Bloom: CBT Therapy & Journal for Negative User Reviews

Great idea too many technical issuesI’ve been using Bloom off and on for a few months and it’s been a good introduction to CBT. I think I’m going to soon look for another resource though, for two reasons: one, the app is very glitchy; two, the categories are inflexible and hard to adapt. Unfortunately, reason number one has just gotten worse. Just today I’ve had to reinstall the app because it wouldn’t open. Even after reinstalling the app crashed once and also had a glitch where I couldn’t scroll down to see all the categories. I’m not even through with the session so I imagine the session will also be interrupted by the usual choppy audio and skipping of sections (when the video section goes into a writing section it often just skips forward not allowing you to write anything). It’s interesting that they would test out such underdeveloped and unreliable software on people seeking emotional help. I try to enjoy the irony of this in order to get through, but the joke is wearing thin. And... it just froze several more times and skipped another writing section. I’m gonna look for another resource..Version: 1.30.2

Great potentialI honestly love the concept of this app, I enjoy the sessions and how you can pick and choose what to focus on each day. I also find the daily check ins useful. However at this rate I think I will be cancelling before my trial is up! The app doesn’t save any of my details and previous check ins and every time I log in it just stays on the log in screen. There is no button with options on like home/log out ect it’s just 2 screens one with your check ins and one with the sessions on. There should be a page that tracks your progress/check ins and what sessions you have completed. Maybe my app just isn’t working but it’s really frustrating because I want to love it!.Version: 1.35.2

False trial periodDon’t get tricked into the 5 day trial! They charge you straight away even if you cancel on the second day. I can’t find anyone to discuss this with or to report this to.Version: 1.27.2

Wish I could get my money backI used this app for the trial week and loved it so much that I paid for the annual subscription. Unfortunately since the new update I haven’t been able to use it and I have not heard anything from the developers about whether they’ll be fixing this issue. It’s very disappointing as I felt like this app was just what I needed....Version: 1.26.2

SUBSCRIPTIONI didn’t subscribe for the year subscription after the free trial I wanted monthly only so I can cancel anytime. The app didn’t work for me & I’m happy to pay for the month i’ve had it but NOT a whole year. Please get back to me ASAP!!!.Version: 1.35.3

Good but not greatI found this app helpful and I like the style of it up to a point, but there’s some really annoying things about it that drove me insane. Firstly the bugs, which I understand they are aware of and working on. Videos stopped mid stream ALL THE TIME and then you had to lose that session. I found the session titles misleading. I thought I was going into a session about daily frustrations and then the guy would simply talk about work issues for 12 minutes. I don’t work. Lots of stuff about relationships too - I don’t have a relationship right now. A lot of this stuff felt completely irrelevant. I personalised my profile but this did not personalise the content - which seems pointless to me. Also you can only choose one icon for how you’re feeling that day. It doesn’t allow you to explore things expansively, but constantly narrows you into expressing only one feeling per day. In general I liked the look, feeling and tone. And I suspect if your troubles are work or relationship related then you might find it very relevant. Unfortunately this app was not for me though. I’d encourage people to try it for the free trial. They reminded me by email on day 5 that my free trial was up in 2 days - which is great of them. Or you can always set a reminder in your phone to avoid that unexpected $100 withdrawal..Version: 1.35.5

Hate the UIWhy did you guys change the entire design? Bring back the old design please everything is so hard to see and the neo futuristic aesthetic is just unsettling.Version: 2.20.0

It could be better…I’ve been using Bloom off and on for almost a year now. Its okay, but could be better. Given that it’s a “self-help” kind of therapy, it can be impersonal; generalized advise for a broad topic rather than any one specific or personal issue. Which is fine for general mental health, but it’s no substitute for a personal and personable therapist. I like that you can create daily routines, however, I think the activities for those routines is a bit lacking. I also would like to be able to rearrange the order in which I do those activities, rather than the app setting the order for me. Overall I think bloom is an okay alternative for general awareness and maintenance of your mental health. It most certainly is no substitute for a licensed and personable therapist or crisis counselor..Version: 1.38.9

