✓ Only staying for the cosmeticsThe game is okay but the crashes and the incredibly poor quality of customer support and gameplay has to be a joke. For over 2 weeks now I have been crashing, every map I go into, I crash. I contacted customer service and was greeted by a automated message or reply back saying that I should play on a different device until they can fix it. Unless they supply me with that “different device” then I’m not changing my device since this is the only one I use. They need more people working in customer service and customer support, they need to fix these bugs because I don’t understand how they’re releasing new events when there’s crashes happening every 3 minutes, it’s a total joke. I can’t candle run to get the cosmetics I want because of how this game crashes, it’s ridiculous. Tgc need to work on a lot of things especially on those bugs that are affecting hundreds of other players if not thousands and they need to fix the gameplay because it’s fine one minute and then it looks like it’s been drowned out by water. ✓ Great game but…I’ve been playing sky for a while and although it’s an amazing game, it’s simply too buggy for it to deserve 5 stars. Due to it having a small team(whom are lovely) It’s hard for them to fix the issues that’s been there since the beginning of the game. One of the most annoying issue is being separated from your friends while playing. For a game that focuses on social mechanics, it’s a hassle to get kicked to a different server so often. There are also many glitches and ways to skip core mechanics that makes the game feel less polished. Overall, Sky did a great job creating a short free game with spectacular visuals and good social mechanics. If it was more polished, it’d easily be the best free game on the App Store..Version: 0.15.1

✓ Good if the visuals are all you care aboutGame is very pretty and has a wholesome sort of vibe. Cosmetics are fun and come in a wide variety of colours and styles. Visually stunning. Gameplay-wise, however, it’s disappointing and frustrating. The game insists on cooperation with others. Cute in theory, depressing in reality. The main story is playable without the help of others but since there’s not much to do in the game besides collecting cosmetics, exploring hidden areas are a must. Problem is you’re often forced to work with one or more people to access these areas and most of the time NOBODY is stopping to help you. People online are still people, and most people are selfish. Best case scenario, you’re waiting at least half an hour doing nothing for someone to come by and help you OPEN A DOOR. Probably should have taking human nature into account and created an option or mechanic where this teamwork element isn’t a forced requirement. Control mechanics are a downright war crime. Besides running and gliding, you can forget any kind of small, controlled, precise movements. Want to land on a small surface? You’ll land, slide across it, and auto-leap off it for no reason. All in all, the game is pretty and tells a lovely story but the mechanics need to be way more polished and the forced cooperation with strangers should be revised or at least provide an alternative..Version: 0.19.6

What's the point when the game promotes and aids China with their current culture-raid? Currently, there are on-going attempts from China to steal historical Asian cultures, no matter of their actual origin. Not just the ones without a clear origin, but also the ones with a clear origin, like Kimchi. This developer promotes a historical hat called "Got" originated from China, when its origin is in fact unknown. ✓ Beautiful game but awful gameplayThis game is has truly awesome graphics and worlds but what is going on with my controls? The controls are incredibly unintuitive and difficult to use. I’m talking about a proper look function on the right hand side of the screen and movement on the left with a specific buttons for abilities. Also I had about completed the story before I had any idea what was going on, needs a real tutorial and explanation of the creative features. I went through all of the levels before realising that the light spirits are not actually just for customisation and are actually needed for the end of the game. It also needs a real pause and options menu and less focus around the emoticons and more focus on easier character customisation and unlockable abilities that actually give an advantage to gameplay. Last of all what the hell is up with the tunnel through the clouds on the first level off to the right of the map that allow for alternative access to the first temple. Makes no sense..Version: 0.6.5
✓ Love Hate dilemmaOk, I admit that this is a good game. The objects are well designed and I like how you change Home looks. I also like the events and seasonal events as well. I have played it on Nintendo for 3 or 4 months now. I am proud with progress and rate it a 5/10 recommendation. Now, multiple cons. Let’s admit it, we only do candle runs for candles for cosmetics - ooh that’s cool - Fine. The thing about that is... is the purpose of the game forgotten? It was designed to be friendly, donate candles to others and share kindness. Now? People look like DJs and famous rock stars with expensive sunglasses and starts dragging me to the changing costume area constantly switching costumes!!! Now, wait 3 seconds and stand still not lighting the circles in the 8 player lift, people start rapidly beeping and spamming the X emote and stomp emote!!! Additionally, some people spend a large amount of money on a hat. TGC laugh. A hat. Seriously, you are running out of ideas and make people see pixels move? *clap* Okay final one is age appropriate. This game is for children (as you see in the title) and the vast majority is adults. This is more to advice than feedback. What is the point of saying inappropriate words if you don’t know someone? ✓ So much grindingHello, I played sky for over a year. honestly , I do think this game is a master piece and truly an experience everyone should try. I ultimately got bored of the game after a while. everyday candle running for items so people don’t ignore you, or to look good, but it’s just too much grinding. I’ve made countless friends and adorable memories, but if you don’t mind grinding, this game is totally worth trying. sky, thanks for the memories..Version: 0.14.5
