Murder by Choice: Mystery Game for Negative User Reviews

Broken gameThe game has a decent story albeit a little boilerplate: just when you think you’re getting somewhere, a new person dies. The puzzles are fun and the art style is good. Do yourself a favour and keep the sound off: the voice acting is embarrassing. Where this game truly gets its 1-star is the fact that it no longer loads. The game freezes on the title screen every time I open the app. Neither redownloading the game or updating it worked. The fact that this happened right after I finally caved and purchased some gems is the icing on the cake..Version: 2.3.1

Energy use too heavyI enjoyed this game and the story started off quite well, but once you get into the story you realise that the energy depletes far too quickly and replenishes too slowly. Why not generate more revenue with watching ads to get energy? A couple of minutes play for waiting 24 hours just doesn’t cut it. I know I’ll get the standard response that you can get more energy for completing challenges, but obviously not enough. I generally don’t spend money in games but I am happy to watch an ad. I have deleted the game after little over 24hrs because it is so frustrating. I’ll avoid this company in future. Update: as suspected, the standard response rather than doing something about it 🙄.Version: 2.0.10

Dialog shouldn’t cost energy!Great game. But like all the other reviews your energy goes down far too fast. I bought 1000 energy and it went down to 800 fairly normally and then 10 seconds and three clicks later my energy was down to 300! There’s either a glitch or this game is a rort. And you shouldn’t have to use your energy on dialog - it should only go down on actual game play and searching. Otherwise its a great game..Version: 2.1.2

EnergyIt’s disappointing to see all the reviews talking bout how slow the energy replenishing is and how it takes you a ridiculous amount of energy for anything you do ( example of this is if you click on a item it uses 10 energy) and nothing has been changed..Version: 2.3.3

EnergyThe game it’s self could be really fun, the only thing is you can’t actually play for it more than 10 mins as your energy runs out so quickly. Your only option is it buy more energy or wait for your energy to go back up which takes hours. You get 1 energy every 6 minutes, so you’d have to wait an hour to get 10 energy points. This just seems pointless and a waste of time. The game it’s self would have been super interesting to finish and see what happens but with how long it takes to get energy points there’s not really any point.Version: 2.0.8

GAME WANTS MONEYEVERY REVIEW IS ABOUT THE ENERGY ALL THE DEVELOPER DOES IS RESPOND SAYING TO EARN MORE ENERGY. That’s not the point, it is unbalanced! We wait an over 10 hours and come back to 130 energy and only get 3-5 minutes of play time. That is unfair. It shouldn’t cost 5 energy to find hidden items especially when we already only looking for ONE item and have to find all the others to equip the ONE ITEM we were looking for originally. You guys want MONEY. Everyone is complaining about the energy. But since your response is careless, I’ll just delete the game. I downloaded this game because it was recommended on another game. It’s an interesting game. HOWEVER, the ENERGY..everything costs ENERGY and I find that unfair because we get. 1 energy bar ever 7 minutes. I cut off this game overnight and woke up to 130 energy and continued my task that I couldn’t finish and I only had 4-5 minutes of play time with that 130 ENERGY. I study how long it takes me to use my energy AND for that being said I REFUSE TO BUY ENERGY WHEN LITERALLY EVERYTHING I DO EATS IT UP. 20 energy, 10 energy, 5 energy just to find items and even when you don’t find the item. That is UNFAIR. I give them 2 stars for being greedy for money..Version: 2.0.10

Extremely slow energy refillI guess everyone is having the same thoughts about this game i for one do not have the patience to be waitin a full 24 hours to get a decent amount of energy to actually play the game for more then 5 seconds nor am i about to waste my hard earned money on a game that i may end up deleting in the end so my advice dont download its addicting to play until you run out of energy then it just drives you mad.Version: 2.3.2

Rip offIt’s pretty ridiculous how much energy is used and how slow it’s gained. I don’t want to pay a bunch of money to play a game. If you want to make money on the game I would suggest a flat rate up front and save yourselves a lot more bad reviews for what is otherwise a pretty cool MOBILE game. Not cool enough to pay hundreds of dollars. Rather pay $80 for an incredible game like Zelda for the switch. Seriously greedy..Version: 2.3.0

Don’t playFun and interesting.👍👍👍. Never enough energy to enjoy, too many ads or $ to be exciting. Waste of time..Version: 2.3.0

Want to leave a 5 star except..I’ve been playing the game for awhile & now have been unable to leave the island it’s been stuck for a couple of weeks can’t find where to contact support about issue google has a lot of others with the same issue! Having the slow energy I can deal with watching ads I can deal with but being stuck after going this far is frustrating as all hell Please fix what has been a great game till now.Version: 2.0.8

Energy Crisis!!This game is SO good. I love the storyline, the graphics and how you can direct the game play by the responses you choose. It’s kind of like a choose your own adventure book. BUT…the energy situation in this game is horrible. I’ve never seen such a terrible system before…oh wait…yes, I have. In all of Nordcurrent’s games. They make such amazing games, but they are all impossible to play. You would think that the hundred’s of reviews they have received complaining about this same issue would make them rethink their system, but it hasn’t. Don’t you need satisfied players to be a successful game developer??? Every game that I have played by them requires an insane amount of energy to do anything, even to have a conversation. And the energy refills like a s…l…o…t…h. It takes six minutes to refill one energy point??? I’ve not played it for an entire day and still come back to an energy meter that isn’t fully refilled. I can’t understand what having such a horrible energy system does for them other than earn them A LOT of low reviews. I’ll be a player of your games if you revamp the energy systems. But until then, I’m out..Version: 2.0.9

Too many bugs and overpricedThe devs have recently introduced watching ads to earn energy. I get that this is a legitimate way for them to monetise, but the reward is very small. Watching one ad will allow you to perform maybe one action, or two if you’re lucky. Most actions would require you to watch several ads. I’ve also had a ‘discrepancy’ notice come up half the time I’ve watched ads, and the paltry reward is revoked. The IAPs are also very overpriced. Even when on special, spending $15 would get you maybe 15 minutes gameplay before your energy is gone again. Energy does regenerate on its own but is painfully slow. It takes almost an entire day to max out and is then gone in a few minutes. It’s a pity because it’s an otherwise great game. I’m not saying games should be free, but the cost here isn’t worth it..Version: 2.0.6

CakeIt ends, just like that! Nothing to say it’s finished, in what feels like you’re still in the middle of it, I couldn’t work out why I just couldn’t carry on. The game at first feels great when you start, great story, great graphics, but problems soon start appearing. A nightmare trying to get a hint, 3 minutes of adds to get one hint! Also it starts it’s blocking you saying there is a discrepancy in your game, it does this a lot. And then at the end it just finishes with no rounding off the game at all, big disappointment! I feel that if they do any follow ups it will go right downhill, that’s what happened in their other game Murder in the alps! First one brilliant! Second one not good, although it did take the trouble to finish it properly. I doubt I will start any more Nordcurrent games. I give it 2 stars purely because of the graphics and story of the first one..Version: 2.0.10

Disappointing Gameplay, Frustrating Energy SystemLike others, find the length of time it takes to get energy absolutely appalling. Played until my energy drained yesterday and on waking this morning find that I’ve not even regained half the energy?? This makes for incredibly slow, boring gameplay, so I’ll be deleting, as for the quality I certainly won’t be paying money to get more energy, especially given how much energy each action consumes. I know that you can gain more by ‘in game achievements’ but many of these are dependent on being able to continue the story, e.g. take 5 photos (this can only be done when story requires it’ or ‘make 50 choices’ each of which costs you 10-20 energy points whilst only receiving 10 energy points as a reward, not enough to even let you make another action. Very disappointed after hearing good things in other reviews..Version: 2.3.0

Fun game, but energy is a bust!I don’t normally review a game. I play a lot of them on various devices, yet I had to on this one. I really enjoy this game, however the energy consumption kills the fun of it. I understand purchasing more energy but you would end up doing it too often. Most task take took much energy. You are allotted 200 energy in 24hrs, some tasks take 50 energy’s from you and others with the full range of 50-5. However the fun stuff takes the most. Each item you pick up consumes 5 energy’s. I understand that you can skip the mini games and whatnot, but those make it fun. It changes it up and that is a key point as to why this game is great to play, if you could play it longer. I also downloaded TWO other games from your link that says, “install and run this game to get 100 energy” and didn't receive those either! Fortunately I like the other games I installed from the link but I felt taken a back by the fact I didn’t get the 200 energy for them. There sure be another way to get more game play than just five minutes. Really kills the fun in the game. 😒 Other than that, I really enjoy it!.Version: 2.0.8

Too many bugsI like the concept of the game and it definitely could be a great game but it costs way too much energy, you do like 2 things and your energy is drained. My game also keeps coming up and saying that it is out of sync and reboots which means I lose a bunch of stuff I’ve just done and I’m only playing on one device so it shouldn’t need to sync. It also crashes frequently. If these things get fixed I will definitely change my review because from what I have managed to play I enjoy it but all the other issues make the game not worth it..Version: 2.0.3

Great game, too many discrepanciesI hate writing reviews this game has been bugging for the past two months now. I’m constantly getting a notification on the app saying “we are sorry, we have found a discrepancy" whilst I’m in the middle of an advert trying to get more power ups and not only that, I have also been losing a ton of power ups whilst I am in the middle of the hidden object section and in the story time section bearing in mind I have had to spend a lot of money on getting power ups due to these “discrepancies”. I have to admit, this game is the best game I have ever played but the “discrepancies” are really starting to hit a nerve. P.s. to the creators is there anyway that I can have get something back because every time I watch an advert I have lost 20 power ups when I should have been at 60. This really needs to be sorted because in fact, this game was advertised on Murder in the Alps and I thought I would give it a try. So if there is anyway that I can be refunded in anyway please let me know, I am tired of watching ads and still not getting the correct amount of power ups. Thank you.Version: 2.0.8

Was great - til it froze !I was really enjoying this game and where the story was going until I completed a game to open the box with a red ribbon in the abandoned house. The game crashed and when I reopened nothing happens when I touch on the opened box, Reuben or basically anywhere ! I’ve been getting a lot of messages “we are sorry, we have found a discrepancy” with the game restarting and losing some of the power - very frustrating. However, it is the freezing and not being able to progress with the game which is so frustrating - I wonder if it’s due to the fact that the app has just upgraded itself today ?.Version: 2.0.9

Energy refill needs tweakedGood game to start off with because the energy is full but after that it takes way too long to refill, you’d think after not playing for a day it would refill all the way but it only gives you about 4 minutes of gameplay before it runs out because it barely recharged..Version: 2.3.3

Frustratingly GreedyI really loved this game when I first started. They give you a huge amount of energy to start with so that you can get through the first 20 minutes of the story. However, after that, this game becomes nearly impossible to play. You get one energy bar per minute, and nearly everything you do costs energy, and it costs large amounts (on average, 10-30). You want to move through the story? Energy. Every move you make on a mini game? Energy. You’ve completed the mini game and so earned your prize? Guess what, you have to spend energy to claim it. While past reviews have talked about watching ads to get more energy, that’s not even an option anymore. And guess what, when you buy energy, the game stops accruing more as time passes. In other words, you can’t buy energy to build up a store that you can then use over time. I bought the beginning energy package they offer at a discount (1,000 energy bars), it lasted me a day and a half and, as stated, energy did not continue to build over time until my energy was below 200 again. You would have to spend hundreds of dollars to make this game move at the same pace as other games. I won’t be spending another dime on this game and I highly suggest you don’t either..Version: 2.0.9

Very Long Stamina RechargeThis game is unfortunately ruined by the length of time it takes to recharge your stamina. Ughh Ughhhhhhh Ughh . Unable to watch ads to restore your stamina due to bug/error making it having to watch x5 ads to get 10 stamina to work. Mostly watching ads just causes errors on screen as the stamina doesn’t get added after watching ads. Can only restore hints by ads with no issues. They are ruining this game by trying to make people pay for the stamina or have a very long wait in watching x5 ads to only get 10 stamina in total due to errors and automatically restarting the game app. I’ve completed this game app eventually! I’m so glad to get this game done and over with! My head is fried with watching so many ads like over 200 due to them not registering and causes errors. This was not an enjoying game, this was allot of work!.Version: 2.0.8

When will it be continued waiting months nowThis is good game but I’m unimpressed by the fact it’s only half of game so it’s pointless downloading because the frustration of it stopping half way through and they still haven’t updated the next chapter months down the line is making me think that there won’t be one. So try a different game one that actually carries on and you find out who murderer is. Also the credits take ages to mount up but go very fast every time you start to do things which is also annoying but the fact that they try to sell you credits on a game that is only half created is a massive cheek I am just glad I never bought any. Would of given 5 stars if they had updated it and was able to continue playing..Version: 1.0.4

