✓ Good game but...The game is a little glitchy, when I clicked on a profile it wouldn’t come up & unmatch it. Had to delete it and reinstall it because it wasn’t letting me swipe. Lost my progress but luckily I had only just downloaded it the same day..Version: 1.3.19

✓ Can’t progress with multiple charactersI downloaded the update a few days ago and now it doesn’t seem like I can continue conversations or dates with some matches. My conversation with Antoine is completely blank now, and I can’t go back - it freezes on a white screen. I also can’t get past multiple choices on the court date with Damien. Will change my rating when all of the bugs are fixed. NEW ISSUE 18 JUL 2023 - Now I can’t progress with some characters because it sets me up to “go on a date” with them but when I click the let’s go button, I get an error pop-up. I tried unmatching with one character to see if it would clear it out, but now they’re not even showing up in the people options so I can’t rematch with them. It’s getting harder and harder to want to keep playing this game. UPDATE 19 JUL 2023: Tried the link the developers sent in reply to my review, and it says the page doesn’t exist. There isn’t even a link that says “Contact Us” like they said. Given how much I’ve spent on this game (something I’m truly ashamed to admit now), I would hope my comments would mean something and moved towards getting multiple bugs fixed, but I guess not..Version: 2.5.2

✓ Gone down hillThey’ve given up on their own app. Used to be good but now it feels like they went on a fan fiction website and mashed everything that was popular into poorly written scenarios. Don’t bother bother getting the premium either since the app crashes left and right. Overall not a worth it experience.Version: 2.5.2
✓ What an asinine gamePlayed it for 15 mins. Tried to match with other guys and it was like “wait time is 1 hour and 20 mins”. Nah. Instead I just deleted it. Nobody that enjoys playing games when they’re bored is going to deal with this. Waiting around for hours and hours to talk to an artificial intelligence for 5 mins is a bad concept for a game. And to be frank, your game is quite forgettable. Everyone is better off just going on Tinder and talking to guys. The gems (especially the amount used and cost) is extreme and cheap on the developers side. I mean, if you’re trying to tell everyone that you’re simply in it for the money, you hit the nail on the head, because it doesn’t take a genius. You developers can claim you’re improving stuff all you want, if that helps you manipulate others so you can sleep at night. Doesn’t look like you do after seeing the same 500 comments. Just know, your little app won’t last long, and everyone will either delete it or leave it sitting there…. completely unused. Not my problem. There are better games out there that I actually do keep. ✓ Scummy at bestTitle says it all, if there’s anything in this worth pursuing i’d love to know but with the whole in app purchases ads and pointless garbage it seems like a cash grab off of vulnerable people who feel lonely enough to download this. i’m gonna be honest i was playing cats and soup and saw this as an ad and decided it looked funny and i might get something funny out of it but it was just depressing. ✓ :))I adore this game I’ve been obsessed since last year and I’ve grown really attached to my matches, That may be a bad thing but Lovelink is always on my mind. There’s so many things I like about Lovelink, I love waking up to see that all my favourite characters online and I love spending diamonds on dates (and then running out of diamonds). However, I feel like the old characters have been neglected a bit, I waited like a year for Ryan’s story to be updated but it never did. I think it would be great if the old characters had a story update but I can’t really see that happening with all of the new updates but nothing to do with the old characters..Version: 2.4.6
✓ Infuriating banner spamGET RID OF THE INFURIATING 'SLOW CONNECTION' BANNERS! Seriously, this issue alone has made me completely stop all in-app purchases; and I have purchased quite a bit up till now... Ludia/developers - When someone has a slow or unstable internet connection, there's NOTHING we can do about it in most cases!! Moving to another location is typically not going to help b/c it is not usually the cause, so STOP with the CONSTANT banner spam! It completely ruins any enjoyment from the app, and most all other apps avoid such negative user experience behaviors. We KNOW that a somewhat stable connection is needed to use the server-based app, and a fast connection is ideal. But, when we don't have a fast connection for whatever reason, the app still works fine so long as the connection is somewhat stable. If it's not stable, we know b/c any other data-using apps aren't working either. Because of how you decided to have it designed, the only real negative result from using your app on a slow connection IS THE BANNER YOU INTRUSIVELY THROW ON THE SCREEN REPEATEDLY. It's like you're mocking someone for having as slow connection. Fix this; until you do, I'm done wasting money in an app that insists on unnecessarily spamming me with notifications about something I can't do anything about..Version: 1.5.18

