 with only less than 30 projects on my app. The graphs for transitions are never smooth anymore which graphs are supposed to help with. And certain effects are hard to use, like the mosaic effect which shifts the layer so if you tried to make a transition with it, it wouldn’t match and is useless to use. I love this app, it’s one of the only editing apps i’m able to do so much with without paying, but it’s just gone incredibly downhill and my experience has worsened overtime and looks like it will never get better..Version: 4.3.5

✓ Pretty good ifIt’s a good editing app maybe better than CapCut it’s just that while I’m editing I’m not trying to get an ad or have a permanent watermark that I have to pay for. Nearly everything in this app is paid but works with 3d shapes well. Templates are also pretty big but there is too many. It’s also pretty hard to edit unlike all the effects CapCut gives so as long as I don’t have to watch an ad for an effect like a toddlers slime game or pay to use a shape because you don’t already have enough apps asking for money it’s a pretty good editing app. CapCut still rules..Version: 4.5.5