Great game, but energy and cost of interactions really let it downI downloaded this game and first off really enjoyed it. It’s engaging and isn’t repetitive with different mini games and an unfolding story line which changes depending on the choices you make. That’s where my praise ends unfortunately. I have been playing it 2 days and am now feeling both frustrated and minimal interest. Energy takes 7 minutes for 1 point, which doesn’t sound much except. Finding items costs you 5 energy per item when you have around 12 to find so a loss of 60 energy, interactions with characters costs 10 energy points per choice. Creators get even greedier with a loss of 60 energy for cut scenes and if you click in the same place a few times without actually finding an item it deducts energy then too. There are limited opportunities to collect ‘free’ energy. You can complete a collection or get an award but you will need to use up a-lot of energy to make these happen. I am someone who will pay for things in an app but I would say 2 days in, I’ve spent maybe £40 on energy but I wouldn’t even consider myself a third of the way through. Really disappointing considering it’s actually a well structured game. I understand they want to make money but this takes squeezing every penny out literally. My advice is don’t start if you 1. Don’t have the patience of a saint 2. Are not prepared to spend you life savings on energy..Version: 2.0.6

A 1.5 if I could, but cuz I appreciate the game I give 2 :)Reason I only gave it a 2 is because the same ongoing problem is still not fixed, and that common problem is the energy, you legit have to wait at least 2 days before your actually able to play it for like 10minutes, call me out if I’m wrong, but if the developers fix this, ratings would hit max, I think you should find another way to get purchases, like maybe make other chapters where players have to purchase them or something, almost like the game murder of the alps made by the same developer. Overall the developers have made an excellent game, just a few huge common flaw they really need to fix, don’t call me a hater for rating 2 because I absolutely love the game, the developers just need to listen to there players complaints..Version: 2.0.10

So many glitches, don’t bother downloading! Not only do you have to wait an entire to for all your energy to refill, which is ridiculous, it always glitches, I had just finished one of those stupid search tasks, which by the way are just useless cause you’re only looking for one thing but you have to find loads of other unrelated things as well, and the game glitched as I finished it. When it reloaded it said I had to do it again but it wasn’t giving me the option to so I couldn’t continue the game nor could I go back. I deleted the game and re-download it but it was still stuck there so I couldn’t use it at all and I was not willing to delete my account just for the same thing to happen again. The game developer seriously needs to fix these issues cause it’s just ridiculous. Don’t even bother getting the game, it’s a waste of time..Version: 2.0.8

The amount of energy need for each move is too muchI like the game and the concept but the amount of energy need to do each steps is wayyyyy too much. And the time needed to refill is way too long in my opinion… even after a full night (8h) my energy bar is not full… I want to keep playing but honestly it’s annoying, I understand that if I don’t pay for more energy I have to wait a bit longer to continue but for now you can do 2-3 steps and you are out. For almost a day.Version: 2.3.2

Please listen to your audience!!I have been playing this game for over a week and i have yet to even finish a chapter. the most i’ll play out of this game in one day is literally 5 minutes and that’s being generous. you guys keep writing that you will work on these issues for YEARS and absolutely nothing has changed. it takes over a day to refill the bar and it’s impossible to get anything done. why does opening the closet cost 20 energy? why do some events cost 50 energy even though it takes me ~5 minutes to finish it? i keep seeing in the reviews that you hold facebook contests and advertisements but aren’t actually listening to what people are saying. a majority of the younger audience might not even have facebook. this is ridiculous and i believe that something HAS to be done to improve this game or else people are going to drop it. at this rate it’ll take over a year to finish this game. it’s also ridiculous that we have to complete the entire clue part of the story even AFTER we find the object we needed for the quest. please listen to your audience and actually implement suggestions people are asking for..Version: 2.1.0

Takes forever to recharge powerI played until the power ran out, then left it nearly 16 hours to charge up so I could play again and I only had enough for 2 moves. I hate games that basically back you into a corner to pay to play. So deleted it..Version: 2.0.8

Energy barI was playing this and saw that I started with over 1000 energy, but after like 10 minutes of playing it said that I ran out of energy. I then waited for the timer that was underneath it because it only had a few seconds left, then I saw that it only gives you one every 10 minutes. The energy consumption is way too high as well, I got stuck at the part where you have to give a character an inhaler, because I kept having to come back every few hours, find like 3 items in the search, then I would run out of energy again. I know there is an option to watch an ad for 10 energy, but I don’t want to watch an ad for every single choice, and from other reviews, it doesn’t even work very well. The devs even have an auto reply bot replying the same message about “being sorry that you are disappointed about the games energy bar”. And the fact that they have an automated message for it shows that they don’t really care. If you take a few seconds to look at the other reviews, you will see this message in almost every review, it will probably be under mine too. Otherwise, the story is pretty good so far but the energy bar makes it so hard to keep playing, if you want people to play your game, make it where they can..Version: 2.0.10

Don’t waste your timeGeez I should’ve read the reviews before downloading this game. Based on the beautiful graphics, decent puzzles, good characters and storyline I was hoping the developers simply didn’t realize how terrible their energy spending and earning ratio is but that’s all the reviewers have been telling them. And apparently they don’t care! 80-90% of “play time” is spent watching ads. About 50% of the time the energy reward from the ad doesn’t load until several minutes later, and the game force reloads which does give you the missing energy, but completely rewinds your game progress and makes you re-do several actions. It takes almost 24 hours to reload a full energy bar naturally, without ads or tons of money, and you can spend the whole bar on maybe 3 activities. Then you get to watch ads for an hour and a half just to do 3 more activities. Even if you decide to pay to refill your energy you spend it in just a few and have to pay again. I don’t even want to know how much money it would take to enjoy this game at a decent pace. I love a good mystery game and am really hoping the developers fix this ridiculous energy problem soon. I’d be excited to play chapter two in that case. Also, the last several chapters reaaallly drag on, which makes this whole thing worse..Version: 2.0.10

ENERGY :(I love this game it’s so interesting but i’m still in the beginning and i feel like i spend more time waiting for my energy to refill than actually playing the game. The puzzles are fun so far and the art is beautiful but you burn through the little energy you have so quickly that it makes it impossible to keep focused on the game because you have to wait hours for your energy to fill up just to play for ten to twenty minutes a day. It’s so frustrating to me because this game is so fun i want to enjoy it. If this could be fixed then this game honestly would be 5 stars..Version: 1.0.5

Alright but needs some changesThe gameplay itself is fun but there’s two issues I’ve found with the game design. The first issue seems to be a VERY common complaint among players and that is that the available energy (which you need to be able to play) runs out VERY fast and takes forever to recharge. Not everyone has money to spend to buy energy boosters and there’s only so many collectibles and achievements you can find/complete until they’re all done. The developers need to adress this issue if they want to improve player experience and show their player base that they actually listen to what the players are talking about. The second issue I’ve come across is a visual one and that is the lightning flash effect on the start screen. It’s so sudden and bright that it’s essentially a mini flashbang. As someone with a light sensitivity problem this is a nightmare for me so I have to start the game then quickly put my phone face down and wait for the ~2 lightning flashes then quickly tap the screen to progress to the game just so I don’t end up with an assault on my eyes..Version: 2.0.9

Good game but too long for energySuch a good game, story line, graphics locations etc but the amount of time energy regenerates is it’s downfall. Every little thing takes energy which I find is such a waste even to have conversations with characters or take a photo..Version: 2.0.8

Fun BUT….I was really excited to play this game. the storyline is great, i enjoy being able to make choices, and the mystery part is awesome. However i have many problems with the game. like everyone else on here i have MAJOR problems with the energy development on this game. 24 hours after playing you don’t even have full energy. just forcing people to spend money if they want to play. the amount of energy you get does not equal the amount you need to complete the missions. even to be able to talk to people you need energy, something that is not intertwining in the least. i’m really disappointed in the development of this game and i was very excited. the responses to all the reviews are exactly the same and they have not changed a thing, don’t expect that they have. the bonus energy you get is 15 MAX which is not enough to make a a single decision, much less play the searching games. they also don’t tell you how much energy you lose when you randomly click on the pictures all together i was very excited but very disappointed by this game, all that is needed to fix it is refill the energy faster, otherwise it’s definitely not worth playing or wasting your money on. $5 gives you 200 energy which maybe lets you play for 5 minutes. stupid game.Version: 2.0.9

I want to give five starsI’m playing this game and Murder in the Alps and I thoroughly enjoy the game play! As far as story line and types of puzzles, these are currently my two favorite mobile games without question. However, the amount of energy spent that halts game play just as you’re getting into the storyline is mildly infuriating. I can understand energy spent on the mini games but having energy just disappear for having conversations with characters in the game or just moving from room to room makes the desire to play the games lessen by a lot. The creator has created games that are difficult to put down but has made it to where it would be better to go for over 24-48 hours without opening it just to have a decent experience while playing. Unless it’s money they’re after and that’s just a shame. I’d be more willing to spend real money on other areas of the games rather than on energy just to play at all..Version: 2.3.3

Disappointing experience, but had potential to be betterI am incredibly annoyed and disappointed. The story is interesting and the graphics look great. But the fact you have to use energy for EVERYTHING in this game means you can’t get very far unless you pay for more energy. There’s not even the option to watch an ad which is unusual. I don’t think you need to use energy for every single little thing in this game. Plus it takes too long to gather a decent amount of energy to move one bit further. To make things worse, the MOMENT I decide to pay a little bit for more energy, I get to the “To be continued…” moment! Why release a game if you’re not going to provide the full story??!!.Version: 1.0.6

LaurenThe game is brilliant and I’d love to play for longer but the energy doesn’t let you do that. It recharges very slowly but takes a lot when doing simple things such as selecting an answer to questions or finding a lot of things. I’ve read through reviews and most people have had the same problem. The replies have all been the same and told people they can get energy by purchasing more or by visiting websites and downloading apps but this isn’t something people should have to do to play one game. They should take peoples problems in to consideration and do something about it..Version: 2.0.9

3atarI love the game but the choices take a lot of energy and it also take energy if u guess or click a wrong object by mistake with the little middles games it’s once I hit 200 energy it’s used within five minutes because you have to constantly use energy have convos or games I just think the balance is a little off I do appreciate you can watch ads but sometimes that doesn’t even work or it doesn’t go over 200 and you can loose energy quickly I love the game animations story line and it keep you on your toes I just hate how the energy can be taken so fast and kind of expensive like some actions are 50 energies like when they do the little comic part scene I like it but it takes alot of energy but other that great game but I hope that can be fixed soon I spent like 20$ and energy was gone within 10-15 minutes that’s really my pet peeve with but agin great story I just hope they can fix that also it takes a long time to get energy like 5 minutes it one energy after 24 hrs I still can be around 150 energy that a long wait long story short it the energy for me also it sent me back to a scene I already completed but had to start over with no compensation how yiu take my energy than send me back to whole new scene I already created ..Version: 2.2.2

TiresomeIn the free version you run out of coins way too quickly. Otherwise it’s a great game.Version: 2.2.2

Decent game, ridiculous costsThe game and plot is fun. However, you can’t play for much more than 5 minutes a day, unless you purchase more energy. The “deals” offered seem okay, except that you’ll be dropping ~$10 each time you want to keep playing. The amount of energy used for each action and the refill rate is ridiculous. For instance, today I started with 200 energy, which is the max amount it will refill without additional payment. I got through finding 4 or 5 items to complete a search activity, that couldn’t be completed prior as I had run out of energy, and had a conversation with two characters in which you are forced to answer questions that expend energy. I am now at 40 and the next move in the game (simply opening a safe) will cost me 50 in energy, and it immediately advertises their deal on energy for $7 for today. The free refill rate is 1 energy every 7 minutes, so in over an hour, I could complete one more simple move in the game. I have made purchases as the game was enjoyable, but it’s really not worth it and is very clear that the developers are incredibly greedy, as says many other reviews I saw. They are completely correct..Version: 2.2.2

Amazing graphics but awful energy spawningThis is probably the best game I’ve played on iOS when it comes to graphics and game play, but you HAVE to come up with another way of energy spawning. It makes the game experience absolutely awful! I had to wait 2 days for the energy bar to recharge. I understand that you are trying to get people to purchase energy etc, but I’d much rather pay for the game than wait for energy bar to charge or being charged £2 for 400 energy which in inevitably going to get used up from one hidden object scene. Please rethink your energy spawning strategy when it comes to your games, otherwise you’re going to continue receiving bad reviews (in general). This is probably the only game I will play which is really sad because I love the graphics :(.Version: 1.0.2

Not enough energyDon’t play this if you dont want to pay lots of money for energy. To play for free is almost impossible..Version: 2.2.2

Disappointing game with such potentialI downloaded this game without looking at the reviews first! Big mistake. Like many other reviewers, I feel this game has too many downsides. The premise of the game is interesting, the puzzles are challenging enough to be fun and keep you engaged, the graphics are good and the hidden object games stretch you. However, after spending money on buying an energy refill only to discover it barely bought me much game time at all, I feel so disappointed. I tried downloading another game recommended by the developers, which was supposed to give me 100 free energy points, but my device didn’t have enough storage room for this. I finally got to the next step after waiting overnight for the energy meter to refill, only to discover that the hidden objects game would only let me find 1 or 2 objects before telling me I was out of energy yet AGAIN!!! I was really enjoying this game until the energy meter level became such an issue. Even with the best will and patience in the world, this game is not worth all the dramas..Version: 2.0.8

