Mobile File Transfer for Negative User Reviews

Not paying new subscriptionThis software was free, and used it often for the R6 since November last year. Now all users need to pay around £6 a month for it. I’ll stick to photo mechanic and lightroom to write the iptc from now on..Version: 1.3.20

Subscription? Why?Why as a subscription the hardware costs thousands and you want to screw us for more cash to make it usable..Version: 1.3.20

Refuse to pay subscriptionI was looking forward to getting an R5 as at the time this app was free to use now it’s £6 absolutely disgusting charging for the app, now with this I may look at other options for a camera that does the same thing and free app.Version: 1.3.20

Unstable, no editing options, clunkyThis app is meant for press photographers like myself. It does not maintain a stable connection with IOS dropping out every time, then requiring a 5 plus step wizard and an 8 digit number every time to connect, often not connecting needing to start the process again. No ability to adjust image brightness or any easy way to crop. Loading xmp caption data is a pain. Will not work with older SFTP servers. No IT support. Now requiring a monthly fee, for an app that barely works. Canon if you want to keep professionals on your system, do better it’s 2022. Nikon and Sony are looking like a better option for news shooters right now where fast work flow is paramount..Version: 1.3.20

Subscription cultureWhat! Everyone seen to want you to pay for everything £6 a month, subscription! I have paid for the camera I am not going to continue to pay for it. I will pull the card from the camera and stick it into external storage probably quicker to do that..Version: 1.3.31

What a rip offPaid £4000 for an R5 and expected to pay £6/month to use this to transfer images, appalling!.Version: 1.3.20

Why require a subscription? Is this a joke? Why is a subscription required? The app is not using the developer’s website or any other resources that require them to pay money. The SFTP protocol is a point-to-point protocol between your phone and the SFTP server of your choice. The developer could probably charge a one time fee to cover the costs of developing the app, but that’s about it. But the main product being sold is not this app, it’s the camera and extra lenses. So yeah, the subscription is a great way to piss off your users..Version: 1.4.0

CrooksIt was free then it auto deleted from my apps now they charge after we bought the camera.Version: 1.3.31

Exploitative of customers to require a subscriptionNo reason for there to be a subscription-based pricing model for such a simple piece of functionality. Feels scammy and should be free given hardware is built into the camera, at a minimum it should be a small, one-off fee..Version: 1.3.20

5000 dollars for a camera and there’s a 5 dollar subscription???I paid many thousands for a Canin camera and then I cannot download my images using the companies app unless I pay $5? Seriously?.Version: 1.4.0

JkelsoI totally agree about the £6 charge for the app. It’s money-grabbing to say the least. Hopefully some other route to a similar solution can be used..Version: 1.3.31

Good first tryOkay Canon, a good start but needs cropping of the images and the ability to rename the images. Also, can’t see if you can connect 2 or 3 cameras at the same time- for pro’s we usually are using at least 2 bodies on a job so need to be able to send from both. An app like this is a potential game changer so keep up the good work Canon!.Version: 1.2.0

Subscription jokeAfter spend thousands on a camera they want to hit $7.99 a month for something that cost them nothing, what a joke Canon!.Version: 1.3.31

Doesent workSimply doesn’t work..Version: 1.3.10

Pay wallI didn’t buy a camera just to be forced to buy a subscription..Version: 1.3.31
