Superpedestrian LINK Scooters for Negative User Reviews

ScamRode with 2 other friends for less than 30 minutes, everone paid 0,50€ and I was charged 5,30€. Been trying to get in contact and LINK proceeded to refund me the amount to use in the LINK app, instead of my card. A complete robbery. Dont recommend and wont use ever again obviously..Version: 4.0.0

If Comcast owned ScootersI downloaded this since links were dropped in my neighborhood and figured I’d try. Downloaded the app the be met with a $10 down payment and returnable charge with my first ride (terrible already). Take my first ride home a few blocks on a awfully slow scooter. Get off, no option to end ride. At this point my ride was 5min or less. Didn’t get the option to end my ride until 15 min later at which I was asked to show a pic of the scooter. Showed a pic of the inside of my apartment instead since I had left the scooter long ago. Got charged for a 15 minute ride. Terrible UX. Who wrote these requirements?.Version: 3.3.0

Lost power no refundScooter lost power during ride. Had to turn it around and walk it back to a area to park it up. Reported the issue and was informed there wasn’t an issue and the charges were correct. Joke of a set up.Version: 5.3.1

Not reliableI wish this was a reliable service that could allow both individuals and groups to use their scooters/applications, but your time, energy, and money are better spent sadly with Uber or Lyft. Our friends have had so many issues, often with immediate refunds issued, but this does not allow us to rely on link/Superpedestrian at all. I would give zero stars if I could, and encourage our city to invest in better providers and look forward to hearing back from their customer service, as this is the SEVENTH time we have had issues with their platform..Version: 5.1.2

REFUNDI was so excited to ride a scooter since the bus takes long and as a high school student who has work after school it saves time and is way faster to get to my destination. I purchased the scooter and it charges me $15 and I was ok, continued with the process of purchasing and getting the scooter. I payed and all and was ready to hop on the scooter when I noticed that it didn’t want to work, and so I canceled my ride wasn’t charged anything other than the $15 but I’m angry at the fact that I got charged $15 for the use of the scooter in which I was not able to use. I want my money back..Version: 5.3.1

Absolute scam! Please use one of the other applications to get a scooter ride. All of these scooters are the same but this specific app will not let me return the scooter at multiple locations. I spent over 1.5 hours trying to return the scooter but it would not register in any of their parking spots. The support is completely useless and tried to give refund me only partial money 10 dollars. 1/5 of the payment. I do not recommend it!.Version: 6.3.7

Slow trailsI don’t see any fast trails on the map and the last time I rented one , it had fast areas. I like the speed it offers but hate putting along.Version: 3.5.5

Sad that this app is such a dumpster fireI live in Seattle and the Link scooters are the better of the two available. However, this app is an absolute wreck and simply does not work. The first few days I was using it, all was well. I don’t know if an update hastened or what, but the app has absolutely stopped working. The app hangs on the loading screen far too often, it cannot complete whatever the “firmware check” stage is and scooters simply won’t unlock for me because it hangs in the firmware check stage. At the same time, the in-app scooter locating map only works about half the time (often the map is just empty or blank) and about half the time it also hangs while trying to process my payments through Apple Pay or it simply drops the transaction and I have to restart. All in all I’m able to use the app successfully about 1 out of every 20 tries. If you can avoid it, don’t use this service. I rely on the scooters to get around day to day and I simply have had to give up with LINK. It’s not with the headache. Update - wow for like a hot minute this app got better but now it’s literally entirely unusable on an iPhone 12 Mini. Lame..Version: 3.5.4

Works when it wants toApp is constantly breaking, HUGE problem with payment methods. First I had to delete then re add my card every single time I tried to rent a scooter (2 times a day) then it worked for a bit, then it didn’t. Then Apple Pay started working, and now I can’t add or remove any payment methods and every time I try to rent one I get a payment error. Love being able to rent the scooters when this terrible app feels like it wants to work but when it doesn’t it’s the worst. Sort it out please!.Version: 5.1.2

Impossible to find the parkingImpossible to find the parking, paid way over the top for a short ride, will not be using again, very dissapointed. Can’t even put a nickname that you will accept 🤬.Version: 6.2.1