Predatory payment systemHey. Don’t play this game unless you’re prepared to give them a lot of money. The game and the payment system is manipulative and predatory. Graphics are beautiful and the story is very engaging and well done. This draws you in, but the rate at which you gain free energy to continue the storyline is insulting. For example, the next step in my story requires 50 energy to interact with, but I’m out. It takes 7 minutes for 1 energy to restore. So, I can click that object in 5.8 hours…. How much game play will those 50 energy points gain me? Probably 30 seconds of dialogue. You will be very tempted to buy energy. Imagine Netflix shut off your show half way through an episode and asked you to wait 5.8 hours to see 30 more seconds of what happens next, or pay $35 for another 3 hours! I have bought a few energy packages now. Let’s look at one pack, which costs $35 and gives about 4000 energy, like 2-3 hours of play. If I had waited for all that energy for free, it would have taken 19.45 days. So in 19 days of playing perfectly (logging on regularly so your energy bar doesn’t completely fill) you would get a total of (let’s be generous) 4 hours of play. Maybe 20 minutes per day, probably split up into 2 minute blocks. Does that sound like fun? It’s not, it’s inconvenient and hard to follow the trail of the story. You will go to sleep for 8 hours, wake up and you’ve gained only 68 energy. You literally will use that in 5 minutes. It’s toxic and manipulative. The game is long, I’ve dropped over $200 and it’s still going. I wish I hadn’t started now. Save yourselves folks, step away from this game, unless you want to pay them through the nose. Also, the server is constantly going down. It gives me an error and disconnects regularly. I have to restart the game probably half a dozen times a day. So not only am I paying them an exorbitant cost for this game, I get crap service. I’m guessing they put most of their budget into building the beautiful graphics which draw in users, and not enough on robust infrastructure..Version: 2.0.8

Could be greatLike nearly every other reviewer says, this game is fun, the story and graphics are wonderful but the energy system ruins it. I dropped Murder in the Alps for the same reason. I hoped this game would be more reasonable but it is just as bad. I am totally willing to spend money to play a game but there has to be a decent return on my investment in the form of game play. I bought over 700 energy and it lasted, maybe, 20 minutes. The developers give the same response to all the negative feedback about the energy usage. I checked out the Facebook page and there are random ways to win energy but they are just lucky guesses and a few people win. Looks like a chance every week or two. And to suggest using collectibles or achievements as a way to get energy is ridiculous. Most give about 10 energy, enough to find two objects. But there must be people willing to pay big bucks to enjoy this game for more than a few minutes because clearly the developers have no interest in changing the workings of it. I suspect I will move into something else shortly because I am not going to pay $20 to play for an hour or so..Version: 2.0.8

EloGame is trash, you have to wait hours for your energy to refill, and even then you only have enough energy to do one or two tasks. Like 2-3 minutes of gameplay then you have to wait 4-5 hours till it’s somewhat playable..Version: 2.2.2

Fun but so slowOne energy point takes six minutes and everything you do costs energy. I enjoy the puzzles within puzzles, but it’s kind of absurd that I can sleep a full night and come back to my energy still refilling..Version: 2.3.0

Fun adsYou can either buy energy or watch ads. The games not interesting enough to buy energy, but at least the ads are entertaining. Be prepared to watch a lot of them, and not get points every time..Version: 2.3.3

It’s good, but one thing makes NO senseEdit: the developers said the same thing as they did on my airplane chefs review. “go check out our facebook for giveaways and contests.” I will say it again, I simply want to be able to watch ads for energy past 200 energy. That’s it, be able to watch ads beyond the energy capacity like murder in the alps, or maybe make an in app purchase so you no longer use energy, kind of like buying the game. I would GLADLy buy that. If you previously played Murder in the Alps, that game has a WAY lower energy balance rate. If you compare the two, you spend way kore energy doing things in this game. What IRKS me is why we can’t watch video ads ON TOP OF 200 ENERGY. We can in Murder in the Alps, im sitting at 1000 energy and i STILL can watch videos. As soon as i watch an ad that makes me reach 200 energy, im no longer able to watch ads to stack in Murder By Choice. I will NOT spend money on this game, as murder in the alps proved i can support the game by watching tons of ads. If there’s an option to take time out of my day to watch hundreds of ads a week, please take away the limit to ads in murder by choice. I feel like I play for 4 minutes, then boom I’m out of energy. I like to play more than that, so I have to watch 20 ads to refill, then again and again. I want to watch tons of ads to get a good stock and play at a minimum of 30 minutes! Also please please add chapter 2!.Version: 2.3.1

Why would you ruin an otherwise great game?I cannot for the life of me understand why you would put the time, effort and funds into developing an otherwise excellent game just to go and make it practically unplayable by having the energy recharging so ridiculously slowly. In every other game I have that works on this energy recharging system, it takes on average 3 hours or so for your energy to refill again. In this game it takes days! I play 5 minutes, wait 16 hours and then my energy is only full enough for another 3 minutes - it’s so frustrating and such a shame. Don’t bother replying telling me I can earn extra energy through in game achievements or competitions because those achievements are rare and only give you enough to tap TWICE. Please fix this, it’s such a great game other than this one issue ruining everything else that’s so good about it..Version: 2.0.9

Great game but awful for playingThe game is great, but u loose energy so fast you can even get through a scene without waiting for more! max energy is 200 and you can go through that in less than 5 minutes!! it’s crazy i don’t know who thought it would be a good idea. i truly do like the game, but i can only play this once a day with how fast you lose energy and how slow it takes to regenerate. makes me very mad and honestly if i knew this before i wouldn’t play it, but now i’m interested in the whole story! very disappointed:/.Version: 2.0.6

Need to be able to find energy from somewhereThis game is really immersive and then all of a sudden, BOOM!! you run out of energy and unless you’re willing to pay £2.50 EVERY time, be prepared to wait DAYS for your energy to fill up! it’s an incredible shame because, as i said, really immersive but i don’t wanna pay £2.50 every single time i run out of energy, there needs to be a way to regain energy by maybe going around the areas and tapping certain objects like they do in the Harry Potter game or just some way of making it easier to regain energy WITHOUT having to pay coz it soon stacks up and gets costly! sort it out!.Version: 1.0.6

Good game bad energyThe game itself is thrilling and pulls you in but like all the other reviews my complaint is the energy. Y’all require a ridiculous amount of energy for every task and even tho y’all have a crazy amount of people with the same issues y’all just keep blowing everyone off saying to watch the video for energy (which only lets you do one task if you’re even actually rewarded the energy after the video) or tell them to enter your contests on Facebook (even tho not everyone has social media). Y’all make people wait a whole 24 hours for the energy bar to reload and then can’t even complete one whole task before they’ve run out of energy again which makes it not even worth putting the money y’all are clearly trying to force on everyone into the game cuz we still wouldn’t be able to play very long before we’d have to buy more. Y’all need more ways to earn energy and lower the amount of energy every action takes or y’all aren’t ever gonna keep any players.Version: 2.0.10

Like the game butI like the game, liked the graphics and the story, and the mini games but you went through so much power so quickly, then you had to pay for more if you wanted to play longer. Which is to bad, I played the game to the end but I found it very frustrating because you go through the power before you feel you’ve even started. Find the way for players to get more power so they can play longer without spending a lot of money. Wheelsitter.Version: 2.3.0

Energy IssuesSeriously, it’s been addressed several times (and probably even more than I’ve bothered to look at) but the speed in which energy energy is depleted VS how quickly it comes back is actually ridiculous. Like many, especially these days, I can’t afford to spend so much money on enough energy to get even 10 full minutes of game play. And there comes a point where saying “join our comps or complete gameplay” isn’t a suitable answer. For starters, I don’t have the energy to play the game to earn more energy?? And also… maybe it’s time to just reduce how much energy is needed just to search for stuff, let alone everything else to actually make people wanna play? It’s a constant criticism and you’re not actually addressing it. If it’s not something that you’re gonna fix, I’m gonna delete the game because, as much as it’s fun, it’s just disappointing..Version: 2.1.0

Could have been great, but chooses to be frustrating insteadThis is the most tiresome/tedious interface for an adventure game I have ever experienced. The energy costs are ridiculous to begin with- it takes over an hour to save up enough energy to ask a single question. You can earn extra energy by watching an ad (if one is available to watch). In theory, you can receive 10 energy for watching a 30-second ad. In reality, watching the ad may or may not award you any energy. If you *do* receive the energy, there is at least a 50% chance that after you spend it, the game will randomly claim “a discrepancy was found” and roll itself back to before the energy was awarded. In which case you no longer have the energy you earned AND once you re-acquire enough energy you will have to REDO the same painstakingly slow tasks all over again. Huge, frustrating waste of time and I would absolutely never pay a single penny towards such a crappy set-up (although I do pay on games that are well-designed and demonstrate that they value their players)..Version: 2.0.8

Super Glitchy and Too ExpensiveI really love the idea of this game and the graphics are incredible BUT the gameplay is way too glitchy. Every single action costs a lot of energy and then the game will glitch out and cause you to replay the same expensive scene. It gets incredibly frustrating especially if you’ve purchased energy just for it to be wasted on a mind numbing conversation repeating itself. I could put up with the irritating glitches if the game weren’t so expensive. I’d rather pay for the game outright rather than burning through 250 energy in 5 minutes. Also, the ads for free energy don’t work 90% of the time. So you’ll sit through 30 seconds of your life that you’ll never get back and receive 0 energy points for it. Good news though, when you get so fed up of the constant glitches in this game that you stop playing for a long time, you’ll be rewarded with enough energy points to play for a solid 8 minutes. There are games out there with less sexy graphics but better game play. Shame, I used to love nordcurrent games but this one is a money grabbing glitching machine..Version: 2.0.10

Don’t waste your timeThe energy renewal is too slow and the usage is too high. You’d think the developer would have listened to all the feedback by now, but clearly not..Version: 2.3.1

Same as others, waiting far too long for energyI don’t understand why on earth there isn’t more energy made available. Great game so far but now I am out of energy it’s going to be ages, literally hours, before I have enough to be able to progress any further in the game. I am not getting a watch advert option to get more energy. There doesn’t appear to be any in-game / mini-game option to win energy. I won’t be paying the amount they are asking for what will turn in to a very short period of game play. I will pick a different game and quit this one. Should have read the dozens of other reviews with this feedback before I downloaded. Never mind..Version: 2.1.0

Fun, but not worth itI’ve grown increasingly frustrated with this game. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay and don’t mind paying occasionally to continue, but it’s excessive. There’s been multiple occasions in which I’ve opened the game after HOURS and still haven’t had enough energy to do a single thing. I’ve paid money, found hidden objects, and completed achievements and still can’t play for more than a few minutes before I have to wait for my energy to restore. I’ve also tried to download the developers other games to get 100 energy as promised, but that has never worked either. It’s ridiculous that it takes 7 minutes for a single energy, while the least any action requires is 5. That means we have to wait 35 minutes to find a single object in a hidden object game, out of probably ~15 objects. I’ve even tried watching the ad videos, but after nearly every other video I get an error saying “discrepancy in game progress” that sends me back a few minutes and takes back all of the energy I’d earned from videos. This has happened countless times and makes the game all the more frustrating. Either the time to get energy needs to decrease or the energy required for tasks needs to decrease. This game is fun, but it’s not worth it anymore..Version: 2.0.9

Don’t bother downloadingThe game itself is really good but not worth playing for 2mins a day, which is a joke. Please dont reply with you can collect this or enter competitions with an FB link. There are multiple games with better energy out there although the graphics arent as good as this but would rather enjoys those than waste time with this one..Version: 2.2.2

Never enough energyThe graphics and story are great but even breathing in this game takes energy. Every action, every interaction, every choice, every turn takes out huge chunks of energy and you have to look for hidden objects too often. You’ll get tired of watching videos or paying, either way it made me lose interest pretty fast..Version: 2.0.10

Could be a fun game…But it’s ruined by having to use too much energy for menial tasks. I gave up after a few days (having spent money, as well as watching heaps of ads) as it just became tedious. Having an option to buy the game outright would make it way more playable..Version: 2.0.9

The energy issue is beyond frustratingDon't download this game. The game itself is fun, but unless you buy energy, you will only ever be able to do a couple of things a day, so you never really progress. Each action costs a fortune, but energy takes over five minutes to refresh, one at a time. It takes 24 hours to fully refresh. If the developers addressed this issue (perhaps by making either actions cheaper, or even better, energy refreshing faster), the game would be enjoyable. Apparently you can join competitions on Facebook to win energy, but I haven't seen a live one yet..Version: 2.0.10

