✓ My opinionWritten by a tech person, no comprehension of an older person trying to use it. Paid for a year subscription and went to use app and wants me to pay again. Tells me to go to my computer to scan QR code but I don’t have a computer. Typical software provider who doesn’t test their product with all age groups. I like the idea but I don’t like having to employ someone to show me how to use it. I’m sure all millennials will love it but as a baby boomer I’m struggling..Version: 2.10.1
✓ Expensive and no PDF editing!This is a great app and works as described but 6.99 a WEEK is so expensive!! I considered the lifetime purchase but a) not sure I trust that the app won’t be withdrawn and relaunched (so I lose access, it’s happened to me with ‘lifetime’ app purchases like PDF Expert) and b) there’s no PDF editing function. Not even text add/highlight. This would be so useful when working with digital documents and really powerful on iPad. Bringing OCR/ICR, conversion to PDF and PDF editing/markup tools together would be a killer app (plus native OneDrive/Files integration!). Unfortunately at this time there are other apps out there that offer a similar profile and some of the stuff I’ve mentioned for free/lower cost. Sorry!.Version: 2.6.1

✓ Misleading Subscriptions/Billed $9.99 weeklyWhen I selected my subscription it says Full Access (1 week) NOT $9.99 BILLED WEEKLY. Then you can’t cancel from the app itself, you go to Apple Subscriptions and there is NO CANCLE SUBSCRIPTION button only a RESUBSCRIBE option for a DIFFERENT PLAN, it’s like you are locked in. They probably get an extra payment or two out of people before they notice and find a way to cancel (I’m still searching, reached out to Apple.) So they get A LOT OF FREE MONEY. The app itself worked decent, but the one star is for it feeling like you’ve been tricked & trapped and also a little scammy. (Typed fast, please excuse any typos).Version: 1.1.3

✓ DisingenuousThis may not be a full blown scam, but is definitely borderline. uScan, xScan, etc. may show in their App Store profiles that they are from different companies, but they’re in cahoots at the very least, using the same ad to advertise their perspective apps and charging as much as they can from those naïve enough to pay $7+ per WEEK! for their service. They may not have OCR, but stick with Dropbox where you'll at least get 1TB of storage and more automated, clearer scans…for half the price..Version: 2.4.1

✓ Misleading advertising of this appThe ad I was shown for this app makes out as though it can use the camera to scan a complex word doc on paper and convert it to a word doc file that can be edited and/or modified. This is NOT the case. This app merely copies the words from a photo. I don’t need an app for that. Most camera apps do that now. It only does a copy & paste of the words contained in the photo and puts those words into a word doc file. Again, not something I need an app for. Especially one that I’m asked to pay for. That simple task is elementary with any modern smart phone.