✓ Good, but can be expensiveI love mostly all the characters, I lovetheir unique stories and the interactions make me jealous that actual Online Dating isn’t like this 🤯. I love how your relationship between characters build, the pictures are interesting and I usually buy the ones I care for the most. My only issue is I’d love to see some Discounts or Packages or maybe more Gems for less money because theres no way I’m spending a £5 to unlock one Picture and a Scene with a Character when I’ve got like 10 on the go 😂. I’ll be bankrupt, I did like the Free Photo Daniel sends which is unique and something I think Characters should do. ✓ Great game but has it downfallsThe game really fun to play, messaging different people is just like a dating app. But it gives matches based on your star sign, and you get the same people pop up. No matter how many times you like the person you never match with them, so you’re limited on who you talk to. Also when you have to use gems to see a picture, to use a certain emoji when liking a comment, or to say a comment, and to do extra stuff on a date. The problem is it cost too many gems, so you run out so quickly that if you buy more you’ll run out just out so quick. That you can’t afford to keep buying gems every 30 seconds. Lastly when you log in you only get 15 gems and that’s not enough gems, if you’re going to make everything so expensive to unlock..Version: 1.3.19
✓ Umm..Hi, I enjoy this app so far but I had the what’s your story app n it was also connected to Lovelink . I’m so sad that Julien Alexandre’s story from there is changed up to be somebody’s else whole entire story on this Lovelink app which is annoying . 😐 I wish you were able to link up that app with this Lovelink app so that those of us who used the Lovelink in the Story app didn’t have to find the ppl they have been talking to, alll over again!! ✓ Pleasantly SurprisedGot an ad for this app on another game, gave it a shot and now I’m addicted lol. It’s like real life Tinder/Bumble but nobody ghosts you😁 The characters are all super interesting and the conversations are fun and authentic, if a little on the thirsty side. It would be really cool if, in a future version, we could create our own avatars for dates. The only downfall about this app is the amount of gems it takes to do much of anything, they really fuel progress in the relationships and it takes a lot of them to do anything. The amount we get daily isn’t nearly enough to unlock all the pictures and conversation options. I’ve only had this app for a couple days and I’ve already spent $20 on it😬 Tl/dr: If the amount of gems required to unlock pictures/conversations was less, this app would be perfect 👌🏾 UPDATE: Had to reduce my rating because the app kept glitching. It got to the point where it was just stuck on the loading screen, so I had to delete the app and reinstall. ✓ Amazing, just wish update’s happened more frequentlyBiggest complaint, you cant set sexual orientation. So, if youre gay or straight you will always get matches that do not meet your sexual orientation. The stories in this game are awesome, the choices you make do change how the story progresses. Full disclosure, i have spent money on this game but that’s because the stories are so intriguing. My ONLY complaints are that it occasionally takes several hours for a match to be “online” again, that many of the stories are unfinished and I’d like an option to filter sexual preference. Otherwise, i love that you get to change outfits, that special features of your avi are mentioned, that there are two options for the same story (ex: a male/female option or an alternate view female/female or male/male option). I tried MeChat after playing this and it is so shallow. Sure the updates happen sooner but there is little depth to the characters, unlike on lovelink. You want quality writing and immersion? You earn maybe 100 gems on a good day, but to have a half decent response in a conversation costs almost 300!! ✓ Good but...This is such a good game. I really enjoy the different story lines. When a story/ profile is ended (to go away for a while) it gets greyed out. This can be good bc you can see which stories you have to wait to be updated. But it does take a very long time to update. Also with gaining gems you do have to spend money or wait and gather gems for a few days to get enough to use them. When this app first started updating weekly however it’s been two weeks since an update, if this goes on for a while then it could become annoying as I have over half my profile greyed out 😕..Version: 1.2.7
