✓ 2 starsThe game has an interesting concept which I do like, but in term of city builder there’s very little choice in what goes where, there are way to many needs for houses and hotels (music, dance, etc) needs to be less, also trying to match them with other houses of the same requirement is very annoying to get everything efficient , your daily and especially 7th day streak rewards are absolutely terrible and not even worth giving out, I do love the bidding system I think it’s fantastic, rent and increasing your rent is great idea, the community chest and chance are really great idea too All in all the housing requirements are flawed and really let the whole game down enough that I deleted the game.Version: 0.5
✓ Pretty fun.. Got Old FastI actually love this game but found myself tired of playing really fast. The game offers many ways to get card packs. These cards can be used to purchase new buildings or upgrade existing ones. I found myself watching ad after ad trying to get as many card packs as I could. After a while, I noticed I was never getting any new homes or hotels. The cards are almost ALWAYS an upgrade. Then you get objectives to complete and they want you to build 5 new homes on a property. This goal is simply unachievable given the game never gives out new cards. The auctions can get pretty ridiculous: Why is the computer constantly raising the bet FAR above the retail price? I can “lose” an auction because the computer continued to outbid me.. then later go back in and pay under the retail price..Version: 1.2.0

✓ NEED MANAGERSI enjoy this game, and the fact that it is clearly not a pay to win game, but the one thing I really hope you guys can fix, or add, are managers for the businesses. I hate having to go in 3,4,5 times a day, and having to “repair” issues with every business. It would be awesome if you guys added 1 manager PER business, and that they cost maybe 50 gems each, since it’s pretty hard to come by gems. If you guys can add this in, I will gladly raise the rating of this game. It’s just annoying, and kind of frustrating (although I know the repairing is easy mini games) to have to repair every few hours. ✓ Really disappointedI have played this game for some months and really like the concept. However I have now stopped playing due to a major issue and the total lack of response from the developer. The issue I have is that I have over 680 upgrades to property showing that I cannot access. The icon for the upgrade is there but there is no option to pay for the upgrade. I have messaged the developer on the app and via email as suggested on other review responses. There has been no response in almost 3 weeks. This is on the back of a major upgrade which has reduced cards awarded by 33% every 4 hours and diamonds have been reduced from 10 every 4 hours to 10 a day! This will mean you would have to purchase diamonds to progress or wait weeks to earn them. I purchased a diamond pack once and it was not delivered. Following no response from the developer on that, I got a refund from Apple. They did reply after 4 days and sent the diamonds, but I had already got the refund. Such a shame as this was a good game, that I played several times a day, however it is broken for me and the lack of response is really disappointing..Version: 1.3.1
✓ Stuck on first missionI’m putting three stars because the concept is great. I’m just having a major problem. My screen gets stuck when it’s time to do the first mission. Literally. It’ll say that I’m ready to do one, I’ll click the flashing icon to open the menu, it’ll go to said menu, and I can’t go anywhere else. I can’t build, I can’t hit Continue, I can’t exit out of the prompt…. I’ve tried uninstalling and redownloading multiple times, I’ve tried force-closing the app, and I’ve even restarted my phone to see if that helps. (It doesn’t.) ✓ Fun game… lot’s of bugsI previously rated this game 4 out of 5 stars. I like all the mini games that allow you to earn more coins that help you reach the higher levels. Since I have reached level 34 it only gives you 10 diamonds and no cards for properties. This game crashes all the time. Watching adds doesn’t give you rewards. Many times it will crash in the middle of auctions or after watching ads you will get a black screen then the app shuts down for no reason. The developers are unresponsive. I have left many messages in the app. Improvements I would suggest; It would be nice if you could buy property packs such as a landscaping package with cash or diamonds, cafe pack, or hotel pack or house package. Now that I have reached level 40 It doesn’t look like you can go any higher. I am disappointed that this game doesn’t work better..Version: 1.5.2
✓ They really want you to buy more content.The game is nice, but the chronic lack of house and hotel supply cards mean that by level 15 entire blocks are left blank for lack of available property. It appears that to correct this you have to wait or BUY more diamonds and then buy more when that runs out. Alternatively you can watch advertisements a million times over for about a year I guess, but thats the point isn’t it, to grind you down so that you shell out more cash. ✓ No option to upgrade some cards!I had fun when I first started playing, but now it’s just pointless. You can upgrade the cards up to 20, but it does not get you anymore in rent. What’s the point in upgrading? Even though you can do up to 20 you still get those cards from card packs. Why? I will pay some games on playing, but not to continuously getting cards that serve no purpose. For 3-4 months I’ve had missions to update 4 or 5 star buildings, but you can’t even get those buildings. Millions of dollars to upgrade when it doesn’t increase the rent? Really? It’s just monotonous. Needs to be some changes to this game or I’m done and moving on. Also the names of the buildings/properties are you telling me you couldn’t do any better? ✓ I was excited for a second…Picture it: it’s the early 2000s and you’re mom comes home with a box of cereal with a PC video game inside. The game: Monopoly Tycoon! After what feels like an endless set up thanks to your slow 1999 Dell Desktop computer, you fire up Monopoly Tycoon and are wowed by the rainbow menu options, the ability to play multiplayer games with your friends! Over the course of three years you play this game over and over and over until the computer dies and inevitably needs to be replaced. Alas, your classic Monopoly Tycoon no longer works on your laptop and you have to say good bye to an old friend. Over the course of the next twenty years, you periodically look to see if anyone else is as obsessed with this game as you are and wonder if someone has successfully made an emulator to get it to work. No such luck… This has been my life. It’s now the year 2022 and while googling “Monopoly Tycoon” to show your fiancée how GREAT of a game it is, you find it’s been remade! For your iPhone! You mean to tell me I can take this game with me wherever I go? Feel nostalgic on the commute? Sign me up! If you’re wanting this game to be a recreation of the original classic, I hate to disappoint you, but this ain’t it. Some of the mechanics are similar! You build homes and businesses on the classic monopoly street squares. And that’s kind of where the similarities end. If you like those idle money building games, this is definitely for you! But it’s not for me. The original game had a campaign story line that you could play. It was a race to the finish line to complete your achievements before your competitors did. There was a winner, there was a loser. This is not like that. Some of the subtle mechanics that I loved (like how some businesses would only make money between the hours of 5pm to midnight, while others only made money between the hours of 5 am to 5 pm) are seemingly non existent in this game. As I mentioned, this game is fine as a stand alone game- if you like the style of this game. There are a couple of weird bugs to the game- like the dialogue from a character asking you to unlock Oriental Ave from the Auction, and then the task is to buy waterworks instead- but all newer games are like that. Again, if you want the original game, you MIGHT be disappointed. You might not be though! Because a lot of people who play iPhone games probably weren’t even alive in 2001!.Version: 1.1.1

