✓ Freezing issuesEnjoyed the game but by the time I got to over level 100 it constantly froze. So I got sick of this and deleted it. Also hated how it would sneak in a purchase request between games when you were expecting to hit “retry” instead it would sneak in a purchase that you easily accidentally selected then had to cancel, almost purchased things numerous times. ✓ Ads, Agenda, ManipulationThis is my second review - the first one was taken down or never put up. There are ads during the game to both continue to the next level and to be able to acquire a weapon, there are ads after every level AND during the game as you are running out of balls (on the harder levels you are always short of them) and you have to watch an ad to get enough balls to finish that level. And while you may be able to play the game without buying anything you cannot play the game without watching an excessive amount to advertising. I play games to get away from the daily political chaos and now there is creeping political messaging in the advertising. I do like the concept of the game but the issues I have stated will force me to delete the game..Version: 21.0409.00
✓ Disappointing amount of ads.I enjoyed playing this game but the ads got increasingly long. About two minutes of gameplay (amount of time it takes to play one level) resulted in a one minute ad! I understand having to support the app and I was ok with ones that lasted 30 seconds but that was ridiculous. Had to delete a fun game. ✓ Quickly Losing Interest in this GameI’ve been playing Bubble Pop Origin for several months. I became frustrated by all the ads and payed extra for “ad-free” play. I really enjoyed the game at first, but like most app-based games now-a-days, the further along you get in the game, the more and more you must rely on in-app purchases and/or voluntarily watching ads to get additional tokens and tools (i.e., bombs, rockets, etc)., in order to progress further in the levels. When you complete a level, the app gives you gold coins in a piggy bank, but unless you pay a fee for the extra-large piggy bank, you’re capped at 1000 gold coins. But what are those coins for? They’re different than the coins you spend to extend play on the puzzles, and I don’t see anything in the app to indicate what a player can purchase with those piggy-bank coins. I also find it extremely annoying that the app constantly “pimps” the player to purchase token/tool packages! I am at the point now where I’ll probably play the game until I run out of tokens and tools, and them remove the app from all of my devices. To the developers: Thanks for a nice game! ✓ Ads now rather a disincentiveHad this for a long time now on phone and iPad. The game itself is great but in the last few months the length of ads has increased significantly and the ability to get past one in less than a minute and without several declines is now very frustrating. ✓ BE CAREFUL WHEN EXITING LEVELNot a fan of this version of bubble pop. Not only is it not as fun as other versions, they try to sneakily make you pay. After each level, you must press the “Continue” button on your stats report. Every 2nd or 3rd game there will be a pop up about buying chips in the EXACT same location. Therefore, when you think you’re pressing “Continue” you’re actually pressing “Purchase.” Thankfully I have my Apple account set to where it requires two password before purchasing anything through my credit card. If I did not have this setting, I would’ve spent at least $50 on in app purchases. This game also feature ads unlike any other game I’ve ever played. The ads are ridiculous and they place the extremely small “X” button in a different location each ad. Deleted this game after playing a few days. ✓ Buggy andThe game is good but it’s really buggy and freezes all the time, which is annoying. Also the ads have sound even though I’ve turned off all sound in the app. This is very inconvenient and awkward at times. ✓ Not acceptableI can’t comment on how good the game is because I didn’t get that far. This is because I took the time to actually read the t&cs, and found them unacceptable. Unless you are prepared to agree to receiving personalised ads based on your activities (i.e. being spied on) you can’t play the game. Pity, as the other reviews sounded good. But this is an unacceptable deal breaker for me. I don’t mind games displaying ads (developers must make a living) but to do so by infringing my rights to privacy is not on. ✓ Non stop app issuesNon stop issues, it gives double adds and forces me to sit through them even when they’re not the required ads. It forces me to sit through as many as three ads at a time, and freezes on almost every single ad. Ads are the rewards. They’re they’re to make the game more fun. In settings there isn’t even a place to trouble shoot the app, there’s nothing, no help, and assuming no customer service. It used to be a great addicting game. That is now just trash and I’m going to delete the app permanently if somebody can’t fix it. This is aggravating. There should be some kind of way that we can get help with apps. Please do better. ✓ NOT QUITE AS SHOWN IN THE TRAILER…This is a good game until levels 100+. After which it became too difficult. Not once did I see the level that tempted me to download the game and I imagine that the level advertised would be level 1 billion? I do have low vision, but I’ve never struggled with a bubble game before