✓ Love it but it needs some workI love this app, it’s amazing and it keeps me occupied (when my “dates” are around and online). I recently reinstalled it again and was pleasantly surprised to see the VIP option finally take place! However, I’m a little disappointed as even with the VIP option, the amount of gems we collect is still rather low and the answers for a better ‘connection’ with our dates or even to unblur pictures is still rather pricey! I thought that perhaps with a VIP option, it’d be discounted on that or perhaps ‘free’ to do so. I am paying $10 a month after all If the rewards for leveling up on a relationship with someone could be more gems, then it really would make it more worth on spending the gems for the ‘better’ answers. However, it’s still not as worth it due to how quickly the gems can go down due to those answers. I love this game but I can’t afford to spend so much money on gems when everything costs over 100 gems! I really do enjoy and love this game, but I’m still disappointed how the prices of gems is still not better balanced with spending them. ✓ I really like this game, BUT…I really enjoy this game. The story lines of my matches have all been interesting and I really love the fact that there are so many story lines like vampires and time travel! But as others have mentioned the cost of choices and opening selfies is far to expensive compared to what you can earn free on the app. Also my three favourite characters are now offline and I’m unable to chat to them. From other reviews I’ve read that means their storyline is now done from what I can assume and I won’t get to talk to them again… I understand that it’s a lot of content to keep adding but some of them are complete cliffhanger endings and this leaves me so dissatisfied with how they end. 😞.Version: 2.1.8
✓ A fun game but too many issuesPositives: The game itself is really interesting and fun. You get to talk to a range of characters with different story lines. You get to go on dates with these characters, and some of the scenarios really pull on your heart strings. Negatives: There are quite a few bugs and glitches within the game, regardless if there has been an update to fix them or not. Some players have even been locked out of the game for no reason. The price of gems are too high for what you actually receive. Finally, they keep adding new storylines (which is great) but neglect the other characters that we have already matched with. ✓ Addictive but needs workThis is an overall amazing game!!! However in saying this the gems are what bring the entire game down… not everyone can afford to fork out hundreds just to play the game and the amount of gems you earn by leveling up your chats is ridiculous compared to the expense of some of the options in the game like unlocking the pictures as well as options that can alter the game. If the gems for levelling up were increased just a bit more and maybe the photos instead of being between 120 gems to 300 gems per photo I think they should stay at between 120 to 150 gems max so that it’s easier to obtain and keeps players interested rather then being unaffordable. You get daily gems where you can choose between a set amount of 30 gems or watch an ad to get 40 gems which is a really awesome feature as week as the watching random adds throughout gameplay to get 6 gems at a time obviously this one doesn’t go far but it is a great touch. If this was increased to 10 gems or even 15 gems it would make the game a lot better. I think the conversation aspect is great but again I believe the cost of gems should be the same range for this as the photos are to make it more affordable and keep players wanting to play the game without making them fork out hundreds or giving up if they can’t do that..Version: 1.8.12

✓ Love the game HATE the Marco storyline!Lovelink is such a great game, I play it all the time BUT I also loved the marco storyline but now I’m just mad at it. I wasted diamonds on a storyline that only makes me depressed - the story is unrealistic and TOXIC! No one in their right mind would do what our character has in response and we all would have dumped him and his hella problematic Taylor and Sally ages ago. The story needs a re-write because there is no redeeming Marco’s pitiful choices. I also find the waiting for diamonds so annoying! The surveys DO NOT work and I’m owed about 1000 diamonds from them - don’t bother with Lovelink support they don’t care and don’t answer their chats. ✓ I love this but you’re greedyI have to say I really love this game however I don’t like how the gem system works. Honestly it just seems like your pulling the same thing that all these other dating games pull (except maybe MysticMessenger) you get us pulled in with a wonderful story and idea but to really delve deep we have to use gems. And the thing with all dating games money system is that it’s a greedy scheme. It’s a “give us gems or you don’t get to unlock other options”. And once you run out you have to pay for more because the daily rewards only give 15 but most actions requiring gems are over 100. Maybe if there was other options, like watching adds to unlock these paths or pictures, but so far there isn’t. Y’all are scamming people out of money, without any real benefit. Like can we replay the stories without having to spend gems on pictures or conversations again? Or do you guys just want to keep milking the cash cow? For now I’ll stick to pc dating games. ✓ Needs workOverall it’s a very good game and quite addictive but as other reviews have mentioned the cost is very high and for someone that doesn’t have it if money the game just doesn’t really work as you can’t meet with the person if you don’t have enough gems and you can only be rude to the people if you have no more gems and that’s not how you are as a person and what’s worse is if you get into the story then they grey the person out and disappear for a while and doesn’t even they’ll you when they will be back so yeah it’s a good idea but would be nice if gems didn’t cost so much or you got more gems throughout the day and we could finish the story before they stop replying.Version: 1.2.24