I’ve run out of energy to continue playing…As all other reviews have said already- it’s fundamentally a good game, but you can’t get a good run at playing it for literally more than two minutes gameplay before your energy depletes. I’ve watched hundreds of videos, not all of them convert to new energy points. I refuse to buy more. You can’t even move rooms without losing energy sometimes.. yes you can get achievements to boost supplies, but these are very few and far between. I’ve gotten so far in the game, I’d like to see it through but it’s draining my own energy attempting to play it. Away to delete it as it’s not worth the time. Or the energy..Version: 2.0.10

Takes too long to get energyIt’s a good game, wish I could have the patience to play. It takes forever to get energy and you can’t do anything without it. You can’t binge play. Frustrating..Version: 2.3.3

3 videos for a single hint?Nordcurrent created my favorite time management cooking game (Cooking Fever). I have played it every day for years - and I try to buy things to help the developers. And I enjoy this game. But, do not expect to get more than 5 mins of game time a day. That’s fine. The story is good and the search games are good. BUT, occasionally you need a hint. It requires THREE videos to get a single hint if you get stuck on a search. I don’t need them often, but it makes me irate when I have to get a hint. I know they are money makers for the developer, but it is a giant turn-off. I feel like they make some searches impossible , just to force the player to watch so so many ads. Also, I don’t spend money on this game - it costs so much actual money just to get one or two more mins of game time. The cost to enjoyment ratio is off. I will buy things for games I love to support the platform. But, it doesn’t make sense in this game. They need their Cooking Fever psychology analyst on this game if they want to capture players like me..Version: 2.0.10

Energy not worth the moneyGame play & graphics are good, but it’s offensive how quickly energy runs out. Have already spent more than I would for the full version of other great games, am not close to finishing, and am deleting so I’m not tempted to waste any more money..Version: 2.3.2

Connection errorI enjoy this game very much and been playing for couple weeks now, but starting from three days ago every 5 mins into the game there would be a reminder warning me that there's been a connection error and ask me to try again later, this always leads to restarting the game, also mussing my progress and the energy which is REALLY discouraging I hope you guys can address this issue and perfect the gaming experience.Version: 3.0.0

Wish the developers would listen to the energy complaintsWith all of the same feedback on the Murder in the Alps game, I was disappointed to see this has the exact same design flaw. Can’t even play the game for 10 minutes in a day because of the energy metre. Completely understand that the developer needs to take opportunities to make money - however this is just too much. I would be more likely to pay money if I am enjoying a game and want to continue it. The energy metre running out so quickly is just annoying and makes me not want to pay money. These are both great games. I wonder if the developer would ever consider launching them off a platform like Steam for a fixed price, eradicating any need for the energy meter or in-game purchases. The quality of the games could be worth it - and wouldn’t be lost on players who are distracted by the frustration of not being able to get through a full conversation or object puzzle before the energy metre runs out..Version: 2.0.3

Not worth itGood storyline but takes way too long to recharge energy… I went to sleep for eight hours and my energy still wasn’t full. The only way you can get more is by buying it. Sellout..Version: 2.0.3

Murder by ChoiceThe graphics are very well done and the game may be enjoyable if you could play longer than a few minutes. The energy used is not in balance with the regeneration..Version: 2.2.2

I have a suggestionInstead of trying to have me buy energy and me spending two days for my energy to refill just for it to run out to quickly, how about you give us 200 energy daily or have the time for energy be a 1 min( also why do the game take so much energy away that doesn’t make sense)and everything shouldn’t cost energy like when I’m trying to find things or when I’m talking to people(I should not have 200 hundred energy and then have 8 at the end when I only played it for 30 seconds) but I do like the animation and the voice acting. The same with hints too. One more thing before I go, I hate that the time is 7 mins because then I have to wait at least an hour or more for it to refresh. UPDATE: so I just read the rest of the reviews and realized I should delete the game. every single one of the reviews are saying that the creators of the game are greedy and idk if any other games look at their reviews and actually help but the game only responses are not helpful at all..Version: 2.0.9

Energy + rollbackI really like that the game doesn’t force ads and lets people opt in or out of them. But I’ve had the same complaints about energy as everyone else. Together, I’ve tried to use the feature of watching an ad and getting 10 energy. I think that’s a great idea. But if I watch an ad, there’s an about 50% chance that a “discrepancy” will be found and “a rollback [will be] issued” which deletes the energy received from watching the ad. At that point the options are to purchase energy, rewatch the ad, or close the game. I sometimes rewatch the ad but this bug really kills the enjoyment of the game and discourages me from trying the ad exchange or a regular purchase in the future. When another nordcurrent game, Happy Clinic, has an issue fulfilling an ad-related reward, it puts up a notice that the reward will be delivered later, and then it actually is. This would help and be a good middle ground from where the game is now and actually improving the energy system. I will say that if I could complete more than two tasks per day, whether that be from decreased energy cost or increased regeneration, I really doubt i’d encounter this issue as much or be as frustrated by it. Thanks for enticing games, have a nice day UPDATE: I left the game fully closed for more than 24 hours and came back to 160 energy. That was enough to finish the task I’d started before I set it down and do one other thing..Version: 2.0.6

Overall DisappointmentFirst let me start with the fact that I’ve been waiting for well over a year for the next chapter to begin. I gave up checking regularly because it turned out just to be a waste of my time, so I started checking back every month or so. Imagine my excitement when I found out there was a huge update, only to be let down by the fact that it wasn’t the update I was waiting for but instead a new random feature to the game called ‘Memories’ that is full of bugs. Memories is okay in theory. It gives the player something else to do besides searching for collectables while waiting for the next chapter to be released, but the gameplay is extremely limited. It starts out by giving you 5 tickets to play with, but once your tickets are spent, it’s a 24 hour wait to get one single ticket—you can spend energy to continue playing, but because I have accumulated & saved 2000 energy, I don’t want to waste it all on a side game. My other problem is that I lost several tickets because the game kept crashing the first day I played Memories. I initially didn’t think much of it because I was getting extra tickets for levelling up and also thought the game would replenish those lost tickets, until I realized that wasn’t the case. Losing 5+ tickets really sucks when you are only given a single solitary ticket replenishment per day. Overall, it’s a good game until you complete the main chapter, but then you’re left with a buggy waste of time on top of an obscenely long wait for the advertised next chapter. I’ll update my rating if anything changes but until then, it’s a well deserved 2 stars. ⭐️⭐️.Version: 3.0.1

Will stop playing this game due to lack of energyThis game would be rated a 5/5. However the fact your energy runs out so fast you can’t even get into a rhythm and enjoy playing it. It’s so bad that I had to come to the reviews to check and it’s exactly the same everyone complaining about lack of energy. I woke up and played it for about less than 5 minutes and my energy had already ran out. I’m not one to purchase energy the amount u would need to purchase anyway would be ridiculous as it constantly runs out over conversations and everything basically. I really liked this game but I’m going to end up not playing it anymore as it’s frustrating stopping every 5 minutes because of this issue..Version: 2.0.10

Great story but energy ratios are way offI spent money on this game today, and bought 1000 energy since I was really enjoying the story. Figured that would last awhile and wanted to support the game. It didn’t last long at all! Everything takes 5-30 energy. Every click, every swipe. I understand entering a new room would cost, or something harder but everything?! Just had 30 to enter room, 20 to go to the area, 15 to pick up the item. Now I need 20 to go back to the area to use it. And that’s not hints or anything, that’s to play. It makes it unusable to play. Totally understand the concept of energy and wanting people to spend or wait to refill, but need a better balance to keep players engaged. Chance to win energy with mini game? Nit charging 5 different times for 1 little task, etc. Otherwise I would definitely rate 5 stars on the story and visual. Hope you will consider adjusting time, I would definitely be willing to spend money again and change rating to 5 stars, but not as is..Version: 2.0.3

Disappointed in the energyI would love to give 5 stars, but the constant running out of energy and waiting so long for it to refill is really annoying. To the point where I can’t be bothered playing the game. I know there are ways in the game to get more energy but it’s honestly not enough. Other than that, it’s has the potential to be an excellent game..Version: 2.0.10

The energy ruins the game.Every review on here is literally about the same issue with the game, the energy. It takes ridiculous amounts of energy for such small amounts of the gameplay. It really lets it down. What makes it worse is the developers replied to someone who wasn’t happy with the recharge time with no offer for resolve, considering it literally being 48 hours, understandably, it’s stupid. Cause it tries to make you pay for energy. What’s amusing me is that I would happily pay a subscription fee in order to be able to play without having to wait constantly as I really enjoy the story and the graphics, gosh, i’d even pay £4-6 for the whole game itself just to play it with no issues with energy. It’s just a huge letdown when the owners try to say “yeah, the energy gradually recharges overtime” yet they aren’t acknowledging how they’re destroying a good game by making players wait 48 hours for a full recharge. it seems like such a waste of the wonderful voice actors and graphics’s teams time because i no longer want to finish the game unless there’s a resolve with the energy..Version: 2.0.8

DisappointingI think this is a clever and well structured game. But it suffers from difficulties with how it’s been marketed. I would happily pay a set fee of £4-5 to just play it through. The way it’s been set up, I can play for ten minutes at most, often less, before having to pay. Then it’s 48 hours before I can come back to full energy. Ridiculously priced for energy, so I won’t do that, I have paid once, but seeing how little gameplay that buys I won’t repeat it. It’s not a game I feel invested in for these reasons. I think the developer is talented and I love the concept, and the creativity, but I’m sad it’s set up this way. Looking at the other games in the portfolio of the provider, I wonder if the developer would have been better with another provider. This game is class and the others are really not..Version: 1.0.7

Energy woesI would really love this game were it not for the issue with energy. I know that I’m likely to get the generic response from the developer about it, but I wanted to flag it up as other reviewers have also done. I came back about 24 hours after running out of energy for the first time and it was barely half recharged. I got to play a couple of minutes and ran out of energy again. The energy needs balancing out to make this game truly playable. Either it needs to regenerate more quickly (it should not take over a full day to recharge anyway) or tasks should not cost as much energy to complete. Without this, it’s essentially a pay to play game..Version: 2.3.3

Nice game, but sooo slow to playThis is a lovely game. Hidden object scenes within the story of a whodunnit, with beautiful graphics. The downside, as other reviewers have pointed out, is that the whole energy balance is out of whack, so the developers can try to get a few bucks out of you. Of course, anyone with half a brain can see that spending money on energy is not actually going to get you very far, because what you buy will be used up so quickly. So you just plod along. The upside is that the game takes several weeks to play through, giving you time to enjoy it (if you can get past the frustration of not being able to do much on any one day)..Version: 2.0.10

To much energyI really enjoy both games I play created by Nordcurrent. Was excited to download and play this new game as love Murder In The Alps, but am very disappointed that so much Energy is used interacting with characters. Also like others I find it can take ages to pass a mini-game as there’s glitch and the game shuts down then have to start interaction again resulting in more energy being taken to get to where I was before the game closes or restarts that scene. It’s really frustrating. Makers never had this in Murder In The Alps, am confused as to why they have added this feature. I feel this could have had a 5* rating but for me I’ve given it 3..Version: 2.0.8

Okay but energy isn’t goodI love this game and the concept of it but the energy just lets it down I don’t know any hidden object game where you use energy during the hidden object game per item you have to find. It takes too long to regenerate too, I didn’t go on it all night and overnight it’s still not gave me full energy. Loads of other reviews like this but developers aren’t taking note or listening to the customers, just saying you can get free energy through achievements which is true but you actually have to play the game in order to achieve them and so far I’ve had very little game play as things take up too much energy. We don’t want to play contests for energy we just want it to speed up a little. It’s a more pay to play game, if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a game don’t bother cus you’ll be spending loads on this game..Version: 2.0.6

Takes too long to chargeStarted off fun. Takes far to long to recharge your power. Need 30 points to see 1 scene. Recharges around 8 points an hour. Deleted it because of this..Version: 2.0.8

Energy is the issueIn this and nordcurrents other game murder are n the alps energy takes so long to refill you only get to play a few minutes a day. They are good games but it uses energy to progress conversations and cut scenes so it leaves with little energy to progress the game..Version: 2.2.2

Great Storyline, Expensive Energy CostI really like the storyline of this game. It’s really cool! I also like how you don’t constantly get ads. I actually have never had an ad in the game. On the other hand though, I can barely do a few tasks without running out of energy. And the achievements do help a little but not too much. The cost affects regular gameplay, but it also affects the usage of achievement energy. How am I supposed to use the energy for extra things ON TOP of what I already have to do if the cost of tasks is so expensive? The tasks drain the energy. The “cost” to perform simple tasks such as finding a hidden item (5 energy) is incredibly expensive. I’m also disappointed in the response to the amount of people who are reporting about this. The developer’s are replying the same to anyone who says anything about this. If you’re looking for a game that has a really good storyline and cool concept (but you’re patient enough to wait two days to perform three tasks), then this is a great option for you! But if you’re like me and want to rip your hair out because you can barely get anything done without something popping up saying “You don’t have enough energy to perform this action!”, then this game is definitely not the one for you. :).Version: 2.0.10

