Savvy navvy: Boat Navigation for Positive User Reviews

Love this ApWe do most of our boating in the Florida Keys in very shallow water. We have an excellent large screen Garmin - but Savy Naviy is our go-to! Plenty of cell sigma in the Keys so it’s easy. I love the point to point feature with the sectional navigation. And the distance rings. So easy to use. I’ve turned several captains in the area on to it too. We are very happy with it. Been boating for 37 years going back to LORAN navigation, Savy Navy is definitely our ‘go to’..Version: 1.1.113

Looks pretty good so far, the true test will be when i get on the water with it.So far so good!.Version: 1.1.136

Not user friendlyI tried to use the app when I was out on the water attempting to navigate from a location to a boat ramp. I could get a route after I dropped an A mark in present position and placed B at destination. Couldn’t find how to start navigation. I really should have been more careful and canceled in free trial..Version: 1.1.76

Brings it all together better than any other packageAn excellent easy to operate system to either prepare a passage plan to be checked traditionally or to check one you prepared earlier! Still learning how to make the most of it and I am sure that confidence in the outputs will grow with practice. Tidal info particularly impressive.Version: 1.1.24

Great GraphicsI signed up to Savvy Navvy after watching a comparison review with Navionics which I use within my Simrad System on boat my Swedish Motor Cruiser. I do like a back up for use on my iPhone and iPad and Savvy Navvy looks excellent. I have already suggested a couple of improvements such as the app having regard to harbour speed limits when calculating journey times . Thoroughly recommended.Version: 1.1.108

One improvementI love this app, but would make one improvement. I would like to see available routes four boats with no motor power. If there is weak wind the app says no route available, but it would be great to see a course, No matter how inefficient. For example if staying at anchor for 18 hours until the wind changes is the only possibility, it would be nice for the app to say that.Version: 1.0.104

Does the jobUse instead of my other program. Good for my cray positions and navigation.Version: 1.1.76

RAD NAV APPI use Savvy Navvy daily for all my inshore fishing here in south Texas. Great for current conditions, including tides and wind direction. It’s like Google maps for boaters. Plan routes, mark your fishing spots and return to the dock in one piece. Every time! Great App 5 stars..Version: 2.1.242

East to use and very usefulThis app is extremely easy to use and has a ton of useful information..Version: 1.1.80

Perfect for my needsA really handy app that has helped me plan my journeys. A captains best friend..Version: 2.2.10589

CRExcellent Navigation APP. Takes the stress out of boating. Highly recommended..Version: 2.1.245

Perfect ComplimentWe’re on Lake Michigan, Wisconsin side. We’re newer to sailing the Great Lakes so I was interested in trying several different navigation apps. We decided on Savvy Navvy for several reasons. The SN team is responsive ! In the handful of times I’ve communicated with them, particularly Ivo, he dove right in and addressed my questions while treating me as an equal. I’ve compared SN app results with other apps and other sailors apps. SN is on point. Lastly, I just simply like the look and feel of the screen. Especially Preview mode: it is a very nice perspective to you position. 2024 we’ll be living aboard in season. Savvy Navvy will be our go to navigation..Version: 2.2.7741

Lake MichiganI have been using Savvy Navvy for 2 seasons now, and it has been a great tool while navigating Lake Michigan. Having completed 2 10-day trips on both the Wisconsin and Michigan sides of the lake, I have full confidence in Savvy Navvy. Very easy to navigate the site, and a great compliment to my onboard systems. Should anything go sideways with my onboard navigation system, I would be perfectly comfortable using Savvy Navvy to safely get me to port. Thanks, Bill C.Version: 2.2.8854

A realy great app.I’ve recommended this app to all my boating friends and many have now signed up to it ,great app, great customer service, really does make boating experience so much easier, safer, and enjoyable even if you have a boat with full navigation equipment I would still recommend getting this app. Good job Savvy Navvy..Version: 2.2.9309

