✓ Amazing App, Essential for Apple WatchI don't normally write app reviews. In fact, this might be my first or second ever. I had found this app via a Medium article the developer wrote. It chronicled his solutions engineering journey of finding a way to continuously have watch battery data on an iPhone and iPhone battery data on a watch. You may think this sounds easy; After all, Apple provides a widget that shows this data. However from my understanding, Apple doesn't make this data accessible to developers. So this app took its own novel approach so that notifications could be generated based on real-time battery data between the two devices. It works nearly flawlessly. Like the developer, I wear my watch to sleep at night so I usually charge it when I get up and take a shower. However, I've started jogging in the mornings as well so by the time I get back, charging it while I'm in the shower doesn't get it to 100%. Luckily in my case I work remotely in IT and information security so I can leave the watch charging while I start working, at least when I'm not traveling anyway (which is quite often). Between all of these factors, it's easy to forget my watch is charging and sometimes I would leave it sitting on it's stand for hours. Especially if I end up in "flow space" where I'm getting a lot done and the outside world melts away for a few hours. This app has been a game changer for me. I have it set to alert me when it is over 95% and, due to a slight lag between the app being able to check the watch, it's usually at 98 or 99 percent when I receive the notification (which is a very distinctive sound to differentiate it from other notifications). My watch being fully charged has been a big part of me having the tools I needed to lose 45 lbs in 8 weeks so far, putting me almost halfway to my goal weight. It's also very useful being able to see my phone's battery on the same complication. I had sacrificed the watch battery complication for something else since that data alone wasn't very useful when you could just swipe up. But now that I can see both, I can't imagine not using it. I can't thank the developer enough for making such a useful app, and have already tipped once. I intend to try Pee & See next since I track water, tea, protein shakes, etc with WaterMinder. I don't mind tracking this since I already track everything I eat with WW (the program I'm using for weight loss). At times it's tedious but it only takes a few minutes, a few times a day. And being an analytics and metrics geek I love having data available to visualize my progress. But ever since I started working out my water consumption varies wildly between right at my goal and twice my goal. So I can't wait to get started. I have only one feature wish: That the app allows a custom percentage for when to send an alert. I don't like putting my watch back on unless it is at 100%. As long as I don't need to run out of the house or I'm not on the road visiting one of our offices. That way, I can set it at 99% and be confident it'll be at or near 100% by the time the notification comes through. Anyone wirh an Apple Watch knows that the last percent from 99 to 100 takes the longest, and the watch holds at 100% longer than it holds at other percentages once it's on your wrist. Other than that, truly an incredible app. Thanks again for making such an amazing and useful app without charging for it or putting add in it. Reminds me of the early days of smartphones when development was as much about finding solutions and creating cool utilities as it was a way to make money. That's the reason I tipped. I love the pay what you think is fair model. I'm sure I'll be tipping again since, given the current way apps are sold or come with subscriptions, you could likely charge a flat $10 for something like this or even a subscription. ✓ Great app, well worth the moneyThe app has a simple function but does it really well, with lots of different options. Much more useful than the very basic inbuilt IOS functionality. I contacted the developer to raise a couple of suggestions (enabling for shortcuts and modified complication icon) and received a very prompt and thoughtful response. ✓ Very SatisfiedI use the corner complication that displays the percent of charge and the charging status for both my iPhone and my Watch. It’s super convenient to be able to see both at a glance. I charge my iPhone wirelessly, so I can easily monitor whether I’ve placed it in the right position on the charge pad. ✓ Fantastic app essential for Apple WatchI’ve never reviewed an app before but having just used this app again, for the umpteenth time today, just as I’ve been using it daily since I downloaded it a couple of months ago, I thought I really owe it to the developer. Personally I think it is the most essential utility app there is for iPhone + watch & I cannot understand why Apple haven’t incorporated the features. Being able to glance at the app complication on my Home Screen of my watch & see a fully accurate charge level of my phone, & vice versus for the watch, plus get charge notifications to a level of my choosing for each is just so USEFUL. Design is simple and clean, accuracy is terrific, and it really does add value to me unlike half the apps on my watch/phone. ✓ PhenomenalI like to give credit when credit is due. This app is phenomenal. I was looking for a way to check my phone battery when streaming Netflix or World Cup without leaving the actual video. There does not seem to be a native way to do this from the watch, so