Greedy Nordcurrent. Again!I bought in app purchase, used them, then requested refund (uk people are entitled to refund within 14 days) I was so appalled that my £4.99 purchase literally gave me 1 hour of play, and only other option was to wait days to refill to play another 30 mins or purchase more energy in store that I just got the refund. As I don’t think nordcurrent are deserving of it, for being so greedy. It’s a shame because it’s a great game so far, and I I would happily pay something like £10 one off to play the game to the end with no more payment, but I realised that to complete this game you will end up needing to spend near £100 or more. It’s just not worth it. Same thing with their others games too like happy clinic. I recommend their competitors version called Crazy Hospital instead, much better performance and don’t beg you for money anywhere near as much as nordcurrent do..Version: 2.0.9

UpdateWhen will there be an update? Been waiting months and months for it. Why post it if it's Going to be so long?.Version: 2.3.2

Fun but annoying to playEverything costs SO much energy and it takes a long time to refill. I just deleted it because it’s not worth playing for such short periods that are so spaced out.Version: 2.3.3

Ruined by energyEnergy runs out quickly and recharges slower than a snail. Previous replies from developers suggest ‘collectables’ and achievements, however these give you a minimal amount of energy to continue, and often require energy to complete. I am also surprised that given the amount of reviews noting this as a problem, that it doesn’t appear to have been amended as yet. Unfortunately, I will be deleting this app..Version: 2.2.2

Sooooo disappointed...Firstly this would have been 5 stars were it not for the ISSUE WITH ENERGY regeneration. It’s just too slow. You get 1 energy point regenerated per 5 minutes but it takes 5 energy points every time you find an item (yes item rather than an energy cost per game which would make more sense). Makes it impossible to finish a game in one sitting and you have to wait far to long for there to be enough energy to carry on. You can of course buy energy, but again it’s a problem as you only get 500 energy points per £5. Which won’t last two seconds in a game. I have also learned from another’s review that this is also not a full game. Glad I found this out before to getting too invested in the story. Just really disappointing. Shame, as on the face of it the rest of the gameplay and narrative was really good.... thought I’d found my next game...please rethink the energy!!.Version: 1.0.6

Cool game with really bad play creditsThe game is really cool and I quickly got into the story and gameplay but the whole energy thing is just a bit much and IMO, dumb the way it is now. For one, it takes WAY too much energy to do given tasks when you compare how much you can make by watching an ad (which is not a whole lot). Most games on the App Store can be played for free with ads and other opportunities to make free credits but this one quickly becomes unplayable unless you want to purchase big amounts of energy/play credits. This happened pretty quickly and certainly a lot sooner than I was ready to decide whether I wanted to spend the money to play. What made me decide not to buy any energy is due to the ridiculous amount of energy expended to do even the smallest tasks. It’s just too much taken for too little and way too soon for me to want to take the jump to paying for the credits. I hope they change all this because the concept is really cool and maybe I would pay some $ if the amount of energy used was more reasonable..Version: 2.0.10

Eh.. fun gameplay but energy runs out quicklyThe gameplay is quite fun, an issue that bothers me the most is it take FOREVER to do anything, hidden mystery games take 5 energy’s for every item you need to find and conversation with other people is 10 energy every reply, it’s ridiculous you get about 10 minutes not even to play before you either have to buy more or wait And before the developer comments, the in game rewards aren’t good enough to outweigh your greediness in regards to the prices of energy’s and clues.. I get that you have to make money but 3500 energy for $40?? Come off it.Version: 2.2.2

Needs constant points = moneyThis looks like it could be a reasonable good game, but it constantly needs more points to play. To get points, you either have to wait until they build up or buy them. I went through 50 points in about 1 minute! The game doesn’t give you the option of buying it outright. Buying by points means you spend much more on the game or put up with annoying delays. Just greedy. I’ve deleted it and won’t go with Nordcurrent games again.Version: 2.0.9

Has potentialI’ve just started playing the game and I’m already considering deleting it because as many others have stated....the energy given is not enough. So you’re given 200 energy points and every actions take 30-50 points makes game time like 10mins. Not only that but to completely refill energy takes 2 DAYS!!!!!!! Buying energy is just not worth the price. The story is interesting and the game has a lot of potential but when game time is reduced to 10mins every 2 days....one loses interest and patience very quickly..Version: 1.0.5

Fantastic game but way too priceyOne of the best hidden object games out there. It incorporates various types of challenges, with beatifully illustrated cut-scenes in comic style. But, to continue playing, one needs to constantly replenish one’s energy, which drains very quickly. I have figured that, to be able to play to the end, the continuous energy purchases are going to work out very expensive. I wish the game, like so many others nowadays, can be purchased once-off and then its yours to play forever..Version: 2.0.10

Don’t even start this game unless you’re richThe story is quite good but the amount of free energy you get for gameplay is ridiculous. Such a poor user experience, didn’t the developers test what it’s like to play this. It’s not like the story is so exciting and compelling that you can’t put it down. I don’t want to play any game for only 5 minutes a day unless I buy extortionately priced energy packs which also last for no time at all. Why do actions use so much energy? I’ve played other nordcurrent games and they are actually quite fair in terms of the balance between free game play, watching advert too ups and paid for items, in fact that’s why I gave this one a go. I don’t know why this game is such a utter fail but it’s just ridiculously bad. My advice is don’t start it unless you like paying £10 for every 20 mins of gameplay. As for the developers My advice is to sort it out..Version: 2.0.9

Excellent game, ridiculous timingI never write reviews about any app but this one is needed. The story line is great so far and I got the game yesterday and I am enjoying every part of it, but the biggest downfall is the timing for refills of energy and the amount it takes to simply move around the map and every thing you find when searching for things. To be perfectly honest it feels like it’s trying to force me to spend money and that’s a big let down considering the game story is brilliant. I left the game for 24 hours and came back to 175 power to do one thing and it drop down to 11 and get stuck again. Really disappointing to be honest.Version: 2.0.8

Energy disappears too quickFrom other reviews I get the energy is used up very quickly but I had no idea how quick. Even if you purchase energy, it is used when doing a puzzle each time you find an object and you might have 15 objects to find which uses all your energy. This is just greed on the developers part. I like the game but I would need to buy energy every day to move forward at least 20 minutes in the game. If you want to spend lots then keep playing. And the stock standard answer from developers about the energy doesn’t work either. I watched two ads for one point of energy. ☹️.Version: 2.0.10

No energyThe game itself is great however energy gets used up so quickly and takes so long to build back up. Energy gets used to talk to people, to complete actions, it gets used for every item you find in the mystery item locations so sometime you can’t even find all the items before running out of energy. Using a little energy to start the “find the items” would be fine but not every item during that search. I hope this improves soon as I’m really enjoying the game..Version: 2.0.8

Why, energy, why? !MY HONEST OPINION!In my honest opinion, this game should get 5 starts - if it wasn’t for the game-ruining energy. I don’t spend any money as I don’t have any on my phone, so the amount of time you have to wait just to get more energy is ridiculous. And the actions are so expensive. Like, 20 energy just to pick up 1 ITEM? This game has great potential and could make loads of money IF ONLY WE DIDNT HAVE TO SPEND I BAJILLION ENERGY JUST FOR IT TO GET YOU NOWHERE. But apart from that, it’s a great game and I love playing it. The graphics are absolutely amazing and the tension built up leaves me on the edge of my seat (literally!) and I love the game, but the energy definitely ruins the vibe and makes the game so much less enjoyable..Version: 2.2.2

Graphics and story fantastic, energy utterly ridiculous!I'm just throwing my tuppenceworth in to echo the sentiments of countless previous reviewers. The game is challenging but not impossible. Graphics are lovely and the story is interesting, but the money grab by developers is shameful. I wouldn't mind paying a fixed fee for the entire game, and would probably be more inclined to buy energy if I felt the offers were value for money, but they're just not. Out of curiosity I purchased one of the Halloween offers, which was £3.99 or so for 500 energy. Many of the actions need 40 or so, meaning the purchased energy gave me maybe another five or ten minutes of play. And I won't even entertain their cost for hints! Over £5 for SIX hints! Even if you want to watch a video to earn a hint, you actually need to watch THREE videos! Watching their adverts takes more time than you get to play the game. I know that the developers of this game have no interest in fixing this, but I cannot begin to understand their logic. Setting a fee to access the whole game would draw far better reviews, and therefore more subscribers. These devs are also not alone in this kind of extortionate pricing, but it seems so short sighted. I'd much rather take £8 or so from 1000 people and leave them feeling like they'd got value for money, than 1000 people scrabbling to pay through the nose for a paltry few energy. Speculate to accumulate seems to be a foreign concept for these games. Such a shame..Version: 2.3.2

Honest review! DEVELOPERS IM CALLING FOR YOUThis game is very well put together with an immersive storyline and a variety of exciting quests and challenges. The game offers players opportunities to explore a variety of different interactive conversation options and searching for missing objects while revealing hidden secrets to try and uncover the murderer. The storyline and gameplay are top notch making it such an addictive game. HOWEVER, the games concept of energy use is a major flaw. Players are given an initial amount of energy that is required to participate in different activities in the game. Once a player runs out of energy, they must either wait a certain amount of time for it to recharge or options to earn more energy by completing challenges, but the amount given is often not enough for a substantial amount of gameplay. I myself have gone to purchase more energy to see if it was worth it. Unsurprisingly it wasn’t. Which is so disappointing because this game has so much potential! Please developers do something about it I beg..Version: 2.1.0

Its good but unenjoyableThe game, graphics, story, voice overs are great, really. Its just unenjoyable because they want you to spend money on energy or watch an advert to get 10 energy which most of the time isn't enough to get you further by one action. The energy is SO slow to regenerate and everything you do requires a large amount of energy, so you get 5 minutes game time before you have to stop. Its just ruined it for me, I’ve got to the point of considering uninstalling. The product owner should take a step back and look at their product and ask whether its actually enjoyable or not, as a software developer myself, i wouldn't be proud of all the effort of design and programming being overshadowed by a poor profit strategy..Version: 2.3.3

Short of hint rechargeGame is good but some things to make the game progress faster would need to be tweaked such as energy refilling. Taking a 24hrs just to recharge the energy level is insane and quite difficult to do when you have the option to purchase it just for energy from shop. There should be some rewards of sorts to help it refill faster. As for the hints, once used up, you either watch 3 three ads just for one hint.. this is making the game difficult. It’s easy to play but difficult to progress the next step despite the intriguing storyline..Version: 2.0.8

Awesome Game | Horrible Energy DesignThis game is awesome, and so much fun. I love the narration and the storyline, the searching, everything about it is awesome…. The reason for my three star review is that the energy “reserve” and amount of energy to do an action/task is horribly off balanced… aka tasks take a lot of energy, and the amount that saves up (after hours of waiting) is minimal in comparison… Day one of gameplay, I was able to play through multiple scenes, conversations, interactions, hidden object searches, etc… it was awesome, but also clearly how they get you hooked. After my initial starter energy was drained… I had to wait hours for the 175 energy bank to return, so that I could continue playing the game… the 175 energy lasted me about 3-5 minutes of gameplay before I was completely out of energy again… I think it took about 75 energy points just to have a conversation with someone and brew a tea… I’ve played a ton of games from the App Store, and think this game would be amongst my top few favorites, IF it wasn’t for this awful energy imbalance… If 2-3 simple actions/convos use ~75 energy points… the energy reserve should be much higher, like 500 energy instead… or there should be options to earn more energy faster. Love the game. Hate the energy…. As a side note… I’m always happy to spend money on great games, but it costs a minimum of $3 to buy more energy… 250 energy… which lasts 5-10 minutes, if you’re lucky….Version: 2.0.10

AlrightThis game was extremely fun to play, however the lack of energy and the game unfortunately glitching and making me redo things I’ve already finished. I have had to spend a sad amount of money to play this game and enjoy it. Without spending it would probably take 5 months to complete which in my case I’d get utterly bored o. The good part of this game is the graphics and the back story were spectacular! Also the fact this new chapter keeps getting pushed back is very tiring, the dates keep changing and I feel like the new chapter will come out when I’m 30 (I’m 25)..Version: 2.3.2

Not enough energyI wait for a night and barely any energy I still play until no energy then seven hours later only 15 energy we need more energy please..Version: 2.3.1

Greedy developersNice graphics but really after your cash. Forget it.Version: 2.3.1