Great appExcellent app. I love the detail and also the fact that when I raised a query on tidal information with the developers, the response was fast, concise and friendly. These are nice people! I am a rower with plans for some short coastal passages around the Solent. As I average 3knts, tides are of course, important to my enjoyment. Savvy Navvy is ideal for my purpose and I feel sure other users will agree..Version: 1.1.18

Close to perfect!I stumbled upon this when another app i was using was waaay off base with our arrival time and i lost all confidence in it’s accuracy. Hasn’t happened with Savvy Navvy. I love that it’s easy to use, and even gives wave height predictions at different segments. We connect it to our garmin and have it displayed while underway. Love, love, love it. Lori P..Version: 2.2.6371

Excellent productThis is just what sailors have been looking for. A navigation tool which smoothly intergrates wind/tide/depth with course to steer and even advice on sail trim. Just fabulous bit of kit. Am planning to use app on sailing trip in West Indies and will be interested to see how it works offline. Nick.Version: 1.0.73

Great NavWe have a jet ski and have had great luck using this app for navigation. Excellent graphics showing channel markers, depth, and much more. Enjoy the reverse route feature, have not gotten lost yet!.Version: 2.1.242

Hanna was very helpfulVery good up to date maps.Version: 1.1.118

Breakthrough Navigation AppWhilst this will not (yet) supplant your MFD or plotter, this has to be the best route planning tool out there. The fusion of chart, tide and weather models into a single planning tool is quite excellent. Plus the integration with other useful data sources will have you using this app as the ‘go to’ navigation tool. Google maps for boaters!!.Version: 1.1.76

What a great start! Obviously designed by sailorsThis is the first sailing app I’ve used that works to answer the most important questions I have as we sail: what is the current doing? Can I point to get there or will I have to tack? Well worth the price of subscription. And more importantly, it doesn’t show extraneous information and map features that clutter up other navigation apps. This adds to convenience, but most importantly SAFETY when a split-second decision is needed and your plotter is the key source of information. Finally it is a beautiful presentation. Our boat is beautiful, and Savvy Navvy fits right in. Other chart plotters look like the product manager’s kid chose the icons and colors. All the features I might want aren’t here yet, but I appreciate how the company is being careful about adding what is essential, vs. throwing the kitchen sink at the product..Version: 1.1.18

Gold Coast mapsOnly been using it for a few months and it is very accurate, easy to program. Highly recommend it..Version: 2.2.9563

Necessary boating toolI am sailing from Townsville to Brisbane and planned an exact waypoint plan. Awesome tool..Version: 1.1.73

OutstandingOutstanding content and convenience of use and as the user base continues to grow it can only get even better..Version: 1.1.162

Only getting betterGreat features and very responsive to feedback.Version: 1.1.124

It is a wow!I am heading to the BVI and learned that iNAVX did not have BVI maps. I found Savvy Navvy…thank goodness. Very intuitive. Very powerful. It brings navigation, weather and routing together. I’m totally impressed. Their marketing line is something on the order of “Google Maps for marine navigation.” I would say that is accurate and a brilliant marketing description. And on top of everything else, great support from IVO..Version: 2.1.242

Well thought out Website.I haven’t actually used it yet, but as an experienced mariner, it has all the tools I need to plan routes..Version: 1.1.80

It’s greatI’m brand new to sailing so I can’t make recommendations based on any real comparison or across large areas. That said for my situation Savvy Navvy has been just perfect. I can pre plan routs and find my way back to the buoy systems using GPS. I agree that is is just like google maps for the sea. I am currently only sailing close to the shore, around Conwy bay, Anglesey and Beaumaris. Without this app there is no way I could have navigated this area so quickly. I do also have the navionics which in my opinion is not as good for preplanning but the Charts on navionics are arguably a bit easier to read when at sea, due to simpler, chunkier graphics..Version: 1.1.163

Savvy navvyI have only had the app for a couple of weeks but so far it has been very user friendly. It seems to be much easier to use than other apps I have and gives me all the information I need..Version: 1.1.101