Review based on new updateI would have previously rated this app 5 stars. It has been an invaluable support tool for me. My yearly subscription is coming up for renewal but I’m unfortunately thinking of cancelling due to the new update. My daily habits have gone. Well they’re still there, but not the ones you select for yourself. You have to scroll through all of them now and there’s no real way of keeping track of which ones you are using. The AI thing has stopped working as well the last few days. It won’t generate my daily advice. So it’s kind of becoming a bit of useless app to be honest. Which is a real shame as I used to tell everyone about how good it was..Version: 2.19.0

Good, but just got worse :(This is a good app, and is definitely helpful if you use it enough. I’m really not a fan of the changes to the UI in the latest update though. It’s so so bright to my eyes as someone who uses dark mode as much as possible. It makes me not want to use it because it’s so hard on my eyes. The app used to look great so o don’t know why that made this decision. I hope they add either a dark mode or a classic colour mode (unless there’s one already that I just missed. I also find it’s a bit laggy since the update. Improved somewhat with a bit of time, but it’s not as nice to use anymore..Version: 2.19.0

Too many prompts and way too politicalI enjoyed the app at first, but a bit turned off by the constant “rate this experience” at the end of each activity. I understand that the prompts to give reflection/thoughts are intended to help, but this was excessive for my taste. I also mostly disliked the daily quotes, namely because the narrator repeats the quotes more than twice and the message I received felt more like propaganda than genuine, unbiased help. After the first politically driven quote, I took that as a red flag. After the next few sessions, I came across yet another cryptic, yet obviously one sided quote that just wasn’t necessary or relevant to mental health needs. My political views are no one’s business and to assume what mine, or anyone else’s views are is presumptuous and frankly just intrusive. I’m neutral to everyone’s beliefs, but when I am spoon fed one side over the other, it feels more manipulative than helpful. Overall, I don’t think this is the app for me but hope that it can helpful for others. It’s a shame I paid $50 for the annual subscription only to discover after the 3 day trial period that this app is just not for me..Version: 2.1.0

Very good, but expensiveContent is expansive and addresses basically every adversity you could experience; in isolation - yes, the product is worth the price - but when so many things are now subscription based, multiple subscriptions add up too quickly. In order to justify its use it would have to be the ONE app subscription a person chooses; limiting additional exploration of potentially beneficial services. If you consider the number of users, you can easily calculate the monthly earning..Version: 1.57.2

App is ok, support sucksI bought the app in March. I haven’t been able to access my account from my iPhone at all, only from my iPad. I’ve written to support multiple times, apparently they can’t fix the issue because they’ve just stopped responding. I haven’t heard from them in over a month despite multiple follow ups..Version: 2.15.0

Good conceptLike the concept of the app. The background music is creepy. Examples used are sometimes too specific and not generic enough. Some features I do find valuable, such as journaling every day..Version: 1.32.1

DisappointedI bought the premium app and today is day 19. For the last 7 days “calm anxiety”, “ Enjoy your body” and “self-care” sessions keep repeating! Nothing new and nothing changed! Just one minute session for each and all the same during last 7 days. I even removed and reinstalled it in case if that’s a bug but still the same! So disappointed!.Version: 1.51.0

Annoying prompt asking for feedback after very sessionCan you please stop asking for feedback on the app after every session. After 20 sessions it would be fine but every session is very much a nag. Great app but this part feels poorly executed..Version: 1.57.2

So buggy!I started out really liking this app. But about three months in, in August 2022, the “Daily Check In” which lets you rate and describe a snapshot of your mood went totally off the rails. I’d select a word or phrase to describe my mood and the app would show me I’d selected something completely different! Self checking your mood state is CBT 101. To have that very simple part of your app tank before your customer has gone any deeper is really self defeating. I’ve lost confidence after waiting a month for them to fix bugs I reported, bugs they admitted were well known. Sad..Version: 2.2.1

What happened? This was a fantastic app that now has far too many bugs. It defeats the purpose of using it for mental health when all it seems to do now is cause aggravation. It’s not appropriate to charge $100 for an app where you can’t download the programs offline (like other apps), and videos just won’t load or play when you want to use it. Please fix it or allow refunds..Version: 2.5.0

