✓ Understeer simulator is back!What an aweful attempt at mobile gamig. The game is very cookie cutter with completely unrefined graphics, controls and gameplay. Kunos is banking off their name cache to fool people into buying this abhorrent and quite frankly, embarrassing excuse of a mobile game. PS: Do you remember that thread where a track instructor/OP claimed that cars have understeer? And you got super defensive? ✓ Needs better controls -please read!I feel like this game could be a lot better if there was a good controls layout. Tilt controls and the steering wheel input just don’t work well and make it difficult to play. The button controls should be good with this game, but for some reason, the layout just does not make any sense! With buttons, you cannot manually apply gas, just the brakes. Also, the steering input buttons are on the opposite sides, which just feel weird. If the button controls were reworked to have the steering buttons on the bottom left corner and the inputs for braking and ACCELERATING to the bottom right corner, the game would be so much easier to use. Games like Rush Rally 3 and Real Drift use this layout, and it works so well. I hope this will be a future update to the game..Version: 1.01

The game runs with black borders on my 11” 2020 iPad Pro. ✓ Nothing specialIf you’ve played Real Racing 3 then this is nothing to get excited about. The graphics aren’t anything to praise, the handling is unresponsive then over responsive. The AI struggle driving in a straight line at times. The audio is basic, the driving views are plenty, but there’s no HUD display if you choose to sit in car. This isn’t really helpful because the mph gauge is the only thing that’s really telling you if you’re going too fast to corner. & there’s no race replay unlike Real Racing 3. You guys seriously needed to look at the competition before releasing a similar game. Pretty disappointing to think I’ve paid nearly £5 to download this. If I could get a refund I’d appreciate it. The steering needs to be more responsive, the in-car view needs the HUD display and the audio needs to be better. The cars need to stop sticking to each other & the AI need to brake later. ✓ Needs a lot of improvementI was stoked to see Kunos throwing their hat into the mobile game genre. Unfortunately the game has its flaws and isn’t as easy to pick up as I expected. The graphics, car models, and tracks are very well put together, but the steering is clumsy which makes the game unplayable at times. Whether you’re using the tilt or wheel function, it’s extremely hard to control at any speed. I’m hoping with future updates you’d have the ability to use an external controller or left/right arrow buttons where the steering wheel function is located. The game has a lot of potential, but as it sits I gave it a 2 out of 5 stars. 😔.Version: 1.0

✓ Don’t fall into the trapThe game runs fine, I didn’t experience any of the crashes or glitches, but it’s just a fundamentally bad game. For nearly 8 dollars, it’s an expensive mobile game. With abysmal physics, car selection and terrible graphics, it just isn’t justified. And it’s not my phone either, even with an iPhone 13 Pro Max it looks shockingly bad, even for a mobile game. Any rear-wheel-drive car is simply uncontrollable and there’s no difficulty system - meaning that if you’re not a mobile racing gaming expert, it’s impossible. ✓ Needs workFirstly the game needs controller support. I tried using a razer kishi and Xbox controller and I’ve played on a iPhone X and iPad Pro 11 but they do not work despite the product page saying that we can use an “external controller”. Graphically it is about the same as real racing 3 and the controls/handling are both laggy and twitchy but raising the sensitivity helps a little bit. Hopefully the game will be updated to address these issues as this review is of the day 1 version. The AI can sometimes be erratic too. For example, in the first career race at Vallelunga, many of the AI spin around turn 1. On the positive side the HUD is nice (although the option for a mini map would be nice as well) and the game runs pretty well performance-wise. Also the way you have to unlock things as you go serves as motivation to keep playing.Version: 1.0
✓ Below average needs upgradesFor what it is, the game does what it says which is to offer a sim like experience on mobile. Unfortunately , limited modes and tracks make the game feel empty like there is nothing to achieve or discover other than unlocking new cars, which is fine, if it was done in a more exciting way. The graphics are dated for 2021, I would say the quality is something similar to N64 graphics but more refined and in HD, the car details are ok but the tracks are very basic, and considering there is so few of them, why are they not more detailed? The sense of speed is also very bad and there is no damage physics or further effects details, and, just to make things worse, the controller support is not working properly. The game could easily be free to play and it is even laid out in this type of style, to be honest I’m disappointed and expected a bit more given we are in 2021, now If you look at NFS most wanted it was released in 2014 and runs so much better, has better gameplay, graphics, more tracks, 7 years later given the hardware ability you would think they could do much better than this..Version: 1.0