✓ Travelling sprits.I love this game, I really do. I’ve been playing since launch and I’m very grateful for everything we’ve been given but I’m starting to get annoyed with the travelling sprits. I think it’s a great idea to have old sprits visit but having them sell all of their cosmetics from earlier seasons which us veterans had to pay for is really annoying. Most, if not all of my veteran friends have the same opinion, we’ve been left with nothing to prove we are actually veterans. Which we are proud to be. The only cosmetic that shows you are actually a veteran is the original beta cape but there’s a duplicate of that which yes, is different but only slightly. We would really appreciate it if you’d help us with this problem but if you can’t, I understand. I just wanted to let you know of this problem in hopes you’ll help. Thank you. ✓ RepetitiveRecommended for new players, but after a while it gets boring. This game is amazing, especially for it being free. The only reason 5 stars aren’t given is because after about, a month, there’s not much new to do. Sure, there’s updates every season and you can learn new emotes and gain new items. But you’re never going to use these emotes and items if there’s nothing new for you to do in the game. I understand it’s a work in progress, and it’s going well, but it seems like the only thing that’s really happening is “Look! Shiny new wings!” And nothing really, truly new to the franchise. It’s terribly hard to make friends, which seems to be the whole point of the game, because you have to pay candles to get them. The grind is boring, hard and never feels rewarding. ✓ Really fun but short livedI really like this game, especially since I can play it on my iPhone. But- BUT. It’s really entertaining for a few months, mostly because of the interactions between players. You can emote and talk to each other, which is cool. In general, there’s not much plot OR direction. A fellow player taught me the ropes, which I definitely would not have been able to figure out by myself. The game is pretty subtle with a “go explore” type of feel, but then you get to the wasteland after exploring 4 other areas and suddenly you’re dying at every turn (I’m talking ‘bout the wasteland). Basically it’s deceptively easy and fun... until it throws you into the deep end like a terrible uncle and then you have a personal vendetta to beat it. From what I’ve looked up- there is no completing this game. Spoiler, but eventually you’re supposed to try and go up a mountain that’s really hard to get to and then get up, and then you die. I guess you’re never meant to make it up? And trust me- I went super hard up that mountain. It just left me confused. Like did I beat it? Idk. Not really sure what the experience is supposed to be other than pretty and frustrating. Not a forgiving game, not an easy game, doesn’t give clear direction, and a game that tricks you into a false sense of security. That being said, the physical mechanics are amazing. Very responsive. ✓ Gorgeous, but...I played this game for two days after I downloaded it. It was beautiful, interesting, and even a bit addictive. I found myself spending as much time as I could looking for secrets and more constellation spirits, but there was a problem. In my opinion, the controls in this game aren’t that great. I felt it the moment I had to try moving the camera, but I thought I’d get used to it so I kept going. However, they somehow only got more frustrating for me... A lot of times, especially while flying, I feel I have no control over where I’m going, and the camera does help. For example, I once found a cave with a cliff inside. I looked down and there were clouds at the bottom, so I tried jumping down to see if there was anything hidden. It turns out, there wasn’t. Instead I got stuck for about 5 minutes, trying to get my character to fly back up and out, but nothing worked. It was super frustrating, and by the time I got out, I’ll admit I was pretty motion sick. In fact, the motion sickness is the deciding factor of deleting this app. Imo there are too many similar controls in this game, which creates moments where you can just mix everything up. The camera is especially affected by this, as it seems to like to fight for control, making you lose control. ✓ Money hungry companyI strongly recommend against playing this game. i played it for multiple months starting around the time it released for the nintendo switch and the quality has declined immensely from that time. it masquerades as a cute friendly meet people and explore game but its really just a cash-grab. all of the ingame cosmetics are extremely expensive for a kids game, but if you dont spend an absurd amount of money or grind every day for hours to get cosmetics to look cool, most of the time you’ll just be glanced over by the other players. even the main game content has declined in quality, the past season didnt even have proper spirits or an area, the endgame portion is just hours and hours of grinding non stop and theres only really a 2-3 hours at most of exploring ( including season / add-on areas ). the game itself takes maybe 45 minutes to complete. the majority of the game is either farming until you drop dead from burnout or spending money so you dont miss the newest limited cosmetics in town. it is almost impossible to enjoy this game completely f2p because so many things are locked behind a paywall or extreme grinding / a massive wait. you cant even friend someone so or TALK to them without spending the in game currency!!! for a game thats marketed about friendship, this is absurd. do. not. get. this. game..Version: 0.18.5