In app purchases. DO NOT WRITE IN THE JOURNAL.You can barely do anything without spending money. I don’t understand why someone has to pay for help when the advertisement is saying it’s free. This isn’t why I’m writing a review, though. I entered a description when submitting my mood, and I wrote a lot of meaningful things that I want to keep and reread. I went to copy paste it and it wouldn’t let me. I then tried to scroll down just read what I wrote and it wouldn’t let me. It would only let me scroll as far as my finger could go from the bottom, to the top of the screen. Now it won’t let me see what I just vented about. Like, I can’t even scroll to see the rest? Why is that a setting? Now I’ve lost a journal entry essentially, because I can’t see half of what I wrote. Please let me copy paste things in this app. Or let me scroll the way down on a description to a mood submission. That feels like the bare minimum..Version: 1.47.1

Don’t ask for help3 or 4 emails sent after I was sent an email by someone with no last name: Leon (him/her) was how it was signed, unprofessional. Layout of app changed and left me lost but don’t ask questions they don’t reply to emails. Got refund moving on, they don’t care about you just want your money..Version: 1.41.1

Be careful!Got the app a few days ago and literally had it for a few minutes on my phone, deleted the app and unsubscribed to emails but didn’t realize to even enter into the app they lock you into a subscription that you don’t get charged until a week later. A $100 fee just came out of my account and due to COVID this is financially devastating to me right now. I don’t know if I can get a refund, but I really hate how this app works. I will be contacting customer service....Version: 1.26.2

Hate the updateI have used this app for some time. It was well set-out and has been helping me navigate my moods and think things through. I do not like the latest update however. It has taken away being able to set daily habits in our day agenda list. Now all the habits I set myself - you have to scroll through to find. I also don’t like that they’ve added in the AI therapy into our daily agenda. I want to choose and list all the habits I want to follow. Also the logging of daily emotion now feels very cold and non-interactive, just choosing emoticons. Hate it. Please return the previous functions. This update feels like a step back. It was a warm, inviting place before. Now it feels just like I’m pushing buttons..Version: 2.13.0

Not optimised for smaller phonesI desperately want to use this app but so much basic functionality doesn’t work on my iPhone SE. I can’t even login because the password can’t be entered. Gutted because what I have used I’ve found useful and I would actually buy a subscription..Version: 1.27.2

Wasn’t able to select the monthly option and got charged an annual fee. While I was grateful for the trial, I didn’t get a chance to utilize it to see if I really liked the app and by the time I started familiarizing myself with it, I got a hefty charge for something I am probably not going to use everyday. In the midst of a pandemic, having a cost such as this is crushing to the pocketbook and certainly not the best app for someone who has moderate to severe mental heath issues..Version: 1.26.8

Trying to con you out of your moneyDon’t bother downloading this app, they’re just trying to take your money. When you download, you can do a 7 day free trial, after which it will take a year’s subscription (almost AUD $100) out of your account, and these subscriptions are difficult for some to figure out how to cancel, and others understandably forget to do so. The worst part is that they are preying on people who are suffering with mental health issues and taking advantage of people who want to maintain their mental health. You should be ashamed of yourselves as a company, truly a perfect example of crooked capitalism. To anybody struggling with mental health who may read this, please keep going. As someone who has done so themselves, I know you will get through this. If you cannot access a mental health professional, there are online resources that can help that aren’t trying to con you out of your money like this one. Talk to the people in your life, get support from others. And another screw you to the people behind this app..Version: 1.19.3

Can’t use the appThe app doesn’t render properly on my iPhone 13. The keyboard covers most of the screen. On signing up the submit button was underneath the Facebook and Apple login buttons. I’m entering my evening journal and my typing is going nowhere. This app has a large promise, but poor performance. As much as I would like to keep it, it’s useless when half the screen is covered..Version: 1.41.1

Charged without notificationWhen I downloaded the app the information given said I would receive due warning before my credit card would be debited for a subscription. Kept checking emails. NO WARNING email came just the invoice for paid amount. If I need to contact the developer in the App Store I am taken to a Facebook page and asked to log in. DON’T HAVE A FACEBOOK ACCOUNT. I would appreciate someone from the app contacting me about this. I didn’t find the app very helpful and DID NOT WANT TO PROCEED WITH PAYMENT GOT A SUBSCRIPTION..Version: 1.40.2

