✓ Watch and phone not in syncI actually like the app a lot. I didn’t utilize all the features it had to offer. One thing that I didn’t like is the fact that my watch distance and my phone distance were both always off by about 15yds. The phone was more accurate then the watch. In order for me to get the real distance, I had to open my phone and check it because the watch was never correct. PS. I kept my phone in my back pocket just like the tutorial recommended. Please fix this issue and a will give it a better rating..Version: 2.5.0
✓ Auto Shot Detection was greatI hate tracking shots on my phone or my watch during a round, so I wanted to give this app’s auto shot detection a try. It worked great! Added/edited all of my shots in a few minutes after my round. Much better than spending hundreds of dollars on Arccos Edit: watch app doesnt work well..Version: 1.8.10

✓ Awful interface choicesI must admit that I haven’t used the app because I’m unable to register, because the app is so poorly designed that the keyboard covers the fields and there’s seemingly now way around it. Plus, it’s the only app I’ve ever used that keeps forcing me to watch a video every time I launch it. It comes across as a pretty amateurish implementation..Version: 2.9.24
✓ Worst App everI installed this app about 6 months ago to use with my Apple Watch so I only need one watch when playing. I subscribed to monthly Birdie subscription in the UK via Apple. Each month the money goes out but the subscription says ended on the app. Four months I have contacted the developer who respond promptly but it takes about 3 days to fix it. Each month I am assured it is fixed but final straw today as it has failed to renew and I am playing a game when I really needed it. The app appeared to give me what I wanted but the time each month to fix is ridiculous. I would simply recommend you stay away from it unless you want hassle every month.Version: 2.14.15
✓ Too many bugs and crashesI played 18 holes yesterday. It crashed 6 times and the round had to be restarted each time. So as a result I have 6 separate fragments of the round, each segment having a different portion of the round. There’s no easy way I can find to link these segments together. Also, the 1st putt and hole location features on Apple Watch app don’t sync with the phone app even if the phone is in your pocket resulting in me having to approximate the 1st putt and hole location after the round though I took time to mark them during the round 😩. So that advertised feature is useless..Version: 2.14.15
✓ Inferior app and poor customer serviceI got a deal for a year subscription to this app and decided to give it a try. I wanted to like it but it just is not as good as other apps like it. The course GPS is unreliable. The shot tracking is unreliable. The interface is unintuitive and clunky. The app just is not designed well compared to other golf apps out there. Even worse is the predatory nature of their subscription model. They know they cannot retain customers through the quality of the app so they make it extremely difficult to cancel your subscription to try to con you into an unwanted annual subscription renewal. Customer service is useless and will not refund unwanted subscriptions because their whole business model is built on scamming unwanted subscriptions. Bottom line: Do not use this app..Version: 2.14.15
✓ Fix watch crashing with new update.This used to be a great app. The tracking information was so helpful especially strokes gained. Now it’s horrible. They tried to improve it but just made it more frustrating and buggy. I understand that upgraded software takes tome to smooth out. However, It’s not a cheap app so when you pay for a subscription you expect things to be sorted in a reasonable time. The most frustrating big is that now the app doesn’t cue you right away to enter your club selection. Also, why do I have to enter my score twice when I move to the next hole. Too many clicks to not be distracting now. Horrible upgrade..Version: 2.3
✓ GarbageI used the app for the first 2 rounds and was intrigued. I bought the monthly birdie package to see the in depth stats. They charged my apple account and therefore my credit card but the subscription has never worked. I have tried support and all I get is 1) logout and then log back in, or 2) can you subscribe over the internet site and see if that works. No I am not trying another subscription so you can fail to deliver the service and charge me yet again. And yes I have logged out and in several times. Subscriber beware..Version: 2.14.15
✓ Be careful about autorenewal Horrible customer supportOnline support only and from outside of country. Never given options to actually speak to a person. No advance notice that a product would be renewing and refusing to discuss. Product did not work well so I stopped using it last year. difficult to modify and track golf scores. interface was difficult to navigate. ✓ You can get better with less workI was really excited about this app after reading the reviews and how it works. But after installing it, I’ve had nothing but problems. It won’t work with the Apple Watch AT ALL. It’s always on the wrong hole or the incorrect yardages. And yes it’s constantly causing my watch to crash where I have to connect it to a charger for it to turn back on. Save the time and effort and go elsewhere..Version: 2.12.5

✓ Too complicated for meIm a high handicapper and have been using a Garmin Venu for yardages for a few years but wanted to change to an iwatch. This app came out well in reviews but I just find it too complicated and a nuisance that I have to take my phone on the course and have to keep entering my score to be able to move on. Also while my regular course is included there are only options for white and yellow tees but not red. Shame..Version: 2.14.15