and this version has a colourblind mode which helped very little. The colours are not defined enough and someone pointed out that they also have a symbol on, but this is so feint I barely see it. Here’s a tip if you intend to stick with the game and actually even if you don’t, it is well worth paying the small amount to stop all the ads. ✓ Good time filler but...Good time filler as usual annoying ads but cheap enough to buy and get rid of all but the game add-ons. Annoying flawed once in a while by changing ball colour, not eliminating set of three and the occasional ghost item glitch. These are rare but it almost feels planned like the game is working to see you fail. ✓ I love it and hate it!When I first started enjoying this game I really did truly enjoy it and like a good sport, I spent some money as a way to thank them for their product which I was enjoying. After I did that two times, the game changed significantly and my choices and my ability to win rapidly declined and I find myself getting more and more frustrated with the obvious algorithms that have been built into these games to make it increasingly difficult to win the longer you play it… I totally get it but I’m a little different than most, I will spend a little money when I’m playing a game like this because the developers have to make a buck I get that but that generosity seems to have an opposite impact upon my enjoyment of the game because it’s now unlike in the past, nearly impossible to win many stages. ✓ Used to be amazingI’ve played this game for over 3 years now and it used to be amazing but recently they’ve stopped giving the “+3 moves if you watch an advert” chance and not giving you enough bubbles for a level so you’re forced to buy coins to get more bubbles to complete a level (I’m talking levels where there’s 200 bubbles to pop and you’re only given 10 bubbles to work with, so literally impossible without in app purchases) They’ve now stopped giving free spins and free coins altogether. So I was being sold on the idea of the game that I was ALREADY PLAYING but had to finish the demo in the ad for the game to get back to the identical game that I already had. How stupid is that? ✓ Too many adds. Questionable business practice.It's a fun game, as all of this type of game are. What bothers me though is the constant ads. Every other level? Ad. Close the app to quickly reply to a text? Ad. ---- When you reach a 'hard' level (which by the way are usually easier than the other levels), you tap on the play level, it comes up with the level details and the play button. As you go to tap play? A 'special offer' pops up (this has happened to me on every hard level so far, so it's not that special!!) The buy button is positioned right over the play button, so you frequently go to buy the package thag is on 'offer' instead of playing the level. Fortunately on my phone with face if, I have to verify it by double tapping the lock button, then using my face. On a phone with touch id? You might not be so lucky if your finger is positioned near the home button. I am deleting the app and will be reporting it for trying to trick users in to making purchases..Version: 21.0615.01
✓ Too many adsUsed to love this game but the ads have gotten out of control. They are longer (30+ seconds, with an X out, then another 10 second count down and an X out), and more frequent. Even the most skilled player needs to watch two ads to advance. I’d rather pay to play it without ads. ***Update: I bought the option “remove pop-up ads”. Big mistake. It only removed the ads at the end of a level, not at the beginning of a level. So it’s now even more difficult to complete a level and almost impossible to do without watching the pre-level ad. I just to play about 20-30 levels a day. I now maybe play 1-2 every second day because of all the ads. ***Update: I’ve contacted customer care to restore my pop-up ads (god help me), but no success. ✓ Fun game but greedy developersI love this game and you can spend hours on it. End of day if you don’t keep pumping money into it it becomes impossible, that ruins the game. Every 2 second adds to buy money comes up. I bought premium pass expecting a one of payment like it says. It last 2 days then got to buy it again. The hard levels are not hard just they make it less moves and impossible to do unless spending multiple $7.99 on the in game pop up money scams. If it was not like that and could actually win without spending money then it would be worth 5 star, hate greedy developers. ✓ Huge problemsI love this game but there is a little problem, you get an advert after every game and you can earn that many things compared to panda pop and also when I was past a couple of levels my screen went black and to continue the game I have to turn my iPad of and on again, I would rate it a 1 only because of all the little problems there are and also there are extreme hard levels they are so hard you have to use all your bombs so I wouldn’t recommend this to people who don’t like hard stuff. ✓ Underhand in-app PurchasesThe game itself is good. Often with Bubble Pop style of games, it gets to a point where the difficulty gets too much but not with this game. The reason for my two star rating is that they place in-app purchases in places you need to click to proceed. For example, when you click for the next level, a pop-up for a purchase will quickly appear in the exact same spot causing you to click it if