enter this app, which not only works for that, but also offers more like customizable complications and battery level alerts for both devices! The complication is so good that I replaced the native battery level app on my watch home face with the one offered by this app. At a glance of my watch, I now know the battery levels of both devices, whether I’m away from my phone or streaming videos. ✓ Great AppVery simple and useful app to use, given the limitations of the background tracking on the watch. It definitely looks a lot sleeker compared to other battery apps too. Being able to have both Watch and iPhone battery on the same complication is great too. Wish there was more customization options though. Currently I’m using the corner complication and it’s nice, but it would be cool if the gauge was split to two mini ones and each battery level is on displayed on each end (similar to how the stock Temperature corner complication displays their numbers). Maybe more options for other comp. types too, more color options, etc. Still a good app..Version: 2021.17

✓ Very useful and HIGHLY recommendedI highly recommend this app to anyone who’s willing to splash a couple dollars on an app. Sure it cost money but the function you get in return is incredibly worth it! There are times when the widget isn’t up accurately showing the percentage but it’s easily fixable by just tapping on the widget and it updates automatically. I use this app just about all the time weather I’m in another room from my phone or I’m just too lazy to get up and check the battery on my phone. ✓ Quick response from developerI purchased this because the description said it would notify me when my Apple Watch is charged to 90% “or whatever you choose 50% to 100%”. But when you try to set over 95% it says “not recommended” and offers a premium service for another $4.99. I contacted the developer and they responded right away and fixed their description and told me about iOS 14 notifying at 100%. There are limits built into iOS/watchOS for how often apps can update in the background, and the update cycle comes around to an app much more often when it’s on your watch face. ✓ Why haven’t Apple done this‽UPDATE; 18th May 2020: I contacted the developer about implementing battery discharge notifications on 29th April 2020, which was responded to within minutes. I was told this was planned for a later date, but because it was something that was largely requested it may well be implemented sooner. Low battery notifications have now been made available, a mere nineteen days after I contacted the developer. It has become abundantly clear that this developer cares about the app and the end users of the app. The App Store needs more developers like this! Tip earned! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’ve tried many, many different apps that show iPhone battery levels on Apple Watch as well as apps that show Apple Watch battery levels on iPhone, rarely both. All have been unreliable or have been left to rot on the App Store by the developer, sometimes for years, meaning their features are stale or no longer function properly. Juice Watch has no competition. The Watch app updates frequently, the complications work exactly as intended, the customisation is neither lacking nor over complicated, and the amount of attention the developer shows for the app is reassuring. Apple seriously needs to contemplate approaching the developer to implement this at the OS level. Second to none, and it costs nothing! ✓ A great tool to help get the most out of your batteriesIf you’ve spent time on the Battery University website, you’ve likely read the ‘BU-808: How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries’ article. So, you’ll know that the Li-ion battery cells in your iPhone and Apple Watch do not love to be charged all the way up to 100% full, nor run down much below 20-30%. So, how about an App that alerts you via a Notification, when your device’s battery is charged past 90%, or has run down below 25% (or, whatever pre-set charge levels you prefer)? So that you don’t need to worry about remembering to check on charge levels throughout the day? And so that you can get an idea of your iPhone’s current battery-level with a glance at your Apple Watch? ‘Juice Watch’ is that App. (Now, it’s not perfect; iOS and WatchOS will only update the App every so often, so notifications can sometimes come in a little later than might be ideal. Of course, the App can only work with the updates that the OS provides it with. But, if you want to extend the life of your device batteries through good battery-care practices, this App is a great tool for it. It’s easy to set-up, and does what it says it’ll do. Getting an extra year or two’s service out of a battery makes it a good value proposition, in my opinion. Give it a try!).Version: 2023.4

✓ Does what it needs to, and does it well.I love that I can have my watch and phone battery statuses as one complication. The small battery indicator on iPhone makes me think I have more charge than I do, so seeing the percentage whenever I glance at my watch is great. I do wish that I could display the watch percentage next to the color bar (you can choose to display the watch percent, but the phone percent will be replaced with the bar instead). The thing I loved most was that it is simple, works great, and not a single ad. Just a simple way to tip the developer at the bottom of the app, which I feel a tip is deserved for delivering a functional and great app..Version: 2020.10
