✓ Great game but cash grabSuch a fun game which is why this continual cash grab by developers is so frustrating. I understand that these are all for profit but how much is enough? There is no consistency in the leveling and even if you spend the money (which is mandatory to progress) it’s still ridiculously, over the top hard - borderline impossible to progress which really takes the enjoyment out of the game. You spend money to level Hope hoping to overcome the difficulty but at a certain point, you throw your arms up when literally there is no evading the amount of enemy fire on the screen. I’m not even at a high level although my inventory is and it’s virtually impossible to proceed. The developers thought process is that we the players throw money at the problem but how is that fun? What a shame. You’ll enjoy the first 20 levels and from there it’s just a slog and a money pit. Don’t bother. Other issues: super buggy. On more occasions than I can count, your plane’s movement will just freeze. Only way to fix is to pause, wait 10 seconds then proceed but that only works half the time. UI takes awhile to understand and is super confusing. Multiplayer feels very incomplete Side missions yield very little reward and again, to progress, you need to throw money at the problem. ✓ Mind bugs and lack of supportDespite being a no bad game it has quite often been showing bugs that make me and my team members lose missions for no reasons, especially in the so called excavation war. Where else on the planet do you provide an “update” which is supposed to mean “improvement” and just wipe away months of efforts by your players and customers - including where actual money has been spent to achieve an outcome. ✓ Do Not waste your moneyDo not spend a single dollar on this game. Funny they deleted my original post for calling them out on their greed. You play for hours to upgrade you plane and what do they do. Nerf your plane. I can hardly beat levels in the 100s now and I’m currently on level 150. Was really close to beating level 150 and figured one or two more upgrades to my plane and I’ll beat 150. Well in comes an update and now my plane is significantly weaker. I figure I would see how week it is, well I barely beat levels from almost 50 levels ago that I beat with relative ease with a much weaker plane. Not to mention the outrageous prices they ask for for gems, containers and weapons. They make you think you’re getting a deal for gems that cost $199 for $99 🤣🤣🤣. ✓ Started fun but now not….I only downloaded this game a few days ago and it was fun to play. But now, it seems to have a bug: the combat missions are messed up. My plane doesn't do ANY damage and has no fuel so one hit and it's destroyed. Not that that matters as I can’t destroy any enemies. It is like this on all missions, even ones I have completed. There doesn’t seem to be a way to contact game support. The button that looks like that would do it is not responsive. Also, I cannot link with Apple to play on other devices. ✓ Cheating game developersThe game is a lot worse since the upgrade. I feel that the developers is cheating on the players. Its more difficult on my current level 163. I get less kills % and thats with upgraded planes. I have a fully upgraded Lockheed F-117 and its less powerful. The developers must have reduced the power on players planes and increased opposition power. There is also flaws in the F-117 once you use all its powers it just explode without being hit. ✓ Great game until the fun stopsAds aside, this game WAS one of my favourite iOS games. But then the difficulty ramped up so fast that further advancement was impossible without spending INSANE amounts of money on boosts. Not sure on what planet these prices are reasonable…I can only assume that only the wealthy or clinically addicted would ever be parted with that kind of money. Totally get that the game needs an income stream, and I’d gladly pay a one-off charge for it, just not remotely prepared to pay the endless cash that the developers, in their madness, have deemed appropriate. ✓ Fun, but not much longevity.For fans of shoot-em-up games like this, I’d recommend this game in a heartbeat, but unless you want to spend a lot of money, be ready for lots of grinding and ad-watching to make any progress. The bigger problem is the difficulty spike. Around the 80’s, the levels get very difficult. At the 90’s, you basically can’t win- you die in one or two hits. The screen is filled with bullets, and in spite of your damage stats, even the smallest enemies- which come in waves- each take several seconds to kill. Plus using your finger to move the plane obscures the screen, making dodging harder. Lastly, buying new planes is underwhelming. The only real difference is the look of the planes, and the way the bullets look. At the same level they all have the same amount of power. Buying new planes is underwhelming..Version: 7.35