Awesome productHaving learnt to use paper charts all my life Savvy Navvy has truly revolutionised the art of marine route planning! It’s simple, accurate and easy to use. You can then export your routes to your chart plotter and have two forms of navigation available to you. As far as I’m aware no other marine nav app even comes close..Version: 2.2.5542

Works perfect for the small pleasure boat.I enjoy this app as I have a 18 FT Sea Ray and this app meets all of my needs to make me feel safe and secure when boating..Version: 2.2.8745

The best by farThis is by far the easiest one I have found to use. All the others might look prettier but they are not as easy and clear to use. I download several and this is by far the bestI just want more of the features included with the app. Thank you.Version: 1.1.69

Version 2Have been using this app for a couple of years now and it just keeps getting better. It’s my go to nav aid for passage planning and is great to have on had to keep track of our trip progress. Tuning savvy navvy to your requirements so that it can show the most accurate plot for you is key to success with this app. The anchor function works very well too and offers the chance to get get a good nights kip. The savvy team have been good at listening to feedback from the community and v2 is clearly a reflection of that. As always I’d like to see more and I’m sure the savvy team will continue their development..Version: 2.2.7279

Perfect for Navigating on the water!!Ideal with more than enough information for navigating on the water!! Highly recommend 😎.Version: 2.1.224

Important tool for my passage planningI really enjoy using Savvy Navvy and have used it for some time. It’s my go-to app for my passage planning. When deciding my route it has been an essential source of sailing information that I always check before setting off. Well done to the team at Savvy Navvy for your continuing to strive with additional improvements and no doubt some excellent ones you are intending to make over time. Highly recommended..Version: 1.1.77

Shane CahillSo far it’s been great.Version: 1.1.101

Saavy NavySaavy Navy is a great navigation tool. We live on the Caloosahatchee River and often take day trips on the Intercoastal waterway. This app makes it easy to navigate to precise destinations and find loc’s to gas up on the water. This app makes this Captain looks like an expert! I would highly recommend this app to boaters of any experience level 5 Stars!.Version: 2.2.9385

ReviewGood app.Version: 1.1.84

Black Hornet RacingGreat app. Super clear, beautifully rendered vector charts, handy auto routing and the best hour by hour wind forecasting ux I have seen..Version: 1.1.52

Savvy NaviPerfect for my close offshore needs , easy to use and comprehensive . You’d find Savi Navi particularly useful if your boat was on fire and sinking in the middle of a shark feeding frenzy just so they’d know where to leave the flowers . Highly recommended ..Version: 1.1.145

Better and BetterThis app is useful. It has improved from day one. Give feedback and ides and they listen. I’m impressed by the growth from the beginning..Version: 1.1.27

Good passage planning tool and getting betterI use this all the time for planning. I use it with a range of tools and for a quick check it is superb. The team are improving it all the time and if you find something odd then they are on it right away. There aren’t many developers I would say that about. It doesn’t work for me up wind as I sail a freedom rig and can’t sail as quickly or close to the wind as the app thinks I can. An editable polar would be good and I understand that is functionality that is coming. This list of improvements coming this year looks good. It is certainly the simplest sail planning tool to use and provides great results..Version: 1.0.73

Kiwi flyerGreat app and great coverage around New Zealand.Version: 1.1.52

Terrific supportThey are wonderful todeal with.Version: 2.2.9008

Great AppCoupled with What3Words it works great. I like that I can check the weather along my whole route just by touching the screen where I need the info is great..Version: 1.1.76

Has everything neededI do like this fab app. It has a simple layout, with giving all I need for a good local sail. Things I appreciate: - The wind arrows across the chart - The tide status at each plot - being able to look at those areas I like & hope to sail; as a small sail boat user, this feature is of particular interest. I could look at my area Chichester, an area I love Falmouth, and an area I hope to Rügen (Germany). This is a fab feature for me. Makes Savvy Navvy perfect for me. Hopefully, one day, a simple extension to the Apple Watch would really tick everything; yet what I have is great.Version: 1.1.76

