✓ Not bad at all!I’ve tried and used many Sudoku apps, and the input for numbers and pencil marks is really simple with this one. Two gripes, but they are personal, although I think others would agree with me. The expert level is fairly straight forward, in fact it’s not really challenging at all, so despite the clear and easy interface, it’s no good for me. A next ‘extreme’ level would make it. The other very simple improvement would be dark mode. It’s becoming more common in most apps, and particularly useful at night. Just a thought, but a great start..Version: 1.18.2

✓ Good except for settings that can’t be changedI’ve been doing what I can in the settings, but it seems that one thing that can’t be changed is that if you input a number incorrectly, that number shows up in red. I don’t like it if the game tells me when I’m wrong, it kind of ruins the fun of figuring out when you’re wrong yourself. Still, other than that the game is nice and intuitive to play, a lot better than some other Sudoku apps out there..Version: 3.5.0
✓ One of best Sudoku appsI’m updating my review. Still an awesome sudoku app, and I’ve played almost all the apps out there. Some of the new features keep me hooked. For example, the events is great. Sometimes my brain gets tired of always playing expert or nightmare levels so it’s nice to play some easy levels. Plus, it has a clear goal for me to work towards. And also, cross math is an interesting concept. It’s great for my son to practice his math, and I never would’ve found out without playing this app. (Previous review) I’ve been playing Sudoku for a long time, and this is one of the best mobile apps for Sudoku. A few things, it has a very clean and easy to use interface. When I click a number, it highlights the corresponding row, column and square, so I can easily scan the board to find other potential numbers. Also, when I write notes and tap a number, all notes with that number are also a different color, so it’s easy to see which cells have that number, and I can start doing deductions more easily. Finally, it has a hint feature that explains how a cell came to a number, which is better than other apps I’ve seen that just directly tell you the answer. Overall, there are many advanced features for the seasoned Sudoku player, but also great for newer players. Would highly recommend this app..Version: 2.9.2
✓ It’s great but...I feel like the mistake feature is weird. I feel like I’m playing a guessing game when I play harder levels. Maybe if it was made to where you verify your answer once the board is completed it would be better. That way no one could cheat and guess numbers infinitely and it’s not so brutal that misplacing a number 3 times could cost you your whole board..Version: 1.15.3
✓ Here for sudoku and im liking itI used to play sudoku on another application. They decided to put ad beginning and middle of the game (like 3 times) and also at the end of the game so i looked for another app. This one has right amount of ads, in the beginning of the puzzle and right before the clear results screen. ✓ Hints & levelsThe expert level is too easy. The hints very rarely teach you a strategy. They either fill in the number in a missing cell or they fill in the missing notes, which means the game is over. The hints could be more diverse and teach you something..Version: 2.1.0

✓ Hints don’t always need explanationWhen a hint is used, the user must click a button 3-4 times to get the number placed. Experienced players that may simply not have seen where the number should have gone initially, do not always need an explanation as to why a number goes there. An option to turn off descriptive hints would be nice…not that clicking 3-4 buttons is an uphill battle…just a bit annoying. This is my favorite version of this game that I have found. ✓ Great game, but wipes out your purchase historyI really enjoy this game. I paid to remove the ads several months ago and it made it so whenever I was in a bind, I could use unlimited hints and never have to see an ad. The problem is that my purchase history is now gone and it wants me to pay to remove ads again, which is wrong. When I click on restore purchases, it does nothing. So if it won’t restore my purchases, I’m not going to pay $7.99 again to do what I already paid it to do, and I’ll remove the game. If it weren’t for this issue, I’d give it 5 stars..Version: 2.8.2

✓ Best Sudoku ExperienceI tried a handful of sudoku apps and found this one to have the best combination of supporting speedy play, clearly highlighting relevant numbers without giving away solutions, and providing clear hints to help players improve. Devs I do have one request – the fact that Nightmare difficult puzzles sometimes require hints that simply fill in the correct value for a call makes it hard for me to feel like I can work on those puzzles logically since I can’t think through how those are calculated, so if there’s some way to show the underlying logic there it would be much appreciated. ✓ Excellent gameMy favorite iPhone game! One I love Sudoku and appreciate that the hints actually teach you rather than just give you an answer! But, I absolutely love this app developer becuz there is only one quick ad after each game! I was shocked and awed I can actually play a game without constant aggravating ads! ✓ Refresh is a problemGreat app - one problem is that if you’re doing a puzzle as part of a challenge (e.g. for themes or an event), and go do something else for a while, the puzzle will still be there half-finished when you come back but *won’t* remember it’s part of the challenge. ✓ Best app! But lots of crashes..I just downloaded this app three days ago, and I normally never leave reviews. I love this version of sudoku, and especially that you can adjust the settings the way you want. Plus- the ads aren’t overwhelming, like most games. However, I’m experiencing app crashes, but instead of just the app closing, my whole phone will freeze for about a minute or two and then shut off. So it’s been frustrating as I play, because after a couples minutes or so I can’t play. I’m sure it’s just a bug, that can be fixed and updated. But just to let the developers know!.Version: 1.18.2

✓ Needs a No Answers and Better Notes optionIt’s a pretty good Sedoku puzzle app all around. The only things that would make it perfect would be a way to remove hints and an improved note taking system where I can write out my own details to help me solve the puzzle. I also don’t like how it tells me if the number I put in is right or wrong. Some people like playing with this option, but I do not and prefer to find the solution on my own terms. ✓ Annoying adSo I have fallen in like with this version of Sudoku. Problem is there is a Wizard of Oz ad that blacks out my screen that makes me want to delete the ad. ✓ Updating loses Pro editionSo back in August I paid for the Pro edition. In order to avoid seeing Ads between plays. New update comes out 4 days ago, now app has Ads everywhere. I click restore purchases, app says there is no purchase. I have the Apple receipt on file. So I need to repurchase the (one time) subscription every time the app is updated? It keeps my mind sharp and I even got my parents playing it to keep theirs sharp as well, my only frustration is 1) the 3 and done rule is kind of small especially when you have older people with big fingers cause mistakes happen. I feel like it should be maybe 4 or 5 mistakes before you have to restart or watch an ad, which brings me to frustration 2) multiple times while playing I’ll use the free ad to continue if I make too many “mistakes” and yet I still get restarted with all my progress gone, other than that great app, just wish the bugs were fixed :).Version: 1.24.0

✓ Fun and addictingThis is a really good Sudoku app, better than any other I’ve tried. Good choices for difficulty levels. Bonus trophy events add a nice twist to challenging play.
