Magic: The Gathering Arena for Positive User Reviews

Not Pay to WinThe daily/weekly quests are more than enough to get the money needed to play the game. I have purchased several anthology sets and packs without spending a physical dollar. You just have to invest the time, which is fun to do because it’s a game I enjoy. Take the time to see for yourself before you take these other reviews at face value..Version: 2021.4.0

It’s good but they need to fix a few thingsThe game works perfectly fine but they still haven’t fixed the glitch where you can’t complete the last level for the colour decks… been waiting for 2 or more years now, please fix it.Version: 2022.22.50

Great game, some unfortunate downsides.Played Magic for many many years, tried multiple versions of the online format and this is there best one yet. It does have its downsides though, like even having the most recent model of phone out right now will not save your FPS from taking a huge nose dive once you have some 100+ token/cards in the playing field. Wish there was an easier way to come by wild cards as well as they are crucial for building the deck you want to use to progress..Version: 2021.9.0

If you like magic you’ll like arena. (If your phone is good)Probably not the best way to get into magic unless you have some friends that get into it with you. Jumping in online while new to magic is just gonna get you stomped and convinced that the game is pay to win. Find other new players to play with and you’ll love it. (Also if you don’t have a recent/powerful phone your gonna have a bad time with magic arena).Version: 2021.4.0

Good but rip offGood and fun because it’s Magic the gathering but the economy is a pure ripoff. Try too built construct format deck and you have the feeling off getting stole. Too bad.Version: 2021.5.0

This game isn’t a pay to win.As a legitimate mtg player, this game is not pay to win. You can do just fine without using a single penny for anything, really. And if you do use money; you won’t be better than other players as the cards you play don’t really matter, HOW you play them makes the difference and to be honest I find people who disagree dumb... Anyway, this game is perfect for short games and to have fun when bored. I also like the mtg arena exclusive cards which...replace unavailable cards? But yeah mtg arena is truly a great game..Version: 2023.26.0

Thumbs up on iPadWorks well on a 13” screen. Most importantly, like any game on the AppStore, it CAN be played in Landscape mode, thank god! Decent feeling when flicking the cards around with the Apple Pencil. A little buggy here and there, but nothing too dodgy to lose it a star. Loads into live games instantaneously with zero lag. If you’re wanting to play this on a mobile phone screen, then maybe its not the best, but if you’ve got an iPad and you want to play Magic on the move or in your bed etc, its a top pocket find..Version: 2021.4.0

UI bugs, slow, not random? On iOS and macOS, the turn button sometimes gets stuck. Then you lose a whole turn until it resets. It's terribly slow on older iOS devices, they really need to cut the memory and graphics usage. (It's really not that hard honestly, the graphics aren't that detailed.) And the first hand after a deck edit is really predictable - are they really shuffling the cards right?.Version: 2021.4.10

IOS app greatly improved!Latest builds have sorted out load times and crashes on iOS - I switched to laptop for a while but now it’s running seamlessly on iPad. Great job!.Version: 2022.17.10

Good but some glitchesHey wotc! Love your game, and it’s relatively nice free to play nature, and sweet animations. I’m here mainly because if a new glitch that I’ve noticed. When I’m building a historic brawl deck, I can’t seem to add March Of The Machine, legendary creatures. Like in my fix deck I can’t add lurrus, and with my prosper tome bound deck I can’t add, etali, primal conquer. I know that this is a glitch so I hope you fix it. Continue to improve this great game, and farewell! P.s. (get the pun?, also can you add some kind of trade in system for wildcards?).Version: 2023.25.10

MTG is fun for allAs a fan of MTG since I was 13, there was no doubts I wouldn’t enjoy MTG Arena. You instantly win free decks and cards. And within a few days of playing, you will have enough unlocked to create a competitive deck of your own. Yes there is an in game store, where you can buy packs, cards, sleeves, avatars etc. but you really don’t have to spend money. By completing the daily and weekly quests, you will earn gold and gems to use to buy packs from a huge range of cards to ramp up your deck or build new. When you open packs, sometimes you get silver, gold and wildcards. You can use these when you’re building decks or needing a Pacific card in your deck, by simply looking at uncollected cards and unlocking them. Killer combo deck in no time. Game play is great, as expected. Game interface can be a little confusing, but with a little clicking about. You figure it out. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes reading and strategy. Look forward to playing a game against you Predator (sliver deck).Version: 2022.22.50

Glitchy AF but worth a playBeyond crashing on older models of devices, the card mechanics have not been fine tuned. I have experience life gain effects taking place when they shouldn’t, prevent damage effect not working and a hand full of others. They either rushed the app to market but, considering it took years, I doubt that’s the case or, didn’t actually have magics players test it. I’m just thinking it is a case of either needing to hire or fire some testers before the launch. Once you have played and get to know the glitches you can plan and play accordingly. Really though I would have expected better cuz we definitely deserve better..Version: 2021.3.22

Still Crashes, Not pay to playI’ve been playing for a few years now, and it’s a blast. I’ve never had too much difficulty winning although I’ve never purchased anything. On the downside, it still freezes frequently. I am usually able to close the app, relaunch, and resume playing the match that froze. However, I often lose my turn or a chance to attack/block. I usually end up have to concede the match. To those who believe this game is pay-to-play. Maybe you just aren’t good at playing and/or deck building? My recommendation is to start with mono red aggro. This allows you to play a simple strat, get some wins and earn some coins without needing extravagant rares/mythics. Another benefit is: you generally know by turn 5 or 6 if you’re going to win or lose. If things aren’t shaping up, concede and try again. You can easily churn out 20-30 games an hour this way with a little less than a 50% win rate. Once you’ve done this and earned some cards, just start building decks that correlate with the colors/goals of the daily challenges. You don’t need to win to cast 30 creatures or 20 blue or white spells. May I suggest mono blue control (counter spells) for any challenges that require the use of blue? Anyway, hope they fix the crashes and hope this helps some newcomers. I don’t on quitting anytime soon. See you all in the Arena..Version: 2023.30.0

Smooth running, great M:tG experienceLooks and feels like a tabletop game (almost…). Controls intuitive, good length of time to make your plays without having to wait around forever for opponents. Store and micro purchase side of things is rammed full of stuff I don’t understand or care for, but looks colourful at least. Not played long enough to see if it becomes pay-to-win yet. Game music doesn’t seem to play on my iPad..Version: 2022.21.10

Fix on the goGreat to have available on IOS. Even runs better than my laptop. Has bugged out from time to time..Version: 2021.8.50