✓ Too much monetization and bad UIThere is what probably started out as a good shooting game hiding under vast layers of monetization infrastructure. I would love to just play the actual game, the part where you’re piloting a plane and shooting at waves of things which are hard-but-not-impossible to kill until your lives run out and you have to start over. To play THAT game I would be okay with either watching ads OR paying some money (say, $5?) to permanently turn off ads but what I don’t want to do is be constantly forced to play a horrible meta-game of deciding what features to temporarily “upgrade” to keep playing and/or remaining competitive. The interface for picking how to upgrade stuff and picking missions to play is too complex and arcane and just generally an annoying distraction from the ACTUAL GAME. Also, it can be hard to tell apart some of the coins/bonuses you’re supposed to collect from some of the bullets that are trying to kill you. (I am red-green colorblind so there might be color cues I’m missing). In short, this feels *tantalizingly close* to being a fun game but is not actually on-net a fun game; I played a few levels and deleted it. ✓ Fun but expensive and glitchyThis game is fun, crazy fun but that is outweighed by the fact that you literally need to buy every plane with premium currency, any of the gear or equipment that you need you also need to pay cash to get. Then you get into the glitches. I purchased the package that is supposed to get rid of all ads and give you a pittance of premium currency. Going on a week now and it’s not worked once. Tech support (which you literally have to had made a purchase to access) just keeps saying check back tomorrow. Plus, it appears that the advanced technology that you get from buying containers, disappears on you and this is normal according to tech support. The whole game is always beset with bugs, multiplayer is fixed. ✓ What happened?First off, I really liked this game. I was making good progress and liked the planes, power ups, etc. Then my progress really started to slow down and had to use power ups if I wanted to have a chance to beat boss levels. I liked the game enough that I spent hours each day collecting medals, money, etc. to become stronger. It worked and even though progress was slow I was getting somewhere. I noticed a few days ago, and all of the sudden, that the life of enemy planes tripled or quadrupled. For example, on a boss level that I couldn’t pass, I could at least make it to the boss; now I can’t even get to it since the enemy planes became unbearably strong. Even with full power up’s loaded on my planes I can’t get close. Please turn this off and change it back to how it was a few days ago. I could spend hundreds of hours more on this game and go nowhere with how hard you made it now. That just sucked all the fun out of this game for me and I feel like the time I’ve spent has now been wasted. Don’t make this game impassable. ✓ Embarrassing MonetizationThis game had potential, with great nostalgia and entertaining play. However, every square inch of the game requires huge outlays of cash at every possible turn. $100 for a box of gems, a paid gambling wheel for components, $50 for an aircraft, a paid VIP system that “improves” your stats just 1%. Level 12 VIP to unlock an equipment box? No thanks. The multiplayer has become a bad joke. I’m constantly up against players with more aircraft and ones that are infinitely better than mine. Suddenly I find their damage scores increasing well above mine, yet I have destroyed everything in my path including missiles. Zero chance of winning. Many interesting aircraft and wingmen are unavailable until unlocked at an event (and very difficult to reach without spending a lot of money). I tried a mid-to low bombing mission and can barely damage anything now. I keep upgrading my aircraft and even “certified” one and still can’t move past my current campaign level on Easy. So, one can watch thousands of ads, spend a pile of cash and Merge their aircraft to try to progress. I’m always happy to support a developer and game by buying a starter pack and a few upgrades, but 1945 Air Force seems content to focus on economics over quality..Version: 9.05

The developers purposefully downgrade the power of your planes after you’ve purchased the power upgrades which directly violates the terms and conditions of the App Store for developers. Items purchased in game are bought “as is” and should not lose value without appropriate compensation from the development team. When you contact their customer service in Vietnam, they tell customers that they will “try to do better” but they continue to devalue plane power. They purposefully downgrade the power of the planes to force players to make more monetary purchases. It’s extremely dishonest and unethical according to Apple. This game will cost you thousands of dollars to play at an above average level and progress forward. I paid in excess of $30 AUD for a gem/chest package that was advertised as $60AUD value. The chests were unable to be opened then disappeared completely. I was paid 2000 gems in lieu after complaining and despite voicing my dissatisfaction I now get no response. ✓ AlrightThis game is really cool the idea is there and it functions correctly but...you can’t get new planes without shelling out an arm and a leg or grinding for days on end. It’s a phone game no one is going to grind just don’t be stupid enough to put money into it. Otherwise ya download it but don’t expect to get better planes within any short amount of time. You have to get their diamonds to get planes but you only get 1-5 diamonds every level (if you’re lucky) and it costs about 500 diamonds to get the first plane. Have fun playing 100+ levels with the same planes and items. On top of that you can only use dog tags to participate in campaign missions. Costs about 5-7 dog tags depending of the difficulty you chose. You only have about 150 dog tags in total ya that’s a lot about 20-30 games but it throws grinding out the window cause each level takes about a minute. Play for 20 minutes wait about 24 hours for dog tags to come back..Version: 7.51