you’re not careful. ✓ Mandatory updates. Why?I've been playing bubble pop for a number of years. Now all of a sudden I have to do mandatory updates?? I'm not interested in the mandatory updates. I feel that this takes away from the game and you've taken a lot of extra abilities to win extra bubbles to be popped. It's getting somewhat annoying trying to keep up with it all. It used to be a fun game and you always had opportunity to try and keep going now you've taken all the extra way. Choices that make the game not interested in playing any longer. Levels that are impossible to win on after 40 or 50 tries get old. ✓ This game is rigged to make you fail so you have to purchase more of everythingFor example, this is a cool game to play but when your getting close to winning and you only have 2 or 3 colors of bubbles the game will not give you the colors that are left so you have to buy more bombs or rockets. I hand 12 bubbles left and it gave me double colors that weren’t even there. You should be able to play and enjoy playing not always about $4.99 here $2.99 there and so on just to move on. ✓ Where has it goneThe first bubble game was called just that. It would give you the number you got for each colour best score best starter number and a lot more. You had unlimited time on it it stopped when you ran out of moves. Did you update the game to many more games and if so why put a limit or time limit on them. I do understand that you have to make it harder to get out and finish all the bubbles but with the original the way you did that was too beat your own level in scoring which I loved. Panda pop isn’t relaxing it’s frustrating to the point where you delete it but I decided to test a few of the pop games out and keep the best bubble games and delete the ones I don’t like. ✓ Goodbye old friend:(I have loved playing this game for a long time. It’s relaxing with just enough challenges to keep your interest. Yes, there are lots of ads but I understand it keeps costs in balance for the developers so I put up with it - that’s how much I have enjoyed this game! BUT, when I hit level 1000 everything changed. You guys changed the rule where hitting a color with a like color popped all adjoining like colors with the addition of your “mask” bubble. Unlike the other special bubbles hitting the “mask” bubble properly only pops the mask - not the adjoining like colors! If you thought levels 1000+ needed a frustrating factor, or thought it would force a purchase, you have figured wrong. In my case the relaxing element is gone after trying 3 levels. I’m gone. Bubble pop is a fun game in general, but this app is all about the money. I appreciate that the levels get harder as you go, but they stop giving you any way to win without buying coins. At first you can watch five ads a day to get coins (this is after you pay to have ads removed), then you can only watch three ads per day for coins. The real frustration is that the ads are always “busy“ so you can’t even watch them. ✓ It’s okOverall this is a decent game. I just finished level 715, and even though I had 7 bubbles left at the end of the game I only got one star... seems a little low to me. I’ve also had the frustrating pop up on the ‘hard’ levels that come up right as you try to hit continue and the button to purchase whatever little package you’re pushing takes it’s place. I’m not paying for anything. Other issues that I have are the daily spin consistently gives a whopping 10 coins. That’s it. And forget about the extra spin. Come back tomorrow. I can’t ‘watch’ the ads for the 5 daily prizes because video is never available. Even if I can ‘watch’ the ads for the booster at the beginning of the game or the extra bubbles if I need them later in the game. ✓ Too Many BUGS & ADSThis *could* be a fun game if it weren’t for the constant ads. You are bombarded with ads what feels like every 30 seconds. This ruins the gameplay. And I refuse to pay money to get rid of ads because I have not even had the chance to truly experience the game to see if it is worth spending money on. I am deleting the game because the amount of ads is just way too annoying. I know there are other bubble pop games out there that don’t blast you with annoying ads. There are also bugs in this app where the game will freeze up and you have to close it out. I think the ridiculous amount of ads has something to do with this as it seems to happen a lot after the ads finish playing. Also, my IOS is up-to-date and I have the newest iphone so it is not a user issue. I understand the developers want to make money, don’t we all! But they have essentially ruined what could have been a good game. ✓ WhyI have said this before that I am very addicted to this game. I really see some things that the developers do that I really have problems with. Yes I realize well it is a game and that is my problem. There is never any kind of a warning of changes to the levels. The one thing that really bothers me right now is that I will not quite be able to finish level with three more shots. The designers/developers are just not honest in the way they set things up. I will get my three shots I will take one shot and the remaining two shots just disappear I have never been very good with ma math but it seems to me that three minus one should leave two shots. ✓ Ads freeze the gameAfter almost every ad, I have to reboot the game as it freezes! It wouldn’t be too bad if there wasn’t an ad