False advertisingBuggy and the features listed on the App Store page are not yet included in the app. Disappointed..Version: 1.49.0

Riddled with bugs on iPadHow the developers have managed to ruin an app is beyond me. The content with the real people is great but on the iPad several of the ‘daily’ quotes or exercises are now permanently stuck which is ruining the app for me (so much for always assume the best!). I reported this early May and now again 3 weeks later. It’s developed a problem with repeating the daily quote which was different up until a few days ago. This is on top of being stuck on Day 1 of the calming exercise. Support is just ‘oh widespread issue, we know about’. If they’re prioritising this in an Agile way and delivering in sprints then this should have been sorted within a 2 week period. 4 weeks at most. Sort it out guys! And if you can’t sort it out start extending membership for those of us who have paid or refunding money. There’s plenty of rivals out there..Version: 1.53.0

All not workingI bought a years’s subscription and the app worked for a bit and then stopped about 3 weeks ago. The developer knows about it but has done nothing to fix it. Very annoying!.Version: 1.47.1

Rating based on 30 mins of use onlySo far I’m impressed and hopeful at the potential of the app. Hard to give a thorough review with so little use so I’m just using this review to point out a bug that I’ve experienced. The first video of the negative self talk program was great. But when I did the second video in the same day, it did not open the writing page when the video prompted it - it just went onto a white screen for a second and carried on. Don’t if it’s because I played a second video in one day, but it seems to be an error.Version: 1.19.3

No way to cancel free trial in appI downloaded this on a whim and realized quickly the format isn’t a good fit for me. I cannot believe no where on the app or website is a place to edit your subscription information. How can you promote a free trial and explicit rules to cancel before it is up to not be charged but then not offer a way to cancel it? I had wrongly assumed this would be the case. The website has a contact us button that links the a privacy policy and is not functioning. There is no where else that an email or phone number is offered to get in touch. My only choice was to respond back to the automated welcome email and ask for help but I doubt that will get a response. I feel like the app is trying to be too minimalist and design focused that it lacks basic functionality like contact or account information. Do not download this if you aren’t sure about it or don’t have the money for the yearly subscription because chances are I’m going to need to dispute this with my credit card..Version: 1.26.3

SO much potential… BUTI’ve had this app for two days. I honestly would pay 2x-3x if it didn’t glitch. When recording your daily check-in, you have choices to click on but it records other things you didn’t click. This just doesn’t work for a historical journal. Then if you try to go back and edit, it only allows to edit what you typed in your lessons and not the journal portion (which is glitchy). I’ve stopped my subscription because I think it would just be frustrating. It’s too bad because this has SO much potential and exactly what I’m looking for in regards to daily check-ins and mini focused lessons. Please, please invest in fixing the glitches and I’ll be back..Version: 1.38.9

Takes money before free trial is upDo NOT subscribe to this app if you're not 100% sure about using it. I wanted to try out its free trial, under the impression that it was free for under a week and then would charge you for a year. I tried the app and realised it wasn't for me. I unsubscribed within a day or less, and though that meant no money would be taken out of my account. Unfortunately there must have been some info I missed about the subscription model. Even though I unsubscribed and have not used it since the 1st day I had it, it automatically registered me to one year, and took nearly £60 out of my account. Am now logging a refund request with Apple but this is making me really wary about any app that promises a free trial, as it seems like they just subscribe you anyway. (I am also certain that I did unsubscribe, as both the app and my Apple subscriptions page say that it is an active account but that it ends in 2022, and gives the option of resubscribing.).Version: 1.40.7

Good but needs workI really do love this app it’s the only form of CBT I’ve been able to stick to. However just a couple of annoying things -If you use the evening journal you can’t read back the entries. Secondly any information on relationships is put forward by the app within the context of a partner. Relationship difficulties can come in the form of friendships and family so it would be useful to have a mix of this. Also I’ve contacted the Support twice and no one has come back to me it’s been over 10 days..Version: 1.42.0

ChargedI will happily write a better review as I think the app is quite good but being charged a year without realising it is not ok and then just being referred to apple. Not really good form. I would appreciate a refund as charging people over $100 is not really good enough without clearly letting them opt in. Very sneaky..Version: 1.35.5

