✓ Love it! Could use some improvement!I really like this app because I get to widen my music taste and get into new artists, and meet people with the same/ different taste however the song limit makes it lowkey hard. I know an app’s primary goal, sometimes, is to keep people on the app for as long as possible, and I genuinely believe if the song limit was more than one a day, I’d spend more time on the app cause I have so much I wanna drop. But I understand you don’t want too many songs in one day. If there could just be a happy medium. Also I’m not sure why I can’t listen to certain songs. Also I think we should be able to pick the sample we want to play..Version: 1.1
✓ So cuteI absolutely love this app and think it’s such a cool concept! I love to share music I like but I’m also not one of those people who will spam my social media platforms with screenshots of what I’m listening to. I love this because it’s designed specifically for music lovers to share what they like. It’s like our own little world. One thing that I would want to be able to do however is to share music more than once a day, I’m not sure I understand why that’s not possible. But other than that, I love this app..Version: 1.1

✓ Love it! Just a few suggestions.So I love this app! It's helped me find a ton of new songs/artists! I love that we can choose what we want previewed & the skip to next song feature as well. I do think a night mode would add a different aesthetic to the app. I also think making scrolling on the app a bit smoother. Example: whenever I'm on my profile & scrolling through the songs I've posted, I'll accidentally scroll a bit to the left & it'll change me to my followers page. Maybe having to just click "followers"/"following" (like IG, Twitter) would be a good way to make viewing who we follow/follow us easier..Version: 1.6.4
✓ Love it but have some improvement suggestionsI love the concept of the app - i have found many new songs already. i like how you can connect your spotify and it creates a ‘bopdrop’ playlist which you can conveniently add to. however, my spotify log in keeps becoming “outdated” and i have to connect it again almost daily. i also wish we could choose the part of the song which we post. other than these few things, bopdrop is so cool!.Version: 2.3

✓ Love it! One suggestion thoughThis app is absolutely amazing, I’m on it all the time and I’ve found tons of new music! The only thing is I like a bunch of songs on the explore then they suddenly disappear when the page refreshes or I try to go back and find songs that I’ve liked before and can’t. So it would be great if we could get like a tab where all our liked songs are! Or if we could bookmark certain songs :) overall, a great app though..Version: 1.2

✓ A lot of potentialI love the idea of the app and so far am having a very enjoyable experience. I have a few suggestions though. - I would appreciate being able to change the song you post after deleting the first one, simply cause I messed up and also how much work would it really be to change the program from one post a day to one active post a day. - I like how you can connect with a ton of people at first but you really should be able to look up people later on by genre cause I love way more than just three genres - I wish there was a way to see what people are actively listening to on their page - notifications on the app little bubble on the home screen would also be great so it would work just like any other social media - maybe a system of posting more than one song a day but it goes straight to your page and doesn’t show up on the “explore” tab. I would personally like to see what the people I follow are listening to and idc how much of my feed it takes up cause I chose to follow them - find a way to market to more country listeners cause all I see on my explore is indie pop or alt music with a little r/b sprinkled in. I know the 100.5 people will never be on the app but there’s a huge following for people like Tyler Childers, Cody jinks, Zach Bryan, and colter wall that are young and love to share music Overall it’s a great app and I hope it grows more.Version: 1.1

✓ Bring this back!!!!I genuinely love this apps uniqueness, posting songs to followers and getting to explore new genres is amazing! I've had a lovely time being on the app for about a year now, but something that was updated then taken away has made me not want to post as much. The creators brought in an update once where you had the option to pick what portion of the song your followers would hear, instead of an already set clip. I loved this update as I could finally post references to instrumentation or specific lyrics! It opened up a whole new avenue for posting, and at least twice now songs I have posted the 30 second clip starts at the very beginning. The issue being if a song has a long intro. There goes a waste of a post and no one got to hear the amazing tune being showcased! I've made comments before on my account and even captions about this issue, I really thought that song portion selection option was a great and much needed improvement to the app. If it's brought back I'd say Bopdrop would be @ 5 stars. The posting to 1 song a day (now 2 which is nice) is a creative platform for music lovers to share more easily than say random internet forums..Version: 2.3