✓ Broken Update? Watch Error?I have been using this app for over a year, and love literally everything about it… But on my most recent round it is suddenly “Watch Error — Watch Message Failed” after every hole. I don’t have an Apple Watch, and have never used one… but it keeps popping up. Even when I try to save the round and exit, I get the same error message and it forwards me to the next hole (or back to #1). I have tried to find something in settings to turn the watch off, but there doesn’t seem to be anything. And I have tweaked every watch setting to see if it helps and nothing fixes it. Please fix V1! I use it 3x a week and REALLY don’t want to have to move to a different app!.Version: 2.10.6
✓ Expected much moreShot tracking worked terrible. Many holes really bad and impossible to fix manually due to so many tracking errors. Then the sync between the phone and watch was very bad. Moved to next hole in phone and watch stays on previous hole. So then in watch it marks distance to previous green. Terrible and misleading. That happened on full round and not only one hole. I could not figure out how to edit a hole to add a shot (such as a chip), and when you are mid round you do not have time to go watch a 12 minute video. Considering asking for my money back if I cannot figure out how to adjust. ✓ Very frustrating and difficult to useI was looking for a golf app that would integrate with my Apple Watch and iPhone. I had high hopes for this app. However, if you don’t remember to record your club on every shot it becomes extremely difficult to accurately register shots after the fact. I would definitely not recommend and will not renew my subscription. Follow up: the company promptly responded to my review and offered to help. I asked for, and was quickly given a refund. ✓ Poor in almost every senseI so much wanted this to work especially as I thought I’d done my homework and made comparisons of other similar apps. I initially “trialled” the app and looked at the videos which accompanied the app on first loading. I also received plenty of emails encouraging me to watch the videos and naturally encouraging me to to subscribe. I ventured out into the course and used the app on my V7 Apple Watch. It went reasonably well and I enjoyed using it. (Note I’ve used Garmin golf watches for distances previously with no issue and I normally don’t have it issues beyond my technical ability to understand or at least work with “techies” to fix). At the end of the round it gave me a brief overview of my round with indications of where I had lost strokes it gained them etc. once saying OK that disappeared and all I could then view was my scorecard. Understandable as they want you to pay for a subscription. I have no issues with that. I received an email offering 25% off the Eagle subscription. I was impressed and so jumped in to buy for 12 months. This is when it has all gone wrong. I paid, my credit card debuted and I checked the app and it was not showing. I waited several hours. Still not showing. Via the app I queried this. It said I might wait a couple of days for a response. It should be noted I’m in the UK. The app I think is based in USA DK there is a time difference and I also responded to an email priced in US$ not Sterling. But that really shouldn’t make any difference. This took place in 7 January 2022. Today on 16 January I still do t have an app with my subscription showing allowing me “Eagle” access. There have been loads of emails asking me to delete the app, reinstall the app do this do that etc. but still no joy. I emailed again yesterday following a very poor experience with the Watch app - failing to recognise my Iphone12 not keeping g up with which hole I am on. In the end I had to ignore as it was a huge distraction on the course and interfered with the fun of playing golf. I have not had a reply other than to say j gave a “ticket” number with a link to follow the response. I followed the link entered my details (several times) only to be advised my details are not recognised. This is the end. For me the app is a disaster. I want my money back and I’ll keep looking for an Apple Watch golf app that serves my purpose. I’m concerned because I do t seem to be getting emails from V1 anymore that I don’t get my money back without fight. Next stop my Credit card company to complain if I do t hear anything. Suffice to say I can’t recommend this product particularly if you live in the UK!.Version: 2.14.12
✓ Too much troubleI tried to use the app and it was 75% data entry/correction and 25%golf. Way too much trouble and poor results. My handicap is 1 and I could not see the need for this with a range finder and a scorecard. Some may enjoy it but we play at too fast a pace to bother with data entry. The distances were pretty accurate compared to the range finder. But not knowing where the pins were it was hard to adjust that for proper distance. Thanks for letting me try it out..Version: 2.12.5
✓ Beware of the auto renewalI purchased this app through their website instead of through the App Store to avoid being charged automatically after the year of service expired. They automatically renewed it anyway, so I immediately contacted them requesting a refund. They offered the annual fee at a discounted rate, which I declined and again requested a refund. They refused to do so. I had to continue pursuing customer service just to get the discounted rate they originally offered after they refused to refund my subscription. ✓ Great concept, terrible development and functionalityI love the concept of the app but the auto subscription from the App Store never seems to update within their app. This causes me to have to reach out to tech support each month to have them resolve. That back and forth with tech support usually takes a couple days ( since there is a really slow response time) to get resolved. I find I am using the app less since it’s so frustrating to have to do this every month and sometimes a couple times a month just to get access to the features I like and paid for, but only get to use a little bit. And before the developer responds to this, yes I restored the purchase within the app, and yes I updated the app, and yes I logged out and logged back in, and no it’s still not showing my active subscription. So in summary, great app love the features but a frustrating experience having to resolve the subscription issue Every month, sometimes multiple times within a month..Version: 2.14.15
✓ Cumbersome appBetween the fact that it essentially only captures half of your shots via the watch (driver always worked, with mixed success on irons, and essentially missed every shot I took under 100 yards) and the fact that you end up feeling like you’re spending half your round interacting with your phone instead of enjoying the game, I can’t justify the monthly fee to use this. I found it to be more frustrating than anything, and altering mistakes made detecting shots/adding in shots that it missed was too cumbersome and frustrating when all I wanted to do was move on to my next shot..Version: 2.9.23
✓ Worst App I’ve TriedI’m very tech savvy, so when beginning to golf I did lots of research on the best app to track my progress and stats. The V1 game app is by far the worst app I’ve tried. The user interface is so messy and confusing, the stats are only shown on a graph or pie chart, you can’t follow friends, no club averages, and worst of all the auto shot tracking function is horrible. My watch could only detect drives; and this was after tweaking the settings. I could go on but you get the gist; it’s not user friendly or put together well, doesn’t even function properly. Go with Golfshot, it was the best I tried. 18Birdies would be 2nd place, I wouldn’t even rank this V1 app, it’s not worth any money, not even $2!.Version: 2.14.15
✓ Keeps deleting mid roundBefore it changed names it worked flawlessly now it just stops recording from the watch and even shuts down the app mid round. I now keep a paper scorecard since I have lost more rounds than it has kept..Version: 2.14.17
✓ Great Tracking - AWFUL InterfaceThe GPS and shot tracking is absolutely fantastic. Distances and location of shots were spot on. However, adding, editing, and deleting shots needs tons of improvement. On top of that it’s great to have the statistics, but only half actually make sense.
