Most of ur games r on my Kendal because I can get the ones u pay for, free on there because I got free time. Now anyway there is a prob,😬u can’t put any makeup, cool stuff, or markings on the character if u don’t get packs. So I feel like it would be 4 or 3 stars if u don’t get the packs. But I am happy because in the past u would have to just pay for the Toca boca HairSalon games but with this version u don’t have to pay u just pay for some stuff if u want. I am happy because they have there right to just charge money in because that’s how they make there living, But they we’re trying to be really nice and just gave u the option to pay for packs if u like the game a lot so thx..Version: 1.8.0

✓ I love this, but...Ok so I’m in love with this game, and it being free! My only problem is that the make up feature costs the same amount as the other game. Its quite expensive, one of the reasons I got this game was because the other one costs money, but I also wanted this game for make up purposes as well as the hair. When I got on the game it make me a little upset that you can even do a little with the character’s makeup. If it was 1.99 or 0.99 then I probably would’ve been able to get the make up, but it’s a little over budget for me. ✓ Great appToca hair salon is a GREAT app. Although there is some features that you need to pay for, you have heaps of options. Like the characters, what you can do to style their hair, and what you can do to give them accessories and a new outfit look. ✓ Fun for all ages but a *few* problems!Omg i used to play ALL the toca games in elementary school. i’m a sophomore in high school now so there’s a LOT of nostalgia with the entire series of toca boca games! if you’re willing to pay a little bit of money (it’s not that bad if you only get a few packs and although i don’t have it, make-up is only 4$) and there’s SOOO much cool customization that is in tune with fashion today! although my one problem is how hard it is to use tools. you have to swipe on screen to look at more tools or go to a different area, but if you’re holding a tool or something if you swipe to move it’ll use the tool! sometimes this is that big of a problem, but i’ve noticed most of the time it COMPLETELY ruins the progress i made and i have to re-do something :( anyway, although it might be the nostalgia for this game dev speaking, this game holds up well and i think they did a good job working with current kids PLUS other ages and their style! i’m giving 5 stars because the tools aren’t *that* bad so if i had to give a more precise rating it would be 4.5/5. keep it up devs, you’re doing great :).Version: 2.1

✓ Very fun and creative game!Great game, I have previously played toca boca world and toca boca dance so thought I would check this one out too. I don’t usually pay for apps you see, but I am very tempted to buy the makeup pack or the starter pack in the shop because this game is so good! You can wash your clients hair, brush it and cut or style it however you want. There are so many different things you can use to straighten the hair, make it curly and make it poofy. You can even make plaits (braids) in the hair and do bunches and fringes. You can also add things like necklaces, hats, different tops, earrings, stickers on the tops and all that. You can dye the hair all different colours! It’s amazing and very fun, especially because you get to pick which characters you can design. It’s very creative and gets you thinking the wackiest of ideas. Highly recommended!.Version: 2.0

I find that when I’m playing the music is obnoxiously loud compared to other apps like if I’m listening to something else and then open this app it overpowers. ✓ This is awesome!I first saw this game when I was on toca world and I had already brought toca hair salon 3 , it was so cool to see that it was free and I was impressed by how much you got. ✓ Positively fantastic!!I am extremely happy with this game. The range of different hair types as well as people of colour and the ability to add beards to those who would look biologically female (and viceversa) allows for a wide canvas of possibilities I couldn’t be happier with. Very inclusive game. And of course, as always with Toca Boca, I was very impressed with the physics, and the characters all react appropriately. I found it very entertaining that I could even shave their eyebrows lol! I haven’t played the previous hair salon games from Toca Boca, so it wouldn’t be fair to compare, but I believe this company creates fantastic games and the 3.99 to unlock the makeup, or the 3.99 to play any other of their games is more than justified for the results I get. I’d love to have the full body showing so you can see the whole outfit and not just the top part. Also, if you do that, please add in shoes! But last time, I also didn’t realise there were more characters then the 4 I thought there were. I played it for a few days, but then I started to run out of creativity😂A great feature would be to have a styling book with a bunch of ideas and hair styles for the player. Another complaint I would have is that they’re are the same people every time I play! I don’t want to have to style the same person's hair every time. It would be great to change the characters every few days or so. My last complaint would be that you have to pay for the makeup! If you shower the character with makeup, it all rubs off and then you have to pay to get more and no one wants to do that. Over all, I think this game could be even better with a few fixes. ✓ Love it, but a little difficultI have loved and played this game for a while, but when I got a new IPad, I had to re-download the app at first I was so excited to play again until I realized that all of the sets I purchased to unlock were locked! I was confused and cliked on the lock to see If I was able to re-purchase the sets. Thankfully the sets were saved but I went to restore them and it said there were no in app purchases I wasn't surprised, but I was not purchasing anything I was just restoring what I had already purchased! However, occasionally it would be nice if there was in game currency. I only mention this because I noticed some makeup the characters in the game wear don’t match with the style or “look” I’m going for. In game currency might allow everyone to buy slightly more natural looking makeup that you can apply for free! For instance: blush, freckles, shimmer eye liner. ✓ Good game but a few issuesThis game is very good 👍 and I was surprised and happy that it was free. You can do lots of things but there's a few issues. 