Save Time, Read the ReviewsSave yourself some time and make sure you read the reviews left by others. THEN, read the responses to those reviews… that’s what the game is like. You can tell them about the energy being absurd for how long it takes to get and how much energy you spend on something. They don’t care. Even their “responses” are not specific to the problem, which means they don’t plan to fix it. It gets really frustrating playing for only a few minutes a day.. unless you pay money. Not worth the download. This game could actually be a great game, but their lack of knowledge for energy and time, and what is even Reasonable for gameplay, makes it an annoying game to even try to get into. Imagine a friend telling you a story but you only get to hear 5 minutes of the story each day. Eventually, you don’t even care to hear the rest. If you like these types of games.. I suggest Criminal Case.. it’s addicting and you get just enough energy and rewards to keep you on it for hours in the day! Happy Gaming!.Version: 2.0.8

Fun game, but…The games is fun, it gives you options to choose from while you play. You can find collectibles, there are search for items games, and some puzzles to solve throughout the story. Yes, the energy does get used up quickly, really quick if it’s a small scene. That doesn’t bother me, I have other games I play. You can watch an ad to get energy, but it does not always give you the energy for watching the ad. That is very frustrating to me. It’s happened several times. As soon as that happens, I quit playing and move on to a different game. I hate that I wasted my time watching an ad, just so they can get some kickback, but I can’t get rewarded for it. I make sure I watch until it says reward granted, but nothing. Don’t start to search for items if you’re low on energy. I’ve made that mistake and when I got on again the next day, some of the items I had found were back in the search boxes. When I tapped them, it cost me energy again. You spend little time playing due to how quickly the energy is used up. You might not get energy when you watch an ad. If you start searching for items without enough energy to complete it, you might end up using energy to re-find them when you play again. Fun game, but can be frustrating!!.Version: 2.1.0

Way too buggyThe developers deleted my last review, so I’m trying again … the energy is a huge problem, like every other review has said so I won’t waste your time there. The game allows you to watch ads to gain energy, but I’ve learned that every single time you watch a third ad during your current play time — even if you complete another in-game activity first — you’ll receive an error message that reads “We’ve found a discrepancy in the game progress. A rollback has been issued.” From there, it kicks you back to the title screen and upon re-entering the game, you’ve not only lost all progress you’ve made, your energy is reset to before you watched the first ad. It’s maddening enough to be forced to wait 24 hours for a full energy refill that lasts, at best, 2-3 minutes worth of playing time but this constant glitch that they won’t fix? I’ve emailed the developers with no response … cannot in good conscience spend a single penny on a game that crashes and erases progress with zero response from their help team about being able to restore paid play. Fantastic storyline, incredible graphics and intriguing play, but the headache between the ridiculous energy situation and the constant crashing makes this one a no-go for me, guys, I’m sorry. If you expect players to spend money and continue to play, maybe at least communicate about bug fixes or iron these things out ahead of time. For me, you’re asking far too much out of your players without giving enough in return..Version: 2.0.6

Game is good but energy replenish time is horrible.Game is good, I enjoyed the game play and the extra items to find after you finish and awaiting for the next chapter after finding out who the killer was. One thing is you guys haven’t got a good system on is how the energy is used some things take 50 energy and that’s already 1/4 of your energy gone on one thing so maybe before you give us the next chapter fix that as all your reviews mentioned how disappointing and dissatisfied we all are bout it and how long it takes to recharge and ridiculously long it takes to recharge! I played in the morning and in the afternoon I wasn’t even half way through recharging. Over all good game but you need to work on your delivery systems and not everyone can go onto social media networks to try and get more energy ect..Version: 2.3.3

Not enough energyThis is a great game but, as others have mentioned, the energy regeneration is rubbish and it’s used up too quickly. It costs too much to keep purchasing energy just for it to vanish in no time at all. Also there should be the option to zoom in when looking for items, many are hidden and it can take forever to complete a search task. Doubt I’ll play it for much longer because it is dragging due the lack of energy and how much is taken for simple tasks. Handing someone an item shouldn’t cost 20 energy, it’s ridiculous. Also I do not do Facebook just like many others so offering asking us to join your Facebook page is not an option..Version: 2.2.2

Too Frustrating - Uninstalled!!!I was really enjoying the game, you can see that a lot of effort has gone into the story and graphics. However it is beyond frustrating how quickly the energy runs out - close to 8 hours between game play and the energy had charged enough for about 2 minutes of game play. Extremely frustrating! I have seen numerous complaints about this and the developer seems to be ignoring them! I will be uninstalling- such a shame, it could’ve been a great game!.Version: 2.0.8

Two major complaints* the amount of energy expended Vs how quickly it’s regained is unbalanced * I FREQUENTLY (like every 10 minutes or so) get an error that “We have found a discrepancy in your game progress. A rollback has been issued.” Meaning they undo some of the actions I’ve already completed, but don’t reinstate the energy I used for them. So I end up watching a ton of ads because of the unbalanced energy—more than other games I have played that are similar—and then lose energy due to game coding/server flaws. The game is fun but it’s frustrating enough that I’m considering quitting and can only give it two stars. If they would better balance the energy and fix this bug this could be a five star game that I’d spend money on easily..Version: 2.0.6

Version: 2.3.3

Energy hassleEven though this is one of the better mystery games available for the phone you have to wait days to be able to play again with full energy! The last time I played was 2 days ago and I’m still half way to full energy… I get you want people to buy in game purchases but for people like me who doesn’t have a job and has barely any money for themselves it’s just a bit ridiculous that it takes days to fully charge up and to be able to make progress in the game without clicking on 3 things and having to wait another 2-3 days to play… please make the energy recharge quicker because I enjoy this game so far it just takes the fun out of it with all the silly things like this...Version: 2.0.6

Seemed fun at firstGreat voice acting, scenes, and the games works well. Unfortunately after the freemium model kicks in it just becomes completely unenjoyable. Energy to move, talk to people, even to click on individual hidden objects. I don’t think it works with this payment model, as I can only play for a minute before its begging me for money again. I’d rather buy a fully unlocked version..Version: 2.0.10

They don’t value playersDO NOT download this game if you don’t want to finish by the year 3023. I was considering giving this game 3 stars for the incredible graphics and voiceovers, HOWEVER after seeing their careless responses at other bad reviews (which most refer to the same topic of how they don’t give enough energy to play, finessing you into spending a LOT OF MONEY for it, which I experienced for myself too) made me realize they don’t care about the player’s experience at all, only about the money. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. So please dear developer be smarter and actually make the game better. Also, please save your copied and paste answer. I already know it by heart..Version: 2.3.2

Terrible cheaterI just bought 10$ of energy and they block the game for me im even not able to play again omg 😭😭😭😭.Version: 2.3.1

Wonderful game but ruined by paywallBeautiful graphics and fantastic voice acting with a compelling and addictive story, but while you can technically progress for free it is designed to be extremely frustrating if you do. Unless you get any energy gifts the daily energy is enough to do a couple of things at best, and it doesnt even fill up quickly. I wouldnt even mind if you could buy enough energy to complete the game as an affordable one off but thats not the case. Honestly for me its ruined what would otherwise be one of my favourite games. I’m used to having limits on how much you can play for free each day, but in this case the energy allowance is beyond stingy… Would be 5 stars if not for the constant energy issues..Version: 2.3.2

Another complaint about energyLike everyone else has already stated the energy system is seriously unbalanced. Talking to someone in the game costs 10 energy and it takes hours to recharge. I’m deleting this because no matter how much I enjoy the game, it’s literally unplayable with the current energy system. Id rather pay $5/$10 for a game I can just purchase and play rather than deal with this nonsense..Version: 2.3.3

Energy and “discrepancy”Overall this is a good interactive game and the puzzles are challenging and fun. But the cost of some of them is a bit over the top, 50 for a single action ?!? And the rate at which it renews is a bit extreme and takes near 2 days to fully recharge, the ads for energy is a good tool however the amount of game discrepancies and errors that bugs progress of the game is too frequent, leaving you unable to watch ads after the discrepancy. Definitely bugs that need to be fixed by developers and changes that should be implemented before more users give up on it..Version: 2.0.8

Love the game but unfortunate about the developersLike MANY other review… this game itself is amazing. HOWEVER, the glitches with the game is sooooo frustrating. I’ve had instance whereby it just reloads the game randomly and then your back to doing the same tasks. Right now my game is completely broken. I’m unable to move forward as it’s loaded up to a scene in which was already completed. The game wants me to complete it again but the action is unavailable and I’m unable to move forward. I’ve had to contact support which shouldn’t be an issue but now after spending real money on this game…. I have to wait for a fix. This is incredibly frustrating. The energy grab is also an absolute drain. You literally get 5 mins of game play a day if you are lucky as energy takes 23 hours to regenerate 200 but that same 200 is used within 3-5 mins. That’s all you can play a day unless you spend real money. Don’t waste your time on this game unless you want to be left feeling frustrated. Ps…. Developers, please do not dare respond with “contact customer services”! I already have but this SHOULDN’T be necessary. Fox MY game and fox the energy. Otherwise I will be seeking a full refund from apple as this game is unplayable!.Version: 2.2.2

Once again, could be 5 stars ^^I have to say that this isn’t the best game.. the developers have to listen to our voices! you MUST change the energy! it is impossible to play constantly. you have to wait days until full energy! so I have a solution. maybe us, players can maybe watch up to 5 ads or something and then get a refill. please listen to us guys. or else we will start deleting. -kind regards, boba queen🧋^^.Version: 2.0.8

Enjoyed but am no longer able to playI liked this game (although not the energy running out so quickly) but I stopped playing when I hit the ‘to be continued’. That was about six months ago. When an update came and more story was added, I tried to open the app but it just crashed. When I tried again it tells me that my progress may have been set back due to an update, and I’m offered 700 energy. However, when I click the little tick icon under the message, the game just freezes and never loads. I open the game every time it updates in hope that this will be fixed, but the same thing happens every time. It’s disappointing because I was enjoying the story, and I don’t want to delete the app and start again, but it seems this problem won’t be fixed..Version: 2.1.2

Too long to restore energyThis game is really enjoyable, but it takes almost 24 hours for your energy to fully restore and can be gone in under 10 minutes, which can make keeping up with the storyline quite difficult. It seems like every time I touch the screen I lose 5 energy - it’s incredibly frustrating, especially when I’m not doing anything but reading a conversation on the screen, or asking a question. There should be mini games where you can earn energy refills. The achievements only really give you enough for 1 or 2 more actions, and they take forever to achieve. To the developer, I see you refer everyone to your Facebook page for updates, but I’m not on Facebook..Version: 2.0.10

Energy exchangeI’m having issues exchanging energy between Murder in the Alps and Murder by choice. When I try to accept energy from Murder in the Alps it brings me to a link in Safari and then to the App Store for Murder by choice and then I open the app and the energy doesn’t appear anymore..Version: 2.3.2

Great game, greedy developersLove the game. The storyline, graphics, and characters are fantastic. HOWEVER, the energy bar is unfair to players. Every single action costs an unreasonably large amount of energy and there’s nothing we can do to gain energy except wait (1 point every 7 minutes). The energy bar depletes very quickly, and refills very slowly (I had 155 energy points when I started playing. It was gone in about 5 minutes!). Every object found, every choice made, every puzzle, costs energy, I even lost a lot of energy for leaving the game on a hidden objects scene! Some of these actions cost 10 energy points, but you earn 1 point every 7 minutes?? That means that 1 second of gameplay can take up to over an hour to earn—which is unheard of in any game. This is clearly a ploy to make money off of the players and entice them to spend money on energy. I’d like to give the developers 5 stars for developing an intriguing mystery game, but conning players into spend a ridiculous amount of money in order to play longer than 5 minutes at a time is greedy and tasteless. SUGGESTION to developers: Either make actions cost less energy (ex. 1 object=1 energy), OR give us opportunities to gain energy for actions during gameplay. SUGGESTION to other players: Look for other games (Choices is a good one) before spending a crap ton of money on this one. Remember that you have options..Version: 2.0.9

This has so much potentialVery rarely do I come across games like this that draw me 100% in. Like, the whole world disappears when I play it. So please try it. The energy is what makes this game so bad. The only way to actually do something is to wait for a full day, and then if you wanted to play throughout the day you'd have to buy it. I wish there was a way something so small didn't take so much energy, and then for so much energy to disappear and take forever to fill back up. Real talk, if the energy thing is fixed, this is a game I could settle in and play for hours and hours (taking breaks for energy, not meaning to take it away completely - just tweak it). If you're trying to see what genre you're interested in, this is by far one of the best of these I've ever played. The story, the art, the creativity, there's so much. This would be rated 5+++ if only the energy wasn't the way it was. Update: you literally have to not play it for a full 24 hours (and then some) to get your energy back..Version: 2.3.3

⚡️Settings need updatingGreat game & continuation from Murder in the Alps. The only flaw they keep refusing to address is how quickly your energy refreshes. All it takes is one cut-scene to burn through 160⚡️, with the remaining quickly absorbed within minutes. Then if you purchase energy to keep playing, the other issue is you won't receive your daily 200⚡️ until you use up what you have purchased which is a bit rude. Cute-scenes should not use your energy when it is the main storyline..Version: 2.0.8

