✓ Excellent fun except . . .I love the Shadow Fight series, and Arena is a good installment. I find it much fun to play, win or lose, up until you face someone with Marcus in their deck. Remember the Marcus boss fight from Shadow Fight 3? Ya, well, he’s just as much if not more ,of a pain in the neck to fight. Too many invulnerability moments, long ranged in almost all his attacks (which all too often are very devastating), and glitches constantly in and out of reality after managing to get him to half life. It is near impossible to land a hit on this guy, especially after he starts glitching. To simply put it, he is too OP. All the other characters have perks that you can learn to manage and work around in order to beat them, but Marcus is an absolute joke to fight against unless your opponent is a truly and utterly incompetent player..Version: 0.4.20.2
✓ It could be 5 Stars but…I’m not gonna lie and say I wasn’t disappointed by the fact that with this game I can’t make my own character. I did however wanna give it a shot because I am such a fan of the previous game but there are things tht grinds my gears to no end. Like these ads! How am I paying for a battle pass and other micro transactions and I have to deal with all these ads?!?!?! I just got kicked out of almost beating a campaign mission because I didn’t want to use 100 gems and now because the ad keeps glitching me out the game I have to start over. AND IT KEEPS HAPPENING!!! Also the cheese/spamming for ranked is disgusting!!! Once I get put into a corner there’s almost nothing I can do and I’m at my opponents mercy!!! ✓ This game is good but with balancing and lag issues.I love this game a lot I really do but these games where people lag, balancing issues like jet and the emperor being so annoying to the point where you get in the corner and they can punish you for a spot you can punish them. The people in the game are toxic with user names that are offensive and even to the point I just want to delete this app. I have been playing this game for a while now and I am in arena VIII and going on to 3400 points but the people who just pay for the high levels and cards to get a health and strength damage gets annoying. Other than this I recommend this game to all who want a good but annoying time. Edit 1: moving to two stars this game is getting on my nerves and I can’t stand the characters that are pay to win. ✓ READGame is very fun and highly addictive. Great for those time killer moments. BUT, I would like to have a more interactive feature on the PVP mode to encourage opponents to keep the fight engaged. I get highly frustrated with players who only wait for attacks to be perform so that way they get easy damage by using the same 3 moves for the entirety of the match. Walk back to the wall to just perform the grab move, and keep doing the same thing over and over. At first it was no biggie but after 100 plus matches, it gets really annoying and frustrating. This is not fun, and makes me close the app and not play it at all. How can I level up to the higher ranks when most opponents on only use cheap methods to win the match. ✓ Coins and expensesI’d like to start and say this game series was beautifully made and each shadow fight has increased in quality and now enjoyable it is, I love this game and I love playing it, one small issue which Is the main problem is the coins and upgrading systems, to level up my character Ling it requires 20,000 coins..which I think is ridiculous it used to be 2k which was respectable but it’s getting out of hand, I just want it to be a little cheaper because coins are hard to get in this game for me and for others I’ve spoke to, you get a minimal amount for completing ranked 1v1s or 3v3 matches so please developers if you see this, either lower the upgrade prices or make coins easier to get because it’s really an issue thank you💜.Version: 1.3.10

✓ Really fun gameI really love this game, it’s a great addition to the shadow fight games, the hero’s are all really cool. There are some that are a little overpowered then the overs, but it’s also depending on the skill of the player. I often find myself playing against other players that not only have far superior characters to mine but are much more experienced at the game as well. ✓ Has great potentialGreat game however some of the online players make it unbearable to the point where you may want to smash your nice shiny iPhone 13!!! People simply just camp throughout a whole match walking backwards waiting for an opportunity to attack. Because the mechanics are so slow you are then 9/10 at their mercy! The points system is also flawed I’ve been winning clearly then will get an connection error followed by the “defeat screen” and maybe 50 odd points given away to the loosing party of the fight! Absolutely mind blowingly frustrating!! 😡 Other than that the game is great I have a lot of good characters unlocked and when I face a normal person (not a camper) I usually win! ✓ Lovely but..This game is one of my top favorite mobile games since sf2, brings back nostalgia, although the game is great skills matter even if your opponent is stronger by stats, it’s not too hard to win, mixing up combos and being unpredictable, the main issue is with campers and spammers, spammers is easy to react to and counter but campers are very annoying, not moving and attacking when approaching making it near impossible to attack as even rolling or sidestep makes you vulnerable for them to attack, also the levelling up is very very long, I’ve been level 8 for months, sometimes making me quit as I’m receiving no characters nor could level up my characters as I receive near to nothing in each reward boxes, I wish it could’ve been a bit more faster paced like the previous games, other than that, amazing game, was never disappointed with the series and thank you for creating such a good game!!!.Version: 1.3.1