1. If you wet the characters hair over their face, sometimes weird lines appear and you can't get them off. 2. If you try to cut long hair, it switches to different tables and gets quits irritating. 3. Even though it is free, there is in- app purchases. They advertise this in the game ad and kids might be looking forward to doing the makeup and stuff but they won be able to pay for them in the game. ✓ Really cute and fun game, even for adults!Even as an adult, I am having fun with this game, and I can totally see kids having a blast with all the crazy things you can do with the hair! Some criticisms are that I wish the game were easier to style the hair— the shelf is in the way and I keep pressing the tools, even with a stylus. Also I would absolutely love to be able to make hair buns, ponytails, pigtails, and so on. At least with the free version it’s very difficult to create actual styles. Also the makeup should be accessible to free players, or at least cheaper in the shop. I have always liked makeup and hair styling games, but they are all too childish or inappropriate to me; this game is the perfect match for me. I love how you can save your favorite hairstyles and have a lot of creative freedom. Although this game is truly exceptional, I have a few problems. 1) Sound. I usually like to listen to ASMR while playing games because afternoons are really the only time I can wind down and relax since I am in middle school. Usually on most games I can turn off the sounds and music, but I can’t for any Toca game, including this one. I know that you can turn off the radio in the background when you style the people’s hair, but the characters still make sounds, and it disturbs me and keep me from playing this game as much as I want to. For example, I wish that the makeup was free because I saw it in the pictures in the App Store and thought it looked really cool (adding not just hair styling but also makeup). But the main thing I wish was added was something where you can change the eye color. If there was just another section in the makeup station for contact lenses or something to change the color of the irises, that would make the makeup purchase so much better. I got the game and had a great first impression - the advert had catchy music, it was easy to play and it was entertaining. The character looked quite funny! Next, I love how you have different packs for the hair! I can curl, crimp, straighten, plait, wash and dry the hair, which is really funny. When you take pictures at the booth, they pull faces (which I will list here: 🥰😊🧐😌) which makes them perfect for posing. This game has scarcely any flaws! There is a few things I’d like to point out here: - The characters move their heads lots when you are cutting their hair - There is too many packs, all of which cost too much. ✓ Great but a lot of glitchesI love playing the game it’s a great time killer. Some hairstyles for me take between 20 minutes to an hour. Anyways on to the glitches, there’s a lot of them. When you brush the hair sometimes it just keeps going up for some reason. Also, one time after I finished a style, I went back and the picture showed the hair all over the place. Of course I clicked back to see what happened and the hair was now ruined. Another one happened when I was dyeing the hair black or something, but some random bright colored hair started showing up out of nowhere. At the moment I can’t think of anymore. ✓ A few issues I have...The game is fun, I love the graphics, music, and the clients are full of personality in both looks and reactions. My fave is the first client listed, she just seems so sweet. I also love the diversity, and as a queer person I feel like I can relate to a lot of the preset character styles. However, I have one issue, and I feel so bad complaining about this because I know how awful and tedious it is to animate natural looking movements. My issue is how much they move around while I’m applying makeup or cutting/dying their hair. It makes me mess up what I’m trying to achieve. ✓ Loving it, not many problems with it!Toca Hair Salon 4 is a great game for children to truly be inspired to embrace their own ways of beauty! It’s an all out amazing and wonderful game and the character bases are masterpieces of their own. I love how you can save characters and even edit them later, how many hairstyles you can make, change the makeup, and even change their clothes! The photobooth was a great idea too because kids can see all the different poses, backgrounds, and change it up a little bit! However, the three downsides are that you can’t do their makeup without paying money, and I don’t see many adults willing to pay money just for digital makeup that won’t exist if you delete the app and you can’t put their hair up or even turn them around to make some sort of design in the hair also, they’re is plenty of hairstyles, but they aren’t easy to make and not many look that great in the end, but most of all I think that you should be able to do smaller or bigger sections with the hair dye. I think it would be cool to write your name or a heart or just any cool design with the dye and easily do dye it all in one spray. ✓ Amazing game but..Toca hair salon 4 is an amazing game,and i just love it so much, and i play it just about every day, but a few things that i’m having problems with, is that every time i try to subscribe, so i can get new characters and stuff,it just loads,and it says “Connecting ” for about 15 minutes and it’s just rlly annoying, and no matter how many times i close, and reopen the app, it just says the same thing. “Connecting”. Also smth i thing that should be changed in the game is the control of the hair and more clothing options for free, that would rlly make me happy, and something else that i think would be cool, or something that you could maybe add into the game, is the ability to spin around the character so you can see the back, and front of the character. ✓ It’s amazing but could you add these things!!!