2 StarWould have been a 5 star as I love the story line and content, however it takes so long!!!!! to get energy. Left mine to charge overnight - still not full and had all of about 5 mins of game time ☹️.Version: 2.0.6

Such a disappointmentSo disappointing. Often, I mean more than 10 times a day, I am forced into a system catch-up where current credits are wiped and I have to go back and start again. It’s very expensive and having to watch 10x 30sec adds for credit is some kind of new mind torture. Good story, just tried to load up $7.99 credit and it was consumed without me being able to use it. I have not received the credit. More money taken from me. Really bad system faults I’m going to delete it because it’s just so dreadful. Shame, as the story is entertaining, and some very good hidden object games. The only reason I have continued, to put up with the torture of the system Is because the games are great..Version: 2.0.9

Unrealistic feesThe game it’s self is great! I would pay a set amount to download and play the game, however you can only play for a few minutes and then you run out of energy. You have to pay to keep playing and the money you pay doesn’t get you very far. It’s very unrealistic. When you think how much actual video games are, this phone game would be way extortionate to play if you paid every time you ran out of energy which is very very fast. The other options to gain energy don’t come frequently enough to actual play. It’s such a shame as the concept is awesome and I really enjoyed it but I don’t think I’ll be playing anymore as it’s frustrating. Not to mention I’m am constantly getting this “set backs” as there are discrepancies with my progress. I’ve lost money due to this. Again awesome game but not realistic to keep playing..Version: 2.0.8

Energy and glitchesGood game except energy goes too fast and ever 10 minutes or so I get thrown out with the message there is a problem when looking for items and I get the message there was a problem with the game. I also seemed to lose energy when I go back into the game after that too. Very frustrating. After complaining to the powers that be it is still happening and within 10 minutes of playing the game got thrown out several times with the message of discrepancy etc and lost 50 energy points by having to replay parts of the game repeatedly. What could be a great game has been spoiled so much with this problem which I keep getting told will be fixed. I kept a rough tally on energy point lost due to forced replays since I started playing and it is over 500 so far. This is ruining what should be an entertaining and enjoyable game,.Version: 2.0.8

New update “coming soon”The new update has been coming soon for almost a year now . Such an annoying thing to wait for and should have been done beforehand a long time ago now ...Version: 2.3.3

Money wasting gameI’ve been playing this game for about a week and spent about $120 on just energy alone. Every task requires more than 20 energy and it’s not the same amount of energy on the different tasks. One task will be 20 energy another one will be 50 energy. Not to mention it takes 7 minutes to fill one energy and every task is about 10 energy or more. So after waiting for an hour for free energy you can only complete one task then have to wait another hour to complete one more task. This is absolutely ridiculous and for this reason I definitely don’t recommend this game. It is really expensive and it wastes a lot of time and especially money. Buying the energy isn’t cheap. The 250 energy they give you is all used up in just completing 3-4 tasks and those stupid mini games. Even there 1200 energy doesn’t help to finish up the tasks because they have a lot of findings and mystery searches and the other annoying thing is if you can’t find an item and you don’t know what it is and you tap around the screen to find it, it times out and takes away 10 energy just for tapping the screen to search for their stupid items. I’m going to try and get my money back totally not worth the money!.Version: 2.3.0

Waiting for energy is ridiculousThe game is super fun and I do really enjoy it, however, I went to bed overnight and my energy still wasn’t recharged in the morning. You use energy for almost every action even if it’s playing a hidden object game. You lose like 4 energy for every item found, 10 energy for every response you give when talking to someone and then lose energy from tasks that need to be completed. You are only allowed I think 115 energy and it lasts about 3 minutes. It’s crazy that I can’t even play this game every day because the energy takes too long to restore. If you didn’t use so much energy, it would be a much better game and I hope the app developers do that. I did delete the game due to this. I also spent $5 on buying 1000 energy and that maybe lasted 10 minutes. It’s kinda crazy. They say you can earn energy from completing challenges but you need energy to complete the challenges so it doesn’t work. App developers: do better and this game will be more enjoyable for all..Version: 2.0.9

Could be betterAgree with other comments taking to long with silly little tasks that in my opinion are unnecessary and cost to much energy to do Otherwise lots of potential for a very good game.Version: 2.0.10

Good game but…It’s a really great game, it’s very entertaining and I can tell you guys have put a lot of effort into the production and quality of it but…my issue is one a lot of people have already brought up. The Energy. It just drains crazy fast. Why would I need 5 energy just to pick up one item or have one conversation? I literally log in twice a day, listen to a couple lines of dialogue and if I’m lucky I can pick up like three things and then boom I’m done for the day, it’s just nowhere near engaging enough to keep you hooked on the story when you’re progressing so slowly through the story..Version: 2.0.10

Energy issueI agree with a lot of the reviews on here. That is to say the game concept is great and I was really enjoying it on the first day. I enjoyed the story, it took me back to my youth reading the choose your own adventure books, and the games. BUT the speed in which energy regenerates is ridiculously slow. I’d left the game for at least 12 hours and when I came back to it I had about 5mins of game play energy. I never spend money in games but am more than happy to watch adverts to increase my energy but this doesn’t seem to be an option with this game. Maybe the developers need to add this? Such a shame as I was enjoying the game but I think it will be relegated to the ‘play infrequently’ section if not deleted completely!.Version: 2.0.8

Good game…. When you can playThis game is good however, the amount of life that you get is terrible. You can essentially play for about a minute at a time unless you want to buy more life. Individual tasks use up an outrageous amount of life. You will be spending money left and right in order to actually enjoy this game. I saw the developer responded to someone else who also mentioned this issue and the response was that there were games etc in which you could earn more life on a daily basis. This is true but if a task uses 30 points of life and your games give me 15, I still can’t play!.Version: 2.3.1

Why are all games like these a £££ con ?The game is brilliant, I do like it but come on guys why are we forced to buy energy to carry on time and time again why can’t we just purchased the game out right play and enjoy it like games used to be ? Oh no, let’s squeeze every last penny out of everybody and line our greedy pockets. Sad as good game I was expecting this standard reply that you reply to so many ? Clearly you do not indeed care whatsoever, please listen to your many negative reviews and rectify them not copy and paste a standard reply ? For anyone that read reviews you will find the same, it’s a joke. And you will do what I have now done. Delete this game. And find one that you can actually purchase fully and enjoy. Greed greed greed.Version: 2.2.2

Is there anything about this game that is not broken?Complete waste of time even down to trying to write a review about my experience and/or update my original review. Everything I wrote froze and when I came back, it had all been deleted and it’s not my phone. The game and it’s add watching completely fouled up. I tried to use support it didn’t work then I come here to write a review and it freezes up and deletes itself. Don’t come at me with contact support. Please if you read it and you work for the company this is my report I’m not one to complain over a game but I’ve spent about 20 minutes of my life now messing around with a phone game. Do better. Huh? 🤨 Also, you can pretty much spend all 200 energy that it gives you per day roughly, quicker than you can regain one or two energy. The little bit of in-game task energy you can earn doesn’t last but a couple of clicks in most cases. I think there’s one that you get 50 energy which can be drained in 1 or two moves depending on the move.. Whoever set up this pricing was really feeling stingy . 🤦🏽‍♀️ And one last update, I went back in to see if I can make another move, and I still can’t go from the center of the basement through the kitchen door because it costs 30 energy just to walk through the door. Rip off..Version: 2.0.9

Could be a good game…I don’t usually pay much attention to reviews and want to see for myself, but wow…people were really on the money about the ridiculous energy situation. Complete put off of what could be a really good game. Energy runs out so fast it’s barely worth taking the time to open the game. Would rather buy the game than have to keep paying to get extra power to play..Version: 2.3.1

EnergyI love this game but the amount of energy you need to do anything is crazy. I ran out of energy before i went to bed and when i woke up I had 80 energy. Seems like a lot but each quest takes 10-20 energy. It runs out so fast, just talking to people which you can’t avoid takes 10 energy..Version: 2.3.3

Too expensiveLook, I don’t expect developers to work for free so it’s ok to have to pay. The problem is that it’s just so expensive! Instead of charging us (a fortune) for energy that depletes so quickly (so the money we spend is gone in an instant & we’re back to not being able to play unless we spend even more money), how about you charge us for a permanent increase to the speed of energy restoration? I would spend money to play if that was the case, but not the way it is currently set up..Version: 2.0.10

You need to fix the energy issue!!Could be 5 stars as it’s actually a really interesting game. But as everyone else says, the energy runs out way too quick. You only get 3 minutes of gameplay and you have to wait 24 hours for your energy to get full again. Every action you do takes way too much energy, answer 1 question and it takes 30 energy. And no I don’t want to buy energy or enter your little contests. It tells me to download games to get 100 energy, I downloaded 2 games and got NOTHING..Version: 2.0.9

EnergyGames is good except you use up energy so fast you can’t play.Version: 2.3.1

Allo !Sa coute trop cher d’énergie, toutes les actions coutent trop cher , dommage le concept est bon mais tu joues pas longtemps!.Version: 2.3.3

Lack of energy for F2PBefore the latest update, there was the opportunity to watch ads to earn energy - which, whilst annoying, made it accessible to those that don’t have the money to blow on a game. However, the latest update got rid of this feature, and since you have to wait 7 minutes for 1 energy, when the cheapest energy expenditure is 5, it makes it impossible to progress through the story. It is possible to get energy for completing collectibles, but the balance is wayyyyy off, since you gain very little in the grand scheme of things, as having one conversation takes up all that energy you just earned. It’s a shame, as I was enjoying the game but feel the developers don’t listen to player complaints, so I shan’t be playing any more..Version: 2.1.0

Bad startJust downloaded today. Every 5 mins it says “server unavailable, try again in 15mins” close the app and go back in and it works only to get the error again.Version: 2.3.1

Good game but….I really enjoyed the concept of the game but ended up deleting it as I got too frustrated with only being able to play for 5-15 mins a day. It takes forever to collect energy and you use it up so fast. It’s impossible to enjoy it without having to spend money. I’d be happier if I could just buy the game for a set price then play it without having to worry about recharging the energy. Too frustrating!.Version: 2.3.3

Could be a great game, but has too many failings at this point.Could be a great game, but has too many failings at this point. The player’s energy does not last long enough; and requires lengthy breaks or payment to replenish. Furthermore, to get more hints you are required to watch adds. This does not bother me usually, However this games makes you watch 3 adds to get 1 hint - seems to take advantage of players. Finally, a times during play the game would randomly close. When opening the game to continue play, progress was lost..Version: 2.0.8

Energy always runs out fast! It’s starting to get to the point where I think “what’s the point?” This is an issue. Quite a big one and considering the amount of complaints regarding this specific issue you’d think developers would be on top of it. Pretty disappointed. Not satisfied. It’s the only flaw in the game but I’m saying that it’s a big flaw..Version: 2.0.8

Rather pay up frontI would rather pay 20.00 up front and play the entire game..Version: 2.3.3

A great game BUT!I’ve played a lot of games from the App Store and as we all know these in-app-games are set up for you to spend money to advance in it. Some games are actually fairly reasonable in their requirements of when they want you to spend money. This murder by choice is a really engaging and enjoyable game to play, until you “need” to buy energy to advance. Out of all the games I’ve played this game is about the greediest game to play. I’ve said it before and will say it again here. I don’t care how good a game is. If I have to spend a fortune to be able to play it I’ll just delete it. And this game falls right into that category. I earned 50 energy points to add to the 14 I had but don’t think I got 10 minutes of play time out of that much energy. So tell me, how much play time am I going to receive if I start dishing out money? I’m not going to find out. I gave this game two stars because it’s a great game. Otherwise it would’ve only gotten one star. An update, since my first review I tried watching a video to obtain 10 energy points. After the video ended, the download indicator spun in circles endlessly, never receiving the 10 energy points. This game is worthless and not worth the thought of even open it. In all my years of playing cyber games I’ve never seen such greedy developers. I am noting this games maker (s) and will not download anything else from them. Do NOT waist your time with this game aside from how good it might be it is a total waist of time!.Version: 2.0.8

Could be goodIt would be better but the energy used for every item you find or response you make is super annoying it would be better if to answer questions didn’t use energy and when you have to find EVERY object to get to the next point it seems unfair that engery is used. One mini game used over 100 energy so it takes forever to do anything or get far in this game so I find I don’t play as often as I would like because of this reason. Otherwise I like the game but I’m not paying for energy when it waste so many in finding objects and talking..Version: 2.0.6

Great game butGreat game but energy takes too long to regenerate. Absolutely enjoying the game otherwise..Version: 2.2.0