Magic is Dope, Arena is notLet me start by saying I love magic the gathering m, it is by far the best game ever made it is an incredible game of skill and one of the most fun things ive ever found period. But arena is such an incredibly broken app it simply doesnt function most of the time. about 50% of the time it just crashes for no reason, I always only get half of the gold from my rewards actually put into my account, there are always issues with sending direct challenges (if you cancel a challenge it just greys out the challenge button) and sometimes you can’t send challenges in certain formats for no discernable reason. The game freezes constantly requiring a restart which loses games all the time. And if you leave the app for more than ten seconds it says “connecting to the server” until you restart the app. Overall this is one of the worst made apps of all time, just compare it to league on mobile which is a much much more graphically complex game which runs perfectly every time. also the fact that the cards in gane are rendered in 3d was a horrible decision, as it leads to a lot of the issues i described above. Lastly there needs to be a penalty for leaving the game without conceding, almost half my games end with someone simply leaving the game and you have to wait for like three minutes for their time to run out. This app is Garbage!!!.Version: 2023.28.40

Excellent gameAlways wanted to play Magic but don’t have time for the card version. Good game play, challenging and F2P is fun. Some small bugs which are fixed if you quit the game completely and relaunch. Usually puts you back in the same game if you are quick. 100% would recommend..Version: 2022.18.0

So much fun! There is quite a few negative written reviews, so I thought I’d say that I love this game! Much of the negative feedback in reviews has been addressed, ie. this game is great on iPad now. Yes, there are bugs every so often, but they patch regularly. All in all, a fantastic game. Now I just need to find some people to play Magic with in-person!.Version: 2023.29.10

It’s a game, hobby, and enables get-togethers in personThis game can get expensive but there’s lots of good content added regularly, so it’s worth it. What I particularly like is that there are many YouTubers who make videos on MTG Arena decks every day. This is interesting and watching them in the evening also helps to send me to sleep! This is actually brilliant because I get good quality sleep too. If you want to use this app as a vehicle to socialise you can because it facilitates playing the physical card game and there are local clubs for that. MTG Arena is better than Hearthstone and other collectible card games because with MTG Arena you can play easy decks or very complicated decks - other games don’t have the same level of potential complexity or variety of formats. For example, MTG Arena could hold your interest every day for the rest of your life, but other card games are too shallow for that..Version: 2023.23.10

Good, couple small issuesPlays amazing in mobile and desktop. Easy interface and slick look. One big issue is the store is different for mobile VS desktop. I wasted $60 trying to buy gems because I thought a pack was unavailable, turns out it was just unavailable on mobile and I could have saved the $60 buying the same amount of gems through the desktop client. When I asked to refund and swap the difference they declined because I’d already spent the gems…a better company would have helped more.Version: 2022.22.0

Fun and free!Gameplay is excellent and the interface helps you navigate the game and understand more complex mechanics. The graphics are great and I like the options for personalisation. You can play and have lots of fun without spending any money. Excellent overall..Version: 2023.27.0

Good game with some frustrationI really enjoy this game, it is well made and and is great for quick MTG games It would be nice if there was the ability to block players who quit without conceding when they are loosing, there are far too many times that I have to sit and wait for the timer to count down before I can claim the win, it is very frustrating. Oh and a 4 player commander option would make this game truly awesome 👍.Version: 2023.25.10

Core game excellent, the rest needs workIt’s a real Magic experience, with interesting games and good visuals. The free-to-play options are good, and you can realistically be competitive without spending a lot. However, the Home interface is cluttered and confused with suggested play options not even including limited events that you are in the middle of. The Decks screen also needs improvement to make it easier to build and categorise decks. The mobile version also suffers from being unable to collect stats like the desktop version. Also for some reason, sound on my iPad Air 4 (iPadOS 14.5) doesn’t work unless I use a Bluetooth speaker or headphones..Version: 2021.4.10

Great way to learn the best card game out thereMagic the gathering an amazing game with complicated mechanics and MTG arena really makes it easy to learn how to play and master the game. Makes it easy to enjoy a game for those who might not have time to go out on a Friday to play in person. Is it pay to win? Yes, I’d say it is, whilst you can grind out a good deck for free like most games with a bit of money you can get ahead earlier. You could continue to recycle gems so long as you are successful in drafts. But what game isn’t? Magic has never advocated to be a cheap game to play, even in person you are always rotating cards in standard and don’t me started on modern! It’s an amazing platform for you to learn how to play, mechanics, steps etc etc. and if you want to take it further you can invest in real cards or on the app and take it competitively!.Version: 2023.29.0

Perfect Mobile ExperiencePerfect Port of the pc version. Works better on iPhone in my opinion. Great work..Version: 2021.4.0

The TCG that started it all now on device smaller than two Magic cardsIf you like MTG and want to have a quick game without booting up the PC this is perfect - a client that fits in your pocket. If you’ve come from a bigger screen watch out for a few restrictions caused by the smaller screen - the deck lists are in the vertical view. I haven’t tried this client starting from scratch, so can’t say if this would be off-putting for new players..Version: 2021.4.50

A great way to enjoy Magic the GatheringAlthough it doesn’t beat playing in person, Magic the Gathering Arena is a good way to explore the game and learn how to play. You can spend money on this game, but is a very good free play experience for those who can’t or don’t want to spend money like myself. My recommendation for more casual players is to use daily gold tasks to buy into quick drafts and play historic brawl for their constructed experience while they learn the game. Some of the more competitive formats can be intimidating until you get the hang of things..Version: 2023.23.10

Well done game, not “pay to play”I spent $10 dollars on an introductory package and have since gained tons cards just by playing. You don’t need to grind, you just need to play and enjoy the game and cards will come. The system does a good job of matching you up with like quality decks even for someone brand new..Version: 2023.30.30

Got me back into MagicA few UI bugs as others mentioned, but still really fun. I hadn’t played Magic for 15 or 20 years but this gave me a huge nostalgia rush even if all the cards are different. I’ve also found while you can spend real money I really haven’t had to, while being able to build a competitive deck and have loads of fun. Thanks!.Version: 2021.4.0

Playable but slowThis version is better than the previous iterations of magic. But the load times are so slow. This lack of speed is also noticeable just scrolling through cards..Version: 2021.7.21

Finally i can play magic again! Thank you...I have read some reviews who dislike the mobile version of magic, Personally I’m so happy i can now find the time to play magic again since i do not have the time to find and attend tournaments due to real life stuffs, thank you for this far overdue mobile experience, and I’m sure any bugs will be dealt with like any other game, be patient and great full peeps :P.Version: 2021.4.10

