✓ Jipped of pointsI started out thoroughly enjoying this game, simply but reissuing , however, when you reach a certain level, one is supposed to get a certain amount of points, in my case every time I reached 5000 points, I would get a 50 point bonus, and I started noticing, that they were not giving me the 50 point bonus and it was happening frequently, and considering you need these points to be able to rotate the blocks etc., It was very disappointing !! I think they need to tweak their system or something ! I did contact the developer to no avail! I also think that the 300 point option to move all blocks to the bottom of the page is a bit extreme, because if you hit the button by accident, and it’s in a strategic place where it happens often, then you lose a really good chunk of points, all in all I deleted the app because I just got tired of being shipped of my points, and it wasn’t relaxing for me anymore For the record……I DID contact the developer through the settings section on the app……….no reply.Version: 1.13.2

✓ Wonderful until last graphics updateI’m a hug fan if this app. The gameplay is great and I’ve even gotten past the pile of ads because the whole point of the game for me is to not be in a rush so I’ll deal with the interruptions. However this latest update has ruined the visual appeal of the app for me. I love all the beautiful backgrounds and up until this last update the playing space was dark or blended in nicely with the background colors. Now the game board and upcoming tiles box, which collectively take up a majority of the screen, are almost solid white. I’m sure that helps render your much more realistic tiles easier, but for someone that has fully embraced dark mode on every app they have, it is an assault on the eyes and it almost negates the calm I experienced when playing before. Please do something to darken the game board like before or offer a dark mode. I’ll go back to 5 stars if that update comes. Thanks.Version: 1.8.0
✓ Ads!!!I’ve played this game for years as it’s very addictive. Problem is recently there has been an ad that pops up in the middle of playing and you have to exit out of it twice to get back to your game. ✓ I like it butI enjoy this game quite a bit. I play it often and recommend to most people looking to just pass some time. But recently I’ve been having one big issue. You can use power ups that rotate your playable blocks and one that uses a magnet to pull played blocks down and make room. You’ll need coins to use these though. The option to use them is at the bottom of the screen and too often I’ve accidentally used the magnet power up which costs 300 coin which is actually quite a lot especially compared to the 50 coin price of the other power up. If I’m trying to swipe out of the app or I just brush my finger across the button it’ll spend the coins. If those buttons could be moved from the bottom of the screen and put somewhere else that would make this game a five star. But since I’ve lost easily 1000 coin from accidentally using a power up when I didn’t even need it I have become bitter. Please change this because I love playing Blockscapes.Version: 1.14.2
✓ Ads are taking overHave played this game for quite a while and enjoyed it until now. Recently however ads for the particular game Gardenscapes, pops up and it takes a good 30 to 40 seconds to play all if the advert through. There is no X marker to close down the advert. You just have to let it play the whole scenario through. Very boring, very time consuming waiting for the thing to finish playing. Why are you allowing this to happen? We should have a choice of whether we want to see the whole advert or not?.Version: 1.14.4
✓ Ad glitchI love this game, I don’t even mind the ads after each game BUT every second ad just turns into a blank screen and I end up having to close the game down and open it up again. Quite frustrating to only be able to play twice before having to shut down. You can lay to have the adverts removed at a cost of £3.99 but that’s only for 30 days which I think is greedy of the developers. Also it can be annoying when the computers Al suddenly decides to put a block in your reserve box knowing you cannot place it anywhere. ✓ Too many ads and not enough rewardsThis is a good game but the monthly award is equal to the value I would earn watching an ad. Additionally you have to pay every time you want to rotate a cube and the cost is high…watch 2 ads or pay. Even if you choose not to watch ads to buy boost you still have to watch an ad when you complete a game. Finally the x button on the ad does not work well. You can tap the button and it keeps opening the App Store page for the ads or the x button is just not available and you lose the reward you earned for watching the ad. ✓ Fun Game, Poor QualityI love to play this game! So much fun and love the skins you win as you level-up. There have not been any ‘updates’ lately for this game… I’m wondering if that is causing the poor quality in glitches that I have seen in the last month. The blocks do not adjust into the grid correctly or land on the grid where I did not intend for them to be placed. Sometimes it takes five minutes for the game to load and once I’m playing the game, it takes a good 10 seconds before the blocks will transition to the grid. I’m also noticing