I’ve been playing for maybe a month and I have spent some actual money. That being said! Even down to the daily challenges, which on days asks you to expand your wardrobe with 8 items. With no cash buys available you have to use diamonds. Some items cost as much as 1400 diamonds. I have already allowed my daughter to purchase diamonds on quiet a few occasions using her own money i have now put a stop to it due to the amount she has actually spent. Had we of realised that the game would be like this as she progressed i wouldn't of allowed her to continue. I mean, seriously, someone had to work very hard to make the coats, tops and bottoms this horrible. The idea is to make it a challenge to put random items together to create a “pulled together” look. Then right after I did that and submitted another look it gave me the same add and the same thing happened. The problem I have with this game is that they charge cash and diamonds which means the only way to succeed in this game is spending most of your life playing it or spending lots of real cash. The challenges can be annoying sometimes because in order to win you have to choose from a list of chosen items and maybe those are not your style. So you end up with items you don’t enjoy and you’re not allowed to sell or trade them. Another thing I noticed is that you can’t play at your pace because the challenges are timed. Low cost items like hosiery, bags, and jewelry are soon in sort supply. You’re awarded anywhere from 80 to around 300 gems per style, IF you score a total of 400 or more, which almost always requires purchasing a new item! New “gem” items are very expensive, as there are few decent accessories available, and some items, like coats, can cost as much as 1400 gems! There are new collections each week, but not enough new items to sustain you through a week of styling up to 12 looks a DAY. I had to stop playing for a couple months to get enough new items to make it through ONE WEEK of styles. ✓ Limited inventory; useless currencyThe game is fun enough at first, but there’s a significant imbalance in the rewards structure. You have two different forms of currency, green cash and blue gems. You are awarded green cash for submitting, scoring, completing daily “quests”. The blue gems you earn only if you get 4 points or more in scoring, which requires you to buy something new for each outfit you create. It’s fine at first, but once you run out of things to buy with the cash, you’re pretty much stuck. You can spend increasing amounts of money to get more gems, but eventually you run out of new items to buy with those as well. I have played for a couple of months now, spending some money out of pocket to replenish my gems, and have had a good run of winning seasons and being the trendsetter. I’m realizing there’s not much point to this game anymore though with the increasing accumulation of useless currency and inability to earn more of the currency I need. I think it would be improved if you could rebuy items again (renew their unworn bonus) or if the cash could be used for buying gems. Too frequently when you play the Daily Deal and use the WATCH (ad) feature, it gets locked in the loading. You have to fully close the app and restart in order to play and of course, you lose that option. It’s such a waste of time. Also, I recently purchased diamonds which had a sale offer of 750 diamonds for the price of 500. I got 500 instead of the 750. I received a quick “we’ll get back to you” email, and it’s still in process. It’s the glitches that make me give them only 3 stars. ✓ Incredibly frustratingSo I’ve tried playing this game without paying, and I’ve played after putting $15 into the game. After both? Still unplayable. The ONLY way to get a decent score on your submitted outfits is to buy new pieces and both glitter and perfume enhancements. The money and diamonds they give you at the start of the game only lasts about two average difficulty events, and then you’re broke. Winning events only gives you $200 at the least, $800 at the most ($1000 after watching a video) which isn’t even enough to cover a QUARTER of the cost of a single new piece. I used my $15 irl dollars to get about $15,000 and 4500 diamonds. I am not kidding when i say THAT WAS ALL GONE after two events, and i STILL DIDN’T HAVE ENOUGH “NEW PIECES” to qualify for a 5 star rating. So if you want to play and get good ratings but don’t want to pay real money? This is not the game for you. ✓ Not Worth PlayingI had this game for a bit and was enjoying it. The outfits you can make was fun but don’t be fooled, this game costs money. You don’t get enough money/gems after entering events to justify the pricing for buying items - which ultimately would lead to purchasing actual money packs which I have done. I recently updated the game and noticed all the clothing I had gotten while playing is gone, save for a few accessories and shoes. Now they’re showing as needing to be purchased again which is ridiculous. It seems I’m also not the only player that had this happen to them after checking the reviews. If you were wanting to play this game, I would suggest you don’t. It’s not worth playing when your outfits are suddenly no longer owned by you and you have to repurchase them for no reason. Also the fact most of the items, besides the really basic outfit choices, cost a LOT (a simple tie dye shirt for example is literally $4800 to buy) so you’re left with not a lot of options and can’t really win in style competitions without having to reuse items which doesn’t get you a boost for ratings.