It’s good so far…I rated this three stars for now because I just started using this, I feel like it’s a good middle ground between what I like so far and what I don’t. I will be updating my review once my free trial ends and expand further on my thoughts on this app. I’m using this tool for some anxiety to get some tools for “In the moment.” With a busy schedule this seems like it will work to fit in my schedule without having to run to an office for some, mental maintenance. It’s smooth so far, the guide I chose her voice is soothing. It includes helpful options for any time to help your mindset and bring you into a more mindful state. The journaling is helpful to have it with you at all times to jot feelings, thoughts at any moment. Even has sleep meditation for those like myself who have difficulty sleeping. The only thing so far in the short time I’ve used it that kind of upsets me is that there is no family sharing. It really is a let down that a health app isn’t inclusive to your family if you pay for all their devices already. For the yearly price I’m not sure it is worth it if I can’t share it with my teens. I’ll see if it’s worth it for the individual price after my free trial is up or if I will find something else similar that allows family sharing like most health apps. I’ll update this with more of a review after..Version: 2.2.1

Update sucksThe new update sucks..Version: 1.43.0

Great content - App is awfulI have been using Bloom for about 18 months and I have to say that the content is great. However what really let’s it down is the App itself - whoever is responsible to releasing App updates should think about another career. Far too often new versions are released that don’t work properly, are glitchy or you simply can’t access what you want ie you do ‘The Morning Show’ series of 24 and everyday you get the same video. The latest version of the App looks very nice, but it is far too over complicated and it is a step backwards in terms of functionality. If it doesn’t improve over the next 6 months I might not renew my subscription..Version: 2.20.0

Lacks kid optionsI’m a mom and love my kids with all my heart but they have their struggles that are stressful to help them navigate! Yet, in the options for mood check-in there are no options for that. If my son has been having meltdown daily all week, it will make me feel stressed and tired and I’d like to input it as such instead of generally inputting it as something random or leaving it blank. My mood check in options for work and home are relatively wide yet there are zero kid related options, even if i mentioned having kids in my profile..Version: 1.54.0

Free version sucks + collects too much dataUnless you want to pay $20/month or $80/year for some guided meditations, I’d steer clear of this app. I don’t find the generic meditations helpful, and while it looks like there are a lot of more tailored meditations, when you click on one to do it, the subscribe/sell screen comes up—so activities in the app aren’t clearly labeled to warn what’s locked and what isn’t. Not to mention this app accesses personally identifying info for totally unclear reasons. I’m deleting it now..Version: 1.53.0

Do not buyNot only did this app not show up in my subscriptions to cancel, when I tried to contact them there was no response. Do not buy! No credibly!.Version: 1.41.1

Content is great, tech support sucksI regularly use the content and feel it is helping me so that’s good - three stars for that. However, don’t expect a reply when emailing their support department. I emailed Dec 17 and to date have never received a reply (not in my junk folders either). I’ve tried following up on that email and submitted a different request thinking the first one got ‘lost’ - still no reply. I had originally chalked up lack of response to the holidays but we’re well past the holidays and still nothing. I’m not sure how anyone would get anything resolved if the only means of communication sends your message into a black hole. It’s very frustrating..Version: 1.41.1

Too many bugsWhen it asks me “I also deal with” it will always select extra things that I didn’t click on, and them show me in the summary something I don’t struggle with and didn’t select, how is that supposed to make me feel better. If I go back and unselect it, something else will additionally be selected. This makes me more unsettled than before I went on the app to calm myself. There’s more bugs like that. If the interface wasn’t so flawed and full of bugs I might like the app. But this is just making me angry.Version: 1.57.1