✓ Tried to support it…It’s just overall bad. Graphics need a ton of work. The car models are great, especially the interior, but there really needs to be some sort of lighting or post-processing. The driving is doo-doo as well. I chose the virtual steering wheel, and it didn’t make the driving any better. It’s too sensitive, even with changing sensitivity, and the cars drive worse than Grid Mobile. Its got that wobbly boat driving, and the AI starts to wobble and hit you on the first turn. Trying to get back on the road is horrible, you’re better off restarting the race. It feels like the game is going against you. I tried to continue playing, buying another vehicle, but the driving did not improve. BTW, upgrading that first car to max really won’t do much, there’s a few AI cars that go try-hard and will do everything they can to win, great but horrible when the player can’t even control their car going who-knows-what since it’s in KPH, not MPH. I will say that the only good time I had in this game was the doing the Overtake races, but this game is just a hit pile of trash, feels like a rip-off. ✓ I really want to like this game but it’s not drivable yetI love this game on the console, so I bought in right away for mobile. So far I can’t play it, waiting for a fix that makes it better. Firstly, it’s not great looking, like 1 or 2 generations behind other games. I could live with this, I like realism anyway, but… The driving controls are not good. Which is funny for a realistic driving game where controls are extremely important. Mainly it’s the steering, there’s a huge center deadband that you have no control over to dial in. So steering, in any mode you select, is nothing nothing nothing TOO MUCH, ha ha. This one fact kills the game. You’re steering carefully, you need a little more input, and it goes from not enough to too much and you spin out. Or you just go way too slow for the corner to make the turn but lose a ton of lap time. Fix this, and it’s probably great!.Version: 1.01

✓ It should have been more!This game promised to be amazing. But unfortunately it’s really not. The graphics and just meh, the control is over steering is awful, I’ve tried to use a razer controller with this and it’s just not improved at all. You can’t control gears either. Short and simple: the physics and handling are disastrous. 1) big centre dead zone 2) entry into the corners is reasonably ok, Once you are mid corner, or just before the apex the car understeers irrationally and once you apply power the rear end becomes uncontrollable- like driving on molten lava I think this is mainly due to how soft the cars are setup… it’s like driving on slinky springs The game has potential but someone needs to sit down Properly and acquire as much data from the physics engine from the actual pc/console game. ✓ Terrible game and a waste of $6This game is on of the worst thing I have ever bought on the App Store. For one, the graphic are terrible. I get that this is a phone and it would be just like the PC games, but having options to have better graphic would be a nice feature. Even just adding shadows would drastically improve the game. But the worst part is how little you get out of the box. I paid $6, only to have one car to race. I didn’t buy this game to spend 3 hours doing challenges in a Fiat before I got to use the Lamborghini’s, Ferrari’s, or just something fast. Look at Grid Autosport Mobile, in comparison. You buy the game, and immediately get access to all cars in the game. And if you want progression, there is a campaign mode. But it isn’t forced upon the player like in this game. The sounds are very limited, and the graphics are only so so, with the dashboard getting the most attention it appears. Also, why not a custom race option to allow the selection of a track and car, instead of having to do the career only? Update: tried it again with different sensitivity settings and just can’t make a go of it. The handling is just terrible, with the dead spot in the centre steering resulting in jerky motions as you attempt to steer. ✓ Grid older yet light years ahead of this title.How is it possible to make a downgrade of a simulator that came out years ago? First off why is it that touchscreen controls using arrows don’t have an option for acceleration, only breaking? Grid has the ability to use l/r arrows with gas, break, and shift. The menus are better than grid, and internals of the cars look slightly better for some models. By slightly I mean at most 5% better despite the fact Grid came out on Mobile many years ago. That’s it, everything else is way worse. No shadows, awful AA causing jagged edges, very limited car driving setting options, just all around a beta app. Driving feels like it’s a drifting simulator not a driving simulator, but that’s probably due to not allowing tire type change like most racing simulators. It’s worth 1.99 that I paid for it and that’s about it..Version: 1.01
✓ As Real as It Gets for Mobile NowThis is a simulation, not a game. As such it provides as real a driving experience as I’ve come across for iOS devices. There are quirks to be sure (e.g. I can’t account for the sudden turn-in and/or oversteer in the Mazda MX-5), and the shortcomings inherent in most mobile driving apps: like, no gradual throttling or braking; you tap or don’t tap the pedals and that’s it. But it’s real and entertaining, and a great place to start and hone your sim skills. (I hope the developers get back to me on that turn-in issue with the Mazda tho). Thumbs-up. [Edit: I have docked two stars because it keeps: 1) dimming the display on the phone after a few minutes of play, and 2) subsequently crashing. It does both every time I play. I’ve given up on the Mazda but have no issues there, since I’m assuming its sudden — and violent — turn-ins are attributable to wheel-spin, or some such simulated real-life problem: but in this respect I’m giving the developers the benefit of the doubt (since the turn-ins still seem unreal). ✓ This is a Canvas and could be great given some time to growI’ve been an Assetto Corsa fan since it came out on PC, I remember the first few years were slow for Assetto back in the day, it’s normal. But over time the game became more and more popular, updates became increasingly better and then the modding community got involved and that’s (imo) when the game really exploded in popularity. Devs, im sure you guys are well aware of the passionate community behind this game and the increasing amount of mods made available by modders, so in the future bringing into this mobile version of the game what makes the PC version so unique and popular would be a great move (imo). Things like multiplayer, drifting physics (and cars), DLC packs, new tracks, etc… In conclusion, this mobile version is a start, a canvas so to speak, so letting more people that aren’t being payed help in the development of adding or “modding” stuff in from the PC version would be a step in the right direction. GT racing 2 has the best sim wheel controls out of any mobile game hands down. And you can’t produce somthing better with a big name franchise like this? Gameloft should have made this, at least then it would have been good. EDIT: use GT racing 2 and the rush rally games to base your steering off of.