✓ Offline for mouthsI loved it at first but then, all the characters go offline and it’s really annoying. There have been characters who have been offline for moths it makes the app not so good. It’s all so really expensive, but it does give you gems gems every five hours. You can also watch ads to get more gems but it doesn’t give you much at all. However, there is way too many options to spend gems and it’s not at all feesable as the amount of gems you are rewarded isn’t enough and not a lot of people can afford to spend money on a game. ✓ It’s a good game, but has a few downsides...I got this game pretty soon after it was released and I played straight through it. I’ve spent LOTS of money on it since downloading it in September because I really enjoy it. My issue is that I feel like the developers released it before it was ready. After playing through so many character stories, they have all “gone on break.” It’s been such a long time since they’ve all become unavailable and there’s not really been any word on when they will be returning. The game has also had some weird error screens that have come up, but the developers did manage to resolve these in a semi timely manner. I really enjoy the game, it’s well thought through and very engaging. For this reason, it makes it disappointing to not be able to continue with character stories. And it’s discouraging to not really have any feedback yet from the developers about when our matches will return. It would have been better if we could have played the game with match stories already fully developed rather than experiencing these super long wait times where there is no end in sight. ✓ I like this game but I have grievancesI like this game I really do I think it’s a very interesting concept and it’s fun and time-consuming at most points but the only thing I have a problem with is that when you start to get a lot of matches you start to run out of gems really quickly and they give you the option of getting gyms every five hours and they give you the option of getting gems that you can watch an ad for and then they give you the options of getting free gyms where you can do task and complete them and you’ll get more gems I hate that I hate everything about that I am the kind of person that when I really get into a game I will watch 1000 ads just to keep playing just to keep going but they give you the option to watch one ad and get six gyms and that’s it after that you have to go into the free section and then try to get gems I’m not doing that it’s a waste of my time and it’s a waste of my energy Plus most of the tasks are making you sign up for things give me an option to continue to watch ads to get gems and I will be way more happier because at this rate it’s slowing down the process of how long I can play or what I can do if it wasn’t for that I would give this game five stars but sadly I just can’t.Version: 1.7.20
✓ Notifications and counterpartsI really like this game and play it everyday but now all of a sudden it’s saying I have notifications and there’s a little 3 next to it but there’s nothing on there, I’ve checked everything and it’s a little annoying having that there when there’s nothing to check. So I had to turn notifications off which means I don’t get notified about the story or the gems. It would be nice if you could choose what it notifies you about like on other apps so I don’t have random numbers next to the app that mean nothing. Also I like some of the counterparts better than the ones I originally picked, it would be nice to be able to pick them instead or at least have had a warning that you can’t pick them now that you picked the other..Version: 1.4.19
✓ Honest thoughtsSo far I am loving this game. The characters are all super unique and so fun to talk to. I always look forward to characters coming online. But there are downsides that I don’t entirely like about the game. I feel like this game would benefit from having characters come online more often. And also more gems as rewards. So far everything you need gems for costs at least 100 gems but you only get 15 from a like 5hr wait time and now they’ve added optional ads to increase gems. But it’s ONE ad with each 5hr reward and the add only gives you THREE gems. It’s ridiculous especially ow that basically every picture to unblur costs 300! It makes the game clearly just a money grab. Please make the optional ads at least double the login reward please. It’s ridiculous. Another issue is the amount of time you have to wait for just one single swipe, maybe waiting that much time should be at least five swipes? ✓ Predatory monetizationGorgeous app, but the monetization model is nothing short of predatory. The best story options are locked behind gems and you can only realistically earn these gems for free every 1-2 days. NPC selfies cost twice as much so that’s one selfie unlocked every 3-4 days and that’s if you’re diligent and watch the ads etc. And there’s a monthly subscription on top of that which doesn’t give you much. Add some FOMO on top of it (characters can unmatch you) and, yeah. “Predatory” is absolutely the appropriate word here. Save your money..Version: 2.5.2