that my phone begins to overheat (within the first 30 seconds of having this app game open) while I play the game, and I have no other apps open. I do not have this issue (of the phone overheating) anything else that I do on my phone. I really hope the creators of Blockscapes will correct these issues soon!!! ✓ “Remove ads for 30 days”I almost clicked to remove ads for $3.99, but caught the “remove ads FOR 30 DAYS” before I paid. No, thanks, I don’t need a game that costs more annually than most utility apps out there. Without this option, the ads are relentless. Another scummy mobile setup. UPDATE: The developer response is correct FOR A DIFFERENT GAME, you can in fact pay to remove ads permanently in Wordscapes. I purchased it myself, which is why I tried it again! Unfortunately, this is a review for BLOCKSCAPES, which is a different game with infinitely worse monetization. I even reinstalled it to make sure I hadn’t missed the option — it isn’t there. ✓ Frustrating for the Wrong ReasonsI really like this game and the gameplay itself is fun, challenging and addicting but the Ads get repetitive and annoying. Please add an option to pay to remove them. I’d pay to not have to deal with ads every single time I have to go through a level. ✓ GlitchyThe game it’s self is fun, it’s addictive, simple and a good time waster. It’s nothing new but it’s enjoyable and could get a higher rating. The adverts are the issue. Not because there are to many, one after each level, no in game ads, but because you can’t exit out of them ! The save the king advert has 3 layers to exit out of then restarts with no exit option! Others lead you to a blank screen which you can’t get out of so you have to exit the game. ✓ Starting today, end of Feb 2023 ad popping up just by moving blocksSome ad Glasslan or something started today. It’s activated somehow just by me sliding the blocks into place. It actually pops me out of the game and into a web browser where it opens the ad. So my tiles get dropped wherever it was when the ad felt like activating (which is a longer hold or slide distance it seems), which usually isn’t where I was aiming for plus it happens often. ✓ Scam - Blocks given are intentially wrong for puzzleThe game starts fun. Then after awhile you'll start to notice the shapes they give you are intentially wong/backward for the current state of the puzzle. You have to use coins/tokens to flip them to make them fit. You run out of these tokens quickly and you have to purchase more. Without having tokens to flip the parts the game eventually becomes annoyingly unbeatable and there's no way to be successful at it. It would be so much better/more fun if the blocks were truly given at random but it's very obvious they are dispensed in an orientation that forces you to make in-app purchases to be successful. I had fun and found it relaxing for awhile but now I truly do not recommend..Version: 1.16.0

✓ Not as advertised!This game was advertised on social media (Facebook) and showed a game that can be described as Tetris mixed with the standard block sliding puzzle game. Sliding blocks on screen to make rows for points after each move all the blocks shift down revealing more blocks added to the puzzle. That’s the game I wanted to play. Not some other clone of this typical game. That’s false advertising and everyone involved should be ashamed and fix the issue. “Oh… well our game is just a clone nobody would care to see again so we’ll advertise it as something different with the skin of our clone on it. ✓ Loved the game until it started laggingThis has become the only game I play on my phone lately but the last two updates have made it run so slow and log so bad on my phone that it is always closing itself out or freezing while setting blocks down. ✓ Eh…The ads don’t really bother me so much. I just wait for them to end and exit out of them. Sometimes I’m even interested in some of the other games advertised. Thankfully, I haven’t come across any inappropriate/unpleasant ads like I’ve seen in some of the other reviews, and I’m new to the game so unfortunately, I can’t relate as far as knowing why the update was so terrible either. What I do hate, and I’ve only seen two other reviews mention it so far, is being forced to use pieces that kinda screw your whole game over. I’ll have a nice round one minute and rack up some decent points, the next round though, I’m losing almost immediately because of the pieces I’m forced to work with. Gives me that ‘project makeover’ vibe where you’re forced to lose so you have to spend money. Doesn’t really make sense here considering the only real in-app purchase I’ve seen, is to remove the ads. I can accept losing a round, or not making a lot of points because of an error on my part, but when I line the pieces up to where I could knock out several blocks at once just to be given a bizarre or inconvenient block that I can’t even at least orientate to help me out more, it’s kind of annoying. ✓ Fun but irritatingMost of the reviews are irritated at the ads. I’m not one of them I am irritated by the block selections. I can have the board filled just enough to need a couple of small blocks to be able to wipe out most of my board and the next three block patterns are the biggest on the board. Or I keep getting hit with the 3x3 blocks over