Why wouldn’t you! This app gives everything that the other more well knows apps provide and so much more. It covers the whole world, so no need to buy areas and regions. It provides sailing tools that none of the others provide Even useful as a study tool if you’re doing a boating qualification. Put this on a tablet and you’ve got one of the best chart plotters money can buy for peanuts.Version: 1.1.18

GreatSaves time, no need to manually calculate all variables: tidal currents, weather, etc.. Maps load offline, yet still needs thorough testing in real conditions. One of the must have items in sailors software gadget list..Version: 2.1.223

Quick And EasyAlthough I use the standard array of trawler navigation gear, it is comfortable to have this software in my iPad for referencing location, currents encountered and tides. While one is at the helm, it is super easy to do research on running conditions at a glance. Good product, not intended for full navigation purposes though, with deep draft boats. The trusty charts make a very good partnership..Version: 1.1.118

Great bit of softwareI bought this as a navigation and sailing aid for the Solent area and so far its generally excellent. Had a little difficulty with the tides direction but that seems to be working now so very happy. The charts are so much better than the Imry App I subscribed to..Version: 2.2.7279

Works wellSilly name, great navigation planning app. Unfortunately needs the internet, for weather. It would be difficult to do what the app does without internet..Version: 1.1.76

Totally brilliant! For the instant “what’s my best route and how long will it take” picture. This is an EXCELLENT app. Enjoy an app incorporating weather forecast, tidal flow and currents with engine on and “sail under canvas”. You can plan not just ETA, but fuel useage and some of the finer nuances of sailing. I would actually give 6 stars if I could! Well done Savvy Navvy team! Oh and thanks for supporting RNSA.Version: 1.1.77

Excellent app for route plannngWe use Savvy Navvy every day for route planning. As full time liveaboards it is important that we have credible distance & ETA estimates, and we have found Savvy Navvy to be more accurate than its competitors. When combined with the weather data, this makes Savvy Navvy our "go to" app. Even though we also use other weather apps such as Windy, I find that more and more we mainly use these to reinforce the Savvy Navvy data. Would definitely recommend this app..Version: 2.2.8515

Great AppDoes what it says. Have just done a 55 nautical passage using this app. It brilliantly synthesises the boat’s characteristics with wind, tide, current to effectively plot a route. It was very accurate and also took fog into account. Laughably inexpensive for an app which would do all that and provide charts with accurate depths as well..Version: 1.1.101

I was skeptical but then surprisedI have used savvy navvy numerous times costal cruising and it’s quick easy and remarkably accurate, so happy to recommend to everyone..Version: 1.1.145

It checks out !Using savvy navvy on port Philip last week in Victoria Australia, using a trailer sailor vessel and was sailing very close to the shore for 50 km Very impressed that all reefs and hazards were marked Also loved that for night sailing the light signals on marine buoys synchronised with colour and flashing on the savvy app Happy savvy sailing folks!.Version: 1.1.108

Bravo!.Version: 2.2.9008

Seems okay so far , just needs more dataNeeds more data , for lakes in Ontario , especially lake Simcoe which is one of the biggest lakes in Ontario with many boaters and one of the most beautiful marinas ( Friday harbour ), would love to use the app in lake simcoe , so currently I am unable , currently deciding between this app and Wavve app. I like the features more on savvy but I feel like Wavve has more maps currently in Ontario , so please savvy, step up your game in Ontario !.Version: 1.1.162

Great and simple to useI sail with friends and families and this app is a great way to illustrate “dads” boring chart work through a much more teenage friendly platform. I use both for cross reference and find it pretty accurate. Considering the price of charts it is extremely good value..Version: 2.2.253

Sign upWould rather see more of the program/charts etc for Australia before signing up.Version: 1.1.52

Use it every dayAmazing planning app like no other. We use instead of Navionics app as it has so much more for so much less. Just wish we could more easily import routes to our plotter (Wi-Fi vs email plus thumb drive)..Version: 2.2.7279