✓ OKishKind of a cross between monopoly/SimCity/civilization. Looks gorgeous, has heaps of potential, but there is no option at all to fast forward or pause the game. To make matters worse, things seem to happen when you’re not even playing the game. This makes it really difficult to have a strategic approach and adds to the feeling that you are caught in endless and pointless “busy” work. Having to endlessly repair broken water works, fire stations and schools is tedious. In the end, it is probably too simplistic, with the user left with no idea what impact his purchases will actually make. Grouping certain improvements together should have an effect on your progress…this would work if there were more things unlocked at any one time. As it is, you usually just purchase anything you can because there’s so little to choose from. I suspect if you had a genius and a chimpanzee start a new game simultaneously, they would complete it in about the same amount of time. Surprised there’s no option to buy the game as well, leaving it riddled with advertising….no surprises as to the business model employed here..Version: 1.1.1
✓ I want to love it.Player experience is very bland. I’ve been waiting on this game hoping someone would remake it. The original had customization options on buildings that added to how many people and the worth of your city. This one is a rinse and repeat. I’d love to see a stock market where you could get the cards you need for money in the game. A way to trade between players. Also game play is lack luster because you have to follow the tasks. You can occasionally get 4-star buildings, but 5- stars? In 3 months of religiously collecting all free card packages every 4 hours or so, claiming “Go” rewards, buying card packs with diamonds (which I bought with money), watching ads I only got 1 5-star Building. You pretty much have to buy them (buy that card package which guarantees one 5-star, or pretty much buy all cards from the roulette) which will not be cheap if you think about it. ✓ Constantly crashesI love this game but will be deleting it because it is just unplayable due to the amount of crashes that the game experiences. It particularly crashes when you try to make a purchase using the diamonds, once you restart it hasn’t given you what you bought but has taken your diamonds. Also you are required to get upgrade cards but you can’t because the system crashes at this point. I haven’t been able to play the game for several days, because every time I try to get a new card pack after every four hours it crashes, then resets the counter back to another four hours. ✓ Gets worse with each updateI really enjoyed this game at first for what it is, but each update just makes the game worse and more of a grind, to try and get you to spend money. They’ve reduced the amount of diamonds you get per level by a third (15 down to 10) in the previous update (and with each city having a level for itself, it adds up very quickly). In the most recent update, they’ve now reduced the number of cards you get in the free packs by 40% (from 5 to 3), making it even more difficult to progress than before. On top of that, you now lose a quarter (dependant on the upgrade level, but it’s about that for me at the moment) of your rent, unless you play the mini games every 4 hours, which are just repetitive (especially given you need to do them in each city as well). I don’t imagine they’ll change any of these back, but one can hope, otherwise I’ll probably need to find another game to waste time with..Version: 1.1.0