✓ Good game except…I like this game a lot it’s very good for a mobile pvp fighting game however there needs to be a 50/50 block direction option allowing player block a grab attempt. In order to block grab you must correctly guess if the opponent is using a forward or backwards throw this will vastly reduce “camping” there also needs to be a similar option on “wake up”As it stands right now after being knocked to the ground you will take damage whether you wake up attack or roll to stand up if your opponent uses their fastest low attack which they always do there should be a temporary shield granted to the downed player at the beginning of the wake up attack creating a 50-50 option for both players to either follow up with an immediate attack after knocking their opponent down or bait a wake up attack from the downed opponent resulting in a follow up combo if missed and a 50/50 option for the downed player to anticipate an immediate follow up attack andInterrupt with the shield and wake up or anticipate the wake up bait from their opponent and roll away to stand up.Version: 1.6.0
✓ Event problemGood game however, whenever I play event match against other players, my game begins to glitch and there is always a network problem before the game shuts down and when I reopen the app, the game shows that I was defeated when I didn’t even finish a single match and my coins get wasted however, this doesn’t happen when I play duel mode. The same thing happens in story mode and I decide to watch an ad to resurrect myself and my game shuts down which means that I then I have to use my remaining ten points of energy to replay my previous match. Something that I think would make the game better, is making blocks absorb full damage so if you’re left with low hp, you can turn the fight around. Something else although it wouldn’t make the game necessarily better, it is a wish coming from a long time shadow fight player; that would be making lynx look the way he does in shadow fight 2, because in arena he looks kinda bad, it doesn’t really impress me, he doesn’t look like an assassin, he looks more like a prostitute or something. ✓ Great but new update ruins some things.After the new 1v1 update I was finding it hard to earn coins and cards. Before i could easily get 20 rare cards for a hero in a chest but now I only get 2. Coins are very diffucult to acheive since you need more than before,much,much,much more. I can only find 95 from an epic chest! This is ridiculous considering it takes 10,000 coins to upgrade a character from level 7 to level 8. The players that have played before and now stuck in a position where progression is way too slow. The various moves and attacks are innovative and challenging to counter, and overall makes for engaging and strategic combat. In terms of gameplay I have no complaints, but unfortunately the game has some internet connection issues. ✓ Good game but bad ranked matchesI just played a game of ranked and it was going alright until I came across their yunlin and I lost all three of my characters to yunlins high damage which had a multiplier of 8 at the time. I found this to ridiculous as she all ready has all of her shadow ability’s that range from healing to being able to grab you whenever. And on top of this they were camping as she is a very easy character to camp with. Please do something about this thanks..Version: 1.8.10

✓ It’s better than the 3rdIt has better combat mechanics better graphics new characters and fight styles. But it is practically the same game just with no story mode. It gets old playing the same game like shadow fight. Take Minecraft for example, you take part in new experiences and talk to other people whenever you play Minecraft. But with shadow fight it is just the same thing over and over. If shadow fight offered some sort of communication besides when you are in a match it will definitely bring me back. If you could add a global chat and something similar to clans it would really improve your player count. ✓ I love itI’ve always love the shadow fight games and there is nothing better then finally being able to vs other players, this game for that reason is amazing. But I have three problems with that. The people I verse always seem to either play with full legion character and only ever use uninterruptible attacks, they also only ever use longer ranged characters. I know those two aren’t really fixable, it’s someone’s play style, but my main problem is the match making, it’s not that fair. My biggest example is there’s no one to verse who isn’t an entire league higher then me for some reason, my biggest example is that today I have a match and I’m in green around 2000 rank, and I was just thrown up again someone who was purple rank with about 2160 rank and who was 2 levels higher then me, meaning they had access to more characters, who they conveniently used from long range... ✓ Great game shadow fight arenaJust needs lil more tuning. In the Arena when you get to 3000 it starts to only go up by 1 Per fight & I don’t mind playing to level up but if we are fighting that hard