Great UI, but requires re-login too frequentlyAnd always when out of cell service. This is an annoying and potentially dangerous quirk. There were a few times testing out this free trial that I had to jump to Navionix which I thankfully kept as a backup just because I didn’t have service and I was stuck on a login screen I couldn’t get past..Version: 1.1.27

Go to route plannerI love this app, has immediately become my go to app rather than the several other single purpose apps, planning offshore sailing trips has become user friendly Thank you..Version: 2.0.1996

A great asset for sailorsNot that one should rely on a single piece of software when it comes to passage planning and the safety of your boat and crew, but this app is my go to. The others are there to support and fill the odd gap that savvy doesn't do or isn't great with, and just to build a better bigger picture. I can't recommend this highly enough..Version: 1.1.76

Amazing power and simple to use- actually works like gmapsNo electronic aid should replace ability to navigate manually but having tried all the tools and apps this one actually works. The plotting and route planning is game changing for the price. Have not tried connecting to onboard equipment yet..Version: 2.1.224

New boaterI am a new boater in Tampa Bay. The app has been very helpful in navigating the bay. With the weather information, wind speeds, direction, etc, and the added tide charts, I feel pretty informed and safe about my trip on the water..Version: 1.1.133

Everything you need in one appMy navigation folder on my phone bulges with nav, weather and tide tools but Savvy Navvy have managed to put it all together. It’s a game changer and is now my first call, with others for second opinion..Version: 1.1.77

Great customer servicePrior to purchasing the app I had a one to one session with David. This was very valuable in understanding not just how to use it but where it fitted into the plethora of apps we all use for sailing. Now am an enthusiastic supporter and it has reduced dramatically the number of apps I need to use to plan and execute a cruise..Version: 1.1.71

New to sailing with Savvy navvyOnly just started using the app and have to say that although I’m somewhat technically challenged found it easy to use and how it works fantastic, I have been using it parallel to Navionics and the one great feature is how it plots a course to steer and gives you the actual degrees taking into account the weather and tides! I’m sure I’ve got plenty to learn still so as to get the most out of it, but so far a big thumbs up!.Version: 1.1.82

Love the idea - needs polishingI so want to love this app. I use Navionics Boating as well, which is polished and does what it says. Savvy Navvy's tides and wind is fantastic when it works. The tides seem to be running in the wrong direction at times? But it's the recording bit which seems problematic. For me it struggled at times, completely failing to record whole trips. I kept re-starting the 'record' but this seemed pointless after it stopped the first time. I also want it - please - to allow me to run through the journey afterwards, so I can see speeds and times etc. Meanwihile my iPad down below on 'Boating', just recorded the whole thing every time. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt and hope things will improve. I know I have had a bit of a moan here, but I do really like it and the planning aspect is great. I'm hoping it's just needing a 'polish'..Version: 1.1.162

Lifesaver!2 weeks ago during the heatwave, we were on the Solent and the temperature fried all our instruments including the GPS plotter. Thank god we had Savvy Navvy as it worked perfectly for the entire weekend and allowed us to do everything we wanted. People say these kind of apps aren’t meant to replace the instruments on board, well I can confirm that when they instruments on board all fail, this was an absolute lifesaver. Can’t wait to test it in other countries..Version: 2.0.1996

Does what it says on the tinFabulous at everything it does. Makes passage planning so incredibly easy. Combining tide and weather information then makes it simple to schedule in those passages. The most reliable weather forecast we have found in the UK and also mid-Atlantic. Dealt with the very complex weather in and around Madeira with great accuracy. Clear charting, great overlays, easy to use. What more could you want?.Version: 2.2.11199

Good option and back upHas stature mileage and very helpful if other apps are nm. Easy to use. Simple information and simple appearance..Version: 2.2.10303

Brilliant Mariner App a real must haveLike lots of others I have Navioncs on my iPhone and tablet so why would I need savvy navvy, well in short you do as it gives real-time tide, and weather and provides passage planning taking account of all these factors, I’m still getting to grips with it but can’t rate it high enough...great tool at sea..Version: 1.1.124