✓ It’s okay, needs improvement.Okay so I love the overall concept and idea of the game, but I do have some notes. I think you should make gems easier to get - for example, lower how many gems we need to (for example) unblur a picture or unlock a certain path. I also think you should have more free ways of getting gems, 15 gems for the daily reward and only 3 gems for watching a 30 second video are NOT ENOUGH! Especially when unblurring a picture alone costs around 200 gems. I understand that selling gems is the way of making your profit, but I still believe they should be more accessible. ✓ Cool concept, well written, too expensivePro-Tip: if you start this game, don’t spend any gems until you’ve identified the character that you like the most, then pour all of your free gems into that character, as spreading them around just means you’ll never get anywhere with multiple storylines. This is a really cool idea for a visual novel-like dating sim game. The dialogue is relatively well written, and the art is pretty cool. All that said, keep in mind that you’re going to be spending ~150 gems per use of special relationship boosting dialogue options, and north of 300 gems to unlock pictures. Keep in mind that you can match and converse with multiple characters simultaneously, which means that you’ll be burning through at least thousands, if not tens of thousands of gems to see everything this game has to offer. This can be a pain since you can only really get a maximum of 15 free gems every 6 hours. My advice to the developers would be to add in the option to watch one Ad per day for a free picture or special dialogue option. ✓ Diamonds...I personally have enjoyed the game so far, I’m normally am very stingy on spending in game currency but this game manages to entice me to spend it very generously. But speaking of in game currency i love the daily (even tho it’s more like every 12 hours) diamonds, the gifts for gaining love with each character but as someone who can’t spend actual money on the game i would like to maybe watch more ads for diamonds. I noticed you only get the chance after the “Daily Diamonds”. I personally wouldn’t mind supporting the app through watching ads for diamonds. EDIT: The watching ads has COMPLETELY stopped working, like apparently ads are completely unavailable. I do have one issue... there’s times where you just don’t match with anyone for like a long time unless you jump around profile images, which i understand in some senses, but like it’s a gamble at which ones will work and so far i haven’t seen them again which kind of disappoints me. ✓ Potential to be great, but just a rip off.I cannot believe how much of a cash-grabbing joke this game is. Developers are immensely greedy. A free-to-play game looking for cash injection is fine, to a point. But this is disgusting. You get 1000 gems to start. Great, you think. That will go nicely! Except you soon find that the charge per picture increases to approx 300 gems. Okay, no big deal. Surely I’ll get some gems each day as a free to play kinda thing. Yep, you do. 15 gems. Every 6 hours. That means if you work optimally, it would take you 5 DAYS to get a picture. But that’s not all! Conversation options that progress the story and reactions that build your connections with the ladies COST GEMS. Anywhere from 25 to 150. Doing the math, some of these stories cost in excess of $AU30 each. The real kicker? The girls get mad at you for “ghosting” them if you take too long to reply, causing you to lose the progress you’ve made in their story and any photos you’ve unlocked of theirs. This game is a honey trap wrapped up in the sunk cost fallacy (“I’ve already put some money into it, I may as well keep going now”). Good effort was put in by the devs 👏👏 the emojis are super cute too, and good art. Saving up takes way too long, and some of those aren’t even worth it. ✓ PotentialIt’s a good game but as others have said it’s very expensive. it’s also a bit of a cheek to keep spending 140+ gems to go back to someone’s place and then 3 lines in they have to rush off to work or whatever wasting all those gems. I get the game needs to make money but the current cost in progressing in a story is so high you’d have to spend a fortune to get through it. The options are harsh too, 150 gems for a nice answer or the free one is rude af. Plus the characters go grey (unavailable) so fast and then you have to wait who knows how long til they’re available again and lose interest on the character which isn’t ideal. Overall I think it needs work to make it a bit cheaper or put more work into it, faster stories and better content. ✓ Characters being awaySo initially this was a great game I would pass the time playing this game but the issue