Started in 94Been playing Magic since ‘94 and think the gameplay on Arena is really cool. I wish my internet didn’t forfeit games so often but what can you do? Love the video game, arcade game feel. Maybe you can run subtournaments that level you up through mythic faster if you do well. Miss IRL Magic but this is scratching two itches with the competitive gameplay and video game feel. As someone who used to play a lot of video games, I don’t feel the need to look around. I just play Arena. Okay time to draft. Barely any waiting time for drafts to fire! Very nice and convenient. Final random thought - could be cool to somehow play group games. Like 2-headed giant where the teams can easily talk to themselves (Discord, etc) without opponents hearing. Okay thanks for developing. Keep up the good work. Also would love to be able to trade my uncommon and mythic wildcards for rares. Even if the trade is bad for me. Rares will never catch up to uncommons or mythics so every uncommon and mythic I get from here out is basically useless. Alright that’s it. Rock on.Version: 2021.4.10

RiggedIf you play this game, don’t spend any money on it as it’s rigged with fake players. I’ve spent hundred’s on here which will no longer will be spending a dime..Version: 2021.12.10

Surprising, in the best way!I downloaded this on a whim of nostalgia. Glad I did!! For something that is F2P you get a really good base of decks, packs are easy to earn through play so it doesn’t feel like pay to win at all! I have experienced some crashes on tablet, I bought my iPad in 2019 so not that old, however I can usually load back into the game quickly and resume. Sometimes frustrating, but not a deal breaker..Version: 2021.9.40

Upgrading versions is a painThe game is great and so is the quality of the mobile version, tried on both iPad and iPhone. Having multiple devices, constantly reinstalling the app and not being able to download the extra 800mb in parallel is annoying. I am not sure if I will have the patience to install the game with every patch, there needs to be a better solution..Version: 2021.4.10

MtgBeen playing magic for 10 years, this is a fairy good translation from physical to technological. I’ll always collect the hard copies but this is great for a player of one with no other players close for a game..Version: 2022.16.50

Bugs need fixingHas some bugs need fixing like cards in my collection that can’t be used in decks. It shows I own 2 but only 1 really exists. Can’t select certain cards sometimes during a match. Ie if you can’t select a creature to destroy it or block it, that’s an auto win for the opponent.. No sound on my iPad Pro..Version: 2022.17.10

Must have app!Arena is an amazing game, the game does an amazing job at explaining how magic works, game strategies, and is easy to understand in general. Many people are complaining about lag with large board states, but it is as mentioned, with large board states only. That is to be expected as the game has to keep track of both the opponent’s board state and your board state. This involves so many various mechanics that it would be expected to have lag. The only other complaint that I could possibly think of is acquirement of cards. The wildcard system makes sense, but it is highly slanted towards players who make in game purchases. I think that it should be a bit more friendly towards free to play users but I still think that is an amazing piece of software. But that most recent complaint is of course very minor and is outweighed by the fact that Arena is free, so they have to make money in some way or form to keep it going. So in short, it does have its flaws, but what app doesn’t. I think that the developers have done an amazing job at bringing arena to mobile and don’t get enough credit..Version: 2021.3.22

Great, but...I would like to see a few more formats. Historic brawl, for example would be a great addition, or even just commander. Luv it otherwise!.Version: 2021.5.31

Missing cards from collectionEdit: figured out the problem I didn’t have the correct cards in rotation I was trying to play with older cards in the main mode and the cards are outdated (if that makes sense) one of the best games out here. Taught me how to play MTG because I didn’t have any friends in my small town who played this a whole lot so I didn’t get any cards really but this has taught me and I absolutely love it! 10/10 absolutely must play game! I love this game so much! I been playing it for a minute but I had to stop because my phone broke and had to downgrade and it wasn’t on there but I got a new phone recently and re-downloaded it and I got a bunch of packs when I came back that I’m guessing was from the system but anyway I opened them and I got some awesome cards I wanted to add to my deck (in specific cursebound witch) and I went to add it to my black mana deck and it did not show up to select it. I checked my entire collection outside of the deck editor and it definitely shows it’s there along with a few artifacts that id like to add that also don’t show up. Any idea why this could be happening? Am I not selecting the right options or something? All the cards came from the innistrad pack. Not midnight hunt it just only said innistrad..Version: 2022.19.11

FINALLY!Having played a heck of a lot of Arena on PC, I needed this on mobile (ended up using steamlink to play on my iPad!). Great to have a native release to play everywhere..Version: 2021.3.22

Great but please fix some issuesOk first off this is a great game but it could be even better. Please fix some gameplay issues namely 1: when you mulligan it’s ridiculously difficult to choose a card to discard because the cards get bunched so closely together 2: when you have quite a few creatures out and they are “stacked” it’s impossible to activate abilities of creatures on the bottom 3: please let’s see our hands even when it isn’t our turn instead of hiding the cards, my phone screen is plenty big enough, on the back of this you could also remove all the prompts to play instants/ sorceries (since players can see their cards anyway and can easily choose to interrupt a phase), this would make gameplay more flowing 4: make the cards bigger when deck building, some of the text is pretty small 5: make it so tapping a card zooms in on the screen, rather than needing to keep your finger on the screen All this being said it is a good game, but the previous magic the gathering game did have far better gameplay, if that sort of style could be achieved with a few tweaks then I would spend hours on this.Version: 2021.4.10

Great game aside from two thingsI really love this app and it is vastly superior to the old Magic Duels app, but there are a couple things I wish this app had. First, I wish there was an easier way to get card packs instead of buying gems with real money and grinding for several hours to earn enough coins for just one pack. Also, I wish there was an option/mode where one could put together whatever kind of deck they wanted to with the cards in the game’s database without having to buy them first. However, as a trade off, you wouldn’t be able to play against other people due to the possibility of using cards not in the standard rotation. I also think playing against the AI would be required if one was to make a deck with cards from all sorts of different sets. It’s just that I’ve always enjoyed deckbuilding and experimentation with all manner of creature types and mana colors, and it really stinks when you’re forced to only use cards that you’ve bought/earned along with the decks you start with. If they added these features, I would find myself having even more fun than before. App is still great, though!.Version: 2021.7.0

It’s what one expects, although some minor issues ensueMagic Arena is definitely a good game to play on PC and the idea of it being ported onto mobile devices is no easy task, and I think that for the most part the game looks and feels fine when it works as intended. As of writing the mobile version has been out for two days so hopefully by then the issues I state will be fixed. The only issues I have with Arena on mobile is that the ui is a direct copy of the PC’s version, making the screen seem much smaller than it is which can make it hard for some people to see what to press if they want to access their decks for example. Every time I boot up the game I keep getting a “asset error” when there’s nothing wrong with how stuff looks so I have to wait a bit to load into the main menus. Lastly whenever you tutor for a card or have a large board state the game becomes clunky as you can either type the card you want through a filter or search for it manually and have to use a scroll bar instead of just swiping; with large boardstates the game arranges your cards in a linear row instead of a large square like in the PC version so if you want to activate a creatures ability you swipe to scroll across your creatures which makes the game lag for a bit, and the overall size of what makes the game struggle is yet to be determined as I’ve only encountered this about two times..Version: 2021.3.22