✓ Used to be fun. Now deceptive.This game was a blast at first. Loved creating my fleet and shooting things. Then you realize, since there isn’t a player’s manual, that you have to do all these other things to gain the items needed to keep making your fleet better, or you won’t go far at all in the game. Now updates are happening every few days. While the tournaments and special events are cool, they don’t tell you that they keep making it harder to win. The enemies keep getting harder to beat and your planes firepower and armor gets weaker and weaker. Perfect example today- played a daily mission like I always do and win. Then update comes out. After update, play that daily mission again. Can NOT win at all now. Try multiplayer, that I usually do really well in. Matched against someone higher rank but with fewer planes. I don’t even last a minute, lose all my planes and the match. They didn’t lose a single plane. I couldn’t kill any of the enemy that I didn’t have a problem with yesterday. So, yeah, anytime an update says “improve performance” they really mean make it harder to play. If you don’t spend real money, don’t expect to get far. AND it’s expensive! I have bought some cheaper things a couple times but usually everything costs so much! And I know they get this feedback a LOT but they don’t care. ✓ The Most Rigged Game EverBegging the game you get a decent advantage against enemies and of course the difficulty rises. You end up reaching a point maybe at like level 25 to where you have to farm hours to get upgrades or pay real money for some trash rewards or garbage loot crate like slot machine that also gives you bare minimum rewards for money well spent. I wasted about $70 real money on this game to find out that once you start progressing and you pay for all these upgrades SURPRISE! There’s another update. Then you start to notice that after every update the levels you have already demolished seem to get more difficult than they had before the update. You can of course see your stats and what type of damage you do prior but there’s also that you aren’t for certain the hp of the enemy so either one of these things are for certain throttled. Why not do your loyal paying customers a solid and quit screwing them over after they complimented a you developed??? Then there’s the social media blockage of information flow like the developers know they are screwing people and don’t want people to communicate. ✓ Game crashes a lot!!IPad Air 32g the game crashes 90% of the time while loading a selected level. It then takes all the dog tags and advanced tech which you chose for that level and doesn’t return them once the game restarts. You can search all over within the game and there is NO place to click report issue so that they are aware and can work on them. The game has a contest every single Monday, however, it constantly will NOT update the time so the next day when you are supposed to be able to play....it still thinks you have no tries left. This can and has happened for multiple days in a row causing you to fall way behind and therefore not able to earn the gems. Sometimes you can power off your device and reload and it will help, and other times not. In either case, you have no way to complain because there is no contact link within the game. Since you need those gems especially at the higher levels to upgrade, the game comes to a screeching halt. I have reported this fraudulent activity to Apple in hopes that enough reports will result in this app being removed… and that’s not the only fraud I have encountered in this game. There are also many cheaters who use hacked copies to become nearly invincible or to generate unlimited coins/gems and event items. These cheaters are not banned even after much evidence has been collected and submitted to the developers of the game, including screenshots of conversations with the cheaters in which they confessed exactly what they are doing. There’s even an entire division dedicated to developing hacked copies of the game which has been active for many months. There are also a tremendous amount of bugs, display errors, and glitches. I have tried my best to document every flaw so that they can be fixed, and while some have been fixed thanks solely to my work, many bugs still persist. ✓ Constant state of upgrades needed.Here is the deal with this game. Although it is repetitive in some regard, there are more problem issues in my opinion. First, unless you are willing to spend loads of money to advance, you spend hours trying to get past levels with an under powered and under armored plane. It seems to me it often takes more than one or two upgrade to be able to overcome the level. Despite what the power numbers show, Each upgrade actually does very little for the plane’s power. Furthermore, upgrades become harder to achieve as the upgrades continue. For example, tier one star plane needs - don’t quote me - something like 400 modules to upgrade followed by a small chunk of coin. By tier 2 top star (I think 10) you need something like 2000 modules and a big chunk of coin. Second, the head to head mode seems predetermined or somewhat stacked for you or against you. I am just not sure you are playing the same screen as your opponent. The good news, I guess, is you likely hang around 50% win loss record and will always get a decent trunk reward. Third, earning a plane certificate seems to be based on luck. Lastly, there are a few modes, such as the stealth side game that is just straight up a bore. Although there are