Awful service that doesn’t care about others’ personal propertyLink is a terrible company & service. Watch out and be prepared. 2 riders were racing smashed into my car and sped off. A police report was filed, all the necessary actions taken, but Link has repeatedly declined to respond to emails/claims/calls. Every claim filed with them has been dropped. Every phone call where I manage to get through to somebody, I am lied to and told that somebody will get back to me. This happened a month ago, and still not a peep from Link. Who's going to pay for the damages to my car? This is a service that allows virtually anybody with a phone to operate a scooter and disregard the laws of traffic with no repercussions. They can hop on, screw up somebody else's personal property, and hop off. Without any intervention from Link. Thanks for a miserable experience..Version: 3.6.0

Lime scooters 100% betterDon’t waste your money on this overpriced and slower version of lime scooters. I highly regret using the Superpedestrian scooter.Version: 6.3.1

Doesn’t Work and ExpensiveGo find a Lime scooter. The link app doesn’t work. In a busy area, the app will crash on you 9 times before it works once. It crashed when I was riding so I wasn’t able to take a photo at the end so I got charged even more. Company is too cheap to pay for enough cloud computing or there is a massive bug they dont know how to fix. Also, link scooters have a very slow governor automatically set for your first ride. If you want to go uphill on the first ride, good luck. The electric motor is not powerful enough so you’ll end up having to push yourself up the hill. Overall, it was a headache, not worth it and I ended up being late to my appointment. Lime scooters and the app are 10 times better..Version: 3.3.2

Fun but a darn shameThe pathways in red deer are so pretty we couldn’t go over the cp bridge, from the cp bridge to bower ponds we walked just to get to a safe park zone. Tried to go to heritage ranch too and that was a fail, a darn shame because we’re having a great time until then..Version: 3.5.2

Horrible, use other scootersWas excited to try out these scooters, but don’t waste your money. We were able to unlock a scooter perfectly fine, and the timer began to charge us by the minute. However, since we were in a “no driving” zone (which makes no sense as it allowed us to ride in the first place), our scooter was bricked and unmovable. Okay, not cool, so we decided to end the ride. But we couldn’t. We ended up having to walk the bricked scooter to a “valid” zone, and we were STILL unable to end the ride without calling customer support and waiting for a rep for 10+ minutes. Don’t waste your time..Version: 3.3.4

Ending the ride is a disastrous!!!I enjoyed it when I first rode it today but the parking was very difficult to find. Also trying to end my ride but it’s in a limited parking area, tried to call customer service but it took so long!!!! And still charges me on the ride when I was trying to park. So on the future, I may give this a try, but my ride was supposed to be 93p but it’s £2.20 so I am very appalled!!! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼.Version: 4.0.3

Sadly the best of three in my cityApp and scooters glitch out very often. Either the app won’t let you finish a ride, and your stuck taking photos, waiting take another, wait etc or it says you don’t have funds in the wallet or card on file even if an hour before your Apple Pay was linked up and worked fine and a couple hours later magically works again. When it says you have no card linked or funds in wallet it’s the same as the photo/finish ride you are stuck in an endless loop and restarting the app does nothing. I have even tried restarting my phone. The scooters will randomly decide to lock also sometimes after you unlock and have ridden a block or two. Flashing lights horn honking brakes kick in. Real safe when you are in a busy intersection and the light is about to change..Version: 4.0.1

Very Very Slow RefundsThese new scooters in Nottingham, have now decided to take £5 off your account. I’ve never been more disappointed. It takes weeks for them to refund rides, but they’re so quick to take money out of my account. They should go back to charging £1 then adding on whatever we owe at the end of the ride, that was a much better process with the WIND Scooters. So Please fix this issue promptly..Version: 4.0.6

What a rip-off poor coverage and the scooter doesn't unlock most of the timeCOST £2.65 for 10 minutes what a rip-off and £1 unlocking now is more expensive then taking the bus where I can get all-day tickets for only £2.50 There is no scooter to be found even when there is a scooter left most of them refuse to unlock and it switches to a slow zone even when I am riding on the main roads this is super dangerous because there is high-speed traffic is moving along and the Scooter randomly slows down half of Nottingham city not within the coverage area please extend the coverage to fit west Bridgford, Gedling Arnold Chilwell Toton Beeston Rise park Ruddington Edwalton these places are within the city area of Nottingham what's the point of having these scooters if it doesn't go more than half of the city please fix all of the above than it with worth RIding for.Version: 5.0.6