Don’t even play table anymoreEasily the best card trading game to date! Regular updates and even old cards get added now and then. Extremely smooth gameplay with a simple yet stylish interface. Always help available if you don’t understand the terminology. Lots of events to join which consistently change so doesn’t get stale or boring. New seasons roughly every 3 months with new cards, new abilities plus loads more. Nice visuals and cool animations when certain cards enter the battlefield. Can unlock new card sleeves and even treat yourself to some edgy card styles to spice up your decks. I personally can’t really slate this game except maybe the reward system. Could be a bit more rewarding. Oh and please bring us 2 HEADED GIANT soon!!! And 4 way free for alls!!! Been dying to play some proper multiplayer games!.Version: 2021.10.0

FantasticEverything i wanted from the mobile version, wonderful job i play every day and i love the little extras like cards sleaves and pets.Version: 2022.22.10

One of the best free to play games - and it’s Magic!A fan of MTG already, but this game is so accessible, easy to use, easy to get resources to make decent to top tier decks without investing too much money or too much time - I don’t grid the game and still get what I want to make decks fun and playable. The ONLY reason i gave this 4/5 is I love multiplayer. Commander. Planechase. Archenemy. Even casual multiplayer are all missing. I appreciate that in order to maintain enough of a player base for duels with short wait times then desire not to dilute that but come on - it’d be super fun!!! And people would spend resource on non-standard legal cards to make those decks. Everyone wins!!! 🙂 Other than that - I love the game. I’m on everyday and the midweek magic challenges keep it fresh each week too..Version: 2022.15.0

Review of Magic: The Gathering ArenaI would like to express my appreciation for the time I have spent immersed in this gaming experience. While it has come to my attention that some individuals online have raised concerns regarding its potential pay-to-win aspects, primarily due to the necessity of acquiring gems to access packs, I wish to clarify that these packs can indeed be procured through in-game efforts, utilizing earned gold. Personally, my approach has been focused on acquiring gems to access specific Lord of The Ring cards. However, I must admit that the initial rewards from these packs bear resemblance to loot crates, often yielding underwhelming results, which is in contrast to my experiences with physical card packs where valuable cards are more frequently obtained. The game offers various playstyles, but I anticipate that future updates could introduce the option of accommodating four players at a single table, fostering larger and more engaging gaming sessions in addition to the standard one-on-one format. In conclusion, I find the game to be enjoyable overall. Although there are minor areas for improvement that I would like to see addressed, it serves as an excellent source of entertainment for those who prefer not to continuously accumulate physical cards or who are unable to participate in off-site tournaments..Version: 2023.30.0

I love this game but there is still room for improvement.I have played magic for over 15 years and this app has rejuvenated my passion for standard. The one major downside to this app is it crashes on my IPad all the time I do not have this issue on my computer but if I play for an hour the app will crash 4 to 5 times. Luckily they have made it to where you can easily rejoin games you have been kicked from. I am really looking forward to them adding 100 card brawl as commander is my favorite format. It would be a dream come true if you could play 4 person commander game on this app with my friends. My other suggestion is that they should add some kind of trade in system to simulate selling unwanted cards. An example being where you could trade in 2 possibly 3 (I know it has to be stingy this is buisiness) unwanted cards of a certain rarity for wild cards of a similar rarity. If this game had this feature I would be much more likely to sink money into boosters. Thanks for putting so much effort into this excellent product if you continue to improve and support free to play I will continue to want to pay more money..Version: 2021.7.21

Awesome!I have played this a LOT now and had very few issues. Am guessing it’s only on older devices?!? Such a great game and you don’t need to pay for cards if you don’t want....just play games, get XP and open packs! Love the wild card options. My only wish would be to open back up the older packs, but that’s just me nit-picking. Thanks for a great game! Me and my step-daughter have really got into the cards now too as a result of this game!.Version: 2021.5.61

Thank goodness for the New Cappena Update.Up 2 stars (4/5) ****The latest update for New Cappena, made everything load faster 1 minute as opposed to 3 minutes and eliminated about 75% of the crashes, now crashes about every 6-10 games instead every 1-3 games. Plus the reload is fast enough that you can usually get back to the game before you get a time out loss. The lagginess is way less common. Nice work! Old review 2/5 stars Excellent representation of the most fun and complex game around. All of things that make MTG the best: deck building, playing against friends or people from around the world, customizing your strategies and testing it out against Ai, and blinging cards out. But Arena is BUGGY and UNSTABLE on the iPad! Every third or fourth game, CRASH! You LOSE! Now wait for 3 minutes (or more) for the app to reload so you can get back to the game, nope- you lost, now you will need to wait for a new opponent… this gets REALLY BORING! I would love to enter some of the tournaments, but I am not willing to throw money away just to get crashed out of tournament waiting the FRUSTRATINGLY BORING three minutes while the app restarts to see Defeated. I really want to give you more stars and purchase more games and cards. PLEASE FIX! I am about to delete..Version: 2022.16.0

Great game - However I’ve had an issue on a purchaseGame is great simple to navigate around. However I purchased a welcome pack then I’ve had issues. I’ve reported it but even though it states your contactable I find the responses are slow. I now have an issue when I go to store or any of the sub headers that state Store error / internal error. I have deleted and re-downloaded the game. Updated the game and I still have the same issue. Funds taken no bundle given. Hesitant to purchase moving forward.Version: 2021.3.22

New startWhen I was younger I used to collect Magic cards. However I never learned how to play the game. It has been over 13 years since then and I decided I should learn to play. I didn’t exactly find a deck that suited me and I backed out for a while. I have started playing again and I have an idea of what I want to build first. It is a dual red and black sacrifice deck. It will be a bit difficult to get my hands on though which is the only problem. On the other hand, I would like there to be an in game forum where people can chat with each other and give deck building advice. It would be nice to have that. Overall I enjoy the game so far and I want to try out as many strategies as possible. It won’t take long for me to get really good at the game. I have been playing card games since I was in elementary and am a quick learner. In about a week I might be at the skill level needed to master that deck I want to build. And that is all I have to say as of right now. Thank you for all your hard work on designing this game. Not just the card designers, the one who created the game, but everyone who had a role to play. Whether it is small or not that doesn’t matter. What matters is that you all were able to create something remarkable. And for that you should all be proud..Version: 2023.27.10