some other issue, the bottom line is this. No pay = short lived fun. But with this most recent update, the developer have ruined their own game in the name of monetizing it. Let me do a little math for you. In previous events, you could play certain levels and finish them in roughly 5 minutes. You would get roughly 150 medals. The premium reward for that event cost 50k medals. That’s playing 3 hours a day for 9 days and you would be a couple thousand short for the max reward...Now the pay out for those same levels is 80 medals for 5 minutes. You’d roughly have to play 5.75 hours a day to get the same rewards. Don’t bother. It’s a waste of time to play now. I like rubbing numbers to see how things changed. Even when they had it at 3 hours of play I knew I was never gonna get those rewards but hell I can use the other rewards I get but now I’m not even gonna get half the rewards I need to level up my planes. The most annoying part is that you get very little rewards for watching adds, about 3 gems or 10 gems per add and you have a maximum of 5 every few hours and you need 5000 gems-to buy a fully upgraded aircraft, 2000gems to merge your tier II planes and 10,000 to merge your tier III planes. And each plane in the merge has to be fully upgraded so In total you are spending about 20,000 gems to have a fully upgraded tier II or tier III plane. ✓ Fun for a whileThe game itself is fun however after a few weeks you just find yourself on an endless Cycle of ever increasing difficulty which just outstrips you plane’s capabilities. Very little changes in game, just more of the same with tweaked damage from opposition weapons making each hit harder all the while their damage reduced when you hit them, so you upgrade and you are back in the cycle. If the difficulty went up due to more enemy’s or faster enemies or different enemies then ok but most of the difficulty is just tweaked damage of the existing weapons. Kind of pointless. ✓ A good game, heavy grind for players.A great game inspired by the classics, unfortunately the marketing system is what causes the game to be poor. Now I and everyone else know it’s a free game but besides child gambling (the new gear system) that you developers added the box reward system is awful. Never knowing what reward you get is terrible especially when the only way to rank your plane, wingman and special abilities up is through random methods.A complete waste of time. When one person can get the items they need all randomly and the other players all spend months or years getting the same modules. Next is the price for in game purchases which is astronomically insane. It’s the 21st century a free to play game and your deals are hundreds of dollars??? Is that a joke? One console game is 60$ u.s. no special edition or anything but in this free game one plane cost over 40$ and it’s not even the best. To the developers be realistic it’s a game for kids what kid do you know has hundreds of dollars laying around? Your gonna drive your game into the ground no one wants to grind for days to get the modules they need that’s too unrealistic especially when the replay levels are you know the same thing. ✓ Too hard to understandGreat gameplay and mostly fun graphics, however my biggest problem, and quite frankly the problem that made me delete the game is that when you start there is little to no explanation for any of the features, it just tells you to do stuff without explaining, so it is very hard to grasp/understand anything, because there are so many things that just don’t get explained, and so as a player who had never played before, all I could really do was progress levels. ✓ Was fun at firstI’m not sure if it’s a new update or what; lately playing player vs player the game has been showing me as defeated when my plane still has “fuel” and I have at least 1 or 2 other planes left to rotate through. Also, watching ads to continue playing hasn’t been working consistently lately, wasting my time. Earlier today, I was playing a player vs player game and I did lose, but for some reason the game kept going without my plane on the screen. It went on for so long that I was able to use my boosters 2 more times after I lost, but the defeated sign never appeared. I had to exit the game to end it. The game gets extremely difficult to play without purchasing upgrades. It’s hard to earn the upgrades, despite watching soooo many commercials. ✓ DONT LET YOUR KIDS PLAY THIS GAMEYou can’t buy the most expensive planes without spending money. The most expensive plane is 5000 diamonds. If you play all levels to completion, you would get 3500 diamonds. That is if you choose not to spend any of the diamonds on upgrades for your weapons. If you were to watch ads to collect the remaining 1500 diamonds, this will take you 40 days because you are only able to watch 5 ads a day and each ad will give you an average of 7.5 diamonds. If you were to watch ads to instead collect all 5000 diamonds this will only be a commitment spanning ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FOUR DAYS. FOR A SINGLE PLANE. Not only that, but the combined price of all planes you can purchase is 49,900 diamonds. This will take 3 years, 8 months and 1 day. The alternative way to get 50,000 diamonds is to spend £500 on the game. ✓ Disappointing investment 👎🏼👎🏼Hi, I loved the game at first. I must admit I am addicted. It is a good game. The last two updates have changed my feeling toward this game. I have worked very hard and taken time away from other things to seek rewards that the