✓ Pretty good gameI've been playing Sky for a couple months straight, but in recent months I've stopped playing. Although this game has amazing graphics and features, the gameplay is very repetitive. There's nothing to keep you coming back for the actual gameplay other than the new seasons and accessories. But that doesn't excuse the tremendous time and effort put into the scenery. Though, another thing that didn't work for me is how much you have to rely on other people. Personally, I'd prefer another way to obtain "hearts" that rely only on yourself. Even so, the current system is very nice for social players. Despite my personal preferences, the graphics and mechanics of the game are really stunning, it's the one thing that encourages me to come back. I love how much these little people are intertwined with nature and the spirits. I also love how you can customize your own character to make them really yourself. It truly is a wonderful concept put into perfect light because of this game. Overall, I'm rating this game a 3/5 stars because I wish there were more things I could do. And I hope that I could have gotten hearts more on my own than with others. But, the graphics and accessories system is top tier work. ✓ My honest opinion about skyI am not going to lie, this game is beautiful! Amazingly done graphics! I play this game every single day lol. But, with these types of server issues and other I have been dealing with just overall ruins the experience. In this review, I am going to go through my main issues. 1. Not understanding the concept When I first joined the game I didn’t understand the concept of Eden and the krill because the tutorial is so lack-lustre and plain, all I knew was how to fly and jump. You’d think that if in a game where you could DIE you’d be told by the tutorial earlier?? And I know for a FACT if I didn’t search up any tutorial earlier, I’d lose ALL stars in the first bit of Eden. The door looks so innocent from the outside too, of course new players would be interested. The game basically sends you out there without any warnings. Also, you can’t even fight against the krill, if you’re caught and have nowhere to hide, you’re dead and have to search everywhere again for your missing stars. This made me, as a new player, avoid Wasteland and Eden in general not knowing that Eden played a big role in the game which SHOULD have been explained in the tutorial. I feel like Sky tried to make this game the type to not really explain the story, to of course, make the game more interesting and make players seem curious, but it just made it more frustrating since I didn’t know I had to farm for so many things and missed out on so many opportunities. Like for example, travelling spirits, I didn’t know I had to farm for those because it doesn’t remind me on upcoming spirits beforehand that I needed to farm and I didn’t know I had to follow them on a social media platform to be able to get major updates. I thought following them was only optional. There is also a TS coming tomorrow, and I didn’t know until my friend’s friend told me so. 2. Friends poofing from a certain distance resulting in lack of communication. If you are with a group of friends and somehow separate at a far distance, the chances of you having to go back home is very very high. The WHOLE group has to go back home to reunite, because if you are the first to try to go back home and teleport to them won’t work since you’ll be spawned ALL THE WAY BACK at spawn meaning that if they aren’t at spawn (like at halfway or even the end of the dimension), if you try to get close they will disappear! Like?! Why can’t I just teleport to them to where they are in the server instead of being sent all the way back?? So instead, you have to wait at home, and you don’t even know if they’re having issues teleporting either because you can’t message people. 3. Camera issues The camera can get really annoying because it moves too much. If I’m trying to take a picture or even walking, I have to readjust the angle because it keeps moving upwards, it is really frustrating. 4. Ridiculous Eden bug that hasn’t been fixed in months If you’re with friends in Eden, and you die, your spirit spectates another person, or a friend with you, right? Well, after you spectate you’re supposed to die, right? In this bug, after you’ve spectated them you can’t die, you’re just spawned at the start with the raining rocks hitting you in your weak-about-to-die state and you can’t die! No cutscene, no nothing, you’re just there wobbling around at the start. You have to refresh the game, and if you’re with your friends and THIS bug happens, you can’t join them either, so, you can’t see them at the end. 5. Jumping issues You can auto-jump on stairs, but if holes/cliffs/slabs aren’t rounded you have to jump yourself. Also, I find it sometimes difficult jumping into holes because when I try, I just jump to the other side, instead I have to use the flying boost and have to wait like 10 seconds to fall down. 6. Having to wait for so long on multiplayer doors When you’re farming alone and in a empty server, you have to wait so long for the server to merge or for someone to come. I think the best way to avoid this from happening is to not put any candles in multiplayer doors at all. It’s annoying to wait for so long for just a few candles. 7. Conclusion In conclusion, I really like this game, but these issues just ruin the experience for me. Of course, I would recommend this game to my friends but in my experience revolving around these issues, Sky is 50% fun 50% frustrating..Version: 0.10.2