Game changer. This is a real game changer. I’m just surprised it took so long. Yeah. It can be grindy working towards building the deck with cards you want, wild cards. Are so hard to come by, especially mythics. But man. Playing magic. Against real people. It’s fab. I do wish the emote option was simpler. I want to say thanks if I make a play and my opponent says nice. Sometimes it’s there other times it isn’t.here’s hoping it increases paper magic players too. I can see people who fancied trying this, downloading this and then getting onto paper Magic. Let’s get those LGS full again when we can..Version: 2021.3.22

Looks really good to play on an Ipad pro 12.9I hope you dedicate time to optimize this for the ipad as there are some perfomance issues like tap doesn’t work or the screen resolution is too zoomed. All the best mtg dev team..Version: 2021.5.61

The best way to learn one of the most complex and fun card games ever!!!I have been playing MTG for less than a year (I have a preference to playing live and with cardboard) but my friend group are all 10+ year veterans. Magic the Gathering: Arena was the perfect way for me to learn the rules, interactions between cards and experiment with deck building, before going to my local game shop and putting my new skills to use. Arena is the Latinate gateway for new players… but be warned: it’s a slippery slope from here!.Version: 2022.21.0

Amazing Game but Suggested ImprovementMy friend got me into MTG and I’ve really been enjoying the app, it lets you test out so many different decks/combos as well as some free decks to try but the pack value is crazy expensive considering there is no form of exchange/value to them (pretty sure it’s similar pack pricing to actual card pack value). My point of improvement would be something small such as wild cards being able to be combined up and deconstructed down for example, 5 common make a uncommon, 4 uncommon make a rare, 3 rare make a mythic then deconstructed 1 mystic makes 2 rare, 1 rare makes 3 uncommon and 1 uncommon makes 4 uncommon. Overall, I’d recommend playing the game as it is amazing but would love if the creators/authors would interact with feedback given on why and why not..Version: 2021.8.0

Enjoyable. Endless possibilitiesPreviously wrote negative review as some major bugs made it a bit. Unplayable but these have since been fixed. I think you have to spend some money initially but otherwise you get a drip feed of cards through playing and winning. Possibilities are endless and you can tailor decks to suit your style. Matches against opponents for new games quickly and it’s a lot of fun :).Version: 2021.5.60

Fun even when freeToo often there are games that get you hooked but then to progress and keep being fun you either have to grind for hours which removes some of the fun or invest real money. Yes you still need to grind to a degree here but with the daily quests and other parts you can get quite a lot of packs and gold very easily without spending a penny. Yes that means you do not have 10 highly competitive decks but in the real world you would not either without investing probably thousands of pounds. Having played the card game on and off since Lorwyn this is a great way to come back into the game without having to invest heavily to play standard or the new version of extended. It would have been nice if it had modern available if that is still a thing but the database would need to be huge! There is a large download fairly regularly so it’s good to have WiFi to do that!.Version: 2021.9.0

Great way to start your MAGIC journey. As a whovian I bought the Doctor Who commander sets & downloaded arena on recommendation to learn how to play. I love this game, to quote many others, ‘easy to learn, hard to master’, but this app really does help you learn the basics & beyond. The app runs well on my iPhone 13 Pro, for the most part. As for the pay to play, if you want to be competitive or have nice fancy stuff then yeah sure you can spend a fair bit of money. But if you are happy to just play, win or lose, you can grind for quite a bit of stuff. No need to spend a penny. I would highly recommend this app to anyone new to Magic or anyone who’s a fan..Version: 2023.31.0

Great gameArena is fantastic. Five stars! If I were to ask for some upgrades I personally would like to be able to enter codes on mobile. I would also like to be able to assign pets to specific decks without having to change it in my profile. Lastly and most importantly I love the mastery pass but two things bum me out. I’ve missed several of them and have no way of playing through them to unlock packs and stuff. Secondly, once I pay for a pass I feel like I have a gun to my head forcing to finish before time runs out or else I lose value. Cmon this is predatory, I already gave you money to enhance my play experience don’t ruin it with overt capitalism. I feel like a wrung out sponge! Once I pay for a mastery pass I should be able to have access to it until I complete each level. I should be able to see all my mastery passes in my profile and select which one I want to work through. Once completed you get a little gold star and get to stare at it whenever you want and then work on the next pass. Old passes could be sold on the store page and I would give you lots of money for them. That is it. I would be totally satisfied. I could go to work and earn money only to hand it directly to you so that I can play my favorite game the way that I want to play it..Version: 2021.5.0

Great ApplicationThis is everything I wanted in a mobile app for MTG Arena. I had already been playing since Beta initially released. I was one of the vocal fans pleading for a mobile port. I love being able to play wherever I am at. The only issue I have is the lack of a multiplayer option and the likelihood that its never going to happen. I miss the days in MTGO when we had 2HG. That is my favorite format. Now I play mostly brawl but that is fun too. The issue I have with standard is more of a how magic works issue and has nothing to do with the app itself. The app itself is not without its flaws but they regularly update it and are always adjusting things. I appreciate that. The lack of trading or even being able to craft cards into desired cards is annoying. It’s greedy and I don’t like it. Yet, even with that said, MTG Arena is less expensive to play than paper or MTGO. Anyone complaining about cost just wants everything to be free. Sorry MTG has always been a game that cost to play. You also can build off of the free component so its not pay to play like some say either. It’s just a matter of how you play..Version: 2021.7.21

Love this CG!I played the card game in my teens and I’m so excited to return much later in life with this user friendly app. Easy to get into with tutorials and does not force you to spend money to have fun .I highly recommend for anyone that loves card games..Version: 2022.22.10

As a legitimate mtg playerThis game has been given ratings lower then absolutely necessary, like most games; one might get ahead by paying money. That’s a fair trade. The things you love in life don’t normally come free. Mind you, this game is absolutely not pay to win, as a 20y old dad I gotta say I haven’t spent a dime on the app and I am in platinum ranks. People get detoured because they are new, they play like trash, find your deck find your play style and accept a hard travelled road. My three pieces of advice for all who download is to play ranked when you first start. This is so as to be level headed with other baby players. Secondly make sure that you stick to a few decks one or two and put your in game currency into those it’ll help you understand the grind. Lastly never do historic unless you accept facing people beyond legendary, stick to standard it’s just the right move. I gotta say, this is my favourite app to have ever come to iPhone. Play with the mindset that you’ll lose 50% of your matches, because others are trying just as hard as you. By not conditioning yourself to a I can’t loose mindset, you allow room for improvement, and you’ll soon win 85% of matches like myself! In game name -Udiwah.Version: 2021.4.0