updates have removed. I’m very disappointed. This current update has made me write this review. The devices changed to much lesser value ruins it for me. You say it is to balance the game and I understand you wanting to achieve that. It’s not a balanced game in the first place and that is a long list. The balance you are wanting to achieve is pushing more people to make in game purchases to make progress. ✓ Very nice, could be less pay-to-win thoughThis game is a great throwback to the 80’s classic and proposes it in a refreshing new appearance. I really like this game and think it’ll be a great time-waster while on a bus, on a train or something else. Though there are some drawbacks to this game, namely, how large the inclusion of pay-to-win strategies where you have to earn gems either by grinding the game for copious hours, grind adverts for hours on end (excluding the fact there is ALSO a limit to how many videos you can watch and a cool-down after watching to the video limit) and the constant bombardment of ads from gems (which allow you to instantly buy the best equipment in the game) and “bargains” which still cost a hefty amount. (On a side note, the progression of equipment in the game relies on you to earn/buy all these gems, though I will say it is good they have an alternative way of earning blueprints for things through completing story missions) Overall I really like this game, but the pay-to-win aspect really is a hindrance to free-to-play players. ✓ Standard pay to win gameLike many games these days, this uses the standard pay to win model. It has average graphics for its genre of top down view forward scrolling simplistic shooter, with an acceptable sound track. In order to advance at a reasonable rate, ie you don’t get stuck on the same level for months on end, you require extremely deep pockets. Where many games offer a monthly subscription to dispense with ads for a nominal fee, here you need $10 per week if you don’t want to watch ads for over an hour per day. Admittedly it gets cheaper at $33 per month, which is still outrageous compared to other games. Buying competitive ships will cost you thousands. Unless you have thousands to spend on a game, or get genuine satisfaction from being cannon fodder for others, look for a similar game that is not as greedy with its pricing strategy..Version: 8.43
✓ Impossible to advance without payingThis game is fun and has great potential. There is a surprising amount of variation of enemies and boss fights. Unfortunately, you’ll quickly hit your max potential without shilling out for in game purchases. It is not an exaggeration to say that are virtually no upgrades to be had through regular gameplay. Playing consistently will earn you coins, but better planes are unlocked with diamonds which are acquired at a snails pace. Coins can upgrade planes to a certain extent, but planes can only be leveled up after collecting so many specific items. After 3 weeks of daily play, I haven’t unlocked anything. ✓ Could be the best game, but it’s not.As many mention this game is pay to play, once you get up to mid level planes you can spend literally months playing 2hrs of boring daily missions and watching 50 ads a day to make even a slight improvement without shelling out $100s of dollars. The sad part is that this game is really fun, awesome game play, but rigged so you cannot progress without spending money. ✓ No one will care, but…I never write reviews, but I had to on this game. I’m not sure how it has so many good reviews but I ran into several problems with this game that the devs I’m sure will never even care about or even read this review. I got so far in this game only to run into the error of “to perform this event you must connect to internet.” I checked my Wi-Fi, other apps, overall connection on phone, and even bought a VPN and nothing worked. Looked up the issue online and several people seemed to have run into this same problem. So because of that, the game is very limited as it just won’t connect for some reason. So I saved my account, uninstalled the game and tried to play on a different device, and the account never synced. So all that progress is lost. Also, I reached out to the devs on their website and submitted the issue. Nothing. No response. Not even an automatic response. I’m glad so many others got to enjoy this game, but my experience was awful. Like I said, this comment will simply get lost in the sea of what seems like stellar reviews. When a product is purchased, it us bought "as is" - it can't loss or gain value without notifying the customer. That is y’all’s rules for developers not mine. ✓ Bugs profile achievementsGame is fun but bugs are everywhere. They seems fix one issue break 20 different working features. They broke achievements status on your profile on before last update, yet they did not fix this which is important for the gamer. On the recent update they broke tier lll devices screen. This is not the end, pvp United last stand matches picking often shows the game win points imaginary number where both players aircraft power can’t even match 1/4 that points, so opposite player plays better than the defendant players yet they lost the game. Seems no quality control and proper testing done before they release game to production. On the recent update they removed special features from all the aircraft. Should I assume it’s bug or was it intentional? Definitely discouraging to play this game. The dead saw and Gunmam F9F panther used to destroy enemy bullets, now they don’t do nothing.