I want to use this app your lifetime payment is overboard.I’m new to the app and want to use for self care, and take control of my mental health. Unlike people who can’t take care of themselves it may be tough doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road for them, and as for myself I want to take control of my mental health, depression, and take care of my self, especially during these hard times in the middle of the pandemic. I want to get access to using this app and I have to pay unfortunately. What’s up with developers making people pay monthly or yearly? No offense, could you make the app one time payment instead of different payment options? No one is going to buy $399 app when it’s purpose to use for mental health, self care, and taking control of your mental illness in healthy ways. The price is ridiculous. At least make the in app purchase for this app a one time payment than monthly, yearly payment. Make it $25 or $30. Wouldn’t it be fair if it’s not overpriced and something people can afford? People wants to use mental health apps for self care, their mental health, and their overall well being not pay a lot of money. I want to get lifetime access and don’t want to pay yearly or monthly. Seriously…think of the real purpose for people using the app. Don’t make it overly expensive and make it affordable as I mention $25 or $30. You can do better than having to pay $399..Version: 1.40.0

Pay attention to the bad reviews on hereIf you are struggling, if you have been for a while, if you are searching for anyway to feel better, do not use this app. I didn’t pay attention to the bad reviews on here because I was desperate and it seemed like such a lifeline. It isn’t. Maybe it’s well researched, maybe it’s even well meant, but it doesn’t work, technically, no aspect of it works. It glitches, it bugs. I emailed trying to get help from the support team to try and fix it. Maybe it was my phone. But I received nothing. I didn’t even get an acknowledgment reply. Nothing. Do not waste your hopes, your whittling energy and desire to help yourself, on this..Version: 1.38.9

Useless App - Do Not Recommend!I started using this app with an open mind and hopeful for some mental health help. It started off ok, but a few months ago my lifelong learning lesson got stuck on “the amazing amygdala”. Every. Single. Day. For months! I contacted Bloom support and was assured this bug was being worked on, but here we are and it’s still stuck. Today I got an email saying it was fixed, so I removed and reinstalled the app, going through all the initial questions and after all that - it still was stuck. Maddening! I’m completely unsatisfied with the “support” given (or rather lack thereof), and the fact that they can’t make this app work properly has forced me to remove the app for good and look elsewhere for a CBT app that actually works. Don’t waste your time and DO NOT pay for this inferior app. Two thumbs DOWN..Version: 1.49.0

Update missed the markI used to love bloom but the new update is way too bright. I would use bloom before bed but now it’s bright white with no dark mode. I much preferred the old purple. They also changed all the images over to strange, creepy AI images. It was easier to navigate before but now it’s hard to find things. I also used to have my daily routine setup with 5 things I would check off each day. Now i can’t do that anymore. I miss the old version!! I use it about 10% of the time I used to since the update. Such a shame as good content..Version: 2.20.0

Charged me $71 for FREE 7-day trialI’m sure the app’s great but unfortunately I’ve had to cancel, report and request a refund after they charged me $71 the very next day after subscribing to the trial period. Seems to be a recurring issue for them, according to the other reviews..Version: 2.16.0

App still crashes every time I hit “entries”I rated this 5 stars before because it’s a great app. Love the sessions, but it’s been like 6 months since I haven’t been able to maximize the app because of the bugs. They keep releasing updates but none addressed the glitch. I’m going to have to unsubscribe.Version: 1.49.0

Not a free appAlthough free to download, the app hides the option to skip signing up for a trial (after 7 days on which iTunes will start charging you). The option to skip is below the bottom of the page so you can see it if you hold the screen a drag it further down but there is no way to click on it. Wouldn’t expect such a deceptive trick from an app supposed to be designed as a support tool.Version: 1.19.3

Glitch erased all my dataI paid for an annual membership and was attempting to make improvements in my mental health. Then the app erased all my data and streaks and when I contacted customer service, they said it had happened to lots of people. That was 12 days ago. Not worth the money. Free apps would keep my data better..Version: 2.5.0

A good startThis is a great idea. For the most part I am really enjoying it. Positive encouragement with out the guilt when I forget my appointment. I haven’t wasted anyones time. I’m not a fan of either “guide” but that’s a personal preference. The pen implementation for iPad could be better. However the giant glaring problem for me is the cross device sharing or lack of it. Trapped in a corner at work for what will be hours I pull out my phone to pick up where I left off on my iPad and - nothing. The app doesn’t share across icloud- it’s not even an option..Version: 1.42.0

UnhelpfulThis app is limited, I really hated the guy talking he came of as condescending and kinda douchey.Version: 1.26.8