Game freezesI’m a little different from a lot of these players as I started only in 2015 on Xbox and became hooked. Strangely enough, only to the 2015 version (hated every Xbox version afterwards due to color scheme). I love this game and play anywhere from 10-50 matches a day, it’s my go to entertainment. For that reason, I don’t have complaints about getting cards- I play a lot and enjoy the cards I have and the wildcard collection I’ve built. I have bought the season pass a couple times and it is worth it if you play often but I don’t outright buy gems personally. I love the every day deals and how they’re actually decent deals. My only complaint is the game freezes, often causing you to lose rank matches especially if you don’t notice it on time which happens especially if it freezes on your opponents turn. My game takes about 35-40 seconds to start and sometimes even longer to load on the “waiting for player” screen which is confusing and frustrating. This review is for the last version technically because they’re updating as I write this but I’ve had this issue for about 4 months now and know other people in person that have had this issue from the start..Version: 2022.20.10

An awesome option for Digital Magic!Core gameplay is excellent and the digital format is more free-to-play friendly than printed versions, so if you want to enjoy magic, but don’t want to spend much, I encourage you to try it out. Daily quests keep the game engaging and the in-game events are really fun. Particularly the ones that allow you to merge 2 random decks. The only downside that I have encountered is performance when numerous effects are in place. At a certain point the game simply becomes impossible to interact with because of issues such as extremely low fps and lag, forcing you to concede and return to the menu. I’d hope this gets resolved in the future as it can be quite annoying, especially with the enormous amount of tokens that can be generated. Another thing that could be improved upon is the UI interaction with some abilities and cards, for example Halvar. With this card you must still select an equipment and creature before you can choose to not use the ability. This type of interaction is very tedious and unnecessary. I’d appreciate if we could choose to bypass the abilities before having to choose targets first. Overall a very enjoyable game and alternative to printed magic..Version: 2021.9.0

From Newbie to SeasonedI downloaded this app when my boyfriend introduced me to the game in real life. I played Yugioh all the time before being introduced to MTG so I picked it up quicker with just a few adjustments to gameplay rules. My boyfriend and I played commander with real decks so transitioning to standard play was a bit of an adjustment but I loved it! It took a little bit of playing to start unlocking cards for a good deck to play in the ranked games, but I’ve ended up in the gold-platinum ranking every time! If I was willing to play more decks that included black cards I’d probably get higher but black isn’t my favorite card type to play. My boyfriend definitely noticed a difference the more I played in the MTG app. He said I was rapidly becoming more of a strategic player in commander and I started winning about 50% of our games pretty fast! I really love the app and all the cards we have access too! I just wish different land cards came up more often in the store. I like to see all the different basic land styles for real life game play and I wish I could add them to my virtual decks! Highly recommend this app! I have never spent any real money on this game and I still enjoy it immensely!!.Version: 2022.18.0

Alchemy is a mistakeI absolutely love Magic arena, it has made a beloved game infinitely more accessible. Despite its flaws it’s true to what it means to be, with daily quests and win rewards and ways of giving players more cards (except the vault system is stingy). However the introduction of alchemy is a bastardised version of the game that adds nothing, the card additions aren’t creative, and the balance changes are lazy. the only way i could see it being fun is if it was for an un type set, but trying to force it to be competitive and necessary to play on arena is a travesty..Version: 2022.14.0

Stopped working with Strixhaven updateIt stopped working on my ipad after the last strixhaven update.... :/.Version: 2021.4.10

Five star game, two star performanceI love magic arena and the mobile version looks the part, but is not quite stable enough yet...losing games because the app decides to stop recognising button interactions is a feel bad moment. Having it happen over multiple turns whilst the timer runs down is very frustrating. With some patching for stability this will be a stellar presentation..Version: 2021.3.22

MTG: Arena ReviewThere was a person who already added the fact that they’d like to be able to insert codes in mobile. I HIGHLY AGREE. Not only that but I also agree with them that once you buy a mastery pass, you should be able to complete it at your own leisure. I feel like I have to get my 15 wins every single day while the current pass is out, or else I miss out on a few levels, and then and only then can you BUY MORE GEMS to jump to a higher level. We’re already giving you plenty of money, why does everything have to be timed? LASTLY, ADD HISTORIC BRAWL AS AN OPTION. Y’all have plenty of amazing historic cards but the only option to play with them is regular historic. I used to have another profile, had plenty of cards from Ixalan and up, forgot about the account, and made a new one for kaldheim and up. I bought a few gems and got some wildcards to make a historic brawl deck for an event you had for a few days, but man that few days isn’t enough. I don’t want to have to put money in my old acct after I already invested plenty in my new one. That is pretty much it...otherwise mobile is pretty legit..Version: 2021.5.31

So much to take inI have to say there is so much content here, it’s tough to take it all in. This is not going to be a game you pick up and figure out in an hour or two…or even a week. But saying all that, there are a ton of tutorials and practice games and stuff to introduce you to it. And also, you don’t need to spend a cent to get a lot of content. I have just started to scratch the surface of the game and I already have a lot of gold and wildcards and such. I plan to save it until I have a better handle on what I want to do. There are just so many options it’s a bit overwhelming. Find an online guide, ideally one that will give you some codes for free stuff, and ease into it through that. Without a guide or a friend who can tell you what to do, you’re probably going to bail. And that’s a shame, as this is probably one of the most played and well crafted games in existence. When a card or series of cards breaks the game, they fix it. The documentation is so detailed that it kind of has its own language - you’ll pick it up eventually. I give it 4 stars because you are going to have to devote a lot of time to get to where you can feel competitive…and I haven’t gotten there yet. I hope that will happen eventually. But I also have a life that I enjoy and I refuse to get pulled into an obsession. That might be a challenge, but I’m willing to risk it..Version: 2023.30.30

Pc 10 Mobile 7Magic on PC is flawless; Magic on Mobile is good. Only issue I seem to have on mobile is when I have too many creatures on the field it’s very hard to scroll through and access any individual creature. The game keeps adding cards to the right of any creatures on the field, so when you have more than can fit on the screen the ones on the left and right start to disappear offscreen and can be accessed by scrolling with your finger left and right; but this is semi functional and very frustrating. So often the timer will appear before being able to access all your creatures when ,say, an opponent attacks with 10+ creatures and you need to assign blockers. Very frustrating; I have lost games because the timer has run out and the game just won’t allow me to scroll to the creatures I need to get to on the field. Only on mobile I’ve had that issue. On Pc this game is the bees knees. The animations for card effects or entry are hyper detailed. The field of view is huge and there’s isn’t that scrolling issue. Honestly Great game.Version: 2021.11.10