✓ More fun than expectedComing into this app I thought this wasn’t going to be that good, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s very useful to be able to see what songs are recommended by people, as finding new music is always a struggle. Being able to post only once a day sounds weird but it makes it so much better. If people spammed songs they liked it would change the weight of each post drastically. A few problems though, when you pick your favorite genres there isn’t a “rap” genre. I don’t know how this was overlooked, but it’s very frustrating because I’m not getting recommended new rap, just pop. Also the explore page is a little hard to find. ✓ Been waiting for thisBefore I start talking about how good this app is the thing that needs to change is to have a selection where you can change the time the song starts so like a sliding action to set when it starts, but expect from that this app is just all round amazing easy to use and friendly! It's the best way to get recommendations and to learn new songs that you might not of heard. My user is sync02 only been using this for 2 days so I'm still very new, but as I said it's easy to use and super interactive friendly. Honestly if you love music this is a MUST! ✓ Love this appThis app is an amazing way to listen to new music from people with similar taste or even if you want to explore other genres! I’m a firm believer that each genre has at least ONE song that will get you hooked and this app allows you to discover those songs. There are a few bugs, but it’s a new app and improvements are bound to happen. The only thing I’m sad about and why I’m only giving it 4/5 stars is that you can only post one song a day... I do understand why, because people will post 300 songs at once if they could... but being limited to only one song every 24 hours is kind of a buzzkill. ✓ Favorite appLong time user here! bopdrop is definitely one of my favorite & most used apps, the concept is great & so is the community. i look forward to posting every single day, sometimes very impatiently lol. i've made countless friends, it's refreshing to find music that you haven't discovered yet through other people's posts. i wanted to use this review to include all the app suggestions / ideas / improvements i'd love to see eventually ! hoping this is the right place to do so. dark mode (!!!) when i scroll through my posts, it usually glitches back to the top. it's frustrating when i'm trying to see whether or not i've posted a song before, which brings me to -> search bars on profiles. it would be extremely helpful to search for songs on profiles to see if you or someone else has posted a specific song before or not easily being able to see if someone follows you back, like a lil "follows you" title when looking at someone's profile i wish the hashtag feature was more practical, being able to search for hashtags is is crucial in getting more people to use the feature & find similar music easier ability to skip through specific parts of song's on posts. for example if i wanted to hear the end of a post, you could slide to the part of the song you want to hear. not very important, but it's worth mentioning hoping to see more ways to become verified in the future! keep it up mr. ceo !!.Version: 1.8

✓ Not BadWell I don’t normally follow up on tik tok ads, but I like the concept. It’s a really good idea, and not very often are people able to become pioneers of new platforms. Only giving 4 stars for right now though, using the app, the only allowing one post to your feed per day is bad, post amounts shouldn’t be regulated like that, also, it would be probably most beneficial to put a slider in on the songs or something, so the good parts to the song can be the main focal point of the clip of the song you hear. ✓ Love it but have some suggestionsThis app is super amazing! I love the diversity of music from all different users & it’s super easy to find new things, I do have some suggestions though. I’d like it if there could be a section where your top genres are the only genres you can see. Right now there’s an explore page and a following page but it’d be nice to have a 3rd area where you can discover stuff in the genres you enjoy & categorize your feed (but still keep the explore area as a way to step outside your genres). I’d like to be able to post more than one song a day, maybe even just 2 or 3, I understand there should be a limit, but then if you’d like to post more, then you could upgrade to a premium account to post extra music at a *small* cost (since you aren’t gaining much by posting unlimited music). I’d also like to see bios, that way we can link our socials & spotify’s and as a way to describe ourselves. ✓ Great for Finding/Sharing New MusicBob drop is great because the explore page is constantly being updated with new people posting their music. Finding people who are into the same music as you is actually pretty easy and you can share music with them directly with no limits. I’m giving 5 stars because I believe in the potential of this app and where it could go. Three quick things: 1) You definitely get this all the time, but we need more than one song post a day. Maybe allow posts every 12 hours instead of full 24? 2) We need to be able to pick the preview point of the song. 3) If we delete a song post, we should be able to post a new one without hitting the limit. I’m enjoying the app and everything, but it’s tough to stay engaged and look at song posts from the people I follow if I’m only posting once a day. This is coming from someone who has had the app for just a little over a week. It can be so much better..Version: 1.1

Most of the time when i go to post a song i like, the portion i want to preview to the listener is not the portion pre selected to play. ✓ Great App, Even Better PotentialThere is certainly a space for a music-based social media app, and Bopdrop fills that niche quite well. The general layout and UX is intuitive and pleasant, profiles contain the perfect amount of info (not too much, not too little), and the two-songs-per-day limit isn’t too restrictive. As social media, this app is a fantastic way to connect with friends through music. My main suggestion is to increase the viability of Bopdrop as a music discovery app. Currently, the only way I have found to discover new music are the four tabs at the top of the home page, “for you” being the one that has worked best for me. However, most of the “personalized” recommendations really aren’t songs that I like, so it’s hard to find any profiles that have similar music taste. Two ways this could be fixed: 1) upgrade the recommendation algorithm and/or 2) allow users to search for posts by song and artist. Likely, the latter would be easier, and it would allow users to find other people who have posted the same songs/artists to their profile. Overall, really good app— could see it becoming the next big thing..Version: 2.3

✓ Great App But Needs Some Features.The concept of discovering and finding new music purely off of one app is amazing and has tons of potential, but this app definitely needs some more features. The MOST VITAL needed feature is a way to find people through music genres. There should be a chat and posting section for each genre but you don’t have to post or talk in there. There can be a main feed that has all the post of people you follow, but forums for each genre. Some other good features to add would be, Direct Messages (I understand not wanting that but you already have comments so you may as well.), and being able to add as many genres as people want to their favorites, rather than just 3. I chose my 3 favorite but then put all of the ones I listen to in my bio. Other than those badly needed features the app is great..Version: 1.3