😍👍The game is great and to buy all of the bundles is not to expensive! I am probably to old for this game but I love it! Some really cool ideas for this game would be to add lip gloss into the makeup pack (if you have already bought it then it is just there) the lip gloss could have different categories like shiny and glittery for example! But it does not cover the lip stick! Another thing that would be so amazing would be if you added a feature where you could take a picture of someone and it turns them into an avatar with their hairstyle their faces and their eyes maybe even their clothes and you can save their clothes to the clothes area. I’ve been playing Toca games ever since I was three, and seeing how much they’ve improved since the OG Toca Hair salon is absolutely awesome but there is a few things I need to mention: 1. The music is quite repetitive, so If you could, maybe add some more songs? 2. Challenges. I had this game for two days and it is super fine. The stuff you pay for it is totally worth it. I am serious. There’s only one thing I would prefer you not do. So when I make a hairstyle there for the character, then they just stick out their tongue and say blah. Kind of rude. ✓ Almost 5 stars.I love this game, I am not a child but I have a lot of fun expressing myself through this game and I think the quality and the art style are gorgeous and I do not mind paying for the extra stuff and it was so cheap I think people need to calm the down there are apps out there that try to get you to spend hundreds on them this app I got every single pack for under twenty so I think it’s fair. However, my only problem is the makeup is very hard to do when the characters keep squishing and moving there faces. It causes lots of smudges and since there is no undo button or anything I keep having to wipe away half there makeup just because of a mistake on one part. I would really like an option to disable face movement while doing makeup it would make the game 5 stars for me, especially since I payed money for the makeup and things I just want to use them properly. ✓ Pretty fun except for a few thingsOverall I thought the game was pretty fun except for the fact that you have to buy new characters with real money. I thought maybe you could add something like every time you finish a hairstyle the people can pay you money (fake game money of course) and you can use that to buy new characters and clothes and accessories. You could also still have the real money purchases but I just thought that would be fun. If you could add this to the game I’m sure a lot of people would appreciate it so much, and more people would probably download the game. Also another thing was I’m kinda annoyed by the fact that you have to PAY for makeup which in my opinion is EXTREMELY annoying. ✓ Like it😬It’s a really fun app! You really use your creativity and imagination. However, there are a few problems. You have to pay for the make-up and some accessories. There are only four people to do hair on. 3 girls and 1 boy. When your finished with all of them you have to start over again on those same people over and over. This can get quite boring. Maybe you have to pay for more people. Instead of using 4 people all over again and again I have an idea. Once you are finished with them you move on to new 4 people and then another 4 people. ✓ Great game!! A little annoying thing.This is an amazing game. It’s great for long car rides (this is the reason I downloaded it) and over all very relaxing. You can cut hair or beards and if you wish to pay £3.99 you can also do makeup. The only thing that annoys me is when you try to cut your beard or hair too long it makes you scroll to the next station. Also you can’t style the back of the head, it’s very annoying! What I think should happen is we can turn the client around and be able to get rid of the part at the bottom like a slider sort of. ✓ Fun with some issuesThe game is overall very entertaining, with a lot of possibilities for customisation. I like that there’s an option to save your favourite styles as this means u can also go back and edit them. 4 out of 5 because I can’t see an option to turn off in-game sounds (i.e. the client voices and the the noises the equipment makes), and these can be overwhelming when trying to play the game whilst listening to music. Also the beard/facial hair set is only available to use once you’ve grown the hair on the client’s face, which is a bit annoying because it has the best comb on it so I wish you could just open up the set without having to grow the hair first..Version: 1.5.0

✓ Decent GameSo I’m a kid and I really love playing toca boca games. I wish they didn’t cost a lot of money though. Which brings me to one of my problems with this app. It costs money for the makeup station. It doesn’t mention that anywhere which made me disappointed. I really would love to do their makeup but my parents aren’t going to let me spend money on a game that once I delete it, the pack is gone. I really wish it didn’t cost money just to do makeup in a game. Also there’s not many choices for clothing, there all the same each time. Then, it’s hard to pick up items or do something with the longer end of the hair because the items are blocking it off. I also think there should be a redo button to make it easier if you make a mistake instead of having to start all over. Overall it’s a good game, so I give it 4 stars. ✓ Great but…I love this game. It’s is absolutely amazing, however, I found an annoying bug. The pre made character on page two in the top left corner has a very light complexion, which I thought was perfect for a Merida character. I changed the hair color, frizzed it up, and even added a short little curly hair in the middle, so reference the scene where her little curl was hanging out of her head cap thingy. I saved her, and was about to add her the the player collection when I noticed half of her hair was buzzed, and that some hair was in a braid. When I added it to the players collection, then opened it, she appeared just as the picture. I tried fixing it time and time again, but it kept ending up with half buzzed and some braided.
