✓ Ok... this game is nice but a few problems:At first I LOVED this game, but then I realised that when you washed the hair all the makeup came of! There are other issues too, it is soo hard to control so high ponytails are so hard to make, the outfit choices aren’t that great and lastly, when you brush hair it gets in the eyes. I have a recommendation: maybe they can ask for a hairstyle ( by having a thought bubble with a picture of it on top of their head? ) and then you have to make it. It would also be great if you had two modes, when They ask for a style and creative. Please answer this and consider my recommendation please please please!! ✓ Seriously..?!😐 (READ THIS RIGHT NOWWWWW)Last year I deleted this app and today I got it again, I went on the app and then boom it froze my screen and wouldn’t let me out of it or log out of my iPad and then when I tapped it like crazy it made musical sounds like what am I tapping right now? ✓ Missing a few itemsFirst off all it’s missing tweezers for the eyebrows, shaving them into a nice shape is REALLY hard tweezers would allow for a more in-depth eyebrow shape AND could be part of the makeup. Also you advertise the makeup as part of the game but it’s really a in app purchase which is very deceptive and disappointing. Maybe if you made a basic makeup pack for free and had more colors and glitter in the other packs that would be more fair. Also foundation would be cool! You have eye shadow shades that work as neutrals for darker skin but not lighter skin. Finally add teeth whitening and the ability to choose braces or none? I like the concept of some characters having braces but the yellow teeth throws off some makeup shades. Also better control of makeup and hair would be nice! Yes the crazy hair and makeup is funny but kids want to be serious too. Like for the face maybe you could make it where you can select the eyes or the mouth individually? Idk just some quality of life improvements that should be made! Love that the 4th game is free and very diverse! Will rate 5 stars if you at LEAST add tweezers, please and thank you.Version: 1.3.0
✓ Very fun but…I’m 20 years old and I love the game. I used to play the previous versions when I was younger and it calms me down. When I was younger all I did was mess around with the hair but now there’s makeup I feel like there is no limit to creation. The issue is that you have to pay for makeup :/ I acknowledge I’m an adult but many children play this game. I think it’s a little sly to have in app purchases for kids games. My other issue is that you’re given set avatars to style. To be fair, while there is a lot of diversity I want to be able to have a customise the appearance of the avatar. I’m using this game as a rebound for the sims because I lost all my save data. I’m grieving my sims and I want to create them in this game. But I can’t because none of the premade avatars will do them justice. While I can change their hair colour and texture I cannot change their skin colour and facial features. And I don’t even know how much you can change them with makeup because it’s behind a paywall!!! I doubt you’ll remove the paywall for makeup considering the amount of reviews of people complaining about it, however I sincerely hope you consider adding an avatar customiser. You’ve already given us so much freedom with their hair and accessories. Would it not make sense to add avatar customisation?.Version: 2.0

✓ It’s alrightI’m 19, so hopefully I can leave a helpful review. The best of the hair salon apps, but makeup is the only real new option and it’s priced at $4. Honestly prefer method of charging $3 for a complete app that toca boca used to do. App is valued at $10 with all IAP which is pretty steep given how limited the game is. The hair is as impossible to control as ever. Updos are virtually impossible, can’t separate hair in the front from the back, and brushing the hair doesn’t cause it to fall flat as it always bounces up at the end. Applying makeup is hard because the model doesn’t sit still so applying lipstick will often end up on the face. The hair ties are still purely cosmetic as they don’t bunch hair together and there is only two items in the base game that resemble hair clips so if you wanted colorful hair clips you’ll be disappointed. The game should be fun for really young kids but older kids may get frustrated as making realistic hairstyles is extremely hard. The character models are... odd looking and it would be nice to be able to change eye color. I just want to be able to make pigtails and cut bangs without also cutting the hair in the back..Version: 1.1.2
✓ It’s okayIt’s a decent game, don’t get me wrong. It’s free which is nice. I’m not too bothered about the makeup but I’m finding the controls very annoying. There’s a variety of characters and items but some of the items (particularly the combs, brushes and towel) are difficulty to use. For instance, I’m trying to comb the side of the persons head so that it isn’t poking out but all it takes a chunk of the hair on the top with it. I do wish you could zoom in or change the angle of the camera. I get that it would take away the realistic aspect but it would be so much easier. I used to have the app and it was completely free and worked really well, now you have to pay!? I am very disappointed with the app and not happy at all. ✓ Good game but..Nevertheless, this is a good game but.. I believe it should have more features than just hair & clothing for FREE. The make up costs a few dollars/pounds and it tends to be annoying whilst trying to glam up a character! I’d suggest instead of putting only some make up for a few dollars/pounds, add some other stuff. Like colour wheels for hair dye so you can customise