is that when you get so far into the chats all characters will go away. This in itself is not a big issue at first but you get to a point where at least a third of them will go away and maybe a year or more in some cases will pass without them coming back. Then when I explain this issue with the help team they just threw some gems at me because I mentioned a similar game has a release schedule that you can track when the chats become live again instead of addressing the issue. ✓ Great App, but too expensive.This game is fantastic but... You need patience if you’re not willing to pay real money. The stories are fun and each one is different. However it’s very slow to progress after a short point, with the amount of gems you need for certain interactions. They get higher the longer you play. Very high. This is from someone who has (maybe stupidly) paid for gems with real money a few times. They run out so quick even after paying that because of how many gems you need for each special interaction (let alone a photo). ✓ It would be great butFirst of all, I spent a fortune on diamonds and most of them didn’t apply to my account but charged me, and glitches in the game caused me to lose diamonds when trying to choose options. It would take the diamonds but the selection didn’t work (tried to buy 10 more matches and it took the diamonds but didn’t give me the matches) I tried for days to contact support to get the 5000 diamonds I’m owed and they still haven’t answered. My other issue is we should be able to choose what gender we want our matches to me. I like women and most of them are men. The cost of diamonds and the cost of the choices are INSANE and honestly a rip off. 300 diamonds just to unblur a photo? And on the dates, when you get to an “intimate scene” you spend almost 200 diamonds just for one sentence that basically says you slept together and that’s it. The choices are never worth the cost of them. It’s insane. I can’t believe they charge this much for choices. The choices and lovestruck app are way better for that, atleast the choices don’t cost 300 diamonds and the packages aren’t so expensive, and it’s actually worth what you pay. Ever since the update, the app glitches whenever you go on a date and half the time it doesn’t work (like the persons head is missing or it’s frozen on one thing instead of changing as the story progresses. It would be such a good app if it’s wasn’t such a rip off and there wasn’t so many issues, not to mention support never answers. I spent a fortune on this app just to lose most of my purchases. ✓ Unpolished gemThis game is brilliant in some aspects; the conversations feel natural, the characters are unique and have interesting storylines (I personally very much enjoyed Jade’s), and the LGBTQ+ inclusivity is amazing. BUT the cost of gems makes the game unplayable to an extent. I can understand needing to make income from such a big project, but the prices right now demotivate players, and are probably driving down purchases. ✓ Dumb, but also charmingI wasn’t expecting much from this app as I saw it in an instagram ad and it’s basically a game version of Tinder, but it’s kind of nice. I like the characters and the art. But I do wish there was more of an option regarding what to say to the characters. Instead of just positive responses with no challenge or anything, I think it would be a lot better if users were able to give negative responses, or at least responses the character wouldn’t like. Right now it just feels like I’m watching a graphic novel instead of playing a game, so while the stories can be interesting it doesn’t FEEL like a game. I want consequences. I want the potential to ruin the budding relationships. I want the ability to give better responses. I also think it would be cool to be able to customize your own profile. ✓ Fun game but requires too much gemsThis game is funny and interesting. The jokes are corny but they are hilarious. The personality of each character stands out enough to actually be different. The storylines are really cute as well. It’s fun to progress in each story to see where the characters go and what they do. The game needs a few improvements though. The premium items cost WAY too many gems. By the time you earn enough gems to use on a premium item they are all gone at once. It’s hard enough as it is to earn the gems so it makes you not want to even use them. Also the gem packages are just ridiculously cheap for what you pay. It takes too long to earn gems because the amount you are able to earn each day is very minimal. You only earn like maybe 15 gems here or there every so many hours. That isn’t a lot to get you anywhere. This makes it hard for any teens to actually play given that this game is for 17+. Parents aren’t going to pay gem packages for the tiny amounts you get for purchases and you don’t earn enough to make a difference. The game is quite odd in terms of who you chat with. Yes it is consensual and you are in control but the first character I got was someone who is in prison and my character was given 2 options to either respond in ways that were flirtatious or respond in ways that were rude toward him for being in prison.
