✓ MehI have played a lot of these modern Myst-like knockoffs. I totally disagree with many of the other people who loved this game. I would say about half the puzzles were ok. Some were just straight up some ridiculous concoctions with nice art around them. The animation is nice. Nothing as good as The Room games though. Maybe more in line with $2.99. Certainly not worth the price they are charging! I will give the programmers one compliment related to reading the stupid letters that were left around to read. They are more legible than previous versions on the phone. Still needs a lot of improvement though. I would wait until this game drops below $3 before even considering buying this game. It was overall decent graphics, dumb story, half decent puzzles, other half just plain forced into the story and not good puzzles. Sorry!.Todd LevineVersion: 1.0.5

✓ Maybe it's just meI started playing and encountered the past/present crossbow. I need to destroy the giant jugs. I wasted some arrows, but figured out I needed to go into the present to pick up some more. Great. The only problem is that now that I have more ammunition, I am unable to aim the crossbow. The (sight? I'm not sure of the terminology) viewfinder thing is missing again. I've looked all over in the past and present to replace it, but I haven't had any luck. I guess I'm stalled? Maybe it's my fault. Maybe I overlooked something, but I feel like maybe the devs overlooked replacing the crossbow's viewfinder. Idk..PoopuffVersion: 1.0.3

✓ Loving the game until i got stuck in a glitch in Chapter 3!This game has had me glued to the breakfast table every morning before work. I am now stuck in a glitch. I took screen shots. It happened when I found the Pope’s secret chamber downstairs. I found the puzzle to the right of a door and decided to check the rest of the room out before working on the puzzle. There was a way to enter “somewhere” to the left so I did and it was a dark room with a sky light and a letter on the floor. I picked up the letter and read it, then turned around and it won’t let me leave because it thinks I am trying to go back out the main door. I installed the upgrade but it didn’t fix it. I am going to now have to restart the chapter I guess. I will update my review after I see if restarting the chapter works..Smd711meVersion: 1.0.4

✓ DisappointingI have played the previous games and enjoyed them-definitely a cut above most games. However, this one was a disappointment. The puzzles were often nearly impossible to solve(I love challenging puzzles, but, really??). And, part of the reason some of the puzzles were difficult was it felt rather glitchy. It just felt to me like I was moving from one nearly impossible task to the next, so, not enjoyable. ✓ Brilliant game but very frustrating!This game has not disappointed from what I have managed to play. I am now in my third attempt to play the game as I get so far and then the game deletes my profile. The first time this happened I started a profile again and then after the second chapter my original profile appeared with the newly created one. ✓ Bug in cave with craneI can’t complete the game because of a bug with attaching the hook on the crane to the loop on the trapdoor in the cave. I’ve spent 15 minutes just trying to get the hook through the loop. The graphics here are bad, as the hook moves through the solid part of the loop, glitching through it, and it’s flat-out impossible to get it in the loop. I’d love to finish the game, but this is making it impossible. Can you either fix it or refund me? Edit: that hook is AWFUL. I restarted the chapter, suffered through that horrible opening-the-cave puzzle again, forgot about the bag, and now I can’t attach the hook to the bag. I’m done with this buggy game. WAY too expensive for such a game-breaking bug. I recommend you just make the hook click on to something with no manipulation, since this is simply ridiculous. Don’t buy this game until they’ve done some bug fixing, y’all. Edit: Well, the crane bug is fixed, but now I can’t get the crane to stop once I start pushing it. It just keeps pushing. Sigh. ✓ A little glitchyHave played all the da Vinci games so far and have enjoyed them. 1 and 2 were far better though. Had similar problems to other gamers, my profile would disappear. I’ve discovered that you have to force quit the game twice before the profile appears again. This was after starting the game from the beginning once already, luckily I wasn’t too far into it before my discovery. The save point was quite frustrating. You can’t continue where you left off within a puzzle and have to start it from scratch. Also, if my screen timed out, or if I switched apps momentarily, the game would crash or restart; therefore making me have to force quit twice for the profile to appear and redo the puzzle. A little tedious. There are also places where the graphics in geometric shapes would flash green randomly, particularly in Borgia’s hideout. The story line has been great and the puzzles mostly fun, however some puzzle were less intuitive that the first 2 games. You really have to guess what is expected of you. You end up with a lot of trial and error and using hints. Would have been better without all the glitches..Albeth85Version: 1.0.5

✓ Good butFelt a little like some of the puzzles accepted any sequence and let you continue without actually having to decode/work anything out. Not as much freedom to roam the rooms. Not quite up to the standard of previous versions. If you found a key, it fit the door right next to you straight away. ✓ The game is a little randomI generally love these type of games, and was hoping for great new instalment. However, I think the chapter is severely let down by the logic, or lack thereof, of the puzzles. Many of the puzzle don’t really make sense and can’t be figured out logically, it’s just a matter of pressing stuff randomly until something clicks. ✓ OK, but just OKNot a patch on the Room series, and this third instalment is the weakest of the series. At times the UI is very frustrating, with some visual glitches; and I found myself randomly tapping the screen many times or waiting for most of the hints as the next step was hard to understand. Some of the puzzles were just random moves with no overall sense of an actual puzzle. Thank goodness for the ability to skip the many stilted and poorly animated cut scenes! ✓ TediousI enjoyed the previous two games and I lament to give a low rating because clearly so much care and attention has gone into making it, the graphics and artworks are really lovely. ✓ DesapointedAfter playing the THODV 1 and 2 I am disappointed with this one. The game is not as engaging, the graphics are worse and the puzzles are less interesting. It’s almost like this is the 1st one in the series instead of being the last one. ✓ Fun but glitchyThis game has the great qualities of the previous two but the glitches make it frustrating to play. I’m most frustrated by the tendency to backtrack and not save progress. Even if I complete a chapter, it sends me back to the previous one and I don’t always remember which of the things I did still exist and which were erased. There is a workaround for the profile erasing bug. If I choose an empty profile (not from the slot where mine should be, but from an unused slot) and then hit cancel from the profile naming screen, my profile is back where it should be..A mom in NCVersion: 1.0.6

✓ HmmmmNot very impressed to be honest. Not as good as 1 & 2. Graphics seemed a bit lacklustre and the cut scenes were awful! Most of the ‘puzzles’ involved finding things first, and that involved looking looking in random places and tapping everything - that’s is not a puzzle!! The actual puzzles were ok but they did start to get a bit random towards the end and I was solving them just by randomly moving things around until it worked - there appeared to be no logic to them. Then they just got too easy and the final one was very disappointing and again appeared to have no logic in the order needed. Once again I solved it just by trying combinations in order. Maybe I missed something on these ones but I could not work out the logic even when I solved them. Still, I got 15hrs of play out of it which is good value I would say, but honestly I was getting bored by 3/4 way through and just persisted because I wanted to finish it. In response to your response, It’s pointless telling me you that your next game hopes to challenge my views of this game! ✓ Beautiful game with some terrible design.I purchased it because I love these type of games. Divine II was excellent and intriguing. This game I feel added unnecessary running back and forth to help give the game length. I had to use a lot of hints, and I’m usually very good at these games. It just didn’t flow well. I have to give them credit for having talented story writers and artists. Production quality is excellent. Unfortunately this time they just didn’t get thing flowing well. ✓ Difficult and arbitrary controls hiding solutionsFrom the first moments I was frustrated by how difficult it is to move and look around. Some objects have very limited perspectives — but guess what, some of them you have to look at the back of to solve, even though it seems like the perspective would be locked like so many places. Though the first one of the series didn’t bother me too much, this one makes it clear that the designers ought to be copying what works in the Room series much more closely. ✓ Disappearing profilesI enjoyed the first 2 in the series and was really looking forward to this one. However, I’m having increasing problems with my profile being “missing”. First time I was near the beginning so just repeated it. Second time, I was further in but again decided to start again. I’d made a bit more progress when it’s lost again. ✓ Great Game, Erased Progress!I was about 75% done with this game. I didn’t play for a few days. When I tried to pick up where I was my profile was gone. All that time, all those puzzles, I have to do all over again. How infuriating!! I want my money back or my progress back. I feel like I wasted my money on this one. I’ve been playing these games from the beginning. Update: Regarding the response, it was never set up to sync with iCloud. ✓ Good but I and II betterStill a few bugs to sort on this but the graphics are as good as ever. I found myself stepping away a few times from this one and not as hooked as the first two. Felt the scenes were drawn out a bit and puzzles a bit easier/basic. Was getting frustrated with the back and forth aspect at points. Bug wise, a few times I’d put the game down, come back and it hadn’t saved my progress and I’d have to re-do some puzzles. iCloud all set up correctly. When I load the game, more often than not it does not come up with my profile and I have to reload. Is there a save facility ? Because I can’t see it.
