Good app, but lots of improvements to makeHard to add notes - have to click on perfectly on the very first character space Should really open keyboard as soon as you click add notes - why do I need to click again to get the cursor/keyboard? But jumpy / unclear where you are when clicking add notes/checklists etc Can’t find easy way to remove ‘add manually’ entries that have been sent via email What does change colour do? Can’t see any impact? Would be good to have background colours so it’s easy to separate different locations/stages of the holiday Pasting into notes - even when plain text (eg pasted into url bar in browser and copied from there) still brings styling - unnecessary. Especially considering you can’t even format yourself - eg no ability to add links in notes Not intuitive to edit hotel / place names that have been imported Need a day view - otherwise it’s just so busy Also a calendar layout rather than just a list.Version: 2.84

Could be so much betterThere’s a lot to like about this app but I have given up on it as it’s so frustrating to use. The main trip view contains a lot of information and entry boxes that makes the whole thing cluttered and confusing. The developer seems to know this as there’s a view only mode in a browser but that takes out key information, namely the journey time between destinations. Also, you can print the trip from the browser the printed version includes some of the excess stuff from the display. Then there’s the difficulty seeing the trip on a map as the map gets only a small slice of the screen. You can pull down the information part of the screen but then the dates disappear and routes on the map are shown by date. Finally, this is a very expense app but the developer hasn’t localised it so it shows, for example, the US date format. There’s a comment in the FAQs that half the users are in the US so the app is focused on them - that’s a choice, but if the developer can’t be bothered to localise it they shouldn’t offer it. The pricing information is the App Store is wrong too, with multiple, different prices. All in all, great potential but a disappointment in reality..Version: 2.43

Charged without noticeCharged me for a year, although I picked a monthly subscription. Don’t fall for this one..Version: 2.93

Too American - Doesn’t work for UKTrying to add the first stop at a friends house in the U.K. The interface won’t allow me to choose a place on a map - have to choose an address - and it only goes to a street in Mongolia or Las Vegas which is ridiculous - the search they’ve implemented isn’t the one of Google maps and is highly biased to the USA. Currency is in USD also - there are other countries and currencies…. In fact I’d really like to keep track of spending in multiple countries and currencies..Version: 2.66

Annual chargeLooks like it has some good things in it but it only gives you a week free so not long enougj to see if you like it and work it out as never quite as easy to use as they say. Also can’t pay monthly only annual so unfortunately wont be using it as not sure if its for me yet. Would have done a monthly payment.Version: 2.66

They are on the right track…At first, I thought this app was exactly what I was looking for. I’m used to creating my own travel itineraries and I’m very picky. Right off the bat, there was a place to document my accommodations. But it isn’t compatible with Airbnb reservations and you cannot put in anything but a hotel/business name. If you put in the name of the your stay or the home address, it will not accept it. So I went straight to the itinerary tab and will most likely only use this section. I really like how you can rearrange “events” without deleting and re adding. I also like being able to add notes under different locations. I don’t like all of the little blurbs and descriptions that appear below my locations. If I’m adding it to my trip, I already know what it is. This just looks messy. I’d also like a way to finalize the itinerary or download it. On the app it’s not readable or clean. There are buttons everywhere and empty text boxes and all those extras. I just want a straight forward timeline that’s easy to reference when we are on the go. Lastly, if you don’t specifically put an event to return to your hotel every single night, the next day will tell you that you are so and so hours away from that days events. It seems like the developers are focused on the wrong features here, don’t overcrowd the interface, keep it simple and efficient..Version: 2.69

Will be charged for subscription due to bugTried to cancel - app was showing I was not subscribed. Subscription also not showing in my Apple subscriptions. Then money came out and I could only cancel after this. Contacted “support” and wasn’t given much help at all, told to contact Apple and wanderlog wouldn’t refund me. Not happy at all, seems suspicious. Free trial really means pay for your first month so beware..Version: 2.75