Inexplicably RestrictiveIn my city, Austin, there are three scooter companies - bird, lime, and now link. Comparing their coverage maps link is by far the most restrictive, massive swaths of areas around the city are entirely off limits for parking and driving. Somehow both the other apps are able to avoid such restrictions. Link is almost impossible to ride through downtown because for a solid ten blocks the only viable street to travel east/west is 6th, which is a one way street. I don’t know how the other scooter companies have figured this out, but link is unusable with these areas where it will shut you’re scooter off, and not allow you to park..Version: 3.3.2

Helmets?New scooters have now helmets - only used it today as had helmet with me as took bike for service - would not use without helmet and don’t cart one around generally!.Version: 4.0.2

Decent experience however lacking in safetyMy overall experience with my first ride I’d say was a 7/10. First off you get zero instructions on how to start riding the device or operate it safely near pedestrians and vehicles. The idea that people who may have never even rode a bike are zooming on side walks is pretty terrifying. The safety geo fencing is a nice feature however it’s far from perfect. You get a nice beep when you enter a speed controlled area or when your out of bounds but guess what!? you are paying the whole time for the ride you are out of bounds and you have to push it manually !! The “bell” is also a joke. I’ve got a louder bell on a mountain bike and trying to hear the included bell in any urban area is unrealistic. The device itself was great (First weekend the service was available, Hartford CT) great acceleration , top speed, handling and breaking. The lack of training for safely operating the scooter is unfortunate , even a 2 minute video before it lets you ride would be great and I’m amazed the service is able to legally operate without it. Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen..Version: 3.3.2

Wrong informationI used first time yesterday for 2 pass per day, it was 3.99 and the scoter was stopping couple times when I was using, there were not support information on the app and end of the night they charged me almost 20, they just saying first right 15 minutes it is free not the pass. Guys, you are not able to reach customer support and clear answer. I don’t recommend this app,.Version: 5.3.0

App doesn’t work properlyI have been trying to do the age verification and it just doesn’t work, contacted them didn’t get back to me until now, awful customer service. Wind should have never done a collab with link as the wind scooters are better and the app is easy to use..Version: 4.0.2

Let downI have tried so many times and literally wont let me verify my id. I have contacted customer service and they literally just told me to do exactly what ive already done. I dont think it recognises the new UK driving licence which is stupid because they have been around a year longer than the link app.Version: 4.0.6

App is super buggyI’ve been using these scooters for the past 2 weeks while I’ve been in Seattle for business. The app seems to be overridden with bugs and weird UI issues (I’m using an iPhone 11). These bugs resulted in me getting overcharged and inconveniences (spent 10 minutes trying to reload to reload the app so it would even acknowledge I had an ongoing ride while some of my partners were waiting for me inside a restaurant). The refund flow was so terrible I didn’t even bother! Save yourself the time and just use Bird, Lyft scooters, or Limes. So much easier use and it’s just a better UX in general..Version: 5.2.4

Fundamentally flawedI tried to park the scooter in a legal zone where I’ve parked Veo scooters many times. This app incorrectly said I can’t park there; fine I’ll move it. However I had already locked the scooter to a bike rack and there was no way to unlock it from the app or via a button!! So then I had to call customer support, which was helpful, but I wasted 15 minutes on this kafka-esque nonsense! If they cannot even program the parking zones correctly or have the foresight to put an unlock button like every other scooter, it makes you wonder what other corners they are cutting. Cannot recommend and will avoid from now on whenever there are other options..Version: 3.5.3

Easy to use - a bit pricey thoughDiscovered these in Fuerteventura. Seemed very practical and a good idea. Was surprised by the pricing afterwards… about €5.50 each journey of 20 mins.Version: 3.9.0