and over again making it impossible to actually get any kind of score. ✓ Frustrating and Stressful!This game is excellent when you are new to it, but becomes highly frustrating after that! I played it on and off for years, and my highest score is 5,300. Looking at the top score, currently it’s 851,000. How is that even possible?? At one point there were scores in the millions which I believe were fake! I searched the web for hints or videos showing how to get high scores but there is nothing, so it seems it’s all fictional. The newer features like the magnet icon take very long time to activate as the designers are very stingy with coins, and it’s so easy to hit the icons accidentally while playing which burns your coins at the wrong time! They should build some undo function or move these buttons to the top so you don’t accidentally activate them! Also, the ads are too long and appear every time you lose, which could be seconds some rounds! The ads tend to repeat which is also annoying. They should give you coins for watching these ads to make this bearable! In short, this could be a great game but it’s too frustrating and very difficult..Version: 1.14.4

Game kept crashing/locking up and not saving my scores. Options to rotate blocks cost 50 coins per rotate and will nearly always take 3 rotates to get the blocks the right way around, so too expensive, especially if you refuse to pay for extra coins. If connected to the internet, it randomly slows and or caches something while it searches for the next ad or polls your phones for who knows what. Developer says you don’t need an internet connection but that’s not true. Without an internet connection a person can play until the message you need 250 more coins to continue. If you close the game on the phone you can play another set until the same message shows up and then there is no playing until an internet connection is available. play is available for approximately an hour or almost 10,000 points. Having downloaded it I found that some of the ads are virtually impossible to exit from to get back to the game because they’ve made the buttons so small that you can’t tap on them. ✓ MehIt’s good for mindless fun. A little annoying that they charge for only a 30-day reprieve from ads. If you’ve paid that should be that. It’s also annoying that you can do things like flip the blocks, but you can’t pick which way. I was going to flip them three times to rotate the ones I had so that I could play it the way I wanted to, in order to clear a row. ✓ Update ProblemSince the last update for this app, I have been unable to access it. At first the app crashed about every 15 seconds. Then is started crashing more frequently. I reached out to support, and I could not write a full sentence before crashing. It took 7 tries to enter one sentence. Now the app opens and crashes before a screen ever opens. I rate a 2 because someone from support tried to help, but since communication is no longer possible, I am blocked from Blockscapes which was one of my favorite apps. I use an iPad Air to access, and I have done all updates for it. I hope your team can correct this issue..Version: 1.11.0

✓ My new favourite gameI have seen this pop up constantly during another game ad and I have been wanting to download for a while now. SOOOO glad I did. I am hooked. This is my new favourite game!! I’m in love with it. Makes me think and doesn’t frustrate me like other games. Started off being uninterrupted with no ads between games, then an occasional one, to not being able to go to the next game without an ad. ✓ Sick of dishonest appsI would really like this app if it came with instructions. I mean it’s obvious what u need to do but sometimes I only get a few moves other times I keep going. I see that if I keep clearing rows with every move I get more moves. But sometimes I clearing rows and Only get a few moves. So instructions on why only a few moves. Can’t find anything on internet to explain. Next way too many ads I may not last much longer without instructions and a ton of ads so what I’ve found after playing enough when they give u the blocks they already know u can’t win with the blocks they give u. So sometimes u pay 6-7 moves they end it u have to watch the never ending ads I guess they figure players to stupid to realize. I have a college degree and that’s not the Case here. ✓ Not as Fun as it WasMy brain totally loves this game. When I first downloaded it a few months back, I was able to beat my original high score (2400) by a few points every 5th game or so. Now I am lucky to hit 1000 every 10th game or so. From what I understand the shapes are chosen at random and if I were the developers I would take a look at the randomness algorithm. I'm a fairy intelligent person who is usually good at games like this. What makes me keep playing is that I want to beat my high score, because who doesn't love improving? I've tried really analyzing every move and trying to strategically place shapes that leave room for the large pieces. Nothing I do matters when the game gives me back to back nine by nine squares and a huge L piece 10 moves in. I'm not saying I will abandon the game totally but I do get frustrated and often left scratching my head about the world leader right now who has a high score of over 100,000..Version: 1.10.0