I feel the only reason why they released it on mobile was because people couldn’t really argue that there’s a lack of content because it’s a mobile game; Most mobile games don’t have a lot of content to begin with. If you were to compare this game to console games it would be a laughing stock As there’s bare minimum content, no replay value, in game purchases, and it’s main selling point is to play with friends or to make friends. Well first off I’d rather play any other multiplayer game than this because all there is to do is fly or make friends. ✓ So good But a Huge ProblemI absolutely love this game, the graphics are beautiful and the people are so nice, but there’s a few problems with it. After a while of playing I realised the only way to get more items and more places to explore was to go through the eye of eden, the second I walked through it I knew it was gonna be bad. It took me 5 tries and eventually I made it to a section where you were given HEAPS of light, I thought I had finally completed it but then a whole new area appeared that was way harder then the last one. I thought I could make it but it just got harder and harder to dodge the rocks so I quit and tried again after a week. And it wouldn’t even let me leave the eye of eden, Sky really helped calm me down after a stressful day at school and even my mum said I was a lot happier after playing it. However the eye of eden really ruined it for me. Please make it less hard and easier to get through because I really want to play it again, no one ever actually helps make it easier and I have to suffer over and over again trying get through it and finally leave the eye of Eden. I understand having to pay hearts and candles (in game money) for cool cosmetics like the Chibi Mask, or the Black Cape, but hearts are very hard to obtain, you either exchange with spirits, complete seasonal quests, or get it from friends, getting it from friends is the easiest option, but it’s still difficult, and candles can be hard to get a significant amount from, the Days of Bloom Cape was 70 candles a year or so ago, then became a shocking 80 candles, I don’t spend money on the game, but the prices for some real money cosmetics is ridiculous. Seasons should come back once in a while, and maybe you disagree, that’s alright, but at least make traveling spirits more obtainable prices, or maybe cast a vote that people can semi-choose the traveling spirit, in fact, seasons would be more appreciated if you let people, not just in beta, give you more ideas, not that you don’t do that, just make it more open to various people! Now onto the chat system, lately I haven’t been able to message, nor my friends, but now it’s working fine for them, I try to send a message but it only sends a empty space, I don’t swear or use vulgar language. ✓ This game is something specialThis game has gotten me and others through hard stages in life, this game is about community and finding people to connect with and for that I’m so grateful. I pre ordered this game in high school and now I’m starting my life outside of it, I don’t regret a single moment with this game and everyone should experience what it has to offer. Also the world of this game tells many different stories and for newcomers there are so many things and secrets to find so play this game you won’t regret it. I heard that those are people from other servers and this is the update after Aurora season. I feel overwhelmed cuz I play Sky to have peace for those blue days, not to add friends or anything but this make me feel exhausted even more and if i want to have my own place then have to pay for spell? Why dont u guys develop a separate space only for those instead of merge all servers and we have to pay for our privacy? This game was much better before the updates. ITS AMAZING the graphics are lovely, the story line is amazing I could go on forever buttttttttt, there’s one problem that has annoyed me for so long is that how do you get like 100 hearts like I’ve seen on videos of 500 like HOWWWWW I NEED ANSWERS I’ve seen so many tutorials on how to get hearts “quicker” no it doesn’t work for me I’ve bought all the hearts from the spirits I’ve tried coloring them I’ve tried so many things and I get like 3 hearts everyday sometimes even just one, i’ve tried so many things it just doesn’t work, I've also tried putting a message in the shrine thing and I put in a message and it just goes away the next day and I get no likes, nothing so what I’m saying is please add more ways to get hearts cause people are just plain lucky to even like get 500 hearts and not know what to do with them when people out there have like none after all the work they worked to just get hearts, it’s also hard to get 50 hearts for just the white wings like why i can’t even get that many hearts!!! ✓ Repetition and grindingGreat game to start off. I joined because the graphics were really nice and it had an interesting lore. It was fun collecting spirits and winged lights at first. Then, I wanted to get a cosmetic. Then another. And another. I slowly started getting light from candles. Doing maybe 2 realms a day. Then, I found more candle areas. And then some more. Suddenly I found myself in an endless cycle of doing a candle run everyday. For what? For candles so I can get cosmetics. Sometimes Eden and I have to collect all the winged lights all over again. What’s the point? I still can’t find it. 