✓ AliceGreat time on a first event for us. Took us quite a while to understand the game but by the time we finished we understood what we needed to do. (Would recommend reading up in it before you start) That said it was was clearly really popular and so may had dressed up in Fantastic costumes. Would definitely do another event. ✓ So much FUN!I had a blast. My teammates, not so much. Make sure you pick people who are into it as much as you are. There were times the geo thing couldn’t find the circle to unlock the stop. We had to just take a time hit on one to get it open. This was a great test to see a city. I would recommend it to anyone into murder mysteries. It was fun. I’d rather do this for exercise than run a 5K. We walked 4.5 miles and 12,000 steps!!! Make sure everyone can walk a lot without any issue..Version: 3.1.80

✓ So much fun!My family and I had a great time solving a mystery in Lowell, MA this past weekend! The app took a few mins to figure out, but once we found the first couple of “witnesses” we got the hang of it pretty quickly. I had never really been Lowell before, so this was a fun way to get to know the city and see some landmarks. A creative and COVID-safe way to get together with some friends. ✓ The Nottingham RipperWe had a fantastic time playing the game and solving the clues. Perfect for two adults and two teenagers. Definitely take as many phones as you can and use the batteries sparingly. Great to be able to pause the game and have breaks whenever we wanted, and it was lovely seeing all the other groups dressed up and looking suitably investigative. ✓ Very good gamesHaving done 2 of their events now (both in York) I can say these are fantastic. The Sneaky Finders event which we attended last year was amazing, and my whole team found it to be really fun exploring the city to then puzzle together everything to find the suspect. Now having done the Witchcraft and Wizardry event yesterday myself and my partner had great fun with their update system of finding clues and user interface in the app itself. It was certainly more difficult and took us just under 3 hours to complete but we both had a great time. Only issue I have with this app is that the GPS tracking can be a bit off and the ping time for updating your location is a bit too long for my liking. Will definitely be looking at doing more of these as they release them, and will definitely be recommending to more of my friends and work colleagues..Version: 1.15.0
✓ Great conceptGreat concept and gameplay. Complex storyline. GPS positioning on the map is sketchy - especially when you are surrounded by tall buildings. Struggled to get some of the clues to show up despite being I. The correct spot. Took penalties to unlock those but we weren’t really competing. Had network connectivity a couple of time (T-Mobile 5G). App lost its mind at one time and said I was on an old version which wasn’t true. Cost us a lot of time trying to get back in. ✓ It Played in PeoriaReally love the concept of this game. The app provided a great mix of traditional clues, riddles to solve, making us look around and notice something in the area, and character stories. You’re basically on a GPS map and trying to move to a large number of clues (like 40 some) in a several block radius. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars was because sometimes the map was finicky and didn’t stay oriented the way you wanted it or the GPS would be a little off or not register, so it slowed us down in getting some of the clues, you’d have to stand on a clue for a while before the clue would open sometimes. But it’s a great way to spend a few hours and overall the app was very user friendly..Version: 2.1.18

Cons: gps is glitchy in some areas and witnesses/suspects wouldn’t unlock when in vicinity; also some questions seemed to glitch when selecting correct answer and would not accept as correct. ✓ Fun challenging 2 hoursOverall fun time. Played in safe NH small city setting with good gps location tracking signals. The set up is similar to pokemon go (all virtual) but timed there’s no staff or physical signs or hard evidence. Had 9am-5pm to play. Walking around to find clues and witnesses within 1 mile radius while collecting random things to help decrease total time. While solving trick questions and puzzles at most locations (about 20-30 spots) (more spots would pop up after). Some of the trick questions were difficult so we cheated a little lol. The culprit is somewhat easy but tricky to figure out. I would say easy to moderate level difficulty. We got it in 2 hours. Definitely take notes in notepad and use up the witness questions option! The hints weren’t that helpful. Also you can have more people on your team but can only use up to 6 devices to read clues so share devices! Bring battery backup and drinks! Downfall you had to read tiny print clues I wish there was more sounds and voiceovers and sometimes had to go to exact location (like specific side of street) within a few yards to get clues..Version: 3.1.69

Some of the riddles are difficult and it takes a while to understand how to play the game on the app but once your up and running it is so much fun! ✓ Love these games!Played the Sneaky Finders game last year (early 2020) in Durham, NC and just finished up Jack the Ripper in Raleigh, NC this year. These make for great gifts around the holidays - especially if you’re planning on playing as a family. We had 3 generations on our team and we all had a ball! Even easier and more enjoyable the second time since we knew the game format and what to expect from the app/game. Looking forward to playing again next year! We weren’t sure what to expect but we certainly had a lot of fun; we also managed to keep a 5 year old entertained and interested for the whole duration (approx 2:40). The game was well designed and thought out, though quite tricky to piece together all the information and solve the crime!! ✓ We solved the case!My family did our first, but definitely not last, cluedupp game last weekend and we had a blast! We walked about 4 miles, got to see lots of the city, and engaged in a fun story. It felt very immersive and challenged us without being too hard. The app worked very well and wasn’t too draining on our phones even though we had it open and geo locating for 3 hours. It was so well put together, great activity for the family (even the moody teenager could take part glued to his phone!). No issues with using the app. Great local synchronicity between team members. Just need to take 10 mins to familiarise yourself with it, then keep playing, you can’t mess anything up. ✓ Fun gameReally neat immersive game! Lots of fun puzzles and riddles. It was a little confusing at first since I hadn’t done anything like this before but once we got going we caught on quick. The only thing that was tough was there was a farmers market and a parade going on as well (the parade made hard to cross the street on a timed puzzle). There was also a ton of traffic on streets we needed to cross. Would have been nicer in an easier to get around setting. We had such a blast and loved the real time clues as we walked the area! (Make sure your cell service is on the best tower and most up to date for the fastest results) instructions on penalties could have been explained a bit better up front but overall this was a fun experience and we made incredible memories! ✓ Colorado’s Alice in Wonderland fun fun fun!!!Came to one of CluedUppEvent here in Colorado really enjoyed it. Here in the Civic Center park we did the Alice in Wonderland. Where my family and friends came to find clues and run about 2 to 3 miles to finish in two hours and 30 minutes taking 17th Pl. at the time that we finished but more people have to finish so we’ll see where we end up at the end of the day.I recommend bringing the family / or friends in solving these riddles. ✓ Great fun but could easily be betterEnjoyed the St Albans Ripper event. App is really well done, works great and the level of detail gives a decent story to get involved in. Where CluedUpp fails a bit is the local integration. I don't think they've even visited St Albans on Google Maps. Locations are just spots around the town and bear no relation to what's in the game narrative. A few puzzles are "real life" but even most of those could be solved without looking away from your phone. ✓ Great funDid the ‘Clacton Ripper’ and it was fantastic. Much more in depth than we were expecting. Lots of interaction along the way and riddles to solve. Would definitely do another one but would take a phone charger as my battery was fully charged and completely ran out by the end. You can pause the game and get snacks/coffee etc and continue when you’re ready. ✓ Nice investigative gameAs in the subject intriguing story with loads of characters and hints/games that add fun to the game. Good plot which left us dismayed initially, but it was not unsolvable, also well balanced. We had real fun! The only thing I would recommend the developer is to fix the map, as we paused the game and, despite going back to the same location where the game was paused, we received a 20 minutes penalty nonetheless as the system believed we’re in a totally different place. ✓ Brilliant. A truly immersive experience.We raced across Stroud dressed like Mystery Inc - with our 8 year old dressed as Scooby and dog as Scrappy! We did experience 2 glitches: when asking 2 of our suspects “questions “ the icon got stuck on “loading” and didn’t generate an answer. I had full bars on 5G, also, so I don’t think reception was it.