✓ Great concept, some suggestions!I love the concept of this app and it definitely fills a void for an app that makes sharing music recommendations easy! Some of my suggestions echo what others have written and I’ve also come up with some of my own: 1. Allow users to choose the section of the song that will be previewed 2. Allow users to write a bio 3. There need to be more genres—I specifically have in mind Latino and other non-Western traditions and non-English music. If the user base is heavily American or English speaking right now, a genre called “global” for now can help people expand their horizons. Adding tags for decades would be great too 4. Allow users to tag the songs they post as a particular genre and then have a feature where users search for songs posted under that one genre 5. To make it easier to find people with a common taste in music, add a feature where we can search all users who have posted a particular song 6. Have a top 50 page for each genre so users can see the most popular songs Can’t wait to see this app keep getting better and better!!.Version: 1.2

✓ New Favorite AppThis is my first review ever so you know bopdrop Good. i just download it for the first time a few days ago and it’s now one of the best parts of my day. super fun, easy to use, and a great way to discover music. two suggestions on how to make bopdrop even better: -let users manually select the part of the song they want to share! sometimes the autogenerated snippet cuts out at a bad time, or your favorite part is at a different moment. i think this would be a great way to boost user activity/engagement and creativity! -i love that we can post twice a day, but i wish it was implemented on a fluid 24hr clock, instead of being broken down by 12hr increments. for example, sometimes you miss the morning time frame! in instances like this, you should be able to post twice from 12 - 11:59pm! the two things above are the only things stopping me from giving 5 stars. definitely gonna keep using bopdrop— i’m excited to keep sharing music i love all while discovering new tunes.Version: 2.3

✓ Connecting with new peopleWhat’s cool about bopdrop is that it allows you to actually send music back and forth with people you might not even know. I text my friends songs all the time and I know they don’t always listen or have an opinion on it which is fine! But bopdrop is nice because you never know what stranger will see your feed and just strike up a convo surrounding one of your posts. A great app for music nerds like me! As someone who hates posting pictures of myself and putting my own work out there, this is a really cool app that focuses on your tastes, while helping to promote artists work. It’s also small enough right now that it’s easy to navigate and find new stuff without being bombarded by what’s popular according to everyone else right now. The only thing I would change is an option to search by genre, as opposed to searching by users. ✓ THIS IS AMAZING!I’ve never seen an app such as this. Being able to share songs with your friends has never been easier. I’ve already recommended to a few. You’ve gotten all the major types of music down as well! Not only that but the app is SUPER SIMPLE to use. Within a single minute, I was able to figure everything out. All the way from creating a profile to posting your very own music. I would have a few suggestions though. When posting music to the feed, I think it would be cool to select what part of the song you want rather than it being the middle. I also like all the small little details you guys have added as well. Like when you go to refresh the screen, the gray refresh bar follows where your finger is. I enjoy the layout of the app. However if there are a few features that I think could be added to make the app even better. I think you should be able to list your favorite artists on your profile somewhere. ✓ Happy appI've had bopdrop for at least a year now and although i'm not on it daily, i still love using it when i can. its a fun way to share your current favorite songs and discover everyone else's favorite songs, it's just such a cute community on here. i am obsessed with the recent update with your own music profile where you can pick your current favorite musicians and songs. there used to be an option where one could select a portion of the song before posting, instead of bopdrop selecting a portion for you. im not sure if that option got removed or changed, but i really miss it. it was a nice way to highlight the "best" part of a song you liked. other than that, i have no complaints. i love bopdrop and i can't wait to see what improvements you'll make in the future!.Version: 2.0

✓ Great App, Needs More GenresI love this app, like genuinely a great way to share music but I wish they could add more genres to search. One of my top genres is christian music, which I know is on the app but there’s no way to add it as a top genre or search it at all. I also wish you could just select ANY amount of genres you like, top 3 is very limiting as someone who listens to most of the genres listed on there. ✓ GREAT app.I really wish there was a way to search by song so that I was able to see who all has posted a specific song! Or another way of putting it is to be able to filter my explore feed by song title or artist name. I use the “add to bopdrop playlist” function to save and go back to listen to songs later, but if I listen to a song I’d saved and really like it, it’s difficult to see/remember who posted it. ✓ It’s like a virtual music diaryI have my days where I was have small entries with text that matches my songs. Other days I have lots to say, but I can only post two times. I’ve been on a streak of posting everyday for 9 months with the app and it is so cool and unique and fun and it’s just great. ✓ Great app, but a few things to considerThis is an incredibly well executed app with a great idea behind it, but there’s a few things that could be better. the big one is that to be a big success, it’s going to need apple music support. i myself use apple music and this app is awesome, but it would be so much better if i could open songs right into apple music. aside from that, there’s just a few design elements that could be better. for instance, i’d love to be able to swipe from the left side of the screen to go back from a user’s profile or any other subpage of a page, instead of having to scroll up and hit the back button in the top corner. there’s also a few things that could make the ui feel smoother, such as the black fill that shows what page you’re on (feed or explore) could move smoothly as you swipe to the next page instead of abruptly appearing on one side when the transition is complete. little things like that could make this app much smoother and cleaner. that said, it’s already amazing. love the concept and the execution..Version: 1.1