🧐 I made good friends though. They’re the reason why I still play. It’s hard to stop when you’re already stuck in the loop. This is a grinding game. You spend hours a day candle running so you can buy cosmetics. But eventually the excitement of them wears off. You can go to Eden every week for the same thing. And then you collect winged lights again and again. I did not download this game to candle run for 2-3 hours a day. Nor to repeat getting the same things over and over again. It’s really hard to keep up and you rarely have free time with friends. I got this game because it looked fun. I don’t know when I went from enjoying the game to grinding candles… On the bright side, almost all of the areas are free and you can go to them. The IAP are only season passes, candles and some cosmetics that mostly do nothing. You meet a lot of nice people and they can help break out of your shell if you’re introverted..Version: 0.15.5

✓ Scary, but great graphicsOk listen up parents or kids… I loved the game at first, great graphics, adventure plot etc etc. But then I figured out there was a chat that popped up during it…. I did not mean to chat at all, I was simply trying to sit on a bench during one of the regions in the game. A person came up sat next to me and asked where I was from and I immediately said I was not telling and blocked them. I did not know that you could do that at all, there is a chance that person was just somebody simply trying to have a conversation with another player (me) but it was also possible that it could’ve been somebody who could figure out where I was. It was really creepy for someone to chat automatically without permission and basically ask where I am. Do not use this game if you want some creep who wants to find out where you live. BE CAREFUL. This was my only problem in this game. Great graphics, story line etc. ect. I would like to add one more thing. Please let the person playing to have the choice to chat only if they know the person or have permission from their parents/guardian and trust that nobody can hack into their account. I just wanted everybody to know, such as myself, Being not allowed to text anybody you do not know on games. ✓ Great game but starting to get greedyFeels like the game is from console. There's a lot of interesting stuff happening every season. Its a bit of a learning curve but and can be frustrating especially for beginners. Not to mention, they don't really provide much of a tutorial. You'll either have to figure it out for yourself of have a friend/community help you learn. Sky is a very beautiful game but a lot of the items in the game have skyrocketed in price. A cape costs 30 dollars. A lantern costs 26 dollars. These are all in-game items. Their merch store was still expensive but was more practical. $24 for an interactive pin is much better than a virtual cape that doesn't even come with candles. I've been playing for over two years now and I'm telling you, sky used to take care of its players, but now, I'm not so sure. Play it, yes but I don't recommend spending money in here aside from the seasonal pass, its not worth it..Version: 0.16.5
✓ Unoriginal yet good gameSky: Children of the Light is a great game for those who wish to take a break from their troubles and spend sometime with their friends, it’s nothing more than that. The prices for candles is honestly expensive for a phone game and I’m quite disappointed that some of the items which were free in the past now have a payment wall to receive them. The story itself in Sky: Children of the Light is the same but worse than ThatGameCompany’s other game named Journey. Sky’s story only makes less sense, with plot holes all over the place. Where did these dark creatures come from? Why are they destroying the children of the light? What happened to the dark mountain that the character wishes to travel towards? All of these questions are left unanswered. While there are many problems with these game, I do admit that it’s quite fun with friends. Although you might lose motivation for the game after completing it the first time, there are still many things to do with your friends, such as hide and seek, travelling together in groups to complete events, creating your own characters, etc. The only thing I suggest is to not waste your money on this game, as it’ll only make the game less interesting..Version: 0.7.5