every 2 levels! I refuse to pay to remove ads, this is only I thing in newer games. In other games I can choose to watch an ad for an additional booster (for example), not have to be forced to watch them every 2 minutes and can’t skip through them. This is ruining a lot of games. Game now deleted for this reason. Update 12th Feb: I received a recent reply from the developers to say the issue had been fixed so thought I’d give it another whirl. Nope! ✓ Becomes too difficultThis game starts off well and although the puzzles become more difficult as you progress, you can earn extra items like rockets etc; by watching ads or completing stages. However I am now finding it frustrating, as the games are too difficult and take too long to complete. Some of them are taking more than 10 attempts and this is putting me off. I like a challenge, but I am getting fed up with it now. The Hidden Chamber is a complete waste of time, as I’ve never been able to complete that. I have noticed the games are easier when it’s a competition, but then you don’t get so many rewards. It’s a shame you only get 3 extra opportunities to win things like rockets at the beginning of the day, when it used to be 5, but the extra bubble feature is a really good one and if it weren’t for this I would have stopped playing by now. ✓ FrustratingThe more games you complete the more you realise that it doesn’t want you to win. The “bubble pop” is inconsistent. Some games have the last 10 bubbles popped for you and for others it doesn’t pop them at all. Also the colours towards the end of the game when all your moves matter are intentionally not the colours that you need to match with the bubbles that are left. It’s like it’s set up for you to fail. Three colours left to pop but mostly blue for example, and it will show me only pink bubbles for my final three go’s - no blue in sight. They want you to watch ads to get three more bubbles and even then - the colours can’t be worked with. So pointless and super annoying. They’re impossible to complete without using your extra tools. I wanted to love this but it’s engineered to get you to watch ads without rewarding you properly for doing so. Big sigh.Version: 23.0223.00
✓ Bubble popBubble Pop is fun! The more bubbles of the same color in a row is what I really love hitting. It’s fun to watch the bubbles pop all in one long row and watch the rest of the bubbles fall in sequence behind even though they are different colors. The three stars are because I just got the game and am still learning…. Look for at least 4or 5 stars once I really get my feet wet… I also like the bombs 💣 and rockets 🚀 as they show where the most damage will be before you shoot. I knew how allowing me (or maybe anyone) to play a little bit during an add would get you, the game maker, more business. The next suggestion would be to watch an add where the fake player isn’t so VERY stupid when deciding what to play. I believe it will help sell some games too. One of the reasons I’ve hated adds was the idiocy of the “player” to NEVER find the right way to play. I mean, I think to myself, “what an idiot”. No one can be truly that dumb!! ✓ Meh.The game is okay, it’s a bubble pop game after all. Now, I understand games are supposed to have a challenge to them but this game is very obvious in it’s attempt to be so overly difficult that you spend money on it. You can still pass the levels if you have a lot of patience and about 1-2 hours to spare per level. I suppose it’s a good time-killer, just don’t expect to have fun the whole time. ✓ Fun but a money a grab!The game is fun, there is no question about that. But as you play the game, and the puzzles slowly become more complex, there’s a great likelihood you’ll need to buy lots of in-app add-ons, and rather frequently. These can very quickly add up to be quite expensive 🫰🤑💰💰💰. Also, when the game gives you prizes, which is somewhat often, they are seriously puny, coin-wise, as well as with giving you add-ons. They’re never doubled or tripled, always a single item. I’m done spending my hard earned cash on this, it’s just not worth it. ✓ Good game but the ads!I like it. It’s a super simple addictive game that keeps my hands busy HOWEVER I wasn’t sure if the app was made as a way to just show ads or if it was a legit game. Every single level ends with a 30 second ad sometimes even as soon as I open the app I get a 30 second add with FAKE “Xs” so you just have to sit there. Yes every once in a while you’ll get an add you can quickly exit out of but those aren’t as common. I made it to level 120 and then an ad came up with a fake X. So I deleted. It’s not worth the simplicity of the game. You’re better off spending $4.99 for the app if you’re really that obsessed with it but it’s not worth it. ✓ As always, spend moneyThis game starts out really fun, and I don’t know why as humans we enjoy popping bubbles so much! But as you get through the levels, it feels like they purposefully foil your attempts to play skillfully, i.e., by not allowing some of the bubbles you launch to break the bubbles they hit. They want you to buy coins so you have to extend your efforts in order to complete the level which becomes extremely frustrating. The games should always be about your skill levels and not about purposefully frustrating you so you will buy coins. I find myself playing this game less and less which is a disappointment. Who knows, maybe I’m missing something