✓ Charged me right awayI thought the app was cool at first and i bought the subscription thinking it would charge me $1.99 a month (not knowing you had to choose a plan right away because it makes it sound like it’s only $1.99 a month), and immediately I was charged $20 which wasn’t what I wanted. ✓ Perfect idea but horribly executed.This app is so perfect in many ways — it’s beautiful, well designed, has very trendy and “in” templates to work with which is amaaaazing if you’re in e-commerce. HOWEVER. The app falls short on mechanics. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice but still couldn’t get it to work. It was as if the app wasn’t recognizing the touch on my screen. Nothing would work when I tapped it. Well, it was extremely moody so sometimes it did and sometimes it didn’t. I’m not sure what’s going on with the app itself but I hope a developer or someone in charge of tech can look at it soon. I was questioning the state of my phone, but my touchscreen is working perfectly outside of the Highlight Covers app. :/ I’ll definitely change my review when this gets fixed, because I love EVERYTHING else about this app and would even consider buying the paid version once the technical difficulties are sorted out..Version: 4.1
✓ ScamThis app is a scam, when I first installed it, it asked me to upgrade to premium for $2.99 weekly and I did. I was never able to access the layouts labeled as “PRO” yet when I checked my spam emails, I had received 6 receipts (weekly) of being charged $2.99. ✓ DisappointingThis app looks like it will have a lot of options, but the templates are barely customizable. almost everything in the app is like a tan/neutral color scheme. If that’s the look you’re going for, you might like this. But for people who are used to apps like Unfold, Canvas, etc. where you’re able to manipulate things and cater them to your liking, this will be a grave disappointment. You’re better off just using other free options. This is NOT worth 20$ per year, and they do not have any way of seeing what all they offer before paying, nor do they do refunds. ✓ Cute but Crashes OftenI used this for a good two months and loved the collages i could make with all the options available. But after those two months the app constantly freezes and crashes. It doesn't save your edits automatically so when it freezes all that hard work goes away. Now the app just won’t open up again. For example, in the last update the ‘signature’ font is missing and it’s no more part of the given fonts type (honestly, why did you do that??). ✓ NOPEThis app is very hard to use. It’s hard to access layers to change colors, you have to move overlaid text out of the way. If you make a mistake, there is no undo! If you want a deleted item back, you have to start over. Text is nearly uneditable unless you change it to black and then later to the floor you want, because of the screen color. Booooo. ✓ Awful.This app has a great concept but is not fully developed. There a lot of bugs. Typing is awful. It doesn’t have a cursor. It’s not responsive. After figuring out ways to get around it and you finally save it, it uploads to Instagram differently. The fonts don’t align and are hard to read. I’ve played around and used every font possible just to see and they all upload differently or squished. Also, there’s no way of saving creations/projects to your own folder so if you want to edit, you have to start from scratch. ✓ GarbageThis is honestly the crappiest app. Super buggy. I put a combined 2-3 hours into trying to make my images, which was extraordinarily frustrating since halfway through the procedure the whole app randomly closes. I tried this several times with changing things on my end, but it’s just a bad app. The only way I was able to finish a flyer was by downloading Canva and doing it there. I’d give 0 stars if I could, but they already have $60 from me so I don’t think they care. “7-day trial” is actually 6-day, so be sure you unsubscribe immediately once you realize it’s trash.