Gets better and betterVery good app and much better value than others. Now with the tidal and weather info, makes routing and planning much better..Version: 1.1.76

Savvy navvy great sailors app!Savvy Navvy is wonderful for plotting a course to sail and once finalized easy to export as a GPX file to import into your chart plotter. Most Chartplotters are capable of utilizing and accepting the universal GPX file format making SavvyNavvy EasyPeasy. Try it and you’ll be convinced.Version: 1.1.119

Savvy NavvyGives a lot of detail in making a passage plan - possibly too much in the way of detailed course changes to make a relatively straight forward trip. Good animations of wind and tidal predictions overlaid on good digital passage charts. I understand there are some options being researched which might make me give the full stars!.Version: 1.1.18

Excellent App for navigatingIts like google maps but for boats. Very reliable for weather and depth. I always use it to plan far trips. Tells you approximate time to get there and how much gas needed (based on your boat engine data in your account and your cruising speed. Overall great application.Version: 2.2.9008

Very promisingExcellent app with some neat features. I particularly like the automatic weather routing which seems to work well, although more options to customise boat performance are needed (like on Predict Wind). Multiple weather models would also be welcome (again, like Predict Wind). The pricing needs to be more competitive. Navionics is the gold standard to beat and while Savvy Navvy has some good features that Navionics doesn’t have, Navionics is much more competitively priced. I would like to see this app grow and provide a viable alternative to Navionics. So far this is looking very promising..Version: 1.1.52

Great for boatersJust started to use this for route planing. Works extremely well, using your boats dimensions, spped etc. Shows local weather and tides in real-time! Extremely useful. Would recommend to anyone. Allows for mono hull or cat. Queried no motorboats and it's under development! Definitely worth the price..Version: 1.1.39

Marine navigation made easyThis is my go-to navigation app when on the water. The program is intuitive and well designed. Easy to learn..Version: 1.1.118

IanVery impressed with the app and the courses it plots using the navigational charts. I have not used it on my boat yet but plotted a few known courses and it has selected them well. With regards to the app, one passage I will be doing this year is from Weymouth around Portland Bill to Brixham. If any one knows this passage I understand one route is to keep in tight around the Bill???? I have now subscribed for the 2nd year and as far as boating costs go this is excellent value. I use it home to plan my passages at home to familiarise myself with the seas before we go to the boat and this is just perfect Thankyou Savvy Navy, 10/10👍👍👍👍.Version: 2.2.6601

Used it for trip to Catalina IslandMy nav on the boat was malfunctioning and I had a trip the next day to Catalina Island from Newport Beach. I downloaded the app and used it the next day. It was perfect. Saved me from buying a new nav system. Highly recommend..Version: 1.1.101

Loving savvy navvyWhat an easy app to use! Great detail and intuitive to the touch of the screen. Easily found harbors to make planning easy..Version: 1.1.85

Best portable appI would be lost without Savvy navvy👍.Version: 1.1.89

Looks good so far but Tides should be included.Downloaded the app and had a little play with it. Looks impressive but have not used it on my boat yet . However tidal data is not included in the “basic price” you have to pay for an upgrade to get tidal data. That’s a bit cheeky since tides are an important part of passage planning for every mariner, power or sail. It makes me suspicious about what other “upgrades” might be required . There are numerous free tidal apps so difficult to understand why tidal cannot be integrated in the basic price module..Version: 1.1.80

Great navigation appSimple and intuitive to use, a very simple navigation app that does a better job than some of the expensive chart plotters. Have it on a phone or a full size tablet to use at the helm or down below for passage planning..Version: 2.2.6371

Savy Navy ReviewOverall, this is a very good program, and I use it all the time. A few improvements that I would like to see are: Make the water depth markings darker, so I can easily see them For a long time the wind direction was so heavy. It hid all the navigation information. Fortunately, this was corrected. The tide information is not always accurate one time it was saying high tide is low tide. I will get with you to have this corrected next time I see it..Version: 2.2.9162