✓ So Disappointed :’<I was so excited to play this game for a while and finally took the time to sit down and play. I’m a huge fan of indie games but Sky to me is not a game. This “game” feels like a beautiful walking simulator. There’s nothing to do other than walk and tap things. No clear direction is given in terms of the game design. The movement mechanics on mobile are wonky. It’s extremely annoying trying to control the character and the camera (genshin impact does a 10x better job at this). The character movement is slow and unresponsive. The camera keeps moving back to weird positions when you try to fix the camera angle. There’s no real progression, goals, quests, exploration in this game when it seems like there should be. I love the art style, visuals, and music, but that’s about it. There’s no substance to the gameplay at all. Would love to recommend this game but I can’t. :’< I might give it another try on the nintendo switch to see if the controls are better. ✓ Beautiful but FlawedThis is my honest review on the game sky after keeping tabs on it for the past year and playing again recently. Opening this game and seeing the home come up will always be exciting, the graphics of the game, just like in journey, were done astonishingly. The characters and capes are super adorable and of course, being able to hug my long distance s/o (especially right now) will always be heartwarming! I love playing this game with my friends! The areas are all very pretty and the cloud graphics are super well done as well... but as shown above, I can only really give this game two stars. As beautiful and fun as it may be at times the negatives definitely rule out the positives. While sky is definitely an adventure game I still had a very hard time grasping what the point of the game was for a while, the ‘tutorial’ is purely just basic controls and there’s no real explanation anything?? You’d think the game itself would tell you the point of the spirits. the winged light was easier to grasp the idea of at first but still a bit confusing. After getting a hang of the controls actually trying to use them because EXTREMELY difficult when the camera angle has no set point, being able to turn the cameras angle should not constantly end up having my character in the bottom left of the screen. When having to play a game on iOS it’s very hard to keep everything levelled which is understandable but even just a lock option to centre the camera to your character would be so useful. I hate trying to press on myself and accidentally jumping off into the abyss. As easy as the controls can be to pick up they can be so janky, I’ve had multiple occurrences where I will Try to turn or jump in a more stressful area of the game and the complete lack of control when my camera cuts into the ground drives me insane, I’ve had to close the game a few times out of frustration because I’d clip into the ground and be attacked by one of the dark creatures. When you invert the flying controls it’s only effective in fly mode which is a little frustrating cuz I have to switch between and always get mixed up (I prefer to have inverted flight). This game relies a decent amount on teamwork which would be great.. if I wasn’t constantly separated from the friends I play with. Every time we go into another area or even get stuck in a cut scene we end up in separate servers and usually the game won’t even let us join the other even though we both fully have access to the area or have travelled to them there before no problem. This game is so much more of an experience when playing with friends and it sucks having to restart areas because we got separated, especially when the only way to meet up again is some complex home loopholes. The entire friend system is a bit weird to begin with, more set rules when it comes to friends would greatly benefit the game. For example, not yet lit players being able to trigger cut scenes caused me to miss the entire first couples areas. If only the players I have shared a candle with or even befriended could effect the environment for me that would make so much more sense. Going into areas and immediately getting the finishing cutscene for somewhere I just got to for the first time completely ruins the new experience? I just see a lot of flaws in the buddy system such as not being able to remove or really block people. The game does a beautiful job with the graphics but pleaseeee add lighting settings. I can turn down my phones brightness but it just makes the whole thing darker, doesn’t really fix the problem of the lighting going super bright in some areas where it’s almost too bright to see ahead. I’ve also had a couple occurrences where the spirit just stops as it’s going into the body after chasing it down and tapping the button to light it. In some areas even I’ll get teleported to the end due to a triggered cut scene and genuinely miss so much of the map, which sucks cuz it is quite beautiful. I wish there was also some form of a map or layout I could see to just double check I’ve gotten or seen everything!! The one thing I’m worried about right now is if I’ll be able to transfer my data to the switch when it’s released, I’ve been avoiding buying anything with real currency because if it doesn’t transfer nothing will be worth it. Being able to play on my switch will absolutely make the experience more enjoyable considering I won’t be touching the screen to move around! Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love this game! It’s truly a whole new direction for IOS games and I will continue to play it.. but unless there’s an update or the switch version is less broken in most aspects, I still have to give it two stars. ✓ 5 Stars……1 years agoThis company started off very well, charging little bits of money therefore making a lot of money. I supported this company as they struggled at the beginning I bought items in the game that helped support the company like the founders cape bundle that literally states you’re supporting the company but then they give free access to everybody in the game when there are things being celebrated and when there’s not the Cape is not worth having. Now they charge you ridiculous amounts of money and everything is have and have nots, I am a spender in this game, I’ve spent a lot of money I don’t even want to think about how much I’ve spent on this game and all the things I bought other players as being a gifting game. They even get more greedy because other countries that cannot afford it they’re anticipating the countries that have more will buy them stuff. The company has gone a completely different direction they have slacked off on the games development and I they ask for sometimes six times the amounts they used to ask for ($30 for a cape, every update to stay relevant is over $150) Sure you can play for free but what you wear will be how you are treated in the game, if you have nice stuff you will be treated nicely if you have non-premium outfits most players will ignore you and sometimes never help you. But when you get said premium item and you become very popular they will then release it a few months later for free and you will be looked at as a player that just started even though the developers promised they would not release said items in the future again so they have lied to players many times, servers crash without any kind of notice or even the developers saying they’re working on it. We just pay large amounts and we sit in the dark. I have been playing since August 2019 and they still shock me with the greed. 3 phases of purchases in the Aurora update 🤨.Version: 0.19.6

✓ Major flawsWhile this game is visually appealing, it does have a lot of flaws. The repetitive gameplay and day to day farming for candle objective gets boring real quick, quickly turning into a chore to collect items. It really doesn’t help that cutscenes occur every 10 seconds when you need to go around the same areas again and again to farm candles. It’s a massive battery drainer as well. However, the imo the biggest problem are the the controls are clunky and inconsistent, sometimes you jump with too much force and then you slip off the tiny rock that you were given to stand on, and you fall, losing all your progress in whatever you were doing. One time, I was in the Vault trying to guide a spirit. Now, I’m not a fan of guiding spirits, but that one stood out by being terrible. You had to guide an extremely slow floating spirit to its memories whilst doing parkour along 40 rocks. One wrong move and you’re completely done, as if you’re not next to the spirit for a few seconds it despawns and your progress is completely lost. I was a few jumps away from completing the guide when the floating spirit decided to stop floating and fall down between two rocks and fall all the way down to the beginning. Also, to anyone who thinks this game is a fun, relaxing, exploration game you can explore with friends, think again. Eye of Eden and Golden Wasteland make sure that you’re on your toes. ✓ Confusing and frustratingThis game is beautiful and has a great soundtrack but the gameplay is downright awful. I’m not sure if it’s just me but I would have preferred something more open or less open but this is some weird in between where nothing is explained and you just wander a pathway that has already been picked. ✓ Too busyI’ve played this since the first alpha and honestly... I think that’s when it was a it’s best. Yes the graphics and sound effects are far more polished now, but there’s just too much going on and it seems like they lost sight of what this game was supposed to be, just tried it again recently and I had to put it down after about 20 mins, I played the beta at least 20 times and loved it. Very disappointed. Edit for clarification: its hard to exactly put into words but I’ll do my best, when playing the game during the alpha it was a fairly smooth experience (albeit buggy), with very little in the way of video sequences. But with the latest iteration I seemed to be interrupted from playing every couple of minutes by something going on, many of the puzzles and challenges were completed by other players before I even got a chance to find out what the puzzle was. There were pop ups for something happening every 30 seconds or so - unlocks or new candles etc. I think the most frustrating thing was how often gameplay was interrupted by a video sequence and stopped me from playing and exploring, and sometimes unexpectedly..Version: 0.10.2

✓ Many Bugs/Issues + Very Difficult to Earn HeartsThis game is addicting and beautiful and I’ve been playing for about a month now. But over that time, I’ve experienced so many issues and bugs. It seems like there’s so many bugs yet nothing is being done about it. For example, I work hard to get to a certain point in the game and get screwed over because of a bug and need to basically start over at a certain point or exit out of the app and redo everything in order to avoid the bug. This should not be happening in a game that has so much potential. Additionally, earning hearts in this game is very hard especially if you don’t have reliable friends to trade with. Even then, earning hearts is too difficult. I guess the difficulty of earning them would not matter as much if the cosmetics didn’t cost so much. For example, the black cape from Golden Wasteland is worth 50 hearts. Are you kidding me? For many of us solo players who rarely play with friends, that’s impossible to achieve unless you want to spend an absurd amount of time on it. And that’s just for ONE item in the game. If you’re going to make an item very hard to earn, you can’t make the respective cosmetics expensive as well. No one is going to want to spend over half a year working towards unlocking one item they want. There needs to be more balance TGC. I mean come on, 50 hearts is ridiculous especially considering how hard it is to get one single heart as a solo player. It’s honestly really frustrating..Version: 0.11.1