Energy usage is crazyThis is a really nice game as far as graphics and storyline goes but the amount of energy usage it takes is ridiculous! It takes so much energy to do pretty much anything in the game, and the energy regenerates very slowly and then only up to a max of 200. I let it sit for almost a full 24 hours and the energy still wasn’t regenerated fully to 200. However it was at like 180 and that allowed me to play for less than 5 minutes. I don’t mind paying a bit of money for a game I enjoy so I did purchase the starter deal that got you 1000 in energy and even that lasted for maybe 30 mins of game play. At this point it seems like you would need to pay $100s to get anywhere in this game which is outrageous. Either charge outright for the full game or at least make it feasible to play more than 5 minutes per day without having to spend money on energy. If not I don’t think you’re going to have many people downloading or playing this game. Which again is a shame because it is great visually and fun (when you can actually play it that is).Version: 2.0.6

Awesome yet boring somehowGreat graphics and the potential to be one of the best, starts of interestingly enough…then….so, so tedious. You start out with good intentions. You get into it and even watch a million ads to charge up your energy to keep playing. Then, after months of 10 minutes per day game play because you run out of energy, it just gets tedious. I’ve lost interest. Too long story line, too much time to complete. It’s just too much. Whoa I’m fatigued. With a story this long, it needs to keep people interested with more energy, so we can progress faster. Speed it up guys, it’s feels like days of our lives, so many plot changes over a very slow, long drawn out time period. Really won’t be interested in any more of your games. Who has the time or patience..Version: 2.1.0

Cool GameGame is pretty good if only there was more energy to play longer. And there wasnt the negative energy when clicking alot. Love the game though. But that energy needs to cone in faster like every other game lol.Version: 2.1.2

Good Game; Fix Energy UsageI usually don't write reviews but I feel the energy usage is a huge flaw. It is a very fun game, even down to collectibles and hidden achievements. I love "I spy find the items" type of games so this one is great. My issue though is the amount of energy it takes to do the simplest tasks. It should take 20 energy to view an item and then 24 hours to replenish full energy. We only get to play the game for no more than 5 minutes before having to wait 8 hours to get enough energy to play for maybe a minute or wait 24 hours for the energy to be fully replenished. It's also weird that when you play the "find the items" game, every time you find an item it takes 5 energy. I get that you lose energy if you pick a wrong item but you shouldn't get punished for finding the right item too. I'm ok with buying more energy but if I have to buy energy every 5 minutes that's a bit ridiculous. It's a great game but the time it takes to replenish the energy should be greatly reduced. Energy should also only be no more than -10 at a time. Having to use 50 energy to interact with a cutscene when you only have 200 energy to work with makes the gameplay way too slow and hard to follow with the replenishing time. I also saw a response to a review with a similar issue and the response was: "Play our other games to get more free energy." What? That shouldn't be the requirement to get energy..Version: 2.0.8

Energy drains too fastIs a good game. Energy gets used to fast.Version: 2.0.10

Fun Game, Greedy DevelopersThis game is fun, the storyline is engaging, and the graphics are wonderful. The only complaint I have is the same as everyone else’s…the energy usage is ridiculous. You can only play the game once every day or two because it takes an insane amount of time for it to replenish. Then, when you’re finally able to play, you go through a full bar in less than five minutes. You can watch ads to get energy, but most actions use so much that you’d spend hours watching them to make it worthwhile. You can also get energy from achievements, but you have to be able to actually play the game to achieve them. Which is impossible with the energy issue. It’s all just very disappointing. On top of that, you have the developers that reply to all these reviews (and there’s a lot saying the exact same thing) with “get energy from achievements or contests” so they aren’t even listening to the complains of their players. People don’t want to jump through hoops to play an app. I can see why so many people have said to just delete it..Version: 2.0.10

Game incomplete for 2 years ☹️Looking at the version history, this game has not had any content updates since its launch. It’s a murder mystery and is absolutely magnificent until you abruptly hit “to be continued” with no option to at least explore the setting, replay scenes with different choices or anything to do at all. So disappointing, especially since like another reviewer I had literally just bought an energy pack. At least with the developer’s similar (brilliant) game Murder in the Alps, each chapter is complete in itself and there is a rough timeframe for completion, so I don’t mind that I have purchased credits that are sitting there waiting to be used. I haven’t seen any indication on the developer’s web site or Facebook that this game is still alive, I understand good games take time but to take this long without even a hint of what’s going on is super disappointing - mainly because what is there IS SO GOOD and I really want to see how the story pans out!.Version: 1.0.7

Concept good: reality is averageLoved the idea of this. I love these seek and find games. What spoils the whole lot is the lack of energy. 200 points a day which are used within (literally) 2 minutes. You then have to wait 24h to replenish this. Energy is removed for finding each item, for conversations, etc, so it goes in a flash. It takes longer to boot up than actual play. You could buy the energy packs, obviously, and I’d consider it... but given how fast the energy depletes, you’d be spending £3-5 A DAY just to get 20-30 minutes play a day. That’s just ridiculous. Tot that up over a month and it’s not far off £100...! Shame, because the graphics, the storyline, the games, are all harmless, good fun. A shame that you’d have to spend money every single day just to get into the flow of it. Very stop-start unfortunately. Edit: Developer response is standard. I know I can get more energy by waiting or buying or completing tasks, but it is used so quickly, it’s daft..Version: 2.0.10

Deleting the GameI never leave harsh reviews but this time is an exception because I am so frustrated and disappointed in this game. I love murder mystery games in general so I was excited to play when I downloaded it. The storyline in the beginning was very intriguing and when I first started the game it was fun…until I ran out of energy. I have played many games where you can watch ads or complete side tasks to earn more energy which is understandable; however it is ridiculous how much energy you have to use for the simplest of tasks. Every action in the game uses up at least 5 energy points. I can’t play the game for literally more than 5 minutes. I specifically came to the reviews to see if other people had the same complaints as me and it looks like everyone feels the same way. Also the developers have had the same response to every comment, so I don’t think they really care about the complaints as long as they’re making money. It’s actually really sad because I would genuinely like to see the story through and finish the game but it’s really not worth it. I’ll find a better murder mystery game 🤷🏽‍♀️ If I could give less than one star I would. I’m not wasting my money to purchase energy that will be depleted in 5 minutes. This game is being deleted off my phone and I’m not downloading another game by these developers. Sorry not sorry..Version: 2.1.0

FrustratingSuch a shame that you can’t play properly without paying a fortune. The actions in the game each use up a lot of energy, which runs out very quickly. Just to get through one conversation can use up most of your day’s energy. To get more, you can watch a video, but that only gives you enough energy for one or two small tasks. I have paid for energy, only to get a max of half an hour’s gameplay. It’s such a shame, as the mystery aspect is great..Version: 2.2.2

Great but flawedReally good game with lots going on however the energy required to play takes far far too long to replenish. After leaving the game overnight and resuming the morning after, I had only 5 minutes of actually playing before I was out. Most other games replenish energy in under 3 hours and it turns out your game takes 2 days which is ridiculous. And by the way developers, I’ve seen your multiple responses saying that you can get extra energy by completing in game achievements and contests, please don’t reply the same with me. Instead listen to what I and many others have said and actually do something about it. We want to continue to enjoy the game and storyline but you are stopping us..Version: 2.0.9

Game Good, Energy Ridiculous! The concept of the game is great! I love how well thought out and detailed it is…however it is ridiculous that you can basically only play for a few minutes a day as it relies on energy points which disappear very quickly, even used when moving from room to room, but the big one for me is using loads of energy points each time you find an object in the hidden objects tasks, why can’t it just be take off the energy for doing the activity like other games? We then have to wait hours to properly try playing again and then it’s only another few minutes. If the energy points were not as excessively used, I wouldn’t mind paying £4+ for more energy but it will slowly build up as its every few minutes I’d have to. I would rather just not play the game than pay a fortune to get a couple of hours worth of game time. Other than that this game is great, I just think the energy point usage needs reviewing as most other games like this have a lot more playing time and charge similar prices for energy but not needed as frequently..Version: 2.0.6

Energy!!! Or lack of…I really like this game. The story is engaging, the mixture of tasks is great and I want to play more. However, like other reviews, I find the lack of energy and the time it takes to replenish incredibly frustrating and boring. I’ve not deleted it yet, but the developers really need to sort this out. There is no point in having a game/app taking up space on your phone when you use it for 2 minutes / day (and that’s if you’re lucky!) I’m a patient person so will persevere in the hope that I will either get bored of waiting and delete, or the developers will heed all the feedback on the energy issue and make a positive change. Update: shame that the standard response has been given to my review. For those who haven’t downloaded the game yet, you get 15 energy points per achievement. Attaining these is slow and opportunity to do so doesn’t come by regularly. 15 energy points doesn’t even equate to 2 choices in 1 conversation, so certainly won’t speed up the game or enhance the playing experience! As I say, if you’re patient it’s not such a big deal. But the developers using the ‘achievements as workaround for the energy issue is a cop out!.Version: 2.0.10

Super enjoyable but too buggyOne of the few games I’ve downloaded after seeing an ad for it on another game. Only problem is that recently 2-3 times per day the game comes up with a progress error and it sets me way back, without replacing the energy or hints I’ve used in the progress I’ve made. The game gives you barely any energy anyway so I’ve spent countless minutes watching ads every time I’ve wanted to play longer than 5 minutes - only to then have all my progress deleted. So annoying. Especially since the story line and graphics are really great and addictive :(.Version: 2.0.8

What is the pointUnfortunately, I did not read the reviews before downloading this game. The concept of the game and what I have experienced so far is intriguing and interesting however, I get bored very easily. Waiting 24 hours for energy to replenish only to get a couple of minutes of game time is frustrating and also, a weird tactic on the game developers part. Some of the games I have willingly spent money on have been games that I have played for hours and grow addicted to. I would prefer a one time fee rather than a free to play game that doesn’t let you play more than 10 minutes before harassing you with in-game offers. At this point I don’t even care about the story and will probably just delete it. For the developers, give people time to get hooked on the game and maybe they will pay for the energy- just a thought..Version: 2.3.3

Energy structure is a bustIt’s horrible to sleep all night and only re-gain 5 minutes of gameplay. The energy runs out with every click or action and it regenerates way too slow. Would be fun but at this rate I’ll be 90 years old before I get to the next goal.Version: 2.0.6

Great game but quite expensive to playIf you have the patience of a Buddhist monk, the game is fun and won’t cost you a dime but about a year to complete !.Version: 2.3.3

Ruined by the energy structureThe game itself is great - nice graphics, cool concept and a good amount of variety in it. But it’s seriously let down by the archaic approach to energy. It takes 24 hours to completely replenish, and the actions cost so much that you’re out within 5 minutes. The only way to get more is wait a day or buy it. One star because the content is totally ruined by this. You don’t have time to get invested in the story, and I’ll never care about ANY game enough to spend real money on fake energy, so this will just be deleted since it’s not worth the memory on my phone for the level of entertainment I actually get from it. This isn’t even a new complaint, but the developers clearly haven’t listened.Version: 2.0.1

Murder by choiceI downloaded this game because I got tired of waiting for murder in the Alps to add new chapters, now,low and behold the same issue with this game! I really wish this companyy could move a little faster releasing new material!.Version: 2.3.3

Great content but poorly calibrated energy earning:expenditureThe aesthetic and content is lovely. And I understand that they want to encourage in-app purchases of energy and hints, so don’t want to make the energy unlimited or easily refillable. But if I open the game 24 hours later and there’s *still* only enough energy for 20 actions (sometimes half a conversation or search game), the game makes me frustrated and therefore less inclined to purchase anything. The ratio on energy regeneration vs expenditure needs to be recalibrated to encourage free play so the game is enjoyable and people actually want to buy more in-game..Version: 2.0.10

Predatory game systemYou get about 2 actions for every 18 days you wait for the energy recharge. The game itself is engaging and fun. Great graphics. But it’s basically pay to play. They should tell you that upfront instead of billing it as free..Version: 2.3.2

A Joke!!Honestly is such a fun game but i started playing at 15:56 it is now 15:58, did a search puzzle and found some raincoats and I am left with 1 energy. I will not pay for energy everytime I want to play for longer than 3 minutes for it to go again in the following 2! The developers have put time and effort into the game with voice actors, graphics and great ideas but it is completely let down with the lack of energy. They will tell you there is ways to get free energy but once you’ve done that it will go again in the next 30 seconds and you will be in the same boat! Id be happy to even pay £3/4 for the game and get more energy and more play time (is 10 minutes pushing it to far for you guys?). This is my feedback which I have already said on Facebook and had the same generic response every other complaint has as we all have the same issue. Please fix this as Id love to be able to sit down and complete the game when I feel like it..Version: 2.0.10

Energy pls???Look, I get it…people have barely enough energy in life to do 3 tasks but in a game I should absolutely be able to sit down and play for more than 3 minutes after 25 taps because the energy just ???? Disappears or after a 15 hours of my adult life, I come back and I still don’t have a full bar of energy??? Is the objective to see how many times I can open the app to see how much energy I have or how long I can put off playing the game because I know I won’t have enough energy? The story is great and I love how interactive it is but for the love of god the energy level and time it takes to replenish should not a. Be that low and b. Take 6 minutes for 1 bolt of energy to come back.Version: 2.0.10