✓ Lost interest very fastI was really excited when I found this, and I wanted to love it. In fact, I did love it… for about a day and a half. Then it got old. As others have stated, there is little opportunity to build after a certain point, so I have properties that are bare or nearly bare. I have only acquired properties up to Tennessee Avenue. I don’t have the cards to build new hotels or houses, nor am I getting those cards. I primarily get upgrades and occasionally a business, which doesn’t do me much good without hotels or houses. I have three properties that have little to no buildings, but the missions want me to keep buying more properties, and do what with them??? I’m so incredibly disappointed. This one is just a disappointment, computer players are just in the auction to just make you waste more money on cards they can’t even use. ✓ Definitely has potential, but….This game does have some real great potential, but a few things that is making me say good bye to this one. It starts you off with a little currency and thats ok until ya get to an auction to outbid a computer generated sale. I lost nearly all my currency trying to buy a light blue, (oriental ave). Bidding start at 1.5 k. After 7 tries it almost outbid me on all my currency, therefore forcing me to pay real money to continue or wait a day or so for two or 3 of the homes i could buy to complete first two or three tasks. Now i have to wait for the little rent to add up and have nothing to do. Already blocked after first 30 minutes, so this one is purely a dud and being deleted after finishing this review. My message to the app people….”Stop starting off a game with greed”. Thats the quickest way to lose people before they even get started. Game over!.Version: 0.15.5
✓ Cards!This would be a 5 star game if there was more opportunities to get cards you need. Flow was going great until about level 15 or 16, since then just keep getting the same cards over and over or upgrades. While upgrades are nice, it needs to be more balanced with new cards that provide or differentiate various needs. Have not got any new house, condo, cards in about 3 or 4 levels now and is starting to render the game pointless..Version: 1.6.1

✓ Interesting... but a lot of bugs.This game is graphically very enjoyable, my favourite city is Paris, but increasingly I am having a lot of problems with “bugs”; and they’re getting worse, not better. If I want to travel between city I have to exit the game as the city won’t load 100% and I than have to turn off my device and wait for it to turn back on before the game will successfully load the city. The game stalls and kicks me out of the game often when I’m trying to get my allotted free cards and when I reload the game I’m left with no cards and I have to wait another four hours before I can try again.... VERY FRUSTRATING! I have also found that contacting support has been less than helpful..Version: 0.9.4

✓ Maxed upgraded propertiesEnjoy the game but can you fix the upgrade cards? If you’ve max levelled on a property you shouldn’t still get upgrade cards. ✓ Redundant mini games and rent challengeGraphics are great, which is the ONLY reason it gets 3 stars. HOWEVER, the mini games are always the same, waaaay too frequent, and the rent challenge you can’t turn off if you don’t want to participate. I’m getting tired of being put into a rent challenge just bc I’m collecting my rent on my spaces. I don’t want to always be a part of that challenge! I should have the option to not do it. But the only way that I can not do it is if I don’t collect my rent for the whole time the challenge is going on. Which is ridiculous! The mini challenges are exactly the same for each country, too frequent, and just boring. Remove them or put in something different! I’m now almost to the point where I have all of the places on each country! Why not add more to each of them and give it a different look for once? Have an interface that changes every now and then? It’s a shame that it’s such a nice game to look at but the rest seriously needs a lot of updates, not an update every six months 🙄, and MASSIVE INGENUITY in order for this game to become a five star rating..Version: 1.5.2

✓ Like it!I really enjoy playing this BUT what bugs me the most is almost always getting out bid by the fake believe players!!!! Makes me want to delete the game. They bid it up past what the property is worth!! Also tooooo many upgrade cards and not enough hotels or new homes to build. You shouldn’t have to borrow a building from another property you should just be able to build a new one. Need to be able to get more diamonds so you can eliminate a ridiculous mission. Now that the game makes you sign a contract EVERYTHING has changed. You can’t get diamonds every four hours, prices on properties has risen, only get two cards instead of three, price percentage increase on a property went way down and only lasts an hour. The list goes on. I liked the game before you took so much away and was playing on three devices. Since I made first place in the rent o thon on each device at different times I feel like there’s no where else to go so I will begin deleting the app from two of my devices and just continue playing it on only one. Be happy I gave it three stars. If you hadn’t ruined the game I would’ve given it five. The app freezes up a lot!! I have to constantly delete and reinstall it on each device and I only have apple products. I wish this could be fixed. I’m grateful no progress is lost by this but it’s getting old..Version: 1.3.1

✓ The game is okay but lots of things I don’t likeFirst off, I don’t like the fact that there are many upgrade cards and little new building cards. Second off, you should be able to buy a particular building card you want, not just wait till a random card is given to you and hope to get the card you need. What I really hate the most if the bidding, I’ve never won any bid below the market value, it’s always above and it doesn’t make sense to me. You should be able to be lucky a few times to get lower bids but those computers raises the stakes all the time, it’s really frustrating. Also the game lags and makes my phone very hit whenever I play. I really like the game but it’s frustrating to play sometimes. Thanks..Version: 1.5.2