Love this gameReally well put together and isn’t pay to win. Yes you might need to play it a lot to unlock cards etc, but when you love the game that isn’t an issue. This is above and beyond most games it seems. The ability to just play to unlock more than enough is completely is great. It’s amazing for when you cant meet up in real life too. All the little bugs and issues are are so small they have not effected my enjoyment of Arena. 🤘.Version: 2023.32.0

Great game but with MOM battle cards there is a huge bugI love this game, I play it far too much but there is a bug I have noticed, I cast Invasion of Ixalan(playing Historic) and then my opponents instantly concede, this has happened at least 5 times TODAY. I am pretty sure this is a bug.Version: 2023.25.10

It would not connectI’ve heard about Magic the Gathering. I wanted to try it out and found this. Unfortunately it would not even connect to the server. Hopefully when this is fixed I can try again..Version: 2021.9.20

Great Mobile ExperienceI wondered how they would translate the desktop version to a good mobile experience. So far things have been feeling pretty smooth for a mobile experience, I can do most of the things I’d like to do. My iPhone 12 can run it better than my laptop, though still have the best experience on the desktop. Couldn’t really ask for more for a mobile version of the game..Version: 2021.3.22

Arena is great for learning!I like that decks are easy to build. The search for cards is useful to me because I don’t study every card of every set. I like to build my own decks based on my own findings however there is a cut and paste option so to speak where you can import a list that can be useful to people who want prebuilt ideas. I enjoy the challenge each game brings and learning new strategies from opponents. When my friends and I get together to play with our physical cards we always seem to be better players each time we meet because of this game..Version: 2023.31.0

Love and hate balance perfectionI love this game as this was the only thing that kept me alive during my breakdowns by being bullied back in Tempe 90’s, the game itself is already beyond my expectations and I think I won’t be able to play as good as I do here on the physical form anymore. On the other hand, my complaint is that the shuffling of the deck is very bad, terrible, almost impossible to understand. I have made my math and for the past 87 games, 7 out of 10 losses is because of the terrible shuffling that leaves me always with no lands. This is on top of having a 60% deck with lands only and not even that helps compensating the results. The physical deck was supposed to have no more than 30% of lands and it worked perfectly. There’s something very off about the shuffling algorithm in any digital game, it will never be a natural outcome. I think that’s the only thing that is imposible to digitally accomplish to mimic the real world and it’s very upsetting and frustrating. And last but not least, the toxic cards idea is the worst thing!, nothing like a good normal game length as toxic cuts the game in half by having 10 counters to lose the game, maybe cards that remove toxic counters like when you gain life too. I don’t know but that was purely evil in a fast-food/fast-gaming way of thinking..Version: 2023.26.40

Works great! For those who are saying it’s crashing on their tablet, hard to use on mobile, maybe look at the specs required and the IOS devices that are supported. I have never had it crash on any device. Been a magic playing since 2005. Just came back recently and this was a great, easy way to get back into it. I’ve gone full digital now, I like to collect cards but for deck playing it’s easier and better playing across the globe. Thanks..Version: 2021.7.21

ExcellentFantastic adaptation of the card game. Truly free to play, you earn plenty of packs just from playing, and playing well will get you heaps of free decks that are pretty well made. Doesn’t bug you to spend money either which is great, which means I’ll happily spend when there’s something I’d like..Version: 2021.5.20

Overall great with a few bugsThe game is a great ‘on-the-go’ version of the paper game - especially given COVID. Overall it works when and the animations are a good touch over the paper version There have been a few bugs but these are generally fixed quite quickly - examples include friends disappearing from your friends list, not receiving invites, etc. It would be good to be able to group decks into folders, that section gets a little cluttered, particularly after you unlock the default decks. A simple folder system to separate decks into test decks, mono coloured, multi coloured, mill focused, deathtouch focused etc..Version: 2021.4.50

Developers have aced thisLook, this is really good - pure and simple. If you like MTG in real life this is as good if not better. Developers - please can you look at some possible improvements - being able to gift cards to friends/ family (my son would love some of the cards I have but he doesn’t play long enough) - are we ever going to see 2v2? Some of the cards and spells are obviously set up for this but it hasn’t happened yet Otherwise it is beyond good! And the developers are very generous in giving enough cards to get stuck in and build up relatively easily with no cash (I have to admit I have spent some money only cause I felt guilty of the number of hours I have played for free - and you can so easily never pay and enjoy)..Version: 2022.18.60

Started playing mobileThe game’s great. I’ve started playing it on my iPad and gotten more used to it there than on PC. There’s a lot of glitches and limitations however, biggest one being I can’t somehow block certain opponents card, for example, hallowed priest, that cost me the game. There’s no ‘can’t block’ ability on it. Second, many players would wait out way too long especially when they’re losing, ended up wasting so much time when the game could be done in 10 minutes, it lasted for an hour. There should be a feature to redeem codes over mobile as well. In any case, the events and quests do keep players playing but besides that, there should be a way to play against equal matched opponents, in terms of the power of their decks. Truly discouraging for new players to keep losing against players with so many mythics, rares, planeswalkers in their deck when they’re only doing colour challenge..Version: 2022.13.10

AwesomeI’ve been wanting to learn how to play MTG since it came out. I have never really had the opportunity to learn how to play but through the app I’ve been able to learn the basics. The graphics are great, the sound is awesome….its a wonderful way even for old farts like me to learn something new. Great job.Version: 2023.31.0

Unplayable due to developer incompetencePay to win game which introduces so many bugs per update it’s ridiculous. With current update, once a crash occurs the app will not reopen forcing you to delete and re-download the app which is currently about a GB in size. The developers haven’t addressed this and a week has gone by. If you’re one of the silly people who has spent a lot of your money on this, you are currently locked out from something you have invested considerable resources in. Avoid. Play the physical version instead. Most people go online to find the current winning decks and then ‘buy’ the cards which are winning putting you at a huge disadvantage if you don’t intend on spending vast amounts of money on this. I spent a lot of time on this over the last six months and the latest update is the straw that broke the camels back. What’s more, changes are made to the mechanics of the game at whim so that if you have invested in a certain card type or deck structure, the affects of said card or structure can be changed at will (Alchemy) and you won’t be refunded for your time/money invested in that style of play..Version: 2022.15.0

It’s a card gameWhy are all these poor people so upset they have to buy cards for a card game? Are you dumb?.Version: 2021.4.0