to only get 1 purple cards that’s crazy for doing a lot playing/fighting winning and losing just not get rewarded with some good/special cards are something #imj that’s just one for me and it’s the glitching when you fight some players & they swipe sides. I don’t really care about the sides but when that happens if you win you go up by a lot points or you lose by a lot of points. Have to replay it all over about 3 to 5 times just get to the next level only to get cards you need but not so many for the good cards. But other than that I love the game. ✓ Loading problems. Game is well made.I have been having loading issues. I re downloaded the game after some months, and the loading screen freezes and I can’t play the game. Sometimes it gets to the extract part and freezes around 60-89, it’s very annoying. I tried to re download the game and it’s still not working. I’m not sure what’s going on. Besides my own personal issue, the game is solid. It’s fun and having an online version is nice. Sf2 and 3 didn’t have that. I have finished both of them and I can’t say sf4 can compete so far, but it’s enjoyable. Helpful advice for the game is don’t focus on rarity of a character, just focus on how you play with that character and if your having fun! Although it IS pay to win. Sf2 and 3 are not. To win you gotta get higher character rarities, if you don’t you’ll loose, especially when you have common characters you can’t win. That’s the one downfall of this game. And for free the higher characters are almost impossible to get. It’s very sad and as a sf fan for years I expected different for 4 but it was slightly disappointing. If you haven’t finished 2 and 3 this game won’t bother you, id recommend if so. Extremely pay to win. To make it better, make it more obtainable, but if that’s the only way you make money cuz the ads aren’t a have to, I guess theirs nothing we can do. I’ve not spent a penny and im a skilled fighter. ✓ Very good game, slightly p2wI am a thorough enjoyer of shadow fight, stretching from me completing the entirety of sf2 to sf3 and this shadow fight arena has not failed to be just as stunning, I love the rag doll physics combined with the unique characters and the constant fight and hype to get the next level on your favourite character. Also a lovely surprise to see lynx from sf2, anyways, my problem is that it’s pay to win (mostly) and the weapon drop rates a horrifically low, not sure anyone got a weapon from the free battle pass and a lot of the roulettes are rigged, the community is amazing but everyone has seen and felt the annoyance of the roulette system and p2w crap 😂 love this game and they never fail to surprise, (they always give good compensation rewards) so stick around! 4 stars!.Version: 1.2.2
✓ Awful Lag and terrible erratic control responseThe game has great graphics but other than that it’s a waste of time. There are quite a few flaws with this game namely the lag. Even with a 5G connection on a brand new iPhone this game lags awful. When it lags it gives the opponent time to hit you and there’s nothing you can do about it. You get constant connection error which pause the game and then countdown to start again. To match with opponent takes forever. Usually you have to wait at least a minute and then start the process over again sometimes you do this at least 10 times before you get a match . Then they are just the annoying things like the red dots showing you that there’s something new however there is nothing new they just want you to see their latest way of getting money out of you. Speaking of money, the wallet warriors out there who buy the characters and upgrades….and when you’re put it against them there’s absolutely no way you can even reach them let alone get a hit in..Version: 1.5.1

However the description of the game says that you can play offline, which is great because my house doesn’t have internet access, but when I go to try the game offline it says that it couldn’t connect to the server because of no internet, I’ve tried several times but it says the same thing. ✓ Good game but ranked matches brokenThis is a good game but certain things are broken. In ranked matches, once you get to a certain rank e.g. 5000 🏆 it then becomes near impossible to go further. This is because if you win 8 matches in a row against lower rank opponents you win 5 points per match and then as soon as you lose 1 game against a lower rank opponent you lose 60 points and so you end up going back to square one, and this has been happening for the last couple months. I am still in same position. Secondly, I’ve purchased lots of crates in the hope of unlocking new characters but the chance is so low that my real money spent has been worthless. I’ve waited an incredibly long amount of time and played a lot of matches and still no new characters are unlocked. There doesn’t seem to be any realistic way of doing this, as a regular player. Also, the game puts you against players who have much higher levelled up characters with more hp and damage output, even if they are lower rank, and this makes it even harder to win and increase ranking. Due to these reasons, I will probably stop playing the game as I cannot progress in terms of either new characters or increasing ranking and unlocking new characters or even just cosmetic rewards..Version: 1.4.10