ScooterReally slow.Version: 5.2.4

Always a problemIn my experience of use for about 6 months there is more often than not an issue with the scooter functionality usually leading in it taking more time and effort than its other transport counterparts.Version: 5.0.6

No-Ride zone still inaccurate!I live in Chicago, and the app thinks there is a massive no-ride zone everywhere downtown - so there are no scooters near me, since I live downtown… along with hundreds of thousands of other people. The no-ride zone was in place last year, but not anymore. I’ve reported this in to the app and even fought through an automated assistant to get to a (hopefully) live representative, and the app still thinks there’s a huge no-ride zone everywhere in downtown Chicago! How on earth do they expect to make a decent profit on their license in Chicago when the other 3 scooter companies have all updated their apps and are getting all the scooter rental business in the middle of the city?? All they’re getting is outlying area business - what kind of company is this???.Version: 6.3.2

AwfulRandomly stopping and not being able to get going again despite being in a designated ride zone and then having to walk it all the way back to its parking zone. Wasted an hour. Awful awful awful.Version: 5.1.0

Worst scooter serviceMy friend and I tried to rent these link scooters in Seattle. It kept saying there was an error and would direct me back to the Home Screen where it said “scan to ride”. My friends had her take a safety quiz and opened up a screen verifying different things before the ride. Her app would get stuck on the last one. Since we experienced trouble with the apps and it never confirmed a ride we ended up ditching the scooters since it didn’t show we were actively riding. 45 minutes later I get a charge on my account. When I call customer service the lady asks me why I didn’t end the ride. I told her my app didn’t give me the option as it was on the screen to start a ride. She said I should have called right then and there. Why would I need to call if it never gave me confirmation that a ride had begun??? I’m still waiting for a refund. Stick with Lime in my opinion..Version: 3.2.1

HorribleWe came to the beach with the plan to ride these scooters. (1st time ever) wouldn’t cut on until we walked them almost a half mile yet the meter was running. Messaged “link” about another that accepted my card and charged me but didn’t work. Didn’t get an email until I was well away from the scooter asking me to go back and take a picture. Firstly that’s not my job to check your broke scooter. I advise anyone to never ride these vehicles. I can’t say which are better but link scooters are awful.. anyone that I see riding those I will advise hence forth. Horrible experience.Version: 3.8.0

Très difficile de trouver un stationnementNous avons perdu 10 minutes à trouver un stationnement! Prendant ce temps le compteur tourne…...Version: 6.3.5

Terrible, when things go wrongI come up to the end of my journey and couldn’t park, even though it was clearly marked on the floor as a parking bay for the scooter. The app continuously charged me. I checked my location on my phone and it said I was in the right place on the app I was a street down. I never write reviews, but I was so annoyed. These things are meant to be easier but they put so many restrictions that when you’re a genuine user, it doesn’t work properly for you..Version: 6.1.1

Scooter shuts down without warning.I was kind of excited these scooters had appeared in my town. Rented one and took off. Got about a block and it shut down. I was going down hill so I just coasted for quite a ways. Thought it was a glitch so went to end the ride and was going to start a new ride. Nope! Can’t end the ride! It tells me I’m outside of the travel zone. Really?!? Worse, it continues charging me and insisting that I need to push the scooter way back up the hill. I don’t work for Link and I’m not pushing their scooter anywhere. Later found out they’ve arbitrarily set their zone to cover certain residential neighborhoods but not others. That would’ve been a pretty important fact to emphasize PRIOR to rental. I picked it up in one residential neighborhood and was simply riding over to another. Since I couldn’t end the ride I’ve been ripped off on the amount charged. Well, they got my money but never again. Deleted the app. Done..Version: 2.0.7

Worst app everHave to sign in every time I use the app. Payment doesn’t work whether I use Apple Pay or credit. Can’t finish a ride when it does work because I’m “outside the operational zone” even though I’m parked next to other Superpedestrian scooters. Rubbish..Version: 5.3.1

Bad experience. First and LAST ride.I was happy to find a Link scooter on my daily route. Downloaded the app, attached my debit card, went through the process to get things rolling. After about traveling about 30 yards, the scooter shuts off and tells me I’m out of its operational zone. I tried driving it the opposite direction- well out of my way, to see if it would operate that way. Short time later I get the same message. Apparently these things only operate within a couple block radius. I was simply trying to ride it to the closest Metro (Subway) station. I would have gladly paid more to ride if it let me. Tried to file a complaint and was told my scooter doesn’t exist. Ended up wasting about 15 min of my life I’ll never get back..Version: 3.1.0

SCAM DON’T DOWNLOADI used to use Link pretty regularly a year or two ago, but recently my car was in the shop so I needed to use a scooter again. I downloaded the app, put in my credit card info, and then the app wouldn’t work. It just gets stuck on the “When LED is white, GO” screen as soon as I open the app. So great the app is non-functional, but it’s not a scam right? WRONG! I looked at my credit card history yesterday and lo and behold, Link had charged me a little over $5 without my consent! It wasn’t a ride charge or anything, I still haven’t gotten to ride! Scam scam scam scam scam!.Version: 3.9.0

Took my money and did no serviceI wanted to use these as a fast way to go home since I saw some when I was on my way to go somewhere and I downloaded the app and it charged me $10 but after I knew what it was for it I was okay with it. The scooter was dead and I wasn’t charged which I was really glad I wasn’t so I went to another scooter which I saw and decided to do use that one with bigger hopes that it would work. I got it to turn on but it didn’t accelerate and I had to push it. It charged me another $10 and then charged me $1.64 for the 2 feet that I moved. Really not happy with this and as a high school student I wasn’t really happy with how it just kept on taking my money! I was really excited to go on one of these but it just became a really disappointing moment. Please give me a refund and give me back my money..Version: 3.8.3

No range of serviceEvery other scooter rental in town will let me end a ride in front of my centrally located apartment, so i had no reason to think LINK would be different. i signed up, found a nearby scooter, and headed home, only for the thing to start beeping and stop working on a busy road. thankfully i was in a bike lane and not the left turn lane i had just been in. still, by the time i could stop safely (with no power), i was a decent walk away from the edge of the service area, so i had to pay to walk the scooter away from my destination. i’ll just grab a lime from here on out, which i can take all over town..Version: 3.5.2

App is laggingApp is not very responsive or intuitive. Lags when ending rides and fails a lot of the time. Hard to report when scooters are broken. Roads are unsuitable for use in my local area..Version: 6.2.2

Unreliable60% of my rides in recent weeks have been unusable. Most of the time I find myself having to push the scooter for a considerable leg of the journey because I can’t get any acceleration, just to find a parking spot. Constant login issues and bugs means that you might be stuck at the parking space for an extra 10 mins trying to finish the ride too. Given how unreliable these scooters are now, Im not going to bother using them - more hassle than they are worth and I’ll likely get to my destination faster by walking..Version: 6.1.0

Expensive now!!!Used to love these scooters, where very good value for money and enjoyable to ride. Now since updating the app they have now introduced £1 unlocking fee and double the amount charge per minute compared to the 12p per minute they used to have. Sort your prices out!! Cheaper getting an Uber at this point.Version: 5.0.0

More expensive in Nottingham than ZurichI’m between both cities and can’t believe Nottingham of all places is more expensive than Switzerland. It’s cheaper to buy a return bus ticket than use the scooter one way for 0.9 miles.Version: 5.0.5

ParkingAll places for parking are too far from my final destination. The last time it didn’t register the parking place although I parked it in a place which had the sign for parking..Version: 5.1.0

App not workingI ride these scooter to and from the metro daily. Usually no problems but today I tried three scooters that had a green light and kept getting error messages. Then once I finally got one I got to my destination and the app crashed and logged me out and I couldn’t end my ride and missed my next ride on the train! I had to restart the app and it wouldn’t work. I’ve also had another time where it worked and timed out and still charged me over $1. The app is so glitchy and not smooth almost makes me not want to use this app but it’s the only scooters that work around my job! I need help please.Version: 3.2.0

Restricted zones don’t make senseRed deer has beautiful pathways. My ride ended in the middle of the kin kanyon path because I was out of zone. What a shame. Please fix this..Version: 3.5.1

Good, when it worksRelentless and frequent issues getting these to work. From software glitches that prevent activation, to issues with the scooters themselves losing power during a ride. The most unreliable scooters I’ve used..Version: 6.2.2