Haven’t even gotten to through signup!Heard some good feedback on the app so decided to download it. Can’t get past the third step of sign up! After selecting a person, there is no action button for next or any response that my selection has worked. I can change my response but no action is done still. How am I suppose to rate the app when I can’t even sign up to use it first ??.Version: 1.35.5

Horrible privacy practicesBloom collects all your data (including all your personal mental health reflections) and reserves the right to on-sell it to third parties. Their privacy policy does not even say it will be anonymised. Just look at the privacy report card in the App Store. This is about as far from a confidential therapist relationship as you can get. You are paying for a service that is taking your most personal information and re-using it without your control. Appalling..Version: 1.38.6

Yet another monthly subscriptionI was originally irritated that this was just another monthly subscription in a sea of monthly subscription plans out there, but decided to try it out to see if it would work for me. This app is not for adults. I am a middle aged, married parent who struggles with loneliness and post-traumatic stress. All of the therapy sessions are targeted towards a younger audience with either rocky relationships, or struggling with being single. I haven’t been single in almost 20 years, and my marriage is pretty rock solid, so all of the relationship sessions were irrelevant to my life situation. There’s a tab for customization, but I didn’t see any changes. Once I put in that I was married and steady in my relationship, I was even offered a session on how to “slow down my relationship.” I wish this catered to different age groups and life stages, but it’s just not for me or my life, which was a huge bummer, because in person therapy is basically impossible to find right now.Version: 1.40.4

It’s only helpful if you pay for a yearly subscriptionThe features you get for free are limited at best. Meaning you get asked how you’re feeling and why. Anything beneficial will cost you. You can learn effective CBT for free!.Version: 1.19.3

No ability to see past entriesUPDATE: I received a response, however nothing has changed. I still don’t see any entries besides check-ins. Also, I’m stuck on repeat for the second time since I started. The Morning Show part has been the exact same one for days now. It’s supposed to be a different one daily. I keep saying this in feedback after the session, which apparently, no on actually reads. Once, it was the same one for a week. So instead of calming me or motivating me for the day, I’m aggravated and don’t want to bother with this. Neither of these issues are hard to fix, so you must not care. Other than check-ins, you’re asked to do a daily intention and answer other self-reflecting questions. All of that is great but no way to go back and reflect on any of it. I want to see what I’ve written. I have to screenshot any answers or intentions and since I didn’t know I had to do this at first, I’ve lost the first few days. I want to see if I’ve done my intentions and how far I’ve come. I’ve reached out to support and on the second attempt, I was told it’s being “worked on”. Now eta of when resolved given. I’ve now asked twice for a timeframe because if this is not fixed soon, I would like a refund. Too bad, because there is potential here. I can’t keep taking screenshots of every answer. Disappointed..Version: 1.43.0

More availability pleaseI like this app but i wish it would’ve been made available to all MacBooks. i have the 2020 macbook just before the one released with the m1 chip and am so annoyed i can’t get this on my MacBook as well. three stars..Version: 1.38.8

So much for being a tool to helpAre used to love Bloom when you could actually say what you need to say and there would be some kind of guidance for you. Know if your entries aren’t considered “safe“ you can’t go any further in your journal entry. What good is that to anybody that needs to get things off their chest I need help, but this app no longer gives it to me because it determines, my language as some thing that needs to be relayed to the crisis center. No, I need an app that helps me to find hope and how to move on but with this new update to this text, analyzation or whatever you call it. It’s literally ruined my ability to use this app as a tool. Let me decide if I need to call the crisis line and let me do my entries instead of cutting it off and not letting me go forward with some thing that usually helps me..Version: 2.19.0

Fantastic if it worksI paid a full annual subscription following the one week trial. The daily content is amazing and the sessions are well done shot and easy. So the idea to use it daily you get new short sessions every day based on your profile selected. BUT after using it 4 weeks the session videos are same every day!? I contacted the support and they said they had a bug in the system, a few weeks later I contacted them again, but still nothing changed, I still got an email claiming they’re still working on it, one month later the issue still not resolved, if it would work it will be an amazing app because the content is really good, so unless they don’t have anymore content to support a few weeks sessions, or it’s unfixable. Would have been great if it worked! I’ll never pay annually anymore!!.Version: 1.52.0