It’s Magic on the phoneThis is Magic Arena on the phone. It’s very easily my favorite mobile game to come out for years. It is a bit buggy, has some random errors but overall the game is how it is on PC. Did I mention they’re working on it constantly so the bugs that you see are often fixed within 2 weeks. Update: this is the first time I’ve been able to play 100 Card Historic Brawl on here and it is the most fun I’ve had in any MTG game I’ve ever played. If you don’t add this game mode to the play queue options I will be extremely disappointed. This is the first time I’ve seen cards I’ve never seen before used. Please listen to your fan base and make this a normal game mode. Update 2: They have officially added Historic Brawl, I wish it had 30-40 life. Overall I still find this game amazing. Bugs are rare. Occasional error. But for the most part it’s a truly amazing game experience. I don’t think I’ll play paper magic the same. After the amount of hours I’ve locked in I know I’ve trained for paper Magic when I do play. Update 3: a few issues with Historic Brawl and Friendly Brawl wanting alchemy cards to be differently used. Still super fun..Version: 2022.14.30

Great App but Could be More Beginner FriendlyAs someone who has played Magic off and on for years, I think this app has really optimized the deck building aspect of the game, which was often lacking in previous apps/games. All-in-all this app runs very smoothly and it’s quick and easy to get into games. I only really have two complaints: 1) the game frequently freezes (maybe once every 10ish games) and requires a hard restart. Very frustrating when you’re mid-game. 2) I don’t think this is very well targeted to new magic players. The different playlists (standard, alchemy, historic) are not really well explained and it’s not even very intuitive how to even start your first game in the app. More importantly however, unlike past Magic games I’ve played there doesn’t seem to be a lot of mercy for new players who are still trying to understand the core mechanics. Nearly everyone in unranked is using 2 or 3 color decks that are very well designed and utilize a lot of different/complex card abilities. I’d imagine it would be pretty difficult for a new player to keep up, even with the pre-made decks provided..Version: 2022.17.10

How I survived Covid-19 in retail.Sooo, I used to have a pretty nasty Magic habit, and a pretty poor executed habit at that. I was working at GameStop when I first started playing again for the first time (x4). I was buying in small doses and Fatpacks because I loved the experience of playing a scratch off and still having something to show for it even if I didn’t get a decent win. I loved building decks, but sooner or later I would dread reorganizing, fall out of playing with friends, or decide not to spend an hour driving to come to work sleep deprived for Midnight releases, plus let’s be honest sometimes the smell at Magic events can be very strong and oh my god I’ve had people cheat, flip tables and steal cards. Enter Arena, organization? Meh. Cheaters? Nope. Flipping tables? Maybe theirs but mine isn’t flipping unless I chuck my phone or manhandle my monitor. Stealing cards? Yeah, okay. Smell? Maybe if I’m on public transit or it’s the day after chili night at my house. My only gripe is multiplayer. I want to play two-headed giant, Wizard’s Tower, Commander, but this is a great one on one experience, and the season pass is so worth the cash, it’s also (as has been mentioned) a great learning and experimentation tool for the formats provided. If you love strategy and deck building this is, in my opinion, one of the best games you can download to your phone..Version: 2022.16.0

Mtg loveThanks so much for bringing this game to my iPad it so good.Version: 2021.4.10

Mostly wonderful!A great way to get the mtg fix without having to have willing friends. The search option in the collection helps a milly and the tips in the loading screen are genuinely quite helpful! My only qualms come as a direct result of shoddy internet connections. I’ve found if your connection drops while in a game, when it picks up again things can be a little strange. Example: I went to mulligan, the Internet flickered and I started the game with 13 cards in hand. 7 of which weren’t real..Version: 2021.4.10

Devs did an amazing jobTL;DR: Get it, it’s the most convenient (and cheapest) way to play MTG and it’s not pay to win. A lot of reviews say that the developers did a bad job with the game. I’ve never had any problems with bugs. However, bugs would be expected. The amount is tiny compared to the mammoth task of cramming the entirety (and more) of the game of Magic: The Gathering, which is TURING COMPLETE, into an app that can run on a phone. A lot of reviews say the game’s ‘pay to win’ (it’s not) and you should play it in person. As if BUYING PHYSICAL CARDS is free. You can do almost anything from free codes giving you hundreds of packs and quests (to get wildcards)..Version: 2022.22.10

Love it, brings me back to my childhood!I love this game! It totally brings me back to playing MTG when I was a kid. Gameplay is amazing for a card game and features keep getting better. Definitely love that it’s accessible for all players, not just veteran MTG players or those who drop $$$ on the game. Various game modes keep it fresh and fair, though if you want to get past a certain point in ranked matches you definitely need more than just skill. Not sure how matchmaking works for simple “Play” mode, since I’m usually evenly matched but a lot of the time I get destroyed by someone who clearly dropped serious dough on the game and had created the perfect deck (obvious to me only by the expensive avatars, pets, and insane deck collection). If I were to offer a suggestion— for deckbuilding purposes, it would be super helpful if there was a way to create a sort of wishlist that you could categorize for specific decks. For example, I would wishlist a “black lotus” for my “Artifacts” deck. That would make it a lot easier for me— I wouldn’t have to take a bunch of screenshots or write down specific cards I wanted to add..Version: 2021.11.0

Wtf is up with the game updates? When I first started using the app, it broke within 48 hours due to updates. It crashes constantly. Latest update had over 12 hrs of downtime. I just deleted app & am downloading again, as instructed. I’ve done this a dozen or so times in the past four weeks. Real shame, game is so good if it’s working properly…..Version: 2021.8.0

AwesomenessI’ve played other TCGs like yu gi oh and such but you can really tell just how much love Wizards of the coast employees have for this game. You can tell that great care goes into card balancing and new mechanics. The constantly rotating sets keep the game fresh too. I just wanna give a shout out to everyone at wizards to keep up the good work, truly what a terrific game. I will say I’m not a huge fan of alchemy (the online only format with online only cards) but that’s just cause I’m a purist. I just don’t see a point in it as long as the legit paper tournaments never pick up the format, that being said I can appreciate the effort in trying to create something new for the online players. There is a legitimate competitive scene to this game that even extends online which I think is amazing!!(cash prizes if that motivates the competitor in you) I can’t stress enough how great I think it is that you can qualify for paper tournaments and world tour from online, I hope it keeps up in the post-covid era. Even if it doesn’t this is a great place to start with easy to understand tutorials for the uninitiated. try out all sorts of stuff, play around with a bunch of different cards, and maybe test your new paper line-up to buy and play at your local FNM. All in all a 5/5 for me, keep up the good work wizards!!!.Version: 2022.19.10