InconsistantAlways having to log in every time i open thw app. Freezes on scanning screen often. Often fails to complete payment even though the initial amount shows as pending.Version: 5.2.4

So stupid!!!Usually never write reviews but this one was so annoying i just had too,Theres too much red tape!!! why do you need my id?! theres no reason for it! seriously! left my wallet at home and it demands you to take a picture before you can scan and ride otherwise it will not allow you to ride which is extremely unnecessarily annoying! was thinking of trying to ride of these scooters that are everywhere to save some time but NOPE! the amount of time it takes to sign up is unnecessary it needs to be as convenient as point and click, ride but nooo! never mind it late out, app wants me to stand around verify email, add funds, woah there cant ride unless we see some id because screw you thats why, was so ready to just throw that scooter in the creek i was near… I might still. definitely getting a refund. DO NOT RECOMMEND IF IN A HURRY..Version: 5.2.0

DangerousThese can be hired but turn off when driven 50m in one direction as it is out of area. Cannot be driven on the pavement, but have no indicators to safely drive on the road!!! They also have to be parked in dedicated locations which are no where near where you might want to go. I’m not convinced these are anything other than a gimmick..Version: 6.2.1

Leaves my bank account in minus figuresOverall it’s fine it works quite well and does the job, but the fact that it’s starting to take away the fair from your card IN ADDITION to the £5 pending transaction is a pisstake. If they charged you what your rides worth or made the pending transaction £1 or even just returned the £5 on the day, it would be perfect..Version: 5.3.1

Most unfriendly user friendly device everTried to take us a mile from the restaurant we were at back to our hotel. Went to Park and apparently you can only park in certain parking zones. Attempted to park five different times within the appropriate parking zones and it kept telling us we could not finish the ride because it wasn’t the right zone. Finally found the “appropriate zone” and it still would not turn off. In addition, the original bike that I tried to scan never worked in the first place and I got charged for the entire night..Version: 6.3.0

29min, charged me 24$ usdE-bike have problems to turn on, then didn’t show fare at all, 29min changed me 24$usd.Version: 6.3.5

Stupid price changeThey’ve upped the prices and added an unlock fee which adds up too quickly, I used to be able to commute to my work for about .84p and now the journey costs around 2.60, I don’t think this is going to be my first choice anymore, this is a last resort.Version: 5.0.1

Terrible scooters and terrible app instructionsGot a scooter ride to find out that the battery was dead in the first 2 mins but was still charged for the 5 min base and there is no straight-forward to ask for a refund even despite searching for refund in the help section. Obviously, they don’t care to put it because I doubt this is not a common issue others would face. Also the instructions are terrible! They flash on the screen for 2 seconds without even giving enough time to read them. Terrible experience over all.Version: 6.3.4

Very poorSo many issues - suddenly stopped working when the other one didn’t. Wouldn’t let you finish and charge you constantly when I had to push the thing to a different spot so I could finish. When it stopped, I had to find another which charges you extra to take another… the phone number for help has no support and the email gave us no reply. If they had been reliable they could have been fun but they weren’t and they ruined a day as we struggled to get back from our trip..Version: 5.0.5

Lime is betterThe repeated safety quizzes are annoying and enough to always use Lime if it’s an option. The scooters do not coast—they start to break as soon as you let off the accelerator—maybe it’s to recharge? That’s annoying while riding, but also a problem while trying to park—you can either manhandle your scooter into a good spot (because it’s breaking while you try to roll it) or attempt to use the accelerator, which is unsafe while trying to “park”—which is ironic given all the safety quizzes. And a thing that makes that worse is the accelerators are very “all or nothing.”.Version: 5.2.0

LINK is terribleAfter renting the scooter on a cold windy day, I decided to take a break and grab some food. The app would not load my current ride, and I had to wait 10 mins for it to show back up in the ride history tab. They charge per minute, and this felt like a scam. Additionally, they do not tell you that there are parking restrictions and dead zones throughout the city, making it significantly harder to ride the scooter where you please and return once finished. Overall, I would not recommend to anyone. Superpedestrian should be ashamed of their offering..Version: 4.0.6