✓ New updateNew update is cool and all but they really ruined the trophy system I had 7000 trophies going into new update now if you win a game against a player who had 2-300 more trophies than you you only get like 10 trophies for it and then I lose one game to a player with 50 less trophies than me and I lose 48 trophies for it? That’s a little ridiculous. Then I lose to a very campy player who just backed up the whole game and attacked. He had 400 less trophies than me and I lose 74 trophies! Now I have to win at least 30 games to even come close to getting my trophies back. Also matchmaking is terrible I get games where I face players who have up to 1 or 2 thousand less trophies than me all the time only to win 2 trophies after the match. ✓ It’s fun but unbalancedThe game is great without a doubt. For people who like these types of games and have followed Shadow Fight over the years, this is a big step up. However, the trophy system is not well thought through. When facing against AI combatants you can only gain a maximum of 20 trophies per battle and you lose around 10-15, when facing against other non AI combatants, you can gain a maximum of 50-55 trophies per battle but you loose anywhere from 30 to 50 trophies. I think it should be better balanced, maybe not gaining any trophies from AI and only from real players. Reducing the amount of trophies won and lost per game would also be better because what you accomplish in 5 AI fights can be taken away in one normal player game. Maybe doing events that allow you to compete for a higher amount of trophies and losing a higher amount as well might be better since it would be up to the players to choose whether or not to risk it. ✓ Wayyyy better than the regular shadow fight seriesDon’t get me wrong I’ve played 2 and 3 in the past and fighting bots back to back is fun in all but I didn’t really see any competitiveness in it until this one came out and it changed the game entirely with the mechanics and customizations some with bonus affects added on but the thing I really like most is the fact that you can actually go against real people and talk trash in a way with the emotes makes the game more exciting for a competitive player like myself, even with their abilities all of the characters are pretty well balanced so that’s pretty cool too, I think It would be very beneficial if more characters were to be added and more ranks added as well I’ve hit the end and feel like I have nothing further to do other than my characters levels but I would just be playing for “fun”. ✓ Good game but…I’m utterly disappointed in the sheer amount of campers play this game. When I first downloaded it I was feeling good about being able to play with real people. But then I saw how many people play a fighting game only to play scared and mock the people they defeat with zero shame. I was playing as King of the Legion and I only had three talents and he’s level 10, I got put up against a max talent Yunlin that was both character and player level 13, All they could do was use their back shadow move, throw me, and use an up attack. And yet they had the need to spam the Yukka laugh emote and call me trash with the King of the Legion emote. And shadow fight YouTubers who often have max talents and epic weapons are being put up with these kids, who also have epic weapons and all talents. The campers have everything the opponent has and yet they have the need to make fun of their loss and rely on a barrier to win. Campers, if you’re reading this, please stop. You can play just as well as everyone else, you have more than 2 buttons, stop running in a FIGHTING game, you and your opponent are matched, and quit being unsportsmanlike. ✓ Great!Just like shadow fight 3 (my favourite game). Great graphics but jet uses imperial pearls as the composite glaive with her better outfit and fireflies as her worse outfit. ✓ Needs enhanced chancesHello Nekki and this is a review about the chances of receiving a new character and fighting at the maps you have unlocked in the ranked rewards. Now don’t get me wrong this is an awesome game that you guys have created and I play this game every day but there are a couple of things you could maybe change. Firstly, there is an extremely low chance of receiving a new character from chests and it seems no matter how many chests I open and I mean any chest, I just don’t get a new player. Second, the chance of fighting in the other maps besides the forest, the rift, the legion capital and Marcus’s village are extreeeeeemely rare and I am sick of going to the same arena every fight. Please fix these things nekki. This is a great game with EXTREME potential.👌👍 Edit: Could you also make it easier to get rubies because it would be so much better for a boy like me who isn’t old enough to get real money to get them. ✓ Campers in this game…Creators of the game, a.k.a. Nekki, Look I know you guys work really hard at maintaining all three shadow fight games. But can you please, PLEASE eliminate campers in the events, like make them all AI or something? The one with the closing walls is nice, and I know it’s not easy to maintain these three games, they are all wonderful but the campers, the campers in the event are just ARRRRGH!!! I don’t really care that they get better heroes or whatever if they are better then they are better. But the camping is out of control and EXTREMELY annoying. Anyways, truly, you do a great job at maintaining them so well, with constant updates and such, but if you could, try to work on a solution to the campers because it is really a nuisance, especially for newer players who just uninstall because they are fed up with it.