No free versionOn the App Store you say, “Wanderlog is a free travel app”, with in app purchases. Instead, it’s a free trial with no functionality without payment after the short trial period is over. Very misleading, I will not download any other apps from your company (Travelchime Inc.)..Version: 2.74

Doesn't work! Can't add 'Places'This looks such a promising app but it simply doesn't work! I created an account, added a trip title for a roadtrip I'm planning, added my travel dates to the itinerary, added the destination location for the first day on the itinerary and that's it - I can't add any more locations to the other days in my itinerary. I've tried it on iPhone and iPad and same issue. The first 'Place' I added came up with options as I was typing in the box, from which I chose the place I wanted. None of the subsequent 'Place' boxes bring up the different locations for me to choose from. I've tried loads of locations to check it wasn't an odd place I was trying. If this worked then I'd have probably paid for the Pro version. Any help the devs can offer to fix this and I'll happily update this review and try the app again..Version: 2.51

Pro features are anualGoing on a trip for week in a month. Willing to pay for the pro features but don’t need to buy it for a full year..Version: 2.75

I didn’t order this appI remember looking at this app but not ordering it as it wasn’t what I needed and just found out I paid 50 for it..Version: 2.75

Not user friendlyWanted to find an app that was more aesthetic than TripIt but I log in and find it doesn’t import any of my hotel reservations from gmail and on top of that, there’s no option to input a tour? Not sure how you can justify charging $65/year and doesn’t even do the basics. Do better.Version: 2.90

Right idea… not quite there yetI wanted so badly to love this app. The interface is easy on the eyes and includes travel budgeting (hard to find this + trip planning), but I found some little things that make my trip planning feel disjointed. First, I tried to add a location (a landmark) as one of our stops and the app found it, but it wouldn’t let me input a time. I had to enter an address (without the landmark name that was pictureless) so that I could enter a time. No big deal, though. Then I went to enter a task we had to do before we checked into the Airbnb/hotel (dropping off my pup @ the boarder). I was hoping that it would flow chronologically but for some reason the check in is pinned to the top. I also don’t have the option to enter the time for check in. I know I’m pretty particular; but these are basic needs for me and my family that will barely pay attention if I enter a note. I’m just unwilling to find yet another thing wrong with it all. I’m sure it’ll get better with some tweaks!.Version: 2.92

MisleadingThe app itself is good but it was advertised as a monthly subscription. I figured I would subscribe for a few months while I am travelling. Turns out they charge you for an entire year automatically. Not monthly as advertised..Version: 2.72

Intrusive adverts, dodgy data collectionI want to send a travel map to a friend. The standard app couldn’t make the map but it did require an account sign in (i.e. it is selling your details, location and contact list) and then bombarded me with unwanted adverts. To make a map I would have to buy the pro version. I suppose some people might find it vaguely useful. I didn’t..Version: 2.81

Has potential but really behind competitorsApp works well and the interface is really intuitive. Regrettably, the backend is far behind competitors like TripIt. While the app does parse through my gmail, it skipped pretty much every appointment, restaurant reservations and the likes. The only 2 thing that it grabbed was my flight tickets and my car rental. Not only do I manually have to create the trips, I also have to manually attach my events and documents to the trip. This is painfully time consuming and quite frankly frustrating when pretty much all the other apps do this automatically. This app has potential, but it’s not there yet..Version: 2.90

Italy is not in TexasI’m trying out trip planning apps and quite like this one. The main thing that might make Wanderlog unsuitable is that I can’t seem to add simple places like Iceland or Italy. It keeps offering me the towns in the US that have these names rather than the actual countries. And seems to be no way to just enter whatever you like rather than having to pick it from the limited search results?.Version: 2.17

One year membership onlyNo worthwhile free version and I don’t need a one year subscription..Version: 2.83

Would be great…if it actually workedGreat ideas but unsure why it seems so hard to make this in practice. When you type an address for example it will load for ages but then do nothing with no explanation for why this might be. Links do not work and you cannot add things to your itinerary…even this seems like too much for the app to handle. Again, great idea but not sure the point of this when it just doesn’t work at all. So frustrating..Version: 2.90