Stole my moneyI took a 10 minute trip and when I tried to end the ride in a designated drop-off zone the app would not let me. Eventually after many attempts the cancel ride option disappeared and I was charged for over an hour of riding. The app made it impossible for me to end my ride and charged me 6 times the amount it should have. This is a follow up to my review. I usually never do this, but since I contacted their customer support for help they have done absolutely nothing to help me with my issue. If you have any issues GOOD LUCK their customer support is nonexistent..Version: 3.7.2

Not worth itProblems with the app: On my first ride, it took five tries to submit the photo at the end, the entire time the clock was still running. On my second ride, when I tried to end the ride, the app said there was a problem with the reservation and I couldn’t end the ride until a few minutes later, and the clock was still running. Problems with service: By having a wallet instead of charging by ride, you no longer want to use the service and there’s still money, there doesn’t seem to be a way to get your balance back. Two rides of about half a mile each were both about five bucks, which is a lot for such a short distance. Problem with the scooter: There doesn’t seem to be a good suspension, both rides were very rough (as compared to the Lime scooters I’ve ridden. Based on my experience, I won’t be using the service again..Version: 2.1.9

Original (Wind) was betterUsed to have the wind app which was great, everything loaded quickly and handled the locations a lot better plus it had a pause button which was useful. This app is slow as anything sometimes taking 5 minutes to park which is so bad, it also now costs more than the bus so apart from it being fun to use a scooter it’s pretty pointless.Version: 5.0.7

Misleading app.The scooters are alright. A little slower and lower quality than bird, but also cheaper so that is fine. However the app is misleading in a few places. One is if you purchase a pass there is no place to simply use the pass. Nor are there instructions on how to use it. When you scan the next scooter it says “pay now” as if it’s not allowing use of the pass and will charge you if you start. Then, if you take the risk of being charged it says “use pass”. Additionally, if you put money in your wallet which logically seems like you could use YOUR money in a wallet specific to LINK you could use it for anything within their platform. It won’t allow you to use it on passes. Only minute to minute rides. Something that is hidden in terms and conditions..Version: 5.3.1

Too many notifications you can’t opt out ofI want to like this app. I live in Seattle and use these scooters all the time. However I HATE using this one and actively avoid interacting with it because it’s incredibly unstable, has an unreliable GPS, will kick you out and start you over, and takes forever to unlock. However, by FAR my biggest complaint is that the app constantly notifies you of “deals” and marketing garbage and there is no way to turn them off in the app. I have considered totally deleting this app because it won’t leave me alone..Version: 6.1.0

If there is another option, choose itLong, arduous setup, credit card only payment method. After 10 minutes of standing with my credit card out in the middle of the city (because the app doesn’t accept Apple Pay or PayPal, and failed several times during setup), with the app asking for too much personal info, the app told me the scooter was broken and there wasn't another nearby. Scanning the scooter was the first step, and it could have saved me a lot of annoyance by telling me this at the start. In the end, I downloaded a competitor’s app that had a 30 second, simple setup and accepted PayPal. You deserve better than this app..Version: 5.2.0

Not with the costLike most things the scooters started out as a way to combat the high costs of getting a bus around Nottingham and were cheaper to get than the NCTX busses. Recently the prices have increased which makes them cost more than getting a bus. It is already cheaper to park in most places than it is to get the bus which makes the scooters pointless. If the end goal is to replace cars or public transport the costs need to reflect this..Version: 5.0.5

Poor Customer ServiceMy phone died just before I could end a ride. Seems like this should be a pretty common issue and that they should have a solution in place. The scooter continued to accrue time for 4 hours after a 10 minute ride, and I was charged $120. I’ve been back and forth with their customer service team, and they were only able to refund half. The scooters work fine, but in the event an issue takes place, they are not prepared. I highly recommend you stick to one of their competitors, Bird or Lime scooters..Version: 4.0.6