Great to use love itToll All me mates.Version: 2.1.233

It’s so simple !! I love itEnter your boats specs . Enter where you want to go & it works out best course based on weather & tides at the time ..Version: 2.2.8854

Great affordable smart navigation.Well done Navvy Savvy guys! The app is super intuitive and helpful and very affordable compared to my other navigation tools. Further integration with Third party apps is a great idea and I think your idea of linking with other apps is the way forward rather than to try to be everything yourself. Humble simple smart - like it. Faster route plotting would be a bonus. Congratulations..Version: 1.1.85

Almost perfectThis app would have everything I need out on the water if it had a radar overlay and a way to save past waypoints that show on the map. Also, the app fails to load even with full cell service sometimes..Version: 1.1.136

Good for what it doesCharts are good. However, it would be really useful to have more chart options (safety depth, show/hide soundings, etc.). Would be handy to have more helpful routing features like only daytime sailing (find anchorage at night), being able to save routes and possibly reroute based on current weather. NMEA interface would be great also. This is a great start but needs more features before it could rank as my main navigation app..Version: 1.1.73

Great Navigation App that worksHave used this Navigation App for 2 sailing seasons and planned and completed multiple routes. Very easy to plan with accurate weather and tidal information making for an accurate plan. App also works very well as a chart plotter when connected to a GPS by Bluetooth on my iPad and mounted in cockpit. Will continue to be my go to Navigation App..Version: 2.1.242

A great passage planning tool and moreGreat to see the app now available and even easier to use than the website I have used for a long time now, since the earliest days of its availability. So mush better to access this directly on my iPad. The concept is great and the execution even better as the range of additional features continues to grow - now with weather and tide information included it really becomes a “one-stop shop” or, at the very least and more likely, a “must go to” when planning a route or looking at options and background information..Version: 1.0.73

Great plan BRecently my autopilot stopped tracking - savvy was easy, and saved the weekend. Thanks Only suggestion - when underway direction of travel suggested should be easily displayed ..Version: 1.1.89

Very good toolWe are back to boating after many years away. We found this app and it has been amazingly helpful..Version: 2.1.224

Great sailing featuresThis app has a lot of great sailing features. Haven’t been able to take it out on the water but excited to try its excellent wind forecasting features. I had a small problem with the app but I reached out to the developers who responded quickly and were able to identify my issue (was related to wind animations and my phone getting warm to the touch)..Version: 1.0.92

Difficult to accessI feel like I’ve wasted my money. Paying a 12 month subscription. I can’t access the app even though I have a good signal..Version: 1.1.85

Navigating for beginnersStarted in Maldon, first year with my own boat and soloing. Paper charts drawing plots, then immediately tacking away from my best intentions. Savy Navy proved itself on the third day, a mile offshore looking for the River Blyth entrance for Southwold is far to far away. Get in closer and sail past. Downloaded Savy Navy the problem solved. Took me to the Orkney’s, still scribbling on paper charts, updating them as I sailed up the coast. Loch Inver in the Hebrides was another matter. Torrential rain, the run in whites out, get the app up, slow right down and tack back out to safer water. Sod crabbing around a rock infested shore, line up two mile out trust the app, very slow straight approach while waiting the rain to clear. Perfectly on target when the curtains parted. Now my little Sadler 29 is parked up in Zumaia, in the Basque Country for another week. Well done Savy Navy, my most essential safety backup. I use it several times every trip out, or more when out of site of land..Version: 2.2.10870

Not accurate locationGenerally the app doesn’t show an accurate location. I seem to be shown run aground most times at anchor. I have spoken with tech support and had a few problems initially that they were happy to help sort. I am only using the base model but will not be extending at the moment. I have not been able to use for a passage despite having tried a few times, to get a location at all I have to delete and reload the app?Aqualibrium.Version: 2.1.224

Course to steer feature very helpfulFor longer passages the cts routing is very useful. Either pull off the app data and put on your paper charts as a back up, or work out on your paper charts and check against the app. Could save hours and puts everything you need to know in one place..Version: 1.1.27