the hair more, more clothing options, more background options & a system to serve clients. So they give you a kind of preview of what they want from the internet or something like that and then you can FREELY customise them to look abit like it & earn in game money in the process! Then you can open more shops for different things, like shoe shops, make up shops, clothing shops, boba tea shops, etc. this would be a nice edition to the game to make it better and more enjoyable to play! I used to play to play toca world, and bought a lot, and then realized that was a waste of 20 bucks. And when toca scientist or what ever it’s called came out, I bought everything and finished it and the again realized that was a waste of 30 bucks. If maybe you could lower the price of a lot of things, or make the make up kit and face paint free, that would make me want to play your games a lot more often then I already do. ✓ Looks nice, fun but with some frustrating issuesThe game overall is very fun, I play it for hours. The colours, backgrounds and characters all look really nice. Definitely worth playing. I did find a few issues that I thought I’d point out: - If the characters hair is too long you are unable to dye it unless you move it - If the character has a beard then you cannot do anything to the bottom of a long beard as otherwise it will just select a tool or something. - The tools themselves (especially the scissors) are quite difficult to select for some reason, but that might just be me. (I’m not sure if this is an ipad optimised version or not but i feel that these issues could be solved by just making use of the large screen space.) -It is impossible to draw fine details on the face using makeup as whenever you begin using a tool, the characters head will move and they will change expression. If you draw a straight line across their face you would see a jump in the line where they move. -The characters also pull random expression every now and again but this means that they move their head when they go back to normal. To make sure you don’t mess up, you just need to wait for them to stop which is pretty annoying. But yeah with a few things tweaked this would be 5 stars. Keep up the good work!.Version: 2.1

✓ EhhhI really like this game but there are a lot of things that could be fixed. i like the makeup (i bought it) but it’s forcefully messy like i can’t make a good winged liner without it getting on the eye shadow same for lipstick it gets everywhere. and i think adding a color wheel for the face paint would make it easier for if you would like to make a foundation shade which i have tried but failed to find a color to match the skin tones or just like add for skin tone colors to the wheel thing. also i would like if it was easier to brush like in the other games u could control the hair more but it’s harder now. also i would like if we could have a side view so we can do things like ponytails and half up half down looks. over all i appreciate the work put into this app but these are the things i think could improve it from the other games. ✓ I love this game, except for one thing.As I said above, this is an amazing game and it keeps me occupied all the time. I love the adorable characters and all the kinds of things you can do with their hair. My only problem is the makeup. For one thing, this app showed pictures of characters saying that you can put makeup and face paint on the characters. This was something I looked forward to, but sadly, makeup is EXTREMELY expensive and not free. Another thing about the makeup: most of the things in Toca hair salon 4 (clothes, people, accessories, etc.) are free. I re-looked the makeup portion as it said “do their makeup” in the description and I realised that it has expenses in every add on. ✓ Pretty fun except for a few thingsOverall I thought the game was pretty fun except for the fact that you have to buy new characters with real money. I thought maybe you could add something like every time you finish a hairstyle the people can pay you money (fake game money of course) and you can use that to buy new characters and clothes and accessories. You could also still have the real money purchases but I just thought that would be fun. If you could add this to the game I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate it so much, and more people would probably download the game. Also another thing was I’m kinda annoyed by the fact that you have to PAY for makeup which in my opinion is EXTREMELY annoying. I would like if you could put some starter makeup in there or something that would be cool just like some lashes or eyeshadow or lipstick or something. ✓ Fun but can be a little bit frustrating to the newbies.I love hair and I love doing them on dolls or even online, but when I was a new person to the game it was really really hard to understand it. Sometimes I would even tap on the wrong products and end up shaving someone’s hair off by accident. Also it is limited people that you can do hair on I think that you should design your own characters and do their hair and you can keep on design and designing as much as you want. A lot of the people were limited so if you got done with all of the people it was no one else to do Hair on so you had to do hair on the same people over and over again and that can be a little bit tiring and boring. The music on the game can be really really loud and it hurts your ears. The good thing about the game is that it have so many options for you other than the people. ✓ Quite disappointed 😔I am sorry for this low rating but it needs a lot of improvement, in the nicest way possible it is a total let down because I downloaded to a hair salon 3 and it was amazing 😉 absolutely worth the cost!