Not in a good stateThe whole service has been good in the beginning. However recently, it has been a gamble to get a working scooter. The app is not working properly either, no matter if you update it or use it on different phones. It is a bit scammy to charge for 4 minutes for a journey that took 3. It’s not about the £1-2 extra. It’s about the reliability of the service. In addition, the service is terrible if your scooter stops working mid-journey. There is no option for an emergency stop/parking. It does allow you to stop the timer so it will stop charging you..Version: 6.2.2

Bad SetupRide zone are set y so poorly, rides continuously disconnect. Will use other vendors instead. Waste of money..Version: 3.6.0

ScooterTerrible. Kept turning off, wasn’t quick. Was being passed by other brand scooters.Version: 5.2.4

Terrible customer serviceMe and my girlfriend were both subscription users Of the wind scooters in Nottingham for over a year and they were brilliant. The switch to wind has changed all of that. We waited over a month for our new scooters without any warning the current ones were blocked. When you ring customer service they say ‘what do you want me to do about it?) this has been said on separate calls both to me and my partner. They promise you calls back and never do. I still haven’t had a call and started a complaint at the start of December (it’s not 7th Jan). Having finally received my scooter today I can say that are a downgrade from the wind. Brakes and suspension no where near as good. Having spoken to others we are not the only ones to have these issues either. It’s such a shame the council force you to use this one company only. If there was fair completion they would have to improve or would loose all custom..Version: 4.0.2

Don’t. Just don’t.Activated scooter only to find out it was outside of the zone. The scooter didn’t work, and when I tried to cancel the ride within a minute, it wouldn’t let me because it was outside the zone. It continues to charge my credit card and I can’t get a hold or get any response from the company..Version: 3.6.0

Total Rip OffThe Link App told me I was on the scooter for 13 minutes. It does not take 13 minutes to ride up Avenida Italia. It doesn’t take 13 minutes to walk backwards up Avenida Italia. In total it cost over 3€. A taxi would be cheaper!!! They clearly make up the prices as they go along and charge whatever they want. App deleted and will never use them again.Version: 3.8.1

Link scooters don’t not fast barely go 1/2 a mile an hourThe link scooters don’t work I activated one and I pushed and pressed the button but it didn’t work so I got another one and it was the same. It is so slow I have to push the scooter and when I press the button it does nothing all you can do with it is push and ride then push and ride and it’s so heavy that it’s nearly impossible. It says on the app that I’m on a green zone so I’m okay but why does the scooters go so slow and the button not work? The battery was even full on the scooter. This is not a complaint comment but just a comment to know how to use these scooters because the buttons don’t work..Version: 2.3.3

The Purple Zone 😐I just started a new job in the skid row area. So this morning for the first time I decided to upload the link app and ride a link scooter to work. I enjoyed the ride very much. I am impressed how well the Link scooter handles. It’s very sturdy, quick on take off and gives a very smooth ride. But sadly that’s where my good review ends. Like I said I wanted to ride the scooter to work but when I did I could not END the ride. Because I was in The Purple Zone. So I had to ride a half a mile away from my job in order to park it and END my ride. Then I walked a mile back, late for work. A waste of time. I’m from New York City. So I have seen my share of bad neighborhoods. I know people are scared to enter skid row to pick up the scooters. And it has something to do with discrimination against poor neighborhoods. A lot of zoning laws are going on here. I’m sorry to say I will not be riding Link scooters no more..Version: 3.9.0

Parking places?Hi so these scooters are really good for when you want to get somewhere quick without having to wait, but I’ve been experiencing an issue recently with the parking. In my area the known places you can park are not on the map anymore, I haven’t been notified or anything to tell me why that has happened. Because of this I’m having to travel an extra couple of minutes to find a parking place for the scooter which is costing me more money and sending me 10 minutes away from my house which I then have to walk back to. Please sort this out, it’s a mess..Version: 5.1.2

Good luck finding one to workMaybe half the scooters in my area work due to many people hating them and throwing them on sidewalks, dumpsters, or bushes. You will still get charged for a scooter ride even if you unlock one and it doesnt work at all. Despite the app seeing that the scooter did not move, you still have to pay up for a broken piece of junk. If the equipment was halfway maintained or there was an option to get back a ride credit on broken equipment, it would be better. The entire concept is a low quality cash grab catered to drunk college kids..Version: 3.4.0