here? I’m a reasonably intelligent person and find this game more and more tedious. ✓ Used to be a five star gameI have been playing this game for several years and have enjoyed it very much but in recent months they been taking away the ability to earn free coins to purchase the extras to make it easier to complete the games. Now they make you buy them instead. Example: they just took away the five spins you get each day down to three, and the two addition spins to get the explosive bubbles down to one and you have to pay an increase fee for each additional spin , if you didn’t get a chance to play everyday they would reward you an extra bubble every day your away from game for coming back to play. ✓ Not level playing anymoreI’m done spending money on this game. At first it was a good way to occupy my stressed mind. Now, it’s aggravating. I can have 10 turns left and only need one or two colors to complete the board and move ahead without using extra turns or helpers but I never get the color I need. At first I thought it was just me but it is not. I’ve played this game for 2 years and now it’s so rigged it’s not fun anymore. It just makes me angry. ✓ The pop ups are kinda shady...I love this game! It’s really helpful when I need a moment to unwind. The only annoying thing is the extremely fast “purchase boosters” pop ups that happen when I’m about to press play before starting a difficult round, or when I’m about to unlock free boosters I earned. It comes off as “I wanna trap you into buying these boosters” because they pop up so fast! I’ve hit the purchase button a few times when trying to press play, thats how fast they are. Good thing I’m able to confirm if I want purchase because i would have been forced to purchase if I didn’t have that extra confirmation step. Now I pause before pressing play to avoid them, but even that doesn’t always work. I understand app developers want to make extra money, I totally understand. ✓ Fun game but…Bubble Pop, shoot and blast was fun at first, the ads are unbearable, even when you buy out of them, you are still inundated with them. ✓ It’s a Money pit NOW!This used to be a great game, with skill and determination you could achieve levels, adds throughout as with most and in game purchases too! But the latest added levels (we are talking in the 4,000’s now) are designed to only be achieved with in app purchases and using several extra’s just to get the level achieved… as with most people, I’m happy to pay to enjoy a game I’ve now been playing well over a year, but the cost of bundles which you need to play are a joke! ✓ Bubble pop ratingThis is the worst of all the bubble pop games, giving the feeling that the game is going great until all of a sudden the only way to win a game is by spending money. ✓ Predatory selling tactics even after purchaseFor a bubble pop game I would rate this much higher BUT Unfortunately even after purchasing the game it continues with constant pop ups selling the season pass and other add ons which have been well timed and designed to popup over the top of the “continue” and “play”button options. ✓ Good game, but pushy with ads even with paid versionI like this game, I have been playing it for about a year now. I purchased the full version to eliminate ads while playing. However, the game still tries to push ads, for things like power ups and a package that is really not that useful. The notification for this power up always comes up as a pop up right before you’re about to hit play for a hard level, so you almost always end up pressing it and having to cancel out of the purchase. It’s a “getcha” ad and I’m not a fan. This is on top of the 5 ads per day in-app notification for coins, which I refuse to watch since I already paid to avoid ads. ✓ Great Game, Beware The Paid VersionI enjoyed this game and saw a few positive reviews about paying for the no-advert version so as it wasn’t much, I did that. What a shame…with the ad version, when you have a few bubbles left to pop, you watch an ad and get 3 additional attempts. With the no-ad version, you only get an option to pay for more chances. Feels like you pay to remove the ads & are then expected to pay more and more. I paid for the premium addition to see if that would help…only covered one day! On top of that, the algorithms seem screwy…I appreciate the harder the level, the harder it gets but surely if I only have a limited number of attempts, I should be given half a chance by giving me the right bubble colour. So if I only have red and blue bubbles available to pop, I shouldn’t have 10 yellow, green & purple bubbles to shoot with. You have to persevere with the level until suddenly, it works again. ✓ Stopped workingThe game won’t now open so it’s useless at the moment. Over the last few months the ads have been steadily getting longer. They used to be about 15 seconds long, now there are regularly 45 seconds long and even when they’re finished you have to click on this and click on that to get back to the game so all in all they take about a minute now. There are far, far too many interruptions trying to get me to download other games…sometimes games I already have. That coupled with the irritating new idea of forcing you to wait through a long timeout until you can tell it to get on with the present game. I don’t know what pea brain came up with such an idea but I can tell you that it’s having the opposite